Sound on! I am happy to be with mama, and all covered up in my spot. Mama had to stress sleep a bit...for 13 hours. Yesterday was a bit overwhelming for her at one of her doctors’ appointments. After approximately 16 years of trying to find doctor that understand her particular spinal condition, there is now reason to be hopeful. Of course in true mama form, she still has a bit of an odd and complicated presentation of her condition. 🙄. We should have an answer on October 6th. What's the Difference Between Snoring and Sleep Apnea? Snoring Snoring is believed to have resulted when the muscles that hold the throat open to relax and narrow the airways, causing snorting noises, thought to be caused by air passing over the vocal cords, mouth, and throat. It is believed that individuals who are suffering from asthma, colds or who are overweight are affected more. In females, snoring is more likely to arise after the menopause. Sleep apnea Sufferers of sleep apnoea are believed to stop breathing on plenty of occasions during the night. It is believed to be a very dangerous problem which arises when the airway behind the tongue collapses. The person is then believed to stop breathing, but the body is usually able to track this and wake the individual up prior to suffocating. These incidents usually go unnoticed and the individual might usually take a few deep breaths prior going back to sleep.
