Your feet were moving faster than your brain could think. Eyes searching for the emergency room entrance, as fast as you wanted to find it, a part of you wished you could just keep going in circles, it would push off the inevitable. You knew you reached where you were supposed to be when you saw the crowds of press near the ER doors. It was all blocked off, only opening being where the ambulances could drive up.
You saw someone with a firefighter shirt on, seeing the symbol and 118 on the shirt and before you knew it you called out to him.
“Buck!!”
Two people’s heads turned, a red haired woman and Evan Buckley. His face looked even more sick as he made eye contact with you. You pushed through the crowd and ran up to him, your hands grabbing onto his arms in an alarming manner.
“Where is he? What happened?” In your panic, your eyes moved from him to inside the hospital and then back to him. “They’re saying a firefighter was shot, Hen called me and told me to get down here that Eddie’s in the ER, please Buck.” You were frantically searching for answers, hopeful for him to tell you that the news had been reporting wrong and that your brother was okay. You turned your head to the woman close to Buck and she offered you a soft smile.
“I’m sorry, I didn’t mean to interrupt.” You moved your hands away from Buck but he grabbed them before you pulled away completely.
“It’s Eddie. He was shot. He was right in front of me.” Buck started to spiral before taking a deep breath and getting it together while gripping your arms tighter. “He’s in surgery, that’s all I know.”
You felt your knees buckle and someone's arms behind you to steady you. They were petite, which made you assume it was whoever was standing with Buck.
“Christopher.” You mumbled under your breath, the only thing that your mind could clearly focus on right now, your nephew.
“I can talk to Christopher,” Buck started to move before both you and his friend were stopping him.
“Let me drive you both,” She spoke up looking between you.
“You should stay here, be here when he’s out of surgery.” Buck spoke to you, swallowing all his tension and stress despite his hands still shaking. “I’ll clean up and talk to Christopher and bring him here to see you.”
You agreed, not really sure what else to do in this circumstance. Before Buck turned around to walk away he shook his head and lightly jogged towards you, pulling you into a tight hug. You both said nothing, just embraced each other tightly. Buck was one of your brother’s best friends and in turn, one of yours. When you showed up at your brother’s doorstep looking for a place to crash, you were met with a tall dirty blond man versus the brunette you were expecting. As you settled into LA, Eddie’s friends became your own. Game nights, dinners, all of it brought you close with each one of them. It was at that moment that it hit you.
“Taylor. You’re Taylor.”
The woman smiled and nodded.
“I’m sorry–” You began to say to the woman, you were in full denial right now, not letting the news of what Buck had told you happened really sink in just yet.
“No, please, don’t apologize, if you need anything just let me know, I’m here for all of you.” She smiled lightly again.
“All of you?” You frowned looking back at Buck.
“Hen and Chimney are here.”
You shook your head in response. “My parents, I should call my parents, I guess someone should call Ana.” Now you were starting to spiral as a trauma response to this all, thinking of all the people you needed to call, your parents, Eddie's girlfriend, Christopher's caretaker, Carla– and you were sure the list would go on as your brain kept thinking.
“I can handle Ana and Carla, you call your parents, and I’ll meet you back here with Christopher.” Buck was more level headed as he thought through next steps.
“Christopher.” Your heart broke as you said his name again and all Buck could do was bring you in for another hug, this one being quick to ensure you didn’t get worked up to the point that you wouldn’t be able to talk with the nurses inside.
Buck and Taylor left, leaving you standing inside the hospital entrance standing on the mat in front of the welcome desk. Despite Buck’s efforts you weren’t able to talk with them, you couldn’t say anything. All you could do is stand there and look down at the blood that must’ve been on Buck which transferred over to you in one of his many hugs.
It was then that you heard someone say your name along with someone else saying excuse me. As your mind came to you saw the nurse leaning their head down to look at you over the front desk and then turned to where you heard your name being called.
Hen. It was Hen. The minute you saw her, the floodgates opened. The ache in your heart finally reached the lump in your throat and any attempt to talk was met with sobs instead. Hen was quick to hold you and walk you over to the waiting room. She placed you in between her and Chimney and just consoled you until the tears eventually dried up.
“God I’m sorry, I must look a mess.”
“It’s alright, we all are.” hen squeezed your leg and the three of you sat there, your hearts pounding as the seconds passed waiting for the news if Eddie was going to make it out of surgery.

Diaz Sister Story
Alejandra took a deep, calming breath, staring at the patterns of wood in the door. She was excited. Of course she was, this was the start of her adventure. The new chapter of her book.
But with her previous chapters littered with doubt and anxieties forced upon her by overbearing parents, she still felt her hand faltering before knocking.
Turns out, she needn’t knock anyway.
“Chris, come on or you’ll be late!” The familiar voice filled her with warmth. Not a second later, the door opened and the owner of the voice startled, staring blankly for a moment before recognition registered behind soft caramel eyes- “Allie?”
“Hey big brother,” Alejandra smiled brilliantly at a baffled Eddie Diaz.
“Tía Allie!” Christopher Diaz came bounding towards the door accompanied by his crutches.
Allied beamed at the sunshine personified which also happened to be her nephew, “my little dude! Jeez you get more and more handsome every time I see you!” As Chris wrapped his arms tightly around Allie’s waist, she spun him in a circle before planting an exaggerated to his forehead, “Mwah!”
Eddie seemed to have recovered from his initial shock and was leaning up against the door watching the reunion fondly. Allie and Chris had always had a great relationship, often more like sister and brother than aunt and nephew, possibly due to her being much younger than her other siblings. In some ways Buck's friendship with Chris reminded Eddie of the one between his son and youngest sister.
“You want a turn, Eddie?” Allie proceeded to wrap her arms around Eddie’s waist and attempt to lift him as she did Christopher. She succeeded in briefly lifting him an inch off the ground, and then reached up on her tip toes to try and kiss his forehead too, her lips puckered mockingly.
“Stop that,” Eddie playfully pushed her head away, instead wrapping her in a regular hug. “What are you doing here? I didn’t think we were due a visit until Christmas? I haven’t got the bed made up for you but I can sort it later if-,”
“Hey calm down, its OK Eddie I’m the one that’s showing up unannounced. I can get a hotel room or something for a couple weeks but then I’ve actually got somewhere to stay. Permanently.” She said the last part whilst looking down to where she as nervously playing with Chris’ hair.
“Permanently?, Eddie inquired. “As in, this isn’t a visit? Is something going on? Are you OK, Allie?”
“Yeah Eds, everything is great actually. Look, weren’t you on your way out to get Little Man to school? I can’t wait to tell you everything but it can wait until you’re back.”
Eddie glanced between his watch and Christopher, who didn’t look pleased about leaving his favourite aunt when she only just got here, and replied, “yeah, you’re right. Why don’t you go in and make up some coffee, I’ll be back in a half hour.”
Allie waved goodbye to Chris, promising she would still be here when he got home and that she would build Legos with him.
She started a pot of coffee and plonked herself down at the breakfast bar. What would Eddie say about her decision? Would he be as upset as her parents had been?

as much as I hated Chris leaving... there is a 90% chance that Buck goes with Eddie to El Paso when they finally take him home, right?
in the finale, Eddie's parents didn't say a word about Buck being there, but now we could actually get the whole Diaz family's dynamic, like, hmmm, idk, for example... LET HIM MEET THE SISTERS

I am CONVINCED that the people who are genuinely surprised that Maddie didn't suspect Buck of being bi despite her jabs about him having a crush on Eddie throughout the show don't have siblings.

"I'm cold." You whined, pulling the blanket closer to your chest. Buck smiled, stretching his arms before moving closer to you. The couch made a funny sound as he smoothly tried to scoot over. You giggled at the action which made him crack a smile of his own. The corners of his mouth curled up, the sound of your laughter sounding like heaven to his ears.
Since Buck's accident, he's been pretty much stuck at home. Not that you really minded, helping him recover was one of your top priorities now. You even took some time off of work. Just a couple weeks, just until he was feeling better you promised.
"Feeling better now?" He asked. You pretended to hesitate, nuzzling your face against his chest. "Yeahhhh, I'll be alright." You teased. Another chuckle escaped his lips, pressing a kiss to your head.
Oh, how he wished he could stay in this moment forever. He felt so at ease, so peaceful and safe when he was with you.
You thoughtlessly watched the tv show that was playing while you played with the soft cotton hem of his shirt. Twisting it around your fingers. Unconsciously Buck was doing the same thing but with your other hand. His finger caressing the palm of your hand.
You stayed like this for a couple of minutes before the silence was interrupted by soft yawn. Buck pushed his face to the side before blinking a few times. Evan would feel tired often, something the doctors warned him about after he woke up from the coma.
You noticed it in him too, after a few simple task he would already be feeling sleepy. He hated it. Especially during moments like these. Even after sleeping full hours he still would feel like he hasn't slept a wink. He just wants to be with you, do simple things again with you. But it takes time. Healing takes time.
"I'm I such bad company?" You teased, perking your head up to look at him, a smile plastered on your face. Evan laughed softly while caressing your cheek with his thumb. "You? Never!" He smiled but couldn't help but feel a slight quilt forming about ruining this beautiful moment.
You noticed the shift in his eyes and wanted to tell him for the millionth time that he doesn't have to apologize or feel bad about this. He needs to heal.
Before he could say anything you poked his side, tickling him to take his mind of it. "Hey!" He laughed loudly before tickling you back. You jumped up at his fingers tickling your skin. You playfully fought back, making your way from his chest to his torso. You carefully sat up and strangeld his torso. He rested his hands on your hips to help you sit up as you proceeded to tickle his stomach. A playfull "yelp" escaped his lips as he tried holding your hands, laughter filling the room.
After his failed attempts of winning you over he called for a truce. It fell quiet again as you both tried catching your breaths after all the giggles. Here and there a small giggle manged to escape again, making you both smile like children.
Buck sat up again, positioning your hips so you were sitting more comfortable on his lap. Your legs strangled his torso. His hands grabbed your cheecks. He played with your hair before peppering your face with small kisses. "I'm so lucky to have you." He whispered. You smiled, looking at his lips before giving him a kiss. His eyes fluttered shut, deepening the kiss at your approval.
"I love you." You whispered back after a few seconds. The buckley secured his arms against your back before swiftly switching positions. You were laying with your head against the couch, he gave you a loving smile and a kiss before resting his head against your tummy. He wrapped his arms against your upper body, nestling his nose against your skin just like you did before with him.
He felt so happy, so goddamm lucky to have you. How he wished he could capture moments like this forever. Dream in them away and stay with you forever.

Allie Diaz Chapter 17 (Finale)
Here is the final chapter of Allie Diaz (for now if there is interest in a sequal!) Allie finally works out what she wants to do as a career and sibling bonding occurs of course.
Thank you to everyone that has read along and been with me for my first fanfic! I may continue to write Allie into season 4/5 if people are interested. I am also writing another fic titled A New Dawn so give that a go if you liked this one.

And so maybe I have been thinking a lot about the clipboard!118 proposal… and looking at it from the other side of things.
Tommy has had the ring a couple months now. He maybe, sorta, kinda impulsively bought it after their last date left him 100% sure Evan was the one. He just hasn’t figured out how to go about popping the question.
Logically he knows he could just casually ask him over a morning coffee, and Evan would be as speechless and emotional as if it were the most extravagant proposal to ever be proposed. But as much as Tommy would prefer a more casual approach, he still wants it to be something special. He wonders what would be most special to Evan.
And then the idea comes so easy.
The 118.
He goes to Eddie, spins the idea of getting everyone to help with the proposal. Eddie thinks it’s an amazing idea and he FaceTimes Hen and Chim to share the idea. Hen is the one to suggest the clipboard. Tommy has questions, but they all just vaguely insist its an inside joke that he will definitely get and Tommy leaves it at that.
He goes to Bobby and Athena’s next. Bobby isn’t Buck’s dad — Tommy has already set aside a day to speak with him and Buck’s mom regardless of the tension in theirs and Buck’s relationship — but he is extremely important to Buck and Tommy (hell anyone who watches their interactions) can see the feeling is mutual. Bobby couldn’t give his blessing fast enough.
The day comes and Eddie is off to start what will be a chain reaction of Buck being bounced around from person to person. After Hen takes him from Maddie and Chim’s, Tommy comes out from the room he’d been hiding in to ride with them to the station.
“You ready?” Chim asks, eyes turning soft as he straightens Tommy’s tie.
“Of course,” Tommy replies. He is, he really is. Maybe more than he has been for anything else in his life, ever.
“You got the ring?”
“Right here.” Tommy pulls the box out of his pocket.
“Is the ring in it?” Chimney asks, face now serious.
“Uhhh… yeah, it should be,” Tommy laughs.
“Have you checked…”
Tommy blinks, but Chim’s eyes are focused on the box. Tommy opens it and reveals the band inside.
Chim’s face softens once again, a big smile spreading across it and he pats Tommy on the shoulder. “Alright then… let’s go get you engaged.”

Ok well i had the brief thought “what about an ER nurse Eddie au?” and then this popped fully formed into existence so fuck it Friday pt 2.. warnings for smoking and vague references to critically injured kids
“That doesn’t seem very healthy.”
Smoke curls up from the cigarette held loosely in Eddie’s hand. “It’s not, particularly.”
Buck’s hands are in his pockets as he strolls away from the glass doors out into the ambulance bay where Eddie is doing the mature, professional equivalent of playing hide and seek. He comes to a stop barely a foot or two away from where Eddie leans against grimy concrete. “Didn’t know you were a smoker.”
“I’m not,” Eddie sighs, “Particularly.” He looks over Buck’s face as he takes a drag, cataloging bruises and cuts. He hadn’t been the one to look him over before he was discharged, probably because he was out here avoiding having to do so. “Only when it’s- only after the bad shifts.” And only once a month, even if the bad shifts come again and again. He bought this pack in January, it’s stale as shit.
Buck’s eyes follow the smoke as it drifts skyward. “Rough one today?”
Eddie thinks he probably doesn’t have to explain to Buck that it’s sometimes better when a kid is dead on arrival so he doesn’t have to try his best to administer care he knows will be useless. He doesn’t have to explain a day where nothing goes right and he loses more people than he can save and he still has to walk away from someone’s parent or wife or sister, left behind forever in a waiting room on the worst day of their life, and go on to lose the next person too. Doesn’t have to explain why he’s out here, and not in there. “Mm. We’ve got this repeat customer, always hate to have him back.”
Buck’s eyes flick to his face before they settle somewhere around his elbow. “Yeah?”
“Yeah. He seems like a nice guy. I worry about him. He’s here too often.”
Buck doesn’t look up. “What was he in for this time?”
“Minor concussion. Bruising. Lacerations.” Eddie sucks cancer into his lungs. “Heard a house fell on him.” Exhales it into the night.
Buck does look up this time, eyes a darker blue out here in the shadows. “Part of a house. Just a staircase and the- like, the balcony, really.”
“Maybe he should stay away from those.”
“From houses?” Buck asks, half his mouth twitching into a smile.
Eddie rests his head on the wall behind him. “Guess that’s not really practical.”
“No.” Buck is quiet for a moment, one hand slipping out of his pocket and running through his hair. Eddie wonders what he looks like, when he’s not here. He’s more styled, sometimes, when things aren’t very bad. He wonders if he’s usually all gelled up and neat. Eddie kind of likes the loose curls. “I’m sorry.”
“For what?”
“Making your day worse.” Buck looks genuinely apologetic, and Eddie shakes his head.
“The guy made it out okay this time.” Buck is just close enough that Eddie can kick at his boot with his sensible orthopedic sneaker. “You didn’t even need stitches.”
“That’s good.” Eddie’s left foot is pressed along the inside of Buck’s right, and Buck is staring down at them. “His favorite nurse was on break. I would have missed you if someone else had to do them.”
Eddie laughs, just a few bursts of soundless oxygen. “You gotta find new ways to see me before something happens that I can’t fix.”
Buck moves, taking the few steps necessary to lean against the wall beside him. Carefully, he takes the cigarette from Eddie’s hand, holds it between two of his own fingers, and takes a drag. Eddie watches it happen like he’s monitoring somebody’s pulse ox, and when Buck coughs he laughs again, louder this time. “Fuck,” Buck says, laughing too. “Thought that would be cooler than it was.”
“Smoking isn’t cool, firefighter Buckley,” Eddie says, taking the cigarette back and pulling from it again between smiling lips.
“Hm,” Buck says, grinning out into the night. Then he sighs, and rolls his head along the concrete to look at Eddie. “I think there’s nothing you can’t fix.”
They’re very close. “There’s lots I can’t fix.”
Buck shrugs like he disagrees. “I also think I’d like to find other ways to see you.”
Buck’s eyes are even more in shadow at this angle, and they’re the color of the lake back in El Paso that he and a bunch of kids went to after graduation, drunk off beer somebody’s cousin got for them, skinny dipping with breathless terrified delight under bright constellations. “Then ask me.”
Buck inhales as Eddie exhales. “What time’s your shift end?”
“5:30 AM. So, probably 6:15.”
Buck traces the two fingers he’d used to hold the cigarette down Eddie’s arm. “You wanna get breakfast with me?”
“Yes. I would.”
Buck smiles, and Eddie snubs out the cigarette on the wall between them. “I’ll meet you here?”
“Alright.” He takes a step forward, then a step to the right so he’s standing in front of Buck. “Two hours.”
“Uh huh.”
He should really get back inside. They’re understaffed, as always, and there are too many patients, as always, and not enough beds, as always. “See you then.” He doesn’t make any move to leave.
“See you then,” Buck almost whispers. He leans forward, and Eddie still doesn’t move, so he presses a tiny kiss to the corner of his mouth for just a moment. His lips are warm. Eddie hadn’t noticed it was cold outside.
Buck pulls back and leans against the wall again. Eddie smiles, puts a hand in his pocket, and walks back toward the doors.

Standing in front of the firehouse, you adjust your helmet and gear and feel the adrenaline rush that comes with being a firefighter. You were proud to become a paramedic at Station 118 in LA, following in your older brother Buck's footsteps. You have always admired Buck's courage and strength in leaving home, building a career, and saving lives. This job is perfect for him since he saved your life back then. You own everything you are in that moment to Buck.
You greeted everyone at the firehouse, eager for a new day. Hen and Chim checked supplies, Bobby inspected trucks, and Buck ate his breakfast undisturbed. Everyone turned theirs heads and smiled, wishing you a “Good Morning” in response.
“I hope you choke on that food. I'll let your lazy ass die anytime.” you greet your brother, still angry about him ditching you up last night and not giving you a ride in the morning.
“Love you too, munchkin!" Buck yelled with a full mouth of milk and cereals.
“Stop calling me that, I'm not five anymore!” you said firmly, pouring yourself a cup of coffee. Eddie laughed, making his way up on the stairs. “Morning to you too!” you greeted him. “Something funny?”
You brightened Station 118 for all to see. Upon entering, the room radiates warmth and light wavily pours down on everyone. You are that magnet of happiness that could cheer up any bad day. Who wouldn't love you?
You watch Eddie enter the kitchen, patting Buck's shoulder on his way to the fridge. He winked and handed you the milk, a sudden burst of warmth covering your cheeks.
Eddie is both Buck's best friend and your secret boyfriend. Well, not that secret, everyone knows except Buck. And everyone is hiding you both until you're ready to tell you big brother.
You and Eddie bonded immediately upon joining Unit 118. All the laugher and deep conversations held in Buck's living room, slowly turned into small electric touches and stolen kisses.
Eddie made excuses for Buck to babysit Christopher while he took you on little dates, most of them between the walls of his home. But you didn't care as long as you were together.
Eddie is the most amazing man you've ever met. Strong, brave, and incredibly smart. All the stories about the war and you still can't believe the man in front of you was some years ago on the open field. He's handsome, all worked up and as cheerful as you every single day. Though, the signs of the war are painted on his skin, he exudes a mature aura that masks his traumas. He's also a perfect father.
Some girls dream of men like this, even fantasies about them being a father, but all you gotta do is open your eyes and admire the view. And it's only yours.
"You're right, Y/n. You're not five. You both are five and acting like idiots.” Eddie poured himself a cup of coffee while Buck's gaze was pointed at you. His face twisted comically in confusion. How did Eddie know you need milk for your coffee without you asking for it?
Eddie is more than thankful to have beside him a woman just as perfect as an angel. You spread love, exhibits passion, demonstrates bravery in saving people, and look stunning while doing so.
However, you still hesitate to reveal your relationship with Eddie, knowing that it could complicate things with your overprotective brother.
As soon as the alarm went off calling a car crash with multiple injuries, you placed your cup on the table and run off to the truck with Eddie by your side while Buck analysing your every move and how the distance between you and Eddie closes day by day. He smells something's going on.
Throughout the day, you and Eddie teamed up seamless and efficient together. Buck, on the other hand, noticed your chemistry and couldn't help but feel a little suspicious. He first lost his partner, but could also lose his best friend and sister ? Buck brushed it off as he hurriedly approached the cars holding captive civilians, ignoring any doubts.
The quiet afternoon allowed your for reflection while washing off the blood under the hot water pouring over your bloody-covered body, then silently enjoyed Bobby's delicious lunch.
“Uh-huh, Buckley siblings aren't talking." "Something's off," Bobby quipped, eyeing the people standing around the table.
Chuckling, you searched for Eddie's sight before the alarm blared once more.
Unit 118 was dispatched to a high-rise building fire. You raced to the scene, adrenaline pumping. The team surrounded Bobby, listening to his command. “Buck, you're coming with me to the back, we need to secure an exit and search for survivors. Eddie, Y/n, Chim and Hen, search the first two floors, pull out the fire, and search for survivors, ten at number.” everyone nodded as he explained to never split up, but if needed, you stay close to a wall and never let go of the hose. “Be safe out there!” Buck nodded to you and Eddie, silently urging caution and a safe return.
As you entered the building, Eddie's firefighter instincts kicked in, and he took charge of the situation. He led the team through the thick smoke and intense heat, searching for survivors and extinguishing the flames.
But as you were making your way out of the building, a sudden explosion rocked the structure, causing debris to collapse around you. You shielded Eddie out of the way just in time, but you were struck by falling debris. Your trapped leg caused a painful mix of blood and agony.
Eddie rushed to your side, his heart pounding with fear. He checked for other injuries with shaky hands.
"Calling for help, ok? Hen and Chim will be back, and you'll be okay!” Eddie comforted, cupping your cheeks, forcing you look at him. You were conscious and likely only suffered a sprained ankle while the blood that flood around was coming from a cut above your knee.
“I'm fine, just a sprained ankle. We should go search for survivors," you suggested, gazing at the ashes of the once-mischievous flames that nearly engulfed the entire building.
Eddie looked at you in disbelief. You and Buck were remarkably alike. Or maybe the gene of recklessness run deep in both you DNA's. He's worried about the leg, despite your pleading to go search for the people stuck in that building, you can't move fast enough. It will only slow down the operation and cause any other damage.
“Here the captain, the building is clear.” Bobby radioed. You breathe easily now, the survivors were out of any harm. “Find your way back safely, the fire spreading quickly to the roof."
“Come on, we have to go.” Eddie said, pushing aside with all his strength the debris that was pinning you down. "Copy that, cap!" Eddie spoke into his radio.
“Y/n, do you copy?" Buck's voice crackled through Eddie's radio. Yours was broken in the fall. Buck searched the perimeter with worry in his eyes.
“Don't tell Buck, please.” you pleaded, afraid your brother wouldn't keep his feet at place, rushing recklessly into the burning building to save you. Eddie nodded, thinking of what he could tell his best friend.
"Y/n's radio broke, but she's en route to the hospital doing CPR.” Eddie fibbed. Bobby nodded at the words and told everyone to go back to the station as Unit 146 could handle the fire themselves. They got every other unit off duty. “Bobby, take Buck and Chim with you. I'm coming right back, Hen can give me a ride. We'll go after Y/n at the hospital.”
“Copy that. On our way now!” Bobby and Buck left, cap confident that the remaining men could handle as the fire was slowly being extinguished.
Buck obeyed Bobby's orders for your sake, though he didn’t really bite that.
As Eddie carried you out of the building with you laying on him, slowly walking to the paramedic truck, you saw Hen's eyes widening. “You said she was on her way to the hospital!" she scolded Eddie, shaking her head in a disapproving gesture. “You hurt?” she checked for injuries on your body.
“Just small bruises and a scars, a spread ankle. "Nothing serious," you report.
Eddie hugged you tight, now clear-minded. He was relieved you both returned from that building in one piece. He admired your courage and dedication. Your kindness towards the injured made him fall in love with you all over again seeing you giving all the injured people a soft smile and help they needed, without a single doubt. You hugged him back, seeking comfort in his arms, preparing your patience for when will Buck find out.
“Ok, Eddie ride with her in the back. We going to the hospital.”
Back at the firehouse, Buck was anxiously waiting for news on the fire. He waited at the station for an hour, pacing through the kitchen, eager for you to get back. His thoughts buzzed with all the worst-case scenarios. Buck rushed towards you as soon as he saw the truck reversing into the station. His eyes turned red when Eddie helped you hop up from the back of the paramedic truck, your leg all bandaged and bruises painted all over you, from your beautiful face to the arms. Slowly limping to him, Buck rushed over to you, his concern evident.
"What the hell happened?" Buck asked, his voice filled with worry.
Y/n got hit by falling debris, but she insisted on continuing to help with evacuation," Eddie explained, casting a proud glance at you. “She's fine now, just a few scratches, but she managed to clear the building.
“Screw about that building. "Why did you do that?" Buck looked at his sister, his protective instincts kicking in. "Why didn't you tell me you got hurt?" he scolded you gently.
"I didn't want to worry you," you replied, giving your brother a weak smile. "I guess you passed to me the recklessness gene," you laughed, trying to ease the tension. “I'm fine, Buck, really."
But Buck's attention shifted to Eddie, and he noticed the concerned look in the firefighter's eyes as he tended to your injury. Buck's suspicions were confirmed as he realized the truth.
"You two are dating, aren't you?" Buck asked, surprised and a little taken aback.
You and Eddie exchanged nervous glances before nodding. Buck's initial surprise turned into a mix of emotions - surprise, worry, protectiveness - but also saw the love and happiness in you both.
"I care about her, Buck," Eddie begins earnestly, looking Buck straight in the eye. "I promise to take care of her." Eddie locked his hand in yours, both of them helping you up the stairs and have a seat on the couch.
Buck couldn't deny the sincerity in Eddie's words, and he knew that you are a capable firefighter who could take care of herself. Reluctantly, he nodded and pulled you both into a tight hug. Buck knows Eddie's a great guy, he also knows about the baggage you're both dealing with, hope you'll both manage to heal each other.
"Just be careful with her," Buck said, his voice filled with emotion. "She's my little sister, and I know how a pain in the ass she could be.” he joked, passing you a glass of water.
Well, maybe all the bad did something good after all.
