Phantom chuckled. “Works every time. I wonder why Gotham crooks are so scared of me?”

Red Robin looked up at the ceiling, where Phantom seemed to be hanging on by his fingertips. Phantom had his head turned backwards 180 degrees, his body crouched into an unnatural bend with his joints all bent at odd angles like a broken doll.

Paired with his bright green irises and sharp fangs that had an unholy sheen from the glow of his eyes— it was no wonder that anyone who saw him wanted to piss their pants and pass out.

“…. We’ll never know.”

Amity is a Dimensional Dump

So! Amity Park is a hub of weirdness of all sorts, mostly undead, but there are also a bunch of Multiversal oddities connected to the small town.

There are the minor anomalies. 5th Street has a bad habit of slipping into the Backrooms, Old Lady Jenkin's House sometimes has snow in summer, and of course the Night Sky had a 20% chance of swapping views to another Galaxy. Danny likes that one a lot.

But the biggest Anomaly is how many Multiversal Travellers get lost there.

They are always finding somebody wandering the streets with no idea where they are, and have to help them find their reality of origin. Other times they decide to stay for various reasons, ranging from a bad home life to being the only survivors of a Dead Universe. Half of the population if Amity was made up of the descendants of Lost Travelers, so their DNA was really a mixed bag.

Danny was flying over town when he spotted a Blur on the ground below.

He flew down to intercept, and found a boy in red and yellow panicking over his situation.

"Hey! Can I help you?" He called out.

The boy looked up, and gasped "Are you a Hero? I need help getting back to the Justice League!"

Danny chuckled, "Which one?"

The boy looked confused, "The Adult One? I guess?"

"Not what I meant, sorry. I mean, which Dimension are you from?" He clarified.

"Dimensions? What is going on!?" He shouted.

"Okay, let's calm down and restart. My name is Danny, who are you?" He introduced himself.

The boy took a deep breath, calming himself, before saying, "Okay, my name is Kid Flash, but you can just call me Wally."

Once a Hero.

-Prologue-

Danny Phantom fought with the knowledge that at any given time he could be stricken dead. With the knowledge that his own parents, the people who brought him into this world, could be the ones to take him out permanently. The Job was already half done after all.

But no matter what, no matter his adversaries, Danny held strong. Despite the constant threat of the GIW and his parents, despites his rogues’ shenanigans and Vlad’s scheming, despite the citizen’s ungratefulness, he held his ground. Always staying true to his beliefs.

Yes, he made mistakes ,terrible ones. Yes, he has done things he would forever be ashamed of. But he never let others take responsibility for his actions. The very proof being his existence as Phantom.

There is no denying it, Danny Phantom/Fenton is a hero.

An existence to whom every victory comes hand to hand with tragedy.

An existence favored by fate.

And fate is known to be a cruel mistress.

He should have known something was up. It was too good to be true. He should have trusted his instinct. But he ignored it, choosing hope instead of the very thing that kept him alive all these years. All it took was one mistake for everything to domino into a nuclear warhead that quite literally took his everything.

And now, there he is on all four in the middle of a crater of what once was Amity Park and its surroundings. His ears ringing only able to hear the sounds of his own screams.

The once menace, once protector of a city too soon departed wailed in agony. Clutching at his wounds with a strength that reopened his sloppily made stitches. His devastated wails, only interrupted by his sobbed breath and hiccups. His throat was ripped to shreds, tainted ectoplasm pooling into his mouth and lungs while some got projected out with each wail.

Rivers of tears cascaded down his face burning his already bloodshot eyes. His unstable form glitching from ghost to human to something in between.

His once healthy balanced core was now struggling to remain whole. Cracks appearing all over, life and death fighting to preserve their precious Halfa’s existence. Danny felt his body and core beginning to give out. His consciousness finally fading. His body slowly being engulfed into the cold familiar embrace of death.

He fell on his back. His wails dying to choked wet sobs and coughs. Through his tears, Danny could only vaguely see the smoke covered nightsky. Ash falling slowly around him like snowflakes.

He could feel the cold creeping up his limbs then gripping his chest. His already dying heart being embraced by a type of cold even his core couldn’t dream to reproduce. Phantom finally fell silent, his unseeing eyes staring at the starless sky above.

Danny in his last few coherent thoughts felt the pain of his core shattering and reforming itself. It felt like his entire being was set on fire before being melded back together. He felt familiar arms cradling him close to their unbeating heart. The familiar ticking of a clock luring him into a dreamless rest.

DP x DC x Marvel

This is an idea I had yesterday, but I didn't want it to be swept away from the Dannypocalypse, so let's gooooo!

The Lazarus Pits are just more than just leaked ectoplasm into the material world, they're unstable rifts that could potentially tear apart the whole Infinite Realms! (The Fenton Portal doesn't count because technology keeps it stable.)

While one or two could be somehow manageable, the League of Assassins found a way to recreate them and the new model was definitely more unstable than the old ones...

SO this clearly needed an intervention.

Luckily, Clockwork has two apprentices heroes that own them some favors...

This is how Danny Fenton/Phantom, Peter Parker/Spider-man and the ghost of one (1) Tony Stark (as an emotional support ghost) found themselves being loaned to the DC Universe to close every single one of these Pits.

It's a little wild to me that most of the Spider-ManxDC xovers are MCU Spidey and not comic version because it would be so funny if the DC characters were like "This is a child" with Peter and then with Spider-Man they were like "This adult man is an immature asshole" like This Thread (except Batman and Nightwing would 100% clock him like Ben Grimm did as shown in this thread because they know teenage hothead asshole behavior when they see it. they paid attention to their asshole teenage partners. most of the other heroes either sent their asshole teenager sidekicks to various teen teams or their teenagers were more respectful. DP x DC x Marvel prompt/story

In which both the champions of magic and the rulers of the infinite realms would like to know why a spider child in Gotham is adopted by multiple ancients, gods, and sorcerers. The Batfam wants to know what the adoption bait is doing in their city, and Peter just wants to get home.

Peter’s life hadn’t always been a mess… correction, his life hadn’t always been SUCH a mess, but he’d been pretty screwed since the beginning. His parents died in a plane crash early in his life, he doesn’t remember much of them, maybe that’s why he hadn’t ever been quite as devastated as his aunt and uncle by the news, he couldn’t understand what it meant as a kid, and by the time he did understand, he could only mourn the idea of having parents. He hadn’t understood loss until Uncle Ben had died, he could have stopped it, he SHOULD have stopped it. But he hadn’t known that letting a thief go would lead to him watching someone in his family die in front of him. All thanks to his incompetence and that stupid spider. He still remembers exactly what it looked like, it almost looked like a wolf spider, maybe a tarantula of some kind, but he supposed the radiation may have made it to hard to identify, after all he didn’t know any spiders that had glowing green fur.

“Kid, you should wake up before you get mugged,” the voice of his mentor said. Right, what had happened just before this?

…

Ah, right, someone with leftover vulture tech or whatever-they-called-it had thought it would be fun to terrorize a park on a perfectly fine Sunday evening. Honestly, there were villains and then there were people like that. Okay- getting off track. The villain had managed to get a few hits on Peter, but he’d gotten them pinned, not before they had time to plant some emitter device though. After that it’s a bit fuzzy, he doesn’t think that anyone else was hurt(thank god) but he wasn’t in the clear just yet. Peter slowly sat up with a groan, he was exhausted, hm, maybe he should listen to hallucination Tony and sleep. He opened his eyes after a short moment, and luckily didn’t need to shield them due to just how dark it was right now, even if he was pretty sure it should be daytime.

“Okay,” he mutters as he looks around, “in an unfamiliar alley, I’d say that’s not to good.”

He stood all the way up and walked to the entrance of said dark and ominous alley so that he’d get a lovely view of some dark and ominous buildings next.

“I don’t think I’m in Kansas anymore,” he says aloud to himself, checking what he had on him, which was a slightly damaged but currently regenerating spider suit, the clothes underneath said spider suit, plus five dollars and seventy-nine cents in spare change. What? Don’t judge him it was hard getting a job without any legal records, recommendations, or anything that would point towards your existence beforehand.

He recalls the spider suit into a small necklace, the way it usually is when he’s not wearing it, and then shakes himself off before walking down the street. He kept an eye out for anything suspicious, and when that included literally everything, he just focused on trying to figure out where he was right now.

A short walk and several suspicious people later, he stood in front of a library. He liked libraries, but who the heck calls their city Gotham and how the heck did he get there?

He sighed before walking in, trying to look casual and most likely failing. He must be doing at least something right because the red headed librarian at the desk didn’t spare him more then a concerned glance when he came in, she seemed nice. Right the computers, well he’d rather die then have an awkward interaction with the librarian he’d just seen, so he walks around a bit, straining his ears until he hears the faint hum of computers.

He sits down in front of a screen and takes off the nanotech necklace-that’s-sometimes-a-suit, hastily changing it to a USB and plugging it in. Karen still wasn’t repaired, even though he’d been working on her nearly nonstop, but luckily the same couldn’t be said for the suit itself. He opens the computer and hopes that the usb will get everything it needs while he waits… well now he’s bored.

With nothing else to do, Peter looks up “Gotham City” in the search bar and clicks on a map. Yes very nice map, but why is he in New Jersey exactly :)

He saw the downloading thingy-tracker was done, so, as he quickly grabbed the usb port, he walked out of the library a bit to fast to be casual. Yeah the librarian is definitely giving him a look now…

WHATEVER! It doesn’t matter, he’ll be back home in no time with some hacking and swinging. Peter rushed into a nearby alleyway and put the suit on, allowing information to filter across his lenses.

“What day is it?” He asked the computer, effectively muted so nobody outside the mask could hear him.

He needed to know how long he was out for-

What sorta glitch is this? WHY IS IT SAYING THE DATE IS SEVERAL YEARS AGO???

He got over his shock quickly, if this was the past then he might be able to- no he shouldn’t mess with past him, back to the future rules and all that.

Well Dr. Strange did say time doesn’t work like that, so really it’s his fault if I should find an option aside from ‘ask my currently dead mentor to help me gat back to my future.’

“Search for: Tony Stark”

No he did not want to look for different kinds of Stork.

“Search for: Iron Man”

An add with some weird blue guy with an S on his chest ironing a shirt comes up. This isn’t funny, he knew he should have worked harder on fixing Karen.

“Search for: Spider-Man.” He said in an increasingly annoyed, and slightly worried, tone.

Who the hell is Black Spider and why is he ripping me off??? Whatever, okay fine, it doesn’t matter, it’s fine.

DP x DC has been done to death (Hah, death!). Do you have any DP x Marvel ideas?

I do, actually!

I won't write them tho, for several reasons, but I do have a few.

1) DP x MCU: Jazz replaces Natasha in Iron Man 2 in order to get money to save Danny and by the end of the series, she becomes Tony and Pepper's adopted daughter. As the MCU continues, Danny and his friends have also started living with Tony and Tony has a bunch of kids to take care of.

2) DP x DC x MCU: Both Peter and Danny accidentally get dumped into Gotham City via the multiverse. Cue shenanigans as Peter's nervous wreck and Danny's mischievousness create chaos in Gotham City, while Tony and Jazz discover each other through dimensional travel again and are like ???? before adopting each other and then working together to get the kids back.

3) DP x Spiderverse: Jazz gets bitten by a spider and becomes her world's version of Spider-Man. Alongside Danny, they work together to help Amity Park and fight villains. Her canon event is Danny dying a second time (but he comes back to life, so she is technically an anomaly as her canon event is not permanent.)

DP x DC Writing Prompt: Watchtower Technician/Engineer Danny Fenton and Justice League member Dani Phantom

It's been a few years now since Danny Fenton had become the Ghost King. Since then, he's been working hard to maintain peaceful relations with the Living Realm and had found a system to keep his rouge's gallery from being too destructive while still satisfying their obsessions and such.

After that, he decided to semi-officially retire as a hero since he didn't need to protect Amity from his subjects anymore. Choosing to focus on balancing his human life and career, and his duties as the ruler of entire dimension of spirits.

While Danny knew he could never be an astronaut with his "condition", he was able to find a substitute that also managed to satisfy his protection obsession without needing to become a hero again.

Danny Fenton had chosen become an engineer/technician on the Justice League's Watchtower. Which, after a lengthy background check to make sure he wasn't joining as a cover for anything malicious, was ultimately given the green light since Zeta Tube transport was deemed much safer for his "condition".

Meanwhile, the Justice League had finally found a recruit they were interested in for the past few years now since information about him spread to the hero and supernatural communities. Namely, one 14 year old looking ghost named Danny Phantom. However when they did manage to finally track him down, they instead found what looked to be a now 14 year old ghost looking girl calling herself Dani Phantom who looked to be a match for their information on Phantom.

So cue the League coming to the (completely incorrect) conclusion that this must be the hero they're looking for (though he seemed to have become a she, so congrats to her) and don't say anything.

Basically shenanigans with retired Danny Fenton working on the watchtower in peace while Dani Phantom joins the Justice League after they mistake her for a transgender Danny Phantom.

I'm imagining this going in one of several different routes with some potential overlap.

- Both recognize a ghost is nearby (each other) but the League, upon realizing that Danny Fenton comes from a family of Ghost Hunters that span back to 1600s with Jack Fentonightingale, thus assuming it's best to keep Danny oblivious to Dani's existence but they can't keep each other oblivious forever.

- The Watchtower is under attack by some villains and Danny finds a heavily injured Dani among other heroes. As such Danny becomes angered enough to temporarily bring his old hero persona out of the closet (possibly going as far as showing his Ghost King power depending on the villain). Meanwhile the rest of the Justice League are losing their minds over the revelation of them working with the hero's cousin/daughter/clone instead of the original they thought they were working with this entire time.

- One of the supernaturally powerful JL members (John Constantine, Zatanna, Dr. Fate, Shazam, take your pick) recognize that the new employee radiates the same ghostly power as Dani, only stronger before recognizing him as the Ghost King.

- Dani and Danny meet and have their Spider-Man pointing meme moment before nigh-immediately realizing that the League have mistaken Dani for Danny. Thus they immediately realize after that realization they can use this to completely mess with them since they're still unaware.

Probably more ideas but I'll leave that for you to imagine.

I've seen Danny working on the watchtower, both as Fenton for a casual position and as Phantom as a League member. So why not both at the same time only it's Dani Phantom and not Danny.

THE POTENTIAL ANGST THIS CAN PRODUCE OMG (i know you were focused on the phone being stuck in peters chest)

Just, Peter in a stressful situation so he tries to talk to Danny in his head like he used to but he gets no response.

Danny got used to the spider sense so bow he freaks out whenever it isnt going off and then remembering he doesn't have it anymore

Peter and Danny cuddling and trying to get closer together because they miss the feeling of sharing a body despite being physically together now.

I like to imagine they do figure out how to switch who's in control of the body and they do it by sort of dissociating and so when they split and both fall back into that habit but it only causes panic to whoever finds them in that moment of dissociating

Peter tries to float or stick his head through a wall and is confused why it doesn't work. He tries to ask Danny why it isnt working but again gets no response until he remembers they split

Anyways, it can both be hilarious and heartbreaking

DP x DC x Spiderman

THIS CAME TO ME IN A VISION WHILE I WAS MINDLESSLY WORKING AT MY JOB

Ok, recently I've been into the "Spiderman gets transported into Gotham" fics and suddenly I thought "Danny and Peter stuck in the same body while trying to survive Gotham"

(if you want to write this go ahead)

OK STICK WITH ME

Peter gets transported to Gotham after Dr. Strange does his spell but it (the spell not strange) takes things further and transports him to a new dimension with no Peter Parker. He ends up climbing out of a Lazarus pit, his body in absolute pain.

At the same time, Danny is fleeing his home dimension because *whatever you decide* and ends up flying into a portal and overshadowing a person that's, for some reason, in the portal (Lazarus pits are portals to the infinite realms). Because of the weird fuckery that is ectoplasm, Dannys ghost status, and the Lazarus pits, Danny and Peter end up sharing a body but neither realize it yet.

Peter passed out instantly while Danny is kinda out of it (and driving the body he thinks is his) and ends up wandering Gotham, finds some clothes, and finds an abandoned building to sleep in.

Peter wakes up thinking he did all this while on adrenaline and just shrugs it off. He wanders Gotham and then goes back to the building he woke up in, that's when Danny wakes thinking he overshadowed someone and freaks Peter out as well.

Both pass out in shock.

Danny was the one to wake up the next time they woke up and tries to go ghost but can't (something changes though). He tries his other abilities and those work. He goes to find his reflection and his face is different but has his familiar black hair and blue eyes. Peter wakes up and speaks to Danny on his head and now both freaking out again. They calm down and talk about what happened.

Peter says that's his face and body but with black hair and blue eyes. They try to switch which causes dizziness but Peter is in control now with brown hair and hazel-green eyes.

Basically: when Peter is in control of the body he looks like himself. When Danny is in control, the body has black hair and blue eyes. When Danny 'goes ghost' while in control then he gets his white hair and green eyes, but the body doesn't change.

I'd like to think they have to learn each other's abilities now. danny has to learn how to not stick to things (plus he gets to try how gravity actually affects him now) and how to deal with the spider sense.

Peter has to learn basically pages worth of abilities😭. He has to learn not to go through things, turn invisible, start floating, etc. Peter can't go ghost and when Danny passes out when he is in ghost mode, it just turns off but maybe during extremely stressful situations or life and death moments, Peter can go ghost, it doesn't last very long though.

Time for some silly shenanigans:

Danny runs into Jason for whatever, maybe he was robbing him (even funnier answer, Danny was stealing Jason's bike wheels) and Jason gets him food. Next time, Peter runs into Jason and Dick while Peter was dumpster diving for, idk, tech parts. Dick and Peter are talking while Jason is staring at Peter. Internally, Peter is freaking while Danny isn't helping.

Then Jason asks if he has a twin.

Danny is losing it, just laughing as Peter has to deal with this. But Peter-blurt out the first thing in your mind-Parker says "yes, we got separated and I'm looking for him while I'm staying at my uncle's apartment".

So now Peter has to come with a whole backstory and reason why they're separated and why he won't go to the police. ("Acab bitch" Danny says and Peter repeats without question. Jason this time loses it while dick pouts and peter is horrified by what he said)

Peter and Danny making up fake identities, families, and backstory.

i think it would really be funny if Danny is the ghost prince (waiting to be crowned after his death) so the Infinite realms are up in arms about their beloved prince being missing and his last known signature/location is the dc universe. so now JLD is scrambling to find him and all the while he is just chilling in someone's head.

some fun/interesting arguments: the way they view death. peter is a very "do not kill" guy, basically his ideals align with batman (maybe. I'm not extremely knowledgeable in spiderman lore) and Danny-being a ghost/the ghost king-has different views. i think he's still a "try to save everyone" type of guy but has exceptions.

maybe they share dreams which leads to horrifying nightmares.

another fun thing: they're both inventors so they can look at a microwave and just break it apart to build something new.

Dc x Dp Prompt #17 : Didn’t I See You in the Senate?!

Feeling silly goofy rn so dc x dp crossover where Flash and Phantom both individually travel back in time and end up catching sight of each other in the senate while Caesar gets stabbed on the Ides of March and then they go back to present day and run into each other on the street and do the Spider-Man pointing meme.

DP x DC: Dash

I just realized I haven’t seen a lot of things that actually utilize Dash as a character

Like, there’s things that have a character named Dash who is in it to some degree, but I don’t think I’ve seen something that uses the character

What do I mean by that?

Look at the character of Dash in Danny Phantom, he’s an archetypal popular high school quarterback bully type. He’s the Flash Thompson to Danny’s Spider-Man. His purpose in the show is as a minor antagonistic force, not really an antagonist on his own, he sets up Danny as an underdog “unpopular” kid, and a source of comedy

But he also has a tiny dog named Pookie and fanboys hard over Phantom despite bullying Fenton, and he really likes football, has his best friend Kwan, he struggles with his grades, and dislikes feeling small and weak, something he explicitly says in an episode. There are some genuinely interesting character traits a person can use in a story

And I think that any of the few times I’ve seen him used in this crossover, besides 1 or 2 fics, you could have covered up his name and I would not have been able to tell who the character is because none of his actual character traits were used

Which I think is a shame because there is utility to having him as a character. There’s personal conflict and growth regarding him bullying/having been a bully to Danny

Plus the classic “is a bully because of internalized homophobia and has feelings for the one he bullies” it’s the entire dynamic of “swagger bishie” Dash and Danny’s ship. You could just as easily transpose that to another character

Or even just “makes things more complicated by being involved in a situation where Danny has to protect him” Imagine how tempting it would be to just let something happen to him? The conflict, the desire to just not save this one person

And of course

“Jason Todd breaking into Dash’s room and threatening to end his football career by shooting him in the kneecap, all because Dash bullied Danny”

There’s utility in using Dash’s actual character traits and I think we really undersell him as an interesting character that can add a little something to a story
