What’s your favourite kind of wolf?

Oh hello there! Obviously I like gray wolves as a species (as opposed to say, red wolves), but I wouldn't say I have a favorite subspecies. I do have some favorite colors and markings though! While I think all wolves are beautiful, I particularly like black wolves, wolves with black and brown streaks/patches, and brown wolves with the almost "color-point" pattern where their faces and legs are darker than their main body. I'd say my "inner wolf" is black and brown.

communities and fandoms always throw me off.

Like, I see therians that are anti-furry or Furries who are anti-therian. Paperdragons hating on therians or furries or even Alt people.

But also when those parts of groups hate on the LGBTQ+ community and the other way around.

Most people that say stuff like "oh, I don't mind furries I just don't like the sexual ones" are the most FAKE people in the world. I've met some people like that, and also saw them insulting furries a second later. I'm so tired of these fake, shitty people who just put on a poker face.

I've had people come up to me, with the weirdest excuses to hate on furries

"oh, I hate them cus a furry was weird to me on Roblox"

AND? So every furry in the world is suddenly a weird Roblox player? The fuck does that mean?

WHAT? Where is it written you're supposed to wear a fursuit? The hell?

Probably like 10% of the community likes sexual stuff. And also it's in every fandom. EVERY COMMUNITY HAS A SEXUAL PART, GODDAMNIT! (Ex: Pokemon)

Amethyst — Super chill person. Would be in most people's dream blunt rotation. You're a live and let live kinda guy and I respect that, but you also have no hills you'd die on so you're not the first person anyone goes to if they need serious support. You can get away with misinterpreting this character (on purpose or accidentally) because it's hard to say things about her that most people won't just shrug at and go "yeah that sounds right I guess"

Pearl — You're annoying as hell. You see yourself in this character and that's not a good thing. Your social media presence gives off the same energy as every white woman's Instagram profile. If being a victim was a contest you'd take home the gold.

You think everyone is out to get you. They're not.

Most people who see you from a distance and don't know better think you're alright, so you're probably pretty well-liked in public. The only people you will get along with in close quarters are all walking mean lesbian stereotypes.

1) just because something is not understandable to you (mainly because of bigotry and ignorance), doesn't not mean it's a temporary thing that somebody identifies as.

We get that not everyone is able to, but we're taking a lot of joy in being more openly alterhuman. Years ago, we couldn't even talk about being trans to anyone in our IRL circles--which is a big enough issue as it is. But we've gained more confidence through IRL advocacy and social groups and so much more... We've really come a long way in being confident in ourselves and talking to people even just generally. And we're noticing a change in how we present, and what we wear and do.

We openly wear alterhuman symbols--we have an otherkin star necklace we wear any time we go outside. We have a therian sticker on our phone case and plan on more. We are planning on decorating our cane with stickers of our identities and things important to us. We want plural rings or an ampersand to wear in some way. And really, it's getting so much easier to talk about around people IRL, even if just symbols are subtle. It's euphoric to know that we're representing ourselves in an "if you know you know" way, and hell, we've met other alterhumans IRL before. Maybe someone will see these symbols and feel safer even if they don't talk to us directly.

We know we're lucky to have friends we can be safe around IRL, and so we can keep being who we are publicly without much of a safety concern. We hope that one day every alterhuman can just do whatever they want without fear of harrassment from people who hate "furries", people using transphobia against us, or alterhumisia in general.

If it's not too personal can I ask why it is you became an anti/why do you think people are anti therian etc?

I don't know if I can speak for any other anti-therians out here, and my own experience was one of a closeted alterhuman so it's going to differ...but drawing from my main experiences and other things I've observed from anti's.

I think most anti's are against even being neutral to alterhumanity for these reasons;

Alterhumanity doesn't match with their internal sense of logic (be it because they pride themselves on logical thinking, or it doesn't match their beliefs in general)

Alterhumanity has been peddled to them as corrupt in some way so despite them not seeing anything from the community themselves they believe it and reject alterhumanity

They are embarassed or angered to see 'unusual' behaviours, beliefs and codes of dress and this manifests as trying to get rid of said things often they are also against other identities which challenge the norm (can be concern based or disgust based)

They have been convinced that alterhumanity, due to it expressing a selfhood outside of the physically observable, must be inherently delusional and are either are ableist whether this is a disgust based ableism or a concern based ableism

They just aren't able to 'get' it and have learnt to reject and belittle things they don't 'get'

Misplaced furry hate

They have seen negative behaviours in the community when looking into it and thus are convinced it's toxic and nobody should get into it

They're fine with children and minors being alterhuman so long as it's seen as 'play' but reject it as a serious identity or something adults should be

They are a closeted alterhuman who can't come to terms with their identity so is lashing out at others more comfortable than themselves

They are a closeted alterhuman who has come to terms with their identity but can't receive a desired physical change so lashes out at the very idea and to those who are comfortable without a physical way of expression

They are a closeted alterhuman who has been told some of the above stuff so frequently they see it as a duty to prevent others from doing something 'bad'

They aren't alterhuman, but still because of what they've heard feel the need to 'save' people from doing a 'bad thing'
