Prowlbee or Blitzbee

I knew i'd see you in my ask box sooner of later~

The hibernation protocol is like stasis but it gets into action automatically when it gets cold. Let's say like, late autumn- Bee will get cold but still function normally til mid-November, but after that his Hibernation Protocol will kick in and he'll eat more and move slower and after one week of it working he'll get all cozy in berth with multiple blankets and just snooze. Not even the plant's alarm will wake him up.

The first time his protocol kicked in everyone was worried cuz Bee was- well, not acting like Bee! Then they went into panic cuz Bee disappeared and there was no trace of him. Only 2 days later Ratchet found him sleeping under one of the boilers they had(the only one working at that time) with a blanket. Still, he had to shake him awake cuz he would not wake up to him calling. Panic might have been eased but still they were hella worried about him, Prowl goes in every morning to check on Bee snoozing in his room with blankets and heaters so he wouldn't crawl into some weird space again, others check in whenever they pass by his room, Ratchet comes to do a scan around noon everyday until Bee is waking up and being active again in late February. Still there was no way Sari wouldn't have woken him up for Christmas- she did succed because she jumped on him while blasting an air-horn to his audial. She does this every time before Christmas. And the others scold her everytime for it.... Bee doesn't mind as much, he likes spending time with his team. Honestly he'd be sad if he missed Christmas with them. Sari also wakes him up on Valentines Day.

ProwlBee: Prowl would essentially move in with Bee and spend his free time with him, cuddling and meditating as he listens to Bee's slow vents.

BlitzBee: Blitz lives with Bee in his room so of course he's gonna act as an additional heater for his hummel- he just lays next to him and wraps his arms and legs around the big Bee-rrito and snoozes too. He wakes up around noon and goes to bed very late. (habit from his decepticon days) Most of the time he stays in berth with Bee just napping and cuddling or sits by him sculpting.

Now onto wings! I imagine seekers/fliers would use their wings to attract or impress a potential mate. Insecticons do the same. Of course, there was no way Bee could do it before he went into the cocoon. So after Bee hatches and has those features showing, he will defo do unintentional displays for his beloved:

If ProwlBee: Prowl has knowledge about animals- and insecticons now that there was the deal with the cocoon- so he knows Bee is doing it to impress him. Which there is no need for, but damn it's working.

If BlitzBee: Blitz is half-seeker, he knows the whole ordeal with seekers trying to impress potential sparkmates with their wings. He's done the same with Bee, even if Bee didn't realize. Bee's wings are the most beautiful ones he's ever seen, and when Bee spreads them out and flutters them so they sparkle- Sweet Primus, he's so smitten. He will also flutter his own wings, Bee has a strange feeling about them- like they're the most impressive part of Blitz.

And i know what you want- i saved it for last. And a reminder that i do not write transformers the "usual" way: here is my version of how they do the interfacing.

Spoiler just in case: NSFW, alien biology

So, you have the normal transformers junk written out in the post i linked. Insecticons have it a bit differently as you imagine. Although for Bee it is mixed cuz he is not full Insecticon like Waspinator or Blackarachnia.

Insecticons, for all i could come up with, have a hidden slot under their abdomens(back thingy). So they do the deed the normal, sexual way. That slot is also a way for eggs to come out so the larva can hatch.

Bee also has that slot. Now interfacing is a little bit tricky- he still interfaces with his sparkmate(Blitz or Prowl) like regular transformers would. But everytime it happens he has to have a rag or towel wrapped around his abdomen cuz that slot gets kinda leaky when they get kinky...

So a normal cybertronian would have 4 tendrils and 1 reproductive strut. I imagine that because Bee's biology has changed slightly, he only has 2 tendrils and 1 reproductive strut. And while transformers can release the reproductive strut on command- insecticons? eeh not really. So it's often hard to see which wire is coming out of where cuz the fluff on his belly keeps poofing up due to static and blocking the view- Bee has to put gel in it to keep it down. While the tendrils and the reproductive strut can't really intertwine or else whoops, Bee and his partner can still play with it.

If you're asking for kinks then there's the feeding kink, wing kink, glossa kink(?), biting kink and i don't know what else. The tendrils themselves are kinky enough to play with i guess. I mostly write for BlitzBee so yeh, i dunno what Prowl would be into.

I had a very funny not-canon-to-this-AU scenario in my head earlier;

So Blitz and Bee decide to get funky now that Bee is different and see if there is some new kinks to discover... They did the deed once.

The following days Bee is feeling odd, he's not as energetic and he can't retch up honey to give to Blitzy as a treat.

At some point Prowl gets concerned and tells him to go to Ratchet for a scan, Blitz goes with him. So they do the scan and Ratchet literally just stares at the result image with wide optics and semi-scared expression.

The next thing everyone in the plant hears is a scream accompanied by a loud metallic thud.

So turns out, because Bee's biology changed- he got sparked. (they got all confused which wire is which, whoops.)

Oh, and did i forgot to mention? Insecticons can have up to 20 larva per brood.

Lucky that Bee is only part-insecticon so he ended up having 8 Newsparks in him... which they ended up terminating cuz there is no way they would be able to handle it.

Yeah... Blitz and Bee interface rarely now in fear of it happening again. They still get kinky sometimes, you don't have to have direct contact to have fun.

Altering the non-canon scenario: If Bee did keep them, his other insecticon protocol would kick in- similar to how he was unaware when he was making a cocoon, Bee essentially becomes kind of feral and builds a small hive/nest in the basement. There was a storage room no one ever went into so it was a perfect place. So he disappears and nobody knows where he is until Prowl hears something when he's in the basement and finds Bee hissing and a pile of insecticon eggs in the hive-nest. Once the littles hatch he goes back to normal, dw.

The way Bee having eggs would happen; Newsparks incubate in the Sparkchamber but then get moved to a special compartment in his abdomen where eggs get formed around them and they get laid. Then like normal insecticons, Bee would cover them with honey that the eggs absorb nutriens from and the Sparkling-larva is growing, just like what Bee is after the cocoon. Then once they hatch they still eat the honey until they can eat solid food and energon. Then later on they also cocoon themselves.

I'm getting way too scientific with this, geez.

The high-pitched shriek Hardshell aims at the approaching Insecticon causes his spike to pulse inside them. Their mouth is busy chasing after the smaller set of mandibles gripping the sides of their face, teeth weakly scraping at the metal, hips bucking ever so slightly. Their hands move from the thick neck and grab at the hinges at the back of the larger mandibles, tugging Hardshell closer with a whine.

“Stop that.”

His visor focuses on them once more, the harsh red glow of it dimming.

“I must make my claim first,” Hardshell’s helm lowers, teeth pressing against their neck in imitation of a kiss, mandibles caressing their cheeks. “Our Queen deserves only the best.”

A smile tugs at the corners of their mouth when they look up at him with big eyes, lips forming into a pout.

“And can you really say you’re the best?”

A surprised scream is torn out of them when his clawed fingers grip their waist, squeezing hard when he pushes more of himself inside of them. They can’t speak around the long tongue that forces its way down their throat. They furrow their brow at the taste of dust and the tang of energon he produced for them earlier in the day. He came with the rest of the Insecticons after their most recent mission, nearly knocking down the wall to their chambers in his hurry to attend to the needs of his Queen.

His.

Oh, the way his engine ticks and rumbles when he hisses at them makes their core throb. They can feel three clawed fingers edging closer, but this time Hardshell moved away, his wings fanning out for the challenger to see; he thrusts deeper, the lower part of his spike expanding and extending. The thin ovipositor sliding its way inside of them, penetrating as deep as possible.

His tube-like tongue withdraws and they’re left panting as a thick droplet of the sweet, pink energon slides down their chin.

“I will prove it to you, My Queen.”

They can feel the round, surprisingly cool eggs making their way inside them. Their thighs clench from the speed at which the eggs are pushed in. Just as they’re starting to adjust and enjoy the sensation, even starting to rock themself to make him feel good, Hardshell fully withdraws. They make a questioning, needy noise, and his mandibles click in amusement. The clawed fingers of the other Insecticon are already running over their chest, spike fully extended and weeping transfluid; the ovipositor bulges with the shimmering marble-looking eggs.

“I will let the rest of your hive show you how well we can please you,” and he takes the position at the door, guarding them and those he deemed worthy to be in their presence. The newcomer buzzes and whistles in inquiry, the visor half focused on Hardshell. Instead of using words, they let out a long note that without a doubt lets him know that the Queen is in need. In no time at all, the newcomer’s spike – thinner, but nearly as long as his ovipositor – starts penetrating them. His pace is shaky and barely restrained, if the claws shredding the soft material of the pillows under them is any indicator. They can feel the eggs rolling inside of them, the muffled clinking of the glasslike outer layer sending shivers down their spine.

Once again, it feels too soon for the spike to leave them. They aren’t empty for long, however, with a shorter, thicker spike taking over and setting a shallow pace; they aren’t sure at first if their walls are clenching around a spike or an oddly shaped ovipositor. It doesn’t matter in the end, as they feel hot transfluid coating their insides, turning the stretch and discomfort into heightened sensations of need and craving. Their arms turn numb, legs kicking weakly as they pant. Their eyes roll back with waves upon waves of pleasure. Vision turning blurry, they breathe short moans every time a new spike enters them, and more eggs are left inside.

The rhythm itself is almost like waves. The caress of mandibles on their body, the claws running over their hair, their lips wrapping around a tongue filling their mouth with nectar, sliding more eggs down their throat. Their knees are maneuvered so there are spikes grinding through their openings, valves riding the tops of their knees; their hands are wrapped around two other spikes, fingertips twitching against the sensitive mix of organic and metal mesh. Their upper body is lifted by the spikes of two soldiers using their armpits, the insides of the elbows, the space where their neck slumps to their shoulder, slowly rocking into any opening their Queen has to offer.

They feel their orgasm near, almost reaching its peak before they’re empty again. Their lovers change places and crowd around them, the heat of their bodies not enough to soothe the ache when there isn’t a spike stretching them.

Each time it feels like they’re left empty for too long, still not full enough of eggs to be satisfied. The hissing of the whole hive and the sensation of anticipating, excited fields bouncing against the outsides of their chamber makes their heart swell and their sex throb again, fiercer, nearly painfully when a spike exists them and there is no one next in line to fill them. Their eyes open, their mouth clicking demandingly. They feel their head being turned by a pair of scratched mandibles, a tube tongue playing at their lips. They suck at it, drinking and responding to the clicking above them with their teeth gently nibbling at the appendage in their mouth.

Once they’re done, the tongue withdraws and they look down on themself, giggles spilling from their mouth. All of their bedding and themself are drenched in a sticky mix of transfluid and nectar, valve and oral lubricants, their cum, and the aphrodisiac that the Insecticons kept pumping into them alongside the eggs. They aim a loopy grin up at Hardshell’s scarred faceplate. His visor soothingly pulses at them, prompting them to lay back down. Their face is gripped by his smaller mandibles and they open their mouth, tongue languidly licking at his fangs, insisting for them to open for more of the delicious nectar waiting inside. Instead the familiar, just right stretch of Hardshell’s spike fills them, his ovipositor doing most of the moving, prompting shaky, breathless pleas and praise from their mouth.

“Our Queen,” the metal sound of chimes and bells echo throughout their chambers as Hardshell’s faceplate nuzzles against their forehead, “half of your hive has pleased you so far.” His spike rocks into them, and they eventually register the transfluid entering them alongside the eggs. The hard glass marbles sink below the softened fertilized eggs. “Are they to your satisfaction?” He starts clicking at them, the noise urging and demanding a response.

They kiss his jaw and chirp a short command at him.

I need more.

The whole hive rumbles like distant thunder when more Insecticons displace their mass and enter the chamber.

They caress the back of Hardshell’s mandibles, tugging him closer and clicking demandingly.

Stay.

Everything afterwards is once again a blur of pleasure, never-ending waves of it, the content buzzing of their hive, all combined with the ticking and warmth of their mightiest warrior serving and tending to His Queen.

Transformers/Cybertronian Reproduction Part.2

This part goes more into the spark merging side of cybertronian reproduction and how it works with each cybertronian species. Sit down guys, gals, and non-binary pals because this one is gonna be looong.

Flyers

All flyers give birth to hard shelled eggs. Like Earth birds Flyers can only take so much weight before they can’t fly, so they make eggs and carry the newspark for only a fraction of the time other cybertronian species do.

After the carrier has been sparked they require A huge amount of transfluid donations during the first stages of carrying, this is because the first stages of the carrying process create the egg shell and all the nutrients required to make a protoform resting inside in A much shorter time period compared to the majority of cybertronian species that make the protoform in their Incubation Chambers alowing them to spread out their need for transfluid donations.

After the first stages the Flyer will lay a clutch, clutches usually being around 3 eggs, that will need to keep warm constantly. Flyers have cockpits that they keep the eggs in, like an incubator!!! This is one of the reasons Flyers bond or mate in trines. It’s easer to look after clutches and keep them all noice and toasty. Flyers will also nest up in higher places because less cybertronians can get to the eggs this way so there is less threatening them.

Grounders

Grounders give live birth. They carry the sparkling the whole incubation period and require transfluid donations throughout all but the end of the incubation time.

After getting sparked grounders will gradually get heavier and larger over their carrying period getting larger than Flyers, Floaters, and other egg laying cybertronians do because they form an entire protoform inside of themselves as opposed to eggs the sparklings will grow into or out of.

Grounders can transform through the entire incubation period except on rare occasions due to carrying 2 or 3 sparklings when and if they get to big. The farther down the incubation period the more notisable it is in both alt-modes. In their main mode they will develop A stomach bump and in their alt-mode their frame may ride closer to the ground and shift around turns, they generally look like they are vehicle carrying A heavy load.

Grounders have 1 to maybe 3 sparklings.

Floaters (boats & other water vehicles)

Floaters, like Flyers, have egg clutches but, and hear me out on this, the egg Clutches are soft like fish eggs and called pods!!

Unlike most other species floaters do not require direct transfluid donations, in fact if A floater cannot find A mate willing or able to donate transfluid they can reproduce successfully withought donations as long as they had a Spark Merge before hand! This is because Floaters are one of the few cybertronian species that can make a protoform outside of their bodies. Floaters will take a fraction of their food intake and create eggs on a timed basis (like a period but withought bleeding & cramps).

If the carrier dosen’t have a transfluid donation they will lay the eggs on the ocean surface for someone else to fertilize, the pod now becoming there priority, and the eggs withought a spark are eaten by other Floaters, Beastmoders, or any local wildlife looking for a snacc. Though in Floater culture if they come across a pod that they can take care of the eggs withough sparks are seen as a gift to the donor as a thank you. Eating the sparkless eggs withough taking care of the sparked ones in the pod on the other hand is considered heavy taboo.

If a Floater finds a mate they will gladly take transfluid donations from the Sire to make the sparkling more of both of them and when the eggs are laid the Floaters will either burry the eggs in/under a body of water or create a kiddie pool for the pod which they will watch over INTENSLY often marking that territory their own so others know to stay away of you’ll have to deal with an angy momma.

Floaters have 7-8 eggs per pod but only 2-4 will be sparked on average as to not give the parent or parents to much to handle.

Weapons

Weapon Alt-mode cybertronians also give live birth and make the protoform in the incubation chamber.

Weapon Alt-moders lose there ability to transform into their alt-modes very early on in the carrying process due to most weapon alt-modes being to thin to carry or having to shoot energon blasts at others taking away energy needed for the sparklings development and the carriers energy. Weapons also need constant transfluid donations to help build the sparklings protoform.

Weapons carying faze is one of the most looked down upon in cybertronian society when it happens (which is rare) because they are useless from very early on in the process and that doesn’t translate well in a society that determines your worth and job based on alt-mode. Weapons are sparked to be used and if they can’t be used for there purpose they are useless.

It is also very easy to see if a Weapon is carrying because the belly bulge is noticeable from very early on making carrying in secret a very hard thing to do.

Objects

These cybertronians transform into objects an example being Perceptor’s alt mode a microscope.

These cybertronians lay orbs, round spheres with hard shells, they look like the plastic balls vending machines give but smother and usualy one color. They also require constant transfluid donations to aid in building the protoform. What the carying period will be like is heavily dependent on what their alt mode is, generaly the thinner the alt mode is and more complicated it is to transform into will determine if the cybertronian can transform during the carrying period and for how long they will be able too.

When object cybertronians become sparked they will be more uncomfortable with others using them and or having others simply be around them, this is because others could be a threat and cybertronians with object alt modes have a harder time getting away from danger, flyers can fly away, grounders could drive, floaters could boat away, and weapons can slash and fire but objects can’t really do anything so it’s just better to stay away from the danger.

It is much easer for the larger of this species to hide being sparked because most of them don’t walk around very often making it less likely that others will see a baby bump if they get one. The only hard part about a object cybertronian hiding the fact that they are sparked is that they can’t give in to the urge to stay away form others like their coding wants them to.

Beastmoders

Not all beast moders are the same so the kind of birth they give will vary but the mental changes are usually all if your not close to me or my sparkmate keep away or I will maul you. All can transform when sparked no matter the stage.

Land Animals - Give live birth. Stay away from others and will hoard food. Most like Grounders or Objects carrying period.

Water animals - Like the Floaters soft shelled eggs. Will bury eggs and protect that area. Same as the Floaters carrying period.

Air animals - Like Flyers give birth to eggs and nest high. Same as Flyers carrying period.

These cybertronians were not an exception to the rules about reproducing by sparkbonding the Senate made but they were the most likely to disobey those laws.

Insecticons

Insecticons give birth to hard shelld eggs which are called hatchlings (individual) or a brood (multiple). Though insecticons do not make their own eggs like flyers, one insecticon will provide the eggs which they transfer into another cybertronian through an ovipositor and another will provide that egg filled cybertronian with transfluid. Insecticons actually require three cybertronians to reproduce a unique new cybertronian if there are only two the hatchling will come out a clone of the parent providing both the eggs and transfluid. This is probably due to the fact that insecticons gather in swarms or hives so the hive will be more connected since they mate in groups of three.

Insecticons if in need of new coding to pass on to the sparklings will get what they call a incubator or donners. They do this by asking other cybertronians if they would be willing to help carry their next brood or provide transfluid to those carrying. The hive will take donners to the carriers to provide transfluid and then set them on there way while the incubators are treated with much more hospitality. They are feed, kept full ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°), and happy because the hive knows if a carrier is upset it can risk the brood. After the carrier has laid they are given a bit to rest and then they either can stay to help raise the brood provided they hive thinks they will do good or leave.

An individual insecticon makes 3-7 eggs each time they mate.

Predacons (going of off TFPrime)

Predacons like Flyers give birth to eggs and will nest up high. Especially protective of there clutches and have 2-3 per clutch. Predacons also require constant transfluid donations.

They can transform at any stage of carrying like Beastmoders. Predacons will get a noticeable belly bump at the later stages of carrying because they are so big, making it harder to tell if they are sparked or not.

Predacons will stay in there Thunders when sparked and stay away from those they consider a threat while asserting dominance over those they see lower to tell them not to mess with me... like a high school bully but with fire breath :)

After laid there will always be at least one Predacon watching over the next depending on the size of the Thunder (group of dragons thought it would fit)

If there were to be a sparkling from two different cybertronian species the way the sparkling was born would depend on who’s carrying. Ex. if a Flyer were to carry A Floaters newspark the Egg would be hard-shelled or if a Floater carried a Grounders newspark they would be soft-shelled.

All Cybertronians, no matter the species, can have more than two parents. This is possible because transfluid gives the protoform coding making polyarmorus relationships just as common as monogamous ones in the cybertronian race.

Starscream felt like his helm was swimming as the creature began to sing to him. The seeker felt any need to leave the nest erase from his mind. He needed to stay, he needed the hive to protect him and the future sparklings.

The Sparkling Almanac (Transformers)

This is an opinionated almanac of sparklings. If you disagree with some of the facts, I understand and I will not force these down your throat as being true. If afterwards you wish to add your own facts in the comment section, feel free too. Hell, even add your OC's sparkling facts too. I will read them no matter what. :)

What most didn’t know was that Transformers had the ability to lay eggs at will if the environment or time wasn’t right for having sparklings. That put the babies in a type of stasis that could only be awoken by their creators. No one else could awake them. Every other circumstance could simply let the creators have a live birth in which the child would automatically be alert and alive completely. It was a strange reproductive concept that shocked many other aliens.

How did the Transformers tell whose eggs were whose? Scent, always scent because the scent of the eggs is imprinted in their processors as soon as they deliver the sparklings and vice versa when the sparklings are out and about. In fact, sparklings are similar to animal babies for they have the ability to know that they should never stray far from their parents and also to go to said parents if they sense danger or something unknown. They have surprisingly excellent tracking senses which can allow them to return to their creators if they get lost. But that’s another story entirely.

A clutch of two or more were very common among the different species and subspecies of Transformers as well who decided to lay eggs instead of live birth. Live birth usually produced no more than five sparklings due to the fact that they required a much larger growth than that of sparklings being delivered in eggs, which grew within the eggs even after carriage. The bigger the carrier, the more eggs that could be created and housed with no problems.

Minicons were the only exception to the rule of bigger equals more as their litters ranged from five to ten offspring. Why this was so probably had to do with the size of the sparklings or “Teacup Minicons” as some humans referred to them as. The name itself implied they were born relatively small, about the size of a Pomeranian puppy and stayed this way a good period of time even longer than other species of Transformers.

Now the “common” sized Transformers whom ranged from a little smaller than Arcee to about as big as Tigressa (Megatron stands at her waistline) have the capability to produce as many as twelve per litter depending on the combination of mechs and femmes (remember, same frame-type “gender” relationships are most common). For instance if Arcee and Megatron had sparklings in egg form, there’s a good chance the maximum might be four since the sparklings would grow quite big even when in eggs. Her body would know the limit it could take before internal damage to her reproductive organs would be inevitable.

Predacons and Dinobots could have about six to ten eggs, including when they mate with others not from their subspecies. Though the egg size wouldn’t be as massive, their CNA would most likely be the dominant type. Their babies will always be born in their alt. modes first and stay in their forms for up to a couple months before their t-cog begins to work. In which case, the adults will stay in their own alt. modes with their babies until the latter are ready to learn how to transform.

Insecticons lay up to fifteen to twenty eight eggs per clutch and they only stay pregnant for two months whereas Minicons take eight months, vehicle-based Cybertronians take about six to eight months (depending on their size), and the beast mode-based Cybertronians take about three to five months. The Insecticons are notorious for getting pregnant a day after giving birth continuously. The more, the better as they would tell you.

Titan class Transformers, ranging from Ghost (slightly larger than Tigressa) to almost Omega Supreme’s chest, have been proven to be not very compatible with live births but may still be able to do so though eggs are the normal method. It’s enormously rare for types like combiners to give birth at all though. For combiners like Devastator, three of the component mechs have to be impregnated by a member (or members) of the same combiner and fuse very often for the said combiner to transfer its eggs into one chamber. After that, the combiner cannot defuse until the egg sack is complete, which takes about a month or two, and gives birth directly afterwards. Said egg sack will contain at least ten to thirty eggs estimated.

Sentinel class Transformers who range from Omega Supreme or higher height very rarely give birth at all. When Theta Supreme became pregnant by Beta Supreme, he apparently gave birth like any other common sized Transformer but he remained pregnant for a year and five months implying Sentinel sparklings take lots of time to develop. As it turns out, their sparklings are bigger than Lugnut who towers over both Optimus and Megatron by thirteen feet. That was a Supreme sized sparkling; you want to find out how big Metroplex’s sparklings will be?

Now live sparklings were interesting: it turns out the sparklings learn how to walk and run on all fours within the first weak as crawling irritates them. They learn to walk on two legs (if designed to do so) within a month or two. It was quite common actually for a sparkling to try and flee to their parents directly after being born if held by someone they don’t recognize the scent to.

Another little fact was their sight. Their optics can open within the first minute of being delivered but they won’t be able to see clearly until a few hours later. In this case, they rely on scent, touch, and sound to get them past obstacles if they’re even allowed to wander. Unlike human children, they can be left unattended because they would either respond by following their creators or navigating somewhere to play or rest. On instinct, they won’t have any real motivation to explore unless prompted to do so.

A curious as they can be, stupid they are not. At their young age, they can sense electrical currents and know immediately not to go near it or if possible go around it. If they stray from their creators and come across another Transformer or an unknown entity, they will stay still and wait for the figure to move so they’ll know whether to run away and use a noise they imprinted on their parents to let them know if they are frightened or to just keep a watchful eye on the entity and go about their business. If lost, the same noise can be used for creators to track their sparklings for long distances.

Temper tantrums were coincidently extremely rare. If they don’t get what they want, they’ll often look for something else to do or get and come back to their original desire later. If hurt, they do not cry out but rather grow stubborn and less responsive to whomever or whatever hurt them, often ditching that person or thing for another.

The only temper tantrum they truly have is agitation which can be brought forth through their creators. If their creators are angry at something or someone, the sparkling will sense this and become aggressive towards the same thing. Sometimes creators have to pull back their babies from trying to engage the problem head on. This is also a mimic in personality the sparkling can develop overtime, making it more likely for a sparkling to have similar personas to their creators’.

These apply to all Transformer sparklings, including the Pomeranian puppy-sized Teacup Minicons whom look a bit less intimidating than their larger fellow sparkling friends.

Now Sentinel based sparklings do something most others do not: they cling to the bodies (often the backside) of one of their creators. The only other sparkling types to do this are simian based (Kanjian) techno-organics and speedster based (Velocitronian). The latter must do so because their parents travel at high speeds, a power the sparklings don’t develop until they are five months of age.

There are aquatic mermaid based techno organic sparklings that will beach themselves for extensive periods of time when sensing danger or their creator (practically all Kanjian Leviathans are femmes and are believed to reproduce asexually or through their Queen) believes there is trouble between a subspecies below the water and doesn’t want the sparkling to be a part of it. Beaching doesn’t affect them as they don’t need water to breathe. They also have two to four arms depending on the type.

Some Kanjian dragon sparklings, specifically the Titan Class Ridgeback (Demon’s breed) and Razorback, are able to use fire breath directly after birth and yes, there are reports of valves being burned during a sparkling’s exit of the womb. Speaking of the Ridgeback, half of any litter born to at least one Ridgeback creator will be half Ridgeback…as in half of the total number of sparklings will always be full blooded Ridgeback and look extremely similar to the Ridgeback parent as well as the same “gender”. Unless the two creators are both Ridgebacks in which then the coloring and “gender” is random. Why this is this way is unknown.

All flight based sparklings can learn to fly within three to six months after birth depending on the size and type of creators. The only exception to this is the Sentinel class as they can only fly in vehicle mode until they are fully grown. But fair warning, this is one of the few abilities that must be taught by the creator as it does not come naturally to the sparkling for a very long period of time.

Like some human children and animals, sparklings can detect spiritual energy not seen by adults unless said adult is lucky, has a gift, or is one of the spiritual based entities found on Kanjis whose powers are spirit related. Ghost in most infamous for this, being the guardian of the Underworlds of many planets as well as their dead. Anyways, sparklings will notify that there is something there but will treat it like another unknown Transformer or creature in which case it will either flee or watch closely to see what it does. These spirits rarely scare sparklings even if some are demonic.

Now a note about sparkling diets: most sparklings, sans lava class and acid class, can devour practically anything which can be a shocking sight at times. Unlike other baby digestive systems, their stomachs are actually not sensitive. In fact the older they get, the more sensitive it becomes. This can prove deadly for others as some like Dinobot and Kanjian sparklings might get it in their head to attack and eat others after seeing how their parents hunt (other Transformers mainly). There have been cases of cannibalism among them too though mostly seen in Kanjian class and Cybertronian class monsters like the Cybertronian Predator (around the time of the Thirteen/in stasis/distinctive primal relative to the Kanjian Ridgeback/nigh invulnerable/high intellect but cannot speak) and the Kanjian Frilled Dinobot (all terrain hunter/lacks ability to transform/CNA relative to Grimlock).

Sparklings can sleep up to nine to eleven hours a day but not in one go until they get older. Like cats though, they can sleep ANYWHERE in any position no less! They also love to bathe in sunlight as well, so watch your feet please as they might be found on the floor with their favorite toy in the sunny shadow of a window. Waking a sparkling isn’t the best idea as they tend to become very moody to the point where they can try and bite you if you reach out to handle them. Let them wake themselves.

If the cat subject is still a go, might be worth mentioning that they are extremely flexible and can sneak through small openings quite easily. Of course, their endoskeleton isn’t fully developed yet so is much more malleable than an adult’s.

Lava based sparklings will act similar to the Leviathan based though vice versa methods. When sensing danger, the sparkling will submerge under lava flows and lakes until deemed safe to reemerge. They will stick their heads out of the lava to check. They don’t know this yet but nothing can strike them while they are in the high heated liquid but instincts are instincts after all. They also have a diet of rock, yellow Energon (a high heated or “spicy” Energon that is deadly to all but fire based as it burns internal organs), and sometimes vegetation nearby during the colder seasons.

Acid based (native to Junkion only) sparklings have only been seen once and their creator was an acid mutant who everyone believes asexually reproduced. From what was studied, this type is indestructible in terms of explosions, gun fire, and predatory assaults. Being part acid, the sparklings can get into anything and severely harm anyone if picked up in which they will cover their entire body in acid as a defense mechanism. This is a pity because they do seem very friendly. What they eat or can do other than their defense is unknown so far.

Plant based sparklings (native to Kanjis only) will curl into balls and disguise themselves among vegetation while also mimicking a plant’s smell if threatened or simply wishing to be left alone. They tend to only eat meat and metal mostly as they love plant life much more than others so there’s no reason for them to eat whom they consider their friends.

Last fact but certainly not least, it is not possible to convince a sparkling someone else is their creator once born to another. Even if blind for a few hours, they will detect the scent of their keeper as not their biological creators and will be a bit off put by the keeper’s presence from that point onward. Despite perhaps getting used to the keeper slash adoptive creator, they won’t feel truly like they belong with the adoptive parent. And since they lose the ability to sense their creators’ presence after converting into a youngling, the scent of their keeper will not stay in their mindset even as sparklings. At most, they will stay a good distance away from the adoptive parent.
