Anyways, just here to say how neat for his art trade for @rafacaz4lisam2k4 was giving. This remake from one of our G-pal's older drawings sure take us back to school days. Sometimes I'd gotten into troubles while I was asleep during classes. I can't myself even I'd tried to get enough sleep at home. 😅

And for another round with @shadowredfeline art trade share. Not bad way to depict them as closest friends from both different nostalgic shows. That's what @rafacaz4lisam2k4 ever wanted it, so good for him. 👍

I was thinking about those posts I sometimes see about dates being an equation (you know the ones), and was thinking, is there a year where that happens the least? maybe even one where it doesn't happen?

Well, I don't think I'd be qualified to cover every function that uses two inputs, and I would assume every function is quite a few and probably would cover every day

So, I'll be sticking to the basic 4,+,-,× and ÷, since that's what I see most common with those posts

First step is to get a list of all the dates (I should clarify, from the Gregorian calendar, since that's the most common dating system I see from those posts), which is pretty easy, just make it yourself! you know how the months work... right?

right?

Anyways, we have a list now! two, in fact, so we can put our days and months separately

Now, we just apply the functions and,

meh, could be prettier, now, we gotta consider that negative years don't exist yet, less so something like XX negative 19, so those extra spots below, gotta go

We also need to consider that years such as XX 100 would theoretically someday exist, but we're just gonna assume you're only looking at the last 2 digits, so, BEGONE!

And don't forget about the year XX 02.75, that was the best year... for all of us that used a different calendar system, so I'm going to need to ask you numbers to LEAVE!

And that should be all the house keeping we need to do, let's collapse em down

Now, you may think "Hey, he left out my favourite day, [February 29th], How could he????!!!!!"

Well, 2+29=31, which can't be a leap year, 2-29 is negative, so no, not possible, 2/29 is a fraction, and 2*29=58, which is NOT a leap year

so, to anyone guessing dates that can never work, congrats, you won!

we can also see what years work with each function

with division ending the lowest, since all it does is decrease, we find the last date to be XX14, on 28th February, ironic. sorry y'all didn't notice it til it was too late.

for subtraction? the last date will be... 30th January 2029! Get your cakes (uh, funeral cakes?) ready for the last date possible for subtraction in.... 4 years time?!?! jesus, time flies, huh?

uhmm, for addition, we find the final day to be 30th December XX42! woa

and the multiplication goes til the end, being the year XX99, dated November 9th...... ANYWAYS

except, I lied, XX58, XX62, XX74, XX82, XX86 and XX94 are all not prime, yet have 0 days, since they're divisible by 2 but the other factor is bigger than 30

except, I lied again, XX58 is actually the only one with a potentially real day, being february 29, as we mentioned earlier.

but also, this system gives us our earliest year ending with a multiplicative date, being 1st December XX12 (XX12 was a great year for functions, huh)

So, when's the next functional date? well, we missed 13th November, so mark your calendars for 12th December!!

So, what did we learn?

Well, I mean, I guess you can brag about knowing when the next date that's a math equation.

and also the tragedy that is 29th February XX58...

Suggest other calendar systems, and I'll look into them!

A little bit late, but here’s my art summary for 2023! I experimented with a lot of different styles and color schemes this past year, and I’m pretty proud of how much my art has improved and broadened! Here’s to a great 2024!

Digital release slated for July 9th with the Blu-ray and Raw Cut version on August 27th.

The 4K UHD edition features a full-length alternative cut of the film that, through split-screen presentation, shows the final film side by side with a version showing unfinished visual effects to highlight the actors' performances under the CGI.

Titled "Inside the Lens: The Raw Cut," the alternative cut has an optional audio commentary by director Wes Ball, editor Dan Zimmerman and VFX supervisor Erik Winquist.

❗️ After the withdrawal of Chimon W. from the upcoming BL Perfect10 Liners, GMMTV announced that company-newbie Santa P. will be taking on the role of Gun and thus become Perth's new partner in the show. Furthermore they announced that Chimon will still be taking part in the upcoming series Hide & Sis.

❗️ The production company Headliner Thailand announced that actor Seng Wichai will no longer participate in the upcoming BL project The Bangkok Boys due to scheduling conflicts. It has not been revealed whether or not his role will be recast.

❗️ Actor Frank T. made a post on Instagram, announcing the end of his ship with fellow actor Long Shi Lee, saying that there won't be any more joint projects as they are pursuing separate acting careers.

❗️ The annual Digital Awards Thailand were held on July 14th. The following BL actors/productions won:

❗️ Max Nattapol (Manner of Death) and Na Naphat (Until We Meet Again) will be paired as a side couple in the upcoming GL Petrichor. The show is an adaption of the novel of the same name and author Sammon has been confirmed as the screenwriter. An airdate is still unknown.

❗️ Former GMMTV actor Mike Chinnarat has joined the cast for the upcoming Domundi BL Your Sky as the character Oh. An airdate is still unknown.

❗️ GMMTV announced that their newly announced project Y-Find will accept submissions until August 31st. The project gives (only Thai) fans the opportunity to submit original BL/GL stories, one of which will be chosen to be extended and adapted into a series. The winner receives 30.000 Baht (~800$) and has to sign a copyright transfer agreement for the story and will not be involved in any of the further productions processes as all rights will be transferred to GMMTV. (wtf lmao)

❗️ The Korean vlog-style BL City Boy Log is getting a fourth season. An airdate is unknown.

❗️ GMMTV released a statement, declaring the end of Ohm P. and Nanon K.'s work as a pair and the end of the OhmNanon ship as a result. The pair debuted in Bad Buddy in 2021 and reunited for Our Skyy2 in 2023. According to the statement they want to pursue separate careers - Ohm will be the lead in the upcoming BL Kidnap where he is paired with Leng T. while Nanon has taken a step back from acting.

It's time! No more hiatus! The Dandy Robot is returning on July 30th, just in time for the comic's 9th anniversary. Holy Shit! I am so sorry this took so long, but I feel comfortable with the buffer I created to finally bring this back from the semi-grave. Okay, so here's the plan:

I'm going to upload the rest of Chapter 6, two pages per week. I have about 18 pages left to conclude that chapter.

After wrapping up Chapter 6, I'm gonna post a series of recaps that summarize each chapter since this hiatus went on waaaaaaaaaaay longer than it should have. It'll serve as a, hopefully decent enough, refresher.

Then finally, I'll start uploading Chapter 7, which I have been busy working on. Oh my GOD, we can finally move on to the next chapter and, eventually, one step closer to wrapping up this arc.

I'm still working on the digital edition of Chapter 1 (with brand, new supplementary materials that'll only be in that edition) for my itch.io page (https://goodshipskypirate.itch.io/), so keep an eye on that.

I'm hoping this will proceed smoothly. I already have scripts for Chapter 8 and 9 finished, and I'm slowly working on the next one. I'm excited, nervous, and anxious, but mostly relieved that I can finally bring this comic back. Again, for the folks who's been reading this comic for years, thank you for your patience.
