okay so I know Rayla and Callum are super happy and in love right now but the frozen ship sank. the frozen ship burnt and sank and they promised each other they would kill each other if they needed to while they watched it sink.

like they are at the very least a straight passing queer couple

every time people mention the queer relationships in tdp as a general thing I automatically consider rayllum as a part of that

I have no doubts that they are a girl and a boy in a relationship(s4 and after design for callum is the ultimate gender for me like he's so gorgeous beautiful pretty boy it makes my transmasc ass so happy but anyway that was irrelevant)

I have no headcanons of either of them being trans or anything and it still looks like a queer relationship to me(I do have hcs of them being bi or pan or something but even despite that what the two of them have seems so internally queer)

They needed blood for the spell to bring Runaan back, and neither of these idiots would let the other be the one to cut themself, so… they did it together. While making out, because they don’t waste any opportunity to make out this season.

Then much later, Callum reads some more ocean romance literature and finds out they accidentally got Tidebound-married.

i love it when characters are unfair, actually. i love it when they’re uncouth and cranky and hypocritical, i love it when they have cognitive dissonances, i love it when they make good and bad choices for the wrong reasons. i love when they’re short to anger and hard to understand. i love it when they’ve destroyed themselves for nothing but can’t even see either part of it yet. i love it when they’re messy and selfish and bad at communicating. i love it when they get convinced of their own ego and stuck in a feedback loop regarding their own warped paranoia. i love it when characters actively make their lives unknowingly harder for themselves. i love it when characters don’t know they’re in a story. i love it when characters are like real people

The Dragon Prince: Season 6 Episode 3

Are these goofies, gonna have matching magical staff!?!

I just realized their relationship parallels Rayla and Callum's relationship. Of course there are the surface level similarities- One is an elf whilst the other is a human. The human struggles with use of magic.

I can't think of a parallel between Terry and Rayla- there is the life aspect. Rayla was raised in an environment that destined her to take someone's life, meanwhile Terry probably raised in an environment that's abundant in life since he is an Earthblood Elf.

As they continued on their life, Rayla nows protect the lives she was raised to believe as her enemies, meanwhile Terry- Uhhh...sees a lot of death and attitudes that kind of disregard death and life.
