Well, it’s a given that instead of straightforward fanart I could get an idea for a crossover catering to my inclinations. (Does it really count as crossover if it’s placed during and doesn’t diverge from canonic events? Or is it just a fanart that treats general Disney canon as united universe?)

I prefer to think personal emotions may have more of common physical traits with their person and vary in appearance from someone else’s emotions, while still keeping their distinctive color schemes. Bruno’s Joy is reminiscent of old concept arts for the character (Tío Oscar back then) in which he’s heftier and more corpulent than final design, a big jolly fella as befits embodiment of Joy. First in command, even if he doesn’t look the part, is Sadness, small and soft-spoken, yet sensible and sympathetic emotion, who acts as voice of reason in dire situations. If less sensitive subjects ought to be handled, that’s when Disgust, with his strident no-nonsense attitude, steps up. (Though, due his confidence at all times, he tends to overestimate himself and occasionally has to be brought down, in which cases Sadness is also the one who can reason with him.) As result of these two being most reasonable of all emotions, they do almost all heavy lifting in managing their person’s decisions. Next valuable teammate to them is Joy, who always cares to remind others to not forget to keep spirit and lighten up even in tough times.

You could think Fear and Anxiety may be leading emotions, but no, they usually have to be kept in check and away from the board. Maybe at some point they used to dominate control room, as it’s shown various emotions may run the place at different points in life, but as their person matured, it became clear they’re not suited for leadership. But do not worry, they’re still legit part of the team, others are good to them and will listen to their concerns.

I’ve really felt compelled to think up an overall context of what essentially was conceived as mere joke. I couldn’t help but sneak in another Pixar reference, too)

Why the name? 'cause I like to think that they represent this new generation, the ones that have the hope to heal what others generations couldn't. Something like that.

This crossover trio collage on Manolo Sánchez, Miguel Rivera and Mirabel Madrigal were based on artworks and memes I have seen on Tumblr. I decided to call them the Hispanic M Trio, with them being Hispanic and their names starting with the letter "M." Its on the nose, but it would do until a better title comes up.

There is a mini comic inspired in a scene from Hazbin Hotel. Yep, I've already finished watching all the episodes. ✨☺️ For me it was really worth it, I liked it a lot and the Welcome to Heaven episode is a gem. 😂.

Tiny Chef is imaginary friend created by young Bruno to help him learning cooking on his own. He wanted to be able to sustain himself, but didn’t dare to ask Julieta so she could teach him, for the worry she could take it as him not liking being served by her. So, while he appreciates and likes food made by his sister, he is still quite skilled as a cook, and it proved useful! He still didn’t leave a habit to summon Tiny Chef each time he recalls some recipe, especially as it’s more entertaining when there’s no other company.

Disgust, while one of the most sensible Emotions, is very opinionated to the point he can’t help but make his views vocal even if no one particularly asked for a piece of mind from him. For the most part, to his colleagues he appears as show-off. (Although Sadness may put that trait as “being outspoken” and think it’s admirable one, but one can argue it’s just him being too lenient.)
