60 Grams Warm Water (1/4 Cup)
7 Grams Dry Active Yeast (2 Teaspoons)
150 Grams All-Purpose Flour (1 Cup)
200 Grams White Granulated Sugar (1 Cup)
240 Grams Milk (1 Cup)
Bread
150 Grams All-Purpose Flour (1 Cup)
100 Grams White Granulated Sugar (1/2 Cup)
50 Grams Cocoa Powder (1/2 Cup)
2.5 Grams Baking Powder (1/2 Teaspoon)
2.5 Grams Baking Soda (1/2 Teaspoon)
3 Grams Salt (1/2 Teaspoon)
96 Grams Melted Butter or Vegetable Oil (1/2 Cup)
122 Grams Milk (1/2 Cup)
2 Grams Vanilla Extract (1/2 Teaspoon)
265 Grams Amish Friendship Starter (1 Cup)
2 Large Eggs
42 Grams Chocolate Chips (1/4 Cup)
*Note that this only uses 1 cup of starter to make 1 loaf of bread.
Additional Equipment
Ziploc Bag
Permanent Marker
Measuring Cups, Bowls, and Spoons
Two 9 X 5 Inch Bread Pans
Parchment Paper
Wire Cooling Rack
Oven Mitts
Instructions
To Make the Starter
On a Ziploc Bag write the following instructions: Day 1: Do Nothing Day 2: Mash the Bag Day 3: Mash the Bag Day 4: Mash the Bag Day 5: Mash the Bag Day 6: Add 150 Grams Flour (1 Cup), 200 Grams Sugar (1 Cup), 240 Grams Milk (1 Cup) Day 7: Mash the Bag Day 8: Mash the Bag Day 9: Mash the Bag Day 10: Pour entire bag into nonmetal bowl. Add 150 Grams Flour (1 Cup), 200 Grams Sugar (1 Cup), and 240 Grams Milk (1 Cup). Measure 260 Grams Starter (1 Cup) into 4 Ziploc bags. Give 3 bags away and keep 1 starter for yourself. With the remaining starter in the bowl, use it to make bread
In the Ziploc bag, combine the ingredients for the starter: water, yeast, flour, sugar, and milk. Mash the ingredients together until well incorporated.
Follow the rest of the instructions as written on the bag.
To Make the Bread
Preheat oven to 325° Fahrenheit (162° Celsius).
In a large mixing bowl, whisk together your dry ingredients: flour, sugar, cocoa, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
In a small mixing bowl, whisk your wet ingredients: vegetable oil, milk, vanilla extract, eggs, and starter.
Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir until just moistened. Fold in chocolate chips.
Pour batter into a lightly greased 9-inch by 5-inch bread pan.
Sprinkle a few extra chocolate chips on top.
Bake bread for 1 hour. Insert a toothpick into the center, and if it comes out clean, you’re done!
Use a butter knife to loosen the loaves from the sides of the pans, but don’t turn them out just yet! Let them cool for an hour in the pan before you turn them out onto a wire rack to finish cooling.
NOTES
This recipe also makes for great muffins! Follow the instructions for making bread, but instead of baking at 350 degrees Fahrenheit (176 degrees Celsius) for an hour, bake them for 25 to 30 minutes in a muffin tin instead.
Enjoy!

Baking traditions - Q.Hughes
Tumblr media
Summary: Noticing that you’re homesick, Quinn makes sure to include some of your autumn traditions.
The second of my Autumn & Halloween blurbs! How could I resist this slice of domestic life with Quinn?

“Babe? What’s all this?”
When you’d gotten home from work that evening, you hadn’t expected your kitchen counters to be covered with ingredients.
Your boyfriend just smiled a little sheepishly, but shrugged innocently.
“I wanted to surprise you,” Quinn said simply.
“When congratulations, I’m surprised,” you mused.
Quinn just laughed, cheeks a little pink with blush as he leaned down to kiss you in greeting.
“Hey,” he murmured.
“Hey yourself,” you murmured back.
He smiled sweetly, pecking your lips in another kiss before standing upright again.
“I know you’ve been missing home…”
Well that was blunt. Quinn wasn’t wrong though. You’d moved to Vancouver to live with Quinn and take your relationship to the next level only six months ago – and while everything had been fairytale-levels of amazing, that didn’t mean there weren’t stumbling blocks. Like your homesickness, that you’d thought you’d done a good job of hiding.
“…and I just wanted to do something to cheer you up. I called your mom, and she said that you love baking in the Autumn, like all the spices and stuff are your favourite, so I thought maybe we could bake together?”
His voice trailed off in a hopeful embarrassment, but it was all you could do not to cry. This man. How were you gifted a man like this? Quinn noticed the tears in your eyes and immediately groaned.
“You hate it. This is making your homesickness even worse. I’m so dumb, I’m sorry, I-”
“Quinn, no, you’re not dumb at all. You’re the sweetest man ever. I love this idea,” you interrupted, laughing a little watery with a big smile.
The relief that spread across his face was immediate and dramatic.
“Really?” he asked.
“Really really,” you nodded, “What are we making?”
“I thought we’d try something easy? Chocolate chip pumpkin banana bread?” he said, “I found a recipe online that looked okay and I double checked with your mom too.”
So sweet.
“That sounds amazing, Quinn. Are we baking now?”
“It takes an hour to bake in the oven so I figured we could order take out now and eat dinner while we wait for the banana bread to cook?” he suggested.
Your man with a plan.
“That sounds great to me, baby, thank you. I’ll get changed out of my work clothes and we can start?”
“I’ll order dinner while you get changed,” he added, smiling.
In no time at all you were back in the kitchen in comfy sweats and an old t-shirt, take-out order being processed, while Quinn scrolled through his ipad for the recipe he saved.
“Okay, so first off, we’ve got to mash all these bananas. Shall I do that while you measure out the dry ingredients?”
You nodded, smiling up at him as you reached for a mixing bowl he’d already put on the kitchen counter. You whisked together the flour, pumpkin pie spice, cinnamon, dark chocolate chips, baking soda, baking powder & salt, and after mashing the bananas, in a separate mixing bowl Quinn whisked together the oil, sugars, eggs & vanilla extract until no lumps remained.
“That’s lump free, right?” he frowned, peering down into his bowl.
You glanced over and nodded. “Yeah that looks great baby.”
Quinn beamed back at you.
“Now we’ve just to combine the bananas into my bowl with a cup of pumpkin puree, before carefully stirring your dry ingredients mix into my bowl too,” he explained.
Somehow the two of you managed all of that without making too much mess.
“Last step is pouring it into the lined loaf cake tin and baking it for an hour. I already pre-heated the oven so we should be good to go?”
After you’d combined all the ingredients, Quinn’s face was as serious as you’d ever seen it as he carefully carried the loaf tin over to your oven, and you tried to hide your smile as you opened the oven for him.
He really cared, didn’t he? He cared so much.
“I’ll set a timer for an hour. I don’t want it to get burnt,” he frowned.
“It’s going to be amazing, I already know,” you said softly, resting a hand on his chest.
His frown softened to a sweet smile. “I just want this to be good for you.”
“The fact that we did this together is what made this good for me. The cake itself is an added bonus,” you said, smiling up at him.
A light blush spread across his cheeks and he nodded, sliding his arms around your waist to hold you closer to him.
“As long as you’re happy, I’m happy,” he said warmly.
“With you, how can I not be?”

Was it worth it?
It hurt so goddamn bad. Your midsection was bloated beyond belief, bigger than you had ever seen it. You had been eating nonstop for weeks, with the amount of food nearly doubling every few days. You don’t even know why your doing it. You felt gross, you were constantly uncomfortable, and you had quickly shot from thin all the way to being nearly obese in 2 months. Your belly now sat on your lap at all times, either lightly drooping onto your thighs when you weren’t bloated, or jutting out nearly to your knees when you were completely full. There was no in between.
Every day you just become more and more ravenous, no longer eating for the taste, but instead the feeling of being so packed full. You craved it so bad, leading to where you are now.
You started the day with a full tray of cinnamon rolls, a full pack of bacon, a slab of hash browns bigger than a dinner plate, and a gallon of orange juice. You ate with a deep desire, pushing yourself as if this was your only source of pleasure. It only took you 30 minutes to finish everything. By 10am, you were already packed completely full and could barely move. Of course, this wasn’t enough, and all you could think about was lunch. Sitting on the couch rubbing your swollen gut, you ate non stop, shoveling handfuls of chips, cookies, and whatever else you could find into your poor tummy, keeping it constantly drum tight. Then came lunch. A countless number of burgers, a mountain of fries, and a few large milkshakes poured together into a huge bowl. You once again ate with ferocity. Everything was drenched in the milkshake before eating like the most decedent dipping sauce imaginable. You alternate between eating the burgers in just a few massive bites and shoveling the French fries down your gullet as fast and hard as possible. With every new bite your tummy would stretch further and further, so much tighter than ever before. Milkshake covered your hands and cheeks, but you didn’t care. Finally all the food was gone, leaving you a gurgling, beached whale. But you weren’t done. Grabbing the bowl with both hands, you lift it to your lips and begin to chug the milkshake. At this point it was barely even cold, had bits of burgers and fries floating inside, and had a thin film of burger grease on top. This however didn’t stop you. You drank and drank, milkshake running down your chin and onto your blimp sized belly. Finally, with a massive belch, it was all gone. For a moment, you say in complete euphoria, then you felt everything get heavy. Your body could barely even move. Then everything went black.
3 hours later, you awoke from your food coma. Stretching, you notice how empty you now feel. Reaching down to grab your belly, you realize that it’s not packed so full that it could rupture. The feeling you now had was one of anguish. You had to be full again. Grabbing your phone, you immediately dialed the number for your local pizza place. You order 6 large pepperoni pies with extra cheese. The teenager taking your order giggles and asks if it’s for a party. You don’t respond. For the next 30 minutes until the pizzas arrived, you stuffed your face once again with whatever you could find in the pantry. All the chips and cookies were gone. Now you were forced to go to extremes. Containers of bread crumbs, bottles of chocolate syrup, whole packs of tortillas. Everything in sight disappeared into your gullet, but it wasn’t enough. Finally, the pizza arrived. Your waddled to the door as fast as you could. You didn’t care that you were nearly naked and covered in dried milkshake. You just grabbed the pizzas and slammed the door without even looking at the delivery boy. Waddling to the couch, you sat the pizzas on your coffee table, and plopped down on the couch. Immediately you opened the first box and began to eat. The first pie was gone in just minutes. You inhaled slice after slice like a black hole with barely any time to breathe between slices. By the time two of the pizzas were gone, your belly was already a taught gurgling ball, but you needed more. You ate the third pizza like a burrito, folding it over itself into a massive cylinder. Leaning back, you grabbed the pizzarito with both hands, tilted your head back, and just let gravity do the work, using your mouth like a trash compactor to destroy the pizza. It was amazing to see your belly jolt outward with every bite, only becoming tighter and heavier. The bliss of knowing that every morsel of food was adding pound after pound to your brain overpowered any feelings of pain or discomfort. Your belly was easily 20 pounds heavier than when you started. It rested heavy on your thighs, and made your back hurt from the sheer weight. This however didn’t stop you, grabbing for another box of pizza with a loud groan and a burp. Pizza after pizza, all shoveled down your belly. Grease covered everything from your lips to your fingers to your belly. You were so round. The long deep stretch marks on your belly were now itchy and red, and your belly had taken on a pinkish hue from being stretched so tight. Each mouthful became harder and harder to swallow, but it was so fucking hot.
An unknowable amount of time passed, until finally you were done. Ever bit of pizza, even the crumbs left at the bottom of the box, were now filling your gut. You were in absolute bliss. Knowing that you would be unable to move for at least 12 hours, and that at least 10 fresh pounds would be added to your body was enough to make you cum. For hours you masturbated, feeling your globe belly bounce with every move. To you, this was the perfect life, and from this moment on you knew that every action you took would be to enhance this feeling.
So in the end, I guess it really was worth it.
