Last time one of you recommended me a Taylor Swift song to listen to it was My Tears Ricochet and I thought about Claudia for a week. So at least SOME of you are Swifties. So why didn't ANYONE tell me that Daylight would make me run across the room and grab Louis, lost in memories of the moment when I saw him again after a hundred years, fully illuminated by the false daylight of electric lighting?
Why does this woman DO this to you?

Sorry no Morrowind art this weekend because I've been playing the MHWilds open beta and auggghh my brain is so focused on it. My PC almost died but I somehow managed to get it to look decent and ohhhh my god. It's sooo good. I can't wait for the full release.
Already got emotionally attached to the Seikret so I made a few drawings with it and also Nora because I love her.
Thinking intensely about the fact that she would definitely put its feathers in her hair so that they match...

Veilguard doesn't feel like a Dragon Age game for a multitude of reasons:
It doesn't allow you to butt heads with your companions over *anything*. It doesn't allow you to even converse with your companions outside of scripted scenes — you can't just approach them and open a dialogue wheel until they want to talk to Rook; you'll just get one-liners Rook can't respond to and passive NPC-exclusive interactions that Rook happens to overhear.
It doesn't allow you to ask about/discuss the world, culture, organizations, or its history (i.e. any previous installments, or your character's selected backstory). It never references any game outside of Inquisition, and barely references Inquisition despite being a direct sequel to it. None of your previous games decisions are imported or considered. There isn't even a proper "canon" they present, the past is just a void.
There's no small side stories, barely any ambient/passing npc talk, nor many side quests, (let alone complex or fulfilling ones just filler for large scale plot), there are companion Loyalty Quests that all converge to the main story that ends in a Suicide Mission.
Veilguard doesn't feel like a Dragon Age game, because it plays like a Mass Effect game.

Everything about these moments makes me sob.
For this little kid, who’s not only non-verbal but also has broken horns, to come up to Fizz and communicate how much they love and look up to him and how much Fizz inspires them, it’s a reminder of why Fizz loves performing. It’s about the audience. All of the different types of people in the audience. Impacting them and giving them an experience they’ll never forget.
Fizz used to be that audience. He was that little kid who was inspired to pursue performing and now he gets to inspire kids too. And he especially gets to inspire those kids who are just like him.
He might’ve been a teenager when he was injured, but that doesn’t change the impact Fizz has on people as a disabled person who is still able to live his life how he wants it.
Like he said last episode, he’s not broken. He has his prosthetic limbs, he has Ozzie, someone who loves him, and a thriving career.
So having this little kid with a disability and the same broken horns as Fizz, it truly shows how impactful Fizz as a disabled performer is.
This kid is inspired that someone who has a disability like them is able to live out their dream. Fizz is a reminder that they too can achieve their dream of performing no matter what.
And the fact Fizz was able to communicate with this little kid, you can see that meant everything. The way their eyes light up each time Fizz responds is truly incredible.
Fizz is able to be the role model for this kid that Mammon should’ve been for him.
Not to mention that Fizz’s own broken horns aren’t known to the public, this little kid doesn’t know Fizz also looks like them in this regard, Fizz hides his horns under his jester hat so he looks “perfect”, but this kid’s broken horns are out and proud. This kid is not ashamed, and Fizz shouldn’t be either.
This is part of who they are and we see Fizz embrace every part of himself during his final performance when he rips apart his clothes to show off his prosthetic arms and scarred body.
And that thank you to this kid that Fizz gives them, it’s not only a thank you for being part of the audience, it’s a thank you for reminding him why he loves performing and that they inspired him too.
Fizz sees himself in this little kid just as this little kid sees themself in Fizz and I think that’s beautiful.

90% of my personality atp is the score for falsettos because I have never in my life heard such intense emotions portrayed in just instrumental alone, let alone the fucking melodies and harmonies on top of that

Some thoughts while I'm watching Nerdy Prudes Must Die for the first time:
After the Big Game, something that's been itching my brain for a while came back- Clivesdale. Hatchet Town is reinforcing this, but since Black Friday and Honey Queen the Clivesdale hate has really started to stand out to me. Yes it's a funny gag, but the Hatchetfield disdain for Clivesdale is straight-up cultish. Laura Cunningham (I think was her name?) had lived in Hatchetfield for 15 years, but was entirely excommunicated when it came out that she was from Clivesdale. Keep in mind, she was well-liked enough to be a Honey Queen candidate. Two teenagers are brutally murdered and everyone is more focused on the loss against the Chemists. Even people who hate Hatchetfield like Emma and Ziggy hate Clivesdale more. The general population of Hatchetfield is so feverish. I know that the Wiggly doll riots happened all over the world, but holy SHIT it didn't take any time at all for Hatchetfield to totally cave in on itself!
Here's the other thing that gets me- has anyone ever really left Hatchetfield? Anyone who wanted to?
•Emma Perkins has exactly one life goal- not to die in Hatchetfield. Her entire life had been, up until Jane's death, about getting away from Hatchetfield. She is officially pronounced dead after the explosion at Starlight Theatre, though she survived in Clivesdale Hospital. She only lived for a couple weeks after "dying" in Hatchetfield. She also dies almost immediately after returning to her hometown in the events of Forever and Always. She does not die after the fire at her weed farm, but she is arrested and presumably imprisoned in Hatchetfield.
•Frank Pricely is imprisoned by Sherman Young after his attempted escape.
•Alice Woodward dies in The Guy Who Didn't Like Musicals before she can leave for college. In fact, she dies after skipping the bus to Clivesdale
•Lex and Hannah Foster (along with Ethan Greene) have plans to escape Hatchetfield and head to California. All of them die before they can even get past Nantucket bridge.
•Zoey Chambers wants to win Honey Queen for the funds to get out of Hatchetfield. In both Honey Queen and The Guy Who Didn't Like Musicals she dies before she has the chance to leave.
•Jonathan Brisby attempts to retrieve Lucy Stockworth from Hatchetfield. Brisby dies in the woods, Lucy disappears in the same woods with the Woolyfoot.
•Jenny and Andy planned to move to Clivesdale, but Jenny dies before she can leave, and by the time Andy becomes Andrew Killgore he's back at CCRP in Hatchetfield. Obviously this is wobbly because of timeline shenanigans, but it's implied that Ted didn't actually cross timelines during the events of Time Bastard, just fucked around in his own a lot.
There's just something. There's something about Hatchetfield. It's like a black hole. If it wants you there, and it does, you always end up there, and it's not likely you'll leave a second time.
Something about the ambient affects of the town absolutely fascinates me, I've been thinking about this stuff for like 5 years and it's not gotten old to me yet

Frothing at the mouth (read; relistening to falsettos) and love is blind is SUCH a song man.
The chorus being “Love is blind, love can tell a million stories, love’s unkind, spiteful in a million ways” compared to Marvin’s verse of “Love is crazy, love is often boring, love stinks, love is often debris, when you find what you find, the. Never never never never never do it over again.// love reads like a bad biography all the names are changed to protect the innocent”
Like good golly gosh that’s the most ironic part of the musical series. Like yes Marvin acknowledging his love life is shit (but not yet taking accountability for his shortcomings) and how little he really values love, how petty and mean love is to him. And in the first act that’s very clear but when we get into a day in falsetto land/act 2 despite his redemption and everything, love is still cruel to him even if it isn’t a self fulfilling prophecy this time. And it hurts.
And in a similar vein Whizzer plays fast and loose with his love and it’s when he’s finally sort of settling back in with Marvin his desires change, or at least come to light, “nothing is everything to me, except sex. And money.” (The chess game) v “all the stupid things I dream about” (you gotta die sometime). It goes from wanting basically a sugar daddy to wanting a proper lover and in the end having that leads to his end.
Love is blind in falsettos. Love does tell a million like 8 stories in falsettos. But is also unkind and spiteful in a million ways in falsettos.

Lestat, tell us what music you're listening to and if it's cheering sad boi up?
Would you call me basic if I said I've been listening to Taylor Swift?
I know, I know, it hurts my reputation as a rock star, doesn't it? Taylor Swift is a lot of things, but cool, she's not. Doesn't do much for the James Bond of Vampires image, does it? I'm sure you all imagine me careening down the street on that motor cycle I described in my novels, and it's never the dulcet sounds of "Speak Now" emitting from my head phones.
But honestly, I like her. I think she's a wonderful lyracist, and she has the ability to tap into this tiny little scenarios, micro emotions, if you will, and put it to words what that moment FEELS like. And since seeing the Eras tour and watching her perform, I must grudgingly add her to my list of bona fide Rock Stars, and maybe one of the last ones. She's not without her problems and her controversies, sure, but I must admit, I enjoy her music.
But yes, I've been listening to Lover lately, and Folklore, and Tortured Poets Department . I particularly like the last one. Louis accuses me of being pretentious. Guilty.
I like Cornelia Street. I KNOW that feeling. After .... everything....it took my years to walk down our section of Rue Royal.
Anyway, is it cheering Louis up? I hope so. He's doing a little better. Apparently some of you messaged him? You don't know what blessings you are to him sometimes. He calls you his babies.
I'll take good care of him for you, don't worry.
Also, we're planning on watching the Show sometime tonight or tomorrow. Hopefully I won't break any furniture this time.

Thinking about season 4 and Vecna and how it makes no sense. I'm just baffled thinkin' about it and wanna vent a lil.
Why did he make it a ritual? He didn't have to do that. There was no reason he had to torment people with visions for a week other than... what? so we can see he enjoys tormenting others? We got that message when we learned he wanted to murder his entire family for no reason.
Stranger Things is sci-fi for its genre, not fantasy. He wasn't like, actually casting a spell that he needed to follow an exact ritual for to make it happen, or even having a fear that deviating would make the spell go wrong. Because it's not a spell.... that could... go wrong. It's just Vecna being a wierdo.
When taking Max didn't work in the graveyard, why didn't he immediately take Patrick to keep his timeline? Why did he wait? And on that vain, why was it important to know when Eddie's watched died to see when Vecna takes vistims because... he tried to take Max at a different time then the others. It was board daylight in the middle of a cemetery. Why that deviation? What was the point of a schedule he was willing to break but only for Max?
Also, they gave us that scene of Vecna like... reading everyone's minds all rapid-like to show how easy all this was for Vecna. How did he not know about them coming to try and kill him? and if he did know, why didn't he just... do it an hour sooner so he'd be done before they ever got to him? Why not send all the demobats while they were using power tools to fortify the trailer?
It's silly to think Vecna wouldn't spy on them again after he gave Nancy that message. That he wouldn't be using them to try and find Eleven. Dude hass got So Much Free Time. The cursing takes like, what, 20 minutes outta his day??? What's he doing with the rest of his 23 hours and 40 minutes?
Vecna was a shit villain who could have been terrifying, and the show falls flat on that.
Imagine how much for horrifying it would be to try and make a plan you can't actually plan because the enemy will know what you've planned if you actually plan it? Imagine the stress added if everyone is trying to constantly think of other things so Vecna can't gleam any information for them.

Yippee!! I'm done! Now I can finally say I've made Mesmerizer fanart! 👍♥ Time lapse (and mild rambling) under the cut.
You know, out of all the Mesmerizer fanart I've seen, I don't think I saw a lot of people drawing the thumbs up-heart meme, which surprises me. xD I feel like these two are perfect for that idea. I've had this idea for like maybe 2 months now, so I'm glad I could finally draw it. c:
Tumblr media
The date is one day off (it was actually 9/13 but I didn't realize; my schedule is wack so my bad lmao) and it's not like it took me 10 days to make this or anything. The total time elapsed is probably closer to 8-15 hours or something. An hour or two spent on the traditional drawing I think and the rest of it is lining them over and over again until I'm satisfied. I really like neat lineart and last time I skipped a stage, so this time I wanted to push through lol.
The nice thing about Mesmerizer is it's that flat color look that I like, so I can just focus on the lineart and making things neat. Which is great because if I had to shade/color properly, this would take 2x as long. 😂😂😂😂 (is an impatient person)
Anyway, I'm not gonna yap each time I make a drawing or anything. xD I just wanted to 'cuz I cooked. I cooked and delivered!!!! Hooorayyy !! Right now I wanna make meme drawings, so I will be drawing these two (Mesmerizer version) again. Like, three more times. Idk if in succession 😂
Just like last time, you can use my art as long as you credit me and you don't use it to train AI and don't do weird things with it like repost it and pretend it's yours. Thanks! :D
