OK OK OK
So, Thundercracker being so disturbed at the loss of Skywarp and Starscream and Soundwave letting him think the Autobots are at fault and all.
Reflector and Frenzy FRIENDSHIP?!
RATCHET AND ARCEE FRIENDSHIP?!
Wheeljack admiring Sparkplug?!
CLIFFJUMPER YOINKING CARLY AND BEING HER BEST FRIEND.
Arcee saving Ratchet. JAZZ SAVING CLIFFJUMPER.
Arcee saving Carly.
EVERYONE BEING PROTECTIVE OF CARLY.
Sparkplug and his flashback on JIMMY.
OPTIMUS AND SPARKPLUG PARAELLES.
THE CONSTRUCTIONCONS AND DEVASTORS.
Starscream calling Optimus’ part of the war ‘evil’? BRUH.
YES! The Jimmy flashback! Looks he had been an astronaut and possibly died when something went wrong.
DWJ is sneaking more and more hints about the war in the story! I am very curious about the catalyst, how much is lipservice and posturing vs earnest belief, and what the rest of Decepticons believe. Apparently, Energon Universe is going to release a one shot(?) about the falling of the Ark, and Megatron makes a comment about the Autobot cause not being just. I am 👀👀👀! I don't think DWJ is going to be taking too much inspiration from IDW on this though and likely to be pulling from the G1 history of the Cybertronians being Quintesson slaves.
The Optimus and Sparkplug parallels are so good and really point at how similar humans and Cybertronians are! Y'all notice OP calling him "Sparky"?
There are so many friendships! Which makes the danger and fighting so much more tense! I'm gonna say it, DWJ has definitely made the emotional stakes much higher than anything I've read from IDW1 because it feels like these people genuinely like each other and it's not a ton of awful people tied together by circumstance.
I AM ITCHING FOR NEXT ISSUE AFTER SEEING DEVESTATOR!

Almost all of my Tier 2 or above Space Marines are Devastors.
But, Multimeltas are basically melee weapons.

I think it's because they are not silly in right way. Yarrick's claw is extremely silly; a highly respected member of an extremely xenophobic zealot empire wielding a alien weapon that shouldn't work for him is pretty damn goofy, badass, but still goofy.
Part of the reason the desolators look too silly is parts of the design. Why is a missile type weapon belt fed? The gun is bigger than the marine's torso and head and the Sargent is just casually holding it up with one arm. I think if you got rid of the belt feed and made the guns shoulder mounted they would be perfect.
Another good example of good silliness is the backpack lenses of these minis. There probably isn't much practical use for a giant targeting array on backpack, but it makes sense with the weapons and previous design elements of the space marine range (devastors, deathwatch veterans, master of relics, etc.)
People be complaining that the Space Marine Desolator squad looks over the top but secretly wants Yarricks orc claw back 🙄
It's supposed to be over-the-top fun and stupid you numbskulls. I want them dumber.

On a not fucked up note, what're your thoughts on Armada as a show? I think you have talked about Energon and Cybertron, right?
for armada, i think it's definitely a product of its time but overall... it's not bad? i think it's definitely slow and takes a lot of episodes to start its actual plot—it takes almost 20 episodes for it to really start trying to tell a more in-depth story—but i think even then the first 20 or so episodes are good to watch at your own pace.
the characters are also a lot better written than people usually give them flack for. hell, i think you can regard it as one of the first pieces of transformers media that attempted to give the deceptions and/or antagonists a lot more depth and characterization than just being megatron's goons, i.e. demolisher's internal fight with following his leader vs. doing what's right, cyclonus' lack of care for the war in general, starscream's entire character, etc. hell, i think armada is one of the best when it comes to showing that megatron does care about his men; it feels like he genuinely does without armada trying to make the shit he put them through okay or justifying him.
character designs are also really good! i love how they took a lot of liberties with the color choices, external customization, and how they used a lot of characters that you normally don't see in transformers all that much anymore (hotshot, red alert, etc.) and characters that i don't believe have ever really exited the unicron trilogy entirely (this specific cyclonus, devastor/scavenger, sideways, etc.). it gives itself an identity, especially since i think the voices really hammed it up for all of them.
sure, it's a classic autobot/deception war and unicron being the big bad plot, but i think the inclusion of sideways + thrust along with other little elements gives itself more of an identity, as sacrifice has always been one of armada's key storytelling points. sometimes death is cheap, but when the sad moments in armada hit, they hit.
overall, i love armada; i wouldn't call it a flawed masterpiece, but i think it had a lot of ambition and potential that a lot of transformers installations really don't attempt anymore, even if armada's roots as a toy commercial showed quite a lot. the characters were great, and although the story takes a lot of time to get going, i think it's satisfactory in general when it does and there's nothing truly offensive about armada. Dear Vector Prime, did KSI intentionally build a Vortex Grinder into Galvatron’s body based on the one Devestator wielded or was that Megatron’s mind building it into his new form?
Dear Grinding Guardian,
A little of both.
When trying to create their Galvatron model drones, KSI had trouble finding a replacement for the spark, as all their attempts produced inanimate vessels. Assuming it was a power issue, as the drones were far higher spec than the others, they created synthetic singularities, miniature black holes that they placed in the Galvatron drones. The technology for creating these had been reverse engineered from Devastor's remains, and so the black hole heart functioned the same way as that Vortex Grinder had.
Of course, this had been planned by Megatron, who wanted to make his new body as powerful as possible, and had caused the problems with the prototype drones, all to convince them that the Vortex Grinder was necessary.

Oh, yeah. Forgot about him, sorry. But I meant the other combiners, like Devastor, Menasor,Computron, Superion, etc. (I know the deveastor was referenced, but it would have still been cool to see hum. Computron specifically was on the mind when I wrote this)
The combiners should have been in cyberverse

Things I want to draw, eventually:
A dawnblade warlock, but based off of Landsknechte, they summon a massive zweihander whenever they activate their super
A sunbreaker, specifically code of the devastor, who summons a giant macuahuitl
A striker, but instead of fists of havoc, they pull out a steel chair
A shadebinder, but instead of a wizard staff they have a sailor moon-esque magic wand

The Tears
The Angel's Tears is formed entirely of former Sanguinary Guard members from the various Blood Angels chapters. After their millennia of conflict, not to mention constant fight against the Red Third and Black Rage, they become harrowed and despondant. They are often beset by visions, and need counsel in those so afflicted, or have lost the Angel's Grace after so many years fighting the horrors of the galaxy, or just their own Black Rage, and as such chose to isolate themselves from their fellow Blood Angels, rather than inflict their nature upon them. It is both an honour and a tragedy when a Sanguinary Guard joines the Angel's Tears, and the loss of a member is a tragedy for all Blood Angels chapters.
While the primary equipment is all akin to a Sanguinary Guard, they maintain a simple right pauldron, bearing the colours of their originating chapter. This reminds them as their time as a new brother in the chapter, a single tether binding them to the material world.
The Shard
The have long forgotten from whence it came, but The Shard is a fragment of a forgotten planet on which they once dwelt. How the Sharp functions is beyond understanding. The only thing they know is that it follows the will of the Tears, and takes them to where they are needed. The Shard has been turned into a fortress-monastery, and tended to by The Unshed.
The Unshed
The Tears have brothers from the various Blood Angels chapters to see to their needs, and aid them as best they can, and these brothers often bring serfs with them in service to the Tears. This is typically done by those with enough experience to gain from their council, but still an eagerness to learn and care for their elders.
The Council of Tears
The ruling body of the Angel's Tears, the Council of Tears is made up of all Tears, or at least all willing or able to take part in the council. Frequently, one of the Visionaries will appear in the council to give cryptic advice from a vision, and this advice is always heeded.
Path
Precipice
Left Pauldron: Sanguinary Gold
Those on the precipice are those who have not yet fallen down a path.
Lost
Left Pauldron: Black
Those eternally beset by the Black Rage. Unlike their Death Company counterparts, they have enough control to not inflict it upon their brothers. They are not locked away, but still normally seek isolation.
Munitor
Left Pauldron: Blue
These are those who get lost when firing weapons. Their blood roils as their see nothing but the targets in their sites. They bear the heavy weaponry of a Devastor, but maintain the flight packs and armour of the Sanguinary Guard.
Paragon
Left Pauldron: Silver
While all Sanguinary Guard are champions, the Paragons of the Angel's Tears are champions among champions.
Sanguinary
Left Pauldron: Red
Those who served as Sanguinary Priests in their chapter before become Sanguinary Guards. They fight like a Sanguinary Guard, but care for their brothers as an Apothecary. Recovered Gene Seed is returned to it's originating chapter.
Visionary
Left Pauldron: Violet
Those beset by vision. They are the ones that guide The Tears. They are beset by visions of the future, past, and present. They can see an enemy's plans oft before they even make them.
Notes
Why don't we know about the Angel's Tears?
Because you're not a Blood Angel, and they don't like talking about how senile their venerated elders are.
