It may be that you are not yourself luminous, but that you are a conductor of light. Some people without possessing genius have a remarkable power of stimulating it. -Sir Arthur Conan Doyle

I wish people would just look themselves in the mirror and TAKE RESPONSIBILITY. What are YOU doing to make things better? How are you using your words, actions and lifestyle to convey a message worth paying attention to?
I am so sick of excuses. “Oh you’re just a better person than I am. You’re just more ethical. You’re nicer. You know more about that PC stuff than I do. I’m just not interested. I don’t watch those videos because they make me sad. What I do in the end doesn’t matter since I’m just one person.”
2021 is about confronting yourself. Know that individuals together can make the biggest difference. QUIT BABYING YOURSELF. Inclusivity, environmentalism, animal cruelty, racism, glass ceilings, veganism, mental health stigmas, gender identity, the list of worthy causes to fight for could go on.
Know your stuff. Do your research. Have an opinion.
It’s okay not to know, but to be willfully ignorant is a crime. And honestly I’m so tired of people using that as an excuse to stay complicit.

If you are too kind, everything will slip through your fingers. To know the size of your palm is kindness too.

“[…] dark garden, dark garden, with your olives and your wine, your medlars and mulberries and many almond trees, your steep terraces ledged high up above the sea, I am leaving you, slinking out.”

I PASSED MY CPA EXAMS. Scores came out 3 days early and caught me by surprise and I just want to scream out into the world. I bursted into tears immediately and I just felt this huge weight lifted off of me. I am proud of myself. I feel validated. I feel so so so effervescently H A P P Y. More than when I graduated college or even grad school. Because in all honesty, this was the first time I ever gave it my everything and believed in what I was doing. And that is a feeling that is difficult to surpass indeed.
My only question for myself is - WHAT’S NEXT?!
