genuinely, I think the phrase “we’re living in the worst timeline” has become a bit a trigger for me

because like. yeah. A lot of people already know we’re living through very shitty times, I don’t think we need the idea that things can only ever get worst and don’t ever have the capacity to get better because of the timeline we live in. They do. But we’re not going to even get close to getting things back on track if you immediately fall into being a doomer.

Hey, ich habe nach der Wahl ein paar Gedanken und Fragen, die ich bei dir loswerden möchte. Von deinen Posts habe ich den Eindruck, dass du dich auskennst (zumindest besser als ich ...). Du kannst das hier gern ignorieren, wenn du keine Lust drauf hast.

Also, ich denke, dass Leute auf jeden Fall dran bleiben müssen, zu wählen. Bei jeder noch so kleinen Wahl (Gemeinderat, Stadtverordnetenversammlung und was es nicht alles so gibt). Dass man die (mehr oder weniger) linke Opposition halt dadurch iwie stärken muss, dass sie in der Fläche vertreten ist, und sich da eine Wende abzeichnet.

Ich kann niemandem sagen wie man wählen sollte, aber ich fürchte, dass sich in Ecken, wo es bei manchen kleinen Wahlen leider nur die Wahl zwischen Pest und Cholera gibt, auch nichts verbessert, wenn man nicht wählt. Vielleicht sorgt eine steigende Wahlbeteiligung und Stimmen für CDU statt AfD langfristig dafür, dass sich wieder Kandidaten für andere Parteien finden und aufstellen lassen...?

Vielleicht ist das sehr naiv. Und es kommt halt auch von jemandem, der dieses Problem derzeit nicht hat. Aber nicht zu wählen führt ja tatsächlich nur dazu, dass die AfD unwidersprochen gewinnt.

Vorneweg: Ich bin auch kein Experte. Nur aus Versehen ein bisschen zu viel informiert. (Ist Nebeneffekt des trans seins.)

Du hast absolut recht: Der Kampf gegen Rechts hört jetzt nicht plötzlich auf. Wählen gehen ist und bleibt auf jeder Ebene das wichtigste Mittel. Besonders bei kleineren Wahlen gilt oft Desinteresse, also geht keiner wählen. Außer Rentner und Wutbürger. Also CDU und AfD. Wenns eh nur die beiden gibt, kann sich - theoretisch - jede*r Bürger*in über 18 einer anderen Partei anschließen und aufstellen lassen. Sei die Veränderung, die du in der Welt sehen willst etc etc. Dass das nicht für alle realistisch ist, ist aber klar. Trotzdem kann man einer Partei beitreten, um von innen zu helfen, oder einfach von außen mal ein bisschen Druck machen. Parteien, die den Arsch hochkriegen, kriegen auch mehr Stimmen.

Wichtig ist auch, dass wir jetzt nicht nachlassen. Die Linke hat einen irren Aufwärtstrend zur Wahl hingelegt. Den müssen wir fortsetzen, denn einen neuen starten ist deutlich schwieriger. Nach der Wahl ist vor der Wahl: Demonstrieren gehen, Abgeordnete anschreiben, vor Ort aktiv werden (entweder als Teil einer Partei oder allgemein), das gleiche Programm. Auch Abgeordnete deiner bevorzugten Partei kannst du anschreiben: Sowohl mit Lob als auch Kritik. Wir sind keine Milliardäre also haben wir keine Lobbyisten. Aber wir können unsere Meinungen trotzdem an Politiker herantragen, und hier zählt dann Menge statt Kohle: Auch wenn die nicht alle Nachrichten lesen, kriegen die trotzdem einen groben Überblick wer was wie stark verlangt. Das kann dann auch als Argumentierhilfe dienen, im Sinne von "Mich erreichen regelmäßig Bitten unserer Bürger zum Thema x. Allein diese Woche habe ich 69 Briefe dazu erhalten. Offensichtlich ist das ein wichtiges Thema in unserer Gesellschaft und wir sollten das besprechen."

Wie so oft ist dein persönlicher Einfluss größer, je kleiner das System ist. In einem Kaff mit 10 Leuten wärst du 10% der Wählerschaft. Da wird der Gemeinderat schon aufpassen. Deswegen ist wichtig, dass viele Menschen mitmachen. Sprich deine Freunde an, ob die nicht was ähnliches schicken wollen.

Es muss auch nicht immer direkt an Heinz-Holger aus deinem Wahlkreis gehen. Tatsächlich haben wir viel mehr Möglichkeiten, an der Politik teilzunehmen, als vielen bewusst ist. Wusstest du zum Beispiel, dass jeder eine Petition (nicht die Sorte mit Unterschriften) direkt an den Bundestag richten kann? Diese muss dann von Abgeordneten bearbeitet werden und die zugehörige Entscheidung muss begründet werden. Das lässt sich alles online erledigen und einsehen. (Ich persönlich empfehle allerdings von den Diskussionsforen fernzubleiben. Rentner und Wutbürger halt.)

Ich werde mich optimistisch halten (ist besser für die Gesundheit) und hoffen, dass die stärkere Linke uns doch ein Stück weiter bringt, und der plötzliche Aufschwung für viele motivierend wird.

Und ich kann zum Spaß trotzdem Merz 4 Jahre lang mit meiner linksgrün-versifften Lebensweise auf den Sack gehen.

Doomers are extremely social. Normally, they stay in groups consisting of Doomers with the same elemental powers, but if they have some other element, they are thrown out of the group. Even if they find another flock, they don't allow outsiders. This is because outcast Doomers are more often unable to get enough energy on their own, and therefore are weaker.

The mama Doomer and baby Doomer featured in this are outcast Doomers, and they happened to come across Magolor. They started following him because they were interested in what such a small and strange thing was doing near their home, and eventually just grew protective over him.

I'm naming the baby Doomer Snowbowl because of the super ability, its an ice Doomer, and its favorite way of greeting Magolor is ramming into him.

I'm so fucking cooked. I'm currently studying to get an associates degree in natural sciences. I'm on my second year and I'm planning to finish my degree this year bc I already switched my degree once and it turned a 2 year collage into a 3 year collage. BUT now that Trump has won I don't know what I can do with my associates degree. He will end all goverment regulations, policies and agencies that have to do with the enviroment or biology. Without regulations private companies won't have any reason to hire someone with a natural sciences degree. I don't know if I can get a bachelor's degree or even a different associate's degree since trump will definitely be cutting student aid. I'm 20 and still live with my parents now I don't know if i'll ever be able to afford to move out. That's not even getting into the fact I'm a woman with multiple physical disabilities.

I understand the pain of having a fascist elected (modi for anyone who's curious) but the connections and community you build will always be stronger than those in power. It's gonna be shit, but it'll get better if you keep trying. So take a break, eat something you like and go hang out with your friends or family, have a nice conversation, irl or online and get some sleep. Help others and ask for help, there's always gonna be atleast one person willing to help you out. And try to be that one person for someone else. You can find people you can rely on even in the most right wing populated places, so don't lose hope and don't try to go through this alone

After reading Nightwing #127 I can tell you one thing already, if Dick ends up adopting Bryce I will quit reading Nightwing. Adopting a child while he is with Babs means they will never break up. At least for the next 30 years. I don’t mind Dick's other love interests but I’ve always despised DickBabs. Them having a child together or getting married would be an absolute reason to quit reading his comics. I can’t endure DickBabs for another 30 years.

I trust Watters to not go the adoption route. It feels to me like too similar to Bruce for a character they are regularly trying to say is different. This issue was uhh, something? Not sure how I feel about it to be quite honest, and I spent most of it absolutely irritated at the current villain (and the inclusion of nitemite a taylor creation), which is a good thing I suppose, if I can't stand her this much she must be a decent bad guy.

If I had to guess, Bryce is going to get in a lot of danger next issue, and it's going to be more of wake up call to both of them.
