On Tonight's Episode of, "Jessica Watches the CSI Franchise 20 Years Too Late":

Imagine all the storylines that would have never happened if all of the police precincts had mandatory therapy after a traumatic event.

Like...did they not think that Flack would probably have PTSD from his gf dying in his arms? And then straight-up murdering her killer? And then immediately getting shot at in a drive-by? And then watching one of his friends become temporarily paralyzed after getting shot at during said drive-by?

Because if he did go to therapy, it did not work.

OH AND...the way that Mac just lets Flack back on the case after the events of "Don Flack and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day" because Flack said he was sorry and it would never happen again? Yeah, okay.

Don Flack Jr. “CSI: NY” Headcanon (AU)

Don came from a political family who had big expectations for him and pushed him into the world of politics and pretty much groomed him since he was really young from private schools to taking music lessons and pretty much giving him this perfect set up for the future, they want him to have Governor presidency possibly.

He end up with resentful relationship with his parents because of this as he became an adult .

He always wanted to be a police officer and admired being a police officer. But his parents encourage him to go to law school and pursue other avenues, which worked before time until he eventually finally did what he wanted to do and become a police officer in joining the CSI.

He never felt better. He never felt like he got to do what he wanted to do and out of the world of back, scratching and handshaking. Mostly he was happy to get away from his parents.

He was often called” JFK Junior” in his early years in police work at first, which he hated because it made him sound like an opportunist(they weren't weren’t opportunists, but the way they said it made it seem like he’s went there for the job but as a stepping stone ) which he wasn’t. He was genuinely there FOR the job because he loved it, The eventually stopped, but it doesn’t stop people from making comparison, but he does get called “pretty boy “ which he actually prefers over the latter name.

Haven’t watched the CSI:NY ep Pay Up since it first aired in 2009. It still hurts so much to watch with Jessica Angell dying. God, it still sucks. She was such a good character. I loved her relationship with Flack and I hate what losing her did to him the following season. I wish the writers and TPTB had let her stay.

Also, I remember the night the ep aired and it was the same night that Izzie from Grey’s Anatomy kinda died and saw George and Jim and Pam from The Office found out they were having a baby. I will never forget that rollercoaster of emotions watching my fave shows that night.

Finally getting back tot he 30 Day Writing Challenge! This one is an answer to Day 13 (Write 10 sentences about the last item you bought), where I have Flack and Danny talking about bagels.

Talking Bagels - On the way to the labs with bagels in tow for their co-workers, Danny and Flack talk bagels.

“Everything bagels are the best,” Danny said as he and Flack walked down the street from the bagel shop back to their car. “You got a good bagel base, onions, garlic, poppy seeds, sesame seeds…the best, I’m telling you.” Danny took a bite of his bagel. “I got enough for most of the labs, with cream cheese for everyone, but mine has got lox. That’s the proper way to eat a bagel.”

“I’m a bagel and butter person when it comes to everything bagels,” Flack said.

“You, the foodie, would pair butter with the perfection of an everything bagel?”

“Only if it’s Irish butter, preferably with a hint of garlic and herbs.”

Danny gave him a glance. “Okay, maybe I can forgive that. But cream cheese and lox on a plain?”

“And my childhood favorite for a quick breakfast: peanut butter on a cinnamon raisin.”

“That’s blasphemy!”

“But it tastes damn good.”
