THE STEALER CHAPTER ONE: PULL THE TRIGGER
Tumblr media
genre/warnings: angst, fluff, slow burn, enemies to lovers (?), kidnapping, criminal!tbz, mentions of guns & knives, quick mention of suicide
word count: 2,5k
summary: As y/n is leaved to close the store on her own, the last thing that she expects, happens to her
pairing: tbz x fem reader
“Y/n! You’re closing the store tonight, I have an emergency at home and I need to get going.” You hear your boss, Jiyoo yell from the back of the store as you put some new clothing items up on the racks. You sigh. “Okay!” You yell back at her and look at the time. 8:30PM. The store closes at 9 so you won’t be alone for a long time.
“The store is super quiet right now so I'm sure you can handle the last 30 minutes on your own.” Jiyoo smiles as she walks towards the entrance of the store. ‘I hope so.” You smile back.
She tells you to put the money in the safe and clean the store a bit and then quickly leaves the store, leaving you alone with 2 customers and the loud music of the speakers playing Bad Guy by Billie Eilish.
After the last customers leave, you look at the time again, 9:58. You make your way to the entrance to close the door and turn off the lights so nobody starts knocking, begging you to let them in, then you tidy some stuff up as you make your way back to the counter. As you reach the counter the radio switches to the news.
“The infamous criminal group ‘The Boyz’ have gotten away with yet another robbery just yesterday making it their 12th theft of the month. The police still have not been able to catch them due to the group's large number of members.”
You sigh. Instead of partying with your friends on this friday night you have been put in charge to close the store. “I don’t get paid enough for this.’ you murmur as you grab the money they earned today and start counting them. The sound of something falling shakes you out of your thoughts.
“What the- oh it’s just the broom that fell.” Just as you are about to go back to counting you hear a faint thud in the storage room. “Ok, I'm getting really scared now.” You whisper to yourself.
You decide to shake it off and go back to counting when you suddenly feel cold metal against the back of your head.
Oh fuck.
“Put the money down,''
You hear a male voice say. You do what he says as you start praying internally. You then feel a sharp object pressed against your lower back.
“Listen up, as long you’re doing as we say, you’re not gonna get hurt.”
‘That’s what they always say.’ You think but would never dare to say out loud. You’re on the verge of tears thinking this is your last day when you hear another thud.
“OW!” You hear another voice yell.
“Dumbass.” You hear another voice say.
‘How many of these motherfuckers are there.’ You think
“Grab some stuff over there.” You hear the one holding a gun against your head say as you see another figure grabbing the money you just dropped on the counter.
“I can’t see shit in here.” One of the voices further away from you says.
“Turn the lights on hyung!” The other one says.
You flinch as the lights turn on. Not daring to look at thieves. No Y/n u need to remember their faces just in case they actually don’t kill you. As you look up you make eye contact with the one that took the money. Your eyes widen at how handsome he is. “Bring us to the safe.” The one holding the knife against your lower back says. You slowly turn around making eye contact with the one holding the gun.
Shit, he’s handsome too.
You slowly start walking to the storage room.
“Changmin! Eric! We’ll be right back, grab everything you can!” Gun guy says.
When you arrive at the storage room, you walk to the safe and kneel in front of it, the three guys still behind. As you type in the code you hear a walkie talkie go off followed by another voice.
“What is taking so long.”
“Shut up, we just got to the safe. Anybody nearby?” The one without a weapon, as far as you know then, asks.
“No, it’s dead, everyone is going out a few blocks away.”
“Give us 10 minutes.”
“Fine.”
You take the money out and hand it to knife guy, who puts it in a bag.
“Please don’t kill me.” You plead.
“We won’t.” Gun guy says.
“Hyunjae, come with me. Juyeon, keep an eye on her.” Gun guy commands as he walks away with Hyunjae.
You took the opportunity to look at knife guy, Juyeon.
Fuck, he’s beautiful too.
You guys just stay there in silence till the two guys come back into the storage room. But this time they came back with the two other guys.
“Plan changed, we’re taking you with us.” Hyunjae says. Your eyes widen and you try to get up and escape. Just as you get up, Juyeon grabs your left arm, pulls you back and holds the knife against your neck.
“Do as we say and you will not get hurt.” Gun guy says. Your hands get tied behind your back and you decide to give in and follow the guys outside.
“Took you long enough.” You see three other guys waiting outside. One shows a bored expression, the other is very tall and the last is...very cute? They’re all handsome too. You mentally cry.
“Who’s that?” The ‘cute’ one says with a softer voice. “Our new friend.” Hyunjae smirks. You internally scoff as they walk you to the bus. When they open the bus you see three more guys.
How many of them can there be?!
“Hi, ooohh who’s that.” One of them behind a huge computer screen says.
“They brought a souvenir.” The tall guy that was waiting outside laughs.
They put you in the car and start driving. Tears are threatening to leave your eyes as you think about your friends and family. What if you get killed? Or they never let you go? or even worse… you get Stockholm syndrome?!?!
“What’s your name?” The ‘cute’ one with a soft voice asks you. You still look down refusing to talk.
“Cat caught your tongue.” Hyunjae scoffs.
“I’m jacob.” The one with a soft voice says, you look up to see him give you a soft smile.
“Y/n.” You murmur and the boys start introducing themselves to you. You nod at them and for the rest of the car ride you stay quiet.
After maybe 45 minutes the car stops and they open the door and help you get out. You look up to see a huge villa remote from the city. You guys make your way to the villa and once you're inside they guide you to the couch. They all sit across from you while Sangyeon stands.
“Y/n, do you happen to know who we are?” He asks
You slowly shake your head looking at the 11 boys. Wait. 11 boys? NO WAY! You suddenly remember the new reports for the last two months. You've been kidnapped by…
The Boyz.
You hear the boys laugh at your shocked expression.
“Listen up.” Sangyeon speaks up “It wasn’t in our plan to keep you hostage, but now that you’re here we’ve got to make the best of it haha. As you can see our house is very messy and we’re desperately in need of a cleaner. So we’ll point out your room for you to get some rest, you start tomorrow. Any questions.”
“I don't have any clothes to wear besides these.”
“Well thank God we robbed a clothing store.” Kevin laughs.
“We’ll make sure to buy all the necessities you need.”Sangyeon assures you. He tells you what time they’ll come and wake you up and commands Jacob and Kevin to bring you to your room while Changmin grabs some bed sheets and pillows.
As they open the door to your new room, you see that it’s huge and empty with only curtains and an empty bed in the middle of it.
“You can decorate as time goes by.” Kevin tells you and you nod. Changmin comes in with the pillows and bed sheet and the 3 boys help u set up the bed.
Once your bed is all made up, Younghoon comes in with two pairs of pajamas and some normal clothes for you to wear. All hail one size fits all clothes. Once you put on your pajamas, you lie in bed and think about everything that has just happened until you fall asleep.
—————————————————
The sun shining through your curtains wakes you up. You groan in annoyance, put a pillow over your head and close your eyes again. Right as you begin to doze off again, your door opens. “It’s time to get up.” You hear someone say. You turn around to see Chanhee standing at your door. “Be downstairs in 30 minutes” He says, closing the door again. As you get up, you get a moment of realization.
You’ve been kidnapped…… YOU’VE BEEN KIDNAPPED! YOU NEED GET THE HELL OUT OF HERE.
But how.
While you get dressed you think of all the ways you could escape. Jump out of the window? Suicide. Grab a knife and kill them? You would already have been killed before you stabbed one of them. Sneak out of the house while they’re sleeping? PERFECT. But you needed to stay a bit to figure out the plan in detail. You need to know your way out and their sleeping schedule, you also need to gain their trust. You needed to be super nice to them for them to trust you.
You take a deep breath and step out of your room. When you arrive downstairs you see that all of the boys are awake. “Good Morning!” Haknyeon jumps up from the couch. “Good morning.” You respond back.
“Ah, you’re awake.” Sangyeon walks into the living room. “Sit down, I'll explain what you need to do.” He starts talking about you making their meals and doing their laundry followed by cleaning the whole house. You mentally sigh. This isn’t going to be easy.
Kevin introduces you to the kitchen and offers to help with making breakfast.
“Haknyeon, stop it!” Kevin grabs the spoon that Haknyeon is about to dip in the soup.
For the third time.
“I’m just tasting it for you guys.”
“You’ve tasted enough, get out!” Haknyeon pouts as he walks out of the kitchen, making you giggle.
“So, Kevin, how many times a week do you guys go out to steal?” “Hmm, maybe five to six times a week. Why?” He looks up at you. “Oh just wondering.” You lie. “Must be tiring.”
You continue to make the soup while wondering if it was possible to escape while they’re out stealing. You decide to ask Kevin for more information and he tells you that it usually takes 30 minutes to an hour for them to finish a small mission and that bigger missions sometimes take up to three hours.
He also tells you that he, Haknyeon and sunwoo are in charge of hacking, Younghoon, Jacob and Chanhee are always on the watch and Sangyeon, Hyunjae, Juyeon, Eric, and Changmin are the ones in action.
—————————————————
“Wow this is good!” Eric says, stuffing his mouth with the soup you and Kevin made.
I should’ve put poison in it, you think to yourself.
“So Y/n, tonight we have another mission and since we can’t trust you alone in this house we have to take you with us from now on.” Sangyeon speaks up.
Fuck.
“Sure” You simply say. “So what’s tonight’s mission about, hyung?” Changmin asks. “Tonight we’re robbing the new shoe store in town.”
And they all go crazy
“Finally! I needed new Jordan's.” Eric jumps up from his seat. “We should rob a Balenciaga store next.” Sunwoo sighs. After the boys finally calm down and finish their breakfast, you go wash the dishes while they prepare for tonight’s robbery.
Finally the time has broken for tonight’s mission. While in the car, Sangyeon instructs you to stay in the car with the hackers while the rest of them go to their usual position. When it’s time for the rest to leave the car, you lean back and sigh.
You have no phone, no nothing, all you can do is pray you get out of this situation soon.
“I see you’re enjoying yourself.” Sunwoo chuckles. “Leave her alone Sunwoo. Why don’t you come and look at how we work?” Kevin motions for you to sit next to him.
You sit in between him and Haknyeon and look up at the huge screen. Kevin clicks on a couple of things and all of a sudden a bunch of security camera screens pop up. In one of them you see Jacob, Younghoon and Chanhee on the lookout while the rest make their way around the back of the building.
“If I click on this, all the footage of tonight will be deleted, but I'll do that after the guys come back.” He points at a key on his keyboard. “Now we have to crack the password. Haknyeon?”
You look at your right to see Haknyeon click on a bunch of keys to reveal the password.
“1206” He says, and Sunwoo repeats it into the walkie talkie.
After 30 minutes the rest rushes back in the car with a bunch of bags full of shoes and money.
“We almost got caught.” Eric pants out of breath.
“I saw no one in the store though?” Kevin asks, while deleting the camera footage.
“There was this old lady walking in the alley and Eric started freaking out” Hyunjae huffs.
“So an old lady walking in a dark alley in the middle of the night isn’t sus?!” Eric yells, making the others laugh.
When you guys arrive ‘home’, you decide to go to sleep first because you're exhausted. When you lie in your bed, you fall asleep almost immediately.
—————————————————
“I’m kinda getting bored of robbing, I need more thrill.” Changmin lay’s down on the couch.
“Yeah me too, I want some adrenaline.” Eric plops down next to him. “Try jumping off a cliff.” “Not funny, Sunwoo.”
“Oh! I have an idea!” Haknyeon jumps up. “Y/n is our maid now, right?” “Maid.” Younghoon snorts. “She’s cute, right? And we steal stuff, right?”
“Get to the point.” Sangyeon sighs.
“Let’s steal her heart.”
Hyunjae burst out laughing. “Are you insane? Why would we do that? That sounds so dumb.”
“You guys said you were bored and this sounds like a fun mission to me.”
“I agree, this could be fun.” Eric jumps up from the couch.
“So you wanna make her fall in love with one of us?” Jacob sits up. “Why would she do that, we’re holding her hostage.” Sunwoo laughs.
“That’s what makes it hard and more of a fun mission!”
“And when does the winner get?” Sangyeon speaks up.
“We have to do anything for that person for two whole years.”
“Are you out of your mind?” Hyunjae scoffs.
“I like the idea, I'm with Haknyeon.” Juyeon sides with the younger one.
“Fine it’s a good distraction, we need to get off the radar for a week, the police are still on our heels.” Sangyeon gives in while Haknyeon and Eric cheer.

(Y/N)'s P.o.V
Things were quiet for the first time in what felt like a week. Aaron, Jack, and I were watching movies together. It was a quiet Saturday and I really enjoyed that, especially since it was one of those weeks where Aaron hadn't been home so it was only me and his son. Aaron and I had been dating for about 7 months, I figured that moving forward was the best way to handle our situation. I worked from home as a website coordinator for major companies who just hadn't caught up with the technology wave, which was the polar opposite of Aaron's job. He was constantly gone, and in danger. I sighed softly, it was my idea to move in so soon. He didn't exactly love the idea at first but after I told him it could be good for Jack to have someone in the house it made him feel a little better, and since life is too short especially for him it was best to skip too much in between fluff. Life is a mess and yet I was content with the life I had chosen. "Opie." Jack said quietly to me. He had become like a child to me and I wasn't exactly read to be a parent so an Opie was next best thing I guess. "what is it Jack?" I asked softly "I want some snackies" he said quietly "please can I have some?" I just nodded and smiled nodding "Of course you can buddy. What kind do you want?" I hummed softly as he thought softly "How about some gushers" I suggested to him and he gasped nodding quickly "Gushers!" He yelled excitedly making Aaron let out a very rare laugh, a gentle smile resting on his face. "gushers!" Jack grinned bouncing on the couch as I walk to the kitchen. I sighed standing up onto my tiptoes to grab the box of gushers off the top shelf. Aaron said to put all the junk food up high so Jack couldn't reach it easily, but what he forgot was I struggle to reach sometimes depending on the shelf. It was a pain in the ass. I squeaked quietly as I felt a hand on my hip and a man pressed against my back. "Jesus Aaron, don't scare me like that" I snorted softly leaning into his touch closing my eyes. "sorry (Y/N), I figured you'd need some help since the unhealthier snacks are on the very top shelf," he hummed closing it and swaying with me happily. Sometimes I forgot just how romantic Aaron actually was, it wasn't the laying out flowers on valentines day, or calling me cheesy silly things, just sweet. He held me when he felt I needed to be held, spent as much time with me as I could, never made ridiculous accusation. He was an adult and we had an adult relationship. It was the first one I had too, so to say it was refreshing was a slight understatement. I really loved Aaron but I wasn't quite ready to say that yet. "Daddy! Opie! You're missing the movie!" Jack called making me laugh "He's right. We should go" I hummed sweetly pulling Aaron to the couch handing Jack his Gushers. I cuddled into Aaron's chest thinking about what to make all of us for dinner. I was tired of having takeout because that was what Jack and I ate when he was out on a case. This last case was a fairly easy one. A few murders here and there. Yes it took them a week but the guy was clever and kept getting out of custody, so I was told. It was scary how many bad people were out there and how you just had to narrow down the bad to the worst, and then take your pick of those sickos. "So-" Aaron began ever so thoughtfully. I've been thinking and I think it's time, you meet the BAU" That sentence alone made my heart skip a beat. "Really?" I grinned. The BAU was his family, a whole different world, and meeting them would mean he was sure of where this relationship was going. That was the best feeling in the world. "Yeah. I think we both know this relationship is going well, and I feel good enough to tell them. What do you think?" He questioned and I nodded quickly "Please! That would be so wonderful Aaron!" I squealed hugging him.
As we talked excitedly the phone rang, more specifically Aaron's hand held rang. My heart dropped because I knew what the deal was. He answered with a stern "Hotchner" as he always did. It scared me how fast his mood changed sometimes so sweet and happy, to stone faced mean man in seconds. I guess it was his way of coping with the job and everything it had put him through. Aaron's history at the BAU was nothing to scoff and and I knew better than to question his job or authority within it. I just sighed "What kind of takeout do you want tonight Jack?" I questioned the small boy softly who hummed "Chicken!" he grinned and I nodded sitting back slightly disheartened "That sounds yummy." I hummed. "right. Alright, be there soon. Thanks JJ" he said hanging up "I'm sorry. The good news is, I don't have to leave town. Bad news is this guy is so active we might need to stay at the Bureau for a night or two." He said looking to me with a frown. "Go." I smiled gently "go be a hero, and when you catch this guy. Make sure he knows he fucked with the wrong team" I whispered the last part in his ear. He grinned kissing me gently, the encouragement was always something he appreciated, I knew that much for sure. I kissed back holding his face as he stood up. I didn't want him to go. I knew he had to, I knew it was important, and I knew not to take it personally but it was still hard to watch him go every time. "I really have to go (Y/N)." he muttered against my lips making me whine. "Just. One more minute." I sighed as he pulled away putting on his jacket. "You know want to but I can't. You know that" he sighed kissing Jack's head and giving him a big hug "I'll see you in a little bit buddy." He said softly. Even when he was telling the truth it still hurt just a little, Jack was probably the strongest kid I'd met. He had become so used to his father leaving, he missed him every single time, but he sat brave sure his dad would come back the hero he knew he was. And that was what kept me strong. A little boy so assured of his father that you couldn't help but be too. I just sighed softly lost in my thoughts as Aaron left, I tired to keep a really open mind about it. His wife had left because of his job and I didn't also want to do that. It was a demanding and dangerous job though and the idea of him being gone for so long and maybe not coming back leaving me with his son? It made me feel sick. Worry was always on the forefront of my mind when he was gone. It was the worst sometimes. I started to fill a pot with water since I figured some macaroni for lunch would be good. "Jack! How do you feel about macaroni for lunch?" I hummed softly to the boy, who didn't respond causing me to be confused.
I just sighed and set the pot down on the counter, and went to check on Jack wondering if he had wondered into another room. "Jack?" I called out into the almost empty apartment. I blinked walking into Aaron's study with a loud sigh. I wondered if he was 'working a case'. I learned that was what you said when you needed him to safety. A good way for him to hide, I was surprised, I remember that was when he told me about his late ex wife. I had just moved in with him and he was panicked and looking for Jack. When we had found him he smiled widely saying "sorry daddy. I had to work a case". It was sweet until Aaron had to explain the emergency plans. He told me he just couldn't take anymore chances. I just sighed as he told me the story of what happened to Hailey, and shook my head smiling when he offered me an out. "I'm not going anywhere Aaron. I care a whole lot about you, and danger? It's a given." I told him, we hadn't even come close to saying I love you. It was so early on that saying it felt a little wrong. We still hadn't actually, it was one of those things we were both scared to admit. "Here I am Opie!" Jack called from his bedroom making me smile and walk to him "Hey buddy. How does some mac and cheese sound for lunch?" I knelt down with a smile. "Yeah! We get to save some for daddy too right?" he asked "Of course. Come on. Lets go, you can play in the ki-" I stopped when I heard glass break "Actually, while I make lunch, you... uh you, daddy needs you to work the case with him okay? Keep working till daddy or I comes and gets you." I said softly kissing his forehead. He nodded and got up running off to his safe place and I grabbed a bat from his room slowly walking towards the living room. The picture of me and Aaron had fallen off the table. I let out a soft sigh and picked it up and went to the kitchen to get a broom to clean the glass. I set the picture on the counter and hissed in pain as I gently nicked my finger on a larger piece of glass. "Shit..." I hissed starting to wash it, I decided to get Jack after everything was cleaned so he wouldn't get hurt. "How did that even fall off the table. I didn't think it was that close to the edge." I muttered to myself. I shook my head gasping in shock as I was grabbed causing me to scream. My hair was used to pull my head back and I was faced with a masked man. It wasn't a ski mask but instead a plastic mask. I hissed and screamed turning myself around tangling my brown hair in the process. The man very clearly displeased with my actions shoved me into the counter causing my hair to fall over my face. "Stop struggling" the stranger's gruff voice commanded making me shiver with pure fear as he stepped closer grabbing my neck.
I was so scared I was going to die I did the next best thing and grabbed the pot of water slapping him across the face with it ignoring the water. I stumbled out as he yelled in pain not even thinking straight. I could have grabbed a knife but I instead went for the phone. I was about half way there when I felt a blunt object causing me to fly forward into the table. I didn't feel the pain I was far too scared not to mention that my body was pumping adrenaline like crazy. I hissed sitting up searching quickly for anything. I found one of Jacks toys that was just a little too sharp but not sharp enough to harm, unless you were using it like I was. I screamed loudly using the toy to take out his fucking knee. He screamed falling to the ground long enough for me to discover I literally broke the phone under me when I fell into the table. I stood trying to run away from the broken side table and batshit insane man trying to grab me. I ran to the other side of the couch trying to trick him into following my path so I could make a B line for the kitchen. I need a knife more than ever, I couldn't leave to get help. There wasn't a guarantee he wouldn't follow and if he didn't follow for whatever reason that could be putting Jack in a seriously dangerous situation he didn't need to be in. I gagged at the smell of this man, he smelt homeless and like cigarettes. There was another smell I couldn't place but it was absolutely terrible. Add a years worth of whiskey to the mix and you had the man standing in my living room. "Come here bitch." He hissed "You need to pay for your crimes." now, the problem is I never committed a crime. And i wanted nothing more to scream and cry, but Aaron said never to show them fear, or give them what they want. So even if he did kill me, I wasn't letting him get any satisfaction from it. He came at me and I ran grabbing a glass shard from the counter and a knife, I stabbed at him blindly yelling, and cursing. "Get away from me!" I snapped, I missed the stab to the chest and only got his arm. Gasping for air I tried to grab another and screamed as a bag was put over my head, he shook the knife off like a god damn champ. I let out one final plea for help before everything when black.
With Aaron. 3rd person P.o.V
Aaron silently wondered if he really needed to be here. If it was actually a case that his team needed to take. He wondered if he could just shrug off JJ saying it wasn't actually priority, and he fully planned on it until he saw what was on the screen. It was just about enough to make him sick, there were four skeletons on the screen all of them had a pile of long brunette hair next to them, all wearing a white dress that was scorched to hell. It was almost nothing, it was a lot of messy cloth but you could just tell what is was. He sighed sitting down, it was local. He hated it, he hated how close it was to his own home. How close it was to Jack and (Y/N). He called the house with a frown before everyone else got there and it freaked him out slightly when it went straight to voice mail. He wondered silently if the battery had died, he hadn't changed it in a long time and had a bad habit of leaving it off the holder. He really was concerned, but tried to keep himself composed. And so when everyone came in he held his same stoic face. Spencer though was definitely the first to notice something was off though. He was good at his job like that, so when he asked if something was wrong it threw Aaron off slightly. "Hotch?" Derek questioned after noticing as well how off he was. Emily also noticed but decided not to press the issue as JJ walked into the room with a sad smile. "Time to get this show on the road." Everyone knew that it was time for the worst part of their jobs. Figuring out what they were too late to stop.
"This-" JJ gestured to the skeleton on the screen "Is Anna Beekly. She was reported missing three days ago and turned up two days ago as you see her now." She said quietly and pulled up two other pictures. They looked almost exactly the same as the previous victim except the first one seemed to have a cross in the picture. "All of these women were believed to have been taken by the same person and killed exactly the same." JJ said "and all of them had one thing in common while alive" she stated putting up the pictures of the alive and smiling women. "They were all brunettes." she sighed. "Well that takes victomology out of the way" Emily said quietly "Its odd, no one decomposes that fast and the bodies are badly burned but if he wanted to dispose of the evidence why wouldn't he keep trying instead of dumping them." Rossi mumbled blinking "Unless he isn't trying to burn the evidence" Spencer suggested. Aaron looked sick. (Y/N) was a brunette, sure it was a common hair color but the idea scared the hell out of him. "What do you mean?" Derek asked patting the now very quiet Penelope Garcia's back. "Well, maybe he's burning them alive." He said quietly "Look at the dresses and how they're burned matching up to how their body is burned. The fire's hottest point is at their feet." He said pointing out all the facts. "And look at the first picture" Aaron continued "It seems like hes burning them on it. And after the first dump it didn't feel right to leave the cross with them so he stopped" he frowned
"So what your saying is-" Derek began "-We have a witch hunter" Rossi finished scowling. Aaron nodded. "Penelope. I need you to look up anything and everything these victims may have had in common and if they knew or met the unsub. Now. Before we even leave." Aaron hissed. He was getting nervous and antsy. He hadn't even received a text that everything was alright from his girlfriend. "Yes sir" Penelope yelped tapping like mad at her keyboard "Okay.. Okay um..." she stuttered "all these women had online stores. And were connected to a man who's user was Olsin24, and that user traces back to a fake email address I can't track but he was the last one the victims had contact with" she whimpered softly. Everyone was a little shocked by how snappy Aaron was all of a sudden, it wasn't like him to have mood swings especially ones that made Penelope worried. "It looks like he only messages and meets one person at a time since he only has correspondents with the three women and a fourth." She said tapping quickly "Who's the fourth?" Derek asked raising a brow "She's our next victim and we got to help her before anything else" he said firmly "Already on that my sweet" she grinned and pulled up her laptop onto the big screen "Her name is (Y/N) (L/N), she works as a social media manager, and met up with this man three days ago to discus getting his business online." she hummed pulling up the picture of Aaron's girlfriend making him sick to his stomach "Where does she live? We need to get there immediately" Emily said standing up adrenaline already pumping. "She lives.." She pulled up the address and her face dropped. "With Hotch..." She blinked in surprise as everyone turned to the pale man for an explanation. "She's my girlfriend..." he mumbled "I was going to tell you all about her later." He mumbled "But we don't have time for that. She and Jack are alone at the house and our home phone is dead. We have to go" he stood and ran out to the SUVs everyone following "Hotch scored" Derek said to Emily before hitting him and running after them.
(Y/N) P.o.v
I woke up dizzy and confused at the very least. There was one blissful moment where I had forgotten everything that happened. I only wondered if Jack had brushed his teeth before we went to sleep, and not about the fight, and the mess, the knives and toys. I almost forgot about how I felt like my head was splitting and two and thinking Aaron would be home soon. But when I opened my eyes instead of questioning my surroundings I started to sob quietly, as all the memories flooded back and I was left in a cold room with water dripping down the roof. It smelt like death and I realized I was in a cage. One of those cages you'd put a husky in when it was bedtime and you didn't trust them to not shit in your room. I whimpered realizing I was tied up and pretty lost. The feeling in my wrists was gone and I was sure if I could see them they'd be purple but as they were behind my back I couldn't do much. Until I remembered a trick Aaron had taught me. You aren't normally supposed to be able to get your hands from behind your back to in front of you, but with enough bending and flexibility it was easily possible. I slowly worked and sighed in relief as I could see my hands. I began to bite at the rope hopelessly tugging on it even if to just loosen it enough so it would be less painful, silently panicking as I heard the jiggle jangle of keys down the hall.
I nearly started sobbing again as the man stepped into the cage "If you wanted them looser you could have just asked" He muttered unforgivably and started to loosen them but not taking them off. "Sit in that chair" He muttered stepping aside giving me room to crawl out. As I did I silently contemplated if I could run, looking at the disgusting green chair that looked as if it'd been thrown up on and smelt like cat piss. He grabbed me shoving and killing any hope I had of escaping. "We need to cut your hair. You'll burn to long if we don't" He said quietly and sighed basically inhaling it making me wince away fro him. I had never been so disgusted in my entire life. I moved away from him "Shame, it was so pretty" he moaned into it causing me to gag involuntarily. The body knew what it wanted, and it did not want this. "what.... what do you mean by,, I'll burn too long?" I winced regretting the question the second it came out of my mouth. "You're a witch..." he sneered. "I'm n-not a witch... a-and even if I wa-was. Witches aren't bad. They just want to do good things and live life wit-with good vibes. It's j-just a religion lik-like any other one." I whimpered softly as he threw me in the chair ignoring my pleas for mercy. I was human, that was it. I needed to humanize myself, Aaron told me that if I do that it may appeal to him "M-My name is (Y/N), I-I'm 39 years old, I have a boyfriend named Aaron who cares for me a lot, and he has a little boy." I whimpered, it hit me that we had met. "R-remember me... J-Jacob remember me? We met the other day" I cried softly "Yeah. But your hair, it's the devil's color. We can't let a witch like you walk aroun' runin' lives and such" he shook his head. I whimpered as I felt the brush start making its way down my hair. "Brushing makes it easier to cut" he muttered. Am I going to die here?
With Aaron 3rd person p.o.v
Aaron nearly busted down his own door and went into a state of shock at the scene of his apartment. He quickly ran up to his study "Jack? JACK!" he yelled as the rest of his team followed shocked as well. He went to see if Jack was in his hiding spot and there he was peacefully napping. Aaron quickly picked him up hugging him, he yawned in response sleepily looking up "Hi daddy. Opie said you needed help working the case and not to come out until she or you came back" He yawned looking around "Can I goes back to sleep now?" He mumbled earning a soft nod from Aaron as he handed him off to JJ. He quickly got up and went to investigating. "This was some struggle, the table is broken and so is the home phone. There's a knife on the ground over here along with a bloody toy. There's broken glass but no picture" Spencer mumbled "He must have broken it to distract her so he could catch her off guard, and it didn't work very well" he muttered. It damn near killed Aaron to hear about his girlfriend being talked about like a victim. He'd had this happen with Hailey and he wasn't ready for it to happen again. "The picture is in here. Seemed like she was trying to clean it up. Maybe she worried someone was in the house, saw it was just the picture and decided to clean up, not knowing someone was actually here." Emily suggested as she yelled from the other room. "There's some blood and a lot of water all over the floor. But the pot is in the sink. (Y/N) clearly didn't put it here, and the glass has been moved to the trash, but there blood on the counter clearly someone cut themselves on it cleaning it up" She hummed confused. "The question is, who's really doing the cleaning?" She muttered. "Is that even important?!" Aaron snapped "What is important right now is finding (Y/N)" he muttered "Look. We're missing a knife. She had to stab him meaning there has to be a guy out there in need of medical attention." He snapped again, being way too on edge. "Hotch" Derek grounded him with a sigh "Look..." he said "I know you're very involved with (Y/N), but you need to calm down. Step outside okay?" He mumbled, worried for the man who looked like he might just break the other. "Fine" He hissed going out to his son, leaving them to look through the apartment. It came up clean. Except for one thing. A hand print on the table, bloody and clear as day. "Lets get to it." Emily said blinking.
(Y/N)'s P.o.V
I stared at the pile of hair the bastard chopped off crying softly picking up strands. I was proud of my hair and it was a different kind of violation, I was in shock and I felt sick. I was so caught up in my thoughts I didn't even have time to recognize that Jacob had come into my cell. I was completely terrified, I didn't know what he wanted, and I didn't know how to appease him. "What do you want!" I sobbed. "Why won't you let me go!" I screamed crying out in pain as he grabbed me by the face pulling me off the ground roughly. I whimpered in fear, unable to stop myself at this point. The pain was real, horrifically real, and that's what fear became. "Admit to your crime and maybe God will have mercy on you" he hissed spitting on my face. I winced my lower lip quivering "I haven't done anything" I sobbed "I'm not a witch. I'm just a woman!" I screeched as he threw me to the floor. He threw a dress at me "What do you want to eat? It'll be your last" he mumbled. I cried softly, "I... I want... some..." I thought about my first date with Aaron, it was simple but I could be myself. I ordered a burger and fries, with chilli to dip the fries in. It was the best, the food was mediocre but Aaron was attached to it. I wanted a little bit of him left. I sniffled "can I write it down for you?" I asked. He nodded handing me a pad and pencil. I wrote the order with a sniffle, handing him the paper. He took it leaving, and I immediately felt empty and sad. I needed to write to Aaron and Jack. They didn't know where I was and if this guy continued to bring victims here, someone was bound to find it and give it to him for me. That was all I could do, that and put on the dress. If I tried to escape lord knows what would happen.
Mass chaos P.o.V
Aaron paced in Penelope's lair just waiting for a match to come up. He was monitoring (Y/N)'s credit card, any online history from Olsin24, if he messaged someone else that meant (Y/N) was already dead, but Aaron didn't want to think about that. He needed to continue working off the belief that (Y/N) was alive or else he might just loose his mind. He needed to find her and fast, he couldn't let anything happen to her. "Sir! We have a match!" Penelope said quickly "Jacob Harrson! He's a 51 year old man! And he was spotted... at a restaurant. He used (Y/N)'s credit card 12 minutes ago" she swallowed a lump in her throat "I'm sending you the address now." Aaron could have hugged her but right now he needed to focus on finding his girlfriend so he ran the team following.  As they loaded into their cars, (Y/N) was being pulled from the floor and towards the field. The dress flew behind her and she kept stepping on broken glass from what she assumed were beer bottles. The SUVs going as fast as they could sirens blaring. The idea of (Y/N) being dead was at the front of Aaron's anxious mind, he felt sick and so did she. She was being pulled through a backyard and tied to a cross. She felt sick watching as he slowly added more and more kindling. "You're going to be okay. God will have mercy. He always does." Jacob said, brushing his thumb across her cheek making her gag. They pulled up to the house guns out and they were ready to bust down the door. The BAU was ready to actually solve a case super fast the idea not dawning on them that if they were wrong, (Y/N) was dead. But her screams and cries for help caught Aaron's attention the flames and smoke being seen from the back yard. Aaron ran back Derek following quickly.
The fight that followed was too blurry for anyone to remember but Jacob was on the ground nearly dead and Aaron was pulling (Y/N) off the cross quickly. "Shit. Baby it's okay. It's okay you're safe" He whispered crying and holding her. She just cried "I can't feel my feet" she whispered gagging. "I can't do anything, am I moving them?" she whispered Aaron looked down nearly gagging at the sight. (Y/N) had fourth degree burns, it had only been a few minutes but that was enough apperently. The bone shone through the skin around it red, the blisters bursting and the crisp skin around the bone charred beyond repair "MEDIC! WE NEED A MEDIC!" Derek yelled as Aaron tried to distract (Y/N). "Its okay. Don't think about it. We'll get you taken care of. You'll be home soon, you, Jack, and me can all watch movies, and it'll be fun." He watched her eyes light up. She nodded slowly "okay... I'm tired." She mumbled "Not yet. Okay? Just, keep looking at me" He whispered the stretcher back. Aaron knew everything would be okay.

English Translation of Novel 3: Chapter 2 – The Man Known as Julius (Part 2 of 2)
Here’s the second half of the last untranslated chapter from Book of Yuno! More Julius, Yuno, Jack, and Charlotte goodness, plus Mereoleona and Marx!
With this, Book of Yuno is now fully translated!
--- The Man Known as Julius (Part 2) ---
And so, in days that followed, they ran into no troubles at all. The days passed by rather smoothly…… Well, that may depend on your definition of “smooth”. As Yuno predicted, Jack and Charlotte frequently dropped by the lake, Graham still didn’t get along with Julius, and each time that happened, Bell would say something insensitive, so Yuno’s training kept getting interrupted. Though their troubles didn’t grow, his worries did.
Nevertheless, Graham’s wounds healed well, and the amount of time he spent near his parents’ tombstone steadily decreased. It would be a little lonely once they do, but, at this rate, they will be able to return Graham to the wild in a few days.
‘I have to find a safe place for him away from humans as soon as possible……’ Yuno thought as he and Bell were shopping in the village of Tonan. It was still early afternoon.
“Oh, aren’t you Yuno-kun?”
Yuno heard a voice call back from behind him as he was walking. When he turned around, he saw a man with his blue hair cut like a mushroom, standing there with a smile.
“Yes. Umm, if I recall, you use communication magic…...”
“Ah, sorry. I haven’t introduced myself yet. I’m Marx Francois. I’m the Wizard King’s aide.”
He said with a gentle smile on his face as he approached Yuno, seemingly wanting to chat with him.
“I sure do meet a lot of Magic Knights when I’m in an area where patrols are emphasized. Why, just yesterday, I met Captain Jack. A ha ha, it’s surprising to see him buying vegetables like any other normal human being!”
‘I’m still surprised he bought them for Graham……,’ of course, Yuno didn’t say this out loud, instead opting to match Marx’s tone of surprise.
“I’m surprised. I guess that means he must cook, too.”
A more suitable reply. He then tilted his head and said,
“So, what are you doing here, Marx-san?”
“Surveying the field and intelligence gathering. I wanted to see the state of affairs of all areas that have been targeted by those bandits, and I was going to convey my findings to the Wizard King, but…… ah, no, sorry. The chain of command a transmission is supposed to go through got messed up.”
Marx paused for a bit as if to reorient himself.
“For various reasons, the notification that was supposed to go out to each squad was delayed, but half a day ago, we successfully quashed the bandits.”
“……Huh?”
Yuno couldn’t help but stutter. It’s true that a few days have passed since the Magic Knights were deployed to suppress the bandits, so it was only a matter of time before they would completely quash them, but……
“That’s rather sudden. Incredibly so.”
“Yeah. Since it was possible that the Original Sin was involved in this case, we were searching more cautiously than usual, but…...”
Marx’s face stiffened.
“……Captain Mereoleona said “How many days does it take you to capture a few petty thieves!” and kicked the knights who were investigating into high-gear. I was also participating in the search, and it wasn’t long before those bandits were completely annihilated. A few bandits may have escaped, but it’s just about over now.”
‘I feel sorry for those bandits……,’ Yuno thought to himself as he quietly put his hands together in prayer for them.
“However, when we confiscated their belongings, we didn’t find any copies of the Original Sin. Maybe those rumors about them having one was fake, but it’s possible that one of the bandits who escaped ran away with it…… there are still many things we are uncertain about, so I came here in the hopes of finding some clues, but I’ve found nothing so far.”
“……I see. Thank you for all your hard work.”
Yuno thanked Marx while he internally let out a sigh of relief. Now that those bandits have been caught, this area should be safer now. Since a few bandits escaped, the patrols will probably continue for a little while longer, but the frequency of those patrols should decrease. That means it will be easier to take care of Graham. Yuno continued to feel more and more relaxed, even faintly considering taking a stroll through town, but then Marx called his attention as he put his hand in his breast pocket.
“Ah, wait a second! I’m sorry to ask you this so suddenly, but do you know anything about this magic tool?”
“………!!”
Yuno’s and Bell’s eyes widened. They couldn’t believe what Marx was showing them. What he held in his hand was a red jewel, the very one which wards evil away.
“……Marx-san, where….did you……?”
Marx felt a little uneasy about how strongly the two reacted, but he answered their question.
“Huh……? Captain Jack gave this to me yesterday. He said he felt ill when this tool was active. He thought it might be dangerous, so he wanted me to investigate it.”
“…….Did he say where he found it?”
“Ummm……. I didn’t ask for the details, but if I recall, it was in some cabin up in the mountains.”
Yuno had a bad feeling about this.
“I’m going to take this to the Magic Tool Research Institute, but you go on a lot of special missions, so I thought you might know something about this…… w-wait!? Where are you going!?”
Yuno ignored Marx’s pleas as he used his wind magic to fly to the lake. Jack found the jewel yesterday. The bandits were captured half a day ago. Yesterday, he was only with Graham in the morning, and Julius said he was only with Graham briefly in the early afternoon. It was probably after that when Jack found the jewel. After that, it was possible that runaways from the bandits’ hideout may have passed by the lake…… If they did, Graham had nothing to protect him. They might have eaten him. They might have taken him so that they could sell him. There were all sorts of things they could have done to him.
Maybe it was too early to start worrying, but that was the place where Graham and his parents were attacked before. It was possible that those bandits have used that cabin as a rest stop before. If the remaining stragglers go there to rest……
Yuno felt his agitation increase as he sped to Graham’s location without care for anything else.
“……Graham!!”
Yuno shouted once he arrived at the lake. Usually, Graham would have emerged from the cabin, squealing cheerfully, but……
“……No way …….There’s no way this is happening! You can’t be serious!!”
Bell screamed as she trembled in anger. A portion of the fence they built was broken, and the cabin was partly destroyed. Worse yet, the corpses of Graham’s parents were dug up, with about half of their hides skinned off their bodies. In this cruel picture, Graham was nowhere to be found.
……Their worst fears had come to fruition.
“W-what should we do, Yuno!? What happened to Graham!? What do we do!?”
Bell begged Yuno for an answer with tears in her eyes. However, like her, the sight left Yuno in a state of confusion. This was almost certainly the work of the remaining bandits, so the most practical option would be to team up with the Magic Knights that were hunting them. However, it would be difficult to find the others in a forest as wide as this, and there probably weren’t many knights pursuing them in the first place. Finding them would take too much time. There simply wasn’t enough people or time. He couldn’t contact Julius, either. He wasn’t sure what to do……
“………”
After thinking things through, Yuno closed his eyes and took a deep breath. After calming himself down, he reminded himself of why he was here. After a few more seconds, he opened his eyes and said as he calmly observed his surroundings,
“I don’t see any blood, so I think it’s safe to say that Graham hasn’t been killed. Not here, at least. They must have kidnapped him, probably with the goal of eating him later. While it’s true that they might have killed him en route or seriously wounded him to render him immobile, we can’t let negative thoughts like that get to us.”
If you find yourself unable to move because of all your negative thoughts, it’s sometimes necessary to just try doing what you want before thinking about what you should do…….
This was, without a doubt, one of those times……
“First of all, let’s join up with the knights in pursuit of the remaining bandits and find out where they are in their search. After that, we’ll borrow one of their communication devices and contact the Wizard King.”
They were going to do all they can, believing in the possibility that Graham was still alive.
“Let’s go, Bell……. Full power.”
“Y….. yeah…… sniff!”
Upon Yuno’s words, Bell wiped the tears from her face as she looked him in the eyes. Yuno nodded in response with a small smile on his face. He was about to fly off using his wind magic, but……
“Phew, I finally caught up to you…… Why did you do that of a sudden!?”
For the second time that day, he heard a voice call out to him from behind. When he turned around, he saw Marx approaching him with a broom in his hand and sweat on his forehead.
“Marx-san…… You followed me?”
“Well, if you see somebody’s expression change as drastically as yours and then dash off, of course you have to follow…… wait, what is all this!? What happened!?”
He looked around the lakeshore in a panic. Julius had said that Marx was the last person he’d want to find out what he’s been doing, but this situation was different. Even if this was only by chance, Yuno was glad he was here. With Marx here, he’ll be able to contact Julius right away.
“I’ll explain later. For now, I need you to contact the Wizard King for……”
……He realized it mid-sentence. At present, there wasn’t enough people nor enough time. Even if, for argument’s sake, Julius took advantage of his position of authority to send a large number of knights after the bandits, it would take some time to get that many knights together. There was a faster way to get a lot of knights here, and it would leave him with many more knights, too.
“Huh!? That mischievous magic maniac is…… I mean, the Wizard King is involved in this, too!?”
He was a little intrigued when he heard Marx say something rather disrespectful toward Julius, but, anyway, he quickly conveyed his strategy to Marx, who put it into practice.
 ----- Several minutes later, in a forest on the southwest side of Tonan -----
About ten rough-looking men flew through the forest on their brooms.
“Hurry it up, you idiots! They’re gonna catch up to us at this rate!”
A bald man named Garo lead the group, spitting harsh words toward his minions behind him, which slowed him down even further. They were the remaining bandits. They slipped past the Magic Knights, and they were currently on their way to their second base, which was in the Forsaken Realm. Moreover, he had a hemp bag tied to the end of his broom. Wriggling violently inside that bag was……
“SQUEA- SQUEAL! SQUEAL!!”
A baby boar they caught by the lakeshore.
“Shut up, ya damned pig! We’re gonna eat ya the second we get to the base, so sit quiet until then!”
As if to let off some steam, Garo yelled his threats at Graham. Then, one of his followers asked him,
“Come to think of it, boss. Why’d ya take that little flame boar? Even if we sold its hide, we wouldn’t get a lotta money. If we just took its collar, then…… Eek!”
His follower shrunk back in fear.
“……Because…... the base…... was DESTROYED!”
Garo said with a roar as he turned his bloodshot eyes toward his follower.
“All our money and food were taken from us! You realize that, right!? Even if it doesn’t give us a lot of money, I’m gonna steal what I can steal! We’re in this mess in the first place because you’re all slackers!”
“I-I’m sorry! I’m so sor-GAH!”
As the others watched from behind as their boss seized their teammate by the collar and shook him, they looked at each other anxiously.
“……H-hey. He’s been…… kind of…… off lately, hasn’t he?”
“Y-yeah…… it’s like he’s gotten more brutal, or maybe more greedy……”
“Hey! You all sayin’ something!?”
Garo looked back and threatened them as he tried to find the people who spoke so insolently……. And then, by chance, he realized it. There was one too many shadows projected on the ground. When he noticed, he looked up toward the sky. At that moment,
“Slash Magic: Death Scythe!”
Large blades of magic swung down from the sky.
“UWOAAAAAAAAAAAH!!”
The blades of green obstructed the bandits from going forward as they flew before Garo’s eyes with a thunderous roar. The trees around them rumbled loudly as the ground beneath them was cut so deeply that one couldn’t see the bottom. What would’ve become of those bandits if such a thing hit them head-on…..?
“……Kah Kah. Jeez, I told you to live and grow up to be strong, didn’t I?”
Above their heads, the bandits heard a voice filled with a malice and intent to kill that made them shiver. Standing above them on his broom was a tall, thin man with ridiculously large blades extending from his forearms.
“You certainly got yourself kidnapped by a group that doesn’t look all that fun to cut up, eh, brat?”
His mouth upturned into a grotesque smile as he licked his lips and stretched his arms before him.
“Well, whatever. I’ll cut down 80 percent of them, so watch and learn.”
“D…….Disperse! Everyone disperse!!”
To escape the onslaught of attacks that were fired at them, the bandit group broke away from each other like baby spiders escaping their nest. Garo veered to the left with two of his underlings in tow.
“B-boss! That guy, he’s…… the Captain of the Green Mantis! Why is a big wig like him coming after stragglers like us!?”
“Hell if I know!! Just shut up and focus on getting outta……. Huh?”
Before he could finish talking, he noticed another ominous sight. Before his eyes was a woman of peerless beauty clad in armor, standing around as if she was waiting for them. Under normal circumstances, this fact would have made him ecstatic. However, Garo’s face grew grim. Just like with Jack, Garo didn’t know her first-hand, but he has heard terrible rumors. That face, and the way she held herself…… there was little doubt in his mind that this woman was the Captain of the Blue Roses, Charlotte.
“Briar Magic: Corpse-Hunting Briar Tree”
As if to substantiate Garo’s suspicions, thorny briars grew from the ground with unnatural speed to the left and right of him, piling into cone-like structures until they projected into the air like a tower.
“UGAAAAAAAAAH!”
Unable to avoid them, Garo’s two underlings fell victim to her thorns. However, Garo slipped through and escaped. No, he had the feeling that the thorns never aimed for him from the beginning……
“…… Relax. I will not strike you. Graham…… no, a wild boar is in that bag, correct?”
He felt a strange feeling from this beautiful woman who spoke with such a clear, concise voice. Even after only seeing her gorgeous face from a distance, he could tell – this woman was furious.
“Hand that boar over right now. If you do, I’ll have mercy on you and tear your corpse to pieces!!”
“EEEEEEEK!”
His soul practically leapt from his body as he shrieked, trying to get away from her. However, in the direction of his escape stood…...
“Wind Magic: Crescent Kamaitachi”
“Woah!”
Four crescent-shaped blades flew through the air with a howl as they cleanly sliced through the trees around Garo. Past the sounds of one tree after another falling to the ground, he heard voices, both male and female, talking above his head.
“With this, nothing is blocking our view…… we can see this scoundrel’s face more clearly.”
“Not that I wanted to! He’s ugly, dirty, and he has a small-fry kind of vibe! That’s three strikes!”
The two voices he heard came from a handsome black-haired boy and a girl about the size of a doll, who was flying around him.
‘What kind of magic tool is that?’ Garo thought.
Moreover, this became evident once his surroundings were cleared, but…...
“……Hey…… What the hell? …….Why the hell are there so many of you!?”
There was a dozen…… no, there were several dozens of Magic Knights, and they had Garo’s group completely surrounded as they stood by on their broomsticks.
“W-we’re just the remnants of a ruined group of bandits…… why, why are you…..!?”
“……Good question. I wonder about that.”
As Garo groaned, the boy swooped down in front of him with a blank expression and said quietly,
“Maybe you took someone’s kid, or their little brother, or their henchman…… perhaps?”
 Truthfully, even Yuno didn’t expect this many people to come. After all, Yuno only said one thing. He had Marx use his magic to report the situation to Julius, and after that, he had Marx contact the headquarters of the Green Mantis and the Blue Roses. Upon getting in contact with them, the only thing he told them was,
“The remaining bandits have kidnapped a baby boar I was keeping at the lake shore and are now on the run.”
That’s all he said before joining up with the rest of the knights in pursuit of the bandits. While they were searching, an astonishing number of Green Mantis knights and Blue Roses knights had gathered. When he asked why they were all here, they said their Captains ordered them to join the hunt. Even the Captains themselves joined the hunt, and they both looked like they were searching for blood.
Thus, their little hunting team became a large and fierce group, and with no hesitation, they utilized their mobility and self-discipline to find and hunt down the remaining bandits in a flash.
“Kah Kah. You damned brat. You used us. You have guts, I’ll give you that.”
As Yuno approached Garo, Jack poked at Yuno’s shoulder with the tip of his blade.
“I didn’t use you guys, I just couldn’t think of another- Ow. That hurts. It’s bleeding.”
“……W-well, it doesn’t matter to me what happens to some wild boar. There have been reports that the remaining bandits carried the Original Sin, so I came here because I thought we should arrest them as soon as possible.”
Charlotte said with a slightly red face as she approached the two of them.
“I just fed that wild boar on a whim……. Huh?”
Charlotte shuddered as if she just realized something very serious. She then grasped the hilt of her sword tightly, summoning briars from her sword that wrapped around Yuno’s neck.
“…….You bastard, don’t tell me…… y-you saw me…… bringing food to that boar?”
“What are you talking about? I saw you two leaving from the lake shore, so I just thought you might’ve met Graha-Ow. That hurts. Um, this really doesn’t suit my character, so……”
“Shit……. Shit! Just a little further…… and yet I get stopped by this group of idiots…… Shit!!”
As he watched those three talk back and forth, Garo cursed in a low voice.
“Ah, I forgot. You’re here, too.”
Bell said, before continuing in her usual loud voice,
“You’re the idiot here! Now, hurry up and return Graham to us!”
“……Wait, Bell. He’s acting stange.”
Yuno stopped Bell, who looked like she could bite Garo at any moment, and studied Garo. His breathing was rough, his eyes were bloodshot, and he was clenching his teeth so hard that a thin trail of blood oozed from his mouth.
‘This is just like that time with Zable……!’
“Shit……. Shit! SHIT SHIT SHIT SHIT SHIT SHIT SHIT SHIIIIT!!”
Garo screamed as if he had gone insane. Then, a pure white grimoire emerged from his chest, and from his back spread countless invisible tentacles, which bent and wriggled about. The Original Sin had started going berserk.
“SQUE-SQUEAL! SQUEAL!!”
At that moment, Graham’s voice could be heard from the bag at Garo’s feet. Just being exposed to this much magic must be painful for him. It must be scary.
“Graham!”
Without a moment’s delay, Yuno and Bell activated their mana skin and ran toward Graham.
“H-hey! Don’t be reckless!”
Charlotte called out in an attempt to stop him, but Jack yelled over her.
“No, he has the right idea…… Hey, you all! Stop that bandit’s attacks and support that kid with all you’ve got! Don’t let that bandit lay a single finger on that kid, or the bag at his feet!!”
Under Jack’s command, a massive simultaneous attack from all nearby knights began.
“Shit……Shit, Shit, SHIT!”
Garo’s tentacles repelled every attack that was fired at him as he wreaked havoc on his surroundings. However, each tentacle that tried to reach Yuno and Bell was slashed apart, torn apart by briars, or stopped by some other magic spell. One after another, they vanished before reaching Yuno. Yuno himself used his wind magic to repel any tentacle that made its way toward Graham, but there were too many.
“Graham!!”
Just as he was only a few steps away from Graham, a single tentacle weaved its way through his attacks and swung down toward Graham. At that moment……
“Time Restraining Magic: Chrono Stasis!”
“…… Huh?”
……. Time stopped.
Garo stopped. The tentacles stopped. Yuno and Bell stopped. All the magic knights around them stopped. They were all wrapped in an absurdly large sphere of magic, where all movement ceased. Before Yuno could begin to process what happened, the sphere of magic slowly converged until it surrounded only Garo. The tentacles had stopped moving, but, before long, they lost their power and vanished into the air.  Yuno was released from Julius’s time prison, causing him to fall on his backside, where he continued to stay as he watched.
“……I see. The tentacles disappear if its owner is rendered powerless…… For caution’s sake, I stopped time over a large area, but it looks like that wasn’t necessary.”
The person who created this situation, Julius, said this smoothly as he descended slowly in front of Yuno.
“Sorry I’m late, Yuno-kun, Bell-kun. You did a great job…...”
He said in an incredibly casual tone of voice. With his tranquil smile, Yuno was…… no, surely everyone was overwhelmed by his presence.
As soon as he got here, he cast such powerful magic over such a wide area and, with surgeon-like precision, imprisoned only Garo. Most of all, he did all this in an instant, with no prep work required. Everyone here knew that he was absurdly powerful. However, they didn’t realize what that meant until they saw his power in action before their eyes. He was the Clover Kingdom’s most powerful Magic Knight – The Wizard King. As Yuno thought, the wall he and Asta had to surmount was absurdly high.
……. However,
“Are you hurt?”
Julius turned toward Yuno and held out his hand. By reflex, Yuno almost took his hand, but,
“……….”
He reconsidered, lowering his hand and suppressing the light trembling in his legs as he forced his weight upon them,
“……I’m fine. Thank you for your help.”
And stoop up firmly with his own power on his own two feet.
‘Someday, I’ll climb over that wall.’
He held such thoughts in his heart as he stood with his own strength.
“Ha ha. I guess…… you didn’t need my help, huh…….?”
‘I could have sworn I’ve had a conversation just like this with someone else before…...’
Realizing that this wasn’t the time nor place to think about that, he dropped the idea and started thinking to himself warmly,
‘The next generation after me……. Yami, William, and the others are already actively performing great service as Captains. The generation after them have a strong will, and they are growing steadily but surely.’
Through them – through the power of those who have inherited his will – the Order of Magic Knights, and this country, is gradually being reborn into the form Julius has always wished for. Rather than a few decades, after ten years…… no, less than that. In a few years, the future that Julius has wished for could very well come true.
Faced with such youthful power, these thoughts were renewed within Julius.
“……Well, I don’t plan on giving this seat to anyone just yet~”
“……Huh, what was that?”
“Nothing at all…... This isn’t the time for us to get lost in sentimentality. We have to help Graham.”
Julius said as if to end the subject, grabbing the hemp bag and opening it swiftly. Upon doing so, Graham leaped out in an instant, jumping into Julius’s chest with a happy squeal.
“Graham, are you okay!? Are you hurt!?”
“It looks like…… you’re okay. Thank goodness……”
Once Bell and Yuno came closer, Graham squealed cheerfully once more. It was good that Graham wasn’t hurt physically, but they were also happy that the ordeal didn’t appear to wound him emotionally, too.
……Instead, considering all the aftermath they’ll have to deal with, the reports that will need to be written, and the incoming lecture from Marx, perhaps they’re the ones who are going to come out of this ordeal traumatized……. Well, those are minor problems.
“Graham…… I’m sorry. You must have been so scared. You did a great job getting through this.”
Julius pet Graham’s head with a few tears in his eyes.
“You’re safe now, so let’s go home with Papa and-
“Squeal, squeal!”
CRUNCH
With full force, Graham chomped down on Julius’s fingers.
 “……Jeez, I’ve just about had it with you! So you were raising an unusual pet, huh……? That the kind of thing an extravagant bachelor with too much time and money on his hands would do! Stop playing around and get back to work!”
“……Yes…… Yes……. Yes……. I’m sorry…….”
The others dealt with the aftermath smoothly while Marx continued to lecture Julius. That said, there wasn’t much for Yuno to do. Transporting the bandits they captured, listening to magic tool researchers, he finished all that a while ago, so right now he was chatting with Jack and Charlotte right next to Julius as he was getting lectured.
Specifically…….
“……We plan to release Graham into the wild soon.”
He felt that he should tell them what they were planning to do. As he looked at Yuno holding Graham when he said this, Jack scratched his head and replied,
“I don’t really care, but…… Well, that makes sense. From the start, he’s a wild animal, so he shouldn’t be closed up with humans. Plus, he could get rolled up in some bad news like what just happened today. Once he’s healed up, you should let him go.”
“B-but…….. is there a place where a young boar can live safely without their parents protecting them?”
Charlotte looked a little upset as she said this. Incidentally, a few moments ago, she took Graham away while Yuno wasn’t looking and told him,
“I’m sorry for all the mean things I said earlier. I didn’t mean it when I said I didn’t care about you. I love you!”
Bell happened to see this and reported it to Yuno, but……. Back to the main subject. At that moment, Marx finally took a breath in the middle of his lecture, allowing Julius a chance to join the conversation.
“……We both searched extensively, but we couldn’t find a good place for him. Do either of you know of anywhere good?”
Jack and Charlotte glanced at each other before replying simultaneously,
“Well, if that’s what you’re going to ask, there’s someone more suited to answering your question than we are.”
“Moreover, it’s highly likely that she’ll be joining us any moment now……”
“……Huh?”
Just as Julius tilted his head in confusion, he heard a preposterously loud voice resound through the air.
“Wizard King! I thank you for catching the bandits that escaped!”
The one who descended from the sky with such a loud voice was none other than Mereoleona Vermillion. She was a gallant woman who was serving as a substitute Captain of the Crimson Lions for Fuegoleon. However, before she assumed the role of Captain, she……
“……I see! If I recall, she spends over 300 days a year living her life in the forests and fields of the wild. She probably knows a lot about what we’re looking for.”
“Yes. Then, I wonder if you should give Graham to her.”
As Julius and Charlotte spoke to each other, Mereoleona walked toward them as she laughed heartily,
“And you even managed to capture a copy of the Original Sin without destroying it! As I would expect from our Wizard King! With this, we’ll be able to analyze it easily, and…… hm?”
As she was speaking, her eyes sharpened with a piercing gaze when she spotted Graham. She then licked her lips and said,
“Ho hoh, you captured quite the tasty-looking boar. Once we get back, let’s cook him right away!”
…...For now, at least, they all decided that there was no way they were leaving Graham with her.
 After that, Graham was deathly afraid of Mereoleona, so Yuno and Bell picked Graham up and carried him a little further away to put distance between them while Julius explained their circumstances to her.
“I see! If that’s how it is, then there’s plenty of great places I can show you!”
Mereoleona struck her chest with her fist as she said this.
On a side note, earlier, Jack and Charlotte guided Marx and the other knights home. Before Jack left, he stared at Graham with a profound gaze. At that moment, Bell dubbed over his thoughts with a whisper,
“Well then, boy. Make sure you don’t lose to those humans.”
Back to the present, Mereoleona continued talking as loudly as ever.
“In the natural realm, there are places that are considered “child-rearing spots”! They are considered as such because they have plenty of food and little territorial conflict. I know of several such places!”
At that moment she suddenly went up to Julius’s face, and lowered her voice as she asked,
“By the way, Wizard King. What kind of trick were you trying to pull this time?”
Julius smiled the same as ever as he replied,
“……..Now, what ever could you be talking about?”
“Don’t play dumb with me…… with the amount of personal connections you have, you could have easily asked plenty of other people to take care of that boar. And yet, you chose that boy.”
Mereoleona glanced at Yuno before giving Julius a smile filled with hidden meaning,
“You created a situation where you would raise that boar with that kid, the genius chosen by one of the great spirits, so that you could see with your own eyes how he trains and what kind of growth he has achieved……. Am I wrong?”
“……You’re half-right, but you’re also half-wrong. It really was a coincidence that I was found by Yuno-kun.”
Julius had a small smile on his face as he gave up on the idea of keeping it a secret. She, too, is probably just asking because of her own personal interest, and he didn’t want to be that secretive, so he figured it was fine to tell her.
“However, to design counter-measures against the Eye of the Midnight Sun……. I wanted to thoroughly understand how he fights with Sylph, Sylph’s own personality, and how friendly she is toward other humans. Since we would be raising Graham together, I just figured I’d use the opportunity to observe him.”
In truth, he would be able to see how Yuno fights at the Royal Knights Selection Exam, and he can create as many opportunities as he likes to talk with Bell. However, that would just be for “work”. Frankly speaking, the quickest way to learn about someone is to do a task together that requires one to rely on the other. It was a little unscrupulous of him to do this, but he took advantage of that accident so that they could work together. Moreover, keeping the fact he was raising a flame boar a secret was never all that important to him in the first place.  His goal was to get closer to Yuno by sharing a secret together. As a result, he was able to watch Yuno train on several different occasions, and he has a better understanding of Bell’s magic and temperament.
Most of all, he thinks that they are on friendlier terms now. Even though this all happened by chance, he gained so much from it.
“So, no tricks from me. I just nudged things in the right direction, just a little bit. I truly did want somebody to help me take care of Graham.
“……I see. Then, what about Jack and Charlotte?”
Mereoleona happily continued hounding Julius for more. It’s not that she wanted to find his weakness or anything, she just wanted to satisfy her intellectual curiosity. After all, she was a woman who put all her energy into everything she did, no matter what it was.
“You said that they just happened to find out, but…… someone of your caliber wouldn’t make a blunder as foolish as letting your magical power get sensed by someone else. Well, even though Jack having an evil soul and taking away your magic tool was a miscalculation on your part, you got them involved on purpose so that you would have personnel who could take action in the event of an emergency like today’s right?”
“……..I wonder about that?”
“Fu fu……….WAH HAHA HAH! You truly are one crafty fellow!”
She slapped Julius’s back and laughed heartily once more…… At that moment.
“Squeal!! Squeal!”
Graham rushed forward with all his strength and tackled Mereoleona’s feet. Over and over. Though he was terrified by her just a short while ago, he continued to crash his tiny body against her.
“W-what’s wrong, Graham? You’re so riled up……”
Julius picked Graham up, but Graham continued trying to threaten Mereoleona.
“I know she’s often called a boorish woman, and I often wonder why I have to be so on guard around one of my own subordinates, but she’s not an enemy.”
“I’m not sure what you’re trying to say about me, but…… most likely, when he saw me hitting your back, he thought I was bullying you.”
“What……?”
He said as he looked at Graham, who pressed his face into his chest.
“Squea-squeal……”
“………..”
It was the sound flame boars make when they want their parent’s attention. The fact he was crying out to Julius in this way meant……
“Ha, ha ha…… that can’t be right. Graham, even now, you keep biting me so hard, and yet……”
He turned his face away from Mereoleona, as well as from Yuno and Bell, who were rushing toward them, as he said this. Mereoleona looked a little surprised before saying,
“Oh? If he was biting you, then that means he really loved you…… Biting is one of the attachment behaviors of young flame boars. The fact he was biting you is proof that he thought of you as his parent.”
Everyone was shocked silent when they heard this. Bell represented everyone when she said,
“Huh? Then…… Graham though of the Wizard King as his father from the start?”
“Graham……”
As if in response to Julius calling out his name, Graham made the same cries as before, as if he wanted his parent to dote on him more.
He recalled all the days he has spent with Graham. He recalled watching Graham enjoy his baths, Graham’s sweet face as he slept, Graham devouring his food with delight, Graham energetically rushing up to his feet. Fond memories came rushing forth, one after another…….
‘I want to be with this child forever,’ Julius thought.
……But, even so……
“……We can’t. If a wild animal stays with humans for too long, they’ll remember their time with humans far too well, and they won’t be able to return to the wild……We shouldn’t stay together any longer than we already have.”
Hearing those words, Yuno couldn’t help but clench his fists, and Bell looked down with tears in her eyes. They only started raising Graham halfway through, yet it hurt this much to say goodbye to him. Surely, the pain Julius is feeling right now must be even worse……
“……But, you know, Graham.”
Even so, Julius only wiped his eyes a single time before smiling at Graham the way he always did.
“I’ll never forget the time I spent with you. And, I truly did think of you like my own child…… Even if we are apart, that will never change.”
He hugged Graham tightly but gently, and told him quietly,
“I love you, Graham. Thank you……. For thinking of me as your father.”
“Squea-squeal…...”
“Now then, shall we go!?”
As if to destroy the moving atmosphere between them, Mereoleona declared this as she smashed her fists together. Seeing her behave so warlike, Yuno had a bad feeling about what she was going to say when he asked,
“Go……? Go where? It’s not like we’re planning to release Graham into the wild this very second.”
“You fool! There are several different child-rearing spots! We’re all going to preview each spot together to find out which environment suits him the best!”
She said as she looked at him with cold eyes. Then, her mouth upturned into a ferocious grin,
“All these child-rearing spots lie past strong magic zones and dungeons. Doesn’t that sound fun!? Wah hah hah! Isn’t this splendid!? You can utilize the results of your training while we visit each power spot!”
“Sorry. I just remembered some urgent business I need to attend to, so I need to go home.”
Yuno and Bell ran away with subsonic speed, but it was futile. Mereoleona instantly created fire magic in the shape of two lion’s paws from her head and caught them.
“S-someone save us! We’re being kidnapped! A spirit and human are getting kidnapped by a wild animal!”
“Please say something, your highness! There’s no way this is legal!”
Bell cried out in tears while Yuno, in an act that was very out of character for him, begged Julius to do something. He was the only one in this situation with the power to stop her, but…….
“………Umm, sorry, you two…….”
Julius said with an incredibly awkward expression on his face as he held Graham lovingly.
“I-I think that being suddenly thrust into a strange area would make him anxious, so…… could you come with us?”
“……..Huuuuuuuuuh?”
The Wizard King – Julius Novachrono.
He's the hero of Clover Kingdom, a source of inspiration for all Magic Knights and all the Kingdom’s citizens……
“Hey Graham~ You want everyone to be with you, too, right?”
“Squea-Squeal~”
…….He’s a huge softie, overindulgent, and he can be a bit of a bother. He had an ordinary side to him that you could find in any ordinary middle-aged man, but……
That's just the sort of person Julius is.
--- The Man Known as Julius: The End ---
W-what am I supposed to say at the end of this chapter? I’m just too sad that they have to say goodbye to Graham ;A;
I’m also sad that this was the last untranslated Book of Yuno chapter. I’m glad to have finished it, because it’s such a good book, but I…… I want more.

the RFA reacting to MC listening to creepy pasta
I’ll admit its been a while since i listened to any new creepypasta so these are pretty old ones but i figured since they arent mine and i dont really name them in most cases i should like them  jumin - russian sleep experiment yoosung - rapid blink (a my little pony grim dark fanfiction) saeyoung - the man who ate newborns zen -  mr. widemouth  and  dear abbey jaehee - to be honest i cant remember this ones title it was really good and i cant find it anymore so if anyone knows it send it my way cuz i only heard it once at a live reading at sanjapan I’d love to hear it again though
Jumin
·        You were listening while knitting in his home office
·        He was working at his desk and paying no attention to the voice playing from your phone
·        Absently he comments that the piano background music was pleasant
·        You smile because of course that’s the part he notices.
·        As the story goes on you two sit in amicable silence listening to the story
·        Then a sickening crunch rings through the air and you see Jumin grimace out of the corner of your eye
·        “darling? Was that your story?”
·        “huh? Oh yes it was.”
·        “that sounded sickening” and indeed he was a little pale though you may have missed it if you didn’t know him so well
·        You tried to stifle your laugh “yeah I think it was supposed to be the character’s arm being crushed.”
·        “what?”
·        “you weren’t listening to the story were you?”
·        “I listened to the music”
·        “here you should listen to this next one it’s my favorite.” You said moving to sit in his lap as you began the next video
·        “its about this scientific experiment, where they locked people up and didn’t let them sleep. Eventually they end up going crazy. They mutilate and cannibalize themselves, super creepy.” You explained excitedly
·        He looked at you concerned for a moment before speaking
·        “is this what you were discussing with my new assistant yesterday before we went to lunch”
·        “yes! Actually she’s even more into it than I am she gave me some good suggestions.”
  Yoosung
·        “Puppy? I’m gonna run to the convenience store real quick okay?”
·        He leaned back in his computer chair to look at you upside down as you stood behind him
·        “okay MC! oh if they have honey”
·        “I know yoosungie I’ll grab you some if they have them!” you said leaning over him to kiss his nose “love you. I’ll be back soon.”
·        You grabbed your purse and headed out the door
·        A few minutes after you had left Yoosung noticed you had left you phone
·        Picking it up he noticed the quiet words that came from the headphones
·        Curious he put on the headphones and began to listen
·        It was a fanfiction. He recognized the characters from a show you watched every Saturday.
·        A cute reboot of a cartoon from your childhood hi figured the story would follow the same plotlines of friendship and togetherness
·        But as he listened it took a darker turn
·        The main character was trapped, stuck with no resources aside from the occasional clone of herself that spawned into whatever hellscape she was trapped in
·        Yoosung was horrified listening to the story describe how the broken and desperate character would slaughter her clone to build necessities in a hopeless search for escape.
·        By the time you got back he was in tears hugging your plush version of the character
·        You rushed to comfort him and saw what he had listened to
·        “oh puppy I’m so sorry I didn’t think you’d listen to my grimdark fiction!
·        “why do YOU listen to it?!? I thought you liked that show because it was cute!”
·        “I do! It’s so cute. But I like the horror stories to. The contrast is, it’s fun.” You explained gently combing your fingers through his hair
·        “it actually makes me think of you puppy” you say absently as you feel him starting to calm down
·        “what?!?!?!” he cried shooting up from your arms in an instant
·        “well your so cute and I love that your cute, but you can also be tough like when you went to the hacker’s headquarters for me. Your cute and manly, like that show is cute and can be scary. Your everything I love.” You explained
 Saeyoung
-        He knew you liked creepy pasta he had seen your YouTube history
-        What he didn’t know was that you had it downloaded on your phone to listen to as you fell asleep
-        So when the silence of Rikas apartment is broken by the squeal of car breaks and shattering glass he was justifiably terrified
-        He was busting through the bedroom door to check on you
-        But all he saw was you halfway off the bed mid lunge for your phone
-        he watched you finish your tumble to the floor fumbling with your phone to stop the story that was playing
-        You looked embarrassed and a little sleep addled
-        “Sorry I thought I took that one out of my playlist”
-        He stood stock still for a moment
-        “I didn’t mean to scare you sorry! It should have been deleted its way to loud I think I did something wrong when I downloaded it.”
-        “what? MC was that your phone?” he asked confused
-        “yeah its um it’s the, the story where the guy tries to kidnap the new born but gets in a car crash, hence you know the um screech crash clang. Sorry”
-        His back hit the wall and he slid to the floor wearily
-        “MC you’re going to be the death of me”
-        “um I, I got it off my playlist this time.” You offer “I think.” You add under your breath
-        He held out his hand to you and you sheepishly placed you phone in his hands quickly he tapped away before handing your phone back to you
-        “thanks” you say softly crawling to sit beside him on the floor
-        “so living with a bomb, and being hunted by a hacker isn’t spooky enough for you? You’ve gotta listen to scary stories too?” he asked tiredly
-        “well the bomb and the hacker, they aren’t scary if you’re here. I mean even if the worst happens I think it would be okay cuz I got to meet you”
-        He groaned and let his head fall to his knees
-        “you really are going to kill me aren’t you” he said as you saw his ears turn pink
 Zen
-        Zen thought You were adorable literally just the cutest thing possible
-        That’s why he was shocked when one of his cast member who was a big horror fan mentioned a scary internet story and you immediately jumped into the conversation
-        “mr. creepypasta? Or creepypasta jr. ?” you asked
-        “Oh mr. creepypasta! I didn’t think you’d listen to creepypasta which ones your favorite?” the cast member asked
-        “nothing beats “MR.Widemouth” for me gotta love a monster that tries to make you do his dirty work for him”
-        “oh definitely but I like “dear Abby” myself that one is chilling
-        You spent the rest of the shoot chatting with him quietly at the far side of the studio so you two didn’t disturb the shooting
-        Zen had to admit it was getting to him
-        You were HIS girlfriend why didn’t he know about this interest of yours.
-        And why were you so happily chatting with another guy about it
-        He confronts you on the way home
-        “I knew you weren’t into it Zenny it’s not a big deal”
-        “you talked to him all day MC. you know I’d listen to you right? Even if it’s not my thing why didn’t you tell me?”
-        “here how about we do a spa night tonight and I’ll show you my favorite so you don’t feel left out next time”
-        He chuckled and kissed your temple
-        “well I can’t turn down my princess can I”
-        So that night you ran a bath for the both of you
-        You leaned against his chest and each did a facemask as you queued up the playlist on your phone
-        You could feel him tense at every sound effect and could hear him grimace at the stories more gruesome details
-        You chuckled a bit before saying “zenny you don’t have to listen to them you know”
-        “just, why are they all so dark?”
-        “because that’s the point their supposed to be spooky”
-        He tried he really did. He listened until you two where drying off after the relaxing soak
-        He sighed dejectedly “you were right jagi it really isn’t my thing” he said as he toweled your hair dry
-        “but you tried and that means so much to me babe” you said leaning up to steal a kiss from him
 Jaehee
-        She knew about them but she wasn’t a fan of horror
-        So she had never paid any attention to those videos as she browsed the internet
-        And she certainly didn’t expect to walk into the café one morning before opening to you pulling a cake out of the oven and listening to a deep voice graphically describing a head wound
-        “MC what on earth are you listening to?”
-        “it’s a creepypasta!” you chirped brightly
-        “those scary stories from youtube” she questioned further as she made her way around the counter
-        “yeah in this one this guys tries to cure his depression but cutting out a chunk of his own brain”
-        “that’s awfull” she exclaimed
-        “well yeah. It doesn’t end to well for him either”
-        “of course not!” She said shaking her head as she tied her apron on to help you prepare to open the café.
-        The day went on fairly normally but as you closed she turned to you
-        “that story, it’s not true.”
-        You looked at her a little confused before nodding “of course not”
-        “no one could survive that” she muttered to herself
-        “no one” you agreed growing more puzzled by the second
-        “how could people even come up with something so awful” she asked you setting a broom to the side
-        “I don’t know? Jaehee are you okay?” you ask looking her in the eyes
-        “I, yes MC I’m fine. The details in that story simply shook me up I suppose”
-        You were careful from then on about listening to your stories only with headphones
-        Jaehee wasn’t weak by any stretch of the imagination, but if something made her uncomfortable than you weren’t going to push it.
-        You loved her after all

God I love ur writing style so I trust ur taste: any fic recs? (doesn’t have to be BKDK, but u know
OOOOOOOOOOOOO OKAY! HERE WE GO!
Before I start, I want you to know that I tried to tag all the big bad warnings, but PLEASE CHECK TAGS on the fic itself before reading in case I’ve missed anything! Now, my favorite bkdk fics vary a lot. There are, of course, the ones a lot of people know:
Before Midnight by @driftingglass~[Explicit] (28/28) (211K words)
Warnings: -Graphic Depiction of Violence, Underage-
https://archiveofourown.org/works/11353440/chapters/25410591
Izuku Midoriya takes the same train to and from school Monday through Friday, morning and night. His only company during these lonesome hours comes in the form of another boy his age—a teen with scarred hands and blood gem eyes, a stranger with ash-blond hair who walks in a shroud of danger and mystery. "Would you stop with that fucking muttering, idiot?"And before Izuku can find his footing, his life becomes a full-blown collision course thanks to walking cannonball Katsuki Bakugou. (And along the way he may have found the missing fuel to his fire).
Bluebird by EtherealBing ~ [Explicit] (7/7) (53K words)
https://archiveofourown.org/works/11353440/chapters/25410591
Dialing a wrong number was no unusual occurrence. Everyone did it once in a while, and Katsuki was well aware of that fact.However, possessing this knowledge made it no less aggravating for him to discover — a full two minutes into his rant about his day — that he’d been venting his frustrations to a complete stranger. As if that wasn't enough, said stranger was also inexplicably determined to hear his story to its end.
Don’t Set Your Drink Down by @crandberrycrush ~ [Explicit] (21/21) (88K words)
https://archiveofourown.org/works/13868400/chapters/31903419
With sudden clarity Izuku realized he had broken the first rule of going out. Never leave your drink unattended.
And then there are the lesser known, but insanely good ones I LOVE:
Twenty-Four by SharkbaitSekki ~ [Teen] (1/1) (15K words)
Warnings: -Graphic Depictions of Violence-
https://archiveofourown.org/works/13167162
Izuku gets himself kidnapped, and Katsuki is dragged into it with him as they face villains with particularly terrifying illusion Quirks. It ends up being a living nightmare, but Katsuki can't bring himself to regret following Izuku into it all. Because between the pain and the terror, between the lies and the illusions, between life and death, at least they can always hang onto one another. Even if everything else is fake, they know that they will always be real.
Two Guys and Lots of Fries by hottamale ~ [Explicit] (1/1) (3K words)
https://archiveofourown.org/works/17421971
“Ten Guys! I wanna go to Ten Guys; they have the best french fries,” he smiled while looking at Katsuki expectantly.Katsuki frowned. “We just passed it though.”“So turn around.”“And waste my gas? Shits expensive Deku.”Izuku breathed in, held his breath for a moment, and let it back out. He put a hand on Katsuki’s bicep and blinked up at him, bottom lip jutting out into a pout. “Please? I’ll make it up to you.”
And the classics like:
Indestructible (Emotionally Speaking, That Is) by iknewaman ~ [Explicit] (1/1) (8.8K words)
https://archiveofourown.org/works/13314555
“Alright, buddy,” Katsuki says, swatting at the weeping guy with the broom. “Time to clear out.”--AU where Bakugou works at the cinema and Izuku is the cinema-goer who keeps coming in to cry at sad movies
~And then there are the non-BNHA fics I ADORE~
First, for Mob Psycho:
Butterfly Effect by Frecklefrog ~ [Teen] (17/17) (69K Words)
https://archiveofourown.org/works/11613168/chapters/26108970
“Go, Mob, melt it!” screeches Reigen, and Mob extends his hand, already coated with the swirling blue discs of his aura. Only-Only he can’t exorcise the spirit, because there isn’t one, and the boy is staring at him with wide blue eyes. His hand is glowing the same yellow as the basket.(in which Teruki meets Mob much, much earlier.)
Then there’s Drarry:
Who We Are In The Shadows by Quicksilvermaid ~ [Explicit] (12/12) (99.7K words)

What happens when you’re forced to see that you were wrong?

Sweet as Cinnamon by SimplyTsundere ~ [Explicit] (46/46) (226K Words)
https://archiveofourown.org/works/5843308/chapters/13467421
Wrightvale, Georgia - Sergeant Marco Bodt receives a call about a noise complaint in his own apartment building while on duty. Surprisingly, the call was for the new neighbor that moved in the night before. The door opens to a very intoxicated Jean Kirschtein who mistakes the good officer for the male stripper his friends had hired for his welcome party. Hilarious antics ensue in a tale about how two broken people learn to put the pieces together with one another after life has dealt them a rather unfortunate hand of cards that may or may not come back to haunt."Qui craint de souffrir, il souffre déjà de ce qu’il craint." ~ "He who fears suffering is already suffering that which he fears." There are days when he wakes up from another time and then starts to ask him about school, homework, part time jobs. And Mo GuanShan responds as if only a day has passed since their teenage years ended.
Sticking Around by @agapaic ~ [Mature] (2/2) (14K words)

‘You’re awfully bold lately.’I know, Guan Shan thinks. Love is making me stupid and brave.‘D’you mind?’ he asks. He knows his gestures of affection are hard to win—harder to receive of their own accord. Something—this morning’s epiphany—has made him want to give them more freely. But he was right, earlier: He Tian likes the challenge. Fear stabs at him, precise. Maybe He Tian won’t want him anymore.‘Not in the slightest,’ He Tian replies.

Guan Shan's father leaves his family for work in New York at the beginning of the First World War — and is never heard from again. In the autumn of 1928, thirteen years later, Guan Shan makes his own way to lower Manhattan's Little China to find him, with only the name of the man who signed his father's contract.When he finds himself falling into the world of America's Roaring Twenties and Tong Wars, and everyone he meets is not quite as they seem, finding his father turns out to be much more complicated than he’d thought.
Hush by @agapaic ~ [Explicit] (6/6) (26K words)
Warning: Rape/NonCon, Underage
https://archiveofourown.org/works/8380123/chapters/19198165
He Tian sees something he shouldn’t, and something he almost wishes he hasn’t. He’s never been a very good knight in shining armour.
Honestly, if you’re into 19 Days and TianShan I recommend everything by Agapaic! They’re my favorite writer on AO3~
I hope this gives you an idea of what I read and maybe you find one of your favorites too! Enjoy!

Somewhere
 Once upon a time, there was a princess, so the wicked witch hated her so much that she kidnapped her, a charming prince was willing to save her....blah, blah, blah...
You closed abruptly the book and exhaled frustrated, keeping the secret tired and overwhelming, especially with all the "lies" there were about witches thanks to popular culture.
No matter what happened, the result was always the same, the last time ended in trials against the witches since then you had agreed that you would not say anything about your existence again, you would simply remain in the shadows protecting the world from any danger.
You settled in the chair, looked up into the forest, after some incidents you decided to live in a remote place, of course, you knew about the stories that were going on, you didn't care, when you saw some curious one you offered them some of the fruits you harvested, pretending that you were nothing more than a woman who lived in a quiet place.
Then you looked up at the little campfire you lit in the yard to cook one of your potions, the flames glowed strangely, you snort, you knew that meant.
"There will be problems, the Shadows are very restless, nothing good, I think I should start preparing some things just in case," you told your cat.
The cat lazily raised his head, wagged his tail and stretched to show his support.
 New York
 "Cap, where are you? Clint questioned.
"In position, has anyone seen Cloak?” Steve replied as he peeked out to try to spot Tyrone.
"In the shadows, watching as usual," Tandy replied.
"We can't miss any chance, if they take the experiment, we'll be in serious trouble," Natasha reminded them.
Tandy approached carefully and silently, would take advantage to "feed" on the hopes of the opponents and thus leave the way clear to their companions, reached the first, felt powerful as every time he did that. On the other hand, Ty was attentive to the movements of his partner, for no reason would he allow someone to damage her.
Once the road was clear, Dagger informed others that they could already enter, Tyrone took care of taking them to where his partner was.
Natasha went in with Tandy, the place seemed empty, and they began to suspect that something was not right. The rest waited outside, hiding, in case they had to do some kind of intervention.
"Guys, this is weird, there's nobody," Natasha reported by the communicator.
"Don't let your guard down, it can be a trap," Steve ordered.
They did not count on their enemies having thought of all the possibilities there would be, however, the superhero team never suspected the secret weapon with which they would attack them.
The girls' screams were heard, without hesitation, the rest of the team came in to help them, they were found unconscious.
“Ty... I think we should run away, it looks like it's a trap...”
A gas was beginning to appear in the room, they had no idea if it was poisonous or what it might cause them so as Tyrone could wrap covering the team with his cape to take them to safety.
 Somewhere
 The team showed up in the woods, Natasha and Tandy woke up, everyone looked confused.
"Ty, where are we?” Tandy questioned.
"I just thought about going to a place that kept us safe, but there was an alteration in the Loa...”
“Who are you and what do you want?” You questioned when you saw them.
They immediately set their sights on the broom in your left hand.
"Well... we are the Avengers," Tony replied as if it were obvious.
"The Avengers?" you repeat.
"Come on, how can you not know us? How can you not meet the famous Tony Stark?” Tony said incredulously.
On the other hand, Steve didn't take his eyes off you, there was something about you that caught his eye.
"I don't know anyone by that name.”
"I think we travelled through the Loa," Cloak interjected.
"Loa? You mean the Shadows?”
Tandy and Ty looked at each other, probably that's how you knew the Loa, and the others knew it as the Dark Dimension.
"Yes, maybe there was a glitch and we finished... here," Tandy said.
"And what do you want? Are you coming to attack or something?”
"No, no, we were on a mission... we're the good guys, we're superheroes,” Steve replied.
"Superheroes? Like in the cartoons?”
"Don't they exist here? So, what are you? Who defends the Earth?” Natasha asked.
"I'm a witch and that's our job," you answered.
"A witch? Of course, like in fairy tales," Tony mocked.
"Yes, I'm a witch...”
"Come on, you're an adult, stop joking," Tony said an annoying.
"Last week I met with my witch friends and did broom races, which usually have different speeds and even automatics," you made fun of him.
Steve tried not to laugh, Tony rolled his eyes when he detected the sarcasm of your voice.
"Sure, sometimes I turn children into mice and so many others I eat them alive and never see their families again and you know, my cat speaks too," you continued and pointed out to your cat who had just come to sit next to you.
This time your tone was serious, making everyone doubt, they still couldn't discern whether you were a friend or an enemy.
"Are you serious?” Steve a little discouraged.
"No, I don't do any of that, my cat is a normal cat, well it's very perceptive, but sometimes those stupid clichés are very tired, you know, the typical ones that the evil witch and the princess in distress, that's why I live here... okay, it seems that you are from another dimension, do those stories exist in your world?”
"Yes, they're very famous, people tell to the little girls," Tandy replied.
"By the way, I'm Natasha, this is Tandy, the guy in the cape is Tyrone, you know Tony, the one with the shield is Steve, and the one with the arrows is Clint.”
"Y/N, I suppose now I must find a way to return you to your universe.”
"Maybe it's not necessary, we can come back the same way we got here," Clint replied.
"I don't think that's necessary, Ty can bring us back, just as we got here, can you?” Natasha said, looking at him.
"Yes, of course, no problem," Cloak replied for sure.
"I'm sorry for the inconvenience we caused you," Steve said with a little sadness.
Everyone came together so Tyrone could cover them with the cape and be able to return to their dimension and finish the mission, they stayed for a few minutes like this until they realized nothing happened.
"I think... you have trouble getting back from where you came from,” you said.
"No... I don't understand what's going on,” Ty replied confusedly.
"The Shadows are back to normal, I don't think it's possible for you to return," with your head pointing out the flames of the campfire.
"What do we do now? Steve questioned.
Without saying anything you entered your house, you needed your divination tools, you could predict those alterations, although that didn't mean they happened exactly like that.
"Where is she going?” Tandy asked in a murmur.
"Maybe she's bored of us," Tony replied.
You came back with the bag in your hand, they looked at you curiously, and you waved the bag and dropped the contents of it on the table.
“What... is she supposed to be doing? Clint asked the others curiously.
He didn't notice you heard him, maybe in his dimension, the witches didn't exist.
"Divination, so we can know more or less when it will be the next alteration in the shadows," you explained by putting your hands on top of the small stones without touching them.
“More or less? So it's not accurate? "Tony wasn't convinced at all.
"Are you suggesting anything else?” You asked grumpily.
"Excuse him, he's a little nervous because we were halfway through a mission," Steve excused him.
"The next alteration will be in two months," you informed them.
As the days went by, you and Steve started to get closer, he told you his whole story and vice versa.
The others don't seem too happy to be there, especially because of the mission, although it was confusing, your dimension was too much like theirs, but no one knew them there. Thousands of times Tony tried to create something to come back, nothing worked.
One full moon night you came out, Steve noticed and went after you.
"Y/N, where are you going? He asked.
"To pick up some water from the lake," you replied.
"At this hour? It's something... Suspect.”
"Why? The water has already absorbed all the magical properties of the moon, it is the exact moment," you explained.
"Well... in that case... can I come with you?” Steve volunteered.
You agreed with a smile, it was a little hard to be completely alone with Steve. You walked up the river, once you got there, you started taking your clothes off in front of a Steve dumbfounded by your actions.
"W-what are…are y-you do-doing?” He asked nervously.
"We're going to swim in the river, come on, take off your clothes," you answered naturally.
You went into the river, Steve was intimidated, his hands trembled as he took off his clothes, then he walked to the lake. At first timidly, then you began to play with the water until you finally kissed.
Steve and you had fallen in love, even though there was a huge problem, he wasn't from your world, what would you do when the time came when he had to go back to where he belonged?
You couldn't ask him to stay with you, you couldn't go with him, both of you had very important missions and you couldn't leave them.
“What am I supposed to do?” You asked your cat.
The little cat saw you lazily and meowled, you sighed.
The two months had passed, finally the day there were alterations in the Shadows came, you didn't know how to say goodbye to Steve.
"Steve...”
"Y/N, I promise I'll find a way back, soon we'll be together again," he told you by holding your hand.
The rest of your team was waiting for you to leave, you two shortened the space and kissed.
"I'll be waiting for you.”

“We need to talk about YN…”
“What happened? Is she…”
“YN went missing at school today.  We aren’t sure,” the detective sat down.
“What?  She never skips school.”
“The school called us when her friends heard her scream during their lunch break.  They don’t know what happened, but they saw her run out the gate and she dropped her phone.”
“What?  Was she hurt?”
“We haven’t found her yet, but her phone gave us a direction to work in.  She was on tumblr.  Looks like she was talking with an older gentleman.”
“Oh no.  She wouldn’t do that though,” Jensen ran his hand over his face.  “We’ve talked about how it’s not safe, especially since I’m famous and some people know she is staying with us.”
“Mr. Ackles,” the detective started.  “She refused his advances.  She blocked him, but it looks like he made another account.  She did what was right.”
“So YN encountered a stalker?” Jensen stood up, nervous.
“Sir, take a seat.”
Jensen sat back down.
“I can’t- I can’t,” he hyperventilated.
“We’re working on finding her.  I need you to stay calm.” The detective exited and walked back in with some water for him.
Jensen’s phone rang.  It was a number he didn’t recognize.  As it rang, a text showed up on the screen.
Answer, it’s YN.
Jensen pressed the green button.
“YN?  Where are you?”
“I don’t know.  Come get me!” The girl cried into the phone.  Jensen switched the call to a video call so that he could see her face.
“How did you get to where you are?”
“I don’t know! I’m at Lafitte and Singer Ave. You know where that is?”
“Sweetie, those are made up and from the show.  You seem confused.  Look at the street signs, YN!” Jensen wanted to shake her back to reality.
“Kellips and Monroe, I think,” she wailed.
“You know where that is?” Jensen looked to the cop.
“Yeah, let’s go,” the detective ran out of the room with Jensen following close behind.
“YN! Don’t hang up.  I need you to stay there. Are you safe?”
“Yeah, I think so!”
“Good.  We’ll be right there.”
_________
“JENSEN! OVER HERE!” YN flagged down the police cruiser.  With blood on her clothes, she ran toward her foster dad.
The officer let Jensen out of the backseat of the police car..
“Come here, sweetheart,” he picked her up.
A man with a knife ran out of the bushes and toward the trio.
“Get down!” The officer yelled.  Jensen pushed YN into the ground and landed on top of her in protection.  Two gunshots were heard.  Jensen slowly looked over at the officer.  The detective’s gun was drawn, and the other man’s body was flat on the ground.  The foster dad returned his attention to YN.
YN cried tears into his neck.
“I’m sorry, I don’t know what happened.” Shaking, she gripped Jensen tightly as they sat up.
“We can talk later.  You’re safe.  You’re okay,” he whispered in her ear.
“Okay.”
“Let’s get out of here. Close your eyes until we get out of here, okay?  You don’t need to see this.” Jensen watched her shut her eyes and guided her back to the police car.
“Is he dead?”
“Shh.  We can talk later.  Just hold on to me.”
________
After getting treated and released from medical care, Danneel met Jensen and YN back at the police station.  She frowned at the bandage on YN’s cheek.
“I ignored this guy, and he just kept bothering me.  I stopped talking to him. I don’t know-“ YN stopped. Taking a deep breath, she continued. “I don’t know how he found me. I dropped my phone when he tried to drag me off campus. Some nice lady saw me in the neighborhood and gave me her phone after she scared him off. Really, I don’t know how he knew where I was.” YN turned to Danneel and cried into her shirt after finishing her story. Jensen passed Danneel the tissues.
“We’ll figure out what happened,” the investigator said.
“Is he dead?” YN said emotionless.
“Miss,” he sighed.
“I’m seventeen come on, man.”
“Yes.”
She gasped.
—————
“Hey,” Danneel nudged her foster daughter. “Don’t hide. Okay?”
“Yes, ma’am,” YN sighed as she trudged up the stairs to her room.
A few minutes later, Danneel and Jensen sat down on the couch.
“What are we going to do?” Danneel whispered.
“Are you okay?”
“I’m fine, sweetheart. I’m more worried about her. One day at a time, Dee. One day at a time.”
—————-
“You need to get out of your room, YN.” Jensen knocked.
“Go away.”
“Look-“
“No. Go away. Please.” YN begged, rolling away from him to face the wall.
“Fine. Check on you later.”
——————-
YN walked into work and put her stuff in her locker. Putting her badge on her shirt, she straightened out her uniform.
“You’re late,” Danneel walked into the room.
“Sorry,” YN sadly apologized.
“Third time in two weeks.”
“Yep.” YN agreed with no emotion in her voice.
“Baby,” Danneel started.
“I know the consequence. It’s fine. Whatever.” YN walked out to the play area.
“What has gotten into her?”
—————-
“What is up with you?” Jensen walked into the play area. “There is trash everywhere, and you’re sitting on top of the lunch table watching everyone. Pick up the trash.”
“Yes, sir.” YN blankly stood and grabbed the broom and pan with no emotion whatsoever
Jensen watched her from afar as she picked up napkins and wrappers.
“Dee, watch what she is doing.” Jensen caught his wife’s attention. She stopped.
“YN’s not even paying attention.”
“I know. She’s been late for work, staying away. YN’s withdrawing.”
“Yeah. We got a problem.”
—————
“We’re going out for date night. Don’t stay up too late. School night,” Danneel smiled to YN.
“Okay, have fun.” She returned the expression. “Love you.”
Later that night, YN’s bags were packed. An Uber driver waited in the driveway. Jensen and Danneel pulled up to the house. Having to park on the street, Jensen knocked on the driver’s window.
“Who are you and what the hell are you doing at my house?”
“I got a request. I’m an Uber driver, sir. Not here to cause trouble,” the young man said timidly.
“What? No one needs an Uber here.”
“A YN asked for a ride. She here?” The driver asked.
“Damn. No. Here. Sorry for your trouble.” Jensen handed the driver a twenty dollar bill.
“Thanks, man.”
“No problem, kid.”  Jensen heard the driver pull away from the house.  “ Dee, get inside.”
“YN!”
YN heard Jensen’s deep voice.
“SHIT.”
She tried to hurry with her things. A suitcase and backpack were by her door.
Jensen ran up the stairs.
“Where were you going?” He huffed as he got to her room.
“You don’t get it, okay?” YN screamed. She grabbed her things and tried to pass him.
“The Uber is gone. I had him leave. What is going on with you?”
“What do you think, Jensen? I’ve been a mess! I saw a guy DIE! In the middle of the street! After he kidnapped me!”
“Oh, sweetheart,” he frowned.
“Just go away.”
“Afraid I can’t do that, sweetie.” Jensen slowly walked to her and cautiously pulled the items out of her hands. “You need to be here. With us. Don’t hide. You promised you wouldn’t hide. I’ve seen how you’ve been acting.”
“I can’t. I can’t do this,” she cried. “I can’t handle it. I need to leave so I don’t burden you.  He took me, and he changed me.  I’m not the same person.”
“No, no. Never.” Danneel walked into the room. She pulled them both to YN’s bed. “You’re never an inconvenience. Well, maybe when you eat all the chocolate,” Danneel giggled.
“Just let me go,” YN stood up and tried to take her things from Jensen.  “I’m just some kid who is messed up.  A charity case.  My parents were right about me being a nobody. All I do is mess up.  Thanks for caring, but I’m not worth it.” YN tried to pull her items out of Jensen’s grasp, but he didn’t let go.
“If I said what you just did, Dee would whack me on the back of my head.  She and I know how valuable you are, and we want you to see it too.” He took her hands and pulled her toward him so that they were eye-to-eye.  “You are so amazing. You saw something that was terrible.  I don’t think anyone doubts that.  You shouldn’t either.  I think we need to talk about how we can start making you feel better.”
“I’m not going to therapy,” she groaned.
“Sweetie, this is not a punishment.  I’m sorry that you feel like it would be.  Do you want to feel better?”
“I mean. Yeah, I guess.”
“The real you cares.  You haven’t been caring much about anything lately, have you?” Danneel asked.
“No…”
“We want you back.”
“I’m doomed.”
“You’re so not,” Jensen chuckled.  “We need to do something, YN.  You’re not you.”
“Maybe I could go to the school counselor?”
Jensen and Danneel looked at each other.
“For now, that’s fine.” Daneel nodded.
“Dee…” she whined.
“School counselor- for now,” Jensen supported Danneel.
“Okay,” YN shrugged.
“Feel better?”
“Not really.  I’m embarrassed.”
Jensen pulled her onto the bed next to him.
“No reason to be embarrassed.  You experienced something terrifying.  I’d be surprised if you weren’t feeling something.”
“Oh.  What about you?  You saw him get shot.” YN looked to Jensen. He took a deep breath.
“I’m okay.  I was more focused on you.  I knew that you were scared.  I guess I’m just kind of used to protecting my family.  It was scary, not gonna lie.  I’ve actually been thinking I need to go to therapy too.”
“Huh? You?”
“You think I’m too good to work through stuff that hurts me?”
“Umm. No, I didn’t mean it like that, Jay.  I’m sorry.”
“No, no.  I know.  I just mean everybody should go to therapy.  Keep yourself healthy.  Mental health is-”
“Important.  I know.”  YN smiled.
“Promise us that you’ll tell us when you’re feeling off. Please,” Danneel begged.
YN whined under her breath.
“Okay,” YN turned into Jensen’s chest out of shame.
“No, sweetheart.  Look, it’s okay,” Jensen tried to move her away from him.
“Nuh uh.” She groaned, leaning into him again.
“Fine, come here,” Jensen smiled.  He wrapped his arms around her. “You’ll be okay.  We will all be okay.”
_______
“Ouch!” Jensen shrieked.
“Sorry, brother.” Jared looked him over.  He saw the scratches he left on his TV brother.  The two families had gathered for a weekend game day.  While playing Three Flags Up, Jared scraped Jensen on his left arm.
“It’s fine, I should have worn a flannel to protect my arms.” Jensen tossed the ball back to YN across the yard.
“It STILL hurts?  The fire happened like a year ago.”
“My skin is thinner.  It gets irritated easier.”
“You guys good?” YN called.
“Yep! Give us all you got!” Jared yelled back.  The boys got ready to compete in catching the ball.  This time, Jared backed off so as to not hurt Jensen again.’
“You did not just go easy on me, did you?  Give me your flannel.”
Jared rolled his eyes.
“What? You’re wearing one, and I’m not.  I’m not giving up on this game just because you scratched me, and I’m also not wearing a long-sleeved shirt, so give it to me,” Jensen growled under his breath.
“Gah, you’re moody,” Jared chuckled. He quickly took off his outer shirt and offered it to the other man.
“Playing dress up over there?” YN grinned.
“Just throw the damn ball!” Jensen groaned playfully as he fixed the flannel over his shoulders.
“Think fast!” YN threw the ball as hard as she could.  Jensen and Jared ran into each other trying to reach for the ball.  Falling to the ground, they moaned.
“YOU ASS!” Jensen stared her down with a hint of a smile.
“Not sorry!” YN grinned.
A FEW DAYS LATER IN VANCOUVER
“Jensen, I know we were going to have you roll your sleeves up for this scene, but it looks like your arm is scraped up, but you haven’t been in a fight, per the script.  You okay if we have them rolled down?” The wardrobe supervisor looked from the red mark on his arm to read the expression on his face.
“It’s still there?” Jensen looked down.  “Yeah, that’s fine.” He stood still as she pulled his sleeves to his wrists.
__________
“Mister Ackles?” The same detective they had talked to about YN going missing called Jensen back to the police station.
“Investigator, what’s wrong?”  Jensen and YN stood up in the lobby.
“I inherited your fire case from the brewery.  By the way, the Grackle is my favorite,” he shook Jensen’s hand and guided him back to a meeting room.
“Oh, really? Glad you like the beer, but what? You found something?”
“Yes, sir.  Take a seat please,” The detective shut the door behind the three of them.
“It’s been a long time, I thought it went cold,” Jensen questioned.
“The investigation stalled because we couldn’t find anything for a while, but have you seen this person?” The detective slid a security camera photo across the table. A young male adult running across a field displayed in front of him. “We found this on a security camera from a business near yours.”
“No,” Jensen looked it over.  “I don’t think so.”
“DAMMIT!” YN slammed her fists on the table.
“You know him?” The detective turned toward her.
YN stared at the picture.
“YN?” Jensen turned to her.
“That’s my half brother.”
“Wait, what?” Jensen leaned away.  “You have a half-brother?  Since when?  How come you never said anything?”
YN scooted away from him, intimidated.
“YN, can you tell me his name?” The detective caught her attention.
“Kenyan.  My dad is his dad.”
“Okay.  It doesn’t sound as if you have the best relationship.”
“Why didn’t you tell us about-” Jensen asked her again.
“Mister Ackles, step outside please.” The detective motioned to the door.  “You’re scaring her, and I’m trying to help you.  I can’t help you if she is anxious from all of your questions.  Your questions can be for a conversation at a later time.”
Jensen stopped.  He closed his mouth before speaking again.
“Do you want me to leave?” Jensen looked to the girl.
“Umm,” she couldn’t answer.  “No, but please let me tell you about Kenyan later?”
“Of course.  I’m sorry, sweetheart.  Okay, let’s let him ask the questions.  I’m right here if you need me.” He took her hand and then looked toward the investigator.
“Do you have a good relationship with him?  It doesn’t sound like you’re surprised that he would do something like this.” The detective clasped his hands together on his lap, giving her time to think.
YN took a breath.
“Kenyan and I have not gotten along for a while.  He’s always been the annoying older brother.  We have had a rivalry since I was born.  I think he thought my mom and I were the reason his life was so messed up.”
“What makes you think he could do this?”
“To get back at me? Maybe? He has followed me before when he wanted something.  He probably knew we had left my car in the garage, I don’t know.” She turned to Jensen with tears in her eyes.  “I’m sorry, Jensen.  I didn’t know he would get back at me like this.” She ran her hands over his arms without realizing it.
“You didn’t know.  I’d do it again for you,” he said quietly.
“Jensen-”
“Again, sorry, but I have some more questions.” The detective interrupted.
“Right, sorry,” YN wiped a tear away.
“Where can I find him?”
“I’m not sure.”
“YN,” the detective started.
“No, I’m serious.  I’m not trying to keep him out of trouble.  We always said he would cause legal trouble. Ever since I entered high school, he’s been in and out.  Mostly out.  Started getting drunk.  He’s twenty-one now, but he started drinking with Dad a few years ago.”
“Parents of the year…” Jensen said under his breath.
“Jensen,” YN whined.
“Sorry, sweetheart.  Continue.”
“You could check my parents’ house.  And don't know if they even live there anymore.  I honestly don’t care. “Or maybe his friend’s house?  Nick Thomas.”
“That’s great.  Thank you, YN.”  The detective smiled.  “I’ll call you if I have any more questions, okay?” He stood and led them back out to the lobby.
“Absolutely,” Jensen nodded. The detective asked Jensen for a moment of his time.  “Get in the car, YN,” he threw her the keys.  As she turned to exit the building, Jensen turned to the other man.
“If I may, please don’t badger her with questions.  In my professional experience, she is the type that needs less questions, more time to answer.  Obviously, you know her, but this is new to you.  Give her a minute.” The detective shook Jensen’s hand and wished him well.
Jensen smelled the fresh cut grass as he walked toward the parking lot to arrive at his SUV.
“You gonna chew me out now?” YN crossed her arms in the front seat.
“No.  Your brother-”
“Half-brother.”
“Half-brother, is part of your story.  I need to let you tell it.” Jensen put the vehicle in reverse, pulling out of the parking lot.

This is hella late and probably not gonna be noticed but if you’re still doing prompts will you write a fluffy jegulus soulmate au I’m having cravings lmao. Lobe your blog!!
So yeah this didn’t turn out as fluffy as I meant it to. Sorry about that. Hopefully you like it anyway!
***
           The words on James’ arm were not kind. They’d never been kind. When he could feel the words shifting on his forearm, he had begun to wince, knowing a new insult was going to be flung his way. He had no idea how his bloody soulmate could hate him so much. Didn’t that very much defeat the point?
           He had hoped it meant that Lily Evans was his soulmate. No one seemed to loathe him more than Evans and so the harsh words on his arm would make a lot of sense. But then in sixth year Lily and Marlene had discovered they were each other’s soulmate and there went that theory.
           James worried it might be Snape. He was the only other person James could think of that hated him so much,that would have nothing but cruelty towards his soulmate. He had never been more relieved than when he found out that wasn’t the case. Snape didn’t have anyone on his arm apparently, from what James had heard off Lily. Maybe that was why the greasy prick was so terrible to everyone.
He had been sitting in the Great Hall and he could feel the words on his arm constantly shifting. He rolled his sleeve up with a bit of trepidation.His soulmate was clearly at Hogwarts at that very moment, watching him. Sirius scooted closer and read over James’ shoulder.
           Bloody bastard.
           Who does he think he is?
           Why does he never notice me?
           Does he even know I exist?
           James and Sirius shared a look and Sirius shrugged in response. Sirius turned his attention back to Remus – his soulmate – and the two of them continued to be disgustingly sweet with each other the same way they had since they discovered they were soulmates in third year. James would have thought he’d be used to it by now. Maybe it was the fact that he was still woefully unaware of who his own soulmate was that was causing the irritability. He only had a year and a half left at Hogwarts to figure it out.
           Why won’t he look at me?
           James glanced around the Great Hall and looked for anyone that was staring at him. Whoever his soulmate was had to be paying attention to him, right? It turned out quite a few people were looking at him, James realized with a puff of pride.
           Oh fuck. He’s looking for me.
           Shut up, brain. Shut up!
           He’ll never think it’s a Slytherin.
           James’ eyes snapped to the Slytherin table and raked down it looking for who it might be.
           Fuck fuck fuck fuck fuck
           James couldn’t help grinning to himself. He was so close – he could feel it. His soulmate was finally in his grasp. Why did there have to be so many bloody people in this school?
           He’ll never care about me that way he does about my brother.
           James glanced down at his arm and then his eyes snapped to Regulus, sitting at the end of the Slytherin table. When he caught James staring, he looked away quickly. It felt like a punch to the gut. Regulus fucking Black.
           It couldn’t be.
                                                           ***
           James flopped down across from Sirius and Remus in the Gryffindor common room. They’d been working together on the Potions essay because only Remus could get Sirius to actually buckle down and do his school work before the last possible second.
           “Alright Jamie?” Sirius asked, knowing his best friend enough to tell when something was bothering him.
           James tugged on the collar of his school shirt, feeling a little bit like he was suffocating. He had been since lunch that morning. “So you might kill me...”
           Sirius’ smile went dark. “What did you do?”
           “It wasn’t anything I did!” James said, putting his hands up in surrender. “It was fate or whatever.”
           Sirius raised a skeptical eyebrow. ‘If you’re going to start pulling pranks on me then you better come up with a better excuse than that!”
           James huffed in frustration and tugged his fingers through his unruly hair. “It’s not a prank! I think – no I know – Regulus is my soulmate.”
           Sirius laughed. “That’s a pretty good one, Jamie.”
           “Sirius,” Remus said, touching his soulmate lightly. “I don’t think he’s joking.”
           James winced as Sirius’ laughter was cut short and he glared at James. “Jamie, what the fuck?”
           “That’s what I’ve been asking myself all bloody day!” James said, feeling a bit like he was going mad.
           “How do you know?” Remus asked evenly.
           “Today my arm was going crazy and he said he was a Slytherin and I was worried it might be Snivellus or something but then he said something about me caring for his brother. Unless you or Peter have some Slytherin brothers hitherto unmentioned, it’s got to be Sirius he was talking about and that makes it Regulus.”
           “Did you just use the word hitherto?” Sirius said, his eyes bugging out in surprise.
           James groaned and tugged on his messy hair. “What am I supposed to do about this information? I’ve barely even spoken to Reg. He always just avoided me if he could. The only time I interact with him is on the Quidditch pitch.”
           Sirius jumped to his feet excitedly. “It’s that movie! That Muggle movie we watched at Moony’s last summer with the twins! The one your mum really likes!”
           “Parent Trap?” Remus filled in helpfully.
           “Yes!” Sirius said, snapping his fingers. “We’ll do a Parent trap!”
           James pushed his glasses up the bridge of his nose. “Am I meant to be trapping myself?”
           “Don’t you worry Prongs!” Sirius said, tugging James to his feet and resting his hands on his shoulders. “Moony and I will handle all the details. You just show up and look pretty.”
           James huffed. “I’m always pretty.”
           “That’s the spirit!” Sirius said, clapping James on the back.
                                                           ***
           James stepped in time with Remus under the invisibility cloak as they made their way downstairs to the kitchens after hours. He knew that with Remus involved nothing too terrible would happen to him. If it had just been Sirius planning everything then James might have been worried.
           When they got down to the kitchens, Remus pulled off the cloak and shoved James forward. There was a little private table for two set up with floating candles for atmosphere. Two plates of spaghetti were already set out for them. “Sirius was going to go for something a bit more intense. There were fireworks involved. I managed to scale it back a bit.”
           “Thanks Moony,” James said, smiling at him.
           “Ow you bastard that hurt!” James heard voices coming down the corridor. His heart started racing when he thought he was finally going to reveal to Regulus that they were soulmates. He pushed his glasses up and tried to think of something cool to say when Regulus arrived.
           He didn’t have time to come up with anything good because a moment later Regulus was shoved in through the door followed by Sirius. “Fucking bellend nearly bit me!” Sirius said, shaking his head at his little brother.
           “That’s usually how people react when they’re basically kidnapped from their bed!” Regulus snapped at him. “How do you even know how to get into the Slytherin dormitories anyway?”
           “Please, we figured that out second year!” Sirius said with a grin.
           Regulus glared at his brother and then turned flickered his gaze at Remus and then James. “So what’s this all about then?” he asked, turning his nose up at them. “Going to hex me? Turn my hair pink? Make it so I forget how to fly a broom so Potter here can finally win at Quidditch?”
           “You little – “ James growled, but Remus grabbed him by the arm before he could advance on Reg.
           “It’s called dinner, you numpty,” Sirius told his brother, rolling his eyes. “You sit in a chair and you make polite conversation while you eat. Ever heard of it?”
           Regulus worked his jaw for a moment as if trying to come up with a retort. Remus beat him to it though. “I think Sirius and I had better get going. We’re going to take the map and leave you the cloak.”
           “You’re leaving me alone with him?” Regulus spat out, scowling at James. “Wait, what map? What cloak?”
           “Have a nice date you two!” Sirius sing-songed as he and Remus pulled out the map so they could get back to the Gryffindor common room without running into anyone they shouldn’t.
           “A date?” Regulus echoed as the door to the kitchens shut behind them. James sat down in the one of the chairs and looked at Regulus expectantly. Reg still had an unhappy look on his face but he sat down in the chair opposite. “If you try anything Potter I’ll make you regret it.”
           James sighed. “This isn’t a trick, Reg. The food hasn’t been tampered with. I just wanted to spend time with you.”
           Regulus narrowed his eyes at James. “Why now?”
           “I think you know why.”
           “I really don’t.”
           “Because we’re soulmates,” James said, trying to keep the annoyed tone out of his voice that Reg was being so difficult.
           “Pull the other one.”
           “I’ll prove it to you,” James said, shoving up his sleeve. Now they were getting somewhere. “Go on, think something about me.”
           You’re a prat.
           “See?” James said, letting Reg read the words on his arm. “Your turn.”
           “No.”
           “No?”
           “That’s what I said,” Regulus sneered at him. “No.”
           “Why not?” James said, dumbfounded. They were soulmates after all. Why was Regulus being like this? Shutting him out now that they’d finally found each other. It wasn’t supposed to be like this. It was supposed to be easy.
           Regulus turned his face away and crossed his arms over his chest defensively. “I didn’t have words on my arm until fourth year,” Regulus said, his voice hard. “Which means you knew me, for years, and didn’t think about me at all. Couldn’t even spare your best friend’s brother a passing thought, huh Potter? Do you know when the first time I had words on my arm? My first Quidditch game as seeker. I was chasing after the snitch and I felt my arm tingle. I was so surprised I nearly fell off my broom. The first words my soulmate ever though about me were ‘oh he’s actually quite good.’ The words have been few and far between since then. So no, Potter, I won’t be showing you my arm. And you can bloody well just leave me alone.”
           Regulus shoved his chair back and headed for the door. James jumped up in a panic and was reaching for his wand before he had time to think.
           “Petrificus totalus!” he shouted, pointing his wand at Reg’s back. Reg fell like a sack of potatoes onto the floor. “Bugger shitting fuck,” James cursed, putting his arms under Reg and lifting him up. He grabbed the cap and threw it over them before making his way up towards the Gryffindor common room. As they walked, James could feel the words on his arm shifting and changing. He gritted his teeth and ignored the fact that Reg was currently chewing his arse out for hexing him.
           When he got into his dormitory, he pulled the cloak off and his three friends stared at him in horror. “What the hell happened?” Sirius asked, jumping out of bed.
           “He was being a git,” James said and felt his words shift again in retaliation. He didn’t have to look to know what they probably said.
           “Why does Prongs have Sirius’ brother in his arms?” Peter asked, looking at his friends for clarification. James realized no one had filled Wormtail in on the whole soulmates debacle.
           “They’re soulmates,” Remus informed him.
           “Oh fuck,” Wormtail said, his jaw dropping. “Tough break there, Prongs.”
           James sighed and brought Regulus over to Sirius’ bed. Sirius hardly ever used it anymore anyway, electing to sleep curled up around Remus. “I didn’t know what to do,” James admitted, chewing his bottom lip. “He was going to leave and I couldn’t just let him do that.”
           “I mean you could have,” Sirius said with a shrug. “It’s not like you wouldn’t get another chance to speak to him. You should really be used to rejection by now, Prongs.”
           “This is different from Lily,” James said haughtily, shoving his glasses up. “He’s my soulmate. He’s supposed to, I don’t know, love me and shite.”
           Sirius rolled his eyes. “Classic Prongs. Moony, come over and explain things to this idiot.”
           “Hey!”
           Remus scrubbed his hand over his face like he always did when his friends were being unruly and it gave him a headache. “Sirius and I knew we were soulmates before we told everyone in third year. We actually figured it out on the train to Hogwarts but we were young and didn’t really know how to deal with that information. It wasn’t until third year that we kind of figured things out and told everyone.”
           “You kept a secret from me?” James asked Sirius accusingly.
           “Not. The point. Prongs.” Sirius responded in exasperation.
           “Knowing someone is your soulmate isn’t a guarantee,” Remus said, placing a hand on James’ shoulder and giving it a small squeeze. “It doesn’t mean you’re immediately in love either. It just means there’s potential.”
           James glanced down at Regulus. “I’m sorry. Fuck, I’m sorry Reg.” James quickly did the counter curse and Regulus’ body relaxed.
           “Alright Reg?” Sirius asked softly.
           “Not especially, no,” Regulus said, rubbing his arms and legs to try and wake them up. “I’ve been kidnapped by my supposed soulmate and now I have no choice but to sleep in the Gryffindor dormitories. Not exactly my ideal situation.”
           “You’re staying?” James asked, unable to keep the hopeful expression off his face.
           “I don’t have much choice,” Regulus snapped at him. “It’s after hours and I doubt you’re going to let me borrow that cloak.”
           “Er, well…” James said, shuffling uncomfortably.
           “Exactly,” Regulus said, shoving the covers down and slipping under them. “Now piss off, all of you, and leave me alone.”
           James was the last one to leave Reg’s bedside, wondering if he should stay and talk a little. He thought about what Remus had told him and decided what Reg really needed was space. James barely slept that night, tossing and turning and thinking of Reg in the bed next to him. When he did finally fall asleep, it was hardly restful.
           In the morning Regulus was already gone.
                                                           ***
           James sat at breakfast, poking his scrambled eggs with a fork, what felt like a stone sitting in his stomach. He couldn’t stop thinking about Regulus and what a mess he’d made of things. He wished he could explain himself or apologize to the point where Reg didn’t hate him. There had to be a way to fix things after all. It couldn’t just end like this.
           James felt his arm tingle and he shoved his sleeve out of the way, greedy for whatever words might be written there, even if they were cruel.
           I don’t hate you.
           James glanced over at the Slytherin table and caught Reg’s eye. They stared at each other from opposite side of the Great Hall. James concentrated on what he wanted to say to Reg. Hoping that it would come out clearly. He was sorry and he’d make things up to Reg if just given the chance. He’d think about Reg every day and he’d never go without words on his arm again.
           We’ll figure things out.
           James grinned at Regulus and traced the words on his arm. It felt like a step in the right direction. It felt like forgiveness. It felt like a promise.

601. If you kill them, you’d better kill me too, because otherwise I’m going to kill you.
This was prompted by the awesome @smolandangry001! Thank you so much for the prompt, this has gotten a bit longer than the normal stories but it actually has story, not just fluff or angst XD Enjoy!
Fandom: Detroit become human | Ship: Reed900 (Warnings: Undercover mission gone wrong, kidnapping, violence, offscreen mentioned torture)
‘Nines! Anderson! Connor!’ RK900 looked up from his screen towards Fowlers office. What could possibly have happened for him to be called up there? And why him and the others? The only times Fowler had called him it was because and together with Gavin, something that was impossible now. The man had been on an undercover mission for three months now and one would have thought he had adjusted to him missing in the workplace and in their flat. But no, the void space opposite to him and at home felt weird and even hurt sometimes. He missed his partner dearly. He missed the man’s rare moments of cuteness, the little sweet things he did for him and the habits Nines had developed to return them. He missed their fights, their snarky comments and most of all he missed someone having his back and someone to care for. Sure, he had their cats at home and whenever it was safe, Gavin contacted him via a special chat-program, Nines had written and installed on his phone. They still were in contact relatively regular, but it just wasn’t the same.
The android got up from his seat and followed Connor and Hank into the office. Fowler stood up as soon as he entered, coming around his desk and laid a hand on his upper arm. This wasn’t good and immediately Nines tensed and felt his LED glowing red in his temple. ‘Nines, I… This isn’t good, okay, but I need you to stay calm. We will take action. We will do everything we can. But we have to plan beforehand to make it work.’ Yeah, this wasn’t good at all. ‘What is it?’ Nines forced himself to not let it show how panicked he was. This was something about Gavin, it had to be. But, oh, how he wished it wasn’t. The Captain leaned back to turn his screen and immediately Nines’ analysis-software went haywire.
The screen showed a paused video. Some figure sat slumped down on a chair, held up only by ropes around legs, chest, arms and throat. It was a bit blurry, but the clothing matched Gavin’s. Still, there was a 0.2% chance they were just wearing similar clothing and it all was just coincidence. He held onto that calculation. Fowler sighed and hit the spacebar letting the video continue.
“Hello, fellow boys in blue out there!” The voice was distorted heavily, but Nines was already trying to restore it. “Didn’t think we would find your man, huh?” There was laughing and Nines immediately knew he hated the idiot behind the mic more than anyone else he had ever met. “Well, maybe next time find someone who has less qualms and a more polite mouth.” The words were emphasized by a clangourous slap across the chained man’s face, that let their head bounce back, so the camera could get a good picture. Nines had been about to step forward in an useless attempt to stop the person who hurt the man. The 0.2% quickly dropped to zero. This was Gavin. This was his partner, his friend, his- Gavin woke up from whatever it was that had him hang in the ropes and shifted with a painful grimace. ‘No.’ Nines had whispered it, but the room was dead silent. “I don’t know what to do with him yet, so maybe you could help me? I could kill your friend here, but I think he could be useful still. We demand a school bus. And a safe passage out of this state. Once we left, you get your idiot back, how does that sound, huh?” Only as his artificial skin retracted Nines realised how hard he had pressed his hands into fists. Everything in him screamed to run, to help, to do anything. “Two am. Monday. Location is attached. No tricks. I won’t hesitate to play with him a little, so if you want him alive and in one piece, better do as we said.”
The video stopped and restarted as they watched it again and again, Nines fixed on his love in that chair, wincing every time they hit Gavin. It was Hank, who reached over and stopped it, speaking slowly and low. ‘I think that’s enough. What do we do?’ Nines was still staring at the screen, at the clearly visible bruises and the ropes that dug into his skin, and his combat profile rose up. What do we do? We run. We find Gavin, we free Gavin, we kill anyone who stand in our way. That was what the soldier said. And that was what he wanted.
‘Connor!’ As Fowler cried out the order, Nines was already flying out of the door and down the bullpen, before the other RK unit could throw himself at him and stop him. ‘Nines, stop! Don’t do this!’ ‘They have Gavin!’, Nines hissed against the floor he was laying on and pressed against the weight of the other android on top of him. ‘What would you do would they have the Lieutenant?’ ‘I know. But you can’t just run out there without a plan. We will do our best to safe him.’ ‘Your best is not enough, Connor. You are an obsolete model saved by deviancy. Your careful planning and rational actions will get him killed!’ He didn’t want to be so cruel, but he had to go, he had to help his partner! ‘Nines, I agree. That’s why we need your power on the team, not wasted!’
Nines went lax. Still everything told him to follow his prime directive and the soldier wasn’t about to back down. But he knew he couldn’t and wouldn’t fight against his brother. As he was sure Nines wouldn’t try anything, he let go. ‘Okay, calm down. You will get him back faster than you can think. I promise. Concentrate on the case at hand, okay?’ ‘Okay.’ ‘Good. First of all we have to find out where he is.’ ‘I already know that.’ Nines was still bouncing to let this spiel fall and run. ‘What? How?’ ‘I sort of programmed a form of a pseudo-android-network on his phone. Until three hours ago I know exactly where his phone was. And if they demand a bus, I don’t think they want to leave now.’ ‘Good. Where?’ ‘A house in the suburbs. Still marked as vacant since a family left during the revolution.’ ‘Do you have a building plan?’ ‘Of course I have, Connor, I would be far quicker had I just already gone!’ ‘But do you know how many there are? What weapons? No. I figured. Stay here. It won’t help Gavin when you are killed trying to save him.’ ‘Fine.’
 Nines played along precisely long enough for his shift to end. ‘I’m off, Connor. See you tomorrow.’ ‘Nines. Where are you going?’ ‘Home. The cats need to be fed.’ ‘Are you sure? Don’t lie to me.’ ‘This isn’t a lie.’ ‘Good. Then stay safe.’
It wasn’t a lie. He did drive home and fed the cats. Even cuddled a bit, just in case. But then he left. There was no way he was sitting around doing nothing, when Gavin was hurt and in possible danger. Who knew what these criminals would do to a police officer. Maybe they would stay true to their promise and care enough to let him stay alive. But that didn’t equal unharmed.
He was quick to be back outside again and stopped in his tracks as he found Connor leaned against Gavin’s car. He sighed. ‘I hope you are not here to stop me.’ ‘I don’t think I would be able to if I tried. I got you by surprise, but I am no match for you being the obsolete one.’ ‘I’m sorry, Connor, I really am. But I’m worried. If something happened to him… I- I wouldn’t-‘ ‘Don’t. I know what you feel. I would do the same for Hank. That’s why I came.’ ‘You won’t stop me.’ ‘I didn’t come to stop you. I want to help you. It’s the least I can do for my brother.’ ‘Thank you. I’ll make it up to you, I promise.’ Connor already entered the passenger side. ‘Try not to kill anyone, that would be enough.’
Nines speeded across town on the fastest route there was. ‘What do we tell the precinct once we have him?’, Nines asked. ‘I wanted to take you somewhere to keep you from running to Gavin’s rescue. Then we happened to come across some illegal activity and coincidentally this was the house Gavin is kept captive in.’ ‘They won’t believe that.’ ‘They can’t prove it either.’ ‘Anderson knows of this?’ ‘I left him a note. He’ll understand.’
They parked the car a few blocks away and got out. Nines dropped his Cyberlife jacket in the car. It was already dark, so he would blend in with his black turtleneck and trousers. ‘I can make out three persons in the front, you see anything else?’ ‘Three in the front. There is a laptop I could try hacking. Not sure if they would notice.’ ‘What about the phone? You said you built an android network?’ Nines nodded. It basically felt like an extended part of him now. ‘I’ll try to access it.’ His LED spun yellow for a few seconds. ‘front camera is dark, back camera shows a lamp on a ceiling.’ ‘All the lights upstairs are off. A cellar?’ ‘Yes. There is one. No outdoor access, there is a stair down.’
They came nearer and hid in the neighbour’s bushes. ‘There is a window’, Connor pointed out and Nines zoomed in on it. ‘Possible entrance. But they might notice. It’s closed.’ Connor smiled. ‘But it is a digital log. I can hack it. The whole house is connected to a central processing AI. I could try and hack it, while you scout around the place. You get in, get Gavin and come back, I’ll distract them. Sounds like a plan?’ Nines nodded. He crawled out of the bush, while Connor’s eyes started to flutter. Not much more time passed, and the window opened silently. Nines stuck his head into the space and scanned the place. The window led into some empty broom closet. He signed Connor an okay and squeezed himself through. He barely hadn’t made it as his frame was designed broader than most humans. But he made it and pulled up the floorplan in his HUD. Outside the door was a narrow hallway leading to a single room intended for storage. Most likely the place they kept Gavin in. He fetched some duct tape from a shelf and ripped off a piece to cover his LED, then made way for the door. From the heat signatures, there are two persons outside, Connor sent him over their wireless connection. I’ll create a distraction upstairs. Maybe that will get them out. Nines waited, until he heard a scream from upstairs. What did you do?, Nines asked. Someone was dumb enough to sit on the stove. Nines grinned. Weren’t you the one who said no person harmed? No person killed, was his answer.
Nines waited some more. Any movement on our two guards? Can you see Gavin? Still there. And yes, he is in the next room. I’ll try something else. Nines saw the flicker of light under the door. Soon enough footsteps. Nines pressed himself against the door until the person was right in front of it, then he opened it and put his whole strength into the blow. The door smashed into the man’s face, Nines took him by the collar and yanked him inside the closet, closing the door again and making sure the idiot was unconscious. Then he used his duct tape to gag and handcuff him and let him drop to the floor. One out, he reported. One left. She has heard the commotion. Is coming towards the door. There is an 87% chance she’ll open it. Nines nodded although Connor couldn’t see him and pressed himself to the adjacent wall. There were footsteps again. Then there was light, as the door opened. Nines waited until the woman entered, then grabbed her back and throwed her against the wall and preparing her just like the other guard. Now the way was free. Gavin was nearly safe!
Nines jumped out, ready to run towards his partner. Nines, stop, there is another heat signature there is- He saw him. Standing behind Gavin, smiling devilishly at him, was a well-dressed man, holding a gun to his head. ‘I told you no tricks. I knew you would come. And I’ll tell you what you’ll do now: Go back out and maybe I won’t kill him.’ ‘If you kill him, you’d better kill me too, because otherwise I’m going to kill you’, Nines growled low. ‘Please, no one has to die here. Just go, get your boss to get us that bus and no one will be harmed.’ ‘Oh, but maybe I want to see you harmed?’, Nines hissed. ‘I’m not sure you know my model, but you would either be fast enough to kill him or to save yourself by shooting me. If you kill him, you are dead. If you let him live, there is no need for me to kill you. So, what is more important to you? Proving a point or continue to live?’ Switch off the lights, Connor!
In pitch darkness there was a shot. Then a clatter. Back on!
Nines was on top of the asshole that had threatened his partner, who was holding his bloodied, cleanly shot through hand. Nines didn’t hesitate to punch the man over and over again, until he was unconscious. And then, for good measure, again. After that, there were more important things.
Gavin had been gagged since the video and was barely awake. There was blood on his face, bruises all over and red marks from the ropes around his throat. Nines couldn’t be fast enough to untie him and catch him as he fell towards the ground. ‘Gavin! Gavin, I’m here! You hear me? All is good, we are going home. You are safe!’ Are we safe? This was Fowlers plan. They arrived a few minutes after you entered as backup and are now cleaning up the upper storeys. I needed distractions after the stove. Stay there. Ambulance on its way.
Nines exhaled heavily and pressed Gavin to his chest. He was safe and with him and nothing else mattered.

The sounds of fists slamming into a punching bag echoed throughout the room. Sweat glistened over the scar that had marred his face for the last ten years. It hadn't bothered him in such a long time, but right now, it fucking hurt.
With a roar of frustration ice swirled around his right hand as he punched the bag a final time, sending it spilling open and all over the floor of the gym.
Panting, he fell to his butt before laying back on the mat, his breaths coming in uneven gasps, his knees bent upwards.
He was so unnerved from what happened just yesterday that he hadn't spoken to anyone since. Not Midoriya, or Iida. Not even Momo, even when she desperately tried to get his attention. The texts and phone calls only soured his mood.
He loved Momo for the saint she was, but the way she kept pestering him only enraged him. He needed his space and right now, nobody was giving it to him. The media had gotten wind of what happened and they were lined up outside the school and at his fathers place demanding to know more details.
Groaning in frustration, he didn't hear the door of the gym open and close. Only the sound of footsteps caught his attention and he gave an exasperated sigh before sitting up.
He should have known she would come looking for him. She has become his best friend over the last six months and he couldn't be more than grateful for her caring friendship towards him. But now was not the time.
"Shouto?"
He remained silent, afraid that if he spoke, he would snap at her.
"Would you please talk to me?" The pleading tone in her voice made his heart ache but how was he supposed to talk to anyone when he wasn't even able to sort out the thoughts in his own head.
"Please just leave me alone." His tone was low and raspy, not the same raspy voice she had come to love.
"You've didn't show up to class today and haven't talked to anyone. Everyone is worried." She clenched a fist over her heart. "Including me."
"I just need space Momo." He stood up, moving to go grab a trash can so he could clean up the mess he had made.
"Please." Her voice stopped him. "Please don't shut me out."
His whole demeanor was reverting back to how he was when he first started at UA. Cold and quiet.
"I'm not shutting anyone out." His attempt to argue back made her flinch, his tone coming out more harsh than he intended.
"If that's the case, why are you avoiding everyone?"
"I'm not-"
"Yes you are!"
It was Shouto's turn to flinch. She had never yelled at him like that before and he had to turn to see her face. And the angry look she sent him threw him off.
"Why are you getting mad?" He glared at her.
"Because you won't let anyone help you!"
"How is anyone supposed to help me?!" He was yelling now.
Momo stepped forward, not backing down and refusing to leave him alone.
"Talking usually helps." Her words did little to make him feel better.
"What's there to talk about? Everyone across the country knows." Aggravated, he turned away from her, refusing to show her the emotions that he felt welling up inside of him. "I find out my brother, who had run away from home years ago, has become a villain who attacked my friends and kidnapped one of our classmates. The brother I never got a chance to really know. The brother my family thought was dead-" He sucked in a breath when a pair of soft feminine arms wrapped around his middle from behind, squeezing him tightly.
"You don't have to deal with this on your own." Her voice was so soft and urgent and Shouto didn’t like the way it made his throat tight.
"I didn't even recognize him." Momo gave a sad frown at the crack in his voice. "His appearance has changed so much from how I knew him."
"It's not your fault." She hugged him tighter.
"There's so many thoughts and questions going through my mind..." Taking a deep breath he paused, trying calm himself. "I don't know what to do with them all."
"Your friends want to help you." Momo encouraged. "I want to help you. But we can't if you don't let us."
"Why would they want to help someone whose brother participated in sending half of them to the hospital?"
The words that were whispered in his broken tone made Momo realize that Shouto truly believed he should be hated. That their classmates should be blaming him for what his brother had done. That by association, Shouto was just as guilty.
"Do you really think they would blame you?" Momo released him and moved around him so she could see his face. "Do you honestly think they are capable of something like that?"
"The teachers already suspect a traitor." He looked off to the side. "I'd be an easy target to blame."
Momo reached out and placed her hands on his cheeks and forced his dual colored gaze to met her own dark ones. Before she could speak, a sudden wetness on her right thumb gave her pause. Quickly wiping away his tear without comment she pulled her thoughts together.
"None of us blame you or suspect you of anything, okay?" When he tried to look away from her again, she held his head steady. "We're all worried about you, even Bakugo." She smiled. "Your friends are here for you, so don't doubt that, please?"
Taking an unsteady inhale of air, Shouto gave a hesitant nod. With a sad smile, Momo wrapped her arms around his neck in a hug that he found more comforting than he thought he would have.
"Besides, you always have me." From her tone, he knew she was smiling. "And that's never going to change."
When they pulled away, Momo gave him a sincere smile as he wiped his hands down his face.
“Come on.” She urged. “I’ll help you clean this up.”
Shouto looked at the busted bag guiltily before letting out a sigh. “I guess I went overboard.” He said as he rubbed the back of his neck sheepishly.
“Don’t worry about it.”
Momo lifted her shirt which made Shouto look away to give her privacy, as she created two brooms and dustpans. She handed one set to him and grabbed the other for herself.
“Thank you.” He muttered as he began sweeping up the sand that had spilled out onto the floor.
She smiled softly and began cleaning up the other half of the floor, carefully making sure she got most of the grains before continuously dumping it into the trash can. With their teamwork, they were able to get the area cleaned up within half an hour and Shouto was more than grateful for her help.
Once Momo put the trash can back in its original spot, she made a mental note to have Aizawa help them toss it out later. When she glanced back to her friend who had a distant look on his face. He truly looked lost, anyone who could ever blame him for being the traitor was an idiot. Frowning, she stepped closer to him and took his hand in hers.
“Are you alright?”
“Not really.”
Before she got the chance to speak, the door to the gym opened up. Aizawa stepped in, a serious look on his face. Shouto felt the female beside him squeeze his hand, but it did little to comfort him from what he knew what was coming.
“Todoroki.” The eraser hero addressed him. “I think it’s time we have a chat.”
“Mr. Aizawa-”
“Yaoyorozu, please return to the dorms.” His tone left no room for argument but that didn’t deter her from trying.
“But sir-”
“Now.” Aizawa passed a bored look to her. “He’s not in trouble, if that’s what you’re worried about.”
That seemed to calm her for the moment, so she turned her attention back to the fire and ice user.
“Shouto?” The question was implied in her voice.
“Go ahead, it’s okay.”
Still hesitant, she hugged him one final time before heading to the door. Even if she didn’t want to leave him, she knew Aizawa wouldn’t allow her to stay. This was something they needed to discuss privately but it still didn’t take away her unease.
“Come find me when you’re done okay?”
“I will.” Shouto replied. “Thank you.” His voice grew soft at those last spoken words and she wanted nothing more than to go back and wrap him in her arms and never let anything hurt him again.
She just hoped that when shit hit the fan, that Shouto wouldn't be caught in the crossfire. That villain may be his brother, but if he ever came after Shouto, nothing could stop her from doing everything she could to protect him.
__________
Guilty. I am a fan of the “Dabi is a Todoroki theory” so I had to throw this in here :)

Scary Godmother: Halloween Spooktacular REVIEW:
Hello there, everybody. My name is JoyofCrimeArt and Halloween is right around the corner. Enjoy it while you can because the minute Halloween is over you know that big business and mass media are going to start bombarding us with Christmas music and advertisements twenty four seven, (assuming they even wait that long.) But regardless of that THIS time of year is celebrated with candy, pumpkin spiced everything, and of course Halloween specials. You got your Charlie Brown's and your Over the Garden Wall's and such, but if you ever watched Cartoon Network during the month of October during the early to mid two thousands their is one special you must of at least glimpsed at least once. That special is Scary Godmother: Halloween Spooktacular!.......Ah, I see what you did there, it's a pun on... yeah, well played special.
Tumblr media
In case you don't know Scary Godmother is an animated CGI Halloween TV special created by Rainmaker Entertainment in 2004. It is based on the children's book and comic series of the same name created by Jill Thompson. This special was a staple of Halloween on Cartoon network for many years and even got a sequel entitled "Scary Godmother: Jimmy's Revenge" the following year. Now is this special any good. Ehhh-Ye-No....Sorta? Let's talk about it.  The first thing you'll notice about this film is it's animation. It's...not the best looking by today's standards for sure. CGI from this era is definitely dated by this point, but it's hard to blame the special for it's animation given that it was only 2004. Plus the special does offer up it's own sort of style in many respects. The character designs on the humans aren't very good, as a lot of the time they do just looked like pallet swapped versions of the same model, but the designs of the actual monsters later in the special are really creative looking, just like in the books. Plus they do this neat thing where a lot of the backgrounds will be hand drawn illustrations and certain props will have a cool "pop-up book" element to them. So yeah, the animation is pretty dated, but I'm glad that they did something to make it have it's own unique look. So I can forgive it for the most part.  The special opens up on Halloween night as we see three kids, Daryl, Bert, and Katie dressed in Halloween garb outside of the haunted "Spookhouse." Katie is dressed up as a cat, which is sensible enough, but Daryl is dressed up as a piece of candy, Bert is a baseball driver in his SUV. It's dumb and cheesy but in a charming and kinda amusing kind of way. Anyway, then we Jimmy appear on top on a tombstone dressed in his devil pajamas, but he is quickly knocked off of the stone be the light from a flashlight held by his younger cousin, Hannah, our main protagonist for the story.  Now here is where things start to get a bit odd. Jimmy asks why Hannah is flashing the flashlight around, and then the three other kids jump in calling for a "flashback." Now some fourth wall humor isn't the weird thing, but what's weird is the fact that we don't actually get any real "flashback." instead we get a scene of the characters reenacting a scene where Hannah's parents give Hannah the flashlight with Daryl and Katie playing the part of Hannah's parents. But the thing is, 1.) Jimmy and Hannah clearly came to the Spookhouse separately from the other three kids because they show up afterwards, so there's no way that Katie and Daryl could of known the specifics of how Hannah got the flashlight. 2.) Jimmy was in the flashback, picking Hannah up before going trick-or-treating! So how was he confused by Hannah's flashlight? He saw Hannah's parents give the flashlight to Hannah! I mean I suppose he might not have been paying much attention to what Hannah was doing since Jimmy wasn't in the exact shot where Hannah's Dad (played by Daryl.) gave Hannah the flashlight, but still! Also then there's like this wipe, where Hannah comments that that was close to how it all went down. With, Bert even being annoyed he didn't have a role in the flashback, so I'm not even sure if that scene even happened at all! It's hard to explain but it's a really bizarre scene. Point is, Hannah's dad gave Hannah the flashlight, saying that light from a flashlight could scare away monsters.  Anyway, while Hannah is off flashing her flashlight around Jimmy talks to his friends. Jimmy comes with the idea to trick Hannah into enetering the old Spookhouse. That way Hannah would run home scared and they could trick-or-treat without her, since there "big kids" and she isn't. The other three are against it at first but end up being tempted into evil by the silly devil hoodie clad little boy. So they tell Hannah that there is a monster in the Spookhouse, and every Halloween the new kid must go inside and give the monster a piece of candy or else the monster will come out and eat every kid in the world. So Hannah goes into the house, and is tricked into thinking the house is full of monster due to Jimmy's amazing work at creating hand shadows.
Tumblr media
I DON'T CARE WHO YOU ARE OR HOW GOOD YOU ARE, HANDS DO NOT WORK THAT WAY!  Anyway the big kids run outside the house leaving Hannah in, holding down the door knob so she can't run away. Even though the whole plan was to make her run away. They just want to traumatized the kid a little more. Y'know, for the lol's and such. Anyway Hannah starts crying until suddenly her Scary Godmother appears! Hannah is at first to sad to even notice this, but eventually Scary Godmother is able to get her attention. Now you may be wondering what is a Scary Godmother, and the answer to that is obvious! It's..um...I guess there like Fairy Godparent's but...spoopier? Or something? I dunno, it's not really touched upon much. All that matter's is that Scary Godmother is going to kidnap-I mean-invites Hannah to her home on the "Fright Side" for her Halloween party, so she can introduce Hannah to all of her monster friends in order to help her get over her fear of monsters.  We get this weird scene where Scary Godmother has Hannah get on her broom and they fly up the chimney and into the sky to get to the Fright Side. They fly through this weird cloud monsters mouth and then end up there, but what I don't get is if Hannah flew up the chimney how come none of the big kids saw her? Also later in the film they don't seem to need to fly back in order to get back into the Spookhouse. I figured that the Fright Side was tied to the Spookhouse but they seem to be flying away from the house in order to get there. WHAT ARE THE RULES HERE! NO, YOU'RE OVER THINKING THIS!  Anywho they end up in Scary Godmother's house located on in the Fright Side. I like the design of the house, it oozes Halloween and the pop up book aesthetic really shines here. Scary Godmother begins introducing Hannah to all of her friends. Starting with her "Broommate." (Yeah, I hope you like puns, cause you're going to be getting a lot before this 44 minute film is over.) Mr. Pettibones, a Skeleton who lives in peoples closets. Much like Pearl from Steven Universe his main personality trait...is being really gay. *OH MY GOD, IT WAS A JOKE, PLEASE DON'T KILL ME STEVEN UNIVERSE FANS* I swear as a kid I never got the joke that he was suppose to be a skeleton "in the closet." but it's actually kinda clever looking back on it now. And all joking aside he's not a bad character. He does act as the sassy gay best friend to Scary Godmother but he is a funny character who has a role in the story. He's the one setting up most of the party. Mr. Pettibones also explains more to Hannah that not all monsters are bad.  We then cut back to Deryl, Bert, Katie and Jimmy waiting outside of the house waiting for Hannah to come out screaming, annoyed that it's taking so long and-OMG WHAT THE HECK!
Tumblr media Tumblr media
We get a Black Hannah and what I think is just a literal clone of Katie, except she's in a bee costume. Who cares about this story, I want to know about the secret underground cloning lab that exists in this town! Anyway as I said the big kids are waiting for Hannah and Daryl and Katie are trading candy, because they decided to trick-or-treat a little before meeting up with the rest of the gang. Katie offers Deryl a piece of candy for "three kisses." And they go in to kiss before Bert interrupts them. I wonder where this romantic subplot will lead........  (It leads nowhere.)  Back on the Fright Side it's time for Hannah to meet another one of Scary Godmother's monster friends. This time a werewolf (or is it wolf man?) named Harry. Harry is...pretty much the worse. He's dumb, arrogant, rude, and overall self absorbed, with food being the main thing on his mind as he mooches off all of his friends. And I'm not saying this as an insult to the film, because the film acknowledges it! Nobody in the film likes this guy! And to be fair he's not too annoying to the audience, as he seems far more annoying to the characters in the film, but still. It's weird why they even bother inviting this guy. Even when Harry isn't doing something wrong everyone at the party seems to have disdain for him, which in some ways makes me actually feel bad for him. But then he does something else selfish or annoying to make me feel less sympathy towards him, which I guess is good since the film isn't trying to make him sympathetic I guess? You'll see more as I go forward with the review, but yeah. Harry is THAT guy. The guy we all know, the friend that we don't like but we just got to put up with.  Harry goes up to Hannah thinking that she is an actress in his favorite "Skelevision" show. (Ha Ha! The puns have returned!) I wonder where this subplot of Harry thinking Hannah is an actress will lead........  (It leads nowhere.)  Though I do appreciate the film diverting from the cliche "Vampires vs Werewolves" rivalry, instead opting for a "Skeletons vs Werewolves" rivalry, which makes a lot more sense when you think about it. Though this rivalry probably has less with race and more with everyone hating Harry.  So after that it's time for the next guest to arrive. We get the vampiric couple of Count Max, Ruby, and their son Orson. Wait a minute....Max....Ruby....
Tumblr media
 MY GOD!  Scary Godmother invites the vampires in. (Because vampires can't enter a house uninvited.) and Hannah starts befriending Orson. It's a really cute scene and makes some great use of a rotating camera angles. Orson is also really fun with his awkward childishness contrasting the fact that he is a vampire. Hannah and Orson's friendship just feels like a genuine friendship in the way kids there age becomes friend. (Also it's a better love story then Twilight, am I right? Yuk Yuk Yuk?)  Oh and there's also a pointless chase scene...moving on.  Also throughout the film Harry keeps becoming incapacitated. First he get's peanut butter stuck to the roof of his mouth making him unable to talk earlier in the special, and then he get's hypnotized into a trance by Count Max.  We then get our next guest, the monster named Bug-A-Boo. A giant multi-eyed fanged monster. I love his design due to it's uniqueness and while he's not actually scary looking to the audience, if you where to imagine this thing being in the real world it would be terrifying. And Hannah agrees with me as Bug-A-Boo is the monster that causes her to finally freak out. And can you blame her. One of his teeth is the SIZE OF HANNAH!
Tumblr media
Also there's a genuinely funny bit with Hannah screaming, then Scary Godmother telling her to breath. She breaths and then starts screaming again. Good stuff.  Anyway another chase scene begins and Hannah tries to shine the flashlight on Bug-A-Boo. Only to find out it doesn't have any effect. Scary Godmother lies to Hannah telling her that flashlights only work on monsters who live in the closet, not under the bed. Hannah says she wants Bug-A-Boo to leave and he begins to comply. This is when she see's that looks don't matter, and that Bug-A-Boo is actually nice. Though is he that nice? We learn that his job is to scare children by hiding under there beds, which is pretty much the same thing that the big kids do to Hannah, and their treated as the villains. Also do you think whatever company Bug-A-Boo works for is a rival company with Monsters Inc?  With all of the guest arrived the monsters and Hannah begin their Halloween party. We cut back to the big kids and theirs a bizarrely funny bit with a Bert saying that his "Door is ajar." there's no logical reason I find it funny, but I do. Also that cut to the big kids lasted exactly 19 and a half seconds and only exists to do the "Door is ajar" bit. WORTH IT! Then we get a very brief dance sequence with the monsters and then cut BACK to the big kids. Because...why not? The night is ending and the big kids have, for all intensive purposes ended. Katie wants to go an rescue Hannah but Jimmy is insistent on waiting for her to come out of the house on her own.  Jimmy you're plan isn't very good! You have your little cousin run into an old abandoned house that has a frickin' GRAVE YARD it it's front yard, and then spend like, hours, waiting for her to run out. Why not just go in there and see if she's scared? If she is she'll probably agree to have you take her home. I means she's must of been there for a while since all of the houses are turning there lights off, so if she wasn't scared before what would make you think that she's be scared now. What do you think she's been doing this whole time?! You wasted your whole Halloween on faulty logic! If you wanted to get more Trick-or-Treating done you should of just cut your loses and given up long before now! But no, you still hold on to this plan. What is she was attacked by a murderous clown or something!? Who knows what kind of non supernatural threats could be inside this creepy old house. Jimmy you are so stupid!
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SgxYUxqcg1Q
Ugh! So anyway Jimmy says that they should continue with his idiotic plan because he's the leader, and all of the big kids get into an argument on who the leader is. There's a bit decide to do a vote on who should be leader and they each get one vote each. Bert and Jimmy vote for themselves and Katie and Daryl vote for each other. (Which is a cute moment and the one of the only bits of continuation for their "romantic subplot.") Then if that wasn't pointless enough we get a scene of Bert demanding recounts and Daryl recounting the votes. Granted the scene is kinda funny, but I would be lying if I said it wasn't pointless.  Back in the Fright Side we get more interactions between our colorful cast of characters, and we get to see a bit more of Hannah and Orson and also some interactions with Max and Ruby. We get to see Max is sort of introverted and behind the times. He wants to be, in his own words, "groovy." I like Count Max a lot because of this and most lines from him get a pretty good laugh out of me. He's kinda like a less silly version Count Dracula from the Hotel Transylvania series. Again, it's good stuff.  So then it turned out that Harry, the Scumbag Steve of the monster world, has eaten all of the buffet. (Though in Harry's defense, before this scene none of the other monsters where letting him eat any of the buffet, which does seem a bit unfair. It further goes to show how odd it is that they even invited him if he wasn't even allowed to partake.) So now that there's no food left And thus Bug-A-Boo suggests that they should order pizza. And thus we begin the pizza sub plot! I call it the sub plot because the whole pizza scene takes up a total of four minutes (not counting the cut back to the big kids that occurs in the middle of said subplot.) and contributes almost nothing to the story! I know that four minutes does not sound like much, and it really isn't, but consider the fact that the special is only 44 minutes long. So that's an eleventh of your whole story! Keep that in mind.    So we then get a scene where we learn that Bug-A-Boo and Hannah both like pizza with extra cheese and olives on it. Further cementing that fact that Bug-A-Boo is nice and doesn't eat little girls. Proving that no matter how different people look or act we can all bond over are love for pizza. World peace is truly a possibility here folks.  So they have Harry order the pizza's because they clearly haven't learned there lesson by this point and he ordered twelve pizza's, and Scary Godmother doesn't have enough money to pay for it. There's a funny bit where the pizza delivery boy offers to give them the pizza's on the house is Scary Godmother gives him her soul, but she declines. Scary Godmother, Mr. Pettibones, and Hannah try to get some money by taking all the money that got stuck to Bug-A-Boo from being under the beds all day. Hooray for stealing money from your friends! (Which he accidentally stole from children!) Also the pizza's are said to cost about 200 dollars, and Hannah even mentions finding a 50 dollar bill. I know Bug-A-Boo goes under a lot of kids beds but how many kids who are young enough to be scared of monsters under the bed really have that much money under there beds. Even I've never seen a fifty dollar bill before, and I'm way older then those kids would be!  So then Scary Godmother chastises Harry for buying to many pizza's, telling him that he's going to make it up to her by working for her until he makes up the money. This is actually a major plot point in the second special, if you can believe that. Also Harry doesn't get any of the pizza. Poor Harry. If only he wasn't so darn awful I wouldn't feel so conflicted in feeling bad for him!  There's also a funny joke where Count Max recalls an old conversation he had. "-But other then that, Mrs. Lincoln, how did you enjoy the show!" It's funny because her husband was shot right in front of her...oh, now I've bummed myself out.  Then Hannah tells the monsters why she's here, and gives Bug-A-Boo a piece of candy in exchange for not eating everyone in the world and that's when the monsters tell Hannah that she had been lied to by Jimmy. We also learn that Jimmy is one of the kids on Bug-A-Boo's route and that even big kids get scared. Then Scary Godmother comes up with a plan to get back at Jimmy. It's time to go Toy Story on those fools.  Outside the Spookhouse the big kids finally decide to enter the house, even though by now they seem scared to enter it themselves, which would make a logical reason why they didn't go in to get Hannah by now, except they where in the Spookhouse earlier in the film when Jimmy was making his magical shadow puppets. They walk inside and see Orson, thinking he's just a kid in a costume. Orson get's mad that they don't think that he's a vampire and called out his parents form the closet, as Count Max and Ruby say that there going to eat the big kids. They run in fear from the actual vampires and end up coming across all the other monsters all threatening to eat the kids. Harry ends up actually trying to eat Daryl thinking that he's a actual piece of candy. So that's one potential human casualty that could of occurred as part of this plan. They then find Hannah and Hannah uses her flashlight to "defeat" the monsters, as every time she points the flashlight at one of the monsters they pretend to die. Scary Godmother even frickin' melts. The big kids end up running out of the house scared and Scary Godmother gives Hannah a magic key, telling her that if she ever wants to return to the Fright Side she can, and all that she would have to do is use that key on any door. Jimmy asks if Hannah wants to hold his hand for "her protection" and she agrees. The special ends on the valuable moral that "Revenge is great!"  So in conclusion, is Scary Godmother: Halloween Spooktacular any good, and is it worth watching? Ehhhhhh, I think it depends on who you are. This special, from a technical standpoint, isn't that great. There are a ton of flaws with it. The animation is dated, the special is overall pretty plotless, there is a ton of filler, and some of the choices made by the characters don't make to much sense. So if you want a special that is better on a more technical level, one with better story, animation, ect. then this special probably won't be your cup of cider. But if you have nostalgia for the special, or if you don't mind some cheesiness and just want a fun but kinda dumb special that will put you in the Halloween mood, you might end up enjoying it. I had more fun watching this special for this review then I expecting to be honest with you. So maybe consider checking it out sometime.  What do you think of Scary Godmother? What do you think of the sequel (which I hope to review next Halloween, from what I remember it's one of the few sequels that is better than the first one, though that not that difficult considering this special.) Leave your thoughts in the comments down bellow, I love to hear what you guys think. Any suggestions for things I should review. Suggest them down bellow and maybe I'll do em' if I find them interesting enough. Please fav, follow, and comment if you like my review and have a great day and Happy Halloween!  ...Oh, and did you know that Scary Godmother is played by Rarity from MLP:FIM? And Hannah is Princess Cadance? It's weird. (I do not own any of the images or videos in this review all credit goes to there original owners.)

Scared, Winchester?
Pairing: Dean x Reader
Warnings: Swearing
Summary: After a series of misterious deaths happened at a Harry Potter Convention, Y/N and Sam take it upon themselves to stop whatever is causing it, along side a very reluctant Dean.
Tumblr media
"What the hell?" Dean frowns as I hand him the bag with his new costum.
"It was the last one they had" I bite my lip as Sam tries to hold back a laugh, pushing his fake glasses deeper into his nose.
"And why do I have to use it?" Dean looks back at Sam who is already fully dressed in his costum. "Why does he get to be the main dude?"
"It was the only one big enough and even the pants are still a little short" Sam shows his uncovered ankle to Dean.
"Change" I look back at Dean, fixing the brown curly wig over my head. "We are already late"
Dean grunts as he stands up, picking the bag from the table before walking out to his room.
"You are evil" Sam shakes his head, knowing that there were a lot more costums left.
"Like he's ever going to find out" I shrug, knowing Dean is never going to know I did this on purpose. "Besides, you are enjoying this too"
A few minutes pass until we hear Dean's shout through the bunker. "Do I really need to wear the wig?"
"Yes" I yell back before Sam can say anything. "Nobody is going to know who you are if you don't wear it"
"God, how I wish we had a camara right now" Sam tries to swallow down his chuckle as Dean comes back, wearing the black cloak over the grey woolen jumper with the Slytherin badge.
I bring my hand to my mouth, trying to cover the grin over my face as I watch Dean struggle with his platinum wig. "Need a hand?"
"Shut up" Dean mumbles as he grabs the car keys. "Let's get this over with"
-
No words in the world can explain the excitement Sam and I are feeling as we absorb everthing that's going on. There's a sorting hat event going on in the main room as well as a wand-picking gig at a near by tent.
"Dean, pleaseee" I make puppy eyes as we spot a Butterbeer stand. "I want"
"You already had two, Hermiannoying" Dean tries to glare at me but ends up sighing. "Fine, but this is the last one"
"Thanks" I stand up on my tip toes, giving Dean a slight kiss on the cheeks. "Besides we have to wait for Sam to come from his EMF round"
We make line at the stand as a few girls walk pass us, obviously checking out Dean. I mean, he does make a really handsome Draco, even with the cheap wig.
"Who do you think Hermione should've ended with, Ron or Harry?" Dean asks as we wait. "I heard some girls talking about it"
"Ron, obviously" I answer as we take a few steps. "Everyone says she deserved to end up with the hero but I think what people are missing out is that in fact Hermione is also a hero and she doesn't need to date the main character to get the validation she deserves. She saves Harry's life more times that I can count and she is basically an orphan at some point so she get's Harry in that sense so they are each other's family, not love interests"
"You have a strong opinion" Dean raises his eyebrows when he notices how carried away I got.
"I had a lot of free time when I was in middle school" I shrug as we finally reach the end of the line. "Three cups please" I ask the lady behind the counter as Dean hands her the money.
We wait for her to bring us our order as Dean plays with the hood of my cloak pushing it over my head. The lady finally comes back with our drinks so we thank her, making room for the people next in line.
"Hey, guys" Sam appears from behind us so I hand him his cup. "So check this out, all of our victims went to the same tour they offer here to see some restricted areas with cool stuff, like getting flying lessons, eating at the Great Hall"
"Yeah, so did every dumbledork here" Dean rolls his eyes so I shove him slightly because I also happen to be a dumbledork.
"They are called potterheads, and I thought it would be a good idea to check it out" Sam shifts slightly when Dean glares back at him "Okay maybe I just signed us up because I want to see those things, but still, it could be good for the case"
"Fine" I try to hold back my excitement when Dean finally agrees. "But I'm taking off this stupid cloak, it's really hot in here"
We walk towards the place Sam just came from as Dean makes a show of removing his cloak. There's a lady waiting for us at the entrance, holding three maps for us.
"Hi, I'm Kelly and I'll be taking you on a very magical journey" She smiles brightly at us, almost too enthusiastic for me. "So let's see who do we have here with us today"
"Hermione, Harry" She looks between me and Sam and the moves to Dean. Her eyes frown a little before tilting her head to the side. "Ellen Degeneres?"
"What? No!" Dean immediately protests as Sam and I let out a very loud laugh. "I'm that spoiled dude, the one with the daddy issues"
"I was joking" Kelly places her hand over Dean's shoulder and I suddenly I don't like her that much. "Of course I know a Draco when I see one, mostly when they are as handsome as you"
"Okay, maybe we can start" I take a step in front of Dean, smiling forcefully at Kelly. "We don't want to make the next group late"
"Oh, sure" She blinks harshly, taking a step back.
"Chill, Y/N" Dean puts both of his arms around my shoulders. "There's enough Draco to go around"
"Really cute of you to think that I was jealous" I take his arms off of me, even though I don't want to. "I just want to fly the brooms"
-
"Here we have a replica of the Hungarian Horntail that Harry had to face at the Triwizard Tournament" Kelly points at what seems like a real dragon, even though the sign in front of the metal cage says it's a robot.
"Can we touch it?" I ask, taking a step closer to the metal doors keeping us separated from the dragon.
"Sure" She smiles before pressing a button in the control center. The dragon moves forward, bowing his head for me to touch it.
I pace my hand over his forehead, feeling the scales under my finger tips. It almost feels too real, too warm for it to be just a mechanical dragon.
"Sam" I whisper only for him to hear as Kelly bats her lashes to Dean. "It looks so real"
"Yeah, isn't it so awesome?" Sam grins when the animal steps back to sit down, growling as he brings his tail around his body.
"No, Sam" I shake my head, looking at the yellow eyes in front of me. "It looks real. Almost too real"
"What are you talking about?" He frowns as I look to the next cage where there's a Norbit replica, spitting fire balls.
"Remember that case you and Dean had a few years ago, the dragons that were kidnapping those girls" Sam stares at me when he realizes where I'm going with this.
"You think that's what's happening here?" He frowns, looking for the journal in the pocket of his cloak. "There's not a pattern between the victims, I mean dragons are known for only choosing women. There were two men among the victims"
"Maybe they were dressed up as female character" I suggest, watching as Dean blushes at something Kelly said. If it wasn't because I'm focused on the mission, I'd be vomiting right now. "Think about it. People come willingly to meet 'robot' dragons, this is the best spot for the real ones to get their victims"
"But why haven't they attacked Kelly?" Sam asks, looking at the redhead as she shows Dean something on the map.
"She's handing them their prey on a silver platter, maybe not on purpose, but still" I look at the first dragon again as he stands up to spread his wings.
"I think we need to look around more. Let's not jump into conclusions" Sam speaks as Kelly and Dean move closer to us, ready to move along. "For all we know, these might just be really good robots"
"How about we go down the Great Hall?" Kelly asks with her chirpy voice which is starting to annoy me.
"Sure, lead the way" Sam starts walking next to her, leaving Dean and I behind.
"So, you and Sam, huh?" Dean swallows as the muscles around his jaw tighten.
"Ew, no" I frown, looking at Sam as he stares at a few brooms in a display window. "He's like my best friend"
"Auch" Dean looks ahead of us, not meeting my eyes.
"Oh, c'mon" I laugh as he pretends to dry a tear from his cheek. "You know with you it's different"
"Different how?" He finally looks down at me, biting his bottom lip.
"Well-"
"Hey, guys! Look at this" Sam calls out and right as he is about to show us something, he falls to the ground.
"What the hell?" I look up only to find Kelly holding a brick which I assume she used to hit Sam. "What are you doing?"
"I was getting bored, he talks a lot" She rolls her eyes as Dean bends down to check on Sam. "Besides, the magic is wearing off so it's time for the sacrifice"
"What are you talking about you crazy bitch?" Dean stands up after making sure Sam is okay. Unconscious but okay.
"The dragons. They are real" I tell Dean making Kelly laugh.
"No, stupid girl. They just seem real" She pulls out a metal cup, like the one Meg used. "I made a deal so I just sacrife a few of these stupid nerds and in return I get actual magic to attract more clients"
"Well, you chose the wrong stupid nerds to mess with" I launch at her but she just waves her hand, sending me across the room.
"Did I forgot to mention that I keep some mojo for myself?" She laughs, closing her hand, making my throat close as well.
Just when I feel like there's no air reaching my lungs, there's a loud bang that leaves my ear stinging.
I look up when Kelly's body falls to the floor, a pool of blood forming around her. Dean stands next to her, holding his gun. "Witch killing bullets. Figured they'd do the trick"
-
"I just got off the phone with Crowley" I walk into the living room as Sam holds an ice pack to his head while Dean gives him a few stitches since the brick caused his head to open a little. "He said that the demon behind that deal is already gone, he made sure of that"
"Crowley, helping so easily?" Dean takes a step back so Sam can stand up.
"He probably wants something in return" I shrug, grabbing a beer before sitting down.
"As much as I want to talk about Crowley, I think I'm going to bed" Sam leaves the ice pack on the table as Deans sits down next to me. "Good night"
"Night" I mumble as he kisses my hair and pats his brother on the shoulder.
Dean and I stay in silence for a couple of minutes, drinking our beer. Right as I'm about to say something, Dean beats me to it.
"So, I looked up that Draco kid" He scratches the back of his neck, almost as if he's nervous. "A lot of people seem to boat him with that Hermione chick"
"Boat?" I frown, not knowing what that's supposed to mean.
"You know, when you like two people together" He explains and I try my hardest not to snort.
"Ship?" I ask, raising my eyebrow as Dean's cheeks turn bright pink.
"Whatever" He mumbles, playing with the glass bottle to hide his embarrassment. "So, I was saying, if whay you wanted was for us to go as a couple, you should've just asked"
"No!" My cheeks are now the ones red and hot. "You wish, Winchester"
"C'mon, just admit it" He leans closer, running his tongue across his lip.
"There's nothing to admit, now if you excuse me" I try to stand up but Dean reacts faster, wrapping his hand around my arm.
He moves too fast so I'm not expecting him when his lips dive for mine, meeting in a warm kiss. His hands move to my face while I try to come to terms with what's happening. When I finally react, I move my hands to his hair as his lips move slowly but firmly against mine.
"I've been dying to do that" He mumbles against my lips as he rests his forehead against mine.
"What stopped you before?" I ask, moving my hands to his neck.
"I was- I-" Dean tries to speak but the words seem to be getting stuck.
"What?" I raise my eyebrow, giving him a quick kiss. "Scared, Winchester?"

Super long and fucked up dream but honestly it played out like an awesome movie (in my head)
For some reason I was having a retirement party? I’m not that old? But still this badass black chief of police guy came to my party we must have been friends or colleagues or something and he wished me a good party and a good thereafter... anyway...
So I was at like a school a couple of my work friends and for some reason Sam and dean from supernatural attended with me and we were just going to classes and stuff normal school til one day I heard rumours that people were disappearing without a trace but no one seemed bothered about it.
One day I heard a struggle in a broom closet and I went in to find someone in a human sized bag filled with transparent red liquid on a gourney he looked like he was drowning in the liquid so my instinct was too try and get him out but someone came and pushed me aside and shouted he’s fine and wheeled him away when I stood back up and looked for the person he was gone
I was in a class later that day and dean came to me and told me he couldn’t find Sam and that he thinks he had been kidnapped and I told him about the bag of red liquid, dean decided that he would get himself caught so he could find out what was going on from the inside, I told him he was insane and the last guy I saw looked like he was drowning and he told me he had to for Sam so we snooped around and found one of these bags, dean fell asleep first and then we activated the bag and it filled with the liquid, it didn’t look like he was drowning though which put me at ease somewhat.
The guy that came to pick up the first bag arrived me and another friend stopped him we asked him where they were going and why and who was doing all this he said he couldn’t say and he looked scared we sat and talked to him about other things to try and make friends with him but eventually he got up and took the bag with dean and another one away we tried to follow him but he ran
We ran down the corridors trying to follow, again no one else seemed to care or even notice we got to a stairwell that me and my one friend stopped in time but another (not noticing there was no railings) fell off the edge and fell down a floor or two and screamed in pain, we ran down the stairs to go help her I asked if she was ok and she said she was fine but her ankle was fucked up so I carried her to a nearby bench in what would have been a school playground type place we were sitting talking about what can we do people are being snatched and no one knows why or cares there were 3 celebritiy singers sat behind us on another bench for some reason (yeah this bit was weird) and they were just providing backing vocals for our conversation we we started singing with them a little bit for fun...
Anyway back to the story... I left my friend resting on the bench she said she would catch up when her ankle felt better I know I needed to find the guy that kidnaps the people! I searched for ages until I find him and talk to him a little I ask him don’t you think this is wrong why are you doing this and he ran from me again, I caught him and I said please I’m scared for these people even if you think this is just 10% wrong please I beg you you have to tell me what’s going on, the fear drained from his eyes and he looked determined, keeping eye contact with me he pulled the fire alarm and took me to the science department.
By this point I knew I needed information and the science department it were it would be, as I walked through the halls and classrooms students were getting leery throwing papers flipping desks one even smashed a fish tank, I walked into a specific class room, must have been where the guy left the kidnapped people some students had set a few small fires and trashed the room I walked through and felt like a complete bad bitch, somehow me walking with intent had drawn a crowd ready to help me deal with whatever was going on, I found some information in the back room of the classroom about a secret facility right here in the school I collected some heavy things like wrenches and other tools in a bag incase it got ugly and so we marched up to the front door
It was pure white to look at from the outside with a glass panel to see the inside of the lab but really all you could see was some machinery and blue and red lights, the sliding door was locked and next to several panels, there was an option for new recruits I had to press a button to get a pill that had instructions on how to insert a tracker under my skin I some how managed to avoid doing that but there was more to it there was another capsule that had a code in that I had to input on a screen but the screen was really slow and the numbers kept fucking up when I put them in, luckily it eventually accepted it I had to give my finger prints to the screen too and put in yet another code and answer some questions, a memeber of my crowd decided to give me a bro so we could play the “we are cleaners” role a notion that slightly confused and amused me, I however decided I would be scholarly and ask questions as to what was going on before getting down to business, when the door finally opened I had to step through into a disinfectant chamber but I held the door which allowed the rest of my group to enter behind me and brute force through the other door, they all split off in different directions as to let me do my thing, the scientist on the way in looked taken aback to see so many people but not concerned she put out her hand to take my bag stating they don’t allow them inside but I just continued to walk with intent and ignored her...
This is where is starts to get fucked up and gory so if you don’t like that stuff maybe stop reading
As I furthered Into the room I saw vats of a translucent brown/green liquid that had red dancing on the top in most cases there was surgical equipment and medical machines surrounding them, I walked to the first one and to my horror I saw what appeared to be some type of wild boars inside only they looked very much in pain, bits of flesh skin and muscle exposed tusks removed, I asked the scientist near by might you tell me what’s going on here? She told me that they were improving that animal, that this species was endangered and they were changing it to make it better but also to remove the poison glands it had, apparently this species of boar was capable of spitting acid and in knowing humans, the wretched things looked barely conscious there was one sitting on the floor that looked more ill than had ever seen any creature in my life, it squealed and lurched for me as I walked by, it scared me a fair bit but I moved on to the next tank.
A giraffe! A whole giraffe in a tank again it looked tranquilised and still in a lot of pain, flesh on its long neck exposed and weeping it almost made me cry how anyone could do such a thing to such a creature, I asked the scientist next to this tank what was going on but I was too numb to hear what she had said... that is until I notice what’s next, body parts
Human body parts in a giant iced cooling rack organs still pumping and convulsing but other things eyes, hands, feet even penis’
A short Indian woman approached me she appeared to be the head of the facility, “it’s quite an amazing collection wouldn’t you say” I told her it’s absolutely sick and vile she claimed there was no price to high for science, I look to the other side of the room and see people suspended in red liquid not unlike in the matrix, there are also dozens more tanks and pieces of human anatomy on show I see some human heads the the head scientist claims are models but I’m not so sure, I take a look at the other scientists in the room the vast majority are students at the school, I address the head scientist first followed by everyone else in the room, “how could you do this aren’t you disgusted by what you’ve done?” No one seemed particularly phased but I asked these people are your family and friends someone piped up to tell me the people they were experimenting on were nobodies, they didn’t know what the head scientist had orchestrated my group threw back a curtain and revealed the people they had stolen from the school some where shocked that they were in fact friends and family, as I was looking around to see the shocked and not so shocked faces I saw a large machine, it was throwing animals into it alive I asked what it was and o was told it was a harvester, the other side of the machine on a conveyer hearts, lungs, livers etc were being produced from the machine, I asked so you experement on animals then harvest them? I was told no the harvested animals are fresh and untampered with they then use the organs on the experimented animals to keep them alive, I was furious they were killing other animals to keep theirs experiments alive and in pain, I told the head she had to pay
She whipped out an extending stick and launched herself at Me I moved out the way and quickly collected a wrench from my bag, I kicked the bag over to my brother that had joined my group earlier so he could retreave a weapon, the other people in my group started to revolt and smash the lab up and some of the scientists fought back! The other scientists huddled around the edges of the room. Me and the head scientist got a few hits in on each other before I finally got her to the ground I used the wrench to hold her to the floor by her neck threatening to choke her to death if she tried anything I asked her questions how and why etc (I can’t actually remember what she said but I think it basically boiled down to money) and science is the greater good and there has to be sacrifices to advance, she somehow got free from me and was about to attack me again when the lights for the whole place went out and someone burst through the door and screamed get down in the ground! The silhouetted person was carrying a huge machete type blade, everyone hit the floor including me and the head scientist, though I heard my brother climb into a clean tank of water behind us, the head scientist was right infront of me, the silhouette shouted if anyone moves there are going to die, it shortly walked past me and I saw my chance, I kicked the head scientist Into the path of the silhouette and he struck her across the top of the head, the silhouetted man when to flip the switch on the breaker and turn the lights back on, when they came back on the head scientist was gone and the silhouetted man revealed to be the police chief guy from the bringing of the story he gave me his hand and pulled me up from the floor and asked it I was ok and told me they never would have found the place without my help
Some people were being arrested and some comforted, a lot of the scientists resented me because they were now out of a job but I just kept thinking how could the resent me for stopping this when they have been comiting such heinous deeds, the police chief called me over to the clean tank as my brother popped up and said is this an experiment should I put him out fo his misery and he aimed a gun and him and I said nooo wait that’s my brother the chief said fine and he got out shortly after another figure rose from the water! It was the head scientist bleeding profusely from the head wound, the chief said what about this one to which I said yeah out that one out of its misery to which she had half a second to say “no wait I-“ before the officer shot his gun, it was a regular hand gun but the bullet seem to transform into a large harpoon in the air and absolutely decimated the head scientists head which smashed into hundreds of pieces, I smirked and some bad ass music started playing and credits rolled like the end of a movie
—————————
Defo one of the more strange and in-depth dreams I’ve had, no idea where that came from but it was both weird scary and awesome, I just wish I could have painted a better picture of the visuals of the dream if I was an artist I would storyboard the shit out of this lmao but yeah it was interesting and if you read this and think I’m a freak it’s because I am one

Saving Loki
 ~~~
“Brokk grunted and produced an awl, a pointed spike used in leatherwork, and he jabbed it through the leather, punching holes through Loki’s lips. Then he took a strong thread and he sewed Loki’s lips together with it.
“Brokk walked away, leaving Loki with his mouth sewn up tight, unable to complain.
“For Loki, the pain of being unable to talk hurt even more than the pain of having his lips stitched into the leather.” – ‘Norse Mythology’ by Neil Gaiman, page 50.
You don’t know how Gabriel escaped wherever he was trapped. You don’t know where he was taken, who took him and how they took him, but they did, and it was evident that they pulled a number on him.
Lips sewn shut, his eyes void of the light that shone mischief and adoration whenever they turned to you. His injuries where easy to heal, the physical ones at least. He was jumpy, if a door was shut too loudly or a sudden noise occurred, he would shoot up in the air. If you spoke in anyway besides a low whisper, he’d look at you in fear, something you certainly weren’t accustomed to. The one time you pulled out a knife, he went into a full-blown panic, locking himself in the closet for an hour, which you spent sitting outside talking to him softly in an attempt to calm him.
Can archangels even get anxiety? It was clear through his actions that he had some form of PTSD, and although you have no knowledge of what occurred you could tell what happened was far from pleasant. The reason you didn’t know what had happened?
Gabriel refused to let you unstitch his lips.
The one time you attempted, he tried to escape your house at the sight of the scissors you had placed out; which, in hindsight, was probably the worse things you could have had in your possession at the time. Making a dash to jump out of the window, then leaping over the couch when you ran over to him to make a run for it out the front door. You managed to get him in a circle of holy fire, which set him off even more as you put away all things that even remotely looked like a weapon and entered the ring to console him. He wouldn’t let you touch him, which was unusual. You had to rely on your words and body language to reassure him into a state of calm and you weren’t gonna lie, it was hard.
You can remember the state he was in when you came home three weeks ago. Gabriel had been missing for months and you never once thought he had upped and left, but you were concerned what had happened to him. Walking up the stairs with your shopping, you noticed a huddled form laying by your front door. The hair, although longer than you remember and unwashed, was the first give away that it was your angel. But when you turned him over, the face that greeted you was anything but the face of your long-term boyfriend. Bloody, bruised, broken. And those awful stitches in his lips. You all but dragged him and got to work healing his face, him a shell as you worked around him. Then the scissors came out. You had never seen such fight in a man, much less him, and definitely not towards you. The realisation that he thought you were an enemy, there to hurt him, hit you like a ton of bricks. You can remember the feeling of utter dread and heartbreak as the realisation set in and followed by the sudden thought that you couldn’t let him leave the house. Whoever did this could be after him.
The only way to keep him was to trap him. It destroyed you to do it, but you had to. You lost him once, you can’t lose him again.
But he still was a shadow of the man he once was. He communicated in nods and hand gestures, having nightmares daily in complete silence. Needing to sleep at least eight hours daily was new, but you figured it was a part of the healing process. You did so much research on PTSD to find a way to, at the very least, get him to trust you again even if it was to unstitch his lips. You were a witch, and a damned good one too, but you couldn’t find a single spell that could a) undo the psychological injuries done to your archangel, b) remove the stitches without causing a panic attack and c) get him to snap out of flashbacks without causing him even more distress. So, instead, you set up silent alarms to alert you if he was going back into a phase so you could be ready if he needed help.
It tore at you that he always made sure to be on the opposite side of the room, and if you had to approach him you had to do it like you would a wounded animal. You sang quietly whenever he was in the room but avoiding you, in the hopes it would keep him calm around your presence.
Weeks, it took, before you made your first break through.
You had just returned from a supply run, and from meeting up with two hunters that were two towns over who were struggling with a minor case three hours away. You had been gone way longer than intended and had rushed home to make sure Gabriel was okay.
The silence that greeted you as you entered the house was deafening, but had been this way ever since Gabriel’s kidnapping, even post his return. The most you got out of him were small whines of distress and the occasional grunt of thanks when you gave him fresh clothes, changed the bed, cleaned up after a panic attack of his or made sure he had the first shower. The silence, however, would always fill you with dread.
You learnt pretty early on not to announce your arrival, loud noises were still really hard for him. Instead, you’d walk pass all the doors, knocking on them softly until you got a response, letting him know you were home.
This particular day, however, you walked around your house knocking on all the doors that Gabriel was usually in. Not a sound. Dread became panic as you still couldn’t find him. He didn’t have any mojo whatso ever, leaving him defenceless, and he was still incredibly weak.
Rushing down the stairs, you start looking in all the closets and hiding places he may be before a small crash from a forgotten door shocks you to realise you had, in fact, not looked everywhere.
Pushing the door open, you see a slightly startled Gabriel staring at the wooden posts you had left laying in the sunroom that had slowly become a storage room. You breathe a sigh of relief, letting your boyfriend know you were present. He looks ready to bolt as he expects you to become angry at the broken bowl at his feet, it was clear he had been attempting some form of ritual or spell.
“Are you okay?” Is the first thing that comes out of your mouth. It takes a minute but he nods slowly. “Okay, do you want me to clean this up?” He looks puzzled, another facial expression that was new but a now common one, whenever you didn’t react the way that he expected. He shakes his head before pointing at himself. “Okay, I can get you the stuff to clean it up.” He seemed to relax at that, and then you realise that this was the most relaxed you’d seen him since his return. Sure, he was still tense, but he wasn’t looking for an escape. In comparision to the way he had been, you could call it almost peaceful. Smiling, you come back with newspaper, dustpan and broom and a bag, approaching carefully to give to him. He didn’t even hesitate to take it from you, fingers brushing against your wrist, all to familiar and all to missed electric shocks through your system. You move to sit in one of the wooden chairs in the room.
When you bought this place, you and Gabriel had decided to move in. You had been staying on university campus, where you met the love of your life who was working as a janitor and needed to find a place. Fast. When this beautiful home came up on the market, you immediately fell in love, but the price tag attached was too high and you knew it the moment you walked through the front doors. So, to your surprise and delight, Gabriel went out and bought it for the two of you. You had originally planned to make the sunroom a garden of sorts, with lots of pot plants and a small area for sitting and relaxing. That, however, never happened and the room slowly became more of a storeroom than anything else. Gabriel would always say he could snap his fingers and the room would become what you had intended, with your belongings stored somewhere safe, but you had always insisted on doing it the human way. Which, of course, never happened.
An idea suddenly appears in your mind when Gabriel begins to place the shattered glass that really was only used for spells in dire circumstances on top of the newspaper.
“You know how we always intended this room to become a garden?” You inquire. His head cocks, acknowledging your statement as he strains to find a memory of the many conversations and one particularly nasty and useless argument you had over the room. Finally, he nods. “What if we finally did that? Then, if you are feeling stressed or anxious, you can come in here and just relax?” He seemed to ponder over the idea. “It’ll be your room, the one where I won’t come in unless you ask.” That seemed to persuade him and he nodded enthusiastically. “Okay, when you are ready for the stitches to come out, and to go out to the nursery, we will do it.”
That, you knew, was cruel. Gabriel could barely handle being touched, and you knew the stitches were a sensitive subject. But you a) couldn’t go out with his face looking the way it did, and he hated anything covering his head and b) the longer the stitches were in there, the higher the chance of infection became. You had to try to convince him to get them out.
The panic seemed to set in as he looked over to you, eyes clearly how distressed he was. You looked down at him before moving to crouch beside him. “I know you don’t want them removed, but Gabe, they aren’t good for you. I know they cause you pain, I see that every day. If you keep them in any longer, I’m scared they are gonna get infected and then I’m going to have to take you to the hospital because I wouldn’t know what to do. You know I love you. And you know I don’t want to cause you pain. But they need to come out.” You can see that your mini speech got through to him a little. All you want to do is hold him and reassure him that everything would be alright, but that would not be appreciated. “Do you need to be alone?” You ask quietly. He automatically shakes his head as he wraps up the bowl and places it carefully in the bag before handing it to you. You stand, which he mirrors.
“Can you just…think about it, please?” He nods carefully. “That’s all I ask, love.”
Two weeks later, he approached you with a kidney dish, a sponge that automatically provides you with disinfectant, a pair of tweezers and a pair of small scissors, with a small note. ‘Take them out.’
Three hours later, and a lot of reassurance, later the stitches were out. Two days later, he claimed to be ready to go to the nursery. Surrounded by the flowers, shrubs and trees he genuinely looked happy and at home. Not that you could know for certain.
He still refused to talk.
You didn’t expect him to become the chatty Cathy he was prior to being taken away, but you expected some kind of verbal response. All you got was whimpers and the occasional moan during flashbacks and nightmares.
But that didn’t matter right now. He will talk when he’s ready. But, this was important, he was out and he hadn’t needed to escape to calm down.
You purchase an unholy amount of plants and materials ready for the sunroom, and you turned around to find him gone. Panic sets in as you look around, trying to figure out where the hell he had gone so you could coax him home if he needed it.
But, he hadn’t gone far. Seeing your panicked demeanour, one of the assistants moved into help you find him. The both of you cracked a smile when you found him.
There, plastered up against the cake display unit, was your archangel. Shaking your head, you thank the girl who helped you.
“I can tell he loves his sweets.” She teased lightly.
“Yeah,” the grin on your face took over your entire face as you look over at him, “he really, really does.”
You give him more time by, with the girls help, moving your purchases to your car before returning, approaching him slowly. Well, it’s good to know your love of all things sugary hasn’t left.” You tease gently. The smile he sends your way was a glimmer of the charming and mischievous one he once gave you. “Would you like to grab a couple to take home?” He doesn’t even hesitate. He nods enthusiastically. “Pick out however many you like.”
You ended up leaving with all of them, and an ice cream each.
~~~
The sunroom ended up looking stunning, with a mix of colours, with green taking over the majority of the room. Seven years, eight months in the making and the room was everyting you pictured and more. Flowers, loud and proud, take over a major part of the room but a small garden with strawberries, lettuce and tomatoes in a corner caused you to smile a little. The final touch was a swing, egg shaped chair for him when the attacks set in. As promised, the moment the room was complete, you didn’t step a foot in or near the door, leaving him to his own space. He spent most of his time in that room, stressed or not. He seemed to respect that, and occasionally invited you in to read in the garden with him.
It was weeks later that you brought up the subject of his wings. “They haven’t been groomed in, what I suspect, nearly a year. I just want to make sure they are okay. And you can’t check yourself.” He immediately rushed to his sunroom, and you dropped the subject all together. It wasn’t until six days later, he brought you into the sunroom and gave you a small piece of paper.
‘If I’m in here, I don’t think I’ll freak out. My wings, they aren’t the same. But they cause me pain, and I know you can help me. But please, promise to be gentle?’ You look up from the paper and lock eyes with his golden ones.
“Of course I’ll be careful.” You promise. He nods, lips tightly pressed together before he covers his eyes the pointing to you. Obeying his instructions, you close your eyes tightly to let him show his wings. A small tap on your forearm causes you to open your eyes, but the sight you see causes you to gasp.
The once pure white with golden highlighted feathers were dulled considerably. Parts of his wings looked broken, and they seemed to twitch in fear and recoil as you approach. Patches looked dry, like his oil glands had been clogged or damaged. Rotting, broken feathers litter his wings, and large areas look black and in a state of decay. You nod.
“Do you want to do it all at once, or in sections?” He holds up one finger, the first option. You indicate to the floor. “Why don’t you face the garden so I can get to work?”
He moves to sit on his knees, and you move to sit behind him. He tenses when he hears you approach. You stop. “Hang on.” You instruct as you rush back to the kitchen, pulling out the biggest tub of ice-cream from your freezer and a large spoon from the drawer before moving to grab a massive bowl of water and several towels and a large bag, ready to dispose of the rotting wings. You make your way back, making sure to approach more from the front than the back.
You place the ice-cream in front of him. “Two things you love, sugar and nature.” You tease gently, placing the remainder of your stuff next to him before grabbing the latest book he had been reading, passing it quietly. Finally, you kneel behind him, the closest you had been to him since he arrived on your front porch. Both of you were on edge. “I need you to spread one of your wings, Gabe.” You murmur quietly. It takes a second, and a ton of whimpering, but the left wing spreads obediently.
The amount of work is incredible and almost overwhelming. You move to work on the most important part, the decaying feathers. You wait until you hear Gabriel munching away at the ice-cream before you start, pulling gently at the rotting feathers. A few were still intact in the wing, which was shocking but you managed to remove them with minimal fuss. They automatically make their way to the bag. The stench was incredible, and the more you work the more the worse it seems to get. But you work through it.
You finally find out the cause of the dry feathers. The oil glands had, indeed, been blocked by the rotting feathers and stuff that you couldn’t even begin to identify. You quickly and with an attempt at minimal pain, remove one of the feathers blocking the glands. The overflow of oil was revolting, the smell itself nearly knocked you out and the colour was milky instead of clear. You quickly move to grab the damp cloth and start wiping away at the oil until it appeared clear and was odourless before repeating the process with all the other glands, the sight and smell seemingly getting worse the more you worked until you finally reached the final one, which had an opaque and thick oil ooze out of it as you slowly worked to get all of it out of the gland and out of the feathers.
When you finished, you moved on to the final step. Removing all the loose, broken and fallen feather that had been caught within the wing. The process was quick, and you knew that they were causing him discomfort and itchiness. When you finally finished, you take a step back and look at your handiwork.
The wing looked much better. Still at an awkward angle (that you had discovered that it had, in fact, been broken and healed in a bizarre and no doubt unpleasant position, but you were unable to do anything about that), the wing had bald patches where all you could do was remove all the feathers in sight, but they’d grow back in time. Although the wing still looked dulled, the sheen thanks to the oil gave it a glimmer of what it used to look like. No blackness or decay and definitely no smell.
The bag you had brought in was overflowing with feathers, and the water you had was murky and disgusting. You stood to grab another lot of cloths, fresh water and a new bag when you noticed three things. One, Gabriel had already devoured all the ice-cream and completed his new book, two, his right wing was relaxed and had expanded, twitching no longer occurring and three, he was fast asleep.
You smiled. The amount of trust you had gained over the last few months was finally beginning to show. He showed no signs of nightmares, in fact he looked at peace and almost, dare you say it, angelic. You move to run your hands through his hair, smooth and soft strands gliding through your fingers effortlessly. You knew the second wing was going to be much worse, and you knew you had spent more than four hours on the first but it was worth it just to see for a few moments that he was beginning to trust and be more comfortable with you.
By the time you returned, he was awake and a new pile of books appeared at his side. He looked up to you, a small glint of what you could only describe as happiness shone through his eyes. You smile at him gently, which grants you a small twitch at the corner of his mouth which lead to a small, genuine smile.
“Ready to get started on the right one?” You ask as you move to kneel behind him.
So that’s how you spent the rest of the afternoon. You working diligently on his wing, humming human and angelic lullabies that Gabriel had taught you, him reading book after book, both of you relaxed and carefree in your own little bubble as if none of this had ever occurred.
When you finally finished, you smooth your hands over the top ridge of his wings, moving along them both to find any other inconsistencies you may have missed. Both of them looked a lot better and were fully extended, almost with confidence as they knew you weren’t a threat. “All done.” You inform, standing as you gather the feathers ready to burn them outside.
“Thank you.” You almost jump when you hear his voice for the first time in over a year. Hoarse, barely a whisper. But it was there. “I…I love you.” He managed to get out. You smile over at him.
“I love you too. And you’re welcome.” You move out the door, leaving Gabriel in a state of calm as he puts away his newly cleaned wings, standing to follow you with the rest of your stuff. He looks back over at his garden before smiling softly. He never once was scared when you worked on him. And, out of everything that had happened, that gave him confidence that he was, in fact, healing. He quietly shuts the door before leaving the house to your side as he watches the evidence of his trauma to his wings burn away.
One step at a time.
~~~
You woke with a start, the nightmares of Gabriel being tortured at the hand of faceless demons, archangels and Princes of Hell causing your stomach to drop and harden in panic.
You took a few deep breaths, trying to recenter yourself. The nightmares had become a regular occurrence since Gabriel arrived and you had slowly pieced together what had happened to him. You had gotten yourself into a routine as a result.
Breathe.
Recenter.
Splash cold water over your face.
Have a drink.
Try again to fall asleep.
You groan as you sit up, ready to move into the ensuite to complete your ritual before returning to bed. The cool water makes your hot, sweaty face feel clean and refreshed. Drying your face carefully, you look around for the glass you kept near your sink only to remember the events that unfolded the day before.
You were expected the boys to come along with the details of a hunt they were struggling with, wanting your input. You and agreed that there was some form of witchcraft involved, but there also seemed to be some kind of animal-like attacks occurring at the same time. They were hoping your input would assist with figuring out the case.
You had, unfortunately, no time to warn Gabriel. One look at Castiel and he was gone, ran straight to your room where everything and anything that was breakable ended on the floor in pieces. Including your glass in your bathroom.
The violent outbursts were rare, and never scared you; and to be perfectly honest, you were almost chuffed that he found comfort in your room. It was a step. But explaining to the boys what had occurred without giving too much away, and explaining why you didn’t call them? That had been a challenge. You got them to leave the details of the case and got them out of the house before rushing up the stairs to your boyfriend. He was hidden in the far corner of your bathroom. Carefully, you walked in, mindful to leave all the doors open for a quick getaway in case he needed it. You sat down opposite him, making sure he could see all of you as you talked in the quiet voice that he seemed to find solace in, telling him stories of your life before meeting him, most of which he had heard and a couple he hadn’t. It took two hours, but eventually, he was calm enough to move to sit next to you, arms and legs ghosting next to yours. He gently took your hand and squoze it firmly before letting go, standing up and leaving to grab a dustpan and broom. A silent thank you.
You smile slightly at the memory. Any progress is progress, even if it occurs just after a massive jump backwards. You were happy, at least, that since you worked on his wings he definatley was speaking more. His voice not use to being used was often scratchy, hoarse and quiet, but every day you heard his voice you rejoiced.
You discovered that every time he spoke he always made sure to say that he loved you, and was always antsy until you responded in kind. You figured that he thought that either a) you didn’t know or b) he didn’t say it enough before he was kidnapped, and he was making up for that and for the lost time where he was mute. He had made so much progress, the only thing that occurred now was he was extremely jumpy with loud noises. And the occasional nightmare which sent him running to the sunroom, which he now informed you that you were allowed to come and go as you pleased. You still gave him his space and only went in when you felt you needed to, but to know you were allowed in his space let you know that he was clearly on his way to a more or less complete recovery.
So, quietly so not to disturb your sleeping archangel, you make your way down to the kitchen to grab a new glass. On your trek back up, a slight glow from the sunroom drew your attention.
Being mindful not to scare off whoever or whatever was in there, you entered the once barely used room carefully. The sight that greeted you caused you to smile softly.
Old bed linin had been taken from the linin press and had been thrown haphazardly into what appeared to be a blanket fort, with the fairy lights you had bought last Christmas lighting up the multicoloured fort softly. You get on your knees softly and slowly move forward to look inside.
Sure enough, there in the mountain of pillows surrounded by the gently glowing light, was your boyfriend, breathing softly. It was the calmest you’d seen him in a long while, the light reflecting off his face making him look, well, angelic.
You shift, moving to sit more comfortably whilst being mindful not to touch him, the peace that he was obviously feeling washing over you. It was the first time in a long time that you could just sit, with no worries, no pain and no monitoring his every move for signs of an attack of any kind.
You miss him, even though he was right in front of you. You couldn’t just go up and snuggle next to him like you used to, and you couldn’t initiate a prank war with him anymore. But it was times like this that made you realise that that was all okay, it didn’t matter anyway. Because he was safe.
Bright golden iris lock with yours is what shakes you from your thoughts when you realise that Gabriel was, in fact, awake.
“Sorry.” You offer quietly as you move to get out of his safe space only for a hand on your calf to stop you.
“Stay.” His hoarse voice barely audible as the plea leaves his lips. “Please?” You can feel his nervousness in the air, its thick and it nearly chokes you as you breath in.
“Of course. Of course, I’ll stay.” You motion to him, “How to you want me?” He tugs lightly at your arms, pulling you closer to him until your laying down parallel to him, his eyes locked into yours as you absentmindedly push a strand of hair that you had yet to convince him to cut out of his face and tuck it behind his ear. The small smile he gave you was enough to send your heart soring, relief pooling in your system as he grabs your hand and holds it to his chest tightly.
“I love you.” Was the last thing he said before his eyes close. The only thing that let you know that he was alive was the ever-beating heart in his chest and you realised that, out of everything that you had lost, these were the moments you had gained, and you never wanted to lose. Where you knew that nothing could harm you.
Sure, you couldn’t joke around as you once could, and he rarely spoke, but he was safe. You both were going to be okay.
And tucked away in the small fort located in the barely used room, locked away from the rest of the universe, that’s all that matters.
so sokudo,san! “Just listen to me for once!” “You made me so worried!” “Are you going out again?” “I’m so proud of you.” “Come here. I’ll play with your hair until you fall asleep.” AND KUN WITH “I checked for monsters, but they’re all scared of me.” ,IT SOUNDS CUTE! also you don't have to do all of these,feel free to pick the one you'd have most fun writing!
These are all very tempting prompts and I would love to write for most or all of them one day, but right now it was the last one with -kun ages that spoke to me, it was too cute! Hope you like it!
———-
“I checked for monsters, but they’re all scared of me.”
Choromatsu lowered his blanket just enough to peer over the edge of it at Osomatsu, his fingers trembling as he tightly gripped the soft material. “Are you sure?”
“Of course!” Osomatsu declared, planting his hands on his hips and puffing his chest out proudly. “They know they don’t stand a chance against me, so they all go into hiding the moment they hear me coming!”
Choromatsu eyed him warily, definitely skeptical of that statement, but he did stop hiding behind his blanket. Instead he wrapped it snuggly around himself, still shivering a little. “Are you positive they’re all gone? You checked every corner of the closet?”
“Yeah, of course! Nothing scary in there, except for some stinky old shoes. And I’m pretty sure those won’t attack you in the middle of the night.”
Choromatsu giggled softly at that, which served as some gratification for Osomatsu. He hoped that meant he was starting to relax a little, enough to fall asleep. It was the middle of the night, and they were the only two wake in the sextuplet’s darkened bedroom, pitch black except for the moonlight spilling in through the window. Their brothers were all sound asleep around them, tucked up in their own futons, a few of them snoring quietly (especially Jyushimatsu).
“But how can a monster really be scared of you?” Choromatsu finally ventured to ask, his voice barely above a whisper. “You’re just a kid. And a monster is…a monster.”
Osomatsu huffed indignantly, plopping down on Choromatsu’s futon. “Because I’m a good fighter! What, you don’t believe me?”
“Well, I’ve never seen you fight a monster…” Choromatsu began, then paused, eyes wide with wonder. “Have you?”
“Mmhmm! I have!” Osomatsu decided now was as good a time as any to impress his brother with a little story, and maybe convince him he didn’t have anything to worry about. “It happened a year ago, but I didn’t tell anyone about it ‘cause I thought they’d be too scared. Do you want me to tell you about it?”
Choromatsu nodded eagerly, hugging his blanket more tightly around him.
“Okay.” Osomatsu grinned, pleased to have such an attentive audience, even if it was just one person. “It happened one day when I was walking home from school. You guys were already at home, ‘cause the teacher was keeping me late for talking back in class. So when I finally got out, it was late and getting dark, and I wanted to get home fast. So I took a shortcut through the park, you know, that one creepy one near school with all the overgrown trees that no one ever goes to?”
Choromatsu nodded again, slowly. It was scary-looking, and Osomatsu had ventured briefly into there one time on a dare, so that part of the story wasn’t a complete lie.
“So anyway, I was in the park, just running along the path, when suddenly I was ambushed…by a witch!” There, that sounded suitably horrifying, although he didn’t really know much about witches aside from old fairy tales. He’d have to ad-lib it.
Choromatsu gasped. “Really?!”
“Really! She was super creepy, too!”
“What did she look like?”
Osomatsu knew he had to cook up a gruesome image for Choromatsu, and squinted one eye shut thoughtfully as he described it. “She was like the witch in that storybook Mom used to read us when we were little. She was tall, and hunched over, with a horrible humpback. And she had this big, crooked nose with a wart on it, and glowing yellow eyes like a cat’s, and these long boney fingers. And she was wearing this tall black hat and cape, and holding a broomstick!”
“Oh! That sounds terrifying!” Choromatsu shuddered at the thought.
“It was!” Osomatsu nodded in affirmation. “And when she saw me, she cackled and her voice was all hoarse. She said, ‘hello, young boy, are you lost?’ And I said, ‘no, I’m not, I’m going home.’ And then she said, ‘no, you aren’t, I’m going to kidnap you and you’re going to be my dinner tonight!’”
“She wanted to eat you?!”
“Well, of course. Witches eat kids, Choromatsu. Everyone knows that.” Then, realizing that perhaps this wasn’t the best fact to share under these circumstances, he hastily added, “But they’re pretty rare around here, so I wouldn’t worry about any old witch just coming around wanting to eat you. This was a one-time thing. And besides, there are good witches too. They won’t hurt you at all. She just wasn’t one.”
Choromatsu didn’t look certain, but he wanted to believe his brother, so he said quietly, “Okay.”
“Anyway. When she said that, I screamed and started running away, but she got on her broom and started chasing after me. Her broom was a flying broom, so it was really fast and she caught up to me easily. She almost grabbed me, but then, guess what?”
“You…you escaped?”
“Nope! I stopped running, and I turned around and glared at her real meanly. And I yelled at her, ‘if you want to fight me, then fight me! I know karate!’”
“But…you don’t know karate,” Choromatsu pointed out.
“I’ve watched karate movies, I know enough! Now don’t interrupt.” Osomatsu waved him off. “So I demonstrated some moves, just to scare her, and it worked! She got so spooked she ran screaming, and never came back again.” He crossed his arms and smiled proudly. “The end.”
“Wow! That was really brave, Osomatsu!” Choromatsu said, amazed.
Osomatsu smiled modestly. “So now do you believe you’re safe from monsters?”
“Yeah…” Choromatsu still sounded skeptical though. “But…could you still sleep in my futon with me, just in case?”
“Choromatsu, we’re a little old for that.”
“I know…but just for tonight? Please?” Choromatsu gazed at him pleadingly.
“Well…okay,” Osomatsu finally agreed. “Move over then, don’t hog too much of the blanket.”
Choromatsu obliged, scooching over so Osomatsu could settle down beside him. They lay down comfortably, snuggled close together. It was a tight squeeze, but Osomatsu didn’t mind, as long as Choromatsu felt safe and protected.
“G’night, Oso,” Choromatsu murmured with a yawn. “Thank you for staying with me…”
“No problem, little bro,” Osomatsu replied, yawning as well and closing his eyes. “I’ll always be by your side and keep you safe, no matter what.”
They were asleep in seconds.
