Just a reminder to my new cotl followers: bishippers are safe here. Do I ship any of it? nope. But I personally could not give a single fuck if someone that follows me or if I follow someone that does.

4th July - Part 7 - chris sturniolo x femreader
pt1. pt2. pt3. pt4. pt5. pt6.
chris had rolled his eyes at your words, but had kissed you back passionately. when you pulled away he told you he promised he believed you both, and he respected your friendship with carrington. but you couldn’t get the niggling feeling there was something else. you remember his words. you remember him about to say something, or ask you something, when you were at top golf, and yet you couldn't bring yourself to ask him again what it was.
all you held onto was the way you'd carried on making out, him leant against your kitchen table whilst you stood between his legs, his hands roaming your ass and your thighs as you only parted to look each other and let out a laugh.
"we should probably order an uber" you had said in between kisses, he had groaned in protest before giving the back after your thighs a squeeze and pushing himself off the table.
you had finished your drinks and continued chatting as you waited, laughing at everything and anything as you shown him around your house quickly. you saw the way his eyes darkened when you showed him your bedroom, your dark sheets contrast to the white walls and all the things that made it yours. your photos of your friends, the artwork on the walls, he had took it all in with a smile.
you pull up to the bar now however, a comfortable silence on the way there as you text tara and he had rang his brothers to tell them he’d be home late, and as you step out and both stand on the sidewalk before you go inside, he looks down at your hand briefly and you can tell he’s contemplating taking hold of it.
“is it gonna be weird?” he asks, and you frown. “i mean, holding hands? i’m not going to be able to keep my hands off you after a few drinks.”
you smile. “you’ve not been able to take your hands off me sober.”
“preciously" and he moves closer to you, wrapping his arms around your waist from behind.
you smile as you spin around in his arms, wrapping your arms around his neck. "no, it wont be weird. im pretty everyone saw us at the party."
chris chuckles, but then his face alters a little. "i know, but this feels different now, don't you think?"
your hearts racing as the energy shifts. yes, this does feel different. before it had been harmless flirtatious fun, even the kiss at the party you could have likely passed off. but since you stepped foot in his house yesterday, it felt like so much more.
"yeah, it does."
he looks at you, his eyes darting around your entire face, before he takes a deep breath. you fury your brows, and he's about to open his mouth to say something but he stops, leans forward and drops you a small kiss. you go onto your tip toes, wrapping your arms around him further before pulling away.
"i could just go home, right now." you whisper, the moment of whatever he wanted to say gone. and he chuckles.
"lets go inside for a couple of drinks, and then i'll take you straight home."
you smile. "my place or yours?"
"my brothers aren't at yours."
"enough said." you smile, before spinning out of his embrace and taking his hand, smiling at a few people smoking cigarettes outside before you walk inside. the comforting smell of the small bar that you have grown to love, the chatter of people all around you.
"i feel nervous" chris whispers into your ear, and you let out a laugh.
"these are your friends too" you say.
"i know but -" and he pauses a second, causing you to look at him. and then he stops. the motion jerking you backwards as he pulls on your hand slightly. you're only a few steps into the bar, and you couldn't see your friends when your eyes first wander in here, but you give him a concerned look.
"is everything okay? are you having second thoughts?" you say, your heart in your chest slightly. was this it? was this what he was trying to say earlier, that niggling feeling in the pit of your stomach.
"no." he shakes his head. then laughs. "god, no. not at all."
your heart alters a little. "so what, chris?"
he smiles, pulling you closer to him. "i really really like you, pretty girl." he whispers. your hearts in your throat again. "like, really like you."
"chris-"
he smiles. "you don't have to say it back, its fine. i just ... want you to know."
now you're laughing, and you place your free hand on the side of his neck. "i really fucking like you too, dumbass."
he doesn't say a word, but he kisses your lips with such force you have to grip his neck to stay upright. when he lets go, he's looking at you with an expression on his face you can't read. but it's too late to ask if theres something else on his mind, because the voice of one person in particular lets you know your friends have spotted you.
"HERE THEY ARE!" the voice booms, followed by a cheer from your friends. you know all eyes are on you, its a small bar usually full of local people, yourselves included, and you blush suddenly at the thought of all the eyes on you.
"is he always like this?" chris says, diverting his eyes to the person in question.
"oh," you chuckle. "this is just the start for carrington."
and then you turn around, dragging chris with you as your eyes find the noise. you were right, heads from other tables have turned but everyone is laughing, and you let out a joking wave as you jokingly strut across to your friends, chris' chuckle loud enough for you to hear behind you.
when you reach the table, taras hands are the first to find yours as you pull away from chris, her eyes wide.
"holy fucking shit, i just watched that WHOLE thing by the door." she says, a smile on her face.
"oh, fuck. did you hear us?" you suddenly feel shy, realising you'd completely lost yourself in him.
she shakes her head. "no, but the look on your face. what did he say?"
you turn around to look at him, his arms currently wrapped around jake in a hug, before a beer is slung into his hand by carrington, who he daps up immediately.
"he really fucking likes me, apparently." you can't help the giggle that escapes you. a fucking giggle. you feel 16 again.
"oh my god" tara squeals, and then she reaches across the table and grabs you your favourite cocktail, already ready and waiting for you. you thank her with a smile and take a sip, before warm hands wrap around your waist. turning your head, you instantly roll your eyes with a laugh.
"sorry, my love. did you expect it to be lover boy?" carrington beams down at you.
"he's not my lover boy, carrington" you say, leaning forward and putting the drink down on the table again, before you spin around in carringtons embrace and properly hug him. he chuckles as he lifts you up off the floor, a squeal escaping your lips as you flick your feet up slightly.
"yeah yeah, whatever." he laughs into your ear before placing you down. "he good to you, yeah?"
"carrington" you say, smacking his arm. "we've been on two dates. calm down."
carrington rolls his eyes before he gives your waist a quick squeeze, and then he's off in the other direction. you laugh and shake your head as you turn to tara.
"how much as he had to drink?" you say, reaching forward and grabbing your own drink again.
"oh god, him and johnnie started hours ago." she rolls her eyes, but theres a smirk on her face too as she takes a sip of her drink. "anyway," she says. "back to mr sturniolo." she says with a giggle, grabbing your hand and dragging you to sit a table away from others ears.
but what you don't see is the prying eyes of chris, staring at you with a mix of what could probably look like sadness, but deep down for some reason he knows its jealousy. he takes a sip from his beer as he watches you engage with carrington, his heart jumping slightly when you spin around and embrace him in a hug, so similar to the way you just did outside with him, and he tries to wash down the feeling with a huge gulp. he feels ridiculous, because he knows you and carrington are friends. at the party, he asked you to be sure, because he'd only met carrington once before and knew how close you had become with him in just a short few months. and at your house earlier on, he was caught off guard more than anything. because fuck, chris wanted you. he wanted you so bad he would call it pathetic, actually. he had never in his life felt this way for anyone, and to see another mans hands on you made him feel queasy.
he notices you sit down with tara at a table not too far away, and he can see as you're both leant in together, laughing and giggling as the two of you talk. he hope its about him, the way even from his position he can see you're blushing slightly, but that niggling feeling in the back of his head tells him maybe it isn't.
but of course it is. the margarita tara threw in your hand is already almost gone and you know its because you're feeling giddy. tara listens as you tell her about top golf, as you tell her about the way you know damn well if carrington hadn't have called, you wouldn't be here right now and you'd have probably had sex in every corner of your house, and you admit how badly you want him, in every way possible.
when you finally walk back up to him just a few minutes later, his eyes bore yours the entire way across the small bar until you reach his side, and when you do, his arm wraps around your back and pulls you into him immediately.
"am i going to have to get used to you and tara running off together?" he says, as you replicate his arm and wrap yours arm around his front.
"im afraid, yes" you giggle, the margarita already flushing through your body. he laughs as he bends down to plant a soft kiss on your lips.
"what where you yapping about?" he asks. he knows he has no right to know, and he knows it was risky invading your privacy with such a question, but his heart rate slows down a little once you laugh and lean yourself into his side a little more.
"thats for us to know, and you to find out." you say, before pulling yourself away from him and embracing in a hug with jake and johnnie. chris gulps down the rest of his beer in one, that surge of jealousy running through his body again at the concept of you blushing over another man, and he can't help his actions for the rest of the night.
you know chris had said he wouldn't be able to take his hands off you, but you hadn't realised just how comfortable he would feel in front of all your friends. if you weren't by his side you could see him looking at you every minute or so. if you were by his side, his hand was somewhere on your body, and if you had a quiet moment alone, his lips where always on yours.
"you weren't joking about not being able to keep your hands to yourself" you whisper into his ear as you both stand at the bar now, and his head whips down to look at you immediately, a drunken haze covering his eyes, but just as he's about to say something his eyes look over your shoulder and you instantly turn around, a smile escaping you as carrington comes up close beside you.
what you hadn't caught onto, was that every time chris was staring at you, or every time he had his hands on you, was usually because carrington had had his hands on you not too long before. not that chris doesn't want to touch you anyway, cause god he really does, but he knows he'd likely be less obvious about it if carrington wasn't here too. and he doesn't know why, and he cannot control the way he feels, but maybe its because as much as he wants you, you technically aren't actually his, and you were free to do what you wanted, and those irrational thoughts in his head told him that carrington could likely have you in one swift motion.
"what can i get my girl to drink?" carrington asks, nudging your shoulder. he's far beyond drunk at this point but you do admire the way he can handle himself. you ignore the pet name, at this point this just feels normal for the two of you, but you don't ignore the way chris' fingers start to trace lines against your arm. carrington looks to the side of you and see's chris, and then leans into your ear. "and whats lover boy drinking?"
"carrington" you say, giving his arm a nudge which only erupts him into laughter, which you can't help but follow suit.
chris hand now lands against your elbow, and you feel as he shifts his position slightly so he's standing a little behind you, the corner of his hip pressing into the small of your back.
carrington laughs at you, nudging you back before looking back towards the bar. the barmaid looks at him and is walking over within seconds, and you roll your eyes.
"you dont even need to say anything, that charm of yours is insane" you say, you and chris had been stood here for maybe only two minutes prior, but there was no denying carringtons overall aura always got peoples attention quicker.
"what can i say, baby?" he mocks, giving you a wink.
in the same breath, chris' hip is no longer connected with the small of your back, but instead both his hands are pulling you backwards, slamming you into his chest tightly, before his hands snake around and lift up your t-shirt, a little, letting his thumbs rest just above your waistband.
you're about to turn to look at him, his touch sending goosebumps all around your body, when you feel his mouth close to your ear.
"tell him we're going home" he whisper, and you spin your head around to look at him, his eyes boring into carrington at just the time you hear him speak.
"what you both having?" you hear carrington say, and then it hits you. the touching. the almost clingy behaviour, is because of carrington. a small smirk plays on your lips, before you turn around to meet carringtons eyes.
"i think we're going to head off, actually" you say, and chris dips his finger into the waistband of your jeans after your words. carrington looks you over, before he shrugs and turns back around, paying for the drink he just ordered for himself.
you twist your position ever so slightly to look at chris, and he gives you a smile as he finally removes his hands from your body, a satisfied look across his face.
and its so obvious. he's jealous. he's been jealous all night.
you hadn't paid much attention, but it makes sense. you can't deny that you and carrington are touchy with each other. carringtons love language is most defiantly touch and sometimes you can't help yourself but touch him back. the soft brushes of your hand on his, the random hugs, the shoulder nudges, the close proximity and hand on shoulder as you spoke into each others ear. to you both, and to your friends, its completely platonic, but the reality kicks that regardless of what you say to chris, he still doesn't fully believe you. or maybe he does, and he's trying to prove a point.
when carrington finally turns back around, a drink in hand. you test the waters. you smile, stepping forward away from chris' body, and immediately wrap your arms around carringtons neck. he's drunk and he's simply just carrington, so he throws his arm around your waist. but you cling a little longer than you usually would, before you pull away, dragging your hands down his arms slowly as you do so. a smirk erupts over carringtons face as he holds onto your waist.
"thank you for a great evening" you say, before flicking your hair across your shoulder.
chris laughs behind you.
"you know you're my favourite lady" carrington says, giving your waist a small squeeze. you shrug, acting like its not big deal, and then you finally pull away, turning yourself around to face chris. he's looking at you with such an intense look you can only smirk. his gaze is cut off by carrington, who's holding out his hand to chris to shake it, and you lean back against the bar, arching your back a little so your t-shirt pulls up slightly, and you dim your eyes to look at them both.
"nice to see you man," carrington say, and chris smiles.
"you too"
and then carringtons walking back off over to your group, and chris watches him before he finally divert his eyes to you. you push yourself off the bar, a smirk on your face as you met him in the middle, but you don't touch him.
"you are unbelievable when you are jealous" you say. he smirks.
"and you are unbelievable when you are trying to get a reaction out of me."
you shrug. "i've not idea what you're talking about."
he grabs your hand, pulling you closer to him as he fingers come up to your chin as he nudges you so you're forced to look up at him. your hearts in your mouth as he runs his thumb along your bottom lip.
"remember what i said to you, before i fucked you. in my bed, let me remind you." he eventuates the my and it triggers your memory. but you keep your face neutral, and you look out a shrug. he smirks.
"i said, and quote, oh youre so mine after this"
of course you remembered. how could you forget? that particular sentenced had replayed in your head a 100 times since it happened just yesterday. you smile.
"ah, yes. you never followed up though, did you? it was just words."
he scoffs. "just words?" his grip on your jaw get tighter and you're melting. you're going to literally die under his touch if this teasing and this flirting doesn't end and his lips don't touch yours within the next 20 seconds. but you can't stop yourself.
"i don't recall a moment of you officially making me yours. so from my eyes, im a free woman." but you're looking at him so intensely, that its impossible to miss the way his face switches slightly, and suddenly you're no longer wanting to flirt and you're scared that actually, you've taken it too far. maybe it was too much. you wanted him so bad it was killing you, actually, and you were most defiantly not a free woman. but then he laughs, and he presses his forehead to yours as he drops his hand from your jaw, grabbing hold of your free hand so now both your hands are clasped together.
"i did not want to do this drunk" he starts, and you fear he can hear your heartbeat from here. "i tried to do it earlier, at top golf, but we got interrupted and i felt stupid"
"what, chris?" you say, and you hope he doesn't hear the little shake in your voice. he smiles, pulling his head away from yours and twisting your hands around so he's not just holding them, but he's interlocked each finger with his own.
"i tried to do it earlier, too. but carrington interrupted us and i thought no, maybe this isn't the right time."
"what, chris?" you say again. and he laughs, throwing his head back a little before looking back at you.
"will you actually, genuinely, be mine? i know its quick, but i'm so certain about you. like actually so certain. the way i've felt today watching you, its not normal. so please, will you by my girl?"
you're going to combust, there and then. you don't have words as you crash your lips to his. he's taken by surprise, at first, but then his hands unlock from yours and they're straight to your hair, and your hands are on his waist as you try and reach on your tip toes to kiss him deeper. but its impossible, so you pull away, both breathless slightly, and theres a sweet crimson twinge to his cheeks.
"is that a yes?" he says, and you laugh. you laugh so hard as you throw your arms around his neck.
"of course its a yes, dumbass."
he chuckles as he throws his arms around your back, his thumbs rubbing against you as you linger in his touch for a second, and suddenly being at the bar is the last place you want to be. your mind going to just a few moments before, when he told you to tell carrington you were going home, and you're giddy on top of the already giddy feeling.
"come back to mine, right now" you say, and suddenly his gaze turns different.
"im right behind you" he whispers, before he places a soft kiss on your lips.
and you turn around, oblivious to your friends and not even thinking about saying goodbye, as you drag chris by the hand and outside into the fresh air.

Poor Things
First of all, Emma Stone’s performance is as good as everybody is saying. Stone takes a very difficult role that easily could have gone very, very wrong and makes it look like the most effortless thing in the world.
I have been looking at the reviews, good and bad, and I think that the minority of people who didn’t vibe with this movie had slightly skewed expectations.
Poor Things starts out at Tetsuo The Iron Man levels of fucked up, but by the end it has dropped to Edward Scissor hands levels of fucked up. This is probably plenty of weirdness for the average movie-goer, but true connoisseurs of mondo cinema should calibrate their expectations.
Second, apparently this is being talked up as a sort of feminist coming of age fable chronicling an everywoman’s sexual awakening and liberation, and it really isn’t that, and I think if you are hoping for that you’ll come away disappointed.
Better, I think, to look at it as an autistic coming of age fable and power fantasy, which I think it does a tremendous job at.
Very minor spoilers under the cut; really, this is more an essay about what I thought the film was about than a review, my review would be that it's somehow simultaneously a feel-good crowd-pleaser AND a movie where an adult woman with the brain of a toddler stabs the eyes out of a corpse with a scalpel and then plays with its penis (I wasn't kidding with the Tetsuo comparison)
Honestly now that I've actually written that out I have maybe underestimated how impressive it is that Yorgos Lanthimos made a movie where that happens on screen but somehow basically everybody loves the movie.
In terms of sex, we do watch Bella discover sex, but she very quickly comes to a conclusion about her relationship with it which never once changes throughout the rest of the movie:
She likes it, she likes it more with an attractive partner, she is utterly lacking in any kind of sexual jealousy, and she doesn't attach too much more to it than that.
This is an odd comparison, but Bella treats sex the way Joey did on Friends. A man acting this way is a sitcom cliche, but a woman acting the same way…
This is a film that is really, really not interested in the real-world consequences of this kind of sex; in fact, given that a pregnancy is the inciting incident of the film, it came off a little weird to me that the possibility of a pregnancy or STD was never really addressed (unless there was a line or two that I missed while I was in the bathroom).
For the most part, though, I was able to get past it by just thinking of it as a heightened world. The sets and settings are extremely artificial, and ultimately I figured, “Hey, if I can buy this kind of thing as harmless and fun in a sitcom, I can buy it in this other kind of heightened reality.
I will say, I don't think Bella is meant to be an every-woman, and that there's textual support for this in the film itself.
All of the women Bella deals with in some way question her approach to sex, making it clear, sometimes through explicit dialog, other times more reading between the lines, that her approach to sex is not for them.
If there’s any particularly feminist message in the film, it’s that when confronted with Bella’s bizarre approach to the world, none of the women get angry at her, and most of the men she meets do.
But Bella’s relationships with other women aren’t really the meat of the film, that’s more about her relationship with men, and particularly the way that they feel, deep in their bones, that they should have control over any woman that they have sex with.
Duncan Wedderburn, when he first discovers Bella and convinces her to go away with him, thinks he is tricking and seducing a beautiful naif who he can use and then discard when he tires of her. Their relationship disintegrates as it becomes clear that Bella hasn’t been tricked at all; she wanted exactly what he was able to give, a chance to sow her wild oats by having some no strings attached sex with an attractive, likable person in an exciting foreign city.
This makes Wedderburn increasingly unhappy and unhinged (He says at one point that he has become what he hates, a “grasping succubus”) much to Bella’s growing consternation. She has no idea why he can’t simply be happy having sex with her and otherwise letting her do what she wants, and he is so committed to a certain vision of gender roles that he can’t even begin to explain it, he can only lash out in frustration.
And that I think is the meatier part of the film; Bella doesn’t so much flout social expectations as she is simply totally unaware that they exist.
Honestly I think the character isn’t so much coded as autistic as she just is autistic. Bella is a woman who is basically totally unaware of social expectations and constantly taken aback to discover that they exist.
More than that, she has to figure out a way to work around the fact that many of the people who become most enraged by her are also so totally lacking in self-reflection, and view their social situation as so normal, so self-evidently obvious that they cannot explain to her why it is she has made them angry. They suddenly fly into rages that clearly perplex Bella and which they themselves don’t even bother to explain, because they regard their own ideas as self-evident.
Bella is an idealized autistic hero; personally as outlandish as she is I don’t really think the film expects us to take the side of anybody else, and I think there are some fairly subtle and accurate bits of autistic behavior on her part.
She responds to life as a kind of social experiment, attempting to parse out a set of logical rules and, especially in the latter parts of the movie, she often justifies her actions with a perfectly sensible internal logic that the emotional men in her life can’t parse out. Late in the film, when she and Wedderburn are destitute, she prostitutes herself for 30 francs, and with implacable logic, explains the two reasons that Wedderburn ought to be quite happy she has done so: First, her john was much worse at sex than Wedderburn, which ought to satisfy his ego, and second, they now have 30 francs and the potential to earn more.
Wedderburn does not appreciate her logical approach.
Another thing that strikes me as very true is that Bella has a very odd theory of mind for other people. There’s a scene where, traumatized by the unspeakable poverty and suffering she sees in Alexandria, she puts all of Wedderburn’s money in a box and rushes out to give it to the poor. Unfortunately the ship is leaving, but two port attendants tell her that they will be staying on the island, and would be happy to deliver a package. She tells them that she has a big box filled with money and they should give it to the island’s poor, and they agree to do so. Now, the film never tells us one way or another whether they keep their word; but Bella herself retains an iron certainty that they did exactly what she asked them to. Now, we know Bella understands what lying and deceit are, because we’ve seen her trick people before, like when she chloroforms McCandles to run away with Wedderburn. But it never once occurs to her that these sailors might do something similar. Call it paradoxical, but that kind of thinking is common in autistic people.
There’s also the scene where the self-professed cynic Harry Astley shows her the suffering in Alexandria; he admits, when he sees how terribly it has affected her, that he didn’t tell her simply because he thought it was the truth of the world, but that her attitude made him angry, and he wanted to hurt her. A very common part of the autistic coming of age is the slow realization that not everything people tell you is part of a dispassionate, scientific search for the truth.
There’s also a scene in a whorehouse in which Bella argues that it would make more sense to have the women decide who is to sleep with the johns, so that then the john could be more confident that the girl was attracted to him, which he must doubt if he chooses. You can tell I’m autistic because I immediately had the thought, “Well, but the johns would probably be worried that nobody would choose them.”
One of Bella’s fellow working girls instead tells her, “Some of them like the fact that we don’t have a choice”.

Okay but now what if how you designed Remus but in as many words as you want, because I'm loving these design breakdowns
Tumblr media
HELL YEAH!
Remus to me is full of chaos but he is also the antithesis of Roman with similar qualities but a total lack of self consciousness or bashfulness. He is freedom and he gives no shits.
Inspiration 1: Mad Madam Mim
Tumblr media Tumblr media
I start with a disney character full of chaos and I am inspired by mad Madam Mim because she is wild and chaotic and i absolutely love how fun she is as a villain and the most important thing for me is that Remus is fun. He's bonkers and has terrible ideas but he's also harmless in terms of reality. He's like an annoying little brother that wants to show you the Weird Gunk he found in the trash.
Inspiration 2: Snidley Whiplash (or Dick Dastardly)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Remus to me is a guy who knows a lot of things and he's actually really clever but he wants to BE a villain like Snidley Whiplash or Dick Dastardly, including the moustache. He wants to tie people to train tracks because it's fun. His personality is "I found the dynamite and the roller skates! :D"
Inspiration 3: Wile E Coyote and looney tunes as a concept
Tumblr media Tumblr media
If Remus is anything it's a creature that can be stabbed in the eye and come back fine. It's a person who can make acme-like contraptions that do not work and that's ok. He is, if nothing else, Wile E Coyote and he is having the time of his life. He should therefore have hair that is a littler wild and crazy and untamable like Wile E's tail.
Inspiration 3: Royal villains
We will look at Galavant and also OUaT again!
Tumblr media Tumblr media
There's nothing quite as detailed in costume as evil royal villains. They always seem to be the most extravagant or at least have all the buckles and things and Remus has an outfit just the same. Like Roman I want his royalty to show with his clothes but unlike Roman I want Remus to look way less put together. More a culmination of his clothes he chooses to wear but only because he HAS to wear something so he's going to show skin.
Particularly though the one I associate with Remus is Captain Hook from Once Upon a Time.
Inspiration 4: Captain Hook / Pirate aesthetics
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Roguish, half-opened shirt, details, dressed fancy, swashbuckling. Remus would make a great pirate because he has the swagger and charm of a drunken man sailing a boat with a pet giant octopus he calls Lil Pussy.
Speaking of octopus...
Inspiration 5: Kraken and hentai
Tumblr media
He has an octopus on his belt and he deserves tentacles for a pirate feel but also for fuckin. Cause he's a raunchy bastard. Anything taboo is something he wants to think about.
Inspiration 6: Punk aesthetic
Tumblr media Tumblr media
What easier way top buck against the norms than to embrace punk vibes? Jewelry, upside-down crosses, I don't like going overboard with it but I like giving him some. Fingerless gloves, chokers with spikes, those kinds of things work well for his "I am everything your religious grandmother hates, embrace it". His outfits that aren't standard could look like he made them himself or found them in the garbage and went "awesome!"
Inspiration 7: Weapon Master
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Remus likes to hit things with his mace and while Roman has his sword, I imagine Remus is an expert at weapons or at least likes to use them so even if I am going to dress him up nice I want a weapon nearby somewhere.
Things that are a must:
So many details, Remus will not leave your eyeballs alone. If you think Roman has details nope, Remus wants your eyes to bleed with them.
Remus should have longer hair than Roman, wilder bangs and wilder curls. Shorter hair is fine but a ponytail is even more fun. Like the tie holding it'll break at any moment.
Weapons galore, arm this baby at every opportunity. Likewise, scars are acceptable but it's ok if they disappear at random because chaos loves chaos.
If Remus has his main garb off he should be showing skin to the best of his abilities and his collar should drape down wider than normal because let that man be a slut.
Tentacles should be numerous when shown and they should have a mind of their own doing whatever they want.
If Roman wouldn't wear it, Remus would. If Roman wouldn't think it, Remus would, and if Roman would be disgusted, Remus would love it.
Remus should have annoying little brother vibes.
Any non-standard outfits should look like he cobbled them together with duct tape and chewing gum.
So I came to this:

Hello! I have some questions for you, if you don't mind.
What does transspecies mean to you?
How did you discover you were transspecies?
How do you feel about the myth that transspecies makes fun of transgender people?
How do you feel about the idea that transspecies should not be used or people who are transspecies should stay hidden because it can be used against the transgender community
(A controversial one) Why did rad-q takeover the transspecies term, how does that effect the alterhuman community, and how do you feel about it?
Hi thank you sm for asking hehe :3 I love getting to talk about this stuff (and knowing that others are interested in hearing about it lol)
Long ass post below the cut
1. To me, transspecies is the rawest, most direct way for me to express my nonhumanity. It cuts through a lot of the vagueness and nuance of some other nonhuman labels (not that there's anything wrong with that ofc) and gets straight to the point: Im not entirely human and want to be acknowledged as such by my peers and society at large. It emphasizes my desire to move through life as nonhuman, and that there's absolutely nothing wrong with that. I also like that it challenges the narrative of human superiority and the idea that species identity is purely biology based. For me personally, it also ties into my experience with being transgender, as I often see my gender as being partially nonhuman. Many things that are gender affirming are also species affirming and vice versa. But obviously you don't have to be transgender to be transspecies, one of my irl packmates and close friend is cisgender transspecies and she's awesome <3
2. It wasn't so much a "discovery" for me. My transspecies identity is very closely tied to my therianthropy, the species I identify as and see myself transitioning into are also all kintypes. So after I realized I was a therianthrope, it was kind of just a slow realization that it was also a label that fit my experiences well. Like most alterhumans I had heard the word used as a weapon against transgender people and alterhumans, so I had a very negative perception of it for a long time. I think the first time I ever heard it referred to in a not-outright-negative sense was in PDTherians "Trans-species?!" youtube video (which I do not recommend as a source of education at all it's a very flawed video that's riddled with misinformation) a few years back, and from there I slowly started to open up to the idea and yeah. The rest is history pretty much lol
3. To some degree I actually can empathize with the stance because I used to be in the same camp, and I know from experience that for a lot of folks it's just well intentioned but misplaced passion of trans liberation. But at the same time it's still a harmful belief and one I grew out of because I matured and learned more about the communities I was part of. Anytime you cast judgement onto a group of people with a harmless identity/belief/interest for the sole purpose of "they're too weird", that harms everyone, not just that group. In this case, hatred against transspecies folks implies that there is a right and a wrong way to be queer/trans, which is harmful not only to nonhumans but to all queer individuals.
4. I think it's bullshit lmao. Shying away from it and outcasting the people who use it does absolutely nothing but divide us further and make us an easier target for discrimination. Categorizing it as a community taboo just turns it into ammunition for transphobes and anti-alterhumans alike. Turning against each other and fighting over stupid shit like labels is exactly what oppressors want, a house divided against itself cannot stand. It also just doesn't make sense, species identity is socially constructed, similar to gender, so why should people be forbidden from using a word to describe that experience just because it's misunderstood?
5. I honestly have no idea why radqueers do anything at all lmaoooo. But if I had to guess, I think it's because on some level, they know that nobody with any semblance of social education or moral compass is ever going to be on board with their beliefs, so instead of trying to fight a losing battle they just barge their way into other small, marginalized, and outcasted groups (alterhuman, altage, paraphiles, etc.) and try to claim them as "part of them". It's a lot easier to tell a group of people "Hey you guys are actually just like us so you need to support our ideology because otherwise you're just fighting against yourself" than it is to try to convince them from scratch that you're not a horrible person.
As for how it's impacted the alterhuman community, Im not entirely sure but luckily I think its effects have been fairly minimal thus far. The alterhuman community is significantly bigger and older than the rq community, I've only ever run into rqs on Tumblr and even here Ive met transspecies folks who had never heard of radqueers before. I think its biggest impacts have been on the transspecies niche specifically, since they often try to lump it in with transid's like "transrace" and "transharmful", which leads to the assumption from outsiders that they're inherently connected and that all transspecies folks agree with those stances as well. But I think as transspecies and alterhumanity as a whole slowly becomes less stigmatized and more widely understood over time, that belief will also fade and die off.
Sorry for the massive text wall lmao, I hope that wasn't too much info. But again thank you sm for asking ^^ I think it's super important that folks out there are interested in learning more about this stuff and that alterhumans are able to communicate their experiences to one another <3

yall I'm being so serious right now you have GOT to be less weird about the way people speak. This isn't even just about accents or whatever, this is about EVERYTHING!
I say mountain funny, apparently. I say it "moun'n." Now that's just cuz it's how we speak where I was raised. I say a lot of things funny, apparently. I speak very fast, I stutter and stumble over my words. Sometimes I say the words entirely wrong or swap the syllables around. Why is this a problem?
I don't have to deal with bullying on this, but I do notice people making little jokes here and there about it. Mostly harmless. But when I am constantly hearing those jokes when I say the wrong word or I trip up on it, when it's every single time, it starts to feel really bad. You start to feel guilty for opening your mouth.
For some reason I think far too often we normalize making jokes jabbing at dialects or manners of speaking. If someone speaks "wike dis" then they're viewed as dumber. When someone has a "hick" accent then they're dumber. When a POC speaks in slang then they're dumber. Actually, when a POC speaks with even a slight accent they're dumber, too.
We have all these images of these ways of speaking. And for some reason it's okay to poke fun at them. But these are genuinely beautiful differences i think we should embrace. Your voice is a little piece of home you carry with you everywhere, how you speak shows who you were raised by and where. That should not be shameful! That should be celebrated!
So why is it okay to poke fun at these things? Why?

Hey, guys, while I was determined to not drag the Otipep again, people brought a situation with Empanada and Mariana. I would be a hypocrite to not talk about it. I remember watching this stream but I will be honest, I don't remember this incident, I maybe was doing something else and lost this part, I don't remember.
Mariana said he felt a bit awkard and Em came out a bit mean, which is fair and I think Cherry should have handle it better.
But I just want to explain something that I think people are interpreting kinda weird? At least in my opinion. People are talking about this sign and are saying Empanada is making fun of Mariana for being umcomfortable about the "i love you" situation. But that is not what happend
Tumblr media
Mouse taught Empanada to say "coño", that is a common swear word in Puerto Rico (like damn or fuck) but can mean "cunt" and is consider a more heavy swear word in other hispanic countries.
I think Empanada and Mariana were talking about words she has learned with her mothers, Empanada said "coño" and Mariana hit her, and Empanada hit him back after. It looked very harmless, at least for me, it didn't seems like he was super umcomfortable but I am not a Mariana viewer and not overly familiar the form he express himself, and if someone might want to educate me about it, you can do it. And for Empanada admin that only had his voice and not his face to go by, it probably also sounded like he wasn't taking it too serioursly but again that is my interpretation.
Also to be clear, Empanada didn't called Mariana "coño", they were talking about the words she learned and she mention the word, it was not directed at him (at least for what I remember). It was not the same situation of Otipep of the admin cursing at the cc while out of character.
So when Empanada went to talk with Bad she said that to him. BBH even asked her what she said, and she wrote the word "coño", that even resulted in the infamous "cunt" clip of Badboyhalo while he used the text-to-speak translator.
[Found the clip on this post and thank you, neon, for helping me to find it]
While I am okay with critizing Cherry for the way she handle the "i love you" situation I think we shouldn't spread misinformation of what her sign was, it was about an unrelated thing.
Mariana however said to not make a big deal out of the "i love you" situation, and I will leave it mostly like that.
If you feel like a a misintrepert or misrepresented anything, please feel free to tell me or educate me about something I miss. Any Mariana viewer that watched the stream and has their own opinions about it, please feel free to send me an ask.
I think Cherry could apologize about the incident and move on because as far as I can tell it wasn't the same "degree" of insulting that happend with Otipep.
I couldn't find the clip of the incident, if someone has it, please send me or coment it in this post and I will edit it to include the clip so it is easier for everyone to find.

Why do I see so many people hating on chubby Kyle and saying it doesn’t make any sense? They say, “He's fatphobic! He makes fun of Cartman for being fat! He can't be chubby!” But then they go on and headcanon Stan as being chubby, even though there's more proof of Kyle being chubbier when he's a kid than Stan. (I'm aware post-COVID Stan is chubby, but I'm talking about the kids.)
The same people who tell me my headcanon makes zero sense and that I “made it out of nowhere” (which I didn't—even if I did, why does that matter?) say chubby Stan is so canon, and it makes sense. When your excuse is “Kyle makes fun of Cartman for being fat!”—uhm, Stan does too? What the hell. Can you just let me headcanon something without trying to find something wrong with it? If you don’t like my headcanon, leave me alone. It’s my comfort headcanon. It makes me happy.
“Kyle's probably really buff, though, because he plays basketball.” Stan plays baseball? But you use all this stuff to prove me wrong. Let people have fun. And yes, I do have proof for Kyle being chubby. If you can’t let me have fun with a headcanon, leave me alone and block me. Here’s my PERSONAL proof for MYSELF (you dont have to agree, this is shit that makes it more real to me), so you all can stop saying I made it up from nothing.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
And no, i dont headcanon Kyle as taller, then that would mean his height would be why he weighs almost as much as Kyle. I hc him as short.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Btw, this isn't hate for the chubby Stan headcanon. I would feel the same way if someone was being an asshole to people for headcanoning that. I'm just pissed about this. Just let people have fun. wtf. i only hate a hc if it's stereotyping, just weird, or some shit like that.
i just think ppl should stop attacking ppl for harmless headcanons in general.
I am aware that being weak and non-athletic is a stereotype, but I don't portray him like that in my AU. I don't make him weak or unable to defend himself. I understand he's strong, but I just don't make him the strongest in the class. I feel like he's the third strongest. He's not weak at all, and he is athletic. I headcanon him as a jock.
"Well, then how is he chubby?" Chubby people can be strong and athletic. I don't have any negative intentions behind this.
I like adding my personal insecurities onto characters.
There's actual evidence to support this headcanon.
If you don't like it, just leave me alone and block me. It's my comfort hc, and I'm really attached to it. Don't harass me for a headcanon.
Also, why do people think that when I say 'twink Kyle,' I mean the regular Canon Kyle? What the fuck… I'm referring to him being sexualized and people making him into A TWINK. LMAO and making him not able to defend himself.
I swear to God, if you don't like it, leave me alone. Don't harass me over a fucking headcanon. That's really weird. I'm 13, just go away. I'm seriously considering leaving Tumblr because you guys can't handle a fucking headcanon. i don't want to be in fucking drama OVER MY HEADCANON.

How people are trying to change fandom (the rise of hatred against non-canon media)
This was inspired by the rise of backlash against the "Rhysta" ship.
Traditionally throughout the history of fandom spaces on social media, a very important factor has been creativity of course. Art and Fics by fans being the backbone of a fandom. Including non-canon ships, Aus, etc. And of course there was drama (when is there not drama?) BUT there wasn't as much hate because there was an understanding that it's not REAL. People in fandoms understood creativity and thinking outside the box (canon)
But something interesting happened in 2020 with the pandemic, people who weren't apart of fandom spaces started joining cause what else were you going to do? but there started the divide. These people wouldn't have joined fandoms originally because they didn't have that sort of creativity. Which isn't a bad or negative thing, everyone is different and that what makes the world go around, but these people were not used to fandom spaces and that divergency. To them, things have to be how it was written and non-canon things, ships or au's that can't hurt you or become canon, were blasphemous. Because why change the foundation if you liked the original media? this also ties into the "why do you read or interact with this media?" questions when people engage with media in their own way even if they dislike the majority of it. which is valid to do, I do it personally with acotar. I dislike the majority of acotar from the way it's written to lots of the characters, but I interact with a certain subset of the fandom that shares a love for the same characters as I.
But these people, these mostly neurotypical, TikTok people, intrude into these safe creative spaces and cause a ruckus over non-canon Aus and ships. for no reason! Ships like Rhysta are harmless, of course people who make and consume this media don't think it's going to be real, and that's the misconception! Making and consuming non-canon media doesn't mean you think it's going to happen or want it to happen, it's just existing. existing for the sake of existing and stretching creative muscles. You can't grow as an artist if you do not break from the mold, from the restraints of canon.
What you are doing by constantly harassing and posting shit about non-canon media is showing you lack a fundamental understanding of Fandom. Policing what people do is a fruitless endeavor. of course, calling out actually problematic creators is okay, when what they're doing is actually harmful and not them being creative or God forbid, a little weird.
There has been and still needs to be respect in the places. Filtering tags for things that upset you and blocking creators you disagree with is key to being someone people will actually listen to and respect. If you refuse to do that, no one you harass, or attack will take you seriously. and maybe that's not your objective but that means you're going to be blocked on main and made fun of. And this segment is somewhat targeted at someone who has been consistently harassing my mutuals, but I've seen so many people like this and it's a real issue. And its such an issue in Booktok popular books and shows, and media that becomes popular with the masses.
Fandom spaces aren't meant to follow canon to a T. People will have non-canon ships, opinions on how they think the series should have gone, opinions on characters, etc. Constantly harassing and targeting creators won't change that.
I know this won't stop this behavior, it will continue to happen but it's been bothering me and maybe this will change some people's minds on how they interact with the media they like, and they hate.
I love rhysta, I think that the dynamic is very interesting and that people are free to explore that and say whatever they want about how it could have gone in canon. None of that means i think its going to happen or that it should. Lord, people are just having fun. Like they should in fandom places.

some friends and i were discussing this a couple days ago and i've been thinking about it since but like. it really is depressing how many people you see on this site (specifically in a fan/fandom context but probably also applicable in general) who will post about how no one wants to interact with them/they wish they had people to talk to etc. and you know it's because they're a huge jackass and brought it on themselves. like, yeah. i'm sure there are some people who are feeling that way for reasons totally out of their control and they're isolated through no fault of their own. but nine times out of ten you go to their blogs and find out they're one of those "i'm constantly posting inflammatory nonsense about strangers over harmless fandom opinions" or "i like to huff my own farts and think that no one is as smart as me" people and it's like. we have a thriving little discord/Heisen-centric community rn that we built because we are all nice to each other. and supportive. and even if we disagree on certain interpretations we don't try to dunk on each other or prove the other person wrong. we enjoy the diversity and we enjoy having both intense conversations about canon analysis as well as silly little self indulgent discussions based on nothing but vibes. and it is genuinely a little sad to think that there are other people who could be having fun and making connections with us but they just can't get over themselves and their weird "moral/intellectual high ground" nonsense! idk. just one of those wild "actually if you are awful to be around and super rude/mean to people you will not have friends" moments that you feel like should be super obvious. and yet.

newsflash: people reblog objectively correct posts without knowing the CROSS SITE DISCOURSE of OP all the time. she didn’t fucking know who op was until people told her (which you can do if you care, instead of calling someone a pedo supporter behind her back). she has been vocal about not supporting rape or pedophilia, and yet your dumbass posts are talking about her linking ‘’’loliporn’’’ to being queer for literally no reason aside from one reblog that lacked context. everyone has blind spots, yet for this single one of hers, one that she has clarified her stance on over and over, you say all this about her supporting whatever sex crime feels easiest to accuse her of! the least you can do is apologize
even if she didn't reblog from an actual pedophile i still would made fun of her for agreeing with a post that said "you're a fake queer if you don't support incest fantasies" cause even if that's not morally abhorrent that's a still a fucking stupid thing to say. i never even straight up called her a pedophile i said she "thought loliporn was queer expression" which was just a roundabout way of saying "she reblogged and added on to a post that said "don't say your pro kink if you don't support ageplay, , or incest fantasies" but apparently there's a such a wild difference between "loliporn" and "age play and incest fantasies" that she views the former as such a wild condemnation but the latter is perfectly harmless and not even worth caring about.
like again even if the original post she reblogged wasn't written by an actual pedophile i would of still made fun of her (while keeping censoring her name which i did but that didn't seem to work i guess) for it because it's a bad fucking post. i made fun of it actually way before i even saw her stupid stardew valley post. i made a post talking about how it's perfectly fine to have standards between "weird kinks that are perfectly fine that you should probably ignore" and "weird kinks that are actually potentially harmful" because i think not having any standards with "people's fantasies" as if they inherently exist in a vacuum in really dumb! and bad!
but i think i do need to stress that i did not know she was a trans woman when i made my post, and in fact i have made similar posts about people who were cis women or cis men or trans men or non binary, people of all genders and sexualities, that had bad opinions on incest kink. there was this pretty popular cis gay bara artist who drew alot of incest porn and porn of underaged male characters (but "aged up") and it honestly made me uncomfortable but i kind of bit my tongue because they were popular and i didn't want to rock the boat, and than later they got called for having a sideblog where they drew actually straight up toddler porn and than i didn't feel so bad about being suspicious.
so bascially i do not think she's a pedophile, i never thought she was a pedophile, i made a post vagueing her for having a bizzare take on a video game while thinking that "loliporn" was something worth defending because she reblogged and agreed with a post saying "don't say you love kinks and sex freaks if you aren't supportive of actual sex freaks who enjoy ageplay, and incest shipping" and i assumed loliporn was included in that, because why wouldn't it be, it's "fictional age play" if she doesn't think loliporn is good that's great but weird with her reblogging and agreeing with said post, but basically no i don't think she's a pedophile. i think she just has a really bad opinions. if she thinks actual pedophilia is bad that's wonderful great, noble peace prize, but if she still think "incest and ageplay fantasies" are "above criticism" because some queer people have them. uh no i disagree, i don't think she's a "bad person" for having them but uh. not that's really dumb

It's really telling, that for people that are not online, seeing a fursuit is usually met with delight. Like, "Oh, what an adorable animal costume! What a cute character!" and if the furry in person is dancing, or painting, or playing an instrument, you can also expect "They are so talented!" or "That's amazing!"
But people who know (or think they know) what a furry is are often grossed out or scared to see a fursuit. Because the word "furry" and the whole subculture has been equated online to a fetish-- and let me be clear here, there is nothing wrong with furry porn or fetishes or human sexuality. That is all amazing stuff. But what I mean to say is that there isn't anything inherently sexual about a person wearing a fursuit, or pretty much any other costume, for that matter.
And to see furries online get harassed for their hobby, for absolutely no reason, because society has decided they are degenerate; it's painful. That the first reaction someone has upon seeing furry forms of art is not to think "Wow, that's beautiful! That's nice!" or even just "That's odd, I don't get it," but to be disgusted, repulsed. To cringe.
God forbid people have fun. God forbid they find joy doing something even slightly weird. God forbid they indulge the human desire to create art tell stories and play pretend.
Hating people for something this harmless shouldn't be normalized as much as it is. Hating on furries should not be the expected behaviour. And I'm just really, really sad that it is.

Hello! We know that Lilia is a war general in the past. What do you think about Lilidia but with the plot where Idia somehow got time travelled to the past and meet the war general Lilia? If you don't mind sharing it, do you have any HC about their dynamics? Also, as a fellow lilidia shipper, I want to say that I really really LOVE your Lilidia contents. I want to thank you for making such great Lilidia contents! It's always fills me with joy seeing your great art <3
Hi Anon! First of all, thank you very much, and you’re welcome! I am very happy to provide Lilidia content and that there are people who are into this ship and send us asks about them. These two are amazing, and I’m glad you’re enjoying them.
Second of all, this is suuuuch a good idea and we’ve actually discussed it quite a bit. It’s fun on so many levels: poor Idia gets isekai’d in the worst way possible, gets to meet young and feral Lilia; all the possibilities for their interactions depending on the status of their relationships in Idia’s original timeline…
Oh, all the thoughts that we have are based on this art that I drew some time ago, so general Vanrouge looks pretty much the same as the Lilia we know and love (we aren’t sure how different he looked when he was younger, so it varies with us lol).
So ahem, I’ll share a few thoughts.
Regardless of how close these two are when Idia gets sent to the past and meets general Vanrouge, Idia is going to feel relief when he sees him. He is probably pretty confused and frankly scared of the whole thing, so a seeing a familiar face feels like a miracle.
The miracle won’t last for long though, because Lilia wouldn’t know who Idia is and wouldn’t be friendly with him at all. Younger Lilia is much more aggressive and brutal, and what he sees is an intruder in a weird armor that Lilia doesn’t recognize.
What Lilia would realise pretty soon though is that Idia is a Shroud, and he’s heard a lot about Shrouds, but hasn’t seen a single one in his life. So, once he realises that Idia is completely harmless and scared shitless, he’ll get quite intrigued and frankly excited by him.
Idia is going to be so shocked watching this version of Lilia. It’s like watching someone who looks like Lilia, but acts like a completely different person: like a brute and a meathead, who could chug a whole bottle (of…is it wine? is it blood?) in seconds. But at the same time, despite not liking meatheads, Idia would kind of feel drawn to him. Maybe it’s because he feels safe now that Lilia is kind of on his side, maybe it’s because despite being strong and aggressively masculine, Lilia is actually quite smart, a great strategist, and a very charismatic person. Sometimes it even feels like Idia is talking to Crimson Muscle…what a weird and completely random thought.
Lilia is definitely going to laugh at Idia’s armor. It looks super heavy, and yet it’s so thin that it’s completely useless. Lilia’s armor, in contrast, is actually quite light, but sturdy. Idia is going to sigh because it’s impossible to explain to general Vanrouge that he is just cosplaying as a character from a movie, and that this is a 3d printed armor for the Halloween party…
Idia is going to feel horribly out of place in general; he is super tech-oriented, and Briar Valley isn’t the best place for that, especially like 400-500 years ago. Lilia is going to find it hilarious and make fun of Idia a lot, maybe even prank him. Idia is going to get a bit surprised but notice that this curious and kind of playful side is very familiar, like he’s seen future Lilia acting that way.
While Lilia recognizes that his priority should probably be getting a young Shroud from the future(???) to the Queen, he enjoys their time together too much and feels kind of possessive over him, like he noticed him first. So they’ll end up spending the night together at some inn… not like that. Well. Yeah, probably like that.
Idia definitely wasn’t planning on sleeping with weird-manly-Lilia-from-the-past, but when Lilia pressed him against the wall and looked him in the eyes and told him that he’d never slept with a Shroud before, for some reason it all became a blur.
If future!Lilia and Idia are together in this universe, Idia will notice how different past!Lilia feels, but at the same time, not at all. Like, he is super different, he is way more aggressive, almost barbaric, very self-indulgent and openly rude; he even sounds differently, his grunts are lower, his laugh isn’t cute and all. He bites even worse, and in general it feels like Idia is a new addition to his huge collection of people he’s fucked. But at the same time, the look Lilia gives him is the same: it’s mischievous, curious and smug.
After Idia is back to NRC, he is going to avoid Lilia for as long as he can. It’s going to be pretty difficult to look him in the eyes after whatever happened back then. Lilia is going to notice and hunt him down though…

I think I've said this before but of all the ways you could choose to criticize Vivziepop, why do people so often come back to just insulting her art style or taste or aesthetic or something? I don't know much about her as an individual but I know a lot of people have some strong and not exactly positive feelings about her. There must be valid reasons for that, so just continue to talk about those things. It's weird to see people, especially on tumblr of all places, insulting her art style or saying Hazbin Hotel looks like something they would've made in middle school, as if that's a bad thing.
This feels like the cringe culture version of that post talking about how if you insult someone's appearance just because you think they're a bad person, there's always gonna be innocent and good people with the same features who you have now indirectly also insulted. idk weird connection but like. Many people would agree with me when I say that I think it's fun to explore nostalgia. It's fun to put out things your child self would've wanted to see. It's gratifying to succesfully create things your teen self tried but struggled to create. It's fulfilling and comforting to look back on things you used to enjoy and invite them back into your life when you realize the only reason you grew out of them was because you were shamed into doing so, despite them being ultimately harmless. That's of course not to say that Vivziepop's work is harmless, again I'm referring more to the aspects of her work that people insult carelessly but maybe would (or imo Should) think twice about if it were anyone else's work.
I don't know if I'm getting my point across here but basically I don't think internet users will ever learn that immaturely insulting someone who is genuinely worthy of criticism only results in their actual misdeeds getting drowned out while innocent bystanders catch strays from your thoughtless mockery.

OMFG A PROSHIPPER !!+! SAME BUT I HAVE TO HIDE MY IDENTITY BC EVERYONE HAS DNI PROSHIP IN BIO LIKE WHY?????
UMMMMM ..... Rant bc it's so rare to find a kindred spirit in this shitty immature ""war""
it fr just means i believe we should ship and let ship??? why is the "i don't judge u for your preferences" thing seen as bad idfk like. it's fucking fiction.
if it's problematic then I don't condone it irl. but I'm human. I have curiosities and shit. Like,, ppl don't listen to true crime bc they condone murder and ppl don't go calling true crime fans murderers. so WHYYYY is shipping any different, in fact it's b e t t e r bc at least fiction. isn't. real.
like why tf is what i ship anyone else's business??? unless it's bc we have smthn in common to bond over, why tf do ppl care abt the ships we don't have in common.
istg ship wars are crazy af and this whole pro- anti- ship shit is just another way to try to control smthn that doesn't need controlling.
it's like U said no one fucking cares abt it irl and the damn DEATH THREATS ppl get over **not giving a damn what other people ship** instead of being the fucking fandom shipper police or smthn is disgusting and i hate that im never allowed to talk abt this w/out ppl hating me and calling me a disgusting monster.
why can't I just do what I fucking want when in my own privacy while not causing any harm???
like ppl are so damn delusionalllllllll!!!!.!.!.!
-> some proshippers just mean they support any and all ships bc fiction is fiction
-> some proshippers ship "problematic" ships and that is FINE because it is NOT REAL and THEY ARE NOT HURTING ANYONE and i meannnnm ppl are curious right. they gonna explore alien concepts some way or another. why tf would ppl stop them from exploring it in a safe. healthy. fictional. harmless. way.
why is it that it's okay to consume problematic content but not okay to ship problematic ships?? literally what is the fucking difference ships are a subgenre of content.
if you think it's okay to be a fan of lotr or american psycho or some shit then it is damn hypocritical to say it isn't okay to ship something problematic. same thing if you think it's okay to stan/simp for a villain character.
it's only even called ~problematic~ bc that's how the relationship would be if it were real. which it isn't. so it isn't fucking problematic bc it's fictional content and the ppl shipping it do not condone the irl versions.
also sidenote,,, why tf are proshippers and multishippers grouped together in the dni stuff?? they are not related. a multishipper just. ships the same character w/ more than just one (1) other character. how is that problematic too?????
okay sorreryyyyyy i just have so many thoughts on this that im never allowed to share pls feel free to let this one collect dust in the inbox. or just straight up delete it lol.
Do not apologise! I love a good rant!
If you want to interact with proshippers more the tags "proshipper", "proshippers pls interact" and "proship positivity" are usually very nice and lots of wonderful people post there!
And you could always make a side account for proship stuff if you want to be able to take a break from the intense pro vs anti stuff if and when it gets too much, whilst still having a place to enjoy that stuff.
Honestly I think a lot of the issue is people seem to take the word "ship" as their ideal relationship. Less so than a dynamic they enjoy in fiction. But I don't know, I can't pretend to understand the mind of antis.
Proshippers and multishippers getting clumped together is probably linked to the idea that a ship is a pairing you want to see canon and shows actually pandering to ship wars lately. Or maybe people are just weird!
Everyone takes shipping way too seriously now and acts like a fictional pairings existence will romanticise the topic and brainwash kids. My general rule is that its for fun, who cares ?
And feel free to rant in my inbox whenever! It's always open to anyone. Glad you could get that off your chest :)

can’t lie dude there’s a massive difference between somebody having a photo of their teen sim in an underwear and “proship” where people openly support incestuous and pedophilic relationships. between you and me (and i’m saying this on anon bc i don’t want to get involved with any of this 😭) all of this is dumb but there’s a massive difference between falsely accusing somebody over THE SIMS and somebody who thinks it’s fine to look at art of a grown ass adult fucking a child because it’s fiction. your concerns are valid but you’re getting that mess of discourse mixed in with this for nothing. had a fun time on your blog while it lasted tho
super long rant but...
I've said this before and people got mad at me but like... I don't disagree with anything you're saying honestly. Like, OBVIOUSLY a full grown adult shouldn't be fucking a child. That's FUCKED UP.
But I mean, clearly the people who said that didn't think so? I mean, isn't that sort of the problem with this sort of thinking? Everyone thinks that THEIR extremely specific idea of what is and is not reasonable to assume is the right one.
I mean, take furries for instance. Doesn't anyone find it weird that we don't target furries that way? I mean, you may argue that "Well, anthro animals DON'T exist so we're not worried about protecting them" But we've seen SEVERAL groups of furries that have actually ended up being active zoophiles but not many groups of fanfic writers who were actually pedophiles working as some sort of cabal.
Like, I'm not trying to throw furries under the bus. But why do we all assume that we understand that it's harmless as they understand the difference between fiction and reality?
I'm not arguing that it's RIGHT or WRONG, I'm arguing that there seems to be no cohesion in what most of the 'progressive sphere' regards as being kosher.
Why is it that we assume someone writing that sort of fiction is some sort of deviant and not just someone who want to see the actors portraying those characters together and yet assume differently for any other kink?
I think there is an ulterior motive to cause bouts of accusations and recrimination in queer spaces and that young queer people were wrong made to believe that this would benefit them, when really this rhetoric just feeds alt-right orgs like Gays Against Groomers.
They know what they're doing. And many progressives in our spaces don't want to hear it because accusations have become a good way to get rid of those you don't like with flimsy evidence and even flimsier arguments. Once someone asked me to help them get rid of @blueheavensims because he was making poseboxes that were 'kind of rapey' and when I was like "'would you be willing to help me contact that advertisers for hunter420x's website, who has actual animations of children being molested" she was like "no, sorry".
and while I'm not naming names, this is someone that many of you know and respect as a simmer with 'good values'.
This isn't about what you should and shouldn't be allowed to write because honestly that was never the issue. It was about giving young progressives the rhetorical tools to destroy themselves for petty interpersonal drama while the right reaps the reward of figuring out how to get queers to accuse THEMSELVES of being pedophiles by co-opting progressive language.
Everytime I see a 20 year old with a 'dni proship' i assume its someone who would spit on an actual SA victim before helping them. You just pretend to care about this shit because it makes you feel like a better person when you're trying to ruin someone's life.
TL;DR: Write whatever the fuck you want. The people who will get mad at you generally care less about you doing it than how it looks. They'll tear down the person who said something they don't like over the actual powerful pederast every time. It's all performative bullshit.
Like, it's not that hard to see what most of you are doing, you're NOT that slick.
