fruit of the season, vegetables of the season, leafy greens, beans, onion, garlic, ginger, avocado, corn, mushrooms, sweet potato, lemon, grapefruit, dates, olive oil, rapeseed oil, wine, berries
cottage cheese, mozzarella, baby-bels, Greek yoghurt, eggs, milk, protein shake, smoothie, ginger shots, soy sauce, milk
chia seeds, sunflower seeds, sesame seeds, oats, brown rice, couscous, protein powder, nuts, spices, coffee, tea, honey, granola, lentil-pasta, rye-tortilla, rye-bread/crackers, peanut butter, almond butter, granola, dark chocolate, protein bars
tuna, salmon, chicken, salami, ham
general directions in terms of diet :
drink enough water, bring a bottle everywhere
take your supplements, vitamins; my go-to ones are vitamin D, C, B12, magnesium, omega-3, iron (obvi for deficiency)
focus on a varied, protein-rich diet; I add some powder and shakes to really make sure I get in enough
no restrictions, eat intuitively
herbal tea at night
go easy on wine and coffee

I’ve now seen the “would you eat lab-grown meat” poll twice, which means it is time to air one of my least charitable opinions---namely, I think imitation meat is an abomination. I could pretend this is for noble reasons (and I want to believe I have a couple in the mix) but truthfully its existence revolts and annoys me. It feels like a kind of hypocrisy; I mean, I’m sorry if you crave chicken wings for whatever reason? but you’re the one who gave up an omnivorous diet and refused to get creative with the foods left to you. Eat your cauliflower in buffalo sauce and shut up.
#there is a particular website that has a very very helpful list of which vegetables should go in vegetable stock - it's a great list!#unfortunately when you scroll down to mushrooms you are forced to read the sentence ''I eat a plant-based diet#so I don't touch mushrooms (fungi)'' and I swear the first time I read that I blacked out with rage and woke up six hours later#naked in the woods with an armful of maitake#and like....I understand wanting alternatives to something you can't eat! I get it!#(the eggs rolls fried in peanut oil are delicious right up until the allergy strikes)#but styrofoam in the shape of a burger patty feels like the wrong way to go#tw food#no love sincerer than the love of food

it was so stupidly difficult to find any nutritionist who has experience with arfid & takes insurance so after having to go through all these referrals my therapist sent me & jumping through hoops I lowkey hate the lady lmao feels like such a waste of time & energy
#its only our third time meeting but its so beyond fucking frustrating to feel like we spent the whole hour going in circles & lowkey arguing#& like she never actually listened to any of the things ive told her. like the ENTIRW REASON i told her i was seeking extra help after#dealing w arfid type noncense all my life was 'achieving goal x is always kind of tough but im trying to do it while also achieving goal y &#im struggling with finding a way to balance the two things' like thats IT & then as shes suggesting things to try im like idk of those are#worth the effort bcus they conflict w goal y & shes like. have you considered not worrying about that so you can focus on x?#like NO bcus thats what i was previoislt doing & it doesnt fucking work for me! & she was just not understanding what i meant by adding#variety or having 'better options' shes all like. ok but even if this new thing conflicts with goal y it can just be another option for you#like thats not the POINT i already have enough options i can switch between that conflict with that like the whole point is i need to fill#the gaps w things that are nutritionally different. like if im ok with something thatll use up a significant portion of ny daily values of#shit then i already have multiple options that i actively like well enough i dont wanna waste my time adding more that are things i think#are just ok but take more work. literally whats the point of that#& im like i think rather than me just thinking of random shit i think i could try itd be helpful if I could like get some guidance on like#what are some things that fall into somewhere into this category or this adjacent category while also not being this other thing & then i#cab like determine from there what i already like & can try & add more of & things from that list that sound like sth i can try#& shes like well idk theres a lot of foods out there. mother is still trying to get me into 'anti-inflammatory foods' and telling me to cut all sugar from my life and tbh ? id rather just die. like ill eat the healthy foods that taste good and ill eat the unhealthy foods that taste good. life is already miserable and im already fucked up over food im not gonna make it harder for myself for the possibility of maybe getting a few more years and a little less pain down the line

Nothing more frustrating than having a dream set in an amazing book series and then waking up to find out it doesn’t exist. Guess I’VE gotta write this now
#it was so INTERESTING and vivid. i woke up like ‘i swear i’ve read this’ but it doesn’t actually exist#okay so the setting was this world where the moon has cracked in half (potentially due to human intervention idk)#the tides have gone super weird because of this#the majority of humans live at basically the tops of really really tall buildings. like at high altitude#at the lower levels; it’s just water. the lower down you go the humidity increases also#so as well as the humans who live at the top of the world there are vaporous species living at the mid level and there are mer-creatures#in the sea. god knows how agriculture works in this world. i know people had rooftop gardens#maybe everyone had adapted to a vegan diet or maybe there was trade with the mermaids to get fish. idk#anyway; the majority of my dream was concerned with this elite university academy and this one problematic student named alex#he had been sentenced to life imprisonment for basically insulting the government (this was a very totalitarian regime that had formed when#the world first cracked and everything went to shit)#but he would be able to get his sentence overturned if he took this one class (i think it was civics or politics or something#with a media focus) and basically created the best propaganda video imaginable#so they were basically requiring him to recant his claims publicly; endorse the government; and he had to do it so convincingly#that his video would be rated the best in the class#the other people in the class included these two sisters who also badly needed to pass in order to graduate#and a bunch of exchange students#also the sky is basically a television in this world#everyone is up so high that they can see the moon fractured in two and it’s Really close to the earth#but you can’t see much else in the sky. so they were doing shit like beaming everyone’s class schedules and syllabi and lists of what you#need to buy for class directly into the sky#i don’t know if i’m selling it but it was so INTERESTING. i was really annoyed when i woke up and realised i couldn’t actually read this#because it doesn’t exist#APPARENTLY i have to write it. which is worrying because i’m not at all good at worldbuilding. but honestly the dream was so vivid#i can basically just.. take it and expand on it very slightly#i think what interested me was the backdrop of this elite university that all the kids of rich family go to vs the obvious reality#of this world; where there is food scarcity and very little diversity of habitats. and a dictator#personal
