“No one is saying gender is a choice”
https://www.tumblr.com/genderkoolaid/752910129568055297/we-should-start-having-the-gender-talk-with-our
They quite literally are. Though. As well as identities, treating as them as if they’re just toppings you pick and choose rather than descriptors that have minimal criteria. Calling yourself ftm because you “like the label” and being ftm bc you have sex dysphoria and wish to/try to/are transitioning to a more male body are two incredibly different things, you don’t “choose your gender” you simply are a gender, and the “progressive trans people” (ie people co-opting this for whatever reason, to feel special mainly) pushing this idea are fucking over actual trans people to a fucking giant degree.
dude im going to be so honest with you, youve been in and out of my inbox for three days and it's kind of weird that you keep refreshing my blog to send me asks about this still. that is NOT what the post you linked is talking about and you need to work on your reading comprehension. that post is talking about how we should make it EASIER FOR KIDS TO COME OUT AS TRANS because gender identity is fluid and is something that they can change, which a transphobic society tells them is impossible. fuck, dude.
literally nobody is saying that being trans is a choice. but fucking honestly man, even if it was, why do you care? it doesnt affect you. i mean this in the nicest way possible but if someone does/doesnt experience dysphoria, how they identify, what their personal feelings are on THEIR presentation and their gender? that's just none of your business! and you don't get to go around demanding to know every little bit of someones traumatic experience- or lack there of- to decide if they're 'trans enough' or not.
nobody is pretending to be trans to feel special dude. thats right wing propaganda bullshit that you've fallen for. you just dont know their life and you are not the fucking authority on it. your experience will never ever be 1:1 with someone else and you can't decide that yours is the superior one to have. you don't get to decide that someone isn't trans just because their identity doesn't make sense to you. fucking grow up.
someone else's joy is not obliterating yours. it's not a random trans person on the internet's fault that you have dysphoria. stop blaming other people for your problems when they're struggling just as much as you. you aren't entitled to the details. move on with your life and MAKE YOURSELF HAPPY instead of trying to make OTHERS just as miserable as you are, because no matter how much complaining you do, someone isn't going to just STOP being multigender or STOP being a trans man and a woman or STOP being nonbinary just because YOU DECIDED it wasn't real and they were 'faking for attention'
honestly. we're all just trying to pay our fucking bills. it doesn't fucking matter to the people trying to murder us if you're a binary trans man good perfect ideal tranny who passes 100% or a multigender fagdyke they/its 'pick-me attention seeker' - THERE ARE NO GOOD QUEERS IN THEIR EYES, AND THEY WANT US DEAD. i think that takes priority.
just mind your fucking business and you'll find yourself a lot fucking happier. good lord.

Darling dear,
Is it truly homophobia if the offender is also, in fact, of the queer variety? What a glorious topic to explore. But alas, I do not wish to delve into the specifics.
And you have once again showed a lack of reading comprehension, dove. Wishing to be an English major does not mean I am once. I am simply as annoying as they are. Although I am happy to know this fact does not narrow down your metaphorical "list" of "suspects" for this outrageous crime.
I've seen your other responses. They got to you before me. It is true, I could be anyone, Dear. Is that not simply extravagant? I believe it to be so.
Forever and quetly watching over you from the rooftops,
An One Mouth
that is a TERRIFYING SIGN OFF
also dont blame me for my reading comprehension i was at a party ok :( im trying my best
also pls tell me who you are <3333

I had a gut reaction to your fucking idiotic incest take and so I went to your blog to see what prompted it, saw you rebutting some people and demanding they acknowledge the context, checked the context and still see you as being a fucking moron.
There is clearly something deeply fucked up about you, some undiagnosed illness or best case scenario, a deep misunderstanding about human sexuality for you to believe incestuous desires and catching feelings for friends come from the same place.
Society places a higher value on romantic-sexual relationships than on friendships, no one in the world would deny that. You blame allos for holding a toxic belief that society pushes on them at every level to encourage reproductive relationships to generate new workers because it victimises asexual aromantics, completely understandable. This constant quest to find 'the one' can lead people to ruining their relationships with friends because they believe the connection they feel with someone can translate into soulmate status.
THIS IS NOT THE FUCKING SAME AS INCEST. Every single society in the world has a taboo against incest, and zero have a "friend taboo". This is understandable, as the effects of inbreeding are well known, and under patriarchy all romantic relationships are expected to eventually become sexual and reproductive. The psychology that goes into avoiding relationships with close friends is that they might feel awkward and leave you. THE PSYCHOLOGY THAT GOES INTO AVOIDING INCEST IS A PRIMAL DESIRE FELT BY EVEN NON HUMAN ANIMALS. I feel like surely you must know this. Which makes me feel like maybe you actually think all people secretly want to commit incest. THEY DO NOT.
If I got it wrong and that isn't what you meant or whatever I don't particularly care. You have so many people clowning on you and zero agreeing with you so you ought to stop it with the "tumblr has bad reading comprehension" shit. If we dont telepathically know what it is you meant by your idiot take then its your fault for not phrasing it better. But far as I can tell any phrasing of your bullshit would have got the same reaction because you're fucking wrong and stupid and you're just doubling down because it's easier for you.
Oh okay so I only have one hater in my asks and this is the third time this person has sent me something.
I guess you're mad that I said you lack reading comprehension. Well I'm here to say you still suck at reading. Because I never actually demanded people look at the context. I explained the context for you. Which means you made that up on your own. Incredible.
The rest of this is mostly nonsense but I wanted to reiterate that you didn't read my responses to your asks because you still put an arbitrary take I never had onto me. And then you said something incorrect about a primal desire to avoid incest. Lmfao tell that to my dad dummy

im not an anti
i never said thats what it meant, so clearly you lack reading comprehension
i literally see proshippers boasting about how much they make people uncomfortable and how problematic they and the things they like are almost every time i encounter them
idk who "yall" is but being anti cringe culture means we should stop bullying people for having harmless interests not that we should be chill with ppl who love making others uncomfortable
in no way is my post harassment, nor is it advocating for banning people from the internet, so either youre blaming me for something people who ARENT ME are doing, or you dont know what harassment is, and judging by the fact that you already demonstrated poor reading comprehension im gonna assume its a bit of both.
you reblogging a post tagged "proship dni" as a proshipper and going as far to tag it "proship pls interact" is legitimately fucking sickening lmao arent you the lot that claims that ur label just means "anti harassment"? and yet ur literally tryna sic ppl on me with that tag
whatever your stance on proship/antiship/whatever i think we should all agree centering your personality around how “problematic” you are and how you make everyone around you uncomfortable and/or upset like a lot of proshippers do is really fucking insufferable and childish.

Every time I see someone call Inej an assassin part of my soul dies a little
#besties that isn't her job! its just factually incorrect to call her that!#i don't remember seeing it happen before sab which for some fucking reason repeatedly calls her one when. again. its just not correct. so#im choosing to blame sab and a general lack of reading comprehension#like i get that if you call her a spider ppl who haven't seen the show wont know what you mean but the word spy is literally right there#and its much closer to the truth but i guess that wasnt girl boss knife wife enough for them#it does get really funny when they use the assassin label even though she hasnt killed anyone by the time the show is happening so she just#seems kind of incompetent (like most of the crows do tbh). like if you have a moral opposition against killing ppl and you've never taken a#like you mislabeled her character even in your own universe#anyways we dont need to rehash all the reasons its a bad show#one of these days im gonna do some internet sleuthing and try to figure out what was in her wiki entry before the show was announced to see#if it called her that bc if it did then we can prove these dummies didn't read the book and just skimmed the internet#before anyone nitpicks me idk if they actually call her an assasin in the show itself but they called her one in all the promo materials#inej ghafa#shadow and bone#anti shadow and bone#*people who haven't read the book. not seen the show

#now that this has all blown over let me rephrase what ive been saying for my fellow reading impaired folks#the ones who lack comprehension skills bc i get it i do too#my post (dated two days before) was about cisgender people those who identify with the gender given at birth#there is a big trend in this fandom where just because they arent straight they feel as if they are activists#and its not just cis people everyone feels like they have to lead conversations about race sexuality gender class ableism neurodivergency#and half of the time they arent a part of the groups they're discussing!#so there should not be a reason for you white person to talk about racism in the fandom or racial insensitivity from the boys you cant#or for you person with anxiety and depression.. you cant talk about or imply nuerodivergencies that you have no experience with#same goes for neurodevelopmental conditions#and cis people should not be talking about gender identity (as i said) you all fundamentally think that expression and identity are always#linked and that is not the case majority of the time#trans people are different because they see this from their own lived experiences! which also means they can disagree with you#your proximity to transness as a cis person doesnt mean anything because you ! are ! not ! trans !#and they were the people making these wildly out of turn posts.. to imply you have receipts.. to get defensive when people tell you to stop#this is why i made that post because its not a one time this for this album.. ive seen my trans friends be deliberately misgendered#cis people have tried to invalidate my issues with them because they know a genderfluid person this is reoccuring#ive had my life threatened on this hellsite before idc but making two posts about me.. saying im transphobic for telling people to stop#telling people that you're going to harm them at a concert? threatening revenge porn?#placing blame on another trans person to make them looks bad?#there is something seriously wrong with some of you people you dont need to be interacting in a fandom#the whole point i was trying to make is that people need to stop playing activist when they break the first rule of activism#you're not supposed to speak over or for people#this means cis people stop having this conversation#white people stop talking about race.. other poc dont talk about communities youre not in#dont have conversations about sexuality if you're going to be phobic about another sexuality#stop talking about mi or nd conditions you dont have.. dont imply anything about people#and honestly above all stop acting like you guys know these people you fucking dont#im done talking about this leave me alone i dont care

I am just failing to understand. People are ridiculously privileged to the extent of having surface levelled outlook on the world yet have the audacity to act morally superior.
How easily Iraq invasion was forgotten. Even though its drastic consequences is a daily event for Iraqis.
Did people compare “B*sh” to “Hitler”? No.
Did people call “Russia for help” when that happened? No.
Did governments “boycott” USA for violating international rules when they tried to manipulate UN? No.
Did governments put sanctions on AmeriKKKa when they destroyed Libya, Syria, Afghanistan?
What in the name cognitive dissonance is calling help from Biden means? Do you think they care? Do you think they have no hands in this? Do you think they are any better despite their long history of violations more than Russia & China included?
Do you remember Hiroshima? No? But your memory doesnt fail to remember Chernobyyl right? You know what happens in Ukraine, right? But are you aware of the US-backed Saudi-led war in Yemen that has been going on for years & resulted in starvation? You are “ASTONISHED” at P*tin’s bombs but your silence about Isra*l daily bombs (aided by N*TO) is astonishing me.
How did AmeriKKKa succeed in being the greatest imperialist power yet keeping a “hero”image? How are they able to evaporate their war crimes in the minds of people and brush another imperialist entity that is lesser in power as the sole villain?
The existence of two opposing evil entities is much better for the world than the existence of just one. However, when one has more power, having an unbiased stance is siding with the upper hand. This is the reality of the world, emotions aside. It is not more humanitarian of you to be “anti both”. Because. Who. Isnt? But that cant happen now. That just frees your guilt while simultaneously having selective outrage! Ignorance is a choice now, you might be indoctrinated and that is why you have a responsibility to READ!
Someone told me yesterday that US airstrikes are not the same as “Russian war” because it is a “daily occurrence”! Those are the people who are yelling at us from their high horse for being “Russian puppets” for saying if USA really cared about innocent Ukrainians they wouldnt have pressured them to join NATO & provoke war. And after threatening lives on both sides, they hand the responsibility to Russia. This reminds me of an Egyptian proverb “He hit me and cried, he preceded me and complained.”
If Russia was to deploy US missiles by USA’s borders, wouldn’t they start a WAR to “defend their country”? Oh wait, that already happened till Russia retreated!
Some people on here driven by fake sense of intellect will oversimplify my words & write paragraphs about how N*zi I am and that “USA is bad too” is a silly rhetoric. Dont blame me for your own lack of comprehension skills & inability to interpret words further than your pre-judgement.
We all know both sides are bad. No one is saying Putin is a good man. He is an aggressor BUT:
1) not in this context.
2) this sentence only strengthens USA.
3) USA & NATO are another warmongers. You dont call help from warmongers. Western intervention is beyond horrific. The middle east cannot yet revive. The smartest thing to do is refuse any participation instead of taking part in war propaganda.
4) USA will always be the ultimate EVIL. You cannot simply “dismiss” their politics from this conflict. Especially after the coup & integrating neonazis to the Ukrainian army.
5) Russia can not afford war. They will NOT benefit from a war.
6) YOU cannot be morally superior when you support sanctions on other countries and allow USA to succeed in pushing a world-wide anti Russia perspective while they do the same(worse) and never in spotlight.

okay i just got two more asks about Nope (2022) and I know the reading comprehension in this website is piss poor, but y'all really did skip my tags on that last ask huh? the one that said
"Don't send me anymore asks about this film, please, I'm trying to forget it"
[ID: a print of tags reading "animal cruelty m/", "animal death m/", "nope (2022) critical" and "dont send me anymore asks about this film pls im trying to forget it"]
The fact that you guys are insisting on bringing up a topic which i specifically mentioned to have caused me a panic attack is beyond me. That said, I'll answer those under the cut for politeness' sake, any following message on this subject will be deleted, as I do not owe anyone to interact with content that is triggering.
Same goes to anyone else btw, no amount of guilt-tripping should force you to talk/see/interact with topics that make you uncomfortable, especially if the other people are damn aware of your discomfort.
Prints of the asks and my responses under the cut, with plenty of spoilers to the movie and mentions of the triggers above, so reader discretion is advised.
Also, before you decide to call me a "racist white woman" for disliking a black-led movie (like someone whose ask i'm not replying did), remember that a) people are allowed not to like things and b) i'm a brown latina of Black and Native descent so maybe stop assuming everyone is white for two minutes bc thats, honestly, is racist.
oh, and just one more thing:
DON'T SEND ME MORE ASKS ABOUT THIS MOVIE
The animal abuse is in the fact that the horses were consistently used as bait by Jupe. Also, OJ dismounts in order to survive by sacrificing his horse to the creature. Furthermore, and this is only my interpretation at this point, OJ states that any creature with a spirit can be broken, which left me wondering whether he and his father were cruel to their horses while taming them.
I've read a lot on the traditional and horrific way people beat horses to tame them, and while I do hope the character took a humane, kind approach, we can't be sure, and that line didn't sit well with me. The animals also get injured and eaten, which i consider also animal cruelty, with the plot to blame for it, but still.
To give a different example, in Secret Window [spoiler], a dog is cruelly killed off-camera before the owner finds it stabbed and dead. I list that as animal cruelty, even if it's off screen, because an animal is harmed and suffers in the story.
that distinction is important though: i'm not at ALL accusing Peele or the crew of abusing the animals. I'm saying that it is a story full of animal abuse. And for me, an animal lover, to sit through a movie like that and enjoy it, the story would have to be damn goo - which, unfortunately, it wasn't.
the amount of bad movies that got explained away by a scoff and a "oh, you don't get it" is staggering. I'm giving my personal view based on my lifetime of personal experiences and media consumption, and my personal opinion is - it's a bad movie.
It's too long, it's pace is clunky, the characters lack personality (not the actors' fault), the chimp subplot being practically a copy-paste of a real life incident from which the victim is still traumatized and disfigured, the use of animals as disposable tools, the plot holes, the lack of sibling dynamic between the characters, the completely open end, it all lead to me wishing i had stayed home painting my toenails.
Films can be deep. They can be layered. They can have hidden meanings, connections left for the viewer to make, etc. But if they intend to be like that, they have to be a puzzle of which some corners and a few pieces are already in place so that you can think and fit the others in place your own way.
They can't just dump the pieces all over you and say "now, make some sense out of this."
And, again, I am so appalled over the disrespect of using a story as recent as 2009 as a scary plot point for an extremely gorey scene. Peele could've come up with an animal-related tragedy of his own, but instead he chose to copy a horrifying true story, without even disguising it with the constant nods at Oprah's name.
Like, at the end of the day, this is my opinion. I found it bad. Poorly written and lazy. I have the right to this opinion as much as you have a right to yours. But you don't get to call me ignorant or anything just because i didn't enjoy a movie you think is deep.
Because honestly, to me, it's shallow and dull, and a waste of all the effort I made not to leave the theater for those two hours and sixteen minutes that i'm never getting back.
#nope (2022) critical#animal cruelty m/#animal death m/#STOP. TALKING TO ME. ABOUT THIS SHITSHOW.#you can block anonymous askers' IPs on tumblr and by god i'm gonna start blocking y'alls asses#long post/

You're 100/time more reliable than Harry's entire fandom. Place dont care about them and you have all right to call them out bc they put word in your mouth and/or jump in to conclusions lol. We're with you and already love here💪🏽 notification on ✔
It's not even about being more reliable. I do not care if they believe me or not. I am more annoyed that they blame me for their own lack of reading comprehension and therefore blame me for the own gossip they spread. It's weird cause I did not even put Rande and Harry's name in the same sentence, the anons who think the world revolves around Harry Styles did. Like do you (not you anon) really think you're getting somewhere by getting mad at me or thinking I'm at fault, when you're the one who jumped to your own conclusion or feel the need to defend Rande Gerber? Like the man isn't a real celeb, so the only way I can think why that anon was so pressed is cause they feel the need to make everything about Harry Styles and everyone around him perfect.

”A Very Long and Comprehensive Analysis of Feyre’s Experience w/ Trauma and Abuse
- This is not a kind analysis of Nesta but please still read it if you want. It’s not in the wrong tags tho so please don’t rant about how much you love Nesta. I love that for you. Personally, I hate her. :)
Also- I use many of the quotes that @feysandlover and @dont-rattle-aelin used to prove her point that Nesta is abusive because she pulled many of the really jarring ones.
I was looking through the Rhysand tag and for some reason someone posted something comparing Nesta and Feyre in terms of their trauma, and they said that Nesta had experienced way more trauma than Feyre and I-
That’s disgusting.
First - don’t compare trauma
Second- they were wrong and lacked critical thinking skills that left out Feyre’s full experience with abuse
Nesta was sexually assaulted ( which nobody talks about enough) and her family’s fortune flipped making them poor overnight. Because of this she fostered anger towards her father. I get that. I sympathize with that. She is then taken away from her life and forcefully changed into fae. I cannot imagine what that felt like for her. It must have been devastating. Her whole identity was shifted in one day and she went from hating fae to being fae. Confusing and overwhelming. She then goes into war and develops PTSD and depression from her experiences. She sees her father die and is unable to reconcile her anger and his death. It’s horrible and I cannot even begin to understand the depth of her emotions here. I have zero issue saying that about Nesta because it’s true she has gone through extaordinary trauma and I cannot imagine how she fully feels. She deals with this trauma in unhealthy ways because they only exacerbate her feelings of worthlessness. Not her fault. However, she also treats Mor and Feyre and Rhys in disrespectful ways and Cassian and her have an unhealthy dynamic where they insult each other. Her and Amren have a shaky and partner like relationship but it is by no means a sturdy one. Az and Nesta don’t seem to have a relationship at all. She has no true healthy relationship with anyone but Elain, and you could argue even that is not truly healthy.
Much of Nesta’s trauma is due to extraneous factors and a multitude or variables. It’s valid and it matters just as much as Feyres. They are both real. However the amount of traumatic experiences she has gone through does not come close to rivaling that of Feyre’s and to even try and compare them is disgusting. Trauma should never be compared but I want to show Feyre’s experience in a broader light to show her development from a scared girl to high lady
Feyre was never an active abuser in any relationship she was always the one being abused. Nesta was abused and she was also the abuser. It is important to point that out because it heavily impacts Feyre’s story.
Also, I believe the reason Feyre became so accustomed and slipped so easily into being a victim to Tamlins abuse is because Feyre was already the victim of emotional abuse from her sisters. We see this everyday, research shows that victims of abuse go back to abusive relationship and form new relationships that center around abuse because they are used to it and find it comforting. This is an extraneous point that you can agree with or can argue against it’s just a personal connection I made. However, it is very evident how Nesta and Elains treatment of Feyre affects her. She has no self confidence, she remains illiterate and with no real knowledge of polite manners ( something important in the real world, something that holds her back from being able to assimilate into the real world), her spirit is broken down at home because she knows that verbal attacks are going to come and Nesta is going to lash out and say horrible disgusting things to her if she asks her to do something or holds her accountable for her lack of work. She is constantly degraded for everything that she does and it has a pronoucned effect on her psyche throughout the trilogy and novella.
Like Nesta, Feyre also had to go through her family losing their fortune, she also had to bear the weight of her promise to her mother, she had to support her sisters financially going into the forest alone to hunt animals just as big as herself at 14. She never had money for herself because her sisters took it from her. Like they literally took all her money to buy things they did not need, leaving Feyre with basically nothing.
“I’d love a new cloak,” Elain said at last with a sigh, at the same moment Nesta rose and declared: “I need a new pair of boots.””“I kept quiet, knowing better than to get in the middle of one of their arguments, but I glanced at Nesta’s still-shiny pair by the door. Beside hers, my too-small boots were falling apart at the seams, held together only by fraying laces... I drowned them out as they began quarreling over who would get the money the hide would fetch tomorrow…”
And Nesta complains and whines and doesn’t stop gaslighting Feyre because of her lack of hard work. But, she doesn’t want to do work herself because she thinks it’s beneath her.
“I thought you were going to chop wood today. Nesta picked at her long, neat nails. “I hate chopping wood. I always get splinters. She glanced up from beneath her dark lashes. Of all of us, Nesta looked the most like our mother—especially when she wanted something. “Besides, Feyre,” she said with a pout, “you’re so much better at it! It takes you half the time it takes me. Your hands are suited for it—they’re already so rough.” My jaw clenched. “Please,” I asked, calming my breathing, knowing an argument was the last thing I needed or wanted. “Please get up at dawn to chop that wood.” I unbuttoned the top of my tunic. “Or we’ll be eating a cold breakfast.” Her brows narrowed. “I will do no such thing!”
She doesn’t care about Feyre or the fact that starving is their new reality. Poverty is what they live in. We all know if Feyre didn’t go hunting Nesta would be furious at Feyre and belittle her and make her feel small and responsible for their hunger.
“Take those disgusting clothes off.”
“Any bit of praise for anyone—me, Elain, other villagers—usually resulted in her dismissal.”
“Is there a problem, Feyre?” She flung my name like an insult, and my jaw ached from clenching it so hard.”
“You stink like a pig covered in its own filth. Can’t you at least try to pretend that you’re not an ignorant peasant?”c“Take those disgusting clothes off.”
“What do you know?” Nesta breathed. “You’re just a half-wild beast with the nerve to bark orders at all hours of the day and night. Keep it up, and someday—someday, Feyre, you’ll have no one left to remember you, or to care that you ever existed.” She stormed off, Elain darting after her, cooing her sympathy.
Then Tamlim comes and kidnaps her. More trauma. She falls in love with him, I think partly because of Stockholm Syndrome and also because he shows her a level of kindness that she was not given at home, and then he disappears so she has to go back to her life with her sisters. Her sisters have all the benefits of her being stolen away bcs Feyre was able to provide their old house and wealth back through Tamlin’s gift. Her sisters literally never did anything to provide for themselves or help their father or sister. If you really think about that situation as a whole it’s devastating. Then she goes to save Tamlin and finds that her home and her loved one was basically destroyed. She goes to save him.
While under the mountain Amarantha humiliates and tortures her for fun. She makes her run around trying to get away from a monster, her illiteracy is exploited for amusement while she is under pressure of death by fire, she is forced to kill fae in order to save her love, and she has to suffer with her injuries in a basement where everyone is rooting against her.
Then she fucking dies. And like Nesta she is forced to become fae in order to survive. Like she can’t catch a break. Her whole life has really just been horrible and so traumatic. A series of abuses.
That’s not even all! She goes home and is deeply depressed and struggling with PTSD and Tamlin, who she literally was tortured and died to save, takes advantage of her sexually because he is too scared to acknowledge that she is struggling. He uses her body for his pleasure while she throws up every night after he leaves her bedroom due to the nightmares she gets from saving hundreds of fae. She is also forced to fit into a box that she doesn’t want- wearing dresses, pretending to be happy, becoming a figurehead as Tamlins bride knowing that it means she will have to be submissive and have children. Lucien emotionally abused her and ignores her obvious depression because of his own fear of what Tamlin would say. He is a bystander. She is so broken that she stops caring about everything, even painting, the one thing she always loved. Then he traps her in his house which is traumatizing again because she was just trapped under the mountain! Even the people she loved, the people she trusted, continually can’t stop abusing her.
She finds happiness and stability later on after intensive work on herself, and months of building healthy relationships, but she is still troubled because of the guilt she feels from the townsfolks anger and their sense of righteousness for her actions even though she did the best she could in every circumstance. When she goes to try and save those townspeople it becomes clear that Nesta still hates her. She shows Feyre no kindness. The only reason she is allowed to use the house, the one that Feyre got for them, was because of Elain. Even after that Nesta insults her repeatedly for being fae. Those statments from the first book that I quoted higher up in this post are just a small part of how she speaks to Feyre in the following three books after she finds out that she is fae. Even after Feyre saves her and supports her she continues abusing and blaming Feyre. She continues to insult. degrade, shame, and humiliate her to uplift her own lack of self worth. Its a technique to stop her own insecurity and depression but it is in no way excusable. It’s no wonder Rhysand hates her. She abused his mate for years- something that he experienced under the mountain (shame, gaslighting, and humiliation). That is her life. She goes on to see her father murdered. She suffered so much in such a short amount of time is a wonder she wasn’t more broken.
Don’t come to me saying Nesta experienced more trauma to prove your point that Nesta is a good person and not responsible for her actions because she “feels to much” and is a woman that is cruel, and prideful, and unapologetic “bcs that’s who she is.” She has to be held accountable for her actions, her attitude, and her lack of words and apologies to everyone she wronged- especially her sister.
Feyre sacrifices her childhood, her body, her mental health, and her life in order to provide the stability that her sisters felt was their norm. They are inherently priviledged because of that sacrifice. They felt and still feel entitled to her money, and her loyalty, and that of her friends and mate. They survive because of Feyre. And Feyre never once called them out on their behavior, not even when they continually disrespected her after she provided them with a place to live and money to live off of. This was due to her feelings of guilt and the trauma that she had continually been victim to as a child and in Tamlins court.
Some of y’all use the excuse that they never asked Feyre to do any of that and I’m genuinely appalled that that is even a response to her genuine sacrifice. Her mother asked her to take care of them. Nobody was stepping up. Nesta was not going to go into the forest and neither was Elain, both for different but equally disappointing reasons. They both would have let the family starve. Also, Nesta and Elain were both older than her. Elain and Nesta as Feyre’s old sisters should have, and had a responsibility, to ensure that Feyre didn’t have to do what she did. Their apathy and ungrateful attitude is disgusting. Disgusting and unforgivable. Sure, Feyre may have been able to do it but she never should have had to. The three of them should have figured out a plan of equal work to give and take and survive. Y’all saying that Feyre never had to do that I- ... do you not have a family? Do you not have loved ones? You don’t have to do something to help your family, but you do it anyway because you love them and you hate to see them suffer. It’s just that usually you aren’t being exploited and taken advantage of at 14, for years on end, because the sentiment is usually reciprocated.
Perhaps if they had taken better care of their younger sister she would not have been in the woods and killed the fae. Perhaps all three of them would have bore the brunt of their fathers injury together and made a family. Perhaps if she hadn’t killed the fae in the forest when she was starving due to her sisters laziness, Elain and Nesta would never have been forced into being fae.
They neglected Feyre. They aren’t as responsible for her as their father ofc but they actively neglected her and Nesta even slut shamed her for her consensual sexual relationship with Isaac. The one thing she had that her sisters couldn’t take and Nesta called her filthy and disgusting for it.
“At least I don’t have to resort to rutting in the hay with Isaac Hale like an animal.”
Nesta remains unapologetic and to me she is not a feminist character. Sarah J Mass tried to use her as that trope to fulfill her idea of a “powerful woman” icon but she’s just a cruel and traumatized woman who people let off the hook. She gets away with it because she gaslights other characters while taking no responsibility for herself. She was abused and traumatized herself but that’s never an excuse for her in turn abusing someone else.
Now I don’t mean to say that Nesta or Elain are irredeemable. Frankly I think they both have potential to be good characters if they just apologized to Feyre in the next book, and really put those sentiments into actions. I do think Nesta is a bad person right now, I think she’s an abuser. And I think it’s hard for abusers to change their pattern of abuse. Elain is less of an outright abuser and more complicit in the abuse. I don’t know if either of them can change, but they definitely won’t if people keep letting them off the hook for their disgusting behavior. I am not impressed or charmed by either of them. Until they show a hint of gratitude and remorse to their sister because as y’all can tell she went through hell to make sure they were taken care of. Not to say that they didn’t do anything for Feyre. They both had important roles to play in the war, and they do have their moments of kindness and bravery and showed they cared for Feyre but abusers can be kind and considerate and brave one minute and then switch up just as fast. It’s about showing a consistent pattern of respect and love.
Just because Feyre took care of Elain and Nesta their whole damn life does not mean she has to be responsible for them as high lady. Also she is not responsible for knowing how to deal with their trauma. Her own abuse, and lack of real world experience- because Nesta and Elain never taught her to read, and Nesta continually degraded and made cruel remarks to Feyre about her lack of manners “ disgusting pig, take off your clothes didn’t anyone teach you ...” (manners she didn’t develop because she was in the forest)- means she is not perfect at confronting Nestas PTSD or depression. Feyre’s intention was always good, whereas you can’t tell me that Nestas was good and pure. She is not exempt from being respectful and kind because she is hurt and has mental illnesses. She is not exempt from apologizing because she “feels to much.”
This applies to all of the IC as well. They are all healing. They all experienced trauma that rivals what Feyre went through. It’s no wonder they built a family from that shared bond. They are healing together- not healed. Nesta is not entitled to Feyre’s care or her friends kindness. She is not entitled to be added into the group painting or their secret jokes or parties because she continues to push them all away. Then she insults them and disrespects them. The inner circle has already suffered so much they are not exactly going to be open to accepting Nesta knowing her history and her current actions and remarks, and the history of the IC. Do y’all not remember Mors family nailing a stake into her body for losing her virginity? Or Cassian, Az, and Rhys being forced to bond together to survive, being called bastards, and being ganged up on by all their peers? Rhys being sexually abused for 50 years and seeing his parents murdered? Az being stuck in a basement so long he became the shadows and his hands being burned so badly they were hard to look at? Or Amren being in the wrong body for centuries and still she and all of the IC remain a family because they try to understand each other and their experiences. Nesta was not only rude to them she was cruel and spiteful, especially to their high lady, and they don’t need an excuse, but especially as victims of abuse, they are not perfect, and they sure as hell are not obligated to embrace Nesta into their family. The IC and Feyre deserve better.
A lot of people have posed the argument that if Nesta was male everyone would love her but I disagree. If an older brother let his sister go hunting alone in the woods for years while sitting on his ass, slut shamed her and called her dirty and disgusting, blamed her for her family’s poverty and spoke to her like she was trash for years and years, verbally and emotionally belittled her, felt entitled to her possessions and her kindness while they were both struggling to heal from abuse, predisposes his sister to accepting abuse as a form of relationship, and then rather than apologize “steels [her] back” and says nothing-not even an apology or a thank you for saving their life tenfold- he would never even have gotten a redemption story, or a mate, let alone a 700 page book. He would be the most hated character in the series but because it’s Nesta and she’s a woman and y’all pose her as this feminist it’s okay that shes abusive all throughout the series.

Slate Roof Installation Mistakes
Top 10 Mistakes Made When Installing
1. Lack of information:
The contractors (and homeowners) have not done their homework. The contractor blindly bullies ahead with the job without making any effort whatsoever to do any research. A simple search on the internet can yield a wealth of information about slate roofs, sources of correct tools, materials, supplies and installation techniques.
2. All slate is not the same:
You wouldn't buy a car without looking at different models and checking their track record and cars only last ten years and are cheaper than slate roofs! A slate roof is an investment in the future of your building. It will reasonably last 150 years if constructed correctly. There are many different types of slate with differing characteristics and longevity. Why buy a foreign slate with no track record? Do the research. [Source list of new roofing slate] [Source list of salvaged roofing slate]
youtube
3. The contract documents are deficient:
Every detail about the slate roof installation should be included in the contract documents type, size and origin of the slate; type, length and gauge of the nails; type and installation style of underlayment; type and size of cant strip; headlap; flashing specifications; number of squares to be installed; slate installation style, and many other details. A basic contract (Sample Slate Roof Installation Proposal) is posted here.
4. Lack of headlap:
This fundamental detail of any successful slate roof installation is hard to overlook, but it is ignored by some roofing contractors. Lack of adequate headlap spells disaster for a slate roof. I have seen new roofs with inadequate headlap (i.e. less than 2), no headlap at all, and even negative headlap. Do your homework, contractors, or stay away from slate roof jobs. [An illustration of correct headlap and of incorrect headlap. Another example of incorrect headlap. ] Read an article about headlap.
5. Bad flashing work:
There are two things that keep water from penetrating a slate roof: the slates and the flashings. Not only must the flashing metal be of adequate type and gauge, but it must be installed correctly. This is not rocket science, but it does require some training and/or experience in order to be done correctly and to be leakproof. [Source of good quality flashing material.]
6. No consultant was used on the job:
As a consultant, I am called on after the work has been completed and the roof has failed this is a mistake. Professional advice should be obtained before the roof is installed and even before the structure is built, if possible. However, not all slate roof installations require a consultant. Homeowners can educate themselves for very little money by simply reading a copy of the Slate Roof Bible, reading past Traditional Roofing articles online at traditional roofing.com, and asking questions on the message board at slateroofcentral.com.
7. Contractors walking on the slate:
This is one of the worst problems with new slate roof installations. Roof slate is not to be walked on period. It is not a floor that is being installed it is a roof. The roof must be properly staged so the roofers are working off roof ladders and roof scaffolds. If the contractors are walking all over the slate roof during installation, its because they don't know what the hell they're doing and the property owner will have many headaches later when the slates start falling off. This is a guarantee. Good slaters knows how to install slate, and they wont walk on a slate roof unless its a last resort in an unusual circumstance. Need roof jacks?
8. Poor sheathing materials:
The roof decking must last as long as the slate. A good roof deck should last the life of two slate roofs, or about 200 to 300 years. In any case, a roof decking material under slate must have a known longevity of at least 150 years. Materials that have been tried and proven for this purpose include lumber boards and battens from ¾ to 1.5 thick rough-sawn, planed or tongue-in-grooved from a variety of species of wood. Plywood, laminated woods and particle boards are sub-standard roof decking materials for slate roofs and should be avoided. Yes, you can install slate on laminated or glued decking materials, but a compromise on longevity is likely to be the result. If a slate roof is to be built to last, the roof deck should be solid boards, not glued sheets of wood.
9. Emphasis on underlayment:
This is a red herring. If a slate roof leaks, its because it was installed improperly, not because of underlayment or lack of it. Properly installed slate roofs need no underlayment. The main purpose of the underlayment is to keep the water out of the building until the slate and flashings are installed. After that, if you could magically yank the underlayment out from under the slate, it wouldnt make a bit of difference in the functioning capabilities of the roof. Secondary purposes for underlayment include providing a good surface for chalk lines during installation, providing a minimal layer of insulation, and providing a cushion for when the slates are being slapped down during installation.
Barn slate roofs in the United States and there were thousands and still are quite a few, mostly a century old or older were installed without any underlayment whatsoever. This is true for some institutional buildings as well. Most of the older homes in the U.S. were installed with a standard single layer of 30 lb felt under the slate roofs. These homes are so old now that the felt has deteriorated to dust, but the roofs are fine. If the slates and flashings are intact, the roof will not leak, underlayment or no underlayment, even in a sustained driving rain. This is a proven fact, not a theory.
If a contractor or architect is insisting upon a beefed-up underlayment under a new slate roof installation, it means they believe the new roof will leak and that the underlayment will delay the entry of the water into the building. This is flawed logic and reveals a gross misunderstanding of slate roofs. Architects sometimes confuse slate roofs with ceramic tile roofs. Although tile roofs may require a substantial underlayment, slate roofs, properly installed, do not.
Underlayment does, however, provide a margin of waterproofing in the event a slate roof is damaged by wind, tree-fall, or other unusual circumstance. An acceptable slate roof installation today still typically utilizes a single layer of 30 lb. felt underlayment, doubled (half-lapped) when the need for a heavier underlayment is required (such as when a roof must be left exposed for a period of time before the slates are installed).

What about ice-damming? Increase the slate headlap along the eaves to prevent ice-damming, but do not rely on whats underneath the slate to keep the roof from leaking. If the slate and flashings are installed correctly, the roof will not leak. That is the beauty of a stone roof. Ice Dams on Slate Roofs:?How to Avoid Them
10. Inexperienced roofing contractors:
It is an unfortunate fact that many contractors cannot be trusted to give sound and honest advice or information. This issue is exacerbated by property owners who dont get competing bids before initiating a contract; who dont educate themselves about the nature of the work prior to hiring a contractor; and who dont insist upon a detailed, coherent and comprehensive contract document. One major effort that is being made today to try to screen contractors for slate roofing purposes is the Slate Roofing Contractors Association of North America, initiated on March 1, 2005. It lists contractor members at slateroofers.org. Included with the listing is a Contractor Profile which reveals details about the contracting firm that the average consumer would want to know. There is more information about the SRCA here.
Bad slate roof installations are seriously harming the slate roofing industry. One university administrator told me he had slate roofs installed on his dormitories because he wanted the best roofs money could buy. Then, after five large slate roofs had been installed on his campus by the same roofing contractor, it was discovered they had been installed with only 1.5 headlap, or none at all. The discovery of this gross deficiency left the administrator stunned, shocked and disgusted. He never wanted to look at another slate roof again. Who can blame him?

Boruto: Naruto Next Generations Ep 21 REVIEW
Note: These are just my thoughts and opinions and I am not trying to change someone’s POV or opinion. :D
One of the topics I’m going to talk about will be divided in to 8 parts for better understanding. Lets get on with it
1. Sasuke as a father/husband
I want to talk about his facial expressions
This is Sasuke we are talking about, before his is a person full of hatred and only wants revenge, but you can clearly see the REGRET, PAIN and SADNESS on his facial expressions. He changed a lot ever since he was saved and freed from the curse of hatred. He is deeply affected by it.
We can also see in this picture how he reflected from his actions. He was about to hurt her own daughter and regretted that action.
I also love this part
Am i the only one who sees the shadow of Itachi in Sasuke? Itachi sacrificed himself for the sake of the future and the entire village, just like what sasuke is doing right now. It’s also for the safety of his family. Imagine not seeing your family for many years and your travelling alone. He really is a father right now and I still can’t believe it.
We also get to see this gentle side of him, like before he push those people away from him haha
And this scene, he admitted his mistakes and that he is not a perfect father and is responsible on why sarada acted that way, he is not blaming anyone but only himself. He used to be an arrogant and pride type kind of brat though. So this is a huge character development for him.
Another eyesmex for SASUSAKU <3
2. Sarada’s Sharingan
SARADA AWAKENED THE SHARINGAN IN AN EARLY AGE!! WHAATTT!! SP is playing with my feelings. I guess that would explain this:
I definitely would love to see Sarada awakening her sharingan when she was a child, that would maybe explain why she wore glasses and the time when she had a fever in the gaiden. Remember when himawari awakened her byakugan and boruto said she had a fever later on that day. Damn, cant wait for this arc to be finished haha.
I REALLY LIKE SARADA’S VOICE ACTRESS,, KOKORO KIKUCHI. She was able to portray sarada’s character really well. Especially at the end scene where she shouted “Mamaaa”.
3. Sakura as a mother/wife
DAMMNNNNN SAKURA WAS A BADASS, you better not mess with mamakura especially when you hurt her family and of course naruto hahaha.. Look at shin’s face after she punched him.
LOL HAHAHAHAHAAHAHA
DEARY YOU ARE NOT. This was sakura admitting her mistake even though in reality it wasn’t her fault, Sasuke and Sakura chose to sacrifice, instead of having a normal family for the sake of the future and peace. Since “peace is secured through greater huge sacrifices” - Naruto. She did everything she could, heck, she’s a mother that works and does household chores ALONE. I really dont understand those people who watches/loves naruto series but is ignorant about Sakura.
4. Uchiha Family
Sasuke and Sakura doesn’t need words to know how to other feels. Basically in this panel in my point of view only. Sasuke was saying in his mind “I’m a failure as a father, I’ve hurt Sarada,go comfort her, I’m sorry for all the things I’ve done” while Sakura was saying “It’s alright, everything is gonna be okay, I understand don’t worry” you can see in the panel that sakura was being positive despite of what is happening to their family.
In my understanding, if we look at Sasuke’s POV this was him being sad and broken for he cannot comfort Sarada himself but Sakura can. It hurt him to see sarada being that way but he can’t do anything, i think this was the purpose of the scene it was to emphasize that Sasuke as father is struggling how to interact with sarada. Although, i honestly i admit, i don’t really understand the purpose of this scene.
I also love the way how sakura then comforted sarada and reasurring her that everything now is gonna be okay.
5. “Sasuke and Naruto in their weakened state” -this is what other people said not me
I’ve seen some people especially in youtube that hates this scene because both of them were so weak even though they had destructible god like powers.
First of all, Naruto and Sasuke wasn’t able to move because of Shin’s ability to restrain them while they are pierced by a blade that he marked. Secondly, sasuke was weakened or doesn’t have enough chakra to perform susanoo or greater jutsu because he hasn’t recovered yet due to the reason he was travelling from another dimension.
As we can see, he doesn’t have the tomoe in his rinnegan. But those are people doesn’t have any idea what happened in the manga. So i understand and we can’t blame them. Although sometimes, they lack reading comprehension.
6. TEAM 7
We get to see them again!! wohoooo.. really love..They are in their badass moves. Though, the upcoming episodes will be more amazing.
Sarada deary you just dont know how your parents and uncle naruto worked together to defeat kaguya and how deadly this team can be when group together. hahahahaha..
7. Chou chou
Awwwhhhhh chou chou, i just can’t help but adore this kid she’s such a cute cinnamon roll. She’s not even afraid of Sasuke and just went and grabbed his hand and even naruto’s clothes LOL.
8. Hokage Summit
I actually talked about this in my other post here it is:
https://naruto-nerd-anime-lover.tumblr.com/post/164521342590/theory-about-sarada-awakening-her-sharingan
Over all, i love the episode mostly because i love the way how the SP was able to add more scenes and will be revealed later on because i kinda felt like the manga is rushed because of course kishi can only draw limited pages but i still love kishi. And yo, the music at sasuke and sarada’s reunion i played it over and over again, its in the youtube actually though the version is different, instead of a female voice in the new ep its only instrumental but they are still the same. Its actually called Boruto OST 1 - Track 24 - Aibo (Patience)
And the voice actors people, gosh, they really did a great job. Sasuke’s voice (sugiyama) is really soft. And sakura’s (chie) voice has matured to motherly way. even sarada (kikuchi) my they have such amazing talents.
Until on my next review. Have a nice day!! :D

@pear-otter proposing an Experiment
pear-otter Hello Aud. I know we aren’t on the best of terms, but I want to propose an experiment. I don’t remember if I told you this when you were in my body, but I can possess people. I want to see if I can do it with more ease now that I’ve actually already been you. Obviously it would be a quick in and out, no tomfoolery whatsoever. We can even ask someone to oversee, like Damian. Anyway, let me know. I’m just curious so feel free to say no, haha
kilnkin you didnt tell me but ive heard it around aka that time you told everyone lol why exactly should i agree to this
pear-otter Scientific curiosity?
kilnkin weak have you pulled it off before or is it all theoretical
pear-otter I’ve possessed a bunch of humans before, but trying it on other non-humans is kind of risky. I feel like it should be easy because I’ve been in your body before and I want to confirm my theory.
pear-otter Plus you could see what it’s like to be possessed without anything bad happening or having to do stuff you don’t want to.
pear-otter I might not even be able to do it.
kilnkin you probably will
pear-otter Probably.
kilnkin idk why do you even wanna know if you can if its just in and out that doesnt sound fun
pear-otter I don’t want to make you uncomfortable Aud. I’m just curious if the body swap had that effect. Since now I can pull off a pretty convincing Aud, I was wondering if there were other ways the body swap affected things.
kilnkin lmao it did plenty. im like scarred for life over here youve earned a recurring role in my nightmares im not uncomfortable though >:(
pear-otter Oh, same.
kilnkin same what. i didnt think you were uncomfortable
pear-otter No, the dreams
kilnkin LOL thats so sweet that youre thinking of me (:
pear-otter You literally just admitted the same thing.
kilnkin no i said nightmares and maybe i was joking
pear-otter Maybe I was joking too Stop changing the subject.
kilnkin were you joking?
pear-otter No. You’re always...there, in the background. My dreams are never about You, but you’re always sort of a background character.
pear-otter It’s weird because I always remember that you were there, even though I don’t remember my dreams very well usually. And it certainly wasn’t happening before!!
kilnkin ooh maybe a little part of me got stuck in your psyche after grand theft audo wont blame you! im very easy to get attached to (:
pear-otter Oh that doesn’t sound good Sometimes I don’t understand the dreams I’m in either, they’re not things I’m familiar with. Anyway. About my proposal.
kilnkin well thats just a dream thing. the nothuman mind is a kooky place you know oh! do you want to get in my head as like a revenge thing for me getting in yours? :p
pear-otter My dreams were fairly straightforward before.
kilnkin eye for an eye blah blah. how archaic
pear-otter No! I won’t be able to see your thoughts or anything Aud. Is that what you’re worried about?
kilnkin no maybe are you sure
pear-otter Yes. Trust me, I don’t want to see your thoughts. Nothing personal, that goes for pretty much everyone. Invading someone’s privacy to that degree is something you can’t take back.
kilnkin yeah so. just in and out right
pear-otter Yes. If you like, we can have a third party there to witness.
pear-otter I suggested Damian because I feel like most people would be weirded out. But as long as you’re okay with it.
kilnkin no reason i shouldnt be right
pear-otter Aud, you can say no. I don’t want to do this if you’re just trying to prove a point and are actually not okay with this.
kilnkin should i say no? is it a big deal or not make up your mind lol
pear-otter Look. I’m just curious. There should be no down side for you, but people here seem to think possession is a Big Deal. I can understand if you don’t trust me enough to give up bodily autonomy, even for a half minute. I promise nothing bad will happen to you. But it’s a big enough thing that I don’t want to force this one you.
kilnkin ugh
kilnkin yeah ok
pear-otter I won’t think you’re scared if you say no, just that you don’t trust me, which is reasonable given our past.
kilnkin i wanna know if it works
pear-otter Okay.
kilnkin i wouldnt be scared. and i dont especially trust you. but i also doubt your ability to actually pull off anything nasty havent proven yourself that creative lol when do you wanna go
pear-otter I also won’t take this permission as permission to ever do it again, just so you know. The thing is, possessing you isn’t super exciting for me because I can already become you now, through shifting. Whenever.
kilnkin have you? been me again much?
kilnkin you seemed pretty happy to not lol have you asked damian or should i
pear-otter No I haven’t asked Damian. He’ll probably want to check if you’re okay with it anyway, so you should message him.
pear-otter I was stuck in the library, so I haven’t had many Aud Opportunities. It is cool to have a form so perfected. I could probably fool anyone you know.
kilnkin unlikely again. you lack the creativity
pear-otter I mean acting wise, probably not. But just standing there? Absolutely.
kilnkin no way i have a very specific way of just standing there
kilnkin not just anyone can pull it off
pear-otter Fine then, a photograph.
kilnkin bzz
pear-otter I’ll just have to pay more attention to the way you convey yourself, since I haven’t had reason to look before.
kilnkin dont let anyone get a photo
pear-otter I could totally pull off a picture Aud
kilnkin consumed with thoughts of me in your waking hours too! m flattered nuh uh
pear-otter Your reading comprehension skills are terrible.
kilnkin soon to be, then
pear-otter Aud if you’re trying to goad me into taking pictures of myself as you, you’ll just have to wait, I’m in bed
kilnkin not really but yeah thanks for the info we done?
pear-otter Let me know what Damian says.
kilnkin sure anything at all for scientific curiosity!
pear-otter Okay! If you still want to back out, you can always blame Damian. Anyway, good night.
kilnkin good tip. night.
