I personally think it would be very amusing if Tesla gets revived alongside Knives in Stargaze and spends her entire time being rude to him and nitpicking his actions based off of some petty grievances. Like imagine he's trying to do one of his little murder speeches and she steps out of the shadows where she was standing (menacingly) going "Hey remember that time you got a whole cake for your Birthday? I never got a birthday cake. And you guys got a whole one to yourselves" or just going "Oh that's a cool thought, did you best friend Child Killer Conrad give it to you?"
Just real hater energy from her

I feel like Logan is oftentimes written as a character who wants a large amount of distance and space in a relationship but I think that wouldn't really be the case. Obviously he can't be around anyone every waking hour of the day and he's his own person, but I'm convinced he'd be clingy once he got into a relationship. He knows to function on his own, he knows he can go through the motions but he just... doesn't want to.
One of the main arguments I see for him wanting a lot of space is that he has an eternity to live so he doesn't feel constrained on time when it comes to Wade, who's also immortal like him. And yes, that's true, but I raise you this: he's already had 200 years without him. He's had time to do all the things he wanted to (and didn't want to) do alone—he's traveled to different countries, explored his own origins and backstory, learned about different people and places. And sometimes he enjoyed it, even if most of the time he was desperate and angry and isolated from the world.
He already spent enough time being alone that he knows how it feels. He got it out of his system. He was forced to be alone for so long that he almost forgot what it was like to have a companion, let alone someone like Wade. Someone he genuinely connected to for the first time, who understood him and wanted him.
Logan knows what it's like to be alone. He lived through it almost every day of his hellish life in one way or another. He's tired of it, now. He had 200 fucking years to stew in his own company, 3 times longer than most humans even lived.
But this? The feeling of curling next to someone and feeling their warmth? Burrowing so close you can hear their heartbeat? Waking up next to Wade and seeing his bleary-eyed smile? Fighting next to him, trusting someone to watch his back? Waking up from a nightmare and being held and comforted by someone who understands him?
It's so much better than anything he could've imagined. Why would he ever go back to how things were before, when he knows what it feels like to be next to Wade and be loved just for existing? (How could he go back to being alone after finally tasting happiness?)
He'd want to savor it. To lean into the relationship hard and memorize all of Wade's little habits and routine and quirks. He'd be clingy, letting himself demand affection and attention because he knows he can get it. And he's been starved of it for so long.
He knows he could leave, if he wanted to. That he could go out on his own for a while, back out into the cold. But why would he voluntarily do that when he has a perfectly nice fireplace to keep himself warm? If he really wanted to go out to marvel at the snow, now he could bring someone with him and share that joy together. What could be better?

What would happen if MC was a sea diver? Maybe she was exploring a ship reck and the siren boys bumped into them? How would they react?
Sans: He's much more calm, when she's a diver. There's something about her already being in his territory... rather than meeting her on land and wanting to drag her into the water, he meets her in the water, and needs to not give her any reasons to stop coming to the water. No need to be scary. Just take it slow.
They had a very tender moment at their first meeting. After first sighting one another, they spent a long few minutes just watching each other. In the same way that you wouldn't expect to see an actual orca while scuba diving in relatively shallow water, Mc wasn't expecting to see an orca siren. There was also an undeniable magic to the moment, staying still as possible and holding eye contact with a highly intelligent creature from an entirely different world to your own. When he did draw in, it was slow, mutual studying - she looked at every line and scar, he pretended to care about her equipment so she wouldn't be weirded out by him constantly staring deeply into her pretty eyes. The only physical contact they shared was a single brush of her hand against his (the only part of her not covered by wetsuit) before he left, cautious not to overstay his welcome and intimidate her.
He follows her around but rarely initiates contact. He enjoys 'playing'; showing her interesting things, retrieving lost items, introducing her to new and exciting wildlife and dive spots. He's going to get her to trust him. He just has to be patient.
Red: Y'know those videos of sharks coming right up to a diver for scritches? That's him. Unlike Sans' cautious and slow approach, Red was very Red, and upon spotting her just bulldozed right over to her. She tried to be a responsible diver and not interact at all with wildlife, staying on the seafloor and slowly backing away from him, but Red wasn't gonna let that happen - and what's she going to do, swim away? Cute. She can't outswim him. On their first meeting he squeezed any part of her he could reach before she could pull out of range again (arms, legs, hips,) tapped on her scuba mask, blew bubbles at her, and bit a chunk out of one of her dive buddy's flippers as a warning. He's brazenly flirting.
He 'behaves' when she gives him attention. At first she was genuinely intimidated, but now she treats him like an overenthusiastic large dog. Funnily enough he does genuinely like scritches, especially on the parts of him he can't easily get to, like on his tail and behind his main fin.
He and Sans usually manage to alternate what days they show up to see her, but when they do see each other they frequently get into scraps. Especially if one of them thinks the other is too close. Sans doesn't like Red's forwardness with her, and Red doesn't like a crazed lonely orca being anywhere near his fragile human, but both are unwilling to kill and reveal their bloodthirsty natures. They force themselves to get along... especially when sight of the two giants fighting immediately makes her evacuate the water.
Skull: He was probably living in a wreck she dove in. It's nice and dark, but spacious, and full of interesting trinkets he can collect. On their first encounter, Skull spent most of his time silently stalking Mc in the dark water. She didn't notice him until the very last second; you can imagine the shock and terror at shining a light into a shadowy corner and illuminating a massive grinning face.
She doesn't entirely know what he would've done to her, in the confinement of that wreck, if she hadn't shone the light into his face and startled him long enough to get the fuck out of there. But from that point on, no matter where she dives, if neither Red nor Sans show up Skull will always be there. He makes his aquarium counterpart proud by stealing her things. She doesn't understand why - he gives the items back eventually, so does he even really want them? Is he a kleptomaniac? Is this just a way to get her attention? Who knows. At least he doesn't eat her. He absolutely could; despite regularly diving in groups, nobody ever sees him coming until her kit is already missing.

Yandere alphabet for Zhongli from genshin impact.
Sure! He gets an Alphabet as he doesn't actually have a concept written or in the drafts-
Yandere Alphabet - Zhongli
Pairing: Romantic
Possible Trigger Warnings: Gender-Neutral Darling, Obsession, Manipulation, Possessive behavior, Isolation, Delusional behavior, Mentioned forced marriage, Kidnapping implied, Dark themes, Forced relationship.
Tumblr media
Affection: How do they show their love and affection? How intense would it get?
I imagine Zhongli isn't very used to affection at first. He's an Archon who has spent most of his lifetime in war and being a God. As a result... affection isn't something he really needed. Not in the romantic sense, at least.
He'd probably attempt affection he's seen humans do throughout the ages. He's quiet with affection, almost gentle. He's polite with his affection, never wishing to force it if he doesn't have to.
He's not intense, probably one for soft caresses and gentle praises. Due to him showing dragon-like characteristics, I can see him being possessive, too.
His affection is definitely meant to show comfort due to the way he softly touches you and kisses your skin... watching to see how receptive you are. He, once an Archon, is incredibly patient with you.
Blood: How messy are they willing to get when it comes to their darling?
Zhongli, for the most part, has matured past violence. He would much rather make deals and propose contracts than outright kill others. For the most part, threats will do with keeping his beloved as his.
But if he must, then he may give into old habits if it means your protection... or his own selfish desires.
Cruelty: How would they treat their darling once abducted? Would they mock them?
Quite well, actually. He may be terrible with Mora, as ironic as that is, but he wants you to live comfortably and happy beside him. His abduction is merely more manipulation... perhaps guilting you into a contract of some kind?
Zhongli would not mock you, he has no reason to. Mocking you will not garner your affection. Instead he treats you like a gentleman, keeping you in a domain similar to the teapot. Your own personal little world.
He feels as your partner, and by his nature as an ex-Archon, he should protect you and keep you happy.
You'll be treated like precious porcelain.
Darling: Aside from abduction, would they do anything against their darling’s will?
He's against it. He prefers his darling coming to love him naturally. After all, isn't that how most humans do it?
He'll be patient and listen to your concerns as long as they're... reasonable in his mind.
Exposed: How much of their heart do they bare to their darling? How vulnerable are they when it comes to their darling?
Zhongli may be coy at times, but he tries his best to be honest with you. He hates lying to you and while he is usually stoic, he shows he cares in any way he can.
The issue is... you aren't very vulnerable with him, even when he wants you to be.
Fight: How would they feel if their darling fought back?
Zhongli, as I said before, is patient with you. If you fought with him... it's unfortunately expected. He understands by normal courting standards he's... rushing it.
He'll accept it if you fight him, hoping with time you'll acknowledge him as yours eventually.
Game: Is this a game to them? How much would they enjoy watching their darling try to escape?
Not a game. He wouldn't really enjoy you trying to run from him, either. Finds it... frustrating, actually.
Hell: What would be their darling’s worst experience with them?
I'd say him trapping you in a domain to keep you with him. It would be similar to the Teapot realm, a little home where only he and you can reside. Only he can let you out.
Which means you'll be stuck with him unless he provides you with means to escape.
He isn't violent with you, in fact he doesn't even want to hurt you. So the worst experience with him is realizing you can't escape.
Another alternative is him sneakily forcing you into a contract, wording it a certain way so you agree to stay with him. Could also just be a marriage contract, actually....
Ideals: What kind of future do they have in mind for/with their darling?
As stated above, Zhongli may want to experience mortal marriage vows with you. Those are another form of deal or contract, right? That's a way to make you his.
Jealousy: Do they get jealous? Do they lash out or find a way to cope?
If Zhongli gets jealous, he knows how to hide it. He's stoic, even when irritated with those around you. He can silently cope, often thinking of ways to prevent his jealousy.
Such as keeping you out of sight... only for him to see.
Kisses: How do they act around or with their darling?
Manipulative, Possessive, Protective, Subtle, Clingy, Charming, Observing.
Love letters: How would they go about courting or approaching their darling?
Through charming words and subtle manipulation. He wants you to trust him. He offers you gifts (he no doubt asked someone else to buy them) and often acts like a gentleman. For the most part, he just seems normal... if not flirty.
You may even date him.
It's only when he expresses a need to keep you to himself or suggests a craving for your companionship that he gets worse. Soon enough he's trying to make subtle contracts with you or keep others away from you. By the time you realize what he's doing...
He's put you in a domain to call your own (reluctantly).
Mask: Are their true colors drastically different from the way they act around everyone else?
His obsession makes his personality darker, yet he's still quite stoic and often avoids others asking about you or where you went.
Naughty: How would they punish their darling?
Isolation. He's patient and did want you to love him on your own. Isolating... something that could break you... would be one way to do that, yes?
Oppression: How many rights would they take away from their darling?
Mostly your right for freedom. But within your shared domain... you can do anything you want as long as it doesn't involve others.
Patience: How patient are they with their darling?
EXTREMELY.
Quit: If their darling dies, leaves, or successfully escapes, would they ever be able to move on?
He's been around a long time... eventually, sure. But he'd rather not lose you. Not now... not ever.
Regret: Would they ever feel guilty about abducting their darling? Would they ever let their darling go?
Yes, he'd hate that he may be unable to court you properly. He may let you go... But he's selfish enough to ignore such thoughts.
Other humans aren't good enough for you in his eyes.
Stigma: What brought about this side of them (childhood, curiosity, etc)?
Curiosity is a good reason for it. He's curious about experiencing human relationship customs.
Tears: How do they feel about seeing their darling scream, cry, and/or isolate themselves?
Zhongli would want to comfort you. He hates that you don't like being around him. But... He tells himself to be patient.
Abducting you was already a step too far anyways....
Unique: Would they do anything different from the classic yandere?
He's willing to wait for you as long as it takes. Even if you die before that.
Vice: What weakness can their darling exploit in order to escape?
Not many I can think of except maybe reciprocation-
Wit’s end: Would they ever hurt their darling?
Never.
Xoanon: How much would they revere or worship their darling? To what length would they go to win their darling over?
Ironically for an Archon, it's fun to think of Zhongli worshipping his beloved. It seems like it would be rare... but he hasn't experienced this with anyone else. As a result... He may hold you in high regard. He'd do nearly anything for you.
Yearn: How long do they pine after their darling before they snap?
A long time.
Zenith: Would they ever break their darling?
Not intentionally. But he could.

Astarion has been breaking my poor heart.
This post will contain spoilers for the game and Astarion's romance/backstory. Before anyone comes at me, I want to say that you are the main character, you are supposed to change the fates and behaviours of your characters, especially if you are romancing them. It's a video game, that's kind of the point.
This post is extremely long and I apologise.
This analysis is based off my playthrough.
(*) means check notes at the bottom of the post.
I wasn't expecting to like him as much as I do. Don't get me wrong, I really liked him during EA and I thought he was funny, charming, flirty with a dark past and all that was just a means to cover his trauma but since the full game has come out and we've gotten to know more of him, it truly breaks my heart to see and know what he has been through. My sister and I were watching his reactions to be being rejected, being told that Tav only wants sex and forcing him to do things he doesn't want to do, it is truly heart-wrenching.
Many people expected Astarion to be this "I am so sexual and my romance will mostly be sex, also I will betray you the first chance I get." and it couldn't be further from the truth. Astarion is extremely loyal, and yes he has that air of flambouncy to him, will often make japes and say evil things but most of the time, it is just a facade. It's his shield in a way, he has been treated with utter cruelty for two hundred years of his life and now that he finally has some control over himself, he doesn't wish to be hurt again.
I don't think Astarion is ever completely evil, even in the beginning. He just wants to have fun and enjoy life after so many years of slavery. He likes it when you are snarky, say mean shit to people for fun but, he doesn't like to see innocents get hurt, and he doesn't support fighting for people who don't fight for themselves. Yes, he will support some of your evil decisions but they will lead to a bad ending, for you and your characters. It'll make Astarion wallow more in his greed and he'll lose the little humanity he has left. He doesn't really have a clear sense of direction in the beginning of the game as he's just found freedom and obviously wants to live life to the fullest, being evil comes naturally to him, it's instinct as its what he's been doing for two centuries.
This is my assumption since we don't know his actual age but since he's an elf who was well-respected in society, had a pretty prestigious job and was rich enough to be corrupt. I'd assume he was at least 70-100 years old before he was turned into a spawn. (EDIT - in a recent post by @deluxetrashqueen I saw the translation of the dates of birth and death on his tombstone:
"Astarion Ancunin
229-268 DR" to which he adds, "458DR - "
which shows that he was only 39 at the time of his death, which explains his emotional immaturity for an elf.) My point being, I believe he has been a spawn for longer than he's ever been a regular person. He has spent the longer part of his life doing evil things for an evil man, that was what his life was on a daily basis with Cazador. And his former work experience probably helped, he likely learnt pretty quick how much he took for granted as a living person and the harshness of his master, peers and people he seduced made him harsh and unforgiving in return.
Once you start getting close to him, you start to learn that he is only mean to people because of how life has treated him. In his romance, he says "no one ever looked out for me, no one ever said a kind word to me. You're the only one, no one is like that." Astarion starts to see, because of you that there is kindness in the world, and he finds kindness in you. Especially after his quest, as much as he'd hate to admit it, he also sees friends in your other companions as they do in him. By the end of Act 2, he starts to get more soft towards you and the decisions you make, often even disapproving of evil decisions. People often tend to forget that a lot of Astarion's evil personality is a front, it is not who he truly is.
These points will be better explained individually so I will talk about some themes.
Power: power plays a big part in his entire storyline. In the beginning, he wants to harness the powers of the tadpole to become powerful and at first, you think that it's simply because he's an evil character and he wants power for the sake of having it. Then later, he wishes to take over the power of the ascendant but mostly only to spite Cazador and take something important from him, not fully realising the true power of the rite.
As he slowly starts opening up to you, he tells you "the mind flayers tore me from that place" and you realise that its the tadpole that let's him walk in the sun, do things a vampire or spawn would never be able to, you learn that he hates being a vampire because he can't even remember what he looks like. He seeks power outside because he has had no power over himself for about two centuries, he thinks that having this power will fulfill his needs but it won't, we know it won't because in truth he only needs to reclaim his autonomy, physical and mental. Of course Astarion would never truly admit to this for a long while, even when he's romanced. I personally really love his good romance arc where he doesn't have sex with you, not because he dislikes you or doesn't want you but because, as he says "any kind of intimacy was something I performed to lure people back for him. While I know things between us are different... being with someone still feels tainted. It brings up all those feelings of disgust and loathing." He has spent 200 years or so bowing to Cazador's whims, done things to people he didn't want to do and I assume since it's heavily hinted at, were very sexual in nature. In a relationship, he simply wants to be seen as a person and I think that's really sad because that's how low the bar is for him.
In the ending of his quest, you can persuade him and tell him that going forth with the ritual won't set him free even if he thinks it will and I agree. If he's a slave to Cazador now, later he'd be a slave to power and greed. Just look at Cazador, despite being one of the most powerful beings in existence, he still wanted more power. That kind of greed and hunger never ends and Astarion would lose himself and who he has become while he was with us. Yes, it makes him walk in the sun again and do things a regular vampire can't but at what cost? 7,000 lives and his humanity. He would never be able to enjoy this "freedom" because he'll only strive to seek more power. In his ascendant ending, he becomes everything he's ever hated about Cazador, the cycle repeats itself, from Vellioth to Cazador and from Cazador to Astarion. And it will never end. Astarion even refuses to turn you into a vampire and wishes to keep you only as a spawn. With an insight check, you can learn that he thinks you're degrading yourself and he doesn't care. He now sees you as something to own, something to possess, not love. All his good qualities, wants and needs get twisted. Astarion truly only needs to feel like a person again but he doesn't fully realise this until you show it to him, through good deeds and actions, through simple acts of kindness. As he says in his "good" ending "I've been dead in the ground enough. It's time to try living again. With all that life has to offer."
Safety: Astarion wants to feel safe. He is so scared of being found by Cazador, he knows he's looking for him and the only thing giving him some form of safety from Cazador is the tadpole so of course he wants to harness its powers that is until he finds out it'll turn him into another kind of monster, a mind flayer. He doesn't wish to lose himself and his freedom again hence is vehemently against taking on the tadpole's powers but he doesn't stop you because that is of course, your decision to make. He says "if such power would please you, darling, I won't stop you. But do be careful, I want you to remain you." Now the only thing left that can properly give him his freedom is Cazador's death and he wants to kill him himself which I think is perfectly acceptable, Cazador deserves to die and if it is by Astarion's hands, all the better. But, in his romance, he makes it clear that he's doing it for safety, and he tells himself that he wants to take the power of the rite for safety as well because in truth, he is terrified of being powerless again. He does want revenge yes, but he also wants to keep you and himself safe from Cazador, even in the dungeon, if you run an insight check, the narrator tells you that he is losing his mind because of the power that's on offer and the smell of blood in the air. It's almost as if to say "he's losing his mind, please stop him before he forgets who he is." Astarion NEEDS your guidance*, eventually he even thanks you for 'saving him from himself.' In his good ending, he sees that in taking the power, he would be no better than Cazador and would become everything he's ever hated about him, and inflict on others what his former master inflicted on him, starting with you. His ascendant ending is honestly a very sad ending for his character, all that growth, change and development you bring to him throughout your journey just gone down the drain as he becomes an unfeeling, evil, narcissistic arsehole who only craves for more power. In his good ending, he will be safe, with you and with the friends he has made along the way. He is proud of himself and so is everyone else, it offers him a kind of friendship that's afforded to very few in the D&D world, especially a vampire/spawn whose very existence is hated. It is a bond based on trust, loyalty and to a degree, even love instead of fear like in the ascendant ending.
Abandonment and Fear: Astarion is driven by fear but he also knows facing Cazador is inevitable and something he needs to face rather than avoid. Even if he isn't outright seeking it (but he does seek it) I think he is braver than he likes to think and he definitely has some anti-hero traits. He likes the tadpole because it helped him get away from Cazador's authority and he enjoys bending others to his will since it makes him feel more powerful compared to how he's felt the past two centuries. But if you choose to not do the same, he doesn't really care. He doesn't except it of you nor is he disappointed (since he neither approves or disapproves. He only disapproves helping people who didn't ask or didn't want to be helped) he only gives a snarky comment or two about what he would've done instead and follows you anyway. He realises you're a good person. If you indulge too much however, I would argue that he agrees simply because he doesn't want you to turn against him. Perhaps he believes that you can turn on him and kill him as easily as you killed the tieflings or other innocents. He probably thinks it's easier to turn a good person evil than an evil person, good (tbh he wouldn't be entirely wrong.) And making bad choices does negatively affect his character of course but I just thought I'd put that out there as I think it's very likely for him to do so. He is definitely extremely paranoid, he hardly ever says how he truly feels out loud but when you break up with him (it's so heartbreaking omg) he says "I was beginning to think someone truly wanted me. I shouldn't have deluded myself." and "From the start, I was rather counting the hours until it was going to end. Midnight chimes, eh?" As heartbreaking as it is, the latter line shows how terrified he was of being abandoned or only be used for his body, he kept obessesively worrying that Tav would leave him after he bore his heart out to them. There's another bit of dialogue in Act 1 where he is trying his lines with you to get you to sleep with him a second time and you can say no which he is fine with but if you outright reject him there, meaning "I never want to see you like that again" he gets extremely sad: "Well, excuse me while I die of a broken heart. [slight chuckle] In all honesty, it's a shame. That time was special to me. I've gotten on my back 10,000 times or more and forgotten half of them. But you, I'll remember. [long pause] Have a fine evening... dear." Mind you, this is after you've only slept with him once. His dialogue makes it seem like he was already catching feelings for you, and not realising that himself until this happens. Seeing this made me realise that you're the first person he's slept with of his own volition, even if it was to seduce you. For the longest time, I think Astarion doesn't even want to believe you'll like him as something more than someone to sleep with, he hopes you might as his rejection line says so but astarion is nothing if not careful and well, paranoid.
That's why he's so shocked when you choose to not let him bite Araj at Moonrise even if it gave you something powerful in return. He sees that you chose his comfort over a genuinely useful commodity. Biting people or using his vampire, well, anything makes him extremely uncomfortable since it reminds him of things he needed to do for Cazador. If he bites her, it makes him feel like being a slave again, but bending to your will and wishes instead of his former master's. He realises he doesn't know how to say no. Which is another thing he says if you wish to pursue only a sexual relationship with him. He feels played.
Freedom: this is probably the main theme to his character arc. He wants to be free, not only from his master but also free to make right decisions and make decisions for himself, something he hasn't been able to do for years. This is why respecting his decision to not sleep with you is important to him, he doesn't feel comfortable being physically close to someone in a sexual way as it makes him doubt the person's true intentions and feelings and of course, makes him feel loathsome and disgusted with himself. He needs that time where you just connect as people to really see that you are in fact genuine and he wouldn't be hurt if he trusted you or gave you his heart. Towards the end of the game, he is still quite ruthless, but mostly only towards people who do wrong and are criminals. Astarion has a very strong set of ideals, he believes that people who do wrong deserve to die no matter the crime. I don't think this is entirely true, every crime deserves a different punishment but most criminals, those who do severe wrong and still get away with it, do deserve to die but this is just my opinion of course. He is ruthless towards bad people because that's how people have been to him, at least Cazador and I wouldn't be surprised if he was treated badly during his sexual encounters with strangers while working for him.
Why I think the Ascendant ending is a tragic ending for Astarion's character and for you.
I won't lie, there are some aspects of ascended Astarion that are pretty hot and I'm a sucker for (pun absolutely intended) powerful, gothic vampires but this ending comes at the cost of way too much. One simply being: Astarion isn't Astarion anymore. All his snarkiness, playful nature and strange innocence is gone. In his ascendant ending, that is, when he takes the power of the Rite of Ascension for himself by carving the same rune on Cazador's back that's on his own, Astarion loses himself. In D&D lore, full vampires are unfeeling, ruthless and have all their good traits twisted into something more malignant and evil. If Astarion loved you, that love turns into possession, if he cared for you, it turns into obsession. He doesn't truly care anymore... as a vampire, he is manipulating you and telling you things you want to hear instead of what he's actually feeling. He never truly got that moment of catharsis by killing Cazador as he does in his spawn ending. That simple bliss of killing the man that enslaved him and worse all these years; he never gets to experience that because he ends up using Cazador for the same power Cazador killed Vellioth for in the past, albeit worse. It's a never-ending cycle. And if he turns you into his spawn, you will go through the same fate Astarion went through and probably turn on him the same way he turned on Cazador. He has absolutely no sympathy for you or for anyone that is not him, in fact he feels almost disgusted by you because he thinks you're degrading yourself in front of him. There is a conversation between him and if you refuse to become his spawn, and I think it sums up his character perfectly as a vampire, it goes like this:
(choosing different options will have different dialogues but they more or less lead to him saying the same thing.)
ASTARION: Just so you know, I have everything I've ever wanted. Everything lies ahead. I can see my path to a waking dream. From the Crimson Palace, I will govern day and night. Create a city of spawn who bow before me, cast a fog over the world for my children.
TAV: But the Palace halls will be lonely.
ASTARION: You'll be lonelier than I. Very soon I will discover how to call my legions of wolves, become a sea of mist, run wrongside-up on roofs. [laughs] Everything vampires do best.
You could have, too. [sniggers] What a waste.
TAV: You don't really have anything at all.
ASTARION: I can take anything I want. I should've made you a spawn just to teach you that.
And there we have it, that last bit of dialogue shows how Astarion is now everything he hated about his own master. He is Cazador's literal and spiritual successor, he thinks you need to be punished for rejecting him. He doesn't feel for you anymore, at least not in a human way. He has become someone else entirely, for the worst. His drive for taking the power of the rite was to be able to walk in the sun again but as a full vampire, he wants to "dominate it (the world) until the sun melts and give ourselves over to the night."
Astarion NEEDS change, he needs to see that the world can be a kinder place than the one he's lived in this whole time. Just a bit of care and love with him goes a long way. In his spawn ending, he comes to realise that you gave him his life back even if it was as a spawn because that is true freedom. He is free from his master, and greed & power which was in the disguise of safety. He may never be able to walk in the sun, but he is free to make his own decisions that are driven by his choices. One of them being; wanting and loving you, living a full life with you, whatever that may entail.
If you went into the game thinking that Astarion will betray you no matter what then giving him the ascendant ending brings your fears to life. Astarion doesn't learn anything, by making him a full vampire, you basically tell him that he can only be powerful and worth something if he has super vampire powers, and in turn, you lose everything too. Astarion may have gained unparralled strength but now he has no need of you, you gave him everything he wanted and nothing he needed so now he can do whatever he wants with you because you are lesser than him, literally, he is much stronger than you are and his power will only grow as he discovers more of it. He tries to manipulate you into turning you into a spawn. A dialogue being:
TAV: After everything you went through with Cazador, you're going to make me a spawn?
ASTARION: Oh that was completely different, I'd never hurt you. I love you. That's what you've been waiting to hear, isn't it? That's what you want?
Which just shows you how he's only saying "I love you" because that's what you want to hear, so you agree to becoming his spawn. He doesn't mean it, it doesn't really have any feeling behind it whatsoever. And if he turns you into a spawn, you have basically lost everything. Because he is obsessive over you, he'll never let you go and since now he is properly evil, he likely won't turn you into a vampire either, even if he says he will.
This is just my take on the ending though, I think we can all agree the ascendant ending is the evil ending for his character, even if it is an ending you prefer. I'm not trying to hate on anyone who does like this ending, only stating that I think it is meant to be evil and I personally don't like it.
CONCLUSION
Once you get to truly know Astarion, he's a pretty decent guy. I can't speak much for people who didn't romance him, I'm not entirely sure how his non-romance route plays out. The good conclusion of his quest is so wholesome, where he says he feels "truly, honestly free" and tells you "you saved me from myself. This is a gift, you know, thank you. I won't forget it." getting full circle to the first time you let him bite you (the only time in my case.) It shows so much character development and pure joy in the way he thanks you (it doesn't need to be said but props to Neil Newbon for bringing the character to life.) He will always be a spawn and yet, he feels like "anything and everything is possible" because of you and the choices you made with him, you believed in him when he didn't believe in himself, you showed him that he is enough just the way he is and he doesn't need to become a full vampire to be strong and powerful. Astarion comes out of his finale, a much more positive person, who actually cares even if he won't show it and the best part is, he always keeps that tiny streak of evil and mischief within him. He hasn't lost sight of himself, he's just less spiteful now and feels free to actually enjoy life rather than constantly being scared of what might happen to him. He finds trust and happiness in you and it makes him happy that you find the same within him. You are his home and he hopes he is yours.
I understand that my analysis may not be perfect and my interpretation of the character may be different from someone else's but that's fine, he is a video game character that can be played so many ways and people can go around it however they like, interpret his character however they wish. This is just what I think.
NOTES
'Astarion needs your guidance.' - no, this is not gaslight-y. Astarion is a deeply troubled character and clearly finds it hard to differentiate between right and wrong. He often asks for your input and what you think by Act 2 which isn't a bad thing, he's asking for help and I think that shows how far he's come. In the final scene of his quest, he is overcome by the promise of power and the safety it would've provided which would've consumed him as it did Cazador, Astarion admits to this himself too later on once he can think clearly and is in a more positive mindset. There is nothing wrong with guiding your partner towards something that will eventually be better for their growth as a person in the long run.

hi!! may i please get a uh ram nsfw alphabet or even a junk nsfw alphabet😁 ur pick💕
Ofc!! I'll start off w Ramattra l, I got some Junkrat requests you can look forward to in the future ^^
Ramattra NSFW Alphabet
MDNI!!! NSFW under the cut!
Tumblr media
A = aftercare (what they’re like after sex)
Ramattra isn't one for.. bonding after you both finish. He's more relaxed than he usually finds himself, for an act so simple he was surprised to feel.. almost complete. Of course, he doesn't let his mind wander. He's a leader and can't waste his day alone by your side. But after being so rough, well, he can't just abandon his little pet human. He would carry you to the bathroom and draw you a bath, make sure any aches and sores are taken care of before he departs. Maybe once he reaches his goals, he could set aside time for you, make you an important part of his day even.. but for now, that's the only care you will receive.
B = body part (their favorite body part of theirs and also their partner’s)
Ramattra is an omnic, cold, and robotic. Due to his build, he is powerful. The upgrades with his nemesis give him strength others could only dream of. His wit is beyond most humans he suffices, and he's one to pride himself on his parts. But his favorite is his hands. With them, he can upgrade himself as he so pleases, hold the staff he brings to battle, pin his favorite pet to the wall as he thrusts from behind whispering insults as you sob. On you? Well.. all humans are the same in his eyes, but you.. you are different. He can't choose a certain part that's his favorite. If he kept the thought in mind, he would settle of how.. squishy human flesh is. How easy he can mold you into positions.. that's what he finds enjoyable the most.
C = cum (anything to do with cum, basically)
Ramattra doesn't cum, in fact he finds the idea rather.. unpleasant. Just another thing about humans he couldn't help but despise. Such organic ways of reproduction are messy.. and reproduction only creates more soldiers to harm his people. Yet his ideas can shift, for being a monk in the past, he has learned to change his ways. With a mind open he can find a sick pleasure in your cum, he doesn't which to be covered. Oh no, he likes bending you in ways where you get your fluids on yourself. It's demeaning, but that's the case for many moments with him.
D = dirty secret (pretty self-explanatory, a dirty secret of theirs)
Ramattra.. well, he never saw himself having such relations with a human. Something so.. simple didn't catch his eye. So he still feels a bit odd when he holds you, gropes you, claims you. You, to him, is his dirty secret. He doesn't want other omnics to know he fell for such a thing, a human? Him? The idea is preposterous, so for now, your lives are kept private. But one day, he oh so wishes to free the little secret and claim you on the factory floor of the Null Sector as others look on to such a display.
E = experience (how experienced are they? do they know what they’re doing?)
Ramattra doesn't.. only because of you he gave those omnic enhancements for human relations a try. But believe me, he learns fast. During the first time, it only took gentle guiding before he was already rearranging your guts while saying filthy things in your ear. You would've thought he was highly experienced, but no, Ramattra would never share the fact he spent how long researching human anatomy for this.
F = favorite position (this goes without saying)
He likes control, Ramattra wants to be the one in power. He bends his little human around as he so pleases. An ironic change of power, instead of the humans in control, it's him, the omnic. If you forced him to answer. He'd laugh and say, "What a petty question," before he would give in. His favorite is doggy, forcing your face into the pillow while he pounds at a harsh pace from behind, watching the curve of your ass jiggle from how hard he was going.
G = goofy (are they more serious in the moment? are they humorous? etc.)
He isn't humorous outside of the bedroom. Inside is no different. But that doesn't mean he wouldn't laugh, oh no. He would laugh at you, your reactions, how fragile humans are.. how needy they are. "Ha. Already all sensitive? Weak. You humans can't even handle such little time with a thing you crave.."
H = hair (how well groomed are they? does the carpet match the drapes? etc.)
Ramattra doesn't have hair. Unless you count the wires he has, but he doesn't actually have hair, let alone pubic hair.
I = intimacy (how are they during the moment? the romantic aspect)
Ramattra isn't one for romance. But you.. well, he can make an exception just this once. After a strenuous day, watching armies go into battle. There's nothing he wants more than to see his little pet.. ironic how that is. After taking out the stress of the day on you, he's content to just hold you. Pet your hair and whisper sweet nothings. "You did well.. very well." Simple compliments are the world coming from him, Ranattra is no romantic lover. But during those soft moments, he feels like any person's dream.
J = jack off (masturbation headcanon)
When he first installed the.. enhancements he got. Of course, he had to try it out. The sensors.. well, they were a strange feeling but somewhat pleasant. When he felt something.. start to tighten, he grew concerned there was a malfunction, something he needed to fix. But he continued, and he found himself being pushed over the edge. Like his motherboard overloaded for a moment before this feeling of pure, relaxion hit. It was enjoyable, and if his little pet human isn't there to help him out, he might use his hand once more.
K = kink (one or more of their kinks)
Ramattra is well.. he thought things such as sex would be simple. It's just an act, nothing more.. right? He was soon to find out there was much more than just the act itself, emotions, positions, and even different kinks. At first he didn't want to expierement, but he found himself getting rougher and enjoying it. Without telling you, he looked into the more.. extreme parts. Hard domination peaked his interest, along with bindings. After trying them out, he learned he loved to deny you, making you whine and cry for your release. It pleases him, making a human beg for his mercy.
L = location (favorite places to do the do)
He's a private man, opting to claim you in your bedroom or his quarters. Away from any prying eyes, away from judgment. He still feels a small bit of embarrassment knowing he fell for a human. It isn't directed at you, but it feels like a weak point in what he fights for. So he just wants to keep his time with you private, just for him to enjoy.
M = motivation (what turns them on, gets them going)
Ramattra wants to say he doesn't crave sex like the pet he has.. but that just isn't true. After a long day, leading his army, meetings, and so on. He needs to release his stresses of the day into you, to rut into the tight, warm walls he grew to love. He loves watching you grow needy over him, using his legs to hump against like you were in heat. Just how desperate you get over him is that it turns him on more than anything.
N = no (something they wouldn’t do, turn offs)
He doesn't want to be subservient to a human, no. Omnics have already had to bend to the will of humans to be cast as monsters once they had the freedom of choice. Being told what to do.. getting told by a pet of his wjat to do. It's just not something he will entertain the idea of. He wants his little pet to he obedient, not him.
O = oral (preference in giving or receiving, skill, etc.)
Ramattra doesn't have a mouth. Even if he did, he wouldn't waste such time with a lowly human, even if it was you. But oral for him? There's nothing he wants more than to put his little pet human in it's place on their knees below him, only allowed to please him.
P = pace (are they fast and rough? slow and sensual? etc.)
Ranattra isn't one to be soft, especially on a human. When he gets to have his way with you, he calls the shots. And he prefers it to be fast, rough, and make it so you can only focus on him. It's a way to pound all that stress into his own little human of his own, but on the days he accepts the fact a human has his heart then.. well, he decides to be slow. To enjoy the warmth you bring, the sounds you make.. all just to admire. All so different, but all so unique.
Q = quickie (their opinions on quickies, how often, etc.)
Ramattra isn't one for quickies. If he wants it himself, he will take his time. Some things just can't be rushed. But if his pet is being particularly needy, then fine, he will give in just once. He won't admit the fact he enjoys he has the ability to make someone desire him in such a way, it's a boost in pride for him.
R = risk (are they game to experiment? do they take risks? etc.)
Fighting wars is risk at its rawest form. Sending troops after troops to battles the machinery used would need to be rebuilt time and time again. Ramattra is used to risks. It's what he does on a day to say basis. This is why he wants to keep his time with you private, with little risks of being caught or putting you in danger. He wants to be in control of everything entirely. If there's the chance something could go array, he is not interested.
S = Stamina (how many rounds can they go for? how long do they last?)
As an omnic, his stamina is nigh infinite. He can go for as many rounds as he so desires, and he uses that to his advantage. Each time you two have sex you are left disheveled, tired, and sore. He can also last as long as he wants. He has control over himself. Ramattra is mean but isn't heartless. He will listen if you truly need to stop.
T = toys (do they own toys? do they use them? on a partner or themselves?)
He sees no purpose in using toys. He is right there, so why do you need a small bit of silicone? Because Ramattra is an omnic, he can switch out parts as he needs. After his favorite little pet has been rather.. obedient, he decided to treat them. As he started the process of preparing his little human to take him, his fingers began to vibrate. It was sudden, but felt oh so good. After hearing the noises you made, Ramattra decided he would happily install more.. erotic functions to his body.
U = unfair (how much they like to tease)
As a former monk, he knows patience. He has spent years of his life dedicated to meditation, waiting. His skills he still practices, the patience helping him plan each move carefully. And how long he can hold himself from you, he can go weeks without touching you. All while whispering about how your treat is soon to come, he wants you to disobey.. to touch yourself behind his back. His teasing is all with the goal to punish you. All humans are weak minded.. unlike him. So go on, he wants you to give into those selfish human desires. It isn't unfair. He just wants to prove a point.
V = volume (how loud they are, what sounds they make, etc.)
Ramattra isn't one to moan. Be loud, and give you the impression he's enjoying himself. You are more likely to hear him make noise on the battlefield over the bedroom. That's just how he is. When he's close, he would let out some grunts, but when he crosses the finish line, he goes quiet and enjoys the feeling. He would much rather listen to you.
W = wild card (a random headcanon for the character)
If he succeeds in his goal, giving omnics power, he believes they all deserve he will settle down. He doesn't wish for a pure domestic life, but he truly does wish to have you by his side as his lover. To keep you on a pedestal by his side, his favorite pet human. He wants nothing more than to show you off, to claim you in front of others once he doesn't have to worry about appearances.
X = x-ray (let’s see what’s going on under those clothes)
After you came into his life, he learned more about humans. More than he ever wished to. Out of curiosity, he looked into omnic and human relationships and was surprised there was.. certain upgrades for such cases. He kept it a secret, but Ramattra had located such an upgrade. The.. device is purple in color. Made of silicone, with ridges from the base to tip. It's both squishy and firm, with wires he connected to his other sensors. Ramattra was genuinely surprised he could.. feel such sensations, but after getting the upgrade, there is no going back.
Y = yearning (how high is their sex drive?)
Ramattra in an omnic who holds off on more.. indulgent activities. Only you had made him even entertain the idea of such obscene actions. To which he tries to ignore the need, but after getting a taste, he finds himself fantasizing about taking his little pet human more and more. But he holds large amounts of self-restraint, only he knows how often he dreams of indulging such.. peculiar activities.
Z = zzz (how quickly they fall asleep afterwards)
Ramattra doesn't need to sleep, but when he's feeling rather.. tender, he will hold you close and let you rest in his arms. You look so small compared to him, and he feels protective. If you can fall asleep as he holds you, he will sit in silence. Meditating and enjoying the moment of silence you share.

Honestly have been having platonic yandere vampire au brainrot for the obey me brothers for so long....just a bunch of vampires looking at a human and just going "yup. You're coven now." And turning them whether they want to or not....
Oh vampire au! I don't think much about this particular au, but it's fun to write about.
Covens: Families or unrelated groups of vampires who live together.
Yandere!Vampire!Brothers who are very protective of the new human exchange student. They must protect the poor fragile human from the lesser vampires. Should any harm come to the human, they'll be answerable to Diavolo. They'll control their urge to suck out your blood, no matter how painful it be.
Yandere!Vampire!Lucifer who wishes to spend all his time with you, and as a result, makes you do your RAD homework in his room while he looks at you from his desk, under the pretext of 'keeping an eye on you'. He will ask you to prick the tip of your finger and put a drop of your blood in his teacup, just enough to enhance the flavour of his tea.
Yandere!Vampire!Mammon who is so sweet and clingly towards you, always sitting close to you in the class, walking you home to after school, wanting to take you out shopping as soon as he gets goldie again. What? He adores you so much! He'll accompany you everywhere he can because he doesn't think you can protect yourself from the lesser vampires. Just don't let his hand go okay? He will keep you safe!
Yandere!Vampire!Leviathan who is grateful for a friend who actually listens to him! He tries to keep your attention focused on him by engaging you in his video games, keeping you cooped up in his room by pulling all nighters watching anime and TSL. Whenever he mentions being thirsty you rush out to get him some water, but he wasn't referring to water now was he? You'll surely let him have a sip if he asks nicely right?
Yandere!Vampire!Satan who helps you out when you're in need. Your task is to write about vampire as a human being? Don't worry, he's there to help you. Let's study about the basis anatomy of a vampire first? Hours and hours spent in the library or his room, your nose buried in the books, while he relishes in your presence. He'll delibrately pick books written in ancient script so you're forced to take his help in deciphering them or he'll delibrately select books with sharper edges so that he gets to enjoy a little treat after you leave.
Yandere!Vampire!Asmodeus who can't help but drown himself in your affection. The online account he made for you has already reached millions of followers, thanks to yours truly. The two of you spend time filming videos to post and do online challenges together. Many people compliment the new blush he's wearing, asking him the brand name. He just smiles sweetly and he tells them "it's one of a kind". The blush being your blood stored in his little compact case.
Yandere!Vampire!Beelzebub who is worried the most out of all the brothers about your safety. Everyday he feels like he lost Lilith yesterday, but now that you're here, he wants to make sure he never repeats that mistake again. He'll hog you as much as he can and will definitely put you on a training routine to make you strong. He will purposefully stuff his mouth with more food when you're around, he really don't wanna hurt you.
Yandere!Vampire!Belphegor who bares his teeth when someone tries to wake him from his sleep, but if it's you then it is replaced with a gentle smile, persuading you to join him instead. Before he used to hang around the planetarium and the attic, but now he can be found dozing in your bed. He will ask you to cuddle up to him everynight, even invites Beel from time to time. Sleeps with a part of his pillow in his mouth, should his vampiric urges take control in his sleep.
Yandere!Vampire!Brothers who are shocked by the news of your return to the human world. You have completed your year as an exchange student, now you must return home.
"But can't you just stay here? With us? We will protect you from any and all danger, so don't leave, there is no reason to go back" Mammon's voice had a lining of desperation that the others sitting in the room could catch on. All the brother where gathered in the living room to convince you to stay. "It was nice spending time with each one of you, but the presence of a human for too long might upset the natural balance. Plus I have a family I have to go back to" That's it! A family!
Yandere!Vampire!Brothers who pursuade you to become a vampire, then you can be a part of their family right? They can always get another human for the exchange program, but you, no, you're special. You will live with them as a vampire if you can't as a human. You'll not be taking the place of Lilith, no one can, but you've made your own and you'll be a part of their coven. What? You refuse? It's okay, supper's almost ready and the sleeping power should be kept here somewhere......well you don't have to worry, they will take care of everything. From the transition to the struggle of containing one's lust for blood, they'll be there with you at every step of the way. You will outlive your human family, and then they will be your only family, whom you will live with forever....
P.S : Hello anon! It was really fun for me to write this! But if it is not up to your liking then you can ask me to write it again and I'll try to better next time! Thank you!

May I please have a Wally with a reader that is somehow sentient and aware with knowing they've somehow got stuck in this tv show and are heavely aware Wally has something to do with it?
So they're extra closed up about themselves, stay home a lot to avoid the puppets in overly social gathering (like they can handle two or three of them but not all at once as it's too overwhelming with happy shizzles and stuff), yet that doesn't mean they don't talk at all to them. They don't keep their mouth shut either when something's bothering them, like when they get annoyed when Wally stares too long at them and makes a comment about it or genuinely admit they dislike Home with how disturbing it seems to them.
Wally somehow doesn't mind as he's genuinely interested in them and wants to become their friend as best as possible, not for any reason with manipulation, just pure friendly business. But as the reader knows he's the main star of the show they're forced to play in, they know the camera follows him almost always, thus they avoid him like the plague which causes a cat and mouse play between you two. Wally trying to get closer to you with perhaps making paintings and gifts for you while you just casually dip out of there while somehow looking like you don't hate him.
(It would be even funnier if you somehow became the second favorite character of the show as you stand out a lot with your attitude and being the only human being there, perhaps even attracting teens to watch the show with your remarks at the puppets for a certain someone not even having a nose or eyebrows and your monotone voice singing and having no energy with dancing once you somehow get stuck in a song sequence with the others (kind of like red guy from dhmis)
Funny thing is, sadly for Wally, is that you get along well with Frank and Eddie as they're the more calm ones, Eddie still joyfull a lot, but more calmer than Julie and Howdy perhaps are.
So there's Wally, staring with the most confused and slight jealous eyes as he watches you joke around and actually smile with the duo/couple(?) while you always give him a frown that's somehow even deeper than Franks.
Sorry for the slight ramble and long explanation (I'm a fanfic writer myself), just wanted to give a summary of how I see it and wondering how you'd think this would work out.
Btw, reader doesn't hate Wally, they're just warry and uncomfortable with his stares and Home in general, and with the knowledge that's he's one of the reasons they're stuck here. They soften up to him a little eventually, like letting him hug them shortly or talking more casual with him, but no way he ever sees them entering his house.
This was so long I'm so sorry.
Anyway, have a great day/night!
Oh don't worry I think this is a great idea! I like how fleshed-out it is!
...........
You have only spent a week in the neighborhood...before realizing something was terribly, terribly wrong with the world surrounding you.
At first, this place seemed like nothing but sunshine and rainbows--full of fun, joy, color, and friendship. A place that one could only dream of living in all their life, free of worry or strife.
It felt comforting and safe, so when you started having these weird feelings that not everything was as it seemed..you figured you were just nervous about settling into a new place.
But when the folks here asked where you were from, you'd end up drawing a blank...starting to question where you really did come from. So you'd simply tell them you're just "out of town" and leave it at that, although you always sounded uncertain about it.
And there's something else that was especially peculiar: every activity the neighbors did almost always stopped at the end of the day. It seemed strange to you since there's plenty of things you could do. Like campfires or stargazing!
So one evening, you asked all of your neighbors why they rarely hung out during the night, and they had relatively normal responses: Eddie says it's tricky to deliver mail at nighttime; Howdy was too tired from working at the bugdega all day; Barnaby and Sally had to plan their next stunts, tricks, and plays; Julie and Frank wanted to get their "beauty sleep"; and Poppy needed to take care of things back at the barn.
All seemed to be perfectly reasonable answers...
Until you got to Wally.
He looked as though he was ready to respond...only to fall quiet and stare off into space, as though he was in another world. But the fact that his pupils seemed to dilate gave you the chills for some reason, and you calmly tried snapping him out of his trance.
Then he did, and quietly said something about Home "disliking" it whenever he stays out too late. And he bid you goodnight before leaving.
That exchange was the moment you realized something was very off about him beyond his staring habits. It's like he didn't know exactly what to say.
As if...it's such an unusual question for him, but normal to you.
And out of nowhere, the truth hit you like a truck:
This whole place was just one big TV show, with all of you trapped inside as the unwitting stars who were meant to follow certain "scripts" during your daily interactions.
You don't know how or why you knew that, but it became clearer when you constantly got the feeling that your movements were being watched.
You could sense eyes on you even when you were alone.
And sometimes you'd hear indistinguishable voices of adults and children alike while you slept, unable to discern whether they were merely in your dream or existed in reality. It must have been the former, considering none of the other neighbors said they heard anything.
To you, these people...these "viewers", sounded like they were in a faraway land--an unreachable place where you couldn't call out to them for answers no matter how hard you tried.
You knew nothing about them, but they knew everything about you.
Your character had become so fascinating to them from the moment you arrived in the humble neighborhood. You've actually become the second favorite almost instantly, given the uniqueness you've brought to the colorful cast as a human merely wearing an average-sized costume.
They've observed that your personality makes you relatable to young teens, attracting them to the show. Many of them got some chuckles out of your dry and semi-self aware humor (in that you'd joke about how Wally's missing his eyebrows and nose when everybody else has them). It was an immediate hit.
Even when you got pulled into some silly musical number with the rest of the gang, you just spoke in monotone and put lackluster energy into dancing when the camera panned over to you--much to the dismay of your "neighbors".
The viewers just couldn't get enough of you. They adored you.
And they can't stop watching.
You, on the other hand, weren't aware that you were so popular...and quite frankly, you didn't want to be. It terrified you.
So for a while, to protect your own sanity, you began attending less and less social events, not wanting to overwhelm yourself. You've declined invitations to Sally's and Barnaby's shows, which made you feel kinda bad..but you were just so fearful of everything at the time.
Were any of them aware of their circumstances, too?
You had no idea, and it would probably make you sound like a crazy person if you told them how you really felt.
The only other person to show any sort of "deviance" was...Wally himself.
You didn't know why, but you felt like he had something to do with the situation you're in. Especially given his odd response to you that evening and the fact that...he just apparently loved to stare so much, watching you just like the audience did.
It didn't help that whenever you talked to him or he tried approaching you, you got the chilling feeling that you were being perceived by the audience--as if somebody was holding a camera over your shoulder, wanting to capture every moment the "main character" spent with you.
You'd prefer to spend as little time in the spotlight as possible.
However, being anxious about this world didn't mean you weren't a bit mouthy towards other things you disliked. You were known for being blunt and sometimes a "realist", shrugging of whatever crocodile tears the others may give you just for the crime of being honest and true to yourself.
So yes...you'd always call out Wally if he was staring at you for a prolonged period of time, or if he tried persuading you to say hello to Home if you happened to pass by the sentient house.
Your response? Straight up "no thank you, it creeps me out and I don't like how its window-eye things are looking at me."
The audience may laugh, but it's the truth.
That building scares you.
Despite all of this, though...Wally didn't seem to bothered by it. He likened your sarcastic quips to Frank's, so that was never an issue with him. If anything, he was genuinely trying to help you feel right at home in the neighborhood, hoping to become a friend you could trust and rely on if you needed anything.
It'll just take you a bit more time to adjust, and that's alright!
Sure, maybe his stares were strange to you and Home was well...Home. He understood why those things might seem scary to a new neighbor.
But then again, that's how everybody else acted when he first met them, and now they were all good friends!
He's sure you'll fit right in and find true happiness here. So he made it his mission to befriend you without coming on too strongly, inviting you to quiet picnics and painting lessons, calling you on the phone, and even showing up at your doorstep with gifts.
He even made sure to tell his neighbors to give you space, though he was really hoping you'd stop being afraid of him the longer you spent around him alone.
But while you accepted his presents and showed up to his invites...you just couldn't let your guard down around him. You never looked happy or relaxed, and didn't stay long, usually cutting your time together short under the guise that you forgot to do something important and had to leave now.
Your latest excuse was that you forgot to "walk your fish" even though you owned no such pet. You were a terrible liar, but Wally believed you anyways.
He was a patient man, so he'll wait how ever long it took to befriend you.
...........
"Alright, Home..today I'm gonna gift [y/n] my finest work thus far! Do you think they'll like it?"
Pausing, Wally listened for the creaks of approval and squeaks of reassurances, smiling when he heard them, although Home noted something else.
"Haha..you're right. Silly me. It needs more time to dry..or else the paint will just smudge and make it a not-so-nice gift. Sorry, I'm just excited, is all.." He chuckled awkwardly.
After setting the canvas back on the easel, he wandered over to the window and peered outside, humming a small tune to himself as he rested his arms on the sill.
It took him all day and all night to paint the perfect picture of your favorite animal---which he learned about from an off-handed comment you made a few days ago. His memory was sharp, remembering all the details about the creature, and he believed you'll love what he created as a result!
Surely now you'll see that he's not all that bad. Otherwise he'd be lost on how to convince you.
However, he noticed a rather...surprising sight from across the street, one that even Home had to confirm was happening so he didn't think he was going crazy.
You were actually out and about, having a casual chat with Frank, asking how he got together with Eddie before bumping into said mailman on the sidewalk.
Wally couldn't make out what any of you three were discussing, but Eddie must have said something humorous, as it made Frank groan and hide his blushing face. And you just chuckled and shook your head, patting the latter's back sympathetically.
He felt his heart sink.
You were talking to the couple--joking around, smiling, and genuinely enjoying their company. As if you've known them all your life.
Yet anytime he's even near you in any capacity, he's met with frowns deeper than Frank's and constant excuses to get away from him. Like he was some kind of pest or scary monster.
He didn't understand what he was doing wrong.
Of course, he's happy you're getting along with some of the neighbors, no longer being so shut-in...but it hurt to know he's still stuck struggling, literally begging you to be his friend.
*creaaaak?*
"..no, Home. I'm not jealous. What gives you that idea?"
*...creeak.."
Swallowing the lump in his throat, Wally looked back at the easel, sighing. Part of him wanted to just throw the whole canvas out the window, but....he shook off the feeling, forcing a smile.
He wanted you to have it, even if you didn't like him that much.
So when he saw you finally parting ways with Eddie and Frank, he decided to head over to your house about an hour later, assuming you were gonna be there and needed to recharge from socializing.
He put on his best cardigan and made sure his hair was neat before heading out the door with the small canvas tucked under his arm, covered by a protective sheet. He wouldn't wanna spoil the surprise for you, after all..even if you anticipated it being yet another painting.
For some reason, the sky was grayer than usual today..meaning it's probably gonna rain on his parade.
But he didn't let that deter him.
After arriving to your house, he knocked three times, in a certain rhythm that you've distinctively recognized as him being at the door.
But he was surprised when you opened it right away. "Oh heya, Wally. What's up?"
"Ohh nothing much, neighbor." He chuckled. "May I..come in? I promise I won't stay long-"
"It's cool. It looks like it's gonna rain anyways. Wouldn't wanna ruin your "beautiful" hair now, huh?" With a coy smirk, you let him come inside the house, shutting the door behind you as you turned around to see what be brought you this time.
He looked shocked, almost, standing there like a fish out of water. You invited him in without hesitation...though he tried not getting his hopes up too high.
You're just trying to be polite. In a few minutes you're gonna kick him out for some silly reason.
Shifting your gaze away from his uncomfortable stare, you looked at the painting in his hands, tilting your head. "I guess that's for me.."
Nodding, Wally handed you the canvas, watching you remove the small sheet to see it was a painting of your favorite animal. Your eyes lit up, impressed by the amount of details that went into this one, before looking back up at him. "Wow, man..this is....awesome. How long did it take you?"
"Not very long!" He suddenly chirped, hands clasped together with excitement. "I just hope it fits nicely in your collection! A-Assuming....you...have one...that is..."
Bit by bit, his words began to fall flat with uncertainty, before he completely dropped the act, shoulders slumped.
Why did he bother trying anymore? What was the point?
You noticed his odd mood shift. "Wally? What's wrong?"
"..nothing, neighbor.." Sighing, he hung his head low, a cloud of doom and gloom manifesting over him as he shuffled towards the door. He felt like going back to Home and curling up in a corner somewhere. "I'll...see you later-"
"Wait."
"...hm?"
He stopped and looked over his shoulder, still feeling quite depressed but willing to listen to whatever you wanted to say.
You set the painting on a nearby table, approaching him with your heart constrained with guilt. "Look, Wally..I know you think I hate you or something, but...that's not true."
"It...isn't?" He blinked.
"I'm sorry if I gave you that impression. There's just been...a lot of my mind lately. Things I can't really talk about just yet..I-I don't know. It's hard to explain. But the point is...I really do wanna be your friend. I guess I'm just...a very "guarded" person if that makes sense."
Although Wally was staring at you yet again, you didn't break eye contact, wanting him to know you're being genuine here. "I don't open up easy, but I know you've...helped me a lot, and I appreciate that. I do keep your paintings and I do feel bad for being a jerk to you sometimes. So...think you can forgive me? I'll even allow this if you want."
When he saw you open your arms up to him, he was frozen for a few long moments, astonishment written all over his face.
He just...didn't know what to say. Not only did you actually like his company, but....
He was allowed to hug you??
"..c'mon, pal. My arms are kinda getting tired." You awkwardly smiled, although you blinked as he suddenly latched onto you, letting out a few sniffles.
He wanted to sob so badly, but knew that wouldn't be very "neighborly" of him.
Yet you heard how he sounded, and felt guilty for treating him as some bad guy...when really he didn't seem malicious at all. You wanted to believe he had good intentions.
Whether or not he also knew the truth behind this place...that didn't matter right now.
He just wanted to be your friend.
You'll never be happy if you kept being so afraid of him all the time. That wasn't any life to live, even if you're unsure of whether this was your only life or not.
But you let him hug you anyways, patting his back.
"Th-This is very nice of you, neighbor. I forgive you." He mumbled, cheek squished against your shoulder as he clung to you tightly, never wanting to let go-
"Thanks......okay, you can let go now."
"..o-oh! Right, sorry." Reluctantly, Wally let you go, rubbing his eyes before dusting off his cardigan, breathing a sigh of relief. "Whew! I'm glad we're on better terms now. But...if I may ask..what changed?"
"Ah, well..I was talking with Frank and Eddie earlier..and I asked them about you."
"Huh....?" He pointed to himself, raising an invisible eyebrow. "Me..?"
"Yeah. Since they're more chill than most of the people here, I feel like I can be myself around them." You explained. "Howdy and Julie are kinda too loud for me, so...yeah. Those guys pushed me to reach out to you and try to make this friendship work...instead of the other way around."
'So...that's what they were talking about..' He realized, though he beamed anyways, happy you took their advice.
"Well that's great! I think we'll become great friends, [y/n]!" Smiling, he offered his hand to you, and you shook it as a way of saying you're both willing to start over.
"I..think so, too, Wally." You smiled back, feeling this huge weight being lifted off your shoulders.
"So...do you wanna come visit Home when the weather clears?"
"...I'll pass. But I'll wave to 'em from afar if that's okay."
"It's fine by me, neighbor."

I could talk about Hetty and her death for hours. I could. And I have. And I will. Hetty rant under the cut if you please DFSDGSFDDS
I honestly don't even know where to begin with this. I have so much to say about Hetty to the point that I woke up at 4a.m today because I couldn't stop thinking about her.
Hetty is an absolutely magnificent character. First off- She is a Victorian Woman. Women back then wernt treated like people. They were thrown around, used and abused, before being thrown away. Hetty was forced into a marriage (with her cousin, none the less) and was forced to be the perfect high-class image her entire life.
She was probably forced into having Thomas, but even though all that, she cares about him. She killed herself to try and secure him a safe future. She thinks Thomas must hate her- resent her for what she did to herself and how she treated him- but you can tell the opposite is true. Even after Hetty is long gone, Thomas still went to her for advice. He asked her if he should marry a lady he was seeing, and he didn't know, but Hetty was there and she cared.
Hetty had all these windows put up around her for all her life. Windows specifically because you can see her, but you can't touch. You can admire, but you can't love. You can see the display version of her that was put out to see, but you never get to see the Real Henrietta Woodstone.
Until Hetty died, and met the Ghosts. Slowly, one by one, they broke down these windows and Hetty was finally able to become herself. She allowed herself to enjoy the afterlife- to indulge in everyday things like TV, smelling foods, sex, jokes and laughing, and so much more that she wasn't ever allowed to do when she was alive.
She allowed herself to love and to be loved.
She made connections with the ghosts, she had a best friend, she had arguments and betrayals, she allowed herself to feel real love for Trevor. She did this all because she knew she had nothing to fear, that no one would be able to come back and hurt her.
But then Elias came back. Actually, it turns out he had been there the entire time. Waiting and listening the entire time, underneath the very house that Hetty was haunting. Though all the years she felt safe and at home, her terrible husband was there waiting the entire time.
They were able to get rid of him, but I can only imagine how terrified Hetty must've still felt. All this time that she felt safe, he was there.
But still, she allowed herself to live, even after this. To change and grow, even though she is a hundred and fifty years old. We have watched her experience new things, we have seen her get a chance to live again through the Arondakers and their BnB.
Then, Flower got sucked off. Or so they thought, anyways. The house wasn't the same without her, whether they liked it or not- they were incomplete. Until they found out Flower had been down a well this whole time.
Desperate to get Flower out and back to the group, Hetty revealed her deepest darkest secret. Her death- suicide. She killed herself to try and save family, but then she finally let the secret of her death out to do the same thing. She saved family.
No one knew, either. Pete knew they had a telephone, Hetty even talked to him about it. When Hetty told him about her phone, all along, she had those cords tight on her neck underneath that dress. And no one knew.
Her and Trevor were having sex for MONTHS, and they probably will again someday soon. But still, he had no idea. Not once did he see those marks or that cord, not once did he ever ask any questions.
I imagine that Hetty was glad. Glad that her shameful secret could hide safe under her collar. But I think she was also hurt. Hurt that a man she has spent countless hours with doesn't realize that there is a secret under there. She works hard to hide it- the fake story made up about her Morphine induced death, so Trevor would truthfully no reason to question it- but Hetty is only human.
She feels real sorrow and real pain, but she still hides some of it. When she pulled down that collar, you can see that she is looking at Isaac. Isaac watched her grow up and pass him in age, Isaac knew her from when she was just born, Isaac is her best friend.
She looks away and looks at the ground, you can see the fear in her face. Fear that no one will treat her thr same anymore, fear that all she will be shown is pitty and apprehension. But that's not what happens. They don't pitty her, but they try to help her. She is their friend, and they don't care how she died a hundred years ago, all they care about is who she is now and if she is okay.

🌊Can I request Leona with a female giyuu tomioka s/o.
🦁They are calm enough to let Leona sleep somtimes her has to make them lying down because they are so used to not sleep for a few days because being a hashira is hard.
🌊Him learning that the rest of the hashiras do not respect them and about their promise to comit seppuku if nezuko eats human because they used to have nothing until they dated Leona (Leona respects woman so honestly he would not accept that kind of disrespect ) .
🦁how would Leona react to that they still wears half of Sabito, his late best friend's, and his older sister's haori as a memento of them.
🌊Imagen them baby sitting because cheka likes them so much he doesn't want to leave them(canon giyuu loves children )
🦁 imagine that he always uses their haoiri as a blanket or pillow because they are always busy doing stuff if it's not hepling the first years it helping the headmaster or taking down overbolts.
🌊 (aperntly giyuu suffers from a inferiority complexwhich he developed since his participation in the Final Selection. It gets severe to the point where he contemplates abandoning his position as the Water Hashira until Tanjiro helps him realize that instead of acting on his survivor's guilt, he should cherish his life and live on for the people who sacrificed their lives for him )
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Leona Kingscholar
You would have to really grab his attention if you want him to notice you, let alone fall in love with you. He had seen your strength and the grace you carry yourself with, which reminded him of the women from his homeland.
The first time you spent the night in his room, he held you in his arms as you both slept. When you woke up around midnight, he held you closer and told you to go back to sleep. For a second you were about to tell him that you needed to leave for a mission, but you remembered that you didn’t have a mission.
When he learned about how you needed to get home as soon as possible, he was kind of hurt until he heard your explanation. You needed to prevent a demon named Nezuko from eating a human otherwise you would have to carry out your vow of performing harakiri.
Once he gets the whole story of the deal and how the other Hashira absolutely despised you for what you did, he’s angry. Especially at the guys who hated you. It was part of his culture where women were typically more respected, so the fact that these Pillars that called themselves ‘men’ treated you like this is despicable.
When you were first forced to wear the Ramshackle dorm uniform, he noticed that instead of the grey band around your arm you had a band that was split between two patterns. He pointed it out to you and you told him about the story of Sabito and Tsutako. He genuinely feels bad that you had to suffer through so much pain, and that results in him holding you in his arms more to let you know that he will be there with you as long as you will have him.
Once, Leona’s brother dropped off Cheka so that he could go on a trip to visit the ruler of a neighboring kingdom. The Prince thought it was adorable how you immediately warmed up to the young cub and even took him off of his hands to entertain the small child. His heart fluttered at how you spread your legs out on the floor and placed Cheka between them, like how mothers do when they watch their baby play on the floor.
Now, there are a few things he doesn’t tell you. One such thing is that if you’re out and about and he wants to take a nap, he’ll use your haori as a blanket because it smells exactly like you, with a hint of the original owners of the original haori’s that yours was crafted from.
There are times where you are reminded of how many fellow demon slayers had lost their lives because they were so dedicated to the cause of the Demon Slayer Corps. You’re friend Tanjiro encouraged you to not abandon your position as the Water Hashira out of survivor’s guilt, and Leona does the same thing.
He might not be the most positive person, but he can be encouraging and inspiring when he needs to be. He will tell you that many people would have died here had you not saved them from their overblot. Yeah, it’s going to hurt for a while, but you now have people like him to talk to. And he won’t let you forget it.

can clerics be lawyers? if so, maybe cinderpelt being the lawyer for squirrel & leaf? who are the options that you are thinking of?
I've got a rough outline of the Trial of Squirrelflight's Horror in mind with some neat new deets, let me toss them together so you can see what I'm trying to do here. I'll also post a "Wanted Ad" of traits the cat needs to display
But to quickly answer directly; Yes, Clerics can be lawyers. However, Cinderpelt might not fit specifically, because this lawyer needs to be equally antagonistic as well as protagonistic. This won't be a Lizardstripe situation.
BEFORE THE TRIAL;
Squirrelflight's Horror is a book that is setting up the events of TBC.
First of all, it's setting up how no one immediately caught Bramblestar being replaced by an impostor. He is not a popular leader, with a long list of controversial choices.
(unfortunately, the fact he was suddenly good at making names stood out more than his cruelty.)
Second of all, we're going to set up some tumult in StarClan.
When Squirrelflight and Leafpool die this time, it's actually their uncle Iceheart who "fetches" them.
He died in the Battle of the True Eclipse, having a rematch with Tigerstar. So they haven't seen him in a while.
From him, they learn there's been delays in StarClan cats coming up and down. But he'll walk them up. (Iceheart replaces a cat named Blade completely.)
Squirrelflight really doesn't want to go, since her grandson Hollylark (from Fallenleaf x Cinderheart) just died, leaving her apprentice Sparkpelt (from Bramblestar x Jessy) alone with newborns.
There's also been a couple shuffles in the cats they meet up in StarClan, let me go over them;
Squirrelflight is barren and had a miscarriage, back in Po3. She was only a moon pregnant (equiv: 4-ish months in a human)
She never gets back with Bramblestar after his treatment in BB!OoTS, he has Spark and Alder with Jessie.
SOOO I don't actually have a place for Dandelionkit and Juniperkit because I really do not want BB to have Angel Fetus Children like canon lmaooo
Flickerkit and Larksong are here though! Their new names are Flickerflame (starclan-given) and Hollylark (to show that Larksong and Hollytuft have been combined).
Shrewpaw, now Shrewface, has been Squirrelflight's guardian angel for her whole life. She learns this here.
When apprentices and kits die, they get full names and the ability to choose the age they appear as, barring certain circumstances.
Hollyleaf, now Fallenleaf, is not dead so she is not here.
Squirrelflight's mentor was Goldenflower, not Dustpelt. They are BOTH here though.
When Squilf and Leafpool get to StarClan, they learn that they've lived VERY controversial lives, and now need to be judged. That brings us to...
LEAFPOOL'S TRIAL
Actually does not go over as harshly as it did in canon. Squilf is going to be the one getting interrogated, sorry girlie
The main purpose of this one is to show how the trials work for Squilf later. I'm also planning for the same Lawyer who handles Leaf to handle Squilf too.
However, Leafpool is still grilled. The line, "Why do you think you're worthy of StarClan?" is used.
Breaking the code to be with Crowfeather is brought up, countered with "she came back and stayed, because the Clan did not have a Cleric."
When the Three are brought up, it's addressed with the Queen's Rights. She "did what she was supposed to," giving her children to Squirrelflight to raise.
She spent her whole life obeying, even at personal pain to herself, and served her Clan loyally despite momentary lapses in judgement.
It was a traumatic thing to go through, but still results in an easy ruling; Worthy of StarClan.
Leafpool chooses to stay in StarClan, and they watch her body die down on Earth, plus the following vigil
Squilf's Trial is a lot more complicated.
SQUIRRELFLIGHT'S TRIAL
Fire Alone, as an ideology, involves a TON of codebreaking... which she has done, often. Especially during the events of Squirrelflight's Horror where she has been forced to defy Bramblestar's direct orders several times
She's lived her whole life with the knowledge that unjust laws MUST be defied.
I think she should also kill someone in defense of the Sisters tbh. Like let's really make this worse than canon and give them something worth interrogating her about. WAS it okay to kill that person in defense of someone outside the Code?
It's not just Squirrelflight that's in question here; it's Fire Alone itself. WILL StarClan accept the idea that the Code applies to outsiders as well?
VERY IMPORTANT: This is why I do not want the Lawyer to be someone who is a Fire Alone supporter. Squirrelflight is defending it, AND herself
Iceheart, Firestar, Sandstorm, Bluestar, and all of her allies grow more and more agitated as the Trial goes on. Her enemies do as well.
Before the ruling, the entire jury is in a FEVER PITCH. Thunderstar, the Judge, cannot roar loud enough to get them all to quiet down. In fact, he makes it worse
Ashfur is one of the named "enemies" of Squirrelflight, and one of the loudest for her damnation.
The court cannot calm down enough to cast a ruling. It's starting to break out in actual fighting, Squirrelflight casts a glance at Leafpool
She's trying to yell that she needs to go home, people need her, she doesn't have time for this
And then she feels a squeeze on her ankle
Yowling with alarm, Squirrelflight feels herself sliding down into the clouds, away from the furious chaos that is engulfing StarClan. It becomes a shining speck on the horizon as if she's falling out of a dream
She's screaming for Leafpool, reaching out her claws for StarClan, convinced that she's just been damned and is being dragged down to the Dark Forest
BACK ON EARTH
She awakens in her nest, back in her body
With her son Jayfeather next to her.
As she stirs and begins to raise her head, she hears Lionblaze bellow, "YOU GLORIOUS BASTARD YOU REALLY DID IT!!" before dogpiling her
Jayfeather looks surprised that it worked at all at first, before huffing proudly
Jayfeather: "never ask me for anything ever again"
The last of a golden glow fades from his eyes; he has used the last drop of power he had left. He later shares that he doesn't think it would have worked if Squilf hadn't still been hanging on.
Fallenleaf rushes in next, followed by grandchild Ivypool, her first apprentice Rosepetal, her best friend Daisy, and by that point the Cleric's den is bursting.
Bramblestar is poking his head in, but realizes pretty quickly that he is Not Welcome, and stares longingly.
After her cuddles and hugs, Squirrelflight brings up Sparkpelt. She NEEDS to see Sparkpelt. Sparkpelt needs to know she's okay, and that her mate and poisoned child reached StarClan.
SO... LAWYER WANTED AD:
The lawyer can't be someone who's entirely on Squirrelflight's side. It's someone who is challenging her, but not entirely unsympathetic.
It needs to be someone she knew in life. Lawyers are never people who are strangers, which rules out Yellowfang who I had been heavily considering.
Ideally it's the same lawyer between Squilf and Leafp, just so we can spend plenty of time with the character and use Leaf's trial to show their personality.
Hmm.... you know, now that I'm thinking about it... what if it was ASHFUR?
Maybe even have him blackmailing Squilf... "I'll be fair, for you, of course... just promise to do whatever I say, and I'll save your sister. This is your chance to make up for everything you did to me..."
That could be pretty fun. AND be good setup for BB!TBC.

Shun the Light - Ch 18 - Nightlife
Masterlist
Author's Notes: Dante POV here, Matteo next chapter
Both chapters will jump around a bit, but I didn't want to drag things out too long and it would just be a lot of the same thing over and over again anyway.
Content Warnings: vampire whump, angst, loneliness, beaten up, alcohol mention, smoking mention
----
Returning to his old ways shouldn't be this hard.
Dante spent forty-eight years alone. Matteo was only here two months.
Who knew such a slight impact could leave such a crater.
He set himself up for failure the moment he tried to go about business as usual as though none of it happened. Like they didn't bare their souls to each other, like he didn't lick Matteo's wounds and hold him while he cried, like Matteo didn't feed Dante with his own blood countless times.
The bedroom where Matteo stayed looks like no one touched it. The bed is neatly made, his things all gone, any mess cleaned up.
Only a few small things throughout the house provide any reminder that there was a second inhabitant, if only for a short while. Claw marks in the bunker, a broken attic window, the handful of things Matteo bought for him in town. Sometimes he can still recall the taste of Matteo's blood. Sometimes he still catches a hint of his scent when he walks into a room.
Without these things Dante might be able to convince himself that it was all a dream, or worse, a hallucination in his dying moments before he turns to ash, still staked to the wall upstairs. But the emptiness that aches within Dante is all too real.
-
I miss him.
The admission finally comes three weeks after Matteo left.
Night has just fallen and Dante is looking out the window. He has almost gotten used to the silence by now. He has also started hunting again, drinking just enough to keep going, no more, no less. Even now, something in him wants to live - if this could be called a life.
With each passing night the moon grows, and Dante dares to hope that Matteo will change his mind and return. Even if it was only for shelter, at least they could talk. Dante wouldn't try to make him stay; he just wants to know if their time together meant something to Matteo too. Maybe they could even stay in touch.
-
The full moon arrives.
Dante leaves the front door unlocked and a lamp on out front.
Morning comes, but there is no sign of Matteo.
-
Dante feels like he might finally lose his mind after all these years.
One moment he's doing alright, the next he's at the damn window again, looking for a figure that never appears. None of the usual distractions are working. His appetite continues to dwindle.
Three nights have passed since the full moon. Some part of Dante really believed it was the thing that would bring Matteo back. No matter how determined he was to move on, the hope was like an itch he couldn't scratch.
Sick of his own thoughts, Dante decides he needs to do something. He doesn't intend for it to be something reckless, but that's what happens. That night he steps outside, picks a direction, and starts walking.
-
After a few hours of nothing but trees, Dante reaches a state route that cuts through the woods. He ducks behind a tree until a single car passes before he steps out.
In the distance a handful of businesses line the road. As Dante approaches he can tell that most of them are closed, except for a gas station and a dive bar with a single glowing blue sign.
This is the point where Dante should turn around and head back. Instead he heads towards the light without any real plan. He hasn't been somewhere so public in over a decade. Maybe being around humans will remind him why he avoids it.
Dante only just makes it through the front door when a group of four belligerently drunk young men shove past him.
"Watch it," one snaps at him.
"Go home and take a bath," Dante mutters.
The man closest to him stops and turns around. "What was that?"
Shit. He keeps his back to them. "Nothing."
Another guy grab's Dante's shoulder and forces him to turn around. The group take one look at him with his long hair and old fashioned clothing and deem him an easy target.
Getting rid of them would be easy, but not worth the risk of getting caught, so Dante doesn't struggle when they drag him around the side of the building and shove him to the ground.
"It's nice and quiet out here. Now what did you say?"
Dante slowly stands and brushes himself off. He turns to walk away, but one of them grabs his arm. He immediately pulls free, and when the man reaches for him again Dante grabs him first, holding his wrist in a tight grip.
"What - what the fuck, man?! Let go!"
He struggles but Dante is unmoving, staring him down. If he wanted to he could snap his bones. If he really wanted to he could tell the man to break his own wrist, and he would obey.
Dante sees the the punch coming. He could stop it. He could stop all of this in an instant. If he wanted to. If he cared.
A fist strikes his cheek with brute force, sending Dante crashing to the ground. This time, before he has a chance to recover, all four men surround him and unleash a barrage of fists and boots, each blow more painful than the last. It's all he can do to shield his mouth so the humans don't see his fangs each time he cries out.
"HEY!" Someone shouts. "Break it up or I'm calling the cops!"
One of them grabs Dante's shirt and slams him back against the wall and leans in close. His breath smells like cheap beer and cigarettes.
"I don't want to see you here again," he growls, "got it?"
Dante nods and the man lets him go. He slides down the wall and slumps to the ground. The group heads off to their car, and the stranger who intervened walks over to check on him.
"You need me to call someone for you?"
That voice...
"Shit, he's not breathing. Hey, are you o...kay..."
He comes to a halt beside Dante and crouches down. Dante lifts his head and is met with a familiar pair of amber eyes.
"Dante?"

Loki's not stuck in pain and suffering while sitting on his throne
This may be controversial but I have some opinions on Loki's sacrifice and the way most people reacted to it
Like, I get people being sad bc he's techically alone but at the same time I think there was a bit of a overreaction in general about his situation, I think this has to do with the fact that I don't see Loki as a regular person anymore but as a omniscient powerfull ancient being who is beyond our understanding and who experiences time in a very diferrent way than the rest of the mortals of the timelines
People say that he's trapped there forever alone and I'm like... no he isn't...
The finale made us think that that was a very final and definitive moment but imo there's no way in hell he's not coming back to us, especially with marvel struggling with their new stories in this saga, he's not only one of the most popular characters ever but his show is literally one of the - if not the most - marvel show, they know he's popular as fuck and that people would lose their minds seeing him in the movies again and I'm so sure he's coming back, and to whomever doubts it bc in the finale he was shown holding everything together so he can leave that tree:
Literally everything is possible in fictional stories lol, it's so easy for them to create an escape, a loophole, a way to free him without threatening the safety of the multiverse, that's not a worry for me, not in the slightest
Coming back to what this post was originally supposed to be:
Don't feel so bad for Loki and his loneliness bc he literally has the whole multiverse on his hands, Tom already talked about how he's watching and taking care of the ones he loves so I think he just doesn't project himself and talks to them bc he simply doesn't want to
He doesn't want to interfere with the lives of the people living in the multiverse bc his purpose is to give them their freedom and that's what he's doing, he choses to stay isolated and he has no problem with it bc he's on another level spiritually and mentally, Isaac Bauman said it himself:
Tumblr media
Loki's not longer a regular being, he's an ancient force giving life to everything in existence and he's not crying or getting desperate or anything, ofc I think he's sad bc he just wanted to be with his friends in the first place, but he understands that this is for the better, honestly I think he just keeps wacth, seeing millions of lives unfolding in front of him, seeing all the paths his variants take across the multiverse, epic stories, epic adventures and literally everything in existence, when he leaves the tree eventually (I'm convinced this will happen) he'll have so many stories to share, so many wisdom to offer (Eric Martin said he's basically the wisest being in existence now and I love that so much), everything will be so exciting for us and for him
But ofc there's people that are desperate bc they know that their ship is likely not coming back (And I say this about both ships), I can see Mobius returning but that doesn't mean they'll be canon, even if Loki ends up this saga with his found family like I want him to (the same applies for sylvie)
Anyway, I just think there's no need for hysteria, Loki is not going insane bc of his loneliness (HWR spent god knows how long isolated in the citadel and he seemed fine when we saw him for the first time and yes ik Loki's mobility is way more reduced than his but I still think he's fine, he's a god, not some ordinary desperate human, he's fine)
He's taking care of his loved ones and when he comes back to us it will be so fucking exciting!!!

Namor x vampire soulmate
Tumblr media
"What if Namor’s soulmate was a vampire? How would he react?"
Request by anon || Thank you for the request!! I love it :) :)
First part is a bit of backstory, the rest is gonna be like how I write my headcanons.
---
Namor had always wondered who his soulmate would be. Maybe they were like him? Or maybe a surface dweller he was bound to meet sooner or later. He never knew his soulmate would be a vampire.
When you had met, he was forced to go on land. He'd had to make a deal with people from millennia ago that only resided on land. This was around the 1900's when partying was at it's peak and tales of vampires were passed around like old ghost stories.
Namor nears the 'meeting place', wanting to get the meeting over and done. He walks past an alleyway...then that's when he feels it. A feeling washes over him, one he has never felt before. So he decides to look down an alleway to see who, or what, is behind this.
That's when he sees someone crouched over, feeding on someone. It's hard to make everything out, as the alleyway is dimly lit, so he decides to approach.
He knows he should leave...but doesn't. Part of him wants to, but the other part is more interested in you, the person that's making him feel this way. 'they're a vampire' he thinks, moving closer. That's when he stops, having noticed you stop, then you turn to look at him.
Your bloodshot eyes staring into his, the cloak you wear covering part of your face. Confused, but more-so cautious, you wipe your mouth and stand, though you don't walk over to him.
"Who are you?"
Bringing your hand behind you, you grip onto the dagger in your back pocket.
"I mean you no harm." he holds up his hands, "...I am Namor. I am here simply for a meeting but I was...intrigued with you."
He's very straightforward, you note. Unsure still, you remain holding onto the dagger, ready to attack if he were to try anything.
"What are you doing here?”
He feels it again. This time, stronger, leaving him more puzzled.
That’s when you freeze, and you mimic the expression he holds. The cogs in your brain start going together, until it clicks, and the words that should come out, don’t.
For Namor, it takes a bit longer to click for him. When it does, he’s left speechless, only able to stare at you with disbelief.
They’re my soulmate?
He’s my soulmate?
-
Skip to now, and you’re living + married to him.
-
-As you're underwater, it's hard to die from the sun. Though he still does block out the windows to make sure.
-Finds ways for you to feed:
If you don't feed on humans anymore, then he'll get you animals to feed on. Or whatever you usually need to feed.
If you do still feed on humans, he'll take you out whenever you need to eat.
-As you only sleep during the day, you're up during the night. During this time you'll usually occupy your time.
-You like watching Namor as he sleeps. Not in a creepy way, more in a protective way.
-For so long you’d wondered about your soulmate.
-People could only dream of meeting theirs, though some have never been able to. So you’re beyond happy that you’re one of the ones who found theirs.
-As he can sleep, you wonder what it's like. It's been so long since you've slept, and you'd be lying if you said you didn't miss it sometimes.
-Plus being awake when he isn't means warning him if anything were to happen.
There was one time when you had nearly killed Namor.
-You had been infected with something that made you feral. When Namor had tried to help you, you'd thrown him against the wall.
-It wasn't until you were 'cured' and fully snapped back to reality that you spent so long hating yourself.
Even though he let you know that it wasn't your fault.
-
-Namor had made you a new coffin when you moved there.
-You'd told him you hadn't had the chance to fix yours up, as it had been kind of falling apart, so he came up with the idea to make you a new one.
-The coffin is one of your favorite things now.
-
-You know you'll be together for a while, as Namor ages slow, while you are immortal. However as you are immortal [unless you were to be killed] you worry a lot about being alone once he's gone.
-You're grateful for the time you do have together, though.
-
-It feels as if you’ve known eachother longer than you have. Which you find fitting.
-Everything is just perfect, just fits right. The universe had brought you to one another, decided that it was time for you both to meet.
-You can never describe how lucky you are to have found your soulmate.
-K’uk’ulkan loves that despite everything, you have continued to be with him. To love him. As nothing else matters, as he knows that your his person.
-You love that you have found your person. Through everything, through the many years of being alive, you have someone- your soulmate- who just means the world.
-Means more than you can comprehend
-Namor never thought he could love anyone so intensely, until you.
Oh how you feel the same for him.

"If you stare into the abyss, the abyss stares back at you"
CW: spoilers for ch. 236, 237 and S2 - Shibuya arc
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Heaven/hell, enlightenment/darkness, life/death, good/evil, blue/red contrasts that all represent the contrast between Gojo/Geto that's been going on since the start of this season; but these images are interesting for one more reason imo.
It's as if Gojo is staring into Geto/Kenjaku's red soul, while also staring into the empty black hole that is himself - and Geto/Kenjaku is doing the same: staring into Gojo's eye, but empty darkness stares back at him. They look into their own reflections, but they only see an abyss staring back at them.
And this made me realise how similar Gojo and Kenjaku can actually be, because: who are they?
"Are you Gojo Satoru because you are the strongest or are you the strongest because you are Gojo Satoru?"
And, again:
"Who is Gojo Satoru?"
Gojo's curse (and ultimately what may have really brought him to his death), is the fact he never managed to find a definitive answer to Geto's terribly haunting questions: Gojo never created his own sense of self beyond being The Strongest Sorcerer and that's what always kept a certain degree of distance between him and the other people (even if he cared about them, and I'm not doubting this at all); Gojo remained as untouchable and unreachable inside his Infinite Void of loneliness, and he died alone on the battlefield just as he lived alone, being watched from afar by other "normal" sorcerers. The only real connection peer to peer he ever made was with Geto when they were still on the same level, and he kept that connection even after Geto's homicidal turn and death, and that's why Geto is so special to him, as he was the only one to breach through the barrier around Gojo and to eventually expose how Gojo always risked to be a sort of empty shell, an abyss, under the layers of strenght - and it seems Geto was right.
So now I'm asking: who is Kenjaku?
He too doesn't seem to have a real bond (aside from the old friendship with Tengen...which needs more explanation) a real partner he cares about genuinely, only ever using the temporary allies he makes (like Mahito&Co); not even Sukuna looks like this to me, since he regards Uraume as a valuable ally, even if far below his strenght level. Kenjaku kept changing bodies for centuries, living so many different lives while also keeping his own very specific personality and his very clear goal of human forced evolution...so it seems he's not an empty abyss like Gojo.
But who's beneath all of that?
If you take away the weird brain-exchanging technique, which is Kenjaku's strenght just like the Six Eyes+Limitless were to Gojo, what is left?
Is Kenjaku a real soul or the product of all those endless souls he got to know, see, appropriate, use during his very long life? What if by merging with the (apparently) only friend he has, Tengen, to then merge with humanity to force its evolution, he actually wants to experience the feeling of not being alone? (it would be a sort of Evangelion ending lol)
Gojo wore the mask of The Strongest, The Chosen One, The Honoured One for his whole life (except for the spring of his youth spent with Geto - and when he goes south, when he dies, he goes back to that time when he really felt he was someone), but there was nothing under the mask; so what if under all of these lives, these bodies which are masks too, Kenjaku is another empty, dark abyss? What if it could lead to his downfall, just like it did for Gojo?
One more thing: in ch 236, Gojo basically says he wasn't satisfied because Geto wasn't there with him too, meaning he still felt alone even in the company of his students and other allied sorcerers. I think another way to express this concept is to say Gojo's only regret is that he was alone, without Geto. Gojo regretted not having Geto, who was a symbol of a happier time outside that abyss of loneliness, but now they're together and Gojo has gone back to his old happier self.
And Kenjaku too speaks of regret, as he talks about not remembering anymore what even is regret...is he so deeply buried under all the masks he wore in his long life, he doesn't remember anymore what regret and loneliness are?
Is there a way to "go south" for Kenjaku? Is there even a south (and old self) he can go back to?
Tumblr media Tumblr media
And the theme of identity, of being someone beyond mere strenght is brought into the story again by Kashimo basically asking Sukuna the same thing Geto asked Gojo in Shinjuku (even though Kashimo feels more like Sukuna, alone at the pinnacle of strenght, contrary to Geto who felt as if he was watching Gojo, the strongest alone, from below).
Tumblr media Tumblr media
I'm very curious to see what these two characters will do in the next chapters, and if finding "love" will mean abandoning the status of The Strongest Alone for Sukuna, and a potential defeat, and maybe even "going south" (that little drop of possible Sukuna backstory ... Akutami feed us!!!)

no wait so what would happen for a monster AU is that while still training in the City Benze gets selected to be a member of an elite experiment — he's already shown himself willing to go out on limbs, applying for residency at the research hospital instead of a proper surgical residency, already tested things on himself when he thought no one was looking (they're always watching) — that goes wrong. and he's the only one who survives and it's because he turned on the rest. so he runs, like he does in every universe, muttering something about starlight and coffins, blood and bite wounds. he's not quite human anymore.
but the elite selection wasn't the only batch of test subjects. another test, the original even, was done on a group of captives, dissidents from the slums and 'Joys brought in from the Zones. instead of just Drac'ing them and being done with it, BLI employed them in their biological weapons program. the entire point of this was to create a living breathing force of enforcers. but it went wrong the whole way down. the first as the last time, only one survivor in the group who got away. it seems to be a theme. that survivor was a desert-born Killjoy who called himself Sandman, and back to the sand with fangs and blood on his hands he went.
when Benzedrine found himself in the desert he also found himself found by Sandman, a creature of the night, rumored to be some kind of spirit haunting the desert looking for vengeance. older 'Joys call him a vampire. what he's actually looking for is a way out for an old friend.
(I think this is gonna end up being just a vampire AU)
Donnie, as in my mainline AU, was caught and turned into a Draculoid. Sandman's theory is that turning him, like all the old vampire stories people like to pass down like folk tales, would undo that. he's just gotta find the guy first, and the masks don't really help. he finds Benzedrine at some point and there's almost an instant telepathy between them. not like, mind-reading, but these senses that they can predict what each other is thinking a split second before they say it out loud. they recognize each other as The Same Kind Of Monster. so they stick together. they both think the other is totally weird but like whatever, they're the most Other things in this desert so what else are they gonna do?
Benzedrine is the more ruthless when it comes to feeding but Sandman finds it easier. he's been out here longer. he's more willing. Benze fights it until he's in a frenzy and then tries to analyze it, figure out what precisely the physiological alterations to them that have been done are, because if he doesn't perform clinical about it he will lose all control. he's constantly teetering on the edge of going full feral vampire, whereas Sandman is chill about it, accepts it (except for in the long days when he can't sleep and he wonders what it means to be human). they're monsters, the both of them
and they're trying to add another to their ranks.
Benze is against purposefully turning someone else. Sandman needs to test his theory. there's another theme there. these kind of tests never end well.
except this one does.
Benze refuses to participate. he will feed but he will not turn someone else (until he does, in fascination, but that's another story for another time that certainly can't end well. there's mercy killing involved at that point.). so Sandman does it and pulls the mask off his former best friend and daydream mechanic, suffering from sudden whiplash as BLI programming is overwritten by vampirism. Donnie doesn't speak for nearly two weeks. it's pretty much withdrawals. and at some point they've gotta find someonething to eat.
enter one H. Shoe Crab, Esq. Donnie's cousin, a vague acquaintance of Sandman's, and the cat about to be killed by curiosity. what can he say, he spent a year tailing Dr. Death Defying's radio crew and pestering the hell out of Cherri Cola and ended up with a fascination for research and radio interviews. 'course, he can't write so it took him a while to find a working tape recorder, but now occasionally he's a source for the radio crew (whenever Cherri isn't belligerently refusing to take the offer of fresh content. they've literally had petty beef for years this is my comic relief subplot lol). he's way too curious for his own good and at some point decides to track down his old acquaintance, Mr. Sandman, former golden child of the crash track and current desert cryptid.
Crabby boy stumbles into the other three's """lair""" (as in my main 'verse, it's an abandoned firehouse, bc I find the layout and designs of those places a super fun setting to have characters hang out in skskskfjs) one day and is met with three sets of should-be normal eyes that flash red in the light. after a LONG, CHAOTIC explanation (mostly done by Sandman, because Benze is Confused™️ and Donnie is not having a fun time getting yelled at by his cousin who thought he was dead) Crab just. makes himself at home. he's like ok so two out of the three of y'all I have history with so obviously we're a crew now. so what you're all weird failed experiment vampires that's fun we should hang out. who's the nervous little guy in the corner? (the nervous little guy in the corner is, of course, Benze, who has all the ferocity of one of those little fluffy dogs with needle teeth)
(Crab is SUCH a little shit in this AU I'm so serious. I haven't had a chance to play with that side of him in my main stream of writing but part of that is because my dude is VOCAL. like he's not mute in this version and he's making that everyone else's problem fr. he's still lowkey a voice of reason at the same time though in some ways though, just... also a total TWERP. let's just say there's a reason Cherri Cola has beef with him)
so I'm thinking if I write this it would be four separate short intro pieces on each character that start out with individual backstories and lead into them all meeting and becoming a crew. it takes a while to figure out the collective dynamic, but once they do they're unerringly loyal and absolutely dedicated to each other. found family at its peak with three vampires and their human buddy/one reasonably normal human and his three vampire besties who are all in some form of existential crisis at all times
none of them want to feed on Crab bc he's THEIR PERSON but also. for added angst potential?
it might become necessary someday
