My formula of restore fatigue:

Spring salad: lettuce, radish, potato, (optional: apple, orange, watermelon). Unfortunately it has Burden side effect. (if choose orange, you'll get a bonus Shield effect) Can also side with Ranch dressing: cheese wedge, leek, onion, garlic. And this one has Damage Agility side effect. It can be fix by removing the garlic.

Potato soup: potato, garlic, leek. This recipe has Frost Shield side effect. Perfect choice for a cold weather.

Corn salsa: corn, tomato, onion, garlic. Unfortunately it has Damage Agility side effect, but you can get Detect Life in the process.

Grilled cheese sandwich: bread loaf, cheese wedge, cheese wheel. Unfortunately it has Damage Agility side effect. I should have removed the cheese wedge. Sorry Baurus :(

Classic ham sandwich: bread loaf, cheese wedge, ham, lettuce. Unfortunately this recipe also has Damage Agility side effect, but bonus Fire Shield woohoo!

Gyudon: beef, onion, rice

Mix berries: blackberry, strawberry, (we only have two kinds of berries?) (optional: apple, orange, pear). Actually, don't put apple or pear in it. They will cause Damage Health.

Crabby corn soup: crab, corn, onion. You can add cheese wedge for bonus Fire Shield (and Damage Agility) effect.

Chili con carne: beef (/boar meat /mutton /venison), onion, garlic, tomato. Side effect is Detect Life. (Beef flavor will grant you Shield effect. Unfortunately Boar meat will have burden side effect and Venison is Damage Health)

Pumpkin pie: pumpkin, sweetcake (/flour /sweetroll). Unfortunately both flour and sweetroll has Damage Personality side effect

Carrot cake: carrot, sweet cakes

Strawberry cheesecake: strawberry, cheese wedge, flour (/sweetcake /sweetroll). The flour version has Reflect Damage side effect. I highly recommend it.

'I think so'? Do you remember when we were all about how much Colin loved Penelope and Penelope loved Colin? When the biggest narrative was that they saw one another, made one another brave, brought out the best in each other? When the mirror was more than just a sex scene and was also a metaphor for what they saw in each other and how they reflected one another? When they were kind to each other? When we were kind to them as characters? When they were encouraging? When they were affectionate and loving and tenderhearted and messy and silly and loving with one another? When Penelope chose Colin at every turn and Colin chose her?

Where is it? Where is the love for our couple? Be honest, wanting Colin to grovel and suffer isn't for Polin fans. It's for Pen stans. Because us Colin fans are shown time and time and time again that it's okay to call a character we love an idiot, want him egregiously punished or humiliated, to see nothing good in his character at all. So who else is it meant for? I miss when we cared about them. I miss when there was a place we could go that was about their romance and tenderness. I miss when it wasn't just straight up hating on him, or us obsessed with Penelope getting with other characters, or thinking he's less than.

We have one of the *best* Male Love Leads in the entire series. And if you don't think that way. . .I just don't understand why you claim to ship this ship. We have an amazing pairing. A wonderful couple. A couple who cares about each other, a couple who builds one another up, a couple that are friends, a couple that has passion and happiness and so much potential.

Do you remember our gifsets gushing about how much he cared for her? Do you remember our metas about how they could bloom and flourish around one another? When we looked at how Colin was hypervisible but ultimately unheard and how Penelope was invisible but the loudest voice in the ton and sighed about how they fit so well with one another? Do you remember when Penelope was proud to have Colin as a partner and he showed her off at every turn? Do you remember when it wasn't a scorecard? When it wasn't about suffering and was about tenderness? Do you remember when they LOVED each other in our fandom? Do you remember when we loved them?

I remember.

And I miss it. I miss it so much.

i went grocery shopping this morning and as i was loading like 4 jugs of distilled water in my cart this older man comes up to me and asks why i need so much distilled water, so i told him i keep reptiles and frogs and use it for them, and then he tells me that he used to keep snakes and fish in the 70s, he said he used to have a huge salt water tank with a miniature shark and he loved watching it, but now he's too old to keep up with it 🥺 we chatted for a bit and idk it was such a nice interaction, it made my morning

I'm so obsessed with Fort Meigs, and I wonder how many of my mutuals know how it's pronounced.

It's "Meggs" (written phonetically), rhymes with legs. That's how (most) War of 1812 historians and enthusiasts say it, and that's how the locals pronounce it. I remember one video from a Kentucky historical society pronounced it like "Miggs," but maybe that's the Kentucky accent.

(cortosis weave might be more doable, honestly, but it lacks that edge of delicious cultural specificity blue normally dodges so ably haha. giving your partner beskar for their armor sounds like some traditional mando wedding gift bullshit and that's exactly the kind of unhinged romantic I suspect blue could be once unleashed. beskar seems to have been extremely tightly regulated and restricted by the empire during the time this would be relevant, but also blue works there, has no principles, and knows hacking better than any of his comparatively boomer colleagues... I believe in him I think he could've pulled off this completely bonkers move of a romantic gesture if inspiration struck him. also very funny way of him losing his job and having to join the rebels if he gets caught)

the way i couldn't even take a scrap of joy out of the flashback date scene because i couldn't stop thinking about how i feel like the writers are speaking through penelope. think about it. "i find it very hard to have a conversation with you when i'm not dunking on you". after those first few episodes where luke was pivotal in getting penelope back on the team what have his storylines been? during those interactions the most memorable moments are penelope 'dunking' on him. think about luke's character in general. what unique storylines have they given him during his five seasons on the show? i genuinely don't see this interaction as anything other than the writers admitting they see luke as a side-character whose sole purpose is to bounce off other characters for funny moments. and i'm so angry and i hate this reboot and i hate the writers and i hate it all!!!

Sooooo we have 6 cherry tomato bushes, 5 scotch bonnets and 6 numex twilight (which is a multicoloured-fruiting mini chilli bush that I have yet to successfully get to maturity but if I do it'll be so cute, it's got yellow and red and purple fruits all jumbled in together).

then on the kitchen windowsill still in the potting trays (....takeaway boxes) I've got some ghost peppers (germinated but still too small to pot out) and some habaneros (planted more recently bc I forgot I had the seed so hopefully will see some shoots in the next couple of weeks). plus some peas because the FUCKING pigeons have dug up the last 4 sets I planned outside so we're going to try indoor germination.

I also broke up the crowded pot of basil I got for 28p in the clearance fridge like a month ago bc it's dying off and split it across 2 bigger pots, and planted a sweetpea kit mum gave me. so all in all a productive time.
