Here are some quick pics of the smalls.  Top left to bottom right: Howl, Pompeii, Eurydice, The Deep, Moon Shadow, V, Evening Star.  It’s all of the ones in this storyline except the tan unoa boy who arrived today.  He’s dumb as a shoe and I love him.  My minis are the best.

Arrival: December 19th, 2019 - Doll in Mind Larina Open Eyes

Violet is HERE!

I couldn’t be happier I’m just so thrilled she’s here! I was a little stressed when she was working her way through the mail - guilt for adding a teeny tiny easy-to-lose package to the postman’s load, guilt because at one point her tracking said she would arrive by 8pm late and the closer it got there the more horrible I felt for getting her, fear because her ETA went offline for a day, and fear because I was tracking two packages at once and because I was checking my updates sleepily and they all come from the same text message number, I bolted up this morning worried she had somehow found her way to New York, New York. Luckily, she arrived this morning at normal mailing hours and clearly did not have a trip to the city so nice they named it twice.

I am so shivery that she’s here. She’s absolutely darling, I LOVE her facial features so much. She didn’t come with a COA but both of her last two owners are pretty popular people in the BJD community and both are pro-artist so I’m relying on their past reputations and sales posts and stuff to reassure me that this girl is legit. I don’t have any plans to sell her like EVER so I don’t think I need to stress about having it for sales purposes later on in life.

Anyways, Violet is probably going to be one of my more long term projects! I really want to dye her to be dark brown skinned like so many others have done with the DIM sculpts before. I am leaning heavily towards also getting her a body I can dye but if I happen to find a brown body I just can’t pass up, I might give that a try! I also want to give her a natural haired wig! Her fashion style is something I’m still a little stumped on, though. She’s a pop star but I haven’t found anything specific that I want to model her off of quite yet.

The possibilities are endless~ I’m so excited for her. I’m so mad too because!! Man, I was ready to be DONE with Doll in Mind after this but I’ve been eyeing the Gayane sculpt for a little while now and I finally saw a sales post for it and seeing that intensely broody blank head made my heart pound. I might just have to keep an eye out for her too!

Vee, mostly put together! She’s wearing one of Lulu’s shirts, and she’s wearing a pair of Oscar Doll eyes that aren’t really for her, but that’s okay! It’s all a work in progress. She’s got some clothes on the way and one of these days I’ll decide on a pair of eyes for her. Her DZ body seems like it was made for her ^_^

At last!!!!! At loooooong last! My Little Prince body from Daydream is here!!!!!!! I’m completely blindsided and it’s PERFECT! Omg guys, this body is so small, 35cm just as I hoped, and the proportions are perfect with my DIM Larina head. I probably should have taken some photos of him without clothes, but it was dark last night when I opened him so I didn’t bother. I’ll probably try to get some later. 

The resin match is awful, Daydream is a super dark pink and DIM is very pale, but I always planned on dyeing him, plus after nearly 6 months, I just don’t CARE. Look! His super cute Angell Studio outfit came in too!! A little big, but again, I don’t caaaare. And bonus, Duchess finally got her wig! I love it!!!!! Look at these perfect shorties!!!

i bought a DIM larina head and after like, idk, 10 times taking the magnetic faceplate off, one of the magnets came out of the socket :/ im kinda blown, its an easy fix but like. i guess its about quality? idk maybe im just being a pissbaby, but i got pretty upset when that magnet came out. is this a relatively normal thing for dolls?

OMG! Look at this adorable combination. Dearmine Classic Agrippa giraffe head on Doll in Mind Happy v2 girl body. The resin match is so close it was like they were made for each other (Dearmine’s white normal and DIM NS). I’d still like to turn her into a unicorn girl but for now those giraffe ears and horns add necessary bulk to make the head look right on this body.
