everyone, please, please, PLEASE watch diary of a future president on disney+ - it will be removed in a week but the list of shows/movies being removed, is still being finalized, according to deadline

everyone who sees this, please reblog, even if you won't/can't watch it yourself, i just want the show to remain available, so people (including myself of course) can still watch it in years to come

they've already decided to keep howard after saying it would be removed, so maybe, if enough people watch it, it will stay on the streaming service

if you're looking for reasons to watch:

the show centers on a family (a mother, her two children and her boyfriend)

the family is cuban-american (apart from the mother' boyfriend, who is american)

the mc is 12-year-old elena cañero-reed, who, as we learn in the first scene and hear in the title of the show, grows up to be president one day

the show is (partly) narrated by her, as these are the things she wrote in her diary when she was 12

each episode has a plot for elena, for her 14-year-old brother and for their mother (and her boyfriend), so it can appeal to all age groups

there is a lot of lgbtq+ presentation, both in side/background characters and one of the mcs has a storyline revolving around their sexuality (and, don't worry, their storyline is happy most of the time)

the show talks about themes of friendship, finding your identity, puberty, loss of a loved one (as elena and bobby's father died a few years ago) and more

if someone wants to watch it with their children (does anyone on tumblr have children? lmao) don't worry, the show has a positive message

the cast is very diverse

i hope some people watch it, and i'm going to put A LOT of tags, so this post reaches as many people as possible (i only have 6 followers, so i don't know if that would work otherwise)

people are drawing Steamboat Willie Mickey doing all this crazy shit and whatnot, but you could always do that. you can do that now, with current Mickey, just fine. it's fanart and it's legally protected. hell you could take Disney-drawn Mickey and put a caption about unions or whatever on it and it would still be protected under free speech and sometimes even parody law.

what is special about public domain is that you can SELL him. you could take a screenshot and sell it on a tshirt. you can use him to advertise your plumbing business. people have already uploaded and monetized the original film.

you could always have Mickey say what you want, but now you can profit off it.

The song was originally written by Ashman and Menken to be sung by the enchanted objects to Maurice instead of Belle. However, story artist Bruce Woodside felt that the song would make more sense if it was sung to Belle, the main character, as opposed to secondary character Maurice, and directors Kirk Wise and Gary Trousdale agreed.

Here's my piece for Gallery Nucleus' upcoming "Once Upon a Dream," show, a tribute to Disney's Sleeping Beauty. I'm a big fan of Eyvind Earle's work (one of the main designers on the film, responsible for those square trees!) and it was such a fun challenge trying to blend his style with mine in this painting. The show opens June 1st, and if you're in the LA area I hope you'll check it out in person so you can see not only all the other artists' new pieces but Earle's amazing works as well!

i think parker would communicate either with a notepad or by using sign language. he can speak but just prefers not to, for whatever reason

if you think abt it, Twisted wonderland and MLP: Equestria girls are kinda similar.

• Both of the protagonists travelled through a mirror to another world

• they have an animal-like companion (spike and grim)

• made friends along the way

• had to fight someone who overused their magic and let their negative emotions consume them (the overblot victims and the she-demons)

• the victim of the overused magic becomes the protagonist's friend

• both protagonists are tasked with uniting the people around them (twilight being the princess of friendship and Yuu being the "beast tamer"?)

but maybe I'm just overthinking this and I'm just a big MLP loser

Also I picked riddle because he's in the equestrian club and I thought it would be funny
