ok but Zak would definitely start cracking up whenever you come on lockdowns with him.
for instance, you were slowly walking through the corridor of a mansion you guys were investigating, when you hear Aaron whine about going into a certain room. Behind you Zak shouts,
“Aaron, that rooms is known for a little girl crying. All I hear is your crying and whining, get your ass into the room.” You leaned against Zak, tears pricking your eyes because of how hard you were laughing. His deep chuckle vibrates your body, causing you to grip his arm tighter as you laugh.
Another time,
The five of you were investigating an old penitentiary and you stepped into the bathroom. A sharp bang was heard in the bathroom and you shot back in fear, falling into Aaron.
“Shit, sorry Aaron. That scared the shit out of me.” You mumble.
“You’re all good man.” Aaron reassured, patting your shoulder. Zak was the first to enter the room, holding a digital recorder. To your surprise Zak says,
“We heard you in here. Are you going potty?”
It took a second before what he said registered in all your heads. After that all of you, apart from Zak, busted out laughing.
“What? Shut the fuck up Aaron and get serious.” Zak questioned. You put your head in your hands and laughed even harder. It was such a joy to be around them.

My Master List
Tumblr media
You smiled as you watched Zak give his intro to Jay’s camera with his usual enthusiasm. He gestured to the large, decrepit building around you as he led the intro to your lockdown.
“I can speak for all of us when I say this is the investigation of a lifetime. We’ve been waiting for years to investigate this place.” He grinned at the camera. “That being said, we aren’t going to handle this lockdown like we usually do. We have a bit of a surprise for you all, a surprise for one of our newest and most loved member of the Ghost Adventures crew.” He glanced over to you and winked. Oh no, what the hell did he have up his sleeve?
“Most of you know Y/N, my beautiful girlfriend and partner in crime. She’s been behind the scenes, analyzing our findings from our investigations for just about a year now. She helps with set up during investigations and has joined all of us on several lockdowns this season.” He winked your way, forcing your eyes to roll. “Well, tonight, she’s going to be officially initiated into the Ghost Adventures lockdown team, GAC style. We’re going to be putting her into the most haunted room at this location by herself for a solo investigation.”
Your eyes widened like saucers. What the fuck did he just say? You? Most haunted room? By yourself? That was a first that you weren’t exactly thrilled about.
You were going to murder him when you got home.
“Alright. Let’s get this investigation started. We’re going to start with Aaron and myself going to the third floor, where the shadow figure has been seen by multiple eye witnesses. Billy and Jay are going to the basement, where it is rumored that a former home owner murdered and buried their husband in cold blood. They’ll be doing some EVP burst sessions, and will bring the Ovilus to see what they can pick up. Y/N will be stationed on the first floor at nerve center, for now.” He grinned and glanced over to you again. Then, Jay cut the camera and the five of you made your way to your locations.
The first set of investigations were reasonably successful. Zak and Aaron had caught a few words from the same voice on the spirit box, while Jay and Billy had a few intelligent responses on the Ovilus. Spirits were high, no pun intended, but so was your anxiety.
“Alright, I think it’s about time Y/N started her investigation,” Zak narrated to the camera. “I will be walking her to the room, then she will be on her own. Of course, we will all be watching her from nerve center. But, I want to see what she can pick up.”
Zak made his way over to you, reaching for your hand. You took it and instantly squeezed, your nerves surfacing full force. He squeezed you back, obviously trying to calm your nerves. But, it wasn’t helping. You always thought you wouldn’t be afraid of something like this. But honestly, you thought you would never be in this predicament. Now that it was happening, you were pretty flipping nervous.
It didn’t help that the room you were going to be alone in was up on the second floor, the very room where the former home owner slept. She was the same one who reportedly murdered and buried her husband in the basement. Zak thought she would respond to a woman’s presence, and since you were the only woman on the team, that was your cue.
Zak and you entered the room, then he sat you in a chair against the far wall. Once you had your handheld camera turned on, he handed you the spirit box.
He leaned over and placed a soft kiss on your forehead. He was rarely affectionate on camera, but sometimes he let his rules slide. And judging by the way you were shaking, he must have thought this was definitely one of those special circumstances.
“We’re all downstairs. We have our eyes and ears on you. If you get anxious or feel uncomfortable, let us know and I’ll come running. Okay?” He smiled in the darkness. “I love you. You’re gonna be fine.” You nodded, then let out a deep sigh as you watched him exit.
A few minutes after he left, you switched on the spirit box. You peered around the dated room through your camera’s tiny viewfinder. It was so dark, and the only sound around you was the static of the spirit box.
“I-Is anyone here? Do you want to talk to me?” Silence. Nothing came through. So, you kept on, your hand visibly trembling under the speaker. “Did you live here?”
You nearly jumped out of your skin as voice came through on your walkie talkie. “You’re doing great, Y/N,” Zak praised.
“You scared the bajesus out of me, Bagans,” you muttered, knowing he could hear you through the static night vision camera on the other side of the room.
“Sorry,” he came through one more time with a chuckle. You smiled and rolled your eyes. Sure, you were still trying to steady your breath from the scare, but there was something about hearing Zak’s voice that soothed you. He was in the building and could be there in less than thirty seconds if you needed him.
You sighed, then continued your questions. “Are you the woman who murdered her husband?” Not even a second later, a rushed voice came through. To you, it sounded like ‘killed him dead’, which instantly gave you the chills.
“Why did you kill him? Did he hurt you somehow? Did he make you mad?” You listen closely as another voice came through, but it was too quick to hear any coherent words. You could feel yourself starting to get anxious, but you slowed your breathing in an attempt to keep yourself grounded.
“Is there anyone else here with me—” A loud growl came from the box, forcing you from your seat. You yelped as you spun around, staring at the chair from the center of the room.
“Y/N, you okay?” you listened to Zak’s voice on the walkie.
“Yeah,” you huffed to the room. “I’m good. Did you guys hear that?”
“It sounded like some sort of growl,” you heard Jay’s voice answer you. You nodded, then stared back at the box.
“Who just growled at me? Are you mad that I’m asking questions?” Your heart was racing, nearly beating out of your chest.
In that second, the entire vibe of the room changed. The dense air around you was like a cloud of thick, invisible smoke. Your chest started to feel heavy.
And that’s when another growl rumbled behind you. It was clear and hadn’t come from the spirit box. You jumped as you spun around to see if something was there.
“Did you just fucking hear that? Something growled behind me—"
“Ahhhh!” A voice shrilled from the speaker. Your eyes widened with fear.
“Zak!” You screamed as you began to panic. “I’m done. Get me out of here!” Within seconds, the pounding of footsteps on the stairs filled your ears, instantly easing your overwhelming terror.
“Y/N, are you okay?” Aaron huffed from behind Zak. Zak’s arms were around you in seconds, slipping the spirit box from your grasp to his.
“Yeah, I’m just done with whatever negative energy is up here,” you sighed as you turned towards the door. “That growling can’t be from something human. It sounded like a freaking rabid dog.” Zak’s arm was wrapped around your shoulder, pulling you against his side.
“You’re safe. You did fantastic, Y/N.” He turned to Aaron. “I think it’s Aaron’s turn to go solo.” He smirked in the darkness at his friend, who frowned.
“No, dude. Not after that growl, man.” Aaron started walking for the door, almost cutting both Zak and you off. But, Zak reached an arm out, blocking his best friend’s exit.
“Aaron, you’re staying up here. Do some EVP and see what you find. I’m sure you’ll be fine. If there’s activity, we can’t just walk away.” Aaron huffed, then shrugged, accepting his fate.
“Fine, dude. But if something negative attaches to me, I’m sending it after you.” Zak just laughed as he led you toward the stairs.
Once you both found your seats at nerve center, Zak leaned towards you, his lips hovering over your shoulder.
“I’m so proud of you,” he whispered, before kissing your temple. Billy groaned beside you.
“Guys, get a room,” he teased. Jay glanced over from his spot on the other side of Billy, simply grinning.
Zak scoffed. “Dude, shut up. I’m just telling Y/N how well she did. I think we can all agree that she’s the toughest one out of all of us. If that were any of us, we’d be bolting from that room squealing like a child.” A yelp echoed from Aaron’s camera feed, making you giggle. “I rest my case.” Zak leaned back in and kissed your cheek, then fixed his gaze back on Aaron.
You just sat there with a smile, proud of yourself. Sure, you got scared, but anyone would have. Who knew where that growl came from, anyway. But, one thing was for sure, you were now officially initiated into the lockdown crew.

Stubborn — Zak Bagans x Reader
“Y/n, why don’t you go to the top floor of the Villisca Axe Murder house? Stay on the top of the stairs and stay there for about maybe ten minutes. If you feel anything beforehand, don’t hesitate to call for us,” Zak finished in a firm voice.
“On it,” y/n answered in an unusually cheerful voice that surprised everyone. Zak handed y/n some equipment, including an EMF reader and an EVP recorder. Y/n made her way halfway up the stair before she stopped and sat down.
“I have an EMF detector,” said the reader, “along with this EVP recorder. The EMF will record any electro-magnetic pockets that are said to be spirits, and the EVP recorder will record any voices that are not mine. So I’mma turn this on —” She quickly turned on the EVP “— And rolling.” She paused for a moment, the silence pressing in on her ears. She swallowed. “Why do you like to harm people here?” She paused. Are you the Reverend? Or are you something more sinister? Was the murderer possessed?” She paused. “Ending. Guys, I’m coming back down and we can listen to this recording session together,” y/n called through the Walkie Talkie the guys had her carry around.
“Be careful, y/n/n,” Zak answered as y/n began to climb down the stairs.
But as she does she feels something push her down the stairs. She yelps in surprise as she feels a force on her shoulder blades, and she tumbles down the stairs, landing painfully on her head at the final step, groaning. She can hear running footsteps coming towards her and she can faintly hear Zak’s voice from nearby.
“Oh, my God! Y/n! Are you alright?!”
“I’m fine,” y/n gasps in return as Zak tries to help her stand up. She winces and carefully presses her fingers to where she had landed on the back of her head.
“That looked like a painful fall, y/n,” Zak insisted. “You should go sit down.”
“Zak, I’m fine,” y/n insisted, though she winces slightly from the slight movement of her head. “Ow.”
“Nope. That’s it. You’re coming back to rest at nerve center. I can have someone else take your place.”
“Zak,” y/n whines as he pulls her from the ax murder house.
“Y/n/n,” Zak mimics. He then gives her a stern look, his voice suddenly serious again. “Really, y/n/n. You hit your head hard.”
“I’m not a baby.”
“I just don’t want you to get hurt, y/n/n. Please?”
The puppy dog eyes that Zak gives her makes y/n’s shoulders relax. A genuine smile forms on her lips. His large, warm hand fit perfectly in hers as he tries to tug her out of the house.
“Alright, Zak. You win.”
Zak carefully leads y/n over towards nerve center where the rest of the boys were waiting. Nick has an ice pack in his hands and he hands the pack over towards y/n. She takes it gratefully and presses the cold pack on the back of her head. A look of relief floods across her face.
“See? I told you that you’d feel better,” Zak teases. Y/n opens her eyes, scowling at Zak.
“Shut up, Zak.”
“Right,” Zak answers, looking slightly amused. He turns to Aaron. “Hey, Aaron. Wanna go finish y/n’s job in the house?”
Aaron sighs, looking defeated. He shakes his head momentarily.
“Fine. I’ll do it.”
“That’s the spirit.”

Possession - Zak Bagans x Fem Reader
Tumblr media
Word Count: 3105
MY MAN MY MAN MY MANNNNNNNN
You chewed on your lip, the flickering flashlight beam dancing across the peeling wallpaper. It was your first official ghost hunt with the Ghost Adventures crew, and nerves buzzed beneath your skin like static electricity. You’d been obsessed with the paranormal since you were a kid, glued to every episode of the show, and now you were here, boots on the ground, ready to investigate.
Zak Bagans, the enigmatic and intense leader, stood beside you, his own flashlight cutting through the oppressive darkness of the abandoned Crestwood Sanatorium. The air hung thick, heavy with the weight of years of suffering and decay. The stench of mildew and something vaguely metallic tickled your nose, making you wrinkle it slightly.
“Alright, Y/N,” Zak’s voice, usually booming on TV, was quieter here, more focused. “Ready to get your hands dirty?”
You swallowed, forcing a confident nod. “Born ready.”
He gave a small, almost imperceptible smile, and then turned his attention back to the room. Aaron Goodwin, Billy Tolley, and Jay Wasley were fanning out, setting up equipment – cameras, EMF readers, spirit boxes. The familiar hum of their tech filled the silent space, a strange contrast to the unsettling stillness.
This was it. You were officially part of the Ghost Adventures team, even if just in a ‘trial by fire’ sort of way. Zak had reached out after seeing your online paranormal investigations, impressed by your meticulous research and – as he put it – your “unflinching approach to the unknown.” You still felt a thrill course through you remembering that email.
“We’re in the main patient ward,” Zak explained, gesturing around the cavernous room. Rows of empty beds, their metal frames rusted and skeletal, lined the space. Paint peeled from the high ceilings like sunburnt skin, and the floorboards groaned underfoot with each step. “High reports of residual energy and… something darker here. Nurse’s station over there,” he pointed with his chin, “that’s where we’re going to start.”
You nodded, heart pounding a rhythm against your ribs. You’d done your research on Crestwood. It had a grim history, rife with mistreatment and experimental procedures. Stories of patient deaths, whispered screams, and lingering despair clung to the very fabric of the building like cobwebs.
As you followed Zak to the nurse’s station, you pulled out your digital recorder, switching it on. “Testing, testing. Location: Crestwood Sanatorium, Main Patient Ward. Date and time…” You rattled off the details, your voice a little shaky.
Zak watched you, his intense blue eyes assessing. “Enthusiasm is good, Y/N, but don’t let it cloud your senses. Stay grounded, stay alert.”
“I will,” you promised, feeling a surge of determination. You wouldn’t let nerves get the best of you. You were here to prove yourself.
The nurse’s station was surprisingly intact, a small counter with drawers and cabinets behind. Dust coated everything, thick and undisturbed. Zak pulled out his EMF reader, the needle jumping immediately.
“Baseline is already high,” he muttered, frowning. “Okay, team. Let’s spread out, start our initial sweeps. Y/N, stay with me for now.”
You felt a small thrill at being chosen to stick with Zak. You tried to play it cool, nodding and focusing on your equipment. You pulled out your own EMF reader, mirroring Zak’s movements, watching the needle dance erratically.
“Anything?” Zak asked, his voice low.
“Yeah, definitely elevated,” you confirmed, noting the readings on your recorder too. “Inconsistent pulses, though.”
Zak nodded, his gaze sweeping over the room, sharp and focused. “Let’s try the spirit box.”
Billy set up the spirit box on the counter, the rapid-fire static hiss filling the silence. Zak began his questioning, his voice resonating with authority.
“Is there anyone here with us? Can you speak to us? Tell us your name.”
Static crackled, then fragmented words flickered through the noise. “…help…” “…pain…” “…dark…”
Goosebumps erupted on your arms. You exchanged a wide-eyed look with Zak. This was faster, more intense, than anything you’d experienced on your solo investigations.
“Can you tell us why you are in pain?” Zak pressed, his voice unwavering.
More static, then a clearer voice, deeper, guttural. “Leave.”
The air in the room seemed to physically constrict. A sudden chill ran down your spine, so intense it made your teeth chatter. You gripped your EMF reader tighter, your knuckles white.
“Did you hear that?” you whispered, your voice barely above a breath.
Zak stared at the spirit box, his jaw tight. “Yeah. That was… hostile.”
Suddenly, the temperature plummeted. The flickering fluorescent lights overhead buzzed and dimmed erratically. You felt a prickling sensation on your skin, like tiny needles. You were picking up on something, something strong.
Aaron, who was in a corner of the ward, called out, his voice laced with apprehension. “Guys, my camera just cut out. And my batteries are fully charged.”
Billy’s spirit box sputtered and died, the static abruptly ceasing. Jay’s flashlight beam wavered, then flickered off completely, plunging his section into near darkness.
A wave of unease washed over you, stronger than anything you’d felt before. It wasn’t just a ghostly presence; it felt… malevolent. You took a step closer to Zak instinctively, your heart hammering in your chest.
“Okay, team,” Zak said sharply, his voice cutting through the growing tension. “Power fluctuations. Could be environmental, could be… something else. Stay together, eyes open. Y/N, stick close.”
You didn’t need to be told twice. You felt a primal fear rising in your throat, but also a strange, morbid fascination. This was what you were here for, wasn't it? To face the darkness, to understand the unknown.
Zak moved slowly, cautiously, deeper into the ward. You followed, your flashlight beam trembling slightly. The silence was deafening now, the hum of the equipment gone, replaced by an oppressive stillness. You could feel the weight of unseen eyes on you, a sense of being watched, scrutinized.
Then, it happened.
A whisper, right in your ear, so close it sent shivers down your spine. It wasn’t audible, not exactly. It was more like a thought, planted directly in your mind, cold and insidious.
You are weak.
You gasped, stumbling back, your hand flying to your ear.
“Y/N?” Zak’s voice was instantly sharp with concern. “What is it? What’s wrong?”
You couldn’t articulate it, couldn’t explain the icy intrusion in your thoughts. “I… I heard something. Whispering.”
“Where?” Zak scanned the room, his flashlight beam sweeping around.
“Right here,” you pointed to your ear, your hand trembling. “In my head… it felt like… a thought.”
Zak’s brow furrowed. He placed a hand on your arm, his touch surprisingly firm and grounding. “Describe it. What did it say?”
You hesitated, the words feeling foolish, insignificant in the face of the overwhelming dread that was building. “It… it said I was weak.”
Zak’s eyes narrowed. He stepped closer, his gaze intense. “Don’t listen to it, Y/N. It’s trying to get inside your head. Don’t let it.”
He was right. You knew he was right. Fear was a weapon for these entities, a way to manipulate and control. You had to fight back. You took a deep breath, trying to center yourself.
“Okay,” you said, your voice firmer now, despite the tremor of fear still running through you. “Okay, I’m okay. Let’s keep going.”
Zak studied your face for a moment, his expression still concerned, but he nodded. “Alright. But you tell me immediately if you feel anything else, understand?”
“Absolutely.”
You continued deeper into the ward, the sense of dread growing with each step. The air grew colder, heavier, and the silence was more profound, more unsettling. You felt a palpable shift in the energy of the room, a drawing in, a focusing. It felt like something was gathering, concentrating its power.
Then, everything went to hell.
A bloodcurdling scream ripped through the silence, shattering the oppressive stillness. It was Aaron’s voice, raw with terror.
“Zak! Something’s got me!”
You whirled around, flashlight beam frantically searching. Aaron was slumped against a bed frame, his body rigid, eyes wide and staring, unfocused. He was making choking, gasping sounds, struggling for breath.
“Aaron!” Zak yelled, rushing towards him. Billy and Jay scrambled to Aaron’s side too, their flashlights converging on the scene.
As you moved closer, you saw it. It wasn’t visible, not in a way you could see with your eyes, but you felt it. A dark, oppressive presence clinging to Aaron, like a shroud. The air around him shimmered, distorted, as if heat was rising off asphalt on a summer day, but this was cold heat, a chilling distortion.
“Get it off him!” Zak yelled, grabbing Aaron’s shoulders, trying to pull him away from the bed frame. But Aaron was rigid, locked in place. His eyes rolled back in his head, showing only the whites.
“Aaron, can you hear me?” Zak shouted, shaking him. “Aaron, fight it! Fight it!”
Suddenly, Aaron’s head snapped up, his body convulsing violently. His eyes, when they focused again, were no longer Aaron’s. They were dark, malevolent, filled with an inhuman rage. His mouth opened, and a voice, deeper, harsher, utterly terrifying, erupted from his throat.
“You cannot stop me!”
The voice was not Aaron’s. It was guttural, monstrous, echoing in the ward, vibrating in your bones. Fear turned into icy terror, paralyzing you. You stumbled back, your flashlight falling from your numb fingers, clattering to the floor and plunging you into near darkness.
You could only watch, frozen, as Aaron – as whatever was possessing Aaron – thrashed wildly, his body slamming against the bed frame, the metal groaning under the force. Zak and Billy struggled to restrain him, but it was like trying to hold down a force of nature.
“Holy shit!” Jay yelled, his voice cracking with fear. “It’s a full-blown possession!”
Possession. The word hit you like a physical blow, solidifying the horrifying reality of what you were witnessing. This wasn’t residual energy, this wasn’t a fleeting encounter. This was something ancient, something evil, taking hold.
And then, it turned its attention on you.
The possessed Aaron’s head snapped in your direction, those terrifying eyes locking onto yours in the dim light. A cruel, twisted smile stretched his lips, a smile that was utterly alien, utterly wrong on Aaron’s face.
"You are the weak one," the monstrous voice hissed, directed solely at you. "You are the one I will break."
The words were like a physical assault, ripping through your defenses, amplifying the fear that was already consuming you. It felt like the entity was reaching out, not just with its voice, but with its very essence, probing, invading. You felt a cold tendril of something dark brush against your mind, and you recoiled instinctively.
But it was too late.
The coldness intensified, spreading through you like ice water. Your breath hitched in your throat. Your vision swam, blurring around the edges. Your limbs felt heavy,leaden, unresponsive. The room seemed to tilt, to spin around you.
You were falling.
You crumpled to the floor, your body hitting the cold, hard wood with a jarring thud. Darkness closed in around you, suffocating crushing. You could hear muffled shouts the frantic scrambling of footsteps, but they sounded distant unreal.
You tried to move, to breathe, but your body wouldn’t obey. Your lungs burned gasping for air that wouldn’t come. The coldness seeped deeper into your bones into your soul. You felt yourself drifting slipping away into the darkness.
This was it. This was how it ended. Not valiantly fighting ghosts, not uncovering secrets of the paranormal but dying on the cold floor of an abandoned asylum consumed by fear and… something else. Something evil.
Just as the darkness threatened to engulf you completely, a voice cut through the haze, sharp, insistent, filled with a desperate urgency.
“Y/N! Y/N, can you hear me? Stay with me!  Stay with me!”
It was Zak. His voice, raw with fear and something more… something that sounded like pain. His hands were shaking you gently but firmly. You felt a faint warmth a flicker of light in the encroaching darkness.
You forced your eyes open, struggling to focus. Zak’s face swam into view, inches from yours pale and strained in the dim light. His blue eyes, usually so intense were wide with fear but also… something else. Relief? Panic? Both?
“Y/N, you’re fading!” he yelled his voice tight with desperation. “Fight it! You have to fight it!”
Fight what? You were too weak too tired,The darkness was so inviting, so… peaceful.
But then, you saw his eyes. Zak’s eyes, locked on yours, pleading, urging you to fight. And in that moment something sparked within you. A flicker of defiance a refusal to surrender. You wouldn’t let this darkness win. Not here. Not now. Not while Zak was… looking at you like that.
You focused on his face on the intensity in his eyes, drawing strength from his desperation. You took a shallow shuddering breath, then another. Slowly agonizingly, sensation began to return to your limbs. The oppressive coldness began to recede, replaced by a faint, fragile warmth.
You coughed, a weak rattling sound. Zak’s grip on your shoulders tightened, his breath coming in ragged gasps.
“That’s it,” he whispered his voice hoarse with emotion. “Come on, Y/N. You’re stronger than it.  You’re stronger than it!”
His words were like a lifeline, pulling you back from the abyss. You focused on them, on his voice, on the warmth of his hands on your shoulders. Slowly painstakingly you pushed yourself up sitting, then kneeling.
The room swam back into focus, hazy at first, then clearing. You saw Aaron still thrashing Billy and Jay struggling to restrain him. But the dark, oppressive presence that had clung to him that had reached for you… it seemed to have lessened, to have weakened.
Zak helped you to your feet, his hands still gripping your arms tightly, as if afraid you would slip away again. He scanned your face his eyes searching assessing.
“You’re back,” he breathed, his voice thick with relief. “You’re really back.”
You nodded your legs still shaky your chest still tight but you were back. You were alive You had faced the darkness and you had survived.
He pulled you closer, his arms wrapping around you in a tight, almost desperate hug. It was the first time he’d ever touched you, and the physical contact the warmth of his body against yours, sent a jolt of something unexpected through you something that wasn’t fear.
“You scared the absolute shit out of me,” he muttered into your hair, his voice muffled but raw with emotion. “Don’t ever do that again.”
He pulled back slightly, holding you at arm’s length, his blue eyes boring into yours intense searching, and… something else. Something softer, something you couldn’t quite decipher.
“What… what happened?” you whispered, your voice still weak and shaky. “What was that?”
Zak’s jaw tightened. He glanced back at Aaron, who was still struggling, but the demonic voice seemed to have subsided, replaced by pained, desperate moans.
“It was demonic,” Zak said grimly, his voice low. “A powerful entity. It sensed your sensitivity, your… your openness. It tried to exploit it, to break you, to take you.”
His words sent another chill down your spine, but this time it wasn’t fear. It was a strange mix of fear and awe a dawning realization of the true power of the forces they were dealing with. And a strange sense of gratitude for being pulled back from the brink.
He reached out, his hand cupping your cheek his thumb gently stroking your skin. His touch was surprisingly tender contrasting sharply with his usual intensity. You looked up at him, your gaze locking with his and in that moment something shifted. The fear the adrenaline the near-death experience… it all coalesced into something else entirely.
He leaned down slowly hesitantly his eyes never leaving yours. Your breath hitched in your throat You knew what was coming, and you didn’t resist. You couldn’t resist.
His lips met yours, tentatively at first, then with a surprising urgency. It wasn’t a passionate kiss, not in the romantic sense. It was… something else. A kiss of relief of gratitude and… connection. A silent acknowledgment of shared fear shared vulnerability and shared survival.
When he pulled back, he kept his hand on your cheek, his thumb still stroking your skin His eyes were searching yours still filled with a mixture of relief and concern.
“You need to be more careful,” he said, his voice low, almost a whisper. The words were a reprimand but they were laced with an undercurrent of something else something deeper something that resonated in your chest. “You can’t just… throw yourself into the deep end like that. You understand?”
You nodded, your heart still pounding, your lips still tingling from his touch. You understood You’d been reckless too eager to prove yourself. You’d almost paid the ultimate price for that recklessness.
“I do,” you whispered, your voice still shaky. “I understand.”
He stared at you for another moment, his expression unreadable, then he let out a breath, a long, shaky exhale. He dropped his hand from your cheek, stepping back slightly, creating a small space between you again. The moment of intimacy, of vulnerability, seemed to recede replaced by the familiar professional intensity.
“Okay,” he said, his voice regaining its usual authority. “Aaron, Billy, Jay, let’s get Aaron out of here. We need to regroup, cleanse him, and then… we need to re-evaluate our approach here.”
He turned away, barking orders to the others, taking charge again, the leader, the protector, the intense and driven Zak Bagans you knew from TV. But something had shifted, something had changed. You had seen a glimpse behind the mask a flicker of vulnerability a flash of raw emotion and he had kissed you.
As you watched him directing the team helping to support a still-weak Aaron towards the exit, you touched your fingers to your lips, the ghost of his kiss still lingering there. You knew one thing for sure: your first ghost hunt with Ghost Adventures had been anything but ordinary. It had been terrifying, exhilarating, and… strangely, unexpectedly, intimate. And you had a feeling a deep unsettling thrilling feeling that this was just the beginning. You were officially in the deep end now and Zak Bagans was right there with you.

Imagine Zak confiding in you...
Zak Bagans x Reader (Gender Neutral)
“Y/N, I’m not sure about this lockdown. This is very dangerous stuff, dark stuff, and I don’t think it’s safe.” You’d seen Zak nervous before a lockdown a hundred times before, but this was different. His hands were clenched, his voice was shaking. Something was definitely wrong.
“If you don’t want to do it, we won’t. It’s up to you, boss.” That last word made him smile, easing the tightness in your chest just a little.
“I don’t know. Aaron wasn’t himself in there, and even you seemed on edge. You’re the strongest of any of us. If you’re being affected by what’s in there, I don’t want to risk your safety.” His brilliant blue eyes locked on yours. “I won’t put you in that kind of danger willingly.” You nodded.
“I love you too.” Zak’s cheeks flushed, as they always did when he heard those words. “I’m fine with continuing if the rest of the crew is. We’ll just need to be extra careful.” Zak sighed, still seeming unsure.
“Alright, but your filming me tonight. I don’t like the idea of you alone in there.”
You smirked. “I’m not going to argue with that.”

Zak Bagans with a ghost s/o
Tumblr media
• When you died you didn't expect to be stuck as a ghost, you found it even weirder that your newest companion would be alive.
• You first met Zak when he was investigating your old house, abandoned and rotting but it's not like you had anywhere else to go.
• After that encounter you soon became quite happily attached to the investigator.
• You never really understood his line of work. Ghost hunting, as he called it, granted it wasn't really hunting but you played along thinking it was a neat hobby. He wouldn't have met you if he hadn't been doing so you couldn't complain that much.
• As you and Zak spent more time together you'd gained quite the friendship and over the next few months of being attached to him, the relationship developed.
• At first the crew found it odd and were somewhat unnerved. They thought you were malicious and were trying to hurt Zak by attaching to him but over time they realized you had no bad intentions. They even started to become fond of you.
• Sure they found it a bit comical at first; a ghost and a ghost-hunter. Oh do opposites attract.
• You followed him to different investigations and helped him out and made the investigationa and lockdowns a lot easier. They didn't need half the equipment with you being able to translate for the other spirits.
• You very much enjoyed following Zak around. After years being bound to the place you died, it was nice to get out.
• Zak was nice enough to update you on the events you were missing out on in the world and showed you all the new inventions that were made from after you died.
• He thought it was cute that you never left his side, sure you could but why would you? The world is already a scary place let alone being dead in it.
• You'd always hover over him and around him, asking him questions and pestering him about random things. Sure some might fis it annoying but he found it entertaining.
• Whenever the crew would get new equipment Zak would always test it out on you to see if it works before they did a lockdown. He took extra time explaining it to you and showing how the equipment actually worked when you came into contact with in.
• One of your personal favorites was the devices where you could type things out. You didn't want to admit it but during investigations you'd type random stuff into the devices to see them go wild when they thought they'd caught something.

Where My Demons Hide (A Zak Bagans Story) Pt. 2
Tumblr media
Requested By: @goth-cowgirl-03
WARNINGS: Language
Notes: Unlike the first part this is pure FLUFF. Like no joke.
Zakkk: I’m sorry Y/N. I need time.
Zakkk: I think u do too.
That was the last text Zak had sent me since that night. It’s been only a month but the radio silence made it feel like a lifetime.
I explained to him what had happened the night before… How he was attacked and… and I thought I helped him… I told him how we ended up in bed together, and how, as it turns out, he was possessed the entire time he’d made love to me.
He quickly got dressed and went for a walk. While he was gone I got dressed, eliminated the buzz killing dickwad who was still lingering in the room and walked back to my room with the heavy weight of shame on my shoulders.
Now as I lay in my bed not wanting to get up, I sigh and put my phone back on the bedside table. As soon as I did a wave of nausea hit me full force and I darted to the bathroom. Once I kneeled over the toilet there was no stopping it. Looking at it you would think I’d thrown up every meal I’d had for the past week.
Empty of sustinence I flushed the toilet and sat down beside it to catch my breath. As I did my hand went up to my stomach to give it a much needed massage. My hand froze though when I touched myself. I looked down and gasped. The entire area between my hips was swollen, not dramatically so but enough to be noticeable. “Not possible…” I whispered. But once I felt the slightest nudge against my hand I knew…
“UNCLE LUCI YOU PIECE OF SHI-!” I was cut off by the sound of my doorbell. I groaned and pulled myself up.
As I made my way to my room to get my robe I sent a silent prayer to my father.
Uncle Luci did it. The Big A is on its way.
I threw my robe on and ran downstairs, sashing it as I did.
I looked through the peep hole not expecting to see anyone important; maybe the mailman, or Amazon. Instead of them though, Zak stood on my doorstep. Fucking great.
I sighed and opened the door. “Hey,” I greeted him.
“Hey, um, are you feeling okay?”
“Do I look that shitty?”
“Well, yeah, kind of…”
“Awesome,” I said unenthusiastically. “Um, is there something you wanted?”
“Um, I just wanted to talk but if you’re not up to it-”
“I was about to call you anyway,” I said stepping aside.
He stepped inside and started towards the living room. I followed close by but froze when a voice caught my attention.
Who is the mother?
“Y/N? You alright?” I held up a finger and pointed upward. A signal he grew to know very well.
They put him in me.
And the vessel father?
He’s standing right in front of me.
“Sorry about that, dad and I needed to have a very urgent chat,” I said.
“Should we be worried?” Zak asked.
“Not if we do things right,” I said. “Which is why I was gonna call you.”
“And here I was about to talk about, well, that night… I guess that can wait though.”
“Actually it has exactly to do with what happened that night,” I said before undoing the knot on my robe. “Try not to panic, okay? Neither of us could’ve seen this coming…”
“Seen wha-” I cut him off by opening my robe exposing my belly. “THE FUCK?!”
“I told you not to panic,” I said. “Fear is the last thing either of us should feel right now.”
“I-I mean is it mine? The fuck am I thinking of course it is,” Zak buried his head in his hands.
“It’s only partially yours,” I explained. “The human part is very much you. It also has bit of me, and a part of the demon that put it in here.” Zak’s head shot up.
“Demon?” I nodded.
“For eons his kind had gone by one name,” I held my stomach and tears erupted from my eyes. “Antichrist.”
“I think I’m gonna throw up,” Zak muttered. “Does this mean...did… did we just end the fucking world?”
“No,” I whispered. “Well, I mean we basically puts it fate in our hands. If we do things right he will grow to be the most powerful being on this planet but he won’t be evil. If we fuck up though…”
“It will be the ultimate fuck up,” Zak finished. “And there’s nothing we can do right now, you know like an abortion or..?”
“He’s growing too fast and even if we did they would only try again with someone else,” I said. “I’m not the only Nephilim in the world remember?”
The shock wouldn’t leave Zak’s face. I walked over to the couch where he was and sat down beside him. “I’m sorry… I’m sorry you’re involved in this…” He turned to me but didn’t say anything, hell he wouldn’t even look at me in the face, his eyes froze over the bump. Still staring he slowly reached out and placed his hand on my stomach. There was another nudge in response.
Zak gasped. “It really is growing fast. I take it we don’t have the normal nine months to prepare.”
“Nope,” I muttered.
His hand then fell from my stomach down to my hand. He took my hand in his and held it tight. “I’m with you every step of the way.” He said sounding like he was making a promise to himself, to me, and to his child. “I love you, Y/N. More than I’ve ever loved anyone before… and evil or not I will love this baby for the rest of my life.”
“I love you too,” I whispered before Zak leaned in and enveloped my lips with his. Somehow this kiss felt different than the ones we shared that night. It was more warm, loving, and well… human.
After a while we pulled back and Zak just held me against him. “There’s something we have to do before anything else, though.”
“What?”
I looked up at him, smiling weakly. “How do you feel about getting married?”

Poveglia Island Lockdown
Tumblr media Tumblr media
@that-choir-girl
Note: You try to comfort Zak after he gets possessed
~~~
For a brief but frightening moment, the Zak you knew and loved was not there, he was momentarily replaced by something else and it was horrid to have witnessed demons possess him.
Being Zak’s girlfriend, you have wanted to experience at least one lockdown, but Zak was against it and immediately said no. However, your birthday was coming up just a few days before they are set to leave for the next investigation. You already knew from Aaron that they were going to Poveglia Island in Italy.
After doing some research in secret, the Island really sparked your interest and you really wanted to go. Even knowing now that Zak would say no, you decided to wait until the right moment to ask him about taking you with the Ghost Adventures Crew. Your window of opportunity had opened on the day before your birthday, when Zak asks you what you would like for your birthday. You didn’t waste a moment and flat out told him and given the fact that the trip wasn’t until a couple days later, you thought it was perfect timing.
“Hey, sweetie?” Zak says.
“Yes?”
“What would you like for your birthday?”
Your lips form the widest grin that Zak has ever seen and it gives him a hunch that he already knows what you were going to say.
“I want to go with you on your next lockdown.”
“I knew you were going to say that. (Y/n), I don’t think that’s a good idea. I don’t want any kind of evil to follow you or to use you against me during a lockdown. It’s going to be dangerous. It’s too dangerous, this next place we’re going to.”
“I know of the possible consequences if I get involved in something like this, and Zak, I promise I’ll be just fine. I promise nothing will happen to me there.”
Zak gives you a suspicious look.
“How in the world would you know that for sure? I haven’t even told you where the next lockdown is located.”
“Oh, I do. You’re going to Poveglia Island in Italy. Aaron told me.”
After an intense conversation, Zak eventually caves in and said you could come along, but there will be rules he expects for you to follow, which you agreed to.
The golden rule was to not wander by yourself, stay close by his side or with either Aaron or Nick. Now here you are, chilling at nerve center, preparing to join the crew in the lockdown. The moment you decided you were set to go, Nick suddenly appears with a look on his face that made you feel uneasy. It takes him a moment to gather some words, but when he mentions Zak, you feel your heart drop.
“(Y/n), something is wrong with Zak. He’s not himself, he’s suddenly enraged and is cussing everyone out. He just got right up to Aaron’s face and screamed at him, could you please come help him to calm down?”
“Yes, of course.” you agree.
You’d do anything for Zak. There have been times you witnessed him so angry and you’re the only that could erase the anger and comfort him, bringing him back down to earth.
As you get closer to where Zak is, you start hearing all the commotion that Nick just described to you. After stepping inside, you see Zak is still up in Aaron’s face being aggressive a little to the extreme. Aaron was just as much your friend as he was Zak’s and you felt that you needed to step in before things escalate further than needs be. You see Zak continuing to scream at Aaron.
“Me?”
“Yeah! I said you!”
That’s when you go to confront Zak, putting Aaron protectively behind you. Looking at Zak with direct eye contact, he stares back you, almost like he didn’t know or recognized you.
His sudden anger is shifted towards you.
“Get the f*** out of here!” he shouts.
You don’t budge.
“Don’t make me say that again! Get out!”
Still, you don’t move.
Rather, you gently took hold of his arm and started talking to him.
“Zak, it’s me, (Y/n).” you say.
Zak’s response is silence as he looks as if he was studying you, trying to remember you. Zak is instantly a bit calmer once he felt your physical touch.
You then wanted to take him outside for a breather.
“Zak, come on. Let’s get you outside.”
Zak still remains silent as he allows you to lead the way under the evening sky. Since nerve center was set up outside, that’s where you take him and once you got there, you didn’t expect for him to breakdown.
“They wanted us to die here! I had never felt anything quite like this on previous investigations, nothing this intense at least. (Y/n), when I stepped inside, I felt this overwhelming desire to bring harm on Aaron and Nick. I wanted to murder them! I have to get out of here, this is island is truly cursed.”
As you’re cuddled up to his side, you only listen as you run your fingers gently up and down his back as an attempt to comfort him.
“I didn’t have that desire for you. I just wanted you out because I felt that you were in my way of what I wanted to do.”
You hug him closer.
“Zak, I know that was really scary for you and I admit it was scary for me as well, to see you like that. But you’re safe now, now that you’re with me. You’re always safe with me. I won’t let anything happen to you. Nothing stands in my way to keep protecting you. I love you so much.”
Upon hearing that, Zak started to feel more comforted, having you there made him feel safe.
“I love you even more, (Y/n).”
It was now Zak’s turn to hold you close to him, it was his turn to never let anything happen to you, it was his turn to never let you go.
He remained there with you, holding you close to him.
Saint Anne’s Retreat — Zak x Reader
Requested: yes
Thank you @ghost-adventures-imagines for the request! I hope you like it!
This was, by far, the most brutal place that y/n and the ghost adventures crew have ever visited. You could feel the negative energy coming from the building alone, even after the psychic medium, Karen, had left, making the building almost too unbearable to enter.
As usual, Zak loved to provoke spirits, so that they could come through the other side. It usually made y/n nervous, especially since every great once and a while, she, Nick, and Aaron would realize that Zak would become possessed by a dark, evil entity.
This investigation, however, was no different. Luckily, Zak had instructed Nick and y/n to investigate one of the cabins and see if they could make contact with the spirit box. Y/n bit her lower lip nervously as the static white noise grated against her eardrums.
“Out of all of us, who is in the most danger on this property?” Nick asked. Y/n shot him a glare as her heart thumped nervously against her chest.
Silence. Y/n didn’t expect to hear anything that came out of the spirit box. Then —
“Gonna kill . . . . Zak.”
Y/n’s head snapped up to look at Nick, whose face had gone white. He immediately turned off the spirit box. In an instant, y/n made her way towards the door, ignoring Nick as he called after her.
“Y/n, Zak said that we had to stay here until someone comes and gets us!”
“To hell with that,” y/n answered breathlessly, her eyes wild with fright. “The thing said it wanted to kill Zak. I’m not gonna let that happen.”
“He gets threats like this all the time, y/n, and nothing really happens. You’re just overreacting! Zak’s fine, I promise!”
Y/n only rolled her eyes and took off for the main building that Zak last told her he would be at. When they found him, he was pacing around with Aaron watching nervously, his eyes narrowed. Y/n could see that something was wrong, as she noticed an unexpected rage cross Zak’s features. She turned to face Nick, who was hot at her heels.
“You sure that he’s ‘fine’?” She seethed. Nick went quiet. Y/n nodded. “That’s what I thought.”
“SHUT UP!” Zak roared unexpectedly, causing the three of them to go quiet at once. Y/n watched as Zak’s body trembled with unbridled fury.
“Zak, we just wanna help you,” y/n insisted, her voice quiet.
“I DON’T NEED HELP, Y/N!” He roared, causing y/n to stumble back slightly in shock.
“Zak, this is not like you!”
“I’M FINE!”
“Clearly, he’s not,” Aaron put in, but he wasn’t helping.
“SHUT UP, AARON!”
Tears began to blur y/n’s eyes. The last time she had seen Zak behave like this was at Poveglia Island in their third season of ghost adventures. He’d been nearly fine — until now.
“Dude, you’re scaring y/n!” Aaron defended, looking offended.
“DOES IT LOOK LIKE I CARE?!”
“She’s your girlfriend, Zak. This Zak would not be acting like this.”
Tears began to flow freely down y/n’s cheeks. Aaron took notice of this at once and he shielded her from Zak’s view. It was still hard to believe that the kind Zak y/n loved and knew would behave like this. All she knew was that this was not her beloved Zak. Aaron sighed, and shook his head.
“C’mon, y/n/n. I’m taking you back to nerve center.”
Y/n reluctantly allowed Aaron to lead her back to nerve center, which was located in another building on the property they were investigating. When they got to nerve center, y/n began to pace the floor, biting on her lower lip before facing a concerned Aaron.
“That was not Zak.” She wrung her hands together nervously. “We all know Zak at this point. He wouldn’t get upset like that on purpose.”
“We know, y/n/n,” Aaron reassured her. “Zak is a sensitive guy. We know he will come back and apologize before the night ends. You’ll see.”
And he was right. When Zak came back to nerve center with Nick, who guided him roughly by the upper arm. Y/n could see, at once, that Zak was beginning to return back to his normal self. The anger in his eyes had deflated, and he now looked tired and drained. And he also looked . . . . guilty. His eyes landed on y/n’s and his face paled when he saw her tear-stained cheeks.
“Oh, y/n/n,” he sighed, looking devastated. “I’m so sorry! Something got a hold of me in there! I didn’t want to hurt you, physically or verbally. I swear, I didn’t. I —”
He was cut off when y/n walked over and wrapped her arms around her best friend’s neck. He responded, nuzzling his head into the crook of her neck, sending pleasant shivers down y/n’s spine.
This was the kind of Zak y/n had missed before something had gotten a hold of him in that room — kind, slightly intimidating, but yet still a teddy bear. She smiled softly to herself, running her fingers through his hair. The motion made Zak go weak in the knees.
“I know, Zak,” she murmured softly. “I know that wasn’t you. It scared me when you started randomly shouting in our faces. But I’ve got the Zak I know and trust, now. And believe me, I don’t feel scared any more, now that the thing is out of you.”
Zak smiled slightly, knowing that he had his girl back.
