At long last, Val my gal at Full Powaaaaaa!

The initial reasoning for Val taking so long to reach her full potential came from a brainstorming sesh on the EI server with the other artists, because I had no Idea how to design the Final Form.

Everyone had their interests and quirks fitted in their outfits and designs, but Val was just in an alt version of her Huntress suit! ( ≧Д≦)

Due to poor show planning choices, canon Valerie Gray has no interests, hobby or little details to make her a well-rounded character other than a martial art expert who could kick your ass into the next week and used to be a snob/A-Lister.

Yes, that made her a blank slate to paint in any way I desired, but it was completely unfair to her!

But then @faerynova gave me the nudge I needed to think deeper into her character:

consider: valerie herself doesn't know because she painted her entire identity around being an a-lister and fitting in and then around revenge and by god does she need to sit down and figure out what she enjoys and how to enjoy things for herself

That made me think back of a past fic of mine, where Val's Grandma was from New Orleans (thus the jacket and the tignon headwrap).

AND THEN!

Valerie Gray is a Pro with her Hoverboard. It wouldn't be too much of a leap for her to start skateboarding for a challenge, since the laws of physics are more pressing with "analogic" tools instead of "cheating" with ghost-related ones.

So, Skater Girl Val! 🙌

As for Tucker, like I said in the previous post, this was his original-do, because my man deserves his past power-ups to be recognized!

And last, but not least, Jazz!

She's a teenager, she deserves to act and look like it!

Thus Ember-style makover, still retaining her science roots and interest, but not chained by them.

The first drawing I made of the Magical Girl AU were Sam and Tucker's Final Forms on my sketch pad, just for fun. But then I realized that I could use them for @ecto-implosion!

...But things escalated quickly after that. (^～^;)ゞ

A clear image of what I wanted to do popped up in my mind and then from the first duo, the Team gained members and got bigger and the concept of not being at full power took hold and then...!

@ikiracake and I worked together for this year's @ecto-implosion ! Thank you for choosing me! (ﾉΦωΦ)ﾉ

It was such an amazing experience and while at first the project seemed relatively simple, the plot inspiration bunny evolved into a fluffy hydra that will be published into three separate posts for each chapter update.

@tourettesdog's Little Baby Man took residence once again in my brain and decided he wanted to become the mascot of a team of magical girls! And, of course, Dani didn't want to be left out, so she got her own little baby form (again)!

The crystals at first were intended to be similar to a gem/crystal formation, but nothing I was dishing out satisfied me at first, so I went treasure hunting on google and inspiration hit me: since the ribbons are moth-like, why not using a cocoon-like gem as if it was a Swarovski? (Thank you @teacupsandstarlight for rubber-ducking me for those irl.)

It was Ikira's idea to make Dani's theme color lilac and I ran away with it like a chipmunk on cola, so thank you again!

Hope y'all looking forward tomorrow's update, things are gonna become... interesting...

Happy Pride Month to my favorite AroAce coded characters!

Look at me (Le 🤡)! I was almost late for Pride Month after missing my chance for the AroAce Visibility Week back in February!

Anyway! I experimented with trying to use the Asexual and Aromantic Flags as palettes for coloring my boys: each has one flag for skin tone and the other for the clothes and vice versa, that's why Senkū looks like an alien... (≧▽≦)

I'm not completely satisfied with this, but there's always room for growth, so please bear with me! 〜(￣▽￣〜)

Since yesterday was "Ratchet and Clank: Rift Apart" anniversary, inspiration hit me sideways and prompted me to do this piece!

(I wanted to work on the sequel of "Into the Nexus_Prologue", which, by the way, I'm also trying to do, but this felt easier for my writing block AND also works as a prequel for both the sequel and the aforementioned fic!)

For those of the Phandom who didn't play R&C, meet the Plumber!

He's a helpful cryptid NPC that showed up in every game (sans a couple of filler exceptions) since the first one. He usually gives useful items, information for the progress of the plot/side-quest or cryptic one liners that would be resolutive when the time is right!

He's also a repairman, an inventor and claims to have been "everywhere in this universe and beyond", so why couldn't he be visiting the Far Frozen to help the Yeti Tribe with an issue? And coincidentally in the same moment Danny would be visiting?

Right now the Plumber's giving Danny tips on how the InfiMap and the Infinite Realms work, so of course our boi is taking notes! (And if the alien is also talking about space... That's a mere coincidence, isn't it? :) )

Hopefully I'll be able to finally publish the sequel of the R&C x MiB crossover Prologue sooner or later, but before that I'm surely doing something for the Pride Month!

Day 1: Insect/Anchor

The return of Little Baby Moth! (From last year DannyMay)

Something happened since last time the two of them met, so LBMo is reasonably surprised to see Little Baby Man Mer's new form... or is this just an alternative dimension iteration of LBM (by @tourettesdog)? 🤔

Since I'm a serial procrastinator and I wanted to be sure the art pieces were at least decent/accurate, I was almost late (but thank CW that I did, because some of them had the wrong orca-pattern and I would have brought disgrace upon myself if I published anything not done right since orcas are one of my favorite animals).

Day 12: Time Travel/Seafood

My poor Mer-boy got yoinked temporalily into the past when he was still Danny (so even before the "normal" LBM-fication) and he's feeling reeeaaally distressed at the act of practically cannibalism that his past-self is committing...

Day 2+4+29: Wish/Starfish + Wander/Night + Fireworks/Bioluminescence

Wandering in the night, some interesting encounters are bound to happen...

I wonder what would happen if you wish upon a(n alien) star(fish)...

Day 19+20: Iron/Pearl + Pitch AU/Abyss

LBMer found a his rightful Crown (of Fire) sunk into the depths of the ocean!

But since it was rusty and forgotten, what better way to restore it than ghostly mother pearl?

(Works like ghostly ice, but it's an exclusive power of LBMer.)

(The Crown got bigger than canon, but he smol!)

Day 26: Shoes/Camouflage

They say that imitation is one of the best form of flattery, but when you don't want to get caught by a certain dimensional hopper (and be mistaken for one of his foes), it's the best way to blend in!

(Octopi can camouflage in ways that make you think that magic is real...)

(Little Baby Terror unfortunately got caught in the same "accident" that LBM did, so they generally prefer to stick together-ish in case they need help.)

Day 16+22: Glowing Veins/Courtship + Song Lyrics/Songs

I couldn't help myself and sneaked in some Everlasting Trio for the soul.

After all, LBM (and therefore LBMer) is still Danny, even if he has new form(s) and instincts.

They do incarnate the "Would you still love me if I was a worm?", don't they?

(It feels such a Danny song to use, plus I checked how orcas court and while there's some posturing, they also sing! It felt only natural from there... >:3c)

Day 11: Mutation/Shell(s)

And finally: the answer!

LBM found this weird shell on the beach while they were on vacation, but when he checked it (read: nibbed it), it reacted and tooted a magical cloud that mutated our Little Baby Man into a Mer!

(The same fate happened to Dani/Little Baby Menace and Dan/Little Baby Terror, changing them into a Seahorse Mer and Octopus Mer respectively.

I've got a lineart done of them for another prompt, but I didn't manage in time to clean and color it yet, along with a couple of others... ( ≧Д≦) )

This has two versions because I couldn't decide which was better. @teacupsandstarlight suggested the first because of the transforming smoke around our boi, but since I saved both, I told myself: why not upload both?

I still have some linearts to finish/digitalize/color, but at least I contributed to these two fantastic events, hope y'all enjoyed them and my works!

Day 30: Post-Reveal

And here we finally have the ending of (Dan) Little Baby Terror's Redemption Arc for DannyMay's Ghost Animal Noodle AU!

Along with @tourettesdog Little Baby Man and Little Baby Menace/Gurl (Dani), the redeemded noodle is chilling with their dad and looking at the Fenton-Nightingale history. (Dani is curled on a pillow, btw.)

I love post-reveals with good dad Jack, they are so wholesome since the man has such himbo-energy!

Day 27: Rings

First of all: TOE BEANS. (Because I decided that in the Ghost Animal Noodle AU for DannyMay they are mandatory.)

Second, I thought that our (@tourettesdog's) favorite Baby Man would be such a gremlin that he would try to use his transformation rings as hula hoops! (≧∇≦)

Simple! Today is the anniversary of the first airing of Reign Storm!

It took me a while to finish it, since, once I made the first pencil on paper lineart, I decided to take a step further:

Digital coloring! (And thus justifying the use of the challenge of day 26!)

Fright Knight is a bat, while Pariah Dark (since is the Ghost King) is a lion!

@tourettesdog 's Little Baby Man is storming Pariah's Keep to reclaim his territory/haunt Amity Park... And the Skeleton Army can do little to nothing against him!

Day 24: NASA

After their successfull redemption quest together (SPOILER: the one you'll see for DannyMay Day 20+28), Dan (AKA Little Baby Terror) gets fully adopted in the Fenton family! So, @tourettesdog's Baby Man saw fit to gift him a Nasa Rocket Pen to have something to bond over (since that part of Danny still exist in Dan).

(Dani was the one to braid his flaming hair, because I shamelessly borrowed that headcanon from @krossan (⁠≧⁠▽⁠≦⁠).)

Day 23 (+5+29): Rogue Gallery (+Bonus)

I couldn't decide on who to focus for this DannyMay prompt, so I did a bunch of the Rogues!

(And that's the reason for the delay in posting this prompt... (^～^ ;)ゞ)

Since this is part of the Ghost Animal Noodles AU (which @tourettesdog's Little Baby Man is to blame), I'm going to post both the art and the respective animal I took inspiration from (under the cut because it's a loooong post):

Skulker the Felis nigripes! The fierciest kitten, they apparently have the 60% success rate everytime they hunt!

DAY 29: Ghost Speech AU Kitty as a Wirehaired Hungarian Vizla and Johnny (and Shadow) as Cheetahs! Since every Rogue is cat (or cat-adjacent) themed, I thought that it would have been hilarious if someone called "Kitty" was a canine. (≧∇≦) (The other two's need for speed prevailing over anything else is obvious.) Of course they cannot abstain from quarreling, so Ghost Speech for everyone!

Princess Dorathea as a Norwegian Forest Cat and Desiree as an Egyptian Mau! DAY 5: 10 min VS 1 hour Nocturn as a Nue (a Japanese Yōkai, part Tiger, Monkey, Tanuki and Snake) and Undergrowth as a Gryphon! I tried to stuff as many other prompts as I could in the Rogue Gallery Day, so here I attempted this challenge. On the left, the 10 minutes drawing with more Undergrowth than Nocturn because when I noticed that the time was almost up I rushed and did a base sketch of the latter. On the right, the 1 hour drawing where I focused on Nocturn because I had in mind what I wanted them to look like so there was no time left for the other Ancient... (^～^ ;)ゞ

The Box Ghost, Luch Box and Luch Lady as Spotted Hyenas (Crocuta crocuta)! The hyenas are wonderful animals and Feliformes, so technically still cat-adjacent! Plus they have a matrialcal gerarchy that I feel fitting in BG and LL dynamic, so I loved doing this!

Youngblood as a Pallas Cat (Otocolobus manul) and Sidney Poindexter as a Sphynx Cat! Pallas Cats are so cute but also look like gremlins, so they fit very well with a ghost kid (who's in his Tarzan Phase). As for the Sphynxes, I love those beasts, but they have that kind of "loser nerd" vibes that is so Sidney that I couldn't pass the chance! ꒰(@｀꒳´)꒱

Prince Aragon as a Norwegian Forest Cat (like his sister), Walker as a Binturong/Bearcat (Arctictis binturong) and Penelope Spectra as a Fossa (Cryptoprocta ferox)! Both the last two are cat-adjacent, plus fossa look as creepy as Spectra, so they fit very well. As for the pose, since he has lost the Dragon Amulet, Aragon is kind of a twink, so just a paw to stop him would suffice, but Spectra is a slippery eel, so Walker had to bind her with his tail as well, just to be sure... (≧∇≦) (My lovely assistant @teacupsandstarlight posed irl for the captives' pose, so please thank her! (⁠ ⁠˘⁠ ⁠³⁠˘⁠)⁠~❤)
