Weeks. It had been weeks of you being left here in the dark damp room. After your initial failed escape plan, the man who came and hurt you everyday, whom you later learned was named Feitan, had begun to bring you a small piece of the morning newspaper. It was your only source of entertainment as well as knowledge about the outside world. Nothing significant ever happened, you just looked at the date and tried to distract your mind with the light read. 

It was getting colder too. You could feel the chill of the outside in your room. There was always a bite in the air that you felt in your bones whenever the door opened and Feitan came in. The nice man named Chrollo had offered you a real blanket once. You had shrugged him off, trying to hold onto your last shreds of free will. Your sensible side always got angry and screamed at you to accept the heat. 

Chrollo came almost everyday and repeated his offer to you. Everytime you would say no, but he would still stay. He was the only form of comfort in the cold darkness so naturally you clung onto it, quite literally sometimes. 

Some days he would stay silently by the door and read. This could be silently or out loud to you, it would vary. He always came in with a different book, always mentioning the importance of reading whenever you asked about it. Other days he would ask you about your life and in turn he would answer perhaps one question that you asked about his favorite things. You deduced that he was probably incredibly disinterested in topics regarding himself. You didn’t mind, he had a smooth voice and you had missed having conversations. Once he had even brought you a set of chess for the two of you to play. You could tell that he enjoyed spending some time with you. 

There was another time when you had visibly shivered due to the cold right in front of him. He let out a little grin and hugged you, simply saying that his warm body could easily give you more heat than your clothes. You had clung onto him for what felt like hours all while he whispered sweet nothings into your ear. 

It was one day you were feeling resistant when you asked about his past that he had seemed incredibly off-put. You made the stupid mistake of pressing further and asking about what would happen to you if you kept saying no to his offers. It fueled you to edge him on even if you knew it could lead to your demise. His eyes had held a dull fire as he left and slammed the door shut behind him. Perhaps your taunting had been a little too much.  

He didn’t come back for a week. When he was gone Feitan also stopped bringing the med kit. This made your wounds more aggravated and the torture much more painful. It was slowly breaking down your body and will. The food given to you also was much less nutritious. It was clear that these people, if you could even call them that, no longer cared for your well being. So they’ve decided that they no longer need me, huh, I really am going to die here. 

Surprisingly you were okay with this. The pain was numbing and prevented you from really thinking about anything else. When your injuries had been lighter, you still had the ability to think of rescue and your friends. Now even the thought of your soulmate sent lightning hot flashes of pain through your body. Looking at your soulmark made you want to throw up, since you would have to see the mark of the 12-legged spider right next to it. You sigh and curl up onto the icy floor. Your clothes were damp and bloody, making the chill in your bones even greater. At least when Chrollo came he would allow you to get a new shirt if it had gotten too bloody. You wouldn’t even get to die with your dignity now. 

He had come in rather uneventfully. Quietly closing the door behind him. He came to your room and opened his book. Silent, more silent than usually. It confirmed your suspicion that they were finally going to get rid of you once and for all. 

“Yes,” you voice out weakly. You refused to say more. Your will had given out, but you knew in your soul that if you stayed here any longer then you would die, either from the neglect or from your wounds and the sickness you knew was growing within them. This man could make the excruciating pain go away and all you wanted to do was hope that he would keep his word. Hope was something you had gone dry of. 

He turns back, raven locks slightly obscuring his gleaming eyes. He had the faintest smile on his face, “I’m glad.” He walked towards you slowly, as if you were a wounded animal, which in all honesty you probably looked like right now. He leaned down at your level and gave you a hug. His warmth and smell invade every part of your body. You didn’t mind because now you might survive, “Let me take you to your new room,” his smile grew larger and now more sincere as took your hand, hoisting you up. 

You tried to move, but your legs didn’t seem to listen to your brain and you promptly fell down. You scrunch your eyes close and expect your face to get smashed onto the ground, a final embarrassment. Surprisingly, Chrollo had caught you. You suppose that he decided that you wouldn’t be able to walk on your own so he carried you bridal style. How his lean frame managed to support your entire body weight surprised you. His mellow scent slowly eased you to sleep in his arms. This would be the first night's sleep in a while where you felt genuinely secure.

Waking up in this new room was bliss. You don’t remember being in as much ease and comfort before. The bed was empty but a window allowed for a single ray of light to come in. You hadn’t been around true sunlight in so long. Your mind briefly wandered to where you could possibly be but that thought was pushed away with a loud growl of your stomach. Oh right, you think, I need to eat something. You got up slowly from the bed and started walking towards the door. You turned the knob slowly, expecting to get electrocuted or something.   

You opened it and padded slowly down the hall hoping to run into Chrollo or at least get to a kitchen-like area on your own. He had probably changed you in your sleep as you were now wearing real clothes in the form of sweatpants and a huge shirt. It was a huge step up from your tattering bloody rags. You kept trudging on and eventually found yourself in what looked to be a common room area. The hallways so far seemed to indicate that this place was an old hotel or maybe a dorm room. You weren’t too sure, honestly you didn’t even know if you were still in York New City. 

The air here smelled damp and sour, like people who sweat and had just exercised lay down on the couches and let their stink stay permanently. I hope I don’t smell like that you thought briefly before you made a left and found yourself in a kitchen. 

Maybe I should have waited for Chrollo, you scolded yourself as you look through the pantry for something good to eat. You had been starved for weeks after all. As you finally reach for a bag of pop tarts on the shelves you hear someone walk in. You quickly grab it and attempt to make yourself as small and non threatening as possible. You take in the appearance of the people who had come into the kitchen, a familiar pink haired woman as well as a short haired blonde woman who had an interesting form of clothing. The pink haired one only chuckled at your meek demeanor and gave you a hand with the food. 

“Paku, this is Y/N, our newest and most gorgeous recruit” she announced lightly and moved to heat up your pop tarts. 

“Pleasure to meet you,” her calming voice was directed at you. You smiled loopily at the blonde, she was hot you think to yourself.  

“All done! Time to go to the meeting,” she called out to you and handed you a plate of your steaming breakfast. Lightly patting your head, trying not to startle you too much. They’re both so hot, you continue thinking. Their stares make you feel overwhelmed, you don’t remember ever being around such beautiful people. 

“Meeting?” you ask weakly as you take a bite. The sugary flavor explodes in your mouth making you let out a soft moan from the happiness of it. 

She and Paku share a smile before saying, “The leader called a few of us to a meeting, just some basic introductions is all.”  you only nod and continue eating. When you finish you hurriedly clean your space and let Paku and the pink haired woman named Machi lead you expertly through the halls of this new home.  

You come across a large empty space with some rubble and chairs where Paku lets you sit in between her and Machi. They had made pleasant small talk with you through the walk and gave you a vague idea of the layout of the area. You were definitely going to get lost but they had put you in so much ease that you felt safe with them leading the way. You had been the first to arrive and sat together in a peaceful atmosphere. 

As time goes by, some people start trickling into the meeting space. You take note of a person wrapped up in bandages as well as a girl with glasses in a cute black turtleneck. A very large man with strange looking ears had come in last. They had greeted your companions and had largely ignored you before sitting down. It wasn’t until a few minutes later that your savior had come in looking quite different. He seemed quieter and more serious, but his entire look had changed. His normally loose raven locks were now slicked back on his head. He seemed less human this way, but if he was really the boss then it didn’t surprise you too much that he looked the way he did. His entire aura simply radiated authority, but in a subtle way. You had noticed how everyone in the room had perked up and stood at attention when he had come in. Even the aloof looking girl in glasses was paying attention.

“Good morning,” he remarked in that familiar smooth voice. You crooned on the inside just hearing it. “As you all know we have our newest potential member here to perhaps take spot number 11,” he stopped briefly as everyone in the room nodded their heads slightly, “and to make sure that she is fit to take that place, I want her to go on her very first mission as a sort of recruitment exercise. It will be a perfect way to test her skills and get her comfortable with the rest of us,” he didn’t look at you but at this point everyone in the room was beginning to glance your way, trying to see what kind of reaction those words would elicit. You remained unmoved by his words, trying to keep a stoic demeanor. “It’s going to be a difficult mission that will only require one other member. Their job is to just assist, but not lead, I want Y/N to do that,” he finished as he looked at you for the first time since he came in the room. His eyes held pride, you knew that he believed you would pass this test. Your lips curved into the smallest and softest of smiles. He continued, “I don’t plan on assigning anybody, so whoever wants to go can just volunteer.”

Machi raised her hand swiftly. She smiled at you and announced, “I’ll go with Y/N,”

Chrollo nodded at her and replied, “Very well, everyone else may leave and go about their business for the day. Machi and Y/N, stay so I can tell you what I want from you two.” With that the rest of the group made their way out of the room. Paku waved at you before also turning and leaving. 

“There’s going to be a museum showing some of the rarest objects in the hunter world. It’s nothing like the auction as these items are more private and are owned by famous pro-hunters. In turn the museum only allows pro-hunters in. I desire one of the rarest nen blades that’s currently being shown off for about 5 billion Jenny. I have the utmost faith in the two of you,” he grinned and left. Your stomach filled with dread, having no idea how you were supposed to complete this task. Machi grins at you too and pats your shoulder. 

“Good Luck, Y/N!” she laughs, “I’ll meet you back in your room in about an hour to discuss plans on entering tonight. I really like you so I hope for your sake that you can get the blade.” she leaves you to your worried deliberations. So this was the life of a thief huh?

haikyuu: vvvv wholesome and pure, friendship is v important, v emotional, v funny, i really really enjoy the relationships that the charas have with each other, and just,,,, nice hunter x hunter: also a huge slap of wholesomeness, but it’s also v…. different and often deviates from Typical Shonen. i enjoy how togashi handles some things unexpectedly (pls excuse my incoherence and lack of eloquence LOL) but like for ex when opponents would see gon and killua they’d be like ‘lol they’re just kids lmao’ but then it’s like,,, they’re actually v Strong??? and also oh when he does that thing where something earlier in the series is brought up again in a subtle way??? like in the beginning of the hunter exam, killua drank like ten cans of tonpa’s (oh yeah he’s someone who i h8ted totally forgot about him) orange juice (i’m gonna say orange because saying that killua drank tonpa’s juice sounds kinda uh unwanted) it ended with him asking for one last one, but we never saw him drink it so it was assumed he did. but it turns out he used it for later when they got to the second stage of the exam where they all had to get through the moss??? lands and gon and killua got trapped in that huge frog thing and that’s sO COOL

You know you'd think Kurapika's temper would have come out of his trauma or something because it's so severe. But I remember in his backstory chapter when those guys called Pairo a slur, cripple, Kurapika was 100% ready to literally kill those people. Like he wasn't just beating them up he said "die" like holy shit. Makes me think that even back then Kurapika wasn't as happy go lucky as Gon. (if we're comparing 12 year old Kurapika to 12 year old Gon).

Ooooh ye Kurapika had a really quick temper even as a kid.

I think there’s still some things to compare him with Gon with as a kid. They both grew up in the wilderness, wanting more, wanting to see the world, admiring Hunters. They get excited when talking about the stuff they love.

Even there, they would both get really angry if you threaten people they love - just looking at how Gon reacted to Illumi after the incident with Killua. And in anger, they don’t exactly think through, Gon was ready to climb the wall of the Zoldyck family and Kurapika….. would lash out.

But I think that’s where the comparaison may stop, at least for them as kid, not mentioning their revenge journeys.

Kurapika is really over-protective and have a high sense of justice. He has shown that since for ever. And I think that might be a result also of growing up in such a sheltered village. 

He mentions he used to know all 128 people of his village, he knew them all personally. He was a kid, and it was his whole world. So for him, i think it was clear people would care about each other and like, not be douchebags?

We don’t know much of the Kurta’s culture, but we know this society settled rules to care about each other. In case of danger, they would move out. But also even the Elder mentions when Kurapika talks about how he wants to see the outside world and says “Why don’t i just do what I want then?” and the Elder replies “If that’s what you want to do, then go ahead,but if you break the rule, it’s your family left behind that receives the punishment you know?”

I don’t know how much is a threat  to control a kid who’s ready to run away from home and how much is an actual rule, especially since Kurapika mentions “Leaving the forest is the gravest infraction that can be committed, but no one knows what kind of punishment there is for breaking the rule - No one has ever broken it, after all.” I’d personally say it’s just a threat and that they wouldn’t really hurt anyone, but I guess we can doubt.

Besides we also know that it’s a taboo amoung the Kurta to mention the Non-pureblood Kurta’s eyes. Pairo mentions that he had to press his father to talk about it. It’s a secret, the kids aren’t supposed to know that they would be in danger outside, they shelter their kids so they can feel their emotions frely without feeling like the monsters the legends of the outside world make them out to be.

What we can deduce of that is that therefore the Kurta lives in a really big community that cares for each other, all know each other, have a set of rules, and those rules are set to protect each other.

It explains why Kurapika has such a high sense of justice when it comes to protecting his own in a way. It’s really the community’s lifestyle, always caring about your fellow.

As for Pairo’s disability, adding to that, it’s to remember that… Kurapika feels responsible for it, too. Pairo is his best friend so also Kurapika shares a lot with him, but it’s to remember Pairo’s disability happened because Pairo tried to save Kurapika from falling up the cliff, they fell together, but Kurapika was barely hurt while Pairo got a lifelong disability that the village doesn’t know how to cure.

Pairo never blamed Kurapika for it, even, he calls out Kurapika when Kurapika mentions he wants to find him a doctor, because what Pairo want is Kurapika to be happy. 

Also, there’s an understanding between Pairo and Kurapika have this way to talk about his disability too. Early in the story Kurapika asks Pairo if he wants to see the outside world with him, Pairo says that his health would get in the way of that, and Kurapika enthusiastically replies that it doesn’t matter. Because Pairo can do anything he wants.But also later, when they are doing shopping together, Kurapika seems concerned about Pairo having to carry stuff around, and Pairo calls him out for how Kurapika should not overprotect him that much (”Trust your partner a little bit more!!”) and Kurapika apologizes immediatly, which make me think it’s possible Kurapika feels the need sometimes to accomodate to Pairo’s disability and Pairo can calls him out about it to tell him he can handle himself.(there’s a similar scene earlier with Pairo dropping the eyedrops and insisting he wants to do it by himself, but knowing this is when he switched the eyedrops it can be argued it was just so he was sure he could trick everyone).

What I’m trying to come accross there is that, Kurapika cares a lot about Pairo’s well being, but he knows how to keep his limits to not be overcaring. He does everything so Pairo feel like his disability doesn’t stop him from doing anything, even if sometimes he gets worried about it.

Adding to the fact that Kurapika feels responsible and guilty for what happened to Pairo, and knows Pairo doesn’t blame him, so he blames himself even more in secret. 

So we can put all of that together. Kurapika’s strong sense of community and justice, his guilt toward Pairo’s disability, how he wants to look after Pairo, all without making Pairo feel less able because of that. 

And then a guy come out of nowhere to call Pairo a slur on that direct subject.

All of that together? Of course Kurapika would explode. I’m pretty sure no one in his village would have ever insulted Pairo because of his disability. I’m pretty sure no one called him a burden that clearly, with this much of being mean spirited.

It was a real first for Kurapika. Before those bullies, he always had admiration for the Outside World, believing it couldn’t be that bad, that people didn’t want to actually hurt them like the Elder would be saying. And the lovely people that helped them probably comforted him in that idea.

But them? I don’t think Kurapika ever saw anything like that before. Now also, the bully just kicked Pairo in the leg to make him fall, Kurapika was ready to attack and didn’t only because Pairo said it was an accident. It’s when the bully made it clear he meant it with all kind of mean spirit that Kurapika lost it and wanted to kill them.

How could some people do that?? none of the 128 people in his village would have done that. D-Hunter, Sheila, they wouldn’t have done that. The outside world he learnt about shouldn’t have done that. But there the bully just proved the Bad Side of the Outside World Kurapika was not as much acknowledging.

Honestly Kurapika almost attacked them at different times. Every time those assholes were doing something, he was getting angry, and Pairo was 100% of his impulse control, knowing that the Elder sent them. 

When they attacked Pairo, it became personal. Attacking Pairo could only be seen by Kurapika like the worst thing one could have done. And he didn’t think straight anymore and he attacked.

I even wonder if that’s why he asked the bullies if the Elder told them about Pairo’s disability. It’s like for him, you couldn’t have actually insulted Pairo on that for another reason than to directly piss them off, so it had to be part of a bigger plan, not something anyone would say. 

I think that’s where the big difference can lay between Kurapika and Gon. They both had a guilt to overcome as a child (Gon with what happened with Kon and Kite, Kurapika with what happened to Pairo), but they grew on such different environment. Hell, Kite reminded Gon that it was his fault that he had to kill Kon’s mom, meanwhile Kurapika, who still felt guilty, kept hearing he wasn’t to blame.

In a way it’s where Gon started to try to fix his mistakes no matter what, and where Kurapika started to try to fix his mistakes all alone since no one else seemed to get it as much as he did.

Again, Kurapika lived in a secluded, sheltered community where everyone knew each other, while Gon lived on an Island with only a couple of people he was used to see a lot, and mostly travellers. Gon could see all kind of people, so in the end he would just think that those who are not a direct harm to him and the people he cares about are just passing by and move on. Kurapika didn’t have this mentality since unlike Whale Island, Kurapika was stuck with the same people, and the same people had to react accordingly to their rules and their respect of each other.

Going to the outside world would have been an entiere new adventure for Kurapika in term of understanding the Outside World’s not as sheltered culture. We never got to see that though, since the Massacre happened and Kurapika’s trauma over come everything.

His cynism or his way to push people away can come from how the massacre made him more bitter, realizing how much people could kill because of greed, but it could also be slightly from his desillusions about the outside world.

I rambled much more than i expected but i love Kurapika’s past chapters a lot and I love to think about the Kurta. I really think that the cultural impact of living a sheltered, closed community who cares all a lot about each other, where no one would have been mean to Pairo because of his disability (concerned, yes, mean? no) is why he couldn’t take people being rude for no reason, for people to make Pairo feel like a burden, like lesser of a being.

And for someone who wasn’t expecting this kind of despicable attitude, no wonder Kurapika overreacted directly.

And Kurapika tends to not really think through when he’s angry. He can sometimes, he can force himself to think, but a lot of time, he doesn’t.

And his sense of justice in general is still there, ofcourse with his quest with the spdiers, but not only. It’s like when he threatened to kill Mitanji in the Prison exam, when he pretented to be a spider, and Kurapika told him he would kill him if he ever did that again. It was again a disrespect, impersonating the horrible people who hurt him and his family that way, but this time Kurapika still managed to calm down enough to keep it as a threat. Maturity i guess?

So ye, as much as they have a lot in common, on this point i’m not surprised Kurapika was… more extreme.

Hisoka vs Chrollo Fight Review - Hisoka Will Die?

Switching perspectives from the setup of The Dark Continent to the Heaven's Arena; we're introduced to two Floor Masters facing off due to one challenging the other.

This inevitable battle has been one of the more hyped up match-ups of HxH ever since we learned of Hisoka's desire to eliminate the Spiders. He's also infamously known for seeking individuals with massive heaps of potential and power, and Chrollo has this in spades.

Hisoka exclaims bluntly that he's ready to fight Chrollo for real, and Mr.Lucifer agrees; claiming that "Having you chase after me all the time has really grown tiresome."

It's decided that the two will compete in a competition to the death, only one floor master can win... Are we about to see the death of one of Togashi's greatest creations of persona and ability? Hisoka and Chrollo are two fan favorites, and are both designed amazingly.

Hisoka is a power freak and a pedo-clown with the Nen ability "Bungee Gum." Able to attach the pink substance to people and objects and manipulate them with it, this gum is super durable and powerful!

Chrollo is the head of the Spiders with a calm and level-headed personality, and is generally pretty cocky and mysterious.

He has the Nen Ability "Bandit's Secret," able to steal Nen from others and save their power in the pages of a book, flip to their pages, and use them for himself.

We learn much more about Chrollo's abilities in these handful of chapters.

So Whats New with Chrollo?

Recap:

Last we saw, Chrollo was captured by Kurapika and had Judgement Chain attached to his heart; rendering him unable to use Nen.

However, during Greed Island, Chrollo recruits Hisoka to enter the game world in order to seek out a Nen Exorcist. Hisoka works with Chrollo here in order to restore his power, so that he can experience the thrill of fighting the head Spider and witness his power first-hand.

When Chrollo's curse is lifted, he retreats instead of confronting Hisoka right away. The purpose of this was unknown before Togashi's return from his most recent hiatus, but with these new chapters the intention has been revealed.

Chrollo had been prepping for the Hisoka battle by meeting up with Kortopi and Shalnark, two of the Spiders, in order to take their Nen abilities for himself.

Shalnark's Nen: Black Voice

Type: Manipulation

Jamming an antenna into a target allows the user to control their enemy's movements with a phone-controller. The user can control them until their death or until the needle is removed, and can even put them on autopilot; making it so the puppets can follow basic instructions without being babysat.

Chrollo can also talk into the Phone and give direct orders to the puppets from a distance when using this ability combined with "Order Stamp."

He also appears to have a much greater understanding of this power over Shalnark.

Kortopi's Nen: Gallery Fake

Type: Conjuration

Able to touch something with one hand and spawn an exact copy of it from his other hand. Only certain objects work, no living things and he can't copy Nen abilities.

In addition to these two abilities taken from The Phantom Trope members, Chrollo also gained a couple more abilities.

Order Stamp

Type: Conjuration & Manipulation

Able to conjure up a special Stamp that when placed on one of Chrollo's controlled Puppets, makes them respond to direct vocal commands. The controlled object must be lifeless, but if it's a person; they must still have a Head. Decapitating the Puppets will stop their movements.

The Sun & Moon

Type: Unknown?

Stolen from some random in Meteor City; Sun & Moon is two symbols of the sun and moon appearing on Chrollo's hands.

Coming in direct contact with an enemy, depending on which hand he touches you with, will mark them with the symbol on that hand. When the Sun and Moon symbols touch, they cause an explosion.

Convert Hands

Type: Unknown?

More marks on hands!

Two symbols appear on both of Chrollo's hands, one that lets him switch his looks to another, and the other let's him take the looks of another. If he touches someone with both hands, both Chrollo and the victim will trade appearances. This ability is purely aesthetics, and the users will not gain the others abilities or personas.

Where Chrollo stole this ability from is still unknown.

And finally...

Double Face

Type: Specialization

A bookmark for Chrollo's Bandit's Secret, able to tap into the ability of the page it marks in the book, so even if the book is closed; Chrollo can access the power.

This allows Chrollo the option of either fighting with both hands free; OR allows him to open the book to another page while the bookmark is still placed, allowing him to use two abilities at the same freakin' time!! OP.

This is a ton of info to take in all at once, especially when in the heat of the battle. But all of these abilities combined let's Chrollo design the ultimate strategy to takeout Hisoka with the lowest risk possible.

Hisoka vs Chrollo:

Kicking off the fight with Black Voice, Chrollo takes control of the referee hosting the match.

Using the pressure of the attacking referee holding Black Voice antennas to stab Hisoka; Chrollo seizes the opportunity to land some quick shots in on Hisoka while he's defenceless.

Hisoka is able to pull the referee & Chrollo off of him thanks to Bungee Gum, giving him some space.

After this, Chrollo begins to combine all of his abilities to create the ultimate strategy.

The Explanation of Combining Abilities

By combining Black Voice's controlling people, with Order Stamp's vocal commands, and duplicating the puppets with Gallery Fake, Chrollo can make an army of puppeteer'd zombies.

Of course, able to use two these abilities at once with the Bookmark, Chrollo only needs to decide which two Nen powers he needs to use at the same time, and switch to the ones he needs when the time is right.

On top of all that; Sun & Moon's marks will remain on the placed bodies even if the page where S&M lies on in Bandit's Secret is closed; making it so Chrollo is actually combining 3 Nen abilities at once in this strategy.

To make matters EVEN worse, he can use "Convert Hands," able to turn into somebody else, or make a clone of himself, to hide in the crowd of Heaven's Arena and continue to throw Puppets at Hisoka from a distance.

A freakin' genius strategy that's low risk and very effective.

WOW yeah that's a lot to comprehend. I hope I captured everything here in a concise explanation, please feel free to add any more info in the COMMENTS~

How it Turns Out..?!

Chrollo's combination of abilities makes it incredibly tough to keep up with what exactly he'll be doing next.

He starts throwing masses of the audience members at Hisoka, all ready to detonate upon contact with the S&M symbols attached.

Hisoka attempts to escape and gain some breathing room by attaching Bungee Gum to the roof and flying away, but the audience stand upon each other and rise to his level.

  They continue to desperately try and touch Hisoka, but he's able to physically fight them off. However, Chrollo keeps up his hit-and-run strat. of attacking Hisoka in his blind spots, slowly withering him down.

Although Hisoka lands a good hit on Chrollo using his Gum attached to a decapitated head, Chrollo is easily able to blend back into the crowd again.

And after that, he lands a lethal blow on him but only finds that it was a fake Chrollo...

Mr.Lucifer then slips into the announcer room and commands "Break Hisoka," causing the entire stadium of copies to all rush down Hisoka at once.

In a do-or-die situation, Hisoka is filled with extreme Bloodlust.

He attached his Bungee Gum to a bundle of people and begins slinging them around in a great circle; knocking out the crowd of oncoming puppets.

Chrollo is able to explode Hisoka's hand using the head of one of his puppets, rendering massive damage to him and putting him from a very bad situation to an even worse one.

Hisoka is once again cornered by all the puppets and leaps off of the walls and into the air, falling directly down into the crowd of puppets.

 He gets his leg blown off, and another puppet is thrown at Hisoka by Chrollo from a distance away, causing him to hesitate shooting his Bungee Gum to the roof for an escape.

Unable to do anything, he plummets towards the ground to become Puppet Food.

"Well I guess if I'm gonna die anyway..." Hisoka smiles and appears to do something as an explosion erupts, sending off smoke and fire from the top of the Heaven's Arena.

Is Hisoka dead?!

What Happened to Hisoka?

So I've been reading some opinions on what happened to Hisoka online, and a lot of people are calling his return from death "an asspull." However, this isn't at all the case. Allow me to explain~

Knowing he was about to die, Hisoka planned a revival upon death.

Nen becoming more powerful after death is a theme we've seen in HxH quite often, with Chrollo's Sun & Moon being the more recent example. But we've also seen this from Pitou when she returns from the dead and takes Adult Gon's arm.

"O my Rubber Nen. After I'm dead... Come back to life! Along with my heart and lungs! Cradle them caress them and expand and contract!!"

Hisoka is able to bring himself literally back from the dead using this technique.

With his gum, he's able to stop the bleeding, and with Texture Surprise; he's able to mask the parts of his body that were destroyed. Even his exploded hand is recreated using the gum.

He didn't heal himself here, not really, more so simply masked his damage and made sure none of his injuries were lethal.

And then, Hisoka Will Die??!

Reviving himself from the dead, Hisoka is back with a vengeance. He begins to take out the Spiders, starting with Kortopi and Shalnark... Which damn, that was a surprise!

  But we were expecting a death from either Hisoka or Chrollo, and since neither happened, I guess losing two Spiders isn't as surprisingly devastating comparatively.

Claiming "10 more to go," Hisoka clearly plans to take all of the Phantom Trope members out; despite his defeat by Chrollo.

This fight was a phenomenal experience to read, I'm so happy HxH is back in action and better than ever.

  This really stretched the mind of what Nen can truly do, and how abilities being combined together can create such deadly strats! Insanity.

Ayy saw friendos today again, we watched a bit more hxh, from ep 118 to 127 - we had to stop this one in the middle tho djkhfkhjfd

So so far, we watched more of the Attack on The Castle stuff, up to Netero’s blowing up.

So as usual, A. = Her, T. = Him

-As Brovoda shoots Ikalgo A: “NOT THE OCTOPUS” T: *to me* “If i learn you lied to us about the survival of the octopus istg I will cook you into an octopus sushi for lying to us”

-T: “I’m not even on tumblr and yet im gonna be known as the Octopus lover”

-T. kept making bad french puns about Ikalgo and the fact he’s an octopus (poulple in french, which lead to him saying Poulpe Fiction)

-T finds Knuckle’s technique as adorable as annoying. When Youpi fakes being angry against it, he said “I wouldn’t have to fake it tbh”. he also said Knuckle could copyright the cute yet annoying concept

-As Knuckle is having his life flashing in front of his eyes before hitting Youpi for Shoot: T: “That’s not the time to fall in love Knuckle”

-As Knuckle says he’ll die, A: “OH NO”

-At Killua coming to save him, A and T were speechless, A’s mouth opened wide with a smile before saying “THAT’S some good stuff!”

-A: “He’s been going through a hard time - No luck, Youpi he’ll put it all on you.”

-A: “Killua, it’s when he’s calm that you have to worry. the issue is that he’s mostly calm, also when he’s angry.”

-A, as Killua covers himself in electricity: “oH I SAW THIS GIF A LOT ON YOUR BLOG”

-They are amazed by Killua’s power, they find it cool af. but i love A’s : “And then they say Kurapika is op???”. i love my friends :’D

-they yelled “oh no” when Shoot’s technique disappeared out of Youpi, thinking he’s dead

-T. squeeed at the way Ikalgo walked ahah

-T. is threatening Brodova by telling ways to cook him, I’m concerned

-As Ikalgo is in trouble, A: “you didn’t lie to us right??? nothing will happen to the octopus?? i don’t care about the others”  Me: “you yelled when Shoot and Knuckle almost died” T: “Sure but it’s okay if they die if octopus survives” A: “i mean I’ll survive people dying. just not him. please”

-T: “[Brodova] doesnt have a face so his acting must come from his antena”

-As Ikalgo cry because he’s too weak to kill someone, T: “noo he’s so pure! It’s not a weakness to not kill someone, it shows humanity. or octopusity.”

-Morel: “could Pouf be tricking me?” A:“I’m always expecting the worst of shaiapouf”

-As Knuckle discovered Shoot disappeared, A. facepalmed

-As Pouf divided himself in multiple mini-him: A: “it’s a nightmare. It must be one. that’s the creepiest power yet”

-The violin keeps playing and it’s inspired by Vivaldi. T: “it’s a shame. i liked Vivaldi. but that was before. or well it’s not really Vivaldi or else i would have destroyed that butterfly.”

-About Pouf, A: “CAN SOMEONE BREAK HIS TEETH ONCE AND FOR ALL” T: “Go crash yourself on a Car’s glass like the fucking butterfly you are”

-About Hina, T: “Aww she’s cute” A: *shakes her head*, T: “Not cute?”

-As Pouf devides himself again: A: “as if one wasn’t annoying enough.”

-Still about Pouf, A: “Kill me if you want but never play violon again”

-They were so glad Knov saved Shoot ahh

-We reached the mistranslation about Killua saying he wanted to die for Gon. when i explained it, A said “so it’s completely canon”

-A: “There’s a lot of word to describe Gon, but “under control” isn’t one of them”

-Gon at Pouf: “Shut up” T: “you’re asking a lot. next you’ll ask his violin, it’s all of his personality”

-When Knuckle released his technique to protect Morel, A. remained with her mouth wide opened in shock when T. said “the fuck”

-they are so hype about the Netero v Meruem fight.

-A: “Netero fucking fight with socks and no shoes”

-T: “We got this far for a ted talk?”

-T as Netero starts using his powers: “It’s so good so pretty! so nice to see omg”

-they yelled when Netero told the King “do you want to know your name?”

-We always skip the opening but T. started dancing on it

-Also he tried to prononce what Potclin keeps saying, adding “me, checking my bank account”

-As Ikalgo gets attacked, they’re worried aldhdk. when he said “I’m not dead!” T. said “Me after writting law essays”

-When Palm comes back in the story: A: “i don’t know who she is but i want her lipstick”

-As Palm arrives, T: “new look for a new life”

-As Killua realizes something is wrong with Palm: T: “I’m just gonna say, he thought about how it would affect Gon first. just saying. it’s sad for her because he doesn’t care for her but… ye”

-A: “you think too much Killua. I’m that close to say that it’s because you think it’s better than handling your emotions”

-As Palm and Killua start talking, A: “She seems calmer…” T: “dunno… I’m scared there’s no music”

-Palm: “No point in keeping those emotions inside or resisting them…” A: “you should listen to her Killua” Palm: “It includes killing you!” A: “...Until that point”

-A: “oh great we needed another problem”

-A: “Palm looks like she’s out of Coraline”

-As Killua broke down, they both were really quiet. A. eventually said : “let it all out Killua” with softness. they both seemed quite sad about Killua’s state

-As Pouf says he wants to rule alone with the King, A: “how many people are doing their coming out this arc?! like, Killua we knew for a while but now it’s canon, but between Knuckle and Pouf now…”

-A., seeing all of that, is curious to see where Leorio and Kurapika’s relationship could go on considering where Killua and Gon’s relationship, and probably from the fact I ship them and they know it. I had to tell them that While I ship them, they have far less content and far less obvious material and that it was up to interpretation, even if to me, they have a relationship i have more interests into. but ye, less material. to which A. replied “at the same time Killua and Gon are completely canon. the only way it would be more canon would be with a kiss and even that we got one! so less content doesnt mean much” it made me laugh, but ye, still told them this is far less obvious and up to interpretation. rip.

-As Pitou is begging for Gon to not be mad at Pouf, A: “she’s making her case worse”

-As Gon restrict Pitou’s time after the Pouf’s incident, showing he’s in controle of the condition regardless of what the enemies would try: A: “It reminds me of a certain person who puts his conditions before anything the enemy has to say. to the point of hanging off the phone.”  i love my friends alhdkd

-A: “Gon lookd like Killua when Killua is about to do something that implies something bad for someone…. like killing…”

-A:“With the two kids being emotionally unstable, i feel like the others hunters are just trying to handle bombs that are about to explode…”

-A. is getting some pleasure to see The King being beaten up ahah

-They find Netero’s technique too amazing. A. wonders whats the point in putting so much nen in the earpierces

-As Netero’s theme starts playing: A: “Did they summon Chrollo for the chorus”

-Apparently this theme is inspired by the requiem of Vivaldi. My friends are amazing and i love them for noticing those stuff.

-They laughed and put hands on their faces at Netero’s heartshape

-T. says his fav characters are Ikalgo, Netero and Nobunaga.

-after the fight, the King still asks for his name. T.: “it’s Asshole. Piss of a Cow”

-They… were speechless suring the explosion. like “whaat”

-A: “I have a question. How are people still alive in this universe?”

That’s about it? About all I noted at least dkjfhdkf a few things were very french jokes rip. Also some IRL stuff were happening so dkfhkjdhf

But ye :D It was a tons of fun!
