So I debated responding to this at all, but I thought it would be educational to explain how & why I knew this was bait.

I will not post the ask uncensored because I don't want to contribute to a smear campaign.

Ask is anon; it must be answered publicly, meaning my followers will all see it. Whoever is sending it is unwilling to stand behind the warning.

It's about a follower- not someone I've collabed with, or am friends with, just some random follower. I wasn't sent this bc of personal culpability or concern for my safety; I was sent this bc I am a large enough blog to guarantee attention.

'Move to a secondary app to ask us for proof, which we totally have.' <- THIS is an intentional stumbling block. The goal is that most people will not do that, they'll get this ask and go 'Well I don't want to dm... but better block them, better safe than sorry." This also conveniently means that if the callout is fabricated or has insubstantial proof (an almost sure bet or else they would've just.. linked it here), it won't be subject to much/any scrutiny.

"Surely these aren't the sort of people you want to share spaces with" Note how there's time for several sentences emphasizing how much proof they have of how evil this person is... but I have to dm someone to find out ANY specifics. No brief summary of previous crimes, no indication that I would need to be concerned for anyone's safety (including my own), just the implication that I wouldn't want to be near someone so gross.

Anyways, in conclusion: this ask isn't meant to keep anyone safe, it's meant to scare & drive out the person targeted by spreading vague distrust to as many people as possible. If you get this message, don't answer it: your ask box is being used as a stage to convince your followers not to trust this person. Don't be a mouthpiece.

4c told derap about Kab's new spawn. Derap's asking 4c (very threateningly with an axe in hand) why he blew up spawn. 4c told him it was an initiation.

4c said Focus was working with Mane 2 weeks before they found the orbital canon??? 4c is confused cuz he thought everyone knew the details about the betrayal at this point

Mane found the orbital canon on his own, he only asked Focus about it to test if they were betraying. The plan was to sabotage the canon, but if that didn't work then Focus was supposed to go to the fight and die when Mane asked.

Derap showed 4c one of the Nuke shots he found. 4c was surprised, he told Derap that Focus tried to input cords for a nuke shot when the canon was being destroyed but it didn't work (the nuke shots where aimed at the canon itself). They think the shot might have been Spoke

They started to talk about the knew update and Derap asked why he wanted to explore (cuz he was suspicious of 4c), 4c said he wanted more elytras because his teammates lost theirs on the war for spawn, he said he got 10 elytras. Derap thinks he's lying, he thinks 4c found the exploit.

Derap showed Zaun to 4c and asked if 4c was the one to build the house there. 4c said it was him. Derap promised he wouldn't tell Zam it was 4c. Derap said he doesn't really care about what builds are at spawn, he just doesn't want it to be completely blow up. He also said he cares about how Zam feels. Derap also told 4c about the big fight with Flame and the whole thing with Zaun.

Derap asked 4c to make a trust exercise. He asked 4c to give him his chestplace but it was normal. They kept dancing around the topic till they both admitted to it. 4C said he's armor was normal right now because when kab asked him to make the new spawn he thought Mane was gonna drop him lmao. They both found out about it while exploring the end.

Derap explained why they made Zaun. Derap said Zam was very chill about the mystery house at Zaun, he even integrated things with the build. He said it was okay if 4C continued to build there, as long as he doesn't tell anyone. 4c didn't even tell his teammates about it.

Derap told 4c it would be a good idea to have a chat with Zam, but 4c is not sure of what he would say. Derap asked him to not tell Zam about the exploit, because he thinks Zam is not gonna react well, 4c was a little surprised he wasn't telling Zam but he agreed.

(Important to note that 4c told squiddo about it, and Derap is scared she's gonna tell Ash about it, but 4c trusts squiddo)

(Also important to note that 4c did get 10 elytras, he just didn't show it to derap earlier because they were in the same shulker as the armor)

while it is completely true that Ancient Rome is Italian heritage, I think people—especially in cultus deorum—forget how far Roman religion actually spread. I’m not sure if this is a conversation broader paganism can have without flattening it—to deny Italy Ancient Rome is often a marker of fascists, and also we can acknowledge how far Rome, Greece, etc., spread.

for example, to my knowledge I have no Italian ancestry. But Rome colonised the land that would become Cornwall and Slovakia. Thus, some of my ancestors probably did worship Roman deities in some form, despite it not being the cultural heritage—we don’t claim Rome wholesale as cultural heritage, but we do have Romano-Celtic culture that inhabits the cultural sphere. I following the Roman gods is technically in line with my ancestors, despite I being both Slovak & Cornish European heritage wise.

That’s one reason the whole “gods of my ancestors thing” doesn’t completely work—you never, ever know your ancestors from 2000 years ago. I have cultural gods like Morena, but Mars is just as a part of my “bloodline” as she is. We tend to associate x ancient culture with y country, and in many cases there is a direct cultural link, but it’s always more complicated than Italian = Roman as one example.
