Also, about the Sarandos article — “discovery model” is a tech term that means they’re exploring whether something might work. It’s not an experiment, it’s not a pilot, it’s literally a requirements-gathering and scope-defining phase.

To put it another way: say you’re buying a car. The first step in your car-buying adventure is to determine what you want. Four-seater or two seater? Four doors or a minivan sliding door? Third row or sedan? Is it a car to drive around for work and errands or is it a car for long road trips and off-roading at the beach? Is your cargo people and dogs or is your cargo cakes and bikes?

Once you’ve got that list of basics, you go to the dealership or CarMax and you look at what the options are and decide what you’re going to test-drive.

That’s where Sarandos and Netflix are. They’re looking at the different kinds of fan experience and planning to take the e-commerce foodie model out for a spin. They’re going to give it, and a few others, a test drive, then go back to the dealership and say “ok, I’ll take X in cherry red with the all-wheel drive package, seat warmers, the upgraded mats, and the cargo kit. I want to swap out the 19 cupholders for 4 charging stations and 3 cupholders instead and instead of the car seat buckles, I want the dog leash buckles, and supersize my mirrors.”

My guess is that Netflix has wanted to break out into this e-commerce/foodie space for awhile, but all their cheffy talent are big names established names who’d need a huge paycheck and, probably, a lot of collateral to do this because it’s unproven and untested. Then along comes Meghan who’ll do it for pennies, who also doesn’t know what she’s doing so she’ll let Netflix take all the collateral instead.

And now knowing that this is a “discovery model” for Netflix, I’m also guessing that As Ever’s seasonal rotation of product is part of that — it’s trying to find the right combination of product that people will pay for. You know, maybe it’s not edible flower sprinkles (jeez, could you imagine an Anthony Bourdain or a Voltaggio brother or even Padma Lakshmi doing that?!) and knockoff biscuit mix, maybe it’s candles and fruit spread.

It is a good idea. There are a lot of Netflix culinary/lifestyle shows I’ve seen whose product I’d actually be interested in getting, like the bartending competition show or the chocolatier shows. I think Meghan’s show and Meghan’s brand is an inexpensive way for Netflix to explore that - she has the name recognition to get people’s attention, but she doesn’t cost what a real cheffy person or lifestyle entrepreneur does.

But it is not a commitment yet. It’s not even a pilot or an experiment; it’s a proof of concept model being tried out.

Carnegie Mellon University researchers have developed a new AI model called GPCR-BERT that leverages advances in natural language processing to uncover new insights into the sequence-function relationships in G protein-coupled receptors (GPCR), which are the target of over one-third of FDA-approved drugs.

By treating protein sequences like language and fine-tuning a pre-trained transformer model, the researchers were able to predict variations in conserved motifs with high accuracy. Analysis of the model highlighted residues critical for conferring selectivity and conformational changes, shedding new light on the higher-order grammar of these therapeutically important proteins. This demonstrates the potential of large language models to advance our fundamental understanding of protein biology and open up new avenues for drug discovery.

Even if I am a little late to post this I just have to get it out because it's something which is so intricate within Mina, and her whole character that it gives her a new look at what we have read, more that we are so close to reach the final goal of this trip.

Mina loves knowledge, she loves to learn, and use that knowledge for good. Whenever it's learning shorthand and secretary skills to work along with Jonathan on soliciting, to shouting the answer of when the next train comes in a time of despair like it's second nature to her. Mina loves to learn.

Through the course of this novel we have read Mina collect detail after detail, interest after interests. Document every single detail of her and Lucy's time in Whitby no matter how confused she was; pick up to learn journalism, meteorology, shorthand, type writing skills, myths, legends, manners. Every single skill, every single word Mina considers it useful. There is no useless memory, nor fact, everything is worthy of study.

These days have been hell for Mina. To be talked about, but not spoken, to be treated as an important member and at the same time to be treated as a upcoming disaster casted away by god.

All of it while subjecting herself to fight a mental battle with the man resposible for your suffering to report back. Mina was both living, and not living, so what happens when she finally uses the very same knowledge that has been twisting itself inside her head?

I don't care if Van Helsing and Seward think that this could be a turn for the worse because let's be honest, the Count had always had the upper hand the second he took the Czarina Catherine. There is still time, there is still hope, as long as Mina writes there is still hope.

Truly sometimes we forget that Mina is a fiend.

I know I should've like done a regular drawing of them to know how they work but SHUT UP LET ME YAP-

So this is a monster version of these two dorks. Imma start with Poppy first cause my favorite girl to think of rn. She got stubby fangs, suddenly two webbed fingers, and a big bubble tail. The deal with her tail is that its based off of her passive ability, which is Panic Pop, wher you get a small speed boost for a few seconds when you get hit. With this tail, there's always a bubble on top of it, and when she gets hit, the bubble pops and she runs off. It inflates back to normal when the effect ends. Now with Boxten, I thought they could have similar traits, so he's got a snaggletooth, square fingers, and a tail crank. Unlike the key in his head, the crank doesn't spin when he's focused on something, he has more control over it and can move it to any pace he wants, even moving it counter clockwise if he so wishes. You to try grabbing it to spin it yourself, and it will play whatever music he's thinking of, but even though he can't exactly "feel" it, her gets embarrassed about it because, I mean, it's a tail crank. And it doesn't have much freedom in movement so when he sits and lies down, he'll have to turn it at a certain angle to make it as comfortable as posible. That all being said, gameplay wise, the tail is also based off of his passive ability Wind-Up, which is basically the more people you have in a run, the more ichor you'll get. The point with his tail is that it will spin, but its speed depends on how many players there are. So with a fully group of people, it spins as fast as his key, and the more people are gone, the slower it gets. And if you are playing solo or ae the only one left, it will just stop moving entirely, essentially just having it be a suttle indicator on how much ichor you can extract in a single run.

That's pretty much it lol, hope you found all that interesting and maybe I could try to make a cleaner drawing of them at some point, I love these guys.
