well if you're still taking character asks too, how about James Rhemann?
How I feel about this character
honestly? carried the series. vouched for Wymack EVERY TIME something was going on with the foxes WITHOUT QUESTION. took on Jean knowing the baggage he was bringing with him (to some degree at least). Coach of the kindest most genuine most sportsmanlike team in the collegiate league? KING. he deserves everything good in the world
All the people I ship romantically with this character
Wymack. hearing out the stuart/james ship rn
My non-romantic OTP for this character
i don't knowwww. ask me again in two books and maybe rhemann x lisinski will be the hottest ship in town
My unpopular opinion about this character
okay. LOWKEY. i don't think he trusts Jean. at least nowhere near in the same way Wymack trusts his foxes. especially after what happened with Grayson and his insistence on not calling the cops, but also with everything he's seen in Jean since he signed him. I feel like David understands why the foxes might not want the cops to get involved in things but other people mightn't understand it as well and Jean is standing in front of him bleeding and beat up as fuck SO sure that he doesn't want the cops to be called. He plays dirty. He has bad tactics so ingrained in him that he's struggling to unlearn them. I think he has a lot of loooong phone calls with David about him because he's so frustrated with trying to understand what his deal is
One thing I wish would happen / had happened with this character in canon.
Again I would LOVE to see a phone call between him and David about Jean. I want David to have to explain to him in the simplest least-information-heavy way possible what he has to do with Jean or how he can possibly begin to understand him

2p Italy and 1p England would be besties. I can see they shit talking people and being a general menace/chaotic evil together. You can see it as ship if you want to, but I like to see it as platonic/found family. Two chaotic evil creatures bonding over the fact that theyâre both menaces to society.
/lh /nay
You know, since 2P!Italy goes into the 1P world first, he and 1P!England actually have a LOT of time to interact!
As my mind turns, I consider the following:
Arthur is definitely amused at first by "Feliciano" suddenly acting kind of different. They've never been particularly close, because Feliciano's... (gestures) er, joviality doesn't really settle well with Arthur. He'd appreciate the change of pace with 2P!Italy. Misery loves company, and 2P!Italy is nothing if not miserable.
Of course, it couldn't be too obvious: a fun part of the 2P!Takeover to me is that (with some poor actor exceptions hem hem PRUSSIA hem hem) it's hard to tell who has been taken over and who hasn't. Really fuels into the paranoia later.
In the beginning, I could see them being pals for sure. But I also consider both of them too closed-off and distrusting to really get close to one another. For the following reasons:
2P!England is sure to let each and every nation know that the 1Ps are, like, totally evil** and whatnot. So 2P!Italy isn't interested in getting too attached to "England's Evil Twin." (you see, of course, the joke is that, actually, Oliver is evil or something?) 2P!Italy regards everything that the 1P's do with quiet scrutiny... (except for 1P!Romano, of course, but that's for later.)
2P!Italy also isn't really excited on getting attached to someone who is going to cease to exist soon, overwritten by his ACTUAL Good Friend England. (Yeah, I imagine 2P!Italy and 2P!England are friends. And as we've seen, 2P!England is kind of jealous of his counterpart, and 2P!Italy knows not to get too close for that reason.)
On the other hand, while England initially takes "Feliciano's" changes in stride, that's only because he's the first. When it happens again, and again, and again-- and it finally occurs to the 1Ps that hey maybe something weird is happening? -- it quits being endearing and starts being frightening. So. Friendship over. Not that it ever truly began. For reasons not even related to the 2P!Takeover, he's just a grumpy old man with trust issues and a lot of self loathing. He didn't trust "Feliciano" when he was too nice, why would he trust him when he's getting a sudden mean streak?
TLDR: They could definitely be chaotic friends. In another universe, that friendship might even have some truth to it. But with the circumstances being what they are (2P!Italy is possessing Feliciano's body to help with a plan that will result in Arthur's eventual "death," and on some level Arthur is aware that something is wrong with "Feliciano,") the fun doesn't last long. A very interesting thought nonetheless, and a little bittersweet. Thank you Anon!

Chapter 6 DATV Masterlist Chapter 8(wip)
The morning light filtered through the cracks in the shuttered window, pale and hesitant, as if it didnât quite belong in this room weighed down with unspoken words and regrets. My side still ached, a steady throb that tethered me to the moment, even though I was mostly recovered, like it was a phantom reminder of what happened. I lay there for a while, staring at the ceiling, listening to the muffled sounds of movement beyond the door. Life continued out there. Here, I felt stuck in some kind of limbo.
Eventually, I forced myself to sit up, wincing as the motion pulled at my tender skin. My gear sat neatly folded on the chair in the corner, my boots placed side by side. I wasnât sure who had done it, but a nagging feeling told me it was Lucanis. Despite everything, he always made sure things were orderly---like if he could control the chaos of the little things, the bigger things might stop spinning out of control too.
The door creaked open, and I tensed, half-expecting to see him again. But instead, it was Varric, chest still bandaged up, and he walked with a limp while his leg was braced. His ever-present smirk was slightly softer than usual.
âWell, look whoâs up,â he said, stepping inside. He pulled a stool over and dropped onto it with a sigh. âYou look like hell, Rook.â
âThanks,â I muttered, running a hand through my hair. âGood to see you too.â
Varric leaned forward, resting his elbows on his knees. âSo, you wanna talk about it? Or are we doing the whole âbrooding in silenceâ thing?â
I shot him a look that suggested exactly what I planned to do. âWhatâs there to talk about? We went up against a literal ancient nightmare, and I almost got myself killed. Again.â
âYeah,â he said, his tone light but pointed. âAnd yet here you are. Still breathing. Which is more than most people can say after tangling with something like that.â
I leaned back against the headboard, my arms crossed. âIt doesnât feel like enough.â
âEnough for what?â Varric asked, his gaze sharp despite the casual set of his shoulders. âTo save the world? To live up to whatever impossible standard youâve set for yourself? Let me tell you something, Rookâbeing alive is enough. Itâs a hell of a lot more than some people get.â
I looked away, my jaw tightening. âTell that to the people we couldnât save.â
âI have,â Varric said simpy. âAnd guess what? Theyâd say the same thing Iâm saying now. You did what you couldâve. More than anyone else wouldâve.â
Silence settled between us, heavy but not uncomfortable. I traced the edge of the blanket with my fingers, my thoughts tangling into knots. âLucanis thinks he failed,â I said finally, the words tasting bitter in my mouth.
Varric nodded, like heâd been waiting for me to bring it up. âOf course he does. That guyâs got enough guilt to sink a ship.â
âWhy?â I asked, my voice quieter now. âWhy does he put so much of this on himself?â
Varric was silent for a moment, looking at me for long enough that I met his stare. The weight of it made me look away again. His voice was low when he asked, âWhy do you?â
I looked down at my hands, flexing my fingers. âI donât know how to help him,â I said instead.
âStart by helping yourself,â Varric said. âYou canât pull someone out of the fire if youâre already half-burned.â I frowned, about to argue, but he held up a hand to stop me. âI mean it, Rook. Youâre both too damn stubborn for your own good. Maybe itâs time to stop trying to fix everything alone.â
His words hung in the air, and for the first time in a long time, I didnât have a sharp reply at the ready. Varric stood, patting my thigh affectionately before moving for the door. âThink about it,â he said, pulling the door open before looking over his shoulder at me. âAnd for Andrasteâs sake, try not to get yourself killed again. Iâm running out of sarcastic things to say at your bedside.â
I snorted despite myself, shaking my head. âIâll try.â
The door clicked shut behind him, leaving me alone with my thoughts. This time, they didnât feel quite as heavy.
â-------------------------
I finally managed to drag myself out of the cot in the infirmary. My side was still tight, and the skin was stretched taut with a scar, but it was healed mostly over. Phantom pains still plagued me, but that could just have been the result of so much mental and emotional stress on a physical wound.
Lucanis and I hadnât spoken, but I would wake to the smell of his cooking and a cioccolata calda steaming on a tray beside my bed. If that was his idea of a peace offering, Iâd take it. Everything was hard enough without trying to lay our feelings out in a messy heap on the dining table. Best to keep them tucked away in organized folders, nice and neat to pull out when necessary and close up and put away in other cases.
And until the time arose for me to pull some of those folders out, they would stay right there in my chest where they belonged. Where I knew no one could see them or hurt them.Â
Hurt me.
And yet, my feet carried me right to him anyway. As though they just couldnât help themselves. As though I couldnât help myself. Like a moth to a flame, always trailing after the danger and unable to resist the temptation of its warmth.
I knocked hesitantly before pushing open his door. Lucanis stopped mid-pace, seeing me. âAre you in here brooding?â I asked with a slight smile.
âIâm fine,â He said, placing a hand on his hip.
âThatâs not a âNo.ââ
âI had her. She should never have gotten away from me. This was our contract, Rook. I donât fail my contracts,â he said, venom toward himself with every syllable that slipped from his tongue.
âForget about Ghilanânain,â I said.
âThatâs why Iâm here,â he argued.
âI know, but⌠Iâm just happy you didnât get killed out there.â I crossed my arms under my chest like I could pull that folder back in before it spilled all over the floor like loose coffee beans.
âYou shouldnât go easy on me,â Lucanis said. âMistakes get people killed.â
âYouâre an assassin,â I grinned. âSo do successes.â
âI thought I still had this. Whatever else I am, Iâm a professional,â he said. âAfter the Ossuary, I thought at least I could still take out a target. I need to work.â
âGhilanânain was a giant face in the clouds, Lucanis. I asked you to stab a cloud.â
âAnd I missed the damn cloud!â
âMy point is: That was impossible, and you still almost did it. Thatâs not small,â I told him.
He sighed, looking at the ground. âI was distracted,â he said, looking back up at me. âThat cannot happen again. I need to get my head on straight.â
âWhatever you need to do, okay?â I told him.
âHave you been to talk to the others?â He asked. âI think everyone might have⌠things to deal with now. I should check in with the Crows. Whatever the word is, Iâll let you know.â
âTell Teia I said hi,â I told him before leaving. âAnd Lucanis,â I turned back toward him, and he looked up at me. âStop beating yourself up before I beat you up,â I leveled him with the best glare I could manage.
His eyebrows shot up, âIs that a threat, mi estrella?â
I shrugged, smiling at him before shutting the door behind me.Â
â---------------------
After a talk with Solas that night that provided no new information or feedback, I wandered back out to the dining hall to see if Lucanis had heard from the Crows. When I entered, he was standing at the corner of the table, several knives stuck into the wood.
âThis is ominousâŚâ I said as I approached.
âViago found something,â Lucanis said.
âSomething bad, I take it?â I asked, bracing myself for whatever news I was about to hear that had Lucanis sticking knives in the table.
âVenatori in Treviso. Like I thought. One of them might know where Zara is. Viago has Crows watching them. We find them, we find Zara,â he said.
âEverything she did to you⌠Weâll make her pay, Lucanis. Side by side,â I said earnestly.
âWe just have to get this done. Iâm not losing anyone else,â he said in a low voice. âWe only get one shot at this. Weâll go when youâre ready.â
â----------------------
We met with Lucanisâs Crow contact. She told us that they found a group of Venatori hiding out in the market, not far from Cafe Pietra. They already took Minrathous from me. They couldnât have Treviso too.
I would do anything to keep a home.
I didnât like anything about this. I definitely didnât like how willing Illario was to insist Zara had moved on and left. Especially now that Venatori were trying to occupy the city beside the Antaam.
We made our way through the city to where she said they were hiding. Of course the front door was locked. So we went up. There was always another route, this was Treviso, after all. Holes in the walls and climbing the lattice-works on the sides of buildings. Jumping between roofs and ziplining over canals.Â
Still, I mustâve miscalculated a jump, my foot slipping. My heart plummeted to my stomach as I started falling. A hand gripping my wrist firmly stopped me, and a second later I was back on my feet, looking at Lucanis as his hand lingered on my wrist.
âCareful,â he said before turning to lead the way again.
Iâd forgotten how fun it was to kill Venatori. They were worse than roaches. Like a rat in the last bag of rice. Lucanis watched with raised brows, almost in surprise as I slammed my dagger through a Venatoriâs ribs all the way to the hilt before pulling it out and slitting his throat.
âYou fight like a Crow,â he observed.
âVarric taught me to fight. I guess the rogue in him rubbed off on me,â I said in response. âSometimes even a normal stabbing beats burning them to a crisp.â
âRemind me to stay on your good side,â he smirked.
âI think youâre safe,â I laughed.
There were lots of useless notes scattered around their hideout. Only one pointed to a possible lead. A powerful mage named Aquila. A mage? Two could play that game. Try a mage with a dagger, bitch.
It didnât take long to get rid of him. His pockets were stuffed with jewelry from the Chantry. That was our next stop, then.
âAre you sure youâre ready for this? Facing Zara, I mean,â I asked him.
âI lost a year of my life to that Venatori witch. I owe her for that,â he said steadily.
We climbed up to the roof, and Illario was standing there. âThere you are. What took you so long? Did you stop for coffee again?â
âIllario? What are you doing here?â Lucanis asked as we approached. I watched him, very much waiting to hear the answer to that myself.
âIâm coming with you, cousin. No arguments.â
âThis is my job,â Lucanis argued.
âThis is Crow business,â Illario countered.
âHow did you even know weâd be here?â Lucanis asked.
Illario looked at me with a sly grin. âRook! Always a pleasure. Touring the city with my cousin? You must allow me to show you the sights.â
I crossed my arms over my chest. âLucanis told you not to come.â I saw a flash of anger and disappointment cross Illarioâs face before it was gone, replaced by that stupid smug grin.
âThis isnât your type of job, cousin,â Lucanis said, shifting slightly closer to me. âThereâs no one you can charm into dropping their guard. Only fanatics. All you can do is get yourself killed.â
âYou think Iâm not good enough?â Illario questioned.
âAre you?â Lucanis asked.
âFine. Have it your way, cousin. You know best,â Illario replied with a hiss.
âLetâs go, Rook. Zara is waiting,â Lucanis told me.
âGo on, then. Donât keep Zara waiting,â Illario crossed his arms, watching me like a predator. I sidestepped him, heading across the roof.
We didnât find Zara, but we found about a dozen Venatori and a bone-reader in the Chantry hall. Apparently she was Zaraâs favorite soothsayer, Porcia. Lucanis said if sheâs here then Zara is too.
All of her lackeys were here, which meant she was here. We just hadnât found her yet.
And of course, when we did find her, it was in a pool of blood in the basement of the holy sanctum.
And she was naked.
Great.
âLucanis,â she purred. âItâs terribly uncivilized to drop in on a lady unannounced. Now the eveningâs ruined.â
âYouâve got something on yourself,â I said.
âHow very eloquent,â she said, standing from the water. She was covered in blood up to her collarbone, hair black and wavy, lips painted dark. Her eyes were bone white, a stark contrast to her hair and the blood bodysuit.
âBitch,â I sneered, curling my lip and flipping her the bird. Lucanis glanced at me with a similar expression, and my hand clutched my dagger as she prepared to fight us.
All of my anger with the Venatori that had built in my veins now came charging out in a concentrated blast of fire and lightning. I watched as Lucanis leaped into the air, wings erupting from his back in a display of shadow and night and everything righteous and vengeful that had been building in him over the past year.
While she was busy focusing on not burning to a crisp and spending all her power regenerating herself, Lucanis grabbed her by the shoulders and threw her forcefully against the floor. Her once beautiful face was now old and wrinkled, her hair white as snow.
She cowered against the pillar she was thrown against, trying to drag herself up. âSo serious, Lucanis! Why donât we talk? I can tell you much about Venatori⌠and our pet Crows.â
âNo. I want. Her heart. Quivering. On our knife,â I heard Spite hiss in Lucanisâs mind.
I watched Lucanisâs face twist, his neck straining as he fought against Spite for control. His eyes flashed purple before he closed them.
âYou want to know who betrayed you, donât you? Who sent you to the Ossuary?â Zara crooned.
âTalk,â Lucanis spat.
âI knew you wereââ
She was cut off by someone dropping from the ceiling. I almost had them under my blade before I saw it was Lucanisâs cousin.
âIllario!â
âI told you. This is Crow business.â
âAmatuââ Zara was cut off by Illarioâs hand around her throat, squeezing the life out of her. Literally. Her neck snapped. And she was gone.
âNo! Mine!â Spite hissed through Lucanisâs teeth, wings flaring from his back. Spite screamed in anger, leaping into the air and pinning Illario, arm drawn back with his dagger. I watched in slow motion as he tried to plunge the knife into his cousin. His other hand caught his forearm.
âGet. Illario. Out!!â Lucanis yelled in my direction, fighting against Spite with everything in him.
âWhat? Noââ
âRook, I canâtââ He screamed in pain.
âLucanis!â I moved in front of Illario.
âNo!â Lucanis screamed.
The dagger pressed against my skin, drawing a nick of blood at my collar. âRook. Move!â Spite hissed.
I stared right into those glowing purple eyes. âNo. If you want him you have to kill me first.â
Spite growled. My face cracked as the dagger drew a scratch against my skin from Lucanisâs shaking hand trying to hold Spite back.
âRook. Hurt!â Lucanis stumbled back, eyes back to their normal chocolate brown.
âRook,â Lucanis took a step toward me, hand out.Â
âHey, Iâm fine.â I swiped my thumb over the wound, letting my magic heal it with the pass. âSee? Nothingâs there, itâs okay.â
âYou need to get him out of here,â Illario said behind me. âRook. Keep him away. From Treviso. From the Crows. Heâs a danger to the family.â
I spun around to face him. Approaching with my finger in his face. âIf you had bloody well stayed away like we bloody well told you to, this wouldnât have happened! That wasnât your fucking kill, Illario! Do you know he spent a year in that fucking prison getting tortured? That he never wouldâve been possessed if not for her?â I spat, my hand fisted in his collar.
âRookââ Lucanis said weakly.
âNo!â I cried. âHe does not get to call you a danger when heâs so reckless. And what was it Zara called you, hmm? Amatus? The Vint word for love, if I remember correctly from my time as a slave,â I spat in Illarioâs face. âForgive me, if Iâm not ready to let you off the hook just because you happened to know where we would be, and happened to know where the Ossuary was, and happened to be called love by the person we came here to kill. So, no. You get out of here Illario before I get the mind to kill you myself. Your only grace is being Lucanisâs cousin. Get the fuck out of my sight.â I shoved him and he stumbled.
âLucanis, youâre going to let your plaything speak to me like this?â He questioned.
âKalais is not a plaything, and you would be the luckiest man in the world to have her as yours. Just go, Illario,â Lucanis said, all of the fight gone from him.
Illario looked between the two of us, scoffed, and walked away. He was smarter than I gave him credit for, then.
Lucanis watched him go and then fell to his knees. I rushed over to him, hands on his shoulders to keep him upright. âCome on, just gotta get back to the eluvian and you can rest,â I said, helping him to his feet. âIâm alright, okay, now I just need you to be.â
Lucanis complied as best he could, Spite helping him move with me as we traversed back to the Diamond and through the Eluvian to the lighthouse.
I managed to get him back to his room, sitting down against the wall as he passed out on his cot.
â--------------------
I didnât sleep much, but I rested a bit while he did. He sat by me for who knows how long while I was injured, I couldnât bear to leave now.
Hours later he stirred. âRook?â
âYouâre awake,â I said, looking up at him from my camp on the floor. I had brewed fresh coffee for when he awoke sitting on the table next to his bed, the small lamp the only light in the room.
âYes,â he said. âIâve been trying to figure out what to say to you,â he said quietly.
Ah.
So heâd been awake for awhile, then. I just didnât know because he hadnât stirred.
âAndâŚâ he continued. âThere arenât words enough to apologize.â I shifted to sit on my knees before his bedside, brows furrowed. âI never wanted you to see me like that. And to think I almostâŚâ
I shook my head. âIâm still here,â I told him. âNothing happened that I wasnât expecting other than Illario falling from the sky,â I said with a slight grin. âAnd lookâŚâ I took his hand, pulling it to my collarbone where his dagger had nicked me. âThereâs nothing there. Not even a scar.â
I let go, and his fingers trailed across my collarbone, eyes lingering on the skin there. A shiver went down my spine, goosebumps raising on my flesh. Lucanis inhaled sharply, looking away, putting his hands on his lap. âWe need to talk about Illario.â
âHe wants you to stay away from the Crows. He⌠thinks youâre a danger to your family,â I spat. Iâd had plenty of time to think about it and let my anger cool down. And yet, every time I thought about it, that anger came rushing back. What better way to tell I was justified than that?
âHeâs not wrong. If I cannot stay in controlâŚâ He said solemnly. âSomethingâs not right, though.â
I sighed. âI didnât say anything because heâs your cousin, but⌠Iâve always had a bad feeling about Illario,â I said carefully. âAnd for your sake, I didnât want it to be true.â
âFor his sake, letâs hope youâre wrong,â Lucanis said. âZara is dead. After everything she did to meâŚâ
âTo us!â Spite hissed.
âIt should have been my knife that finished this. Illario denied me that.â
âTrust me, I wonât be soon forgetting that, either,â I scowled.
âThank you, Rook,â he said softly. âJust⌠give me time.â
I took his hands, squeezing them lightly. âOf course. Iâll be around if you need to talk. Your coffee is on the end table. I made it, I hope itâs alright. I tried to copy how you do it,â I said sheepishly, looking away.
His eyes were wide, and he picked up the cup, bringing it to his lips. He hummed, eyes slipping shut as he tasted it. I squirmed with anticipation. His eyes slowly slid open to peer at me. âI think⌠this is better than my coffee, Kalais. I might be asking you to make it more often,â he smirked.
I felt my face flush, and I stood, hands on his knees as I leaned in. âNo promises that I can make it again,â I said before standing and leaving the room.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
A/N: I hope you guys like the slight changes I made! (I needed to yell at that bitch (Illario) and Zara so badddd)
Let me know if you want to be added to the Lucanis tag list or the Kalais tag list!

a truly terrible idea has latched hold of my gremlin brain which is, buck and tommy do break up so that buck can pursue eddie because either tommy thinks buck is in love with eddie or buck feels like he should be with eddie because everyone else keeps suggesting there's something more there BUT buck/eddie getting together changes their dynamic so much that neither of them are enjoying themselves (and they're worrying about losing what made their friendship so special because of all the changes to the dynamic) AND buck and tommy keep hooking up [air quotes] platonically (with tommy stumbling into inconvenient feelings and pining pathetically for buck while fucking him) while buck struggles to sort out intense feelings toward eddie (which obviously have to be romantic of course) vs. his calm, more settled feelings toward tommy (they're not as intense as his feelings about eddie so they can't possibly be romantic) blah blah long story slightly less long but buck realizes he's been in love with tommy the whole time and was having trouble separating strong but platonic feelings for eddie from his romantic feelings toward tommy and then tommy's like "newsflash asshole i've been in love with you the whole goddamn time"
i'll never write it because it's irredeemably stupid and i value my peace but it IS sitting in my hindbrain tormenting me right now
#thank you for coming to my ted talk#i'm not tagging this bc i don't want it showing up in any show or ship tags but...............................#terrible evil plotbunny free to a good home#nobody ever writes about the friends who get together bc 'why not everyone else already thinks we're dating' and then it doesn't work out#because the dynamic changes SO MUCH that you're not sure if it was such a good idea in the first place#now add a third person to the mix that you like but aren't sure how you feel about them#not sure if eddie would be aware it's casual and non exclusive or if there'd be miscommunication leading to angst#honestly this is just me venting my frustrations with those breakup fics masqueraring as b*cktommy that have tommy#graciously sacrificing himself on the altar of b*ddie's true love and stepping aside magnanimously#that's not interesting to me to read even as a b*ddie shipper#if buck and tommy have to break up let it be real and messy because real people are real and messy#let tommy fight for buck even if it doesn't end up working out#let buck and eddie feel guilty because buck did genuinely care about tommy and eddie does like him as a friend#let tommy cut both of them off because even though he likes both of them he still has feelings and it hurts seeing them together#let tommy be petty about showing off a new love interest or fwb and how much happier he is with this guy than he was with buck#let buck wonder if he made the right choice or not bc he didn't ever want to hurt tommy#he only convinced himself tommy would be completely fine with the breakup because he needed him to be fine so that he could do it guilt fre#let eddie wonder if they made the right choice or not bc while he finally has what he's wanted for years it did hurt someone he really like#maybe it'll all work out in the end for buck and eddie AND tommy but i just want it to feel real and not overly polished and sanitized#and no one is hurt or upset or petty or flawed#anyway#i like mess#don't @ me#i might have to write this now but i don't want to be chased off with pitchforks and torches#text#shut up giallos

so i have arrived at - as the youth may call it - stupid asf situation. you see my printer thought they were being cool (they were <3) and sent me dupes if the small 5 x 7 graphics. which is cool except now i have nine copies of the same graphic amongst other slightly silly things, so i might run in stock leftover sales in the next month or two
#realistically i wont run any preorder things while i live abroad but i promised to penpal with my baby sister so i will be sending intl mail#anyway and i was always planning on taking some of my graphics with me for decoration purposes so might as well maybe#its just... incredibly funny how do i have nine copies of the ice does not forgive george. what will i ever do with nine copies lol#(* i dont want to open shop while i love abroad most likely cause i dont know a printer there BUT if leftovers go fine ill see lol#btw this only applies to 5x7 ones. not-a4 ones i got the amount i ordered aka the ones people wanted + personal use/archival ones#yes store was always just an excuse to buy myself more graphics. i just couldnt justify it to myself. thats why the price was so low lol#its basically production price + rounding up to account for shipping supplies lmao. and even then realistically i couldve gone lower#i just wasnt sure how many people would want any and i wanted to cover my bases haha#i do know artists who table at cons from where i will be living so mayhaps if there is interest i will hit them up to see if theyre willing#to share trade secrets. they probably will some merch manus are kept secret (enamel pins in particular) but prints are dime a dozen lol#erika.txt

I've been thinking about Laios' succubus lately. Mulling it over a bit.
Because I've seen these pages brought up a fair bit, but almost entirely in the context of shipping (on all sides, really). And I really want to understand what they are doing for the story beyond that.
When I went back to reread the scene and section, a few things caught my interest: the way Laios responds to both forms of his succubus, the themes of the volume the chapter is found in, and the other events of the chapter itself.
So let's dive into those three things, and what I think they say about the succubus scene's purpose.
Laios is never fully frozen by the succubus
So. If you compare Marcille and Chilchuck's reactions...
to Laios':
-
There is a difference. Sure, the basics may look the same once it turns into Scylla Marcille, but even then, it functions differently.
Chilchuck and Marcille are completely frozen once they catch sight of their succubus. Izutsumi, as well, isn't able to look away, and completely freezes up once her 'mom' starts talking to her. As Chilchuck describes, "just looking at them makes you unable to move."
And yet, Scylla Marcille has to actively convince Laios to comply. He even looks away from her at one point!
Laios accepts this succubus, but he is never actually helpless to it in the same way. Taken in? Convinced? Sure, at least enough to let things happen that he probably should question more than he does. But magically compelled? Not really. Not the same way as everyone else is. So that's interesting. But let's move on for now.
2. Volume 9 is all about drive and desire
I don't often look at chapters within the context of the volume they are included in, but I think there's some really fun things to be found with that perspective in mind.
For one, volume 9 starts with an exploration of what desire brought Laios to the dungeon:
And ends with a question of what desire brought Laios to the dungeon:
It's also very concerned in general with questions of why people do what they do. Why they are in the dungeon, why they are with the people they are with, why they stay, what they fight for.
In addition to Laios, we see it with Marcille...
Izutsumi
Kabru
and Mithrun
Hell, we even get it for the demon!
It's certainly not the only volume concerned with desires and motives, but it is particularly focused on these ideas.
The succubus scene fits quite well into the ongoing question about desires, especially Laios' desires. It is even placed at an interesting spot within the volume. The volume is six chapters long, and the scene takes place at the start of the 4th chapter. It's almost smack-dab in the middle.
With all this in mind, it is interesting that, with both versions of the succubus Marcille, it's not totally clear which parts of her Laios is rejecting.
The first version of Marcille looks human, but Laios attacks when he identifies her as a monster. The second Marcille looks like a monster, but he seems to believe that she is the real (human)(ish) person that he knows. So is he rejecting the monster at first, and then accepting the person? Or is he rejecting humanity and only interested in the monstrous?
Something to consider as we look at the next point...
3. the rest of the chapter is a seduction, too
This is one of those things that might not be apparent on a first reading, but is crystal clear on a revisit. We see the succubus try and charm Laios over 7 pages, and then see the Winged Lion do the same thing for the next 19.
Much like the succubus, it offers the mingling of monsters and humans. Much like the succubus, it offers belonging.
(and this is the point where I absolutely must also link this post by fumifooms on the succubus, which has some great ideas on how the scene is informed by Laios' trauma and desire for acceptance!!!)
But, back to the point. The Winged Lion wants to feed on Laios just as much as the succubus did, and it uses similar strategies to try and make that happen. Though this chapter isn't really the turning point for the next Lord of the Dungeon (it is Marcille who will, eventually, become the Lion's next victim), it certainly behaves like it is.
Laios is convinced. The succubus gets its meal. By the end of the volume, the reader begins to understand how concerning his desires are. Together, it is all very good at building up that sense of dread and pending disaster, as we see exactly how and why Laios might just fall into the Lion's open arms and bring about the end of the world.
-
So that's the three things I noticed. But there's still something I want to touch on by looking at the way these observations overlap, and what they reveal, together.
As I said, by the end of the volume, you can feel the tension growing. Just as Kabru and Mithrun do, you look back for an answer to the questions that have been built, chapter by chapter: why is Laios here? Where will his loyalties fall? This chapter, and scene, seem to prove the inevitable truth: he will choose the monster, of course. He will choose the seductive, easy power of the Winged Lion.
But the details of what actually happens tell different story: one in which the Lion is wrong.
First, as a reminder - even in Scylla Marcille mode, the succubus never fully entrances Laios. It convinces him, but it doesn't have him completely under its thrall.
Similarly, in the dream, the Lion does convince Laios to embrace the world he is offering. But even within that dream, Laios continues to ask questions that will be vital to him later. It is because of those questions that Laios comes to a new understanding about Thistle.
And it's this realization that he cites later as part of his reason for refusing the Lion's offer.
He is thinking through things the entire time, just like he continues to question the succubus even after it turns into Scylla Marcille.
Laios also expresses an interesting reason for why he wants to see the future of this world. He's not just invested because it would mean people liking what he likes, or him getting to spend time with monsters. The thought that comes immediately before his acceptance is about what he wants for monsters and people.
I don't think it's a coincidence that this statement - "we're living beings that share the same world, but all we can do is keep killing each other" - can apply to the various humans races just as much as it does to humans and monsters. The thing he is thinking about here isn't just a matter of his personal daydreams. It's an idea that underpins every conflict in the story.
Laios caring about how people as well as monsters in this manner is something that the Lion gets wrong every time. Even at the end, he still frames Laios' desires entirely around hating people and loving monsters.
The Lion has heard him express an opinion about the future of the world! It happened right there in the dream, right in front of him! He just didn't take it seriously, and didn't view it through any lens other than "Laios likes monsters more".
He's convinced that he understands how to get to Laios. Maybe the Lion can't truly see everything, or maybe his vision into everyone's deepest desires has made it hard for him to realize how much choice still matters. That people can, and do, choose which desires to act on, and how to act on them.
Whatever the case, he's wrong about Laios, and the story shows us this over and over again.
After all, look at how the succubus interaction plays out:
A monster uses Marcille to appeal to Laios...
He realizes that something about the situation is wrong, and rejects her.
It changes strategies, and makes new offer: to turn him into a monster.
It also assures him that his friends are, or will be, taken care of.
He accepts. Or rather, allows the monster to have its way with him.
But Laios is not as helpless as he initially appears, and what the Lion thinks is a successful seduction also contains the seed of an idea that will allow Laios to later resist him.
We even get to see Izutsumi playing a similar role in both instances, as the one person fully able to take action in the face to the illusion.
The story lays out what is going happen, and then explicitly tells us that the demon and the succubus are thematically related.
The chapter performs a great sleight of hand here - everything about it seems to indicate that Laios is doomed give in to the option to have his deepest desires realized. But if you look closer, it also contains the evidence that he won't. There's a lot more going on for him.
Yes, he still falls for obvious tricks. He is still extremely into monsters, and he still doesn't feel like he fits in with other people. He may, deep down, crave to surrender to the monstrous - to let it absorb him. But he questions more than he seems to. He considers more than people realize. He cares so much more than anyone gives him credit for.
And I think this is part of why we see the succubus called back to so many times, especially with the wolf head addition to his Monster Form, which he specifically added due to his encounter with the Scylla Marcille.
This all stays with Laios. It doesn't just foreshadow the path of the story, it is fundamental to how and why he walks that path. It's not about him choosing monsters, and it's not about him choosing people. It's about how he considers both, and cares about both.
And it's about the forces that think they already know his answer. Mithrun and Kabru. The Winged Lion. The succubus.
It's about how they are wrong.

You know what makes Kaz a great boss? What makes him a better boss then both Pekka Rollins and Per Haskel?
He gets to know his crew and basically any people heâs working with. I know itâs basically an opposite of what he says about barrel gangs, but hear me out.
The main reason why Kaz was able to know that Big Bolliger was a traitor is because he knew that Bol was lazy. And knowing what he did in the "Crow club" it would be hard to know if he was lazy or just relaxed while on the job. Kaz knew that he was lazy - he took time to know the guy.
And also the thing that makes Kaz's plans good is that he keeps in mind all his crew's bad habits and vulnerabilities and plots around them. Its really easy to see that if you look at Jesper.
He keeps in mind that Jesper is late and that he can accidentally give up important info. We see that clearly in the beginning of the book. During the âset the wolf freeâ plan he made sure to tell Jesper the âwrongâ time so that he would âbe lateâ and free the animals at the right time. He knew Jesper would(or could) give up info by accident so he took precautions(saying this again: no one arranges an extra ship just to gather in front of it)
And we also have it in the end of CK.
I think both Inej and Jesper had been told the wrong time. Kaz knew that Dunyasha would be there, so he added some time for Inej to fight her. He talks with Jesper about kergud(I have no idea how to spell that, sorry) and also adds time for that fight. He might have actually putted the wyvil it Jespers pocket(as I do not remember Jes actually putting it there, or mb he just made sure it was there).
I mean, it would have been weird if there would be just the sound of one shot fired, but after the siren it would sound better.
When Kaz told Dregs that he won't be their father, he meant it, your father doesn't know you that well, but your sneaky annoying little sibling does.

Asking the L&Ds boys "What are we?" Part 4: Sylus
Summary: MC and her boy have been in a sort of situation-ship but MC wants to know why they haven't officially called her their girlfriend
a/n: This ended up being much longer than I thought so I'm making it into 4 parts (one for each boy) Here's Sylus' part its the longest part, but also my favourite. hope you like it. also, I probably mixed up Luke and Kieran multiple times so just ignore it lol.
Genres/Warnings: lots of Luke and Kieran shenanigans, a bit of angst, fluff, kinda slow burn
Word count: 1936
Previous Parts 1 2 3
You were spending the day with Luke and Kieran, it was supposed to be with sylus but something came up. He didnât want you to waste your day off so he arranged for them to escort you around Linkon and basically do whatever you want for the whole day. While you were happy to have a chill day with your bodyguards/friends Luke and Keiran you were really looking forward to spending a whole day with Sylus. But recently lots of things have come up and he kept rescheduling all your dates. Was he trying to tell you something, is this his way of saying heâs not actually interested in you romantically but heâs too chicken to tell you? No, he wouldnât do that, Sylus is one of the most direct people you know, if he didnât like you, heâd just say so. So then why does it feel like heâs just stringing you along, when is he going to make you two official?
âMC?...MC?...â Lukeâs voice snapped you out of your train of thought.Â
âWhat? sorry I was a little spaced out.â you turn to the twins standing above you while you sit at one of the tables of the Linkon Mall foodcourt.
âI said where do you want to go for lunch? There's so many choicesâ Luke gestured to the row of different restaurants among the foodcourt.
âWe could always have the bossâs favourite, ever since you let him try your instant ramen that's all he asks the chefs to make for him when youâre away,â Kieran suggested as both boys took a seat next to you on the other side of the table. âThere's a ramen place right over thereâ
âUmm⌠Iâm not sure⌠Iâm not really hungry right nowâ You looked vacantly across the mall foodcourt starting to space out again
âThe boss said there's no limit to how much we can spend today so we donât have to eat here. Or if you canât decide on what to eat we can buy a bit of everything and you can taste them allâ Kieran suggests while taking out Sylusâ black credit card from his pocket.
âYou have to eat something, the boss doesnât want you to skip meals he told us to make sure you eat something or elseâ Luke warned in a fake threatening voice.
âWell, I guess if I have to in order to save you two from Sylusâ wrath, then I want something homemade, not this cheap generic stuff, so letâs go back to the base and see what we can cook up, what do you say?âÂ
âAnything for the Bossâs girlfriend,â Kieran said with a smile, he stood up and put out his arm for him to escort you to the car.
âHuh⌠what did you say?â You stopped reaching for Kieranâs arm at the word girlfriend.
âAnything for the bossâs âŚgirlfriendâŚ. Iâm confused, are you not his girlfriendâ Kieran looked embarrassed like he might have misread the situation.
âWell yeahâŚbut .. heâs never said it beforeâŚso I didnât think he thought of me as his girlfriend.â you stood awkwardly looking at the floor and playing with your hands.
âOf course he thinks of you that way he gets all smiley when he or anyone else mentions you. I donât think Iâve ever seen the boss smile so much before you came alongâ Luke grabbed your bags as you guys started to head to the car. âThe boss just has a hard time expressing his emotions. â he mentioned brightly
âYeah for the first year of us working for him he pretended not to remember our names cuz he didnât want to seem soft, even tho he could already tell us apart after the first day even with our masks on.â Kieran said as he looked up to the sky like he was reminiscing on the Good-old-daysÂ
âBut he always calls you his girlfriend around usâÂ
âRight, he even calls you his girlfriend in the task memos he sends usâ Luke shows you his phone with all the tasks set out by sylus. He clicks play and a voice recording of Sylus starts.Â
â1. As Iâll be away for the day take my girlfriend to the mall and get her anything she wants, to keep her happy
2. Make sure she eats something for lunch, she tends to skip meals and gets really tired halfway through the day because of it. If she doesnât eat anything, a punishment will be waiting for you upon your return.
3. Carry everything for her no matter how much she buys, rent a truck if you have to, I donât want her straining herself before tonightâs special eventâŚâ
âWaitâ you click pause on Lukeâs phone. âwhat event, he never told me about that.âÂ
âUhhâŚoopsâ Luke quickly puts away his phone âYou werenât supposed to hear that. Just pretend it didnât happenâ
Kieran slaps Lukeâs arm âYou idiot, that was supposed to be a surprise, the boss is gonna kill usâ
âJust what is he planning?â you interrogate the twins. Both of them looked at each other as they opened the car door and helped you in.
âour lips are sealed.â they both said in unison while placing their fingers in an X over their lips
You guys were now in the car on the way back to the base. Youâve fallen silent thinking about this special event. just what kind of event was this? It couldn't be something bad, right? Was he breaking up with you? Is that why he let you use his card with no limit, to give you one final good day then heâd cut you off??? You couldnât take the suspense anymore, you had to know. You took your phone out of your purse and called Sylus. Your phone was connected to the carâs speakers and Kieran saw that you were calling him and got a little nervous. Sylus picked up almost immediately.Â
âYes, Sweetie? What's wrong, are Luke and Kieran not treating You well, do you need me to get rid of them for you? Iâve been looking for some new Henchmen anywayâ He said with a chuckle
âHey, weâre right here you know?â Kieran said in a hurt voice
âI know, that's why I said itâ âSylus joked
âAnd you wouldnât get rid of us, right boss?â Luke asked, âWeâre your favourite henchmen, right?â
Sylus completely ignores Luke's question â...So why did you call sweetie? Remember when I said I was very busy today and that weâd see each other later tonight?â
You didnât want to beat around the bush so you got straight to the point.âYeah, thatâs what I wanted to ask about, what exactly is happening tonight? What's the Special event and why didnât you tell me earlier?âÂ
There was silence on the other end and then an annoyed groan. âDid you two tell her?â Sylus sounded like he was about to jump through the phone and punch both of them in the face.
âNo boss we promise all she knows is that thereâs an event tonight she doesnât know anything else,â Kieran said frantically âPlease donât get rid of usâ
Ignoring them again he sighed. âWhere are you right now babe?â
âWe were on our way to the base for lunch.â You informed him
âat least those two can do something rightâ he sighs. âOk then Iâll be waiting for you at the base and Iâll explain everything.â *Click* he hangs up
Now you were even more curious, what was sylus planning?
âDo you think the boss is really gonna get rid of us?â Luke asked you in a scared voice.
âI doubt it, you guys mess up all the time and he hasnât gotten rid of you yet, what's one more mess upâ you say in a joking tone âPlus if heâs as nice as you say he is, then you donât have anything to worry about.â
Later back at the base you all walk into the living room to see Sylus sitting on the couch reading a book. âOh, youâre back.â Sylus puts down his book and pats the space next to him for you to join him on the couch. âCome, sit. Letâs talk.â as you sit he wraps an arm around your waist to pull you closer. He then looked up to where the twins were standing. âYou two, Iâll deal with you later. Leave us be for now.â
âYes boss.â they both say and hurriedly walk out of the room.
On the way to the base after the phone call you just couldnât stop thinking about what this event could be and mixed with your thoughts from earlier you were only coming up with every bad result it could be. All those thoughts and emotions were boiling inside and before Sylus could say anything they overflowed âWhat are we?âÂ
âHuh?â Sylus looked confused âSweetie, what do you mean?â
âWhy do you keep avoiding me and why won't you call me your girlfriend? Apparently, youâll say it in front of everyone else but me.â You moved back so you were out of his gripÂ
âThose two, Iâll fire them for sure this time,â He says under his breath.
âAnd what is this event? Why didnât you tell me about it, is it about me? Did I do something wrong?â Your voice slightly cracked on the last word and your eyes started to get misty.
âWoah, slow down, if I knew it would make you feel like this I would have explained sooner.â He pulls you close again, holds your face in his palms and wipes your tears with his thumbs âFirst, We are Sylus and MC the strongest and most feared couple in the N109 Zone.â He chuckled. âSecond, Iâm sorry that I made you feel this way. I knew you were curious but I didnât know the curiosity would get to you this much. I wasnât avoiding you, Iâve been setting up the special event that Iâll tell you more about in due time. But, as for your third questionâŚâ Sylus pulls your head in closer and places a soft kiss on your lips that nearly takes your breath away. He pulls away and looks at you with a smirk âYouâve also never called me your boyfriend so I guess weâre evenâÂ
âYeah wellâŚI didnât want to assume⌠Iâ You start to stutter both from the kiss and his accusation.
He stops you and places another kiss on your lips âI guess we both felt that wayâÂ
âSo then what about the event?â youâre now sitting closer to him his hands on your waist to keep you close.
âOh yeah, the event⌠I was gonna let you watch while I fire Luke and Kieran. I set up events every time I want to fire one of my men, why do you think I had you keep them out of the house the whole day?â He joked.
You softly slapped his chest and rolled your eyes â I know youâre joking those two might be idiots but youâd never fire them. Come on seriously what is it really?â
âOk, I'll tell you, if you can tell me something first, what day is it today? He asks, hoping youâll know the answer.
âUh, Sunday?â you say confused as to why this day of the week had any significance.
âYou canât even remember yet you want me to call you my girlfriend,â Sylus said pretending to be offended âItâs the anniversary of when a little kitten first wandered into the N109 Zone andâŚâ he pulls you into a hug â into my lifeâ

I feel like this is such a key moment in Shuro and Falinâs dynamic that iâve never seen talked about and wish was mentioned again in canon. âźď¸THIS IS NOT A SHIP POSTâźď¸ for clarity but to me it adds such an interesting layer to how Shuro must feel towards her and the imbalance in their relationshipâŚ..
So much of his character is feeling alienated and inaccessible to the people around him, at first in his own family and then culturally after he left home. the party doesnât even know his actual name. heâs under so much pressure and could feel like anyone Knowing another side of him would compromise his obligations, and partly why he resents what he views as Laiosâs compulsive earnestness so much. but at the same time I think him seeing how much patience and love she has for Laios makes him wonder if he could be safe with her. and in the caterpillar scene he sees Falin finding beauty in something others find repulsive and inconsequential (plus in the recent Adventure Bible we learn he also has an interest in crittersâŚ.)
Iâm not sure when the caterpillar scene takes place in relation to his nightmare, either way she literally enters his subconscious and saves his life!! Iâm so so so curious about the details tbh. I canât imagine how humiliating that would feel but at the same time it took away the need for him to confess any of his weaknesses, Falin took it upon herself and the most Insane part to me is he probably doesnât even remember what she saw, because Marcille didnât remember the content of hers. and thereâs no way heâd ASK, and Falin wouldnât volunteer that information.
anywayyyyy Shuro knows sheâs seen the deep pain and loneliness at his core and guided him out. he wants that, he DID get it, but doesnât know HOW!!!! so of course heâd try to chase that in reality and he would feel an intense closeness with her because sheâs the only one who whoâs Literally Seen that side of him, one that he might not have a full realization of.
it rly captures this imbalance between them that I think Shuro really wants to bridge even if heâs unequipped for it, and Falin doesnât reciprocate. like. You See Me, Can You Please Show Me What You See? he knows, factually, that she could understand and help him. but he only offers to make her âcomfortable.â and at the end of the day she does for him what she would do for anyone, often at great risk to herself (imo her desire for independence in the AB demonstrates her wanting to break this) he knows this and it would be enough, he even admires that about her greatly. but it doesnât leave much room for her own self actualization.
I donât have a conclusion other than thank you Ryoko Kui. thank you.

My Dornish Love
Aemond Targaryen x Martell!reader
Warnings- arranged marriages, heavy implications of masturbation
Wc- 2.3k
I donât intend for this to be the only part, but weâll see.
part 2
-
A marriage proposal between Martells and Targaryens isnât unheard of. But the Martells always refuse in the end. They were far too stubborn and prideful the council members would think.Â
There was a war coming, and everyone knew. The greens need all the support they can get. And having Dorne on their side can turn things around heavily. Dorne may not have large numbers of fighters, but their skills make up for it.Â
When Qoren Martell received a letter from Queen Alicent in hopes that he would accept a marriage between his eldest daughter and her second son. Everyone expected the prince to decline, but he surprised everyone by agreeing. It was a tour for her to get to know the Prince but it was clear the decision had already been made regardless.
When you, the princess, found out. You were furious.
âI donât understand, we have never accepted anything that would mean having Dorne become part of the kingdoms.â You paced in front of your father.
âAnd it is time to change that.â He says and you huff.Â
âYou know why theyâre doing this, the Targaryens are on the brink of yet another war and they are making sure to bring everyone into it.âÂ
âWe donât know that.âÂ
âYes we do, and youâre putting me in it.â When he didnât respond you turned away to start walking away.
âIts simply a tour to see if you are compatible, Y/n. You and your brothers will be sailing for Kings Landing in two days, be ready.âÂ
-
Those two days came by quickly. Your handmaidens had some of your things packed for those three weeks and the ship loaders were finishing up.Â
âWhat if I donât like him?â You ask your father as both of you wait on the docks.
âThen you donât marry him.â
âIm sure the decision is already made. This tour is just a formality.â You cross your arms. âYou wonât even be there.â
âYour brothers will be there in my place.â
âWhat if he is cruel? Targaryen men are said to be cruel.âÂ
âThen I'm sure his death will be deemed a mere accident.â His voice almost had an amusing tone. A shipmaster called out that everything was ready. Qoren grabbed you by your arms and turned you to face him. âWrite to me.â
âI will.â Your lip quivered and he kissed your forehead before grabbing your hand to guide you to a boat. Your brothers, Ryon and Deziel jumped in after you.
âDonât miss us too much,â Deziel says waving at the man and Ryon rolls his eyes.Â
âDonât destroy Kings Landing,â Qoren says and walks away with his hands behind his back.
-
Aemond knew this conversation would come. This is what he was waiting for. He would do his duty, and he hoped the Dornish woman would agree.Â
âI'm sure you hear how unprincipled the women of Dorne are, brother.â Aegon laughed next to Aemond. âThey are wild in the brothels now imagine the princess herself.â Aemond continued to ignore him and paid attention to his book. âBut I'm sure you know enough thanks to me.â Aemond tightened his hand on the book. âBut I never see you have fun so you might have to rely on your betrothed.âÂ
Aemond slammed the book shut and stood up.Â
âThey will be here soon.â He says and starts walking out of the library.Â
âThe ship was only recently spotted and even then they are still a few days out. Donât get your cock in a bunch.â Aegon mumbled the last bit into his cup. âOr maybe you canât wait to stick-.â He was cut off by the library door slamming shut.Â
-
Once the ship flying the flag of House Martell was seen on the Blackwater. The people of King's Landing were eager to see the Princesâ and the Princess themselves as most of them had only seen Dornish merchants.
The royal family went by carriage. Alicent gave her children one of her talks about being on their best behavior. It was mostly pointed at Aegon who sat there bored, Helaena sat fiddling with a bracelet, while Aemond looked out the windows. The carriage stopped just a few feet from the docks and a queen's guard member opened the door. Alicent stepped out first, followed by Helaena, then Aemond, and finally Aegon.Â
A few ships had already docked. Mostly merchants were eager to set up their shops or make deliveries. The ship said to be carrying the princess and the princes docked and a plank was lowered. A herald of Dorne stepped out first and looked at the family.Â
âPrince Ryon, Prince Deziel, and Princess Y/n Martell of Dorne!â People cheered loudly and clapped as they watched the three of you step off the boat.Â
You grab Dezielâs hand and he helps you step off. The guards stepped off after and cleared a path. Ryon and Deziel kept their hands on the hilds of their swords as they began walking.
âI see the Queen and her children,â Ryon says and juts his chin over the hill. You looked over and saw the red-headed woman and the three silver-headed princes and princess.Â
You looped yours and Dezielâs arms together and Ryon led you up the steps. You instantly saw the man who is your betrothed. He stood tall by his family, hands behind his back and a stoic look on his face.Â
âThe terrible, Prince Aemond,â Deziel whispers in your ear and you roll your eyes.
âStop, I'm sure they are just rumors.âÂ
âSure.âÂ
Ryon opened his arms with a smile.
âYour grace, how well it is to see you.â He says and grabs Alicents hands with care and brings them up to his plump lips.Â
âPrince Ryon, the last time I saw you, you were a child.â She says with a slight blush.Â
âYes, well as you see. I have grown quite a bit.â If you knew your brother, you were sure he gave the queen a wink and his charming smile that makes so many women and men fall at his feet. Alicents face went redder and Ryon squeezed her hands before releasing them. âAs much as I enjoy your presence, your grace, I was hoping to see the Hand. Speak to him about my sister and your second son.â Ryon flashed a look at Aemond.
âMy father has other matters but I assure you, the Princess will be taken care of.â Ryon looked around before nodding.
âMy brother will ride with all of you to the Keep as well. I still have other matters to deal with for my father.âÂ
âOf course.â The Queen says then looks at Aemond. âAemond.â She gave him a tight-lipped smile and he knew what that meant. He stepped forward, his long legs had him in front of you.Â
âPrincess, I'm glad you are here.â His voice was cold but his face was neutral. He grabbed your hand and kissed it softly. You squint your eyes at him before smiling brightly.
âPrince Aemond, it is lovely to meet you.âÂ
âHmm.â He dropped your hand and held his own back behind him. He stared at you, mostly taking you in while trying not to linger on your cleavage. Did you have a belly piercing?Â
âOh darling you should cover up a bit, someone brings the princess something to cover up.â Alicent urged and you instantly frowned.
âNo it's alright your grace, I wear clothes like this all the time.â She gave you a tight-lipped smile before nodding.
âWell we best get back, you must be exhausted.â Alicent walked back to the carriage and Aemond stayed by you.
âApologies about her, she is very modest.â He says and you shrug.
âWell, she is going to have to get used to it.â You say to him softly so nobody can hear. You received no response making you roll your eyes.Â
âLet's get you home Princess.â You frowned.
Home?
-
When you sat next to Aemond in the carriage, your perfume hit his nostrils. You smelled heavenly, like fruit with a twinge of the salty sea. Nobody spoke on the road back to the Keep.Â
But you and Deziel admired the outside. You had never been to Kings Landing so it was all new territory for you. It made you nervous.Â
The horses stopped in front of the Keep and the door popped open. The Queen and Helaena left first, then Aegon, followed by Deziel, and finally you and Aemond. The castle was huge, you and Deziel started at it in awe.Â
âIt's quite ugly.â He says quietly you gasp and slapped his arm.Â
âDeziel! Donât say things like that.â Everyone looked at you in confusion so you just smiled reassuringly. Â
âOur handmaiden, Thea.â Alicent beckoned over one of the servants. She was a pretty girl, with brown hair, fair skin, and green eyes. âI have assigned her to your service, she will lead you to your temporary chambers until a decision is made. Your brother as well will be shown his way.â
âThank you, your grace.â She squeezes your bicep before leaving to go inside.
âPrincess, would you like me to show you your room? I'm sure you are tired.â Thea asks and you nod.
âLead the way.â She gives you a big smile before turning around. You start to follow her and you see Deziel had already been led away. You locked eyes with Aemond who stood by the horses now, watching you. âI will see you later, Prince Aemond.âÂ
-
âYour things will be brought up shortly princess, would you like me to draw you a bath in the meantime?â Thea asks and points to the small tub in your new room.Â
âYes and if you have any salts that would be greatly appreciated.â They did a small bow before leaving. You were finally alone, even if it were for a couple of minutes. Your new room was only a bit bigger than the one back in Dorne but extremely boring.Â
You took the liberty of stepping onto the balcony to see where you would be living. The view was beautiful. Birds flew and you could see how tiny the small folk looked.Â
It all still looked so sad, maybe it was the time of day but it made you miss Dorne all the same. They came in with some help to fill up the tub with warm water. She then dumped some soothing salts into the water. Â
âWould you like help in undressing princess?â She asks and you shake your head.Â
âNo, that's quite alright, I will send for you once I'm ready.â She bowed and left. You hovered your hand over the water, letting the steam hit it. You slipped the material of your dress down your shoulder and it pooled at your feet. You kicked your flats off so they clattered on the floor. You grabbed the edges of the tub and slowly settled into the water.Â
The warm water was welcoming after being at sea for over a week. You could have slept in it if it werenât for a knock on the door.Â
âCome in!â You yelled out and the door creaked open and you heard footsteps.
âPrincess?â It was none other than your betrothed.
âOver here, Aemond.â You say and turn your head to face the panels that cover the tub from sight.Â
âI wondered-.â Aemond rounded the corner and the second he locked eyes on your state, his long legs had him behind the panels again.Â
âMy apologies, I will leave you to your business.â He said and there was a slight shake to his voice.
âCut the shit Aemond.â You say and he freezes. âCome back, I want to talk to you.â He didnât move but you could see the top of his head. âI want to see the face of a man I might marry when I talk to him.â
âYouâre not decent princess.â
âOh stop being so honorable for 5 minutes please.â He heard the water move around. Aemond sighed before rounding the corner and revealing himself again. His breath hitched when he saw your figure, you sat facing him and the lack of bubbles gave him a clear view of your breasts. âSoak it in my prince, who knows how long it will be before you see me like this again.âÂ
Aemonds face turned pink at your words and suddenly his boots were the most interesting thing in the world.
âYou stand strong but standing in the presence of a naked woman you shrink.â His fists squeezed. âWould you like to feel the touch of a woman?â
âWhat did you want to talk about my lady?â He says harshly, making you smirk.Â
âI want to talk about our potential betrothal. Regardless of our choice, its clear this is dire enough that we need to get married but I will ask you , Aemond.â He looked up, this time his eye solely on your face. âWill you sleep with anyone else?â
âNo, I will remain faithful to you during this as long as I receive the same from you. This isnât Dorne.â
âI am aware, Aemond.â You frown. âI would like to get to know you though, maybe something good can come out of this.â His jaw tightened but it then relaxed.
âOf course, my lady.âÂ
âY/n.â You say. âCall me by my name Aemond, we are going to get very close.â
âAs you wish.â Aemonds hands went behind his back.Â
âAs much as I enjoy having you here, I'm sure they are close to bringing my things, so I can either make room in this tub for you or you best be on your way.â You say and grab the bar of soap and washcloth. âOr you can watch and just hide.â There was an amusing look on your face.Â
He let out a âHmmâ and gave you a small smile.Â
âAnother time, Y/n.â Your name rolled off his tongue so fluently. Aemond walked away until he made it to the door and shut it behind him.Â
âYou will be the death of me Aemond Targaryen.â And your hand dips into the water to find a home in between your legs.

The thing about Thoschei that's so funny is that these are literally all the same people, meaning technically these are all the same ship.
We have these two. Yes? We know twissy. We love twissy.
We have spy doc, yeah? We love spydoc.
We have our beloved/beloathed Simmten. Everyone loves simmten.
We even have whatever these two weirdos had going on.
BUT - Have you ever ever thought about what would happen if you mixed them up? It feels illegal (as in, 'These two specifically are a bonded pair, do not separate' joking matter), but think about the chaos implications.
Can you fucking imagine if you shoved THIS man (6) with Simm! Master? Someone's gonna regenerate. Im not sure who yet. Mel's definitely gonna scream at him, though.
"Ello dear friend do you mind coming along and-"
"Why the fuck do you look like that?"
"Like what??"
"Like a unicorn stomped on you, ate you and puked you back up!"
"You don't like it? What's wrong with it? Is it the hair?"
"Is it the?- NO YOU MORON!"
Or Missy with 9? The amount of arguments and pouting- A lot of sarcastic banter. Maybe a hissy fit. A sissy slap fight if you will because deep down he would care if she got hurt so wouldn't actually ever hit her but would say some pretty mean things.
"Fine! Then go to your room!"
"I'll do no such thing! And you can't make me!"
"Then die! See if I care!"
"Only if you let me kill you first!!"
"Try! See what happens!"
"You dare hit a lady??"
"Pft- I'd hardly call you a lady..."
Yana! Master and 13? Tinker buddies! (They're basically in a love triangle with Chantho)
Roberts! Master with 15? I have a feeling this would kinda slap. Idk why, but I just do.
"So. What so you think?"
"Oh! Sister yes!!"
"... I am neither your sibiling.. nor a woman..?"
"Its an expression babes."
"Why are you calling me such affections??"
I feel in my gut that these two would get along decently well, except this time 12 is the bad influence, not him. If anything, it would consist of 12 showing him earthling things.
"...So.. Uno.."
"Yes."
"I have to have one card left..?"
"Yes."
"...why don't I just throw away my other cards?"
"That's against the rules I think."
"Says who?"
"Says... well... says.. the rules." đ
Dhawan! Master and 10? 10 could fix him within an episode. I'm sure of it. Hell 14 could fix him. Might take a little longer, though. Dhawan would make tea for him after they go to therapy together. Their therapist says they should work on their co-dependency, but they think she just "doesn't get their dynamic"
I think it would be really funny if we shoved 4 with missy too. Sarah Jane and her would have so much beef. It would be unreal. I do think that Dhawan would be fond of K9 the most though, and Simm would probably be the type to get jealous of a robotic dog...

Universal Misunderstandings
Summary: Based on @keferon's Mech Pilot Jazz AU. Jazz is a Mech Pilot who gets lost in space.
I wrote this in like... an hour, so I'm sorry if it isn't very good. I just needed to get it out, even if it's a little clunky. (Also I don't write Jazz and Prowl often, so they might be a bit ooc)
If you had asked Jazz what was the craziest thing he ever saw, he would say the moment the giant ships entered earthâs atmosphere for the first alien invasion. Or maybe when he joined the mecha program to fight those aliens, and saw the mecha suits they would be piloting for the first time.
He wasnât sure if meeting a race of giant robots was any crazier than that, but it was at least top three now.
Being a mecha pilot was surprisingly routine in some ways, similar to the times he was a NASCAR driver in some strange ways. How he would check his machine before every mission, how he piloted it like it was an extension of him, and how painfully aware he was of the danger all around him.
Only now, instead of being at risk of crashing into another driver or spinning off the track, he was at risk of being killed by giant aliens with five faces and so many tentacles.
No one was even sure why the aliens attacked in the first place, only that they desired some sort of potent energy source that was only discovered after they drove the aliens from one of their mines on Earth - and what was found in them revolutionized their technology forever.
They called them Lightning Crystals, based on the blue glow and the little shocks they delivered. The crystals were rare, but extremely potent in energy unparalleled by anything on earth.
Exactly what they needed. Oh, sure for solving global warming and creating efficient technology of course. But they also were the missing element in the new M.E.C.H. program â giant robots which could be controlled by a single person, able to pack as much punch as the aliens. With the Lightning Crystals, they could power these giant machines and finally drive them from their planet.
Jazz was one of the top pilots, though his Mech Suit was focused on rescuing people from peril and buying time as they evacuated a city that would be attacked. It was almost once a month, or several times if they were unlucky â the aliens would land, attempt to get a foothold on their planet, but were driven off by the Mecha. Only to appear again the next time.
And so, the routine was set. Go out, punch some aliens, retreat and recover, and start all over again later. It wasnât glamourous, but Jazz knew he was doing his part in protecting the planet.
That changed when the Space Program was initialized.
The director of MECH realized they needed some sort of foothold in space, to fight back before they landed on the planet and destroy the ships they had just out of striking range out in the void.
Jazz was selected as one of the first, as his smaller robot would be more ideal for space travel â or so they told him, he wasnât totally sure if that was bullshit or not anymore.
And so, Jazz found himself being launched into space to fight Aliens. He wasnât sure when exactly his life turned into an anime, but it definitely felt like one.
During the fight though, something went wrong.
Jazz had been thrown into one of their ships, there was frantic beeping and flashing, and suddenly he felt his whole body feel every sensation at once â and when he got his bearings and noticed the ship was in motion again, he realized, with a sinking terror, that he couldnât see earth in any direction around him.
His worst fears were only confirmed when he was thrown off the small space shuttle, and couldnât contact ground support after he crashed onto an unknown planet.
He had to take a few hours to himself, and screamed inside his mech suitâs protective armour. Jazz didnât know when he passed out from crying, but he felt somewhat refreshed. Not any better, but⌠not exhausted.
All things considered⌠he would be alright for a little while. He found more lightning crystals on the planet, and had some rations he could stretch out for awhile. But he wasnât sure what to do, without any idea where he was or how to contact home.
He set up his homing beacon, and just hoped again all odds that maybe it would be picked up by someone.
-
Prowl wasnât a very social cybertronian, everyone knew that about him. He wasnât anti-social, but he didnât have an easy time communicating with others.
He would be too blunt, or maybe just not react the right way, and suddenly they were upset for reasons he didnât immediately recognize. He got better at learning what was and wasnât acceptable in the broad terms, but he struggled with specifics sometimes.
But Prowl was also brilliant â that wasnât ego, it was repeated often enough that even he had to accept it. The Tac-Net within his processor was faster than any standard internal strategy computer, but that was only a tool. His processor was able to churn through all the data it gave him, and utilize it to its fullest extent with his own creativity and intelligence.
It made him one of the vital assets to the Autobots, and later to the combined cybertronian armies which fought the Quintessons â a walking battle computer, able to analyze a battle field and begin a counter strategy before the opponent even realized it.
So, his communication issue was merely a minor inconvenience in comparison.
Even still, he didnât have many friends, and he was used to his own company. Prowl didnât think on it often, just focusing on his task.
Prowl was alone while crossing a large stretch of uninhabited space, a spiral galaxy system which consisted of planets either barren or void of sentient life, when he received the ping on his console.
Unknown Energy Signature, Distress Beacon Detected. Prowl frowned as he read across his screen, because it didnât make sense at first. He pulled the ship around for a second look before he lost the signal, and saw it was located on a nearby planet.
His Tac Net spat back possibilities when probed, ranging from âQuintesson Trapâ to âNew Emerging Sentient Lifeâ, and he deemed the risk low enough to check at least.
Prowl wasnât a social mech, but he wasnât as heartless as some soldiers said he was.
-
Jazz didnât notice the ship until it was almost right above him, but he was still in his Mech Suit luckily enough. Using the larger bulk of this robotic body, he tried to wave the ship down using his long arms with a burst of frantic energy.
The Mech robot was psychically linked to himself, and so it was easy enough to arrange the machineâs body to look like a crazy person looking to hitchhike on the highway. He didnât care though, only happy that someone, anyone, had found him.
It definitely wasnât human, there were basically no ships of this design and even if there were none had launched yet. Another alien race didnât seem too far off either, whoever they were. But really, they could be made of goo and Jazz would probably hug them in thanks.
He only really started to realize that this might be a bad thing when the ship landed, because that thing had some pretty big guns. Or maybe those weird energy blasters he saw before, and this was one of the aliens trying to colonize his planet.
Still though, he swallowed his fears and put on a brave face â even if no one else saw. He strutted up to the large ship like he owned it, and⌠waited.
The ship door opened soon enough, lowering down into a ramp, and out stepped⌠another robot?
Jazz blinked, suddenly very aware of his body inside of the mech suit, when he saw it⌠or them?
He didnât know what to think, seeing the human-like face and odd proportions of their body. Was this another mech suit of some sort? Why did it have wheels?
Jazz had to snap out of it, because the robot started talking to him.
âDobbqfkdp,â they said with a stoic demeanour, âxj F ql xpprjb vlr ibcq qeb afpqobpp pfdkxi? F txpkâq xtxob qebob txp olylqfz ifcb qefp cxo lrq fkql qeb dxixuv.â
Unfortunately, Jazz didnât understand a word of it. The robot was holding the blaster on their hip, obviously ready to attack if Jazz proved hostile.
Hesitantly, he turned on his communications radio and spoke.
âUmm, sorry my guy, but I donât know what youâre saying? Iâm a bit new around here is all,â he said with a somewhat nervous laugh. He almost wished his own mech had a face, so he could express how he wasnât hostile.
There was silence for a moment, the wind blowing by around them and picking up a barrage of maroon plantlife that looked like flowerpetals. It was serene to see, but Jazz kept his focus on the robot whose eyes were widening in surprise.
They then cleared their throat, deliberately taking their hand off the gun and offered something. Jazz stepped forwards hesitantly, seeing it was a small chip.
The robot gave a forced smile, obviously trying to not appear threatening but looking awkward instead. âJv xmlildfbp. Bah-weep-Graaaghnah, weep ni ni bong.â
Somehow, against what was rational, the phrase they said made Jazz relax a little. It was a ridiculous nonsense in English, but somehow it made the offer seem less unknown.
Hesitantly, Jazz accepted the chip and plugged it into his mech. His eyes nearly bugged out when it started interfacing with his systems, almost pulling it out, before seeing what it was doing â it was scanning the coding and language of his mechâs sytems, pulling them out into a strange dictionary. Soon, it was done with a PING, and the chip ejected itself.
Holy shit, he thought, they have a fucking universal translator, like Star Trek!
The robotâs hand was extended again, obviously asking for the chip, and Jazz gingerly placed it back in the robotâs open palm â somehow having five fingers, which somehow was one of the first things Jazz noticed right now.
He was really overwhelmed, okay?!
The robot inserted the chip into the back of their head, and Jazz had a sinking realization.
Maybe he was jumping the gun, but the way the robotâs eyes went dim briefly as it processed the chip, made Jazz think is this an actual sentient robot?!
âThank you, I suppose this must be very confusing for you,â the robot then said, in perfect English.
âUgh⌠kind of?â He said, shrugging slightly which translated to his robot around him. It was a reflex hard to break, even if it was unnecessary for his mech to emote.
âWeâve known about aliens, but this is the first time Iâm meeting one that doesnât want to kill me,â he said, with a slight laugh at himself. âSorry, this is really weird.â
âWell,â the mech said, giving a soft smile which looked much more genuine, âIâm sure my kind will be eager to welcome another robotic race to the galaxy.â
Jazzâs mind went blank, as he had two sudden realizations.
Holy shit, I was right, this is an actual sentient robot who is actually talking to me, quickly followed by, they think Iâm also a robot.
This⌠might be messy.
Despite this, Jazz just gave a nod, âWell, Iâm sure the feeling is mutual!â He said awkwardly.
âNow⌠can you help me off this planet?â
The robot gave a brisk nod. âOf course, itâs not uncommon for new space faring species to have transwarping incidents like these. Come with me, my people will help you get home.â
Without any better options, Jazz hopped onto the ship. As he went inside, he realized the whole thing was scaled to the giant robot he was with. Scaled to his mech as well, conveniently enough.
âSo, could I get your name?â Jazz said, as he finally was getting ahold of his anxiety. At least he wasnât dead, and he was going home, so suddenly this was feeling a lot less intimidating.
âOf course, Iâm Prowl of Praxus. You?â
âUmmm, Jazz. Jazz Wilson,â he said.
âVery well, itâs nice to meet you Jazz Jazz Wilson,â Prowl said, and somehow that phrase, which wasnât nearly the craziest part of this situation, got a bark of laughter from Jazz.
âJust Jazz is fine. Itâs nice to meet you too Prowl.â
He got a nod of acknowledgement, as the ship flared to life and prepared for takeoff.
Jazz might need to sleep for a decade when he gets home.
(Translation for Prowl Earlier: Greetings, am I to assume you left the distress signal? I wasnât aware there was robotic life this far out into the galaxy.)
I also won't apologize for using the transformers universal greeting :P, I love that thing. Canonically, it's a phrase so ridiculous that anyone who says it must mean no harm - which is why Jazz somewhat relaxes when he hears it despite not knowing what it means.
I hope you liked this short little story (â§ââŚ)ďž it's more just exploring the concept than anything.
Also sorry for using the term mech or mecha wrong, I don't watch enough anime ( ´シシ)ďž(._.`)

Hey listen, this is something important to me so I'm just gonna ask you to consider doing this
I just spent however long writing something custom (which I'll put after a read more) cause I actually had things I want to say, but you don't need to do that, they've got a preset message you can use if you want
I've been following this invasion since day 1, and I've been actually asking for exactly this for a while now... just with no one to say it to
If you've got questions about what this is even about, ask me
If you've got concerns, tell em to me, I got answers
I'm not asking you to just blindly do this (though I won't tell you no if you want to), this is important to me, I know a fair bit about the subject, I am more than happy to talk to you about it
You want the summary of things though, it's that russian planes bomb Ukrainian civilians (like just today there was a story about a literal playground being bombed, along with the usual apartments) and our current policies won't allow them to use US missiles to strike russian airfields (and NATO allies won't either because we basically get to make this call)
People are dying, changing this policy will help with that, that's why I'm asking you to ask the White House to change this
Anyway, what I wrote below the break
I am grateful for the supplemental aid package President Biden provided Ukraine in April, but restrictions on US weapons use against valid military targets in Russia is hampering Ukraine's ability to defend both it's military and civilians (and let's be blunt, NATO allies like the UK or Germany are not going to authorize their long range munitions to be used unless the US does, we clearly set the rules here)
I've been following this invasion since day 1, every day I check what's been happening in Ukraine. I've followed through the Kharkiv offensive, followed as NATO crossed "red line" after "red line" (Stingers were a red line, then tanks were a red line, and of course F-16s were a major red line⌠yet Russia never acted once we sent them), followed as Speaker Johnson delayed military aid for months with partisan politics, up to today where I continue to follow Ukraine (for instance just today a 14 year old girl was killed by Russian bombs, fired from planes that took off from airfields we refuse to let Ukraine fire upon)
I understand escalation management, I'm not oblivious to why this administration has taken a cautious course, but between permitting Ukraine to fire US short range munitions shortly after Russia's attempts to move towards Kharkiv (a good choice which blunted that offensive and, again, resulted in no reprisals aside from more attacks on Ukrainian civilians⌠which happen no matter what); as well as Ukraine's counter offensive into the Kursk region of Russia (which invasion of Russian territory is one of the places Russian doctrine explicitly allows the use of nuclear weapons⌠and yet⌠again, nothing), there's been a strong demonstration that the White House's hesitancy to permit the use of long range weapons only serves to get Ukrainian civilians killed
This isn't just my opinion as an American citizen either, the retired Gen. Ben Hodges has repeatedly called for this. Every time I listen to him speak these days without fail he says not to "shoot the arrows, but to shoot the archer", which he explicitly states that he means that striking Russian airbases deep in Russian territory with long range missiles like ATACMS is preferable by far to forcing Ukraine to attempt to intercept incoming drones, missiles, and guided bombs
Ukraine has show itself to be a clever and steadfast ally. They have done so much not only to defend themselves, but to also achieve a major win for US and NATO security, the weakening of Putin's Russia
Thanks to Ukraine, Russia's ability to wage war on NATO neighbors has been decimated, and Russia's geopolitical influence around the world has been severely decreased, and thanks to US and EU cooperation the EU's dependence on Russian gas has dropped to almost nothing. Yet nothing is set in stone, we aren't over the finish line and Ukraine still needs our support, and currently the single best piece of support we can offer is a simple policy change, to let Ukraine strike valid military targets in Russia
This war goes beyond securing Europe against the single greatest threat to them, Russia; our actions here will also strongly impact China and Taiwan in the coming years. There's no way that this administration isn't just as aware as I am (or likely more so) that China is paying very close attention to how we treat our allies⌠do we support them or leave them to invaders for fear of escalation?
We as NATO truthfully have done a middling job, oscillating between staunch support and then starving Ukraine of the resources and policies they need to win (often because of partisan politics in the US and EU from politicians who seem a little too friendly towards Putin, and far too disdainful for Ukraine)
It's time to finish strong. The past is past, we can't change it, but we get to choose who we are now. I want to be part of an America who stands up for freedom, who supports our allies, and who refuses to let Russia continue their attacks on civilians
Let Ukraine use our weapons on all military targets in Russia! The only range restriction I want in place is the range of the system in question. Let our ally use our military aid to decimate Russian airbases and Russian aircraft, which are the single greatest threat to Ukrainian civilians!
Do the right thing, do what military men like retired Gen. Ben Hodges keep asking this administration to. Every red line has been crossed, both by NATO and Ukraine and we've seen that Russia's most powerful weapon is their saber rattling
Had I known where to write, I would have written much sooner, but now that I know I'm tempted to write every week till this changes (though don't delay like that, every day puts more Ukrainian lives at our feet, our fault that these civilians were killed due to our failure to give the permission so desperately needed to destroy the aircraft killing them). This is a deeply important issue to me, and based off this administration's actions up till now I know that everyone must understand it's importance even beyond Ukraine (Iranian drones, North Korean artillery⌠this isn't happening in isolation)
I understand this policy comes from a place of good intentions, to keep the world from facing nuclear annihilation. This is the first war of it's kind with a nuclear power fighting it, I understand the caution⌠but regions of Kursk are controlled by Ukraine and Putin barely acknowledges it, or weapons were used to strike military targets in Belgorod in order to protect Kharkiv and they were only met with more empty bluster
Give Ukraine permission to strike military targets in Russia with our weapons
Razom For Ukraine has made a website to help people in the US contact their government to let them know that Ukraine should be able to strike back.
#I'm going to schedule this for some time tomorrow when more people are awake#seriously though... you got questions; I will do my best to answer them; and I know this stuff; I don't have to dodge questions#if you read what I sent you probably know most of what those answers will be; but they're good answers#and if you're saying 'why should I care about Ukraine' well... one I gotta be honest with you; it's just cause they're people#but if you want reasons it matters outside of Ukraine (aside from places like Iran being allies or russia)#(and the fact Iran treats it's civilians so badly... seriously... I thought we were all made only like a year ago)#(at how they murdered a woman... all those Iranian protests? did we just... forget that happened?)#but as for ways Ukraine impacts other parts of the world; just googling 'ukraine food aid to palestine'#got me a number of articles that look like they were from around july 18th about 1000 tons of flour being shipped to Palestine#Ukraine is a major provider of food to a lot of places in Africa and the Middle East; it's good they've opened the way to shipping again#but in order to not just toss out an idle claim; typed in 'africa food shortage ukraine' and sure enough#got a lot of articles from 2022 talking about effects from this war on African nations#this stuff matters; Ukraine matters; even if you don't care about Ukraine; I bet I can find a connection to something you care about#one thing paying attention to this war has made me realize is how interconnected everything is in this modern world#I don't know... just ask; you got questions; you got concerns; just ask me with a little good faith and I'll gladly answer#(ie. you hit me with talking about how russia isn't imperialist and I'll have to like you a lot to want to keep talking)#(like it's a lot of effort to want to explain why something like that is so obviously wrong; I need to know you're not just trolling)#(but you want to ask me why it's safe to change this policy; I'll give you concrete reasons and examples)#and listen; if I don't know the answer to something we'll go look together#I'm not trying to smooth talk you; I'm 100% convinced I'm right and that facts and reality back me up#...ask me and then ask our government to stop getting people killed with this policy#side note; cause I feel like people might just ask#why do I talk about Ukraine but not Palestine? cause I know a lot (for an American) about Ukraine#but I know nada of substance about Palestine; my voice is just gonna add to the noise#I see people say 'you really should know about this person or that person before you're talking on Palestine'#well I don't know those people; and it think the people who say I should are honestly correct#Ukraine and Palestine have a lot more in common than people seem to realize; and it's called having your civilians bombed#don't be pitting anyone against anyone; seriously#but why I talk about Ukraine and not Palestine?#cause I can talk about what's going on; I can talk about what went on; I can talk about wagner's role

Iâve seen you post some labru stuff and Iâm curious what your thoughts on it are. personally I donât see it? I can buy Kabru having feelings for Laios, but I think Laios wouldnât be interested in Kabru, so it makes me wonder why so many people ship them. (Tbh I feel like Kabru has more chemistry with Mithrun anyway)
Sorry if this ask sounds rude, I just genuinely donât understand the appeal of the ship, but I want to understand and I trust your analysis of characters very much :] maybe thereâs something Iâm missing
I really like both ships, actually!
For labru, thereâs sooooo much I could talk about. The inherent homoeroticism of being narrative foils. The inherent homoeroticism of being the kingâs advisor. All of chapter 76. The fact that Kabru has mask upon mask upon mask, and Laios is the first person that made his facade absolutely crumble.
Kabru struggles with being genuine!!! Everything he says and does is so perfectly calculated, even when he sort of means it. But since Laios doesnât get social cues, Kabru gets thrown for a loop.
I get so frustrated when people act like Kabru still hates Laios by the end of the manga!!!!! He killed those corpse retrievers for being corrupt, and yet he couldnât bring himself to kill Laios. He has such a strong sense of justice, and knew that killing Laios would be a mistake. Because, after meeting him, he could tell he wasnât actually evil. Heâs strange, sure, but not evil.
Kabru DEFINITELY wants to be friends with Laios!! He was not lying about this!!!
But this last comic shows how much Laios wants to be friends with Kabru, too. Heâs so nervous after calling Kabru his friend đ he doesnât want to be presumptuous and fuck it up again.
Laios does show an interest in Kabru, at least when Laios thinks heâs interested in eating monsters too. Like,, what was up with THIS
Laiosâs gaze is LINGERING. Plus, (this is before that bit at Thistleâs house when he forgets his name) he brings up Kabru when they first form their plan to eat Falin.
And maybe this is just because of my own personal experiences, but Laios reminds me a lot of my own girlfriend. I think they have a similar flavor of gay/aspec & autism combo where, had I not asked her out first, she probably never would have considered being interested in me. But she was very down when I did.
The tricky part about labru is more the political aspect. Regardless of whether you see Laios as aroace or not, heâs in a situation where he will probably get married. He had a fiancĂŠe before he was age 13, likely betrothed since he was a baby. Heâs already comfortable with the idea of getting married because Heâs Supposed To.
However, Laios is king, and could make gay marriage legal if he wanted to (He would probably do this for his sister and Marcille before considering it for himself ). But at the same time, I think Kabru would object to Laios making whatever policies he wants without considering the repercussions of how other kingdoms might react, especially when theyâre just getting Melini off the ground and need lots of support from other countries. Laios and Kabru getting gay married anyway and dealing with the aftermath could make for a really compelling story.
I do think Kabru would be a good ruler. Heâs already fit for it. He speaks a dozen languages, he knows people and their motivations, and likes politics. The manga already joked about Chilchuckâs daughters trying to marry a king, so it seems like noble blood isnât too important, but Kabruâs foster family IS nobility. When it comes to heirs, I do like trans Kabru headcanons, but at the same time, I think itâd be cute if they adopt anyway. Kabru seems like heâd have strong feelings about adoption given,,, yknow.
The alternative version of labru to this is Laios gets straight married out of obligation, and Kabru is his mistress hdhdhshsj. I donât know if I could see Laios doing that? or if Kabru would risk the scandal of being outed as Royal Advisor and Regent trying to seduce the king. It could go SO downhill. but maybe that would be fun.
NOW FOR KABUMISU.
I knew people shipped them, and I could see the basis for it while reading, but I wasnât really sold on it until the very end. Thereâs something about âI had no desires left. I decided to create new desires, and one of them is youâ thatâs really charming.
Thereâs also something funny about âthe demon ate my heterosexuality so Iâm gay nowâ
I think itâs interesting that Kabru hates elves. He was raised by them, and he hates them. He hates feeling patronized by them. He made absolutely sure that elves wouldnât take control over Melini, not just for his sake, but for Rinâs.
But Mithrunâs interactions with Kabru are founded on more mutual respect. Though, thatâs not to say that Mithrun doesnât still have his biases towards short lived races..
Where Laios doesnât understand social cues, Mithrun does but just doesnât care. For that reason, I think Kabru would enjoy spending time with Mithrun. Itâd give him a break from his compulsion to calculate all of his social interactions. But at the same time, Kabru is the KING at bottling his emotions. Mithrun is blunt, but also doesnât care enough to pry. If Kabru had anything bothering him, I could imagine him seeking Mithrunâs company to avoid thinking about it. Could make for a fun dynamic.
I do think itâs funny that Milsiril 1) took care of Mithrun for potentially 20 years and 2) is only four years older than him. I imagine this could lead to funny situations.
I donât ship things for no reason! I think both of these could work platonically, romantically, one-sided, or even ârequited but they donât do anything about it.â Their relationships compel me and I think itâs sort of bad faith to brush off either like theyâre nothing more than baseless yaoi pair-the-spares. To me, I see just as much of a foundation in the source material as farcille.
After all, dungeon meshi isnât a story about romance, but it IS a story about love. Itâs a story about life and death and grief and the love that comes with it. Regardless of shipping, these characters love each other!!! And I love talking about it!!
