☆ persona for all ur lovely mcs!! 🎸💫
ISABELA !!!!!!!! hi hi dearie ! ty ty so much u are a sweetheart AHH.
🎸★ INFAMOUS MC ASKS.
🎸 ★ PERSONA: how does their day-to-day personality compare to their on-stage persona?
ANSWERED HERE ! ♡
she i would say loves to subvert the reserved off stage and lively on stage ! she is the life of any party off stage and plays into the melancholia of her music on stage! as her band takes heavy influence from darkwave/cyberpunk-ish/new wave/noise esque genres her more moody-esque energy when performing is what she plays into on stage! she is the best at parties <3 very known to have the best taste in music and be the dj at parties and road trips, for entertainment will stop the party tunes and will play the most depressing tunes you have ever heard at said parties as well.. for the funsies <3
i think for mona its important to her very much she is as she is both on and off the stage ! shes as thoughtful as she is to her fans on stage and with the people in her life, shes as motivated to create art and make life as beautiful for herself, her fans and her loved ones ! she is as pure of an artist as you can be and she wants that to be seen both for her stage life and in her private life. she loves art in all its forms and as her music is a love letter to art (MoMa is named after and is the acronym for the metropolitan museum of art !!!!!!) and she lives to embody that in her music and her life <3 (things dearest to her are reserved for her loved ones of course and she expects that to be respected!)
he is quite similar to mona in that he is as much of a curator of portraying the love to create and the love of being an artist both in his stage persona and his off stage persona but i will say he likens to his personal life as being precious to him and prefers that be reserved for his loved ones ! he is very much an ambivert in that on stage and out and about he loves to be present with his fans, his friends and his loved ones; but at home or in the studio prefers a small group (maybe one other person or two like rowan or jazz or vic when theyre in a relationship!) of his loved ones or to be with his thoughts ! we love a beloved with range !
they are veeeeeery much so an introvert off stage in comparison to her muuuuch significantly so on-stage persona. on stage aura is the portrayal the wish to be perceived as an artist, they put on a show a masterclass of performace and musical art for their fans ! off stage aura the performer takes a backseat, shes introspective and prefers her thoughts and her art. parties are nooot their thing <3
and teehee bonus track version !
oh indeed ! he gets an au!!!!!! (hes in the g and vic poly! and hes a close friend and a side chara in all of the ocs verses !) and you would never guess what the name of his band is (it is not ken-doll) ! he is just as who he portrays himself both on the stage and off! (and by that he is as much of a beloved buffoon on stage as he is off the stage sjanakjn) loves to share his life with his loved ones and his fans (much to the chagrin of his managers his acting one bernadette/bernie and his music one in the au the dearest orion jaskna. who would prefer if he kept at least one or two things to himself kjaska you dont need to share everything my love!) and if his fans or his loved ones asked him to fight a bear in an arm wrestling match because they had a bad day he would do it because thats the sort of soul he is ! he made a name for himself and his loved ones and his fans were there for him, so his way of returning that love is to offer that in full in return to them !
#🎨: isabela#pearlcscent#THANK YOU SO MUCH ISABELA DEAR AHH THIS WAS THE CUTEST TO DO <3#and i am pleased to say i think i AT LAST told my burnout to take a hike ! i can think things again ! and write about the clowns!#like it was so weird? i had things on the brain but when i went to write them or make edits it was TV STATIC u know? 🥀😭#we love the babies the babies who have range ! they mean the world to me ! all of them !!!!!!!!!!#ken will likely veeeery open about his relationship with g + vic in the au and love that for him ! theyre lovely ! he should !#he loves them dearly both in the au as in the poly and in the verses as their friend! wants them to be happy!#he arose to fame around the time they did (i would say about 3 years after g did? 4 maybe?)#+ is a co star often of vic's ! so he is VERY close with them! i also have other dears to introduce as side charas but theyre in the works!#(he supports g finding his happy ending with lila in their verse and vic finder her happy ending with kieran ! cries at the weddings!)#teehee we must thank alya for encouraging me to do the kenny band au <3 TY DEAR#mona and kieran being ARTISTS and wanting to be that and that be reflected both on stage and off my beloveds#like they all lila and lucy and mona and kieran and aura and kenny au they mean the world to me AHH#this if means the world to me ! i get to shriek about music and see the loveliest pieces from people and my friends and AHH#AND I GET MUSIC RECS MY FAVORITE THING IN THE WHOLE WORLD !!!!#leg.asks#leg.ocs#leg.txt#the memes of djs cutting the club jams for sad tunes comes to mind for dearest lucy ! the dearest !#AND OFC TY ASH FOR MY LIFE ON THESE CUTEST BANNERS AHH.

2022 A Year in Emotions
Memories:
Started off the new year with Jon in NYC! Homey takeout dinner with my parents, Moma, climbing with Greg and Dior exhibit.
Uncertainty, Relief. The moment I met Totoro! I picked her up and heard her meowing in the carrier. I released her in the carrier and she immediately started rubbing herself on me and purring. I was so relieved that she liked me.
Fear, Accomplishment. Trying ice climbing. Woke up at 5am, and when we got there it was negative 13 degrees. I felt the least athletic and didn’t have the right gear but I overcame my fears and had a great first climb.
Newness. First ski trip with Halle, I remember driving her car for the first time and being scared. But I realized from this trip that I really like roadtrips.
Togetherness. Trying molly for the first time and going out to Basement. I felt so loved and protected by my friends. I wanted to party my heart out and the DJ Tool was so good and dropped some sick beats.
In Love. Paris - sitting by the Seine and watching the sunset behind Jon. The last night we were there the Eiffel Tower sparkled in a special way and we kissed.
Proud. Going to Tesla gigafactory and see the graffiti that Jon was working on made me so proud of him. I was glad he was doing so well in a foreign country.
Brave. Going to the fetish wear store and trying something that was completely out of my comfort zone. I struggle with feeling comfortable in my body when I truly felt different when I looked at myself in the mirror- it was like I could turn even myself on.
Seeing Xin in London, going to the art museum but then getting a UTI, but also having really good English breakfast at the 100 Shoreditch hotel
Creative. Spray painting for the first time with Chanel, touching new medium, getting it on my nails.
Accomplished, Amazed. First 4 mile race in Central park and eating a colorful bagel with Rebecca after and my first 10k in Prospect Park
Happy. Dancing at the Elsewhere rooftop with Ami, Keo, Alp, Tim, Corey. The sunset was so beautiful and I felt so at ease and happy with a great group of people who were willing to be vulnerable, let lose and dance without inhibition.
Content, Simple Happiness. Sitting on the balcony at Lake Como, feeling so at peace and content in my relationship with Jon. I remember dunking myself into the cool water right before we had to leave and feeling so happy, simple and refreshed.
Inspired, in Awe. Also seeing the Biennale was truly inspiring. Some of the coolest art pieces, like the falling lava, and taking the water taxi.
Relaxed, at Peace. Sitting on the beach in Rugen with Jon. Just eating a really good hot dog and ice cream (all courtesy of Jon) and reading so much of the Overstory.
Comfort. Eating at Barra in Berlin.. maybe my favorite meal of the whole year. I still remember the sea aster and dessert. Staying with Jon made me realize that home is wherever he is and I still feel nostalgic for his old apartment where we had hot pot and cooked meals together.
Anticipation. Seeing the US Open with Rafa and Tiafoe had me at the edge of my seat!
Nostalgia. Going up to Ithaca for the Rev finale, I stayed at the Dorm Hotel which was so memorable, and got dinner with Eme at the Rook.
Frustrated. My parents putting pressure on me about the house renovation situation, having a mental breakdown in Cindy’s room and then Michelle passing out on me.
Intrigue. Norway- seeing the art pieces at the museum like the twisting benches, or the spinning water, there was something new at every corner. Fresco Hallen had an amazing ambiance for breakfast.
Loved. My friends coming together for my 25th birthday, and even Jon being there! It was honestly the best birthday I could hope for, from multiple cakes to karaoke to EEAAO costumes.
Youthful Joy. Day trip to Fishkill Farm to apple pick with Ami, Maya, Benji, Tim, and Alp - just a wholesome day where the weather was so beautiful and I got to do all the fall activities I wanted! Pumpkin patch, corn maze, cider donuts, riding a truck, it was genuinely so much fun.
Excited, Proud, Touched. PISTE Showcase Benefit, getting a shoutout from Nzingha, seeing her realize this dream and being so proud to see my work, in flesh, everywhere I looked at Samsung 387.
Intimacy, Vulnerability. Xin staying over for 3 nights, made me feel so close to her again. I put on candles and we turned down the lights, and sang together over Tom Misch’s songs.
Sophisticated. I hosted Ami, Kush and Keo and brought out wine, nice wine glasses, and even put together a chacuterie board. I felt like a great host.
Moved. The Moth, with Maya Michelle and Niki, 5 stories about “now you see me” were told in such an impactful way, I could never forget. Daniella Faith singing at SoFar Sounds gave me goosebumps, and I loved that she told us to sing with her.
Creative. Nude sketching at Happy Medium made me realize that I missed art so much. Mugler exhibit also reminded me of this creative world that exists in NYC that I haven’t tapped into
Intimacy, Beauty, Appreciation. Ending the year with horny thoughts and the cozy comfort of 2 duvets, and a scenic 4 mile run around Boston with Jon that made me feel so happy and appreciative of my body, of Jon, and of the beautiful world.

Meet your Mardi Gras Party headliners
New Post has been published on https://qnews.com.au/meet-your-mardi-gras-party-headliners/
Meet your Mardi Gras Party headliners
The xx‘s Romy Madley Croft and American DJ and electronic music producer Honey Dijon are headlining the 2025 Mardi Gras Party.
The 2025 Mardi Gras Party will be headlined by two proudly queer international performers and will deliver more than eight hours of music across six venues in The Entertainment Quarter.
Queer English indie rocker turned dance pop artist Romy Madley Croft, best known as a vocalist for the xx, will be performing under her solo project Romy at the party.
Romy has said that her 2023 debut solo album Mid Air was recorded as a love letter to the gay clubs she partied in growing up.
And while she is better known as a guitarist and vocalist in a big UK rock band she actually began her music career DJing as a teenager in a Soho gay club.
Romy told The Guardian in 2020 that this solo project has allowed her to be her most authentic as an artist and a queer woman.
“I didn’t feel ready when we put out that first xx album, when we were about 20, to be really, really open about my sexuality,” Romy said.
“Over time, growing up and also just noticing how the world is changing, I felt a lot more comfortable being more public.”
She also just wants to create the sort of fun pop music for queer women that she would have liked when she was younger.
“When I was a teenager, and I was looking for explicitly lesbian love songs that I could connect to, I definitely wasn’t finding any pop-dance music,” she said.
“It was more like, lesbian acoustic music. That’s the stereotype, I think. What does a lesbian love song sound like? Someone with an acoustic guitar!”
Romy will also be one of two support acts on the North American leg of Kylie Minogue’s Tension Tour.
Word is that Romy will not be appearing at any of Kylie’s Australian shows but both artists being in Sydney for Kylie’s shows has inevitably fed fan speculation about whether Kylie might show up at the After Party!

Chicago born Honey Dijon is an international music producer, DJ and trans activist.
She released her first album The Best of Both Worlds in 2017 and a follow up album Black Girl Magic five years later in 2022.
Dijon also helped produce Beyonce’s 2022 Renaissance album, working on the songs Cozy and Alien Superstar and releasing a remix of Beyonce’s single Break My Soul.
Honey also helped produce Jamie xx’s album In Waves that was released earlier this year, contributing to the single Baddy on the Floor.
Dijon is also known for popular remixes of songs by other artists including Madonna, Neneh Cherry, Lady Gaga and Cakes da Killa – and most recently David Bowie’s Let’s Dance.
Dijon has also collaborated with fashion houses Louis Vuitton and Dior over several years, providing soundtracks for their runway shows and in 2023 she was named Outstanding Musical Artist at the GLAAD Media Awards in Los Angeles.
Dijon has been described as having “a rambunctious DJ style that leans heavily on golden-era disco, techno and house.”
However in a 2021 interview with Resident Advisor she said that “[while] a lot of people still associate me with swingy Chicago and classic house and disco, but I can rock dirty rhythmic techno as well.”
Her activism as a trans woman has seen her being interviewed by the UK’s Channel 4 on the issue of trans visibility, while in 2017 she lead a roundtable discussion at MoMA PS1 on “safety and creative expression within the New York club scene.”
-The 2025 Mardi Gras Party is on March 1 from 10pm in Moore Park.

Peeling Flesh The G Code
🌕🌕🌕🌕🌑
FFO: BRUTAL DEATH METAL, CHOPPED N SCREWED RAP / LISTEN
The Mona Lisa. The ceiling of the Sistine Chapel. Einstein's theory of relativity. The creation of life itself. What do these things have in common, you ask? Well, for starters, they all pale in comparison to The G Code. To let this beautiful monstrosity gather dust in the MOMA or a science textbook would be a waste of potential though. No, this bad boy belongs aboard a NASA funded time capsule spacecraft to hopefully one day be intercepted by aliens. It would be the perfect work of art to represent our species and intimidate any potential interstellar adversaries.
To be honest, I thought I was going insane the first time I laid eyes on this album cover. There have been many bands over the years who have co-opted the stylings of chopped 'n' screwed southern rap artists for purely aesthetic reasons in an effort to be quirky and ironic, so with a solo cup full of skepticism and morbid curiosity, I hit play. I can't even begin to describe my delight when I discovered that Peeling Flesh actually go far above and beyond justifying their visual aesthetic. It only took a minute and a half for the album to hit me with the opening verse of E-A-Ski's "Blast If I Have To" played over a salvo of brutal slam riffs. I was elated. I’ll admit, this intro might be one of the more awkward examples of the slam-rap synergy in motion, but it is quickly followed up by a certified club banger. "Shoot 2 Kill" brings down the house with a barrage of evil riffs, double kicks and gutturals before a classic 90s Memphis rap sample begins to loop over a feast of palm mutes and pinch harmonics. It’s stupid fun, but it’s executed so well. Just when you think it’s coming to an end, the breakdown kicks back into gear at a slower pace, with the same vocal sample pitched down a couple octaves. I didn’t know whether to bust it down and shake my ass, or crowd kill the drywall in my apartment, but I was sold. And the party is only getting started.
One of the sly ways in which Peeling Flesh manage to get a leg up on actual rap mixtapes is by savouring some of their downright tastiest moments for the interludes. “Skin Blunt (Interlude, Pt. 2)" might be the crowning point of the entire album just for the way those bone chilling xylophone (?) notes start to drip down over a disorienting flurry of chopped up vocal samples and metallic riffing. You'll feel like the Kool-Aid Man just busted through your wall and drop kicked you into the Twilight Zone. The G Code just has such a great sense of humour. There are tons of little moments during this album that will make you chuckle, like the Gundam sample in the title track, or those hilarious Ninja Turtle skits that were dredged up from the depths of youtube. But even without all the superfluous garnishes, there is still a mighty competent slam record underneath, with fantastic riffs and disgusting vocals that will surely satisfy your lust for obscenity. The drums are top notch as well, with tons of double kick and sharp snare hits to massage your perfectly smooth brain. All the samples simply inject a bit of good natured fun into the experience, and elevate the album into more of a cultural spectacle.
Peeling Flesh have taken the crown of hip-hop-metal integration by dangling the entire nu-metal scene by it's ankles and shaking the lunch money out of their sorry little pockets. The DJ record scratches on "Perc 3000" and "Full of Lead" is just their way of rubbing dirt in the wound. The G Code is definitely a "love it or hate it" type of album, but regardless, you have to at least respect Peeling Flesh for committing to the bit and paying homage to their geographical region in an authentic way instead of just using the aesthetic for irony's sake. Hell, they even put out an entire slowed down "Crunk Edition" of the album for the real sippers out there. Tulsa might be more than a stones throw away from Houston, but it's still the South.

We visited SF Moma recently to see the Art of Noise exhibition. We really enjoyed all the 1960s music posters, the old and very cool stereo equipment and the special DJ Listening Room. The best part was seeing the same JBL speakers and Dual turntable that my father bought in 1972 when I was a youngster.

Op:L Bastards
Constel·lacions Bastardes 15 de 21
¿Conoces a Op:L Bastards?
