🌟 Cross-State Adoption Journey: Izzy & Cali 🌟

Hello, animal sanctuary friends and adoption advocates! 🐾 We’re so excited to share the story of two incredible dogs, Izzy and Cali, whom we’re helping through a cross-state adoption assistance program. Although we haven’t met them in person, we’ve been learning all about their personalities and can’t wait to help them find their way to loving homes.

Meet Izzy – Izzy is described as a bundle of energy and curiosity! Her rescuers say she’s quick to explore and always has a happy, playful demeanor that lights up the room. We can’t wait to see how her bright spirit will bring joy to her future family.

And here’s Cali – Cali is the calm, steady companion we all dream of. Her caretakers say she has an intuitive, gentle nature and loves nothing more than a good snuggle. She’s the kind of dog who’ll bring warmth and comfort wherever she goes.

Helping Izzy and Cali across state lines has been a beautiful experience, connecting us with new rescue partners and widening the network of families who want to welcome these amazing dogs. We’re so excited to continue following their journey and are grateful for everyone involved in making their transition possible. 💕

▪︎Sehat tanpa Obat▪︎ (hhmm... yakin?) tulisan di bawah ini imho lagi, opini pribadi. Silakan berbeda pendapat. Padahal di KBBI obat itu kurang lebih artinya bahan untuk mengurangi, menghilangkan penyakit, atau menyembuhkan seseorang dari penyakit, termasuk di dalamnya obat kampung, obat cacing, obat kimia, obat tidur, obat nyamuk, obat sinshe, obat dahaga, obat angin, dll. Kenapa ngga mau banget sih belajar menerima kalau kita ngga selamanya sehat dan fit. Jagat Besar saja ngga selalu baik-baik saat menyelaraskan ketidakseimbangan, apalagi kita, si jagat kecil. Kenapa ngga biasa aja menerima bahwa sesekali kita perlu obat. Bahkan fisik sehat-sehat pun, belum tentu mentalnya sehat. "Ah, saya kan sudah qi gong, yoga, olah napas, ngga perlu obat." (Tapi dia masih merokok, minum jamu, pakai minyak angin, pakai ramuan dan teh herbal. Lha! 😂🥲) Jadi, bukankah itu semua juga 'obat-obatan' versi kita... 😁 bahkan saya masih dianjurkan sesekali minum wine oleh beberapa orang yang bisa saya percaya pengetahuan holistiknya, dengan porsi moderate, bukan untuk mabuk-mabukan. Oh ya, saya pernah melihat iklan sebuah produk dengan tagline begini : "ngga pake produk ***** berarti konslet. Pada awalnya kaget, tapi setelah berkali-kali baca, ya udah, maklum, namanya juga orang jualan (obat). 🥲🙏🤟 Pelajaran buat saya adalah ngga setiap orang cocok dengan obat yang sama. Jadi ngga usah menganggap pilihan kita (obat dan apapun) itu lebih baik dan paling benar. Mau obat dokter, obat sinshe, obat dukun, obat kota, obat kampung, silakan aja asal sesuai dengan tubuh dan kantong kita. Sama dengan memilih keyakinan, tempat belajar, tempat healing, tempat ngopi dll. Selama ngga membahayakan keselamatan siapapun, lanjuuuttt. Saya mau cari obat haus dulu, ya. Canggu panas banget nih! Oh ya, ini dua obat hati saya; si adik sedang mengobati kakaknya versi dia. The Incredible Story of How I Accidentally Reunited a Long-Lost Dog Family

I always knew adopting rescues came with surprises… but I never expected this.

When I moved from Pennsylvania to North Carolina, I had one dog—Pepe, my Pomsky. Over the past year, I adopted five more dogs—all from different places, different shelters, and different situations. I thought I was just giving them a second chance at life.

Then, out of curiosity, I did DNA tests. And my mind was blown.

The Big Reveal: My Dogs Are All Related!

Turns out, five of my six dogs are all family. Some are siblings, some are cousins, and some are even part of a multi-generational connection I never saw coming.

🐶 Pepe – Pomsky (4 years old, my original dog, related to Penny & Roxxy) 🐶 Lucky – Pit Bull (6 years old, rescue) 🐶 Penny – Pomchipoo (4 years old, rescue, related to Pepe & Roxxy) 🐶 Roxxy – Pomchi (10 years old, rescue, related to Penny & Pepe, and has trace DNA from the Pit Bulls & Great Dane) 🐶 Romeo – Pit Bull (2 years old, rescue) 🐶 Jolene – Great Dane (11 months old, backyard breeder)

Crazy DNA Findings:

Pepe (Pomsky, my original dog) is related to Penny (Pomchipoo) and Roxxy (Pomchi).

Penny (Pomchipoo) is related to Jolene (Great Dane). A tiny dog and a massive Dane… HOW?! 🤯

Roxxy (Pomchi, 10 years old) is related to Penny and Pepe but also has small amounts of DNA from the Pit Bulls and the Great Dane.

Lucky (Pit Bull, 6) is actually Romeo’s GRANDPA. I unknowingly brought together a grandfather and grandson.

At first, I just thought I was rescuing them, but when I realized I had accidentally reunited a lost dog family, I knew I couldn’t separate them. This rescue became a sanctuary. 🏡🐶💖

A Year of Love: Rescuing Penny, Lucky, and Romeo

This past year at Infinite Hearts Dog Sanctuary has been a whirlwind of love, challenges, and profound transformations. Among the many moments that stand out are the stories of three incredible rescues: Penny, Lucky, and Romeo. Each of these dogs arrived with a unique history, and each has taught us invaluable lessons about resilience, trust, and the power of unconditional love.

Penny: The Tiny Fighter with a Big Heart

Penny was one of the first dogs we rescued this year. A petite Chihuahua with a scrappy spirit, she came to us from a hoarding situation. Her early life had been filled with neglect, and when she arrived, she was understandably cautious and unsure of her new surroundings.

It didn’t take long, however, for Penny’s feisty and affectionate personality to shine through. She quickly learned that she was safe and loved, and her confidence began to grow. Today, Penny is the queen of the sanctuary. Despite her size, she carries herself with a sense of purpose and spunk that keeps us smiling. Penny has taught us that even the smallest dogs can have the biggest impact on our hearts.

Lucky: The Gentle Soul Who Found His Way Back

Lucky’s story is one of healing and fate. He was found as a stray, wandering alone and battling the debilitating effects of heartworm disease. From the moment we met him, it was clear that he was a gentle soul, eager for connection but weary from his struggles.

With dedicated care, Lucky began to recover physically and emotionally. We worked tirelessly to restore his health and trust, and in return, he filled our days with love and gratitude. As fate would have it, we later discovered that Lucky had a family who had been searching for him. Reuniting him with his original family was an emotional moment—bittersweet yet beautiful.

But the story didn’t end there. Life’s twists and turns brought Lucky back to us, and he became a permanent part of our sanctuary. Renamed Loyal, he lives up to his name every day with his unwavering love and devotion.

Romeo: The Medium-Sized Sweetheart

Romeo was the newest addition to our family this year—a medium-sized Pitbull with a heart as big as his name suggests. When Romeo first arrived, he was shy and uncertain, cautious of his new environment and the people around him.

Through patience, care, and plenty of belly rubs, Romeo’s true personality began to shine. He’s a playful, affectionate, and loving boy who adores being around people and other animals. His favorite pastimes include lounging in the sun and curling up for cuddles, proving that sometimes the simplest pleasures are the most rewarding.

Watching Romeo grow more confident and relaxed has been one of the most heartwarming experiences of the year. His transformation is a testament to the healing power of love and the incredible resilience of rescue dogs.

A Year of Transformation and Love

Rescuing Penny, Lucky, and Romeo has been more than just a series of events—it’s been a journey of growth and discovery. These three dogs have reminded us why we dedicate our lives to this work. They’ve shown us that every dog, no matter their size or background, deserves a chance to be loved and cared for.

Penny taught us about courage in the face of adversity, Lucky reminded us of the power of destiny and connection, and Romeo showed us the joy of transformation. Together, they’ve left indelible paw prints on our hearts and inspired us to keep pushing forward, even on the toughest days.

As we look back on this incredible year, we’re filled with gratitude for the chance to make a difference in the lives of these amazing animals. And as we move into a new year, we’re excited for the opportunity to rescue, heal, and love even more.
