a little underappreciated detail about mirabel is how it’s likely she has an interest in horse riding! the only basis I have for this is a small scene in the movie but I love the implication of this being one of her hobbies!

we see how bruno approaches mirabel & alma on horseback but he’s uncoordinated and struggling (poor guy lmao) whilst this could be due to being in the walls for a decade I also think it’s because he doesn’t actually know much about horse riding as he’s never had an interest in it!

now compare this to mirabel who seems to know EXACTLY what she’s doing, she’s cool calm and collected and it almost comes naturally to her! I believe this is because she actually has an interest in horse riding! we already know she has many hobbies so I don’t think it’s far fetched to speculate this is another one!

also take in mind she is riding bare back here! notice how Bruno appears nervous (and is the whole ride back to the encanto) but alma is smiling she’s fully confident I believe this is because mirabels done this many times before!

also the way she does this jump so effortlessly!? and riding bareback is way harder too! Usually only experienced riders do this! so I think the fact mirabel 1. Isnt nervous at all about this and 2. alma isn’t nervous at all implies she’s experienced in some way

she just seems like she really knows what she’s doing and the horse doesn’t seem uncomfortable either! so yeah this is my mirabel is a horse rider theory!

idea where luigi becomes evil one way or another (i’m into the idea of it being a wish-turned-curse-situation) and mario and bowser have to team up to figure out wtf happened and to stop luigi from causing mass destruction.

bowuigi bonus: relationship is pre-established meaning luigi is ruling koopa kingdom alongside bowser. perhaps luigi is self-conscious and feels like he isn’t seen as a leader, leading luigi to make a well-intentioned wish to be taken more seriously. the wish is warped and turns into a curse, turning him into a wicked ruler that takes over koopa kingdom, and his subordinates follow him out of fear rather than respect, when deep down respect is really all he wanted. it starts internally by luigi kinda turning against bowser (confusing the hell out of the poor guy) and just gets worse from there. bowser’s dismayed because both his husband and his kingdom have been yoinked away from him, so he begrudgingly has to team up with mario and peach and whoever else to get everything back.🤠

i kinda wanna write a whole fic now but i honestly am not as well-versed in mario lore as i used to be and haven’t played any of the games in years 😭😭 but ngl drawing evil luigi was fun. low key been in love with luigi since i was 8 years old so it was quite cathartic for me

EDIT: guys i know Mr L exists 😩 i knew of him when i drew this but not exactly who he was/what he did. but i still wanna try to make my own thing here/try to differentiate them LOL. there can be multiple flavors of evil right

Random things I've noticed in Meet the Robinsons that tell me I've watched this movie too many times (Part 3).

In the movie, we see that Lewis has a composition notebook full of sketches for potential inventions. When looked at up close, one can start noticing certain details about them.

For example, on the lower right corner, we can see what looks like a propeller hat, kind of like the one Laszlo is seen wearing in the film.

Another invention in Lewis' notebook is a "Brain Booster" which by its name and its look, seems like a reference to the Brain Augmentor from the original book the movie is based on. Since the helmet for it is also very similar to the Memory Scanner's it could be that Lewis repurposed some of the ideas he had for the Brain Booster for the Memory Scanner.

The sketch on the left, with the metal arms seemingly doing multiple tasks at the same time looks very reminiscent of the Helping Hat, AKA DOR15.

This flying car sketch, with its asymmetrically long wing, looks somewhat similar to the functional time machine prototype.

And on that note, this other sketch Lewis shows the Harringtons during his interview with them, of a flying car taking off into the sky, flying above a city with normal looking cars,

Looks a little bit like foreshadowing.

Overall, it is really neat to see how much detail was put into Lewis' notebook, as it helps to shows the audience more about what kind of inventor Lewis is, what his thought process is like, as well as what ideas for inventions he kept with him over the years and how they evolved across time.

ITS FINALLY DONE!! 😭 This is my very first DTIYS challenge! I participated in Flicker's challenge a while back and it inspired me to do my own! Would you believe this took me two weeks to finish? 😅 I was heavily inspired by one of the songs from "Thumbelina", which is what my version of At All Costs is inspired by. This one is from one of the later chapters where during the above mentioned song, the two confess their feelings for each other. Its goes in a more magical direction where it calls back to older Disney films where the main couple danced in the sky. And I'm a sucker for the forehead touching thing couples do in movies, its so wholesome. 💙💙

(I wanted to draw them hugging too, but my hand got tired. 😅)

This will be the last content I'll drop for Wish Granted for a while. Aside from reading my friends other wish rewrites, the only other thing I'll be doing is updating past chapters. Fixing grammatical/typing errors, adding extra dialogue that helps the story and things like that. I'll write chapter 7 later this month after my break. So I can't wait to see what you guys cook up! 😎

Meet Barrett!

I’m a bit late to party about this guy since my friend, @regularassgrass has already been making drawings and stuff of him on their page. But life has been hectic with me getting a job and all other crazy stuff I’ve been trying to work on, including the blog rebrand. But he’s here now and hopefully I’ll be able to draw more of my anxious dire wolfbeastman and his adventures at RSA along with the world around him.
