Speaking of Espilver, here's what Silver and Espio look like in my AU!

EI hc Espio as trans with surgery cover tattoos and that led to him being a member of the AU equivalent of the Yakuza lol. That's not where I thought I was going to go when I started figuring out what to do with them but here we are.

I'll write this fic out eventually, but their story is that Espio does spying and wet work for the "Yakuza" and usually operates at night, when most places and people are asleep and starts listening to the radio to keep himself company while he works. At first, he listens to K-TBR 199.2 but then he accidentally finds himself dialing into K-MDN 89.6, where a show called Glow in the Dark airs with a disk jockey that ends up captivating Espio and keeping him hooked. This is Silver (obvs) and Espio finally starts calling in, leading them to develop their relationship over the air.

That's all I've got so far - I want something crazy to happen, like maybe the "Yakuza" start thinking that Espio is secretly giving Silver information about their operations on the radio or SOMETHING where they end up having to meet and save each other, etc.. I keep meaning to start writing the fic so that I can shake the snow globe in my brain and finally get a real plot in place like I did with Gentlemen's Agreement lol.

Listening to some songs released in the last few years, namely Iconic by Simple Plan and The Emptiness Machine by Linkin Park

As a disclaimer, I do like the songs but I can understand why some ppl say the songs don't sound like the bands

To me Iconic sounds like a Fall Out Boy song from like 2012, while I was convinced that The Emptiness Machine was a Paramore song from like 2007 until I looked the song up and saw it was done by Linkin Park and was also released just this year

But like I said, I do like the songs(especially The Emptiness Machine)—I was just surprised that they were from those bands

My only music mutual is @ruztyryan and I'm kinda curious what Medazza thinks about it

been doing a lot of research about radio broadcasting lately for a fic. i wish there was a mobile version of a word processor similar to scrivener because i want to tab between notes and an actual document. having tabs that manages the flow better makes it way easier to manage what i need to find.

#DJmonday Ben Taylor, formerly of WMBM in Miami Beach, Florida, joined the staff of WMBG in Richmond, Virginia, in 1947. The "1380 Club" must have been very popular, judging by the fan mail he's sifting through here. Taylor moved to Richmond's WLEE in 1952.

"A novel and somewhat new approach to the disk jockey idea appears to be Ben Taylor's 'Musical Swap Shop' [at WLEE] … a listener like Joe Hepcat calls and tells Taylor he has some Stan Kenton 'progressive jazz' platters he would be willing to trade for the pure jazz product that Louis Armstrong gives out.

"Ben Taylor makes the offer on the air and a few minutes later maybe, another listener with surplus Armstrong disks call to get Joe Hepcat's phone number. Thus, the swap is completed." – Richmond Times-Dispatch, February 3, 1952
