Celebrate Detroit Evolution's Five Year Anniversary!

It's been almost five years since we released our Reed900 fan film Detroit Evolution, so we're celebrating with a fandom and art festival all April long.

Simply post something related to the daily prompt starting April 1st. This can be art, cosplay, fanfic, essays, meta, memes, video, music - anything you'd like! Also it doesn't have to be new. Reposts and archival work is totally fine. This is about nostalgia, after all~

Where to post? Wherever you'd like. I don't really monitor Facebook, Tiktok, AO3 or Youtube, and I'm not on Threads at all, but if it's on Tumblr, Instagram, Twitter, or BlueSky, I'll be tracking the #DEHomecoming tag. And of course, there's our Octopunx community site. If there's enough participation and if I have time, I might do a showcase stream in May looking back on everyone's stuff!

We have a prompt for every day, but filling out something for every day is totally optional. Take or leave whatever you'd like.

These daily prompts are broad for a reason. Feel free to be creative with how you interpret them!

The “keep your enemies close” logic runs deep in Gavin, so when he insists on Nines coming along with him places, or stands near the android unprompted, Nines thinks Gavin likes him

The two best reasons to ship anything are:

1.Incredible deep and detailed narrative themes. The parallels that seem to hit just right, the narrative foils that they can be to each other, the intricate dynamic that's both extremely complex and easily understood. The juxtaposition between something that's harsh and undoubtedly toxic, with the softer undertones, the parts where you read in-between the lines and find a mutual feeling of loneliness from both parts, their intrinsic understanding of each other comes from the mere fact that they're each others mirrored reflections and shadows. In the end both sides will be together forever, and you as an audience can clearly see their tragedy laid out before in a path that blurs pure anguish and tender romance
