having a rough go of it so am typing this up instead of paying attention during class…lemme talk abt weinerham and origami angel for a sec

Origami Angel is a band that I’ve loved for years, but when I fixated on this year RC9GN, their music became a fixture of my character playlists — first Randy’s, then the weinerham mix

and because Origami Angel became a fixation-by-association, I kinda view their music as how 30 Seconds to Math sounds once the boys are all grown up. if you’re not familiar w this band and you enjoy loud guitars & harsh drums with a side of heartfelt lyrics, i 1000% recommend them !! start w the Somewhere City album, it’s their best :3

Mobius Chicken Strip is THEE weinerham song to me, from sound to lyrics to vibe. even the title is their vibe!! it’s silly and clever and does nothing to tell you how poetic and emotional the actual song is. and that’s saying something, cuz there’s a LOT of songs that I think fit weinerham perfectly !! but — as I’ve said time and time again — weinerham’s core is their friendship. they have got each other’s backs no matter what. the romance is a bonus. MCS nails that on the head, I think.

now…weinerham wedding….i have to be fully honest guys. i DO think their vows are done in song. idc if it’s out of character idc that it’s cliche. listen to Find Your Throne and think about it as coming from Randy, for Howard. I’ve said this before, but no one in canon ever gives Howard the respect or recognition he deserves. nor do the writers!!! and a common anti-Howard argument I see is that Randy can do better. so there’s something deeply special to me about Randy being Howard’s number-one cheerleader/defender/supporter. FYT makes me ILL.

and it goes both ways! Randy, outside of being the ninja, is just some guy. unlike Howard, he doesn’t get along with other people super easy. he is capital-D Devoted to Howard, but Howard never thanks him for it. (my explanation for this is that he has trouble expressing emotions.) so I present to you: Skeleton Key. Howard’s vows, one big thank-you for everything Randy has done and will continue to do. Howard’s promise that, even when he can’t say it, he sees Randy and loves him back just as much as Randy loves him. are u feeling sick yet because I AM.

and finally, where would I be without mentioning Looking Out for You? this was the song that started it all — the first time I connected weinerham with Origami Angel. again, I view it from Randy’s perspective, just because I view him as the ‘softer’ of the two, if only by a small margin lol. I dont have much else to say I just wanted an excuse to recommend this band to all of you LOL
