do you know what the personas are for the au?

SO! here is the post where I went over my plans for that. I have settled on a few things since then, namely that I may be swapping skizz to enkidu and that grian is definitely signy, not helen, so the lineup currently is joel wild card/pygmalion, scar is majnun, grian is signy, skizz is enkidu, impulse is odette, mumbo is ariadne, and gem is cleopatra. the common theme is “legendary/mythological lovers”, for the record, and I am not FULLY sold on all of these if I can be sold another one that still fits the theme, if it’s not on-theme I can’t take it…

…for the first stage personas. the thing is, I’ve realized I can switch themes for the ultimate personas, and that ultimate personas seem to tend to stay “on-theme” less well than the initial personas do. (in literally all three persona games there’s at least one ultimate persona that breaks the “theme” for the party personas, lol.) so I am FULLY undecided on literally anyone’s ultimate persona, and will also take suggestions for those as people have them!

This just gets me thinking so much! ive wanted to play silent hill ... i had a rly hard time a couple years ago trying sh1 (mostly bc of tank controls...). do you have any recommendations for having a better time w the series? or is it kinda just a situation of like. get better LOL

yeag, silent hill 1 is rly janky. I have a hard time recommending it cuz its basically just a slightly worse re1 in terms of gameplay.

best entry point is, of course, silent hill 2. especially with the enhanced edition mod, which fixes a lot of the issues that the PC port has

alternatively, if u like female protags and some weird shit, silent hill 3 is good and genuinely a terrifying experience. it is a "direct" sequel to the first game so a lot of the story is relevant to it but mostly for contextualising why shit is happening to the protag. u can still enjoy it as a great horror experience without needing to play SH1

hi!! im just barely starting umineko - im on chapter one so i dont think its a spoiler, but. i got to the scene with george and shannon in the gazebo, during the storm? and im having. a difficult time telling if im supposed to like george - it felt really like, Skeevy to me, and im curious if you had the same thoughts? im ofc wayyy earlier than you, so it might be hard 2 answer without like. thinking about what happens later than you know about - apologies!

talking as best i can about it without going further ahead than the proposal scene, i do think you're meant to be weirded out by it to some extent. i've thought a lot more about george and shannon and the nature of both of them and their relationship since then, but this is a screenshot from my very initial reaction to this part of the story:

i don't think the story is forcing you one way or another to like or dislike george, but the story does want you to be aware that there are multiple things wrong with this relationship. george is several years older than shannon. george is substantially richer than shannon. shannon is trapped in a subservient position to george where she can't easily refuse his requests, coming after a scene where she was shown to pliantly accept battler's attempted sexual assault of her because she is "furniture". it's really not good on any level!

i personally landed on the "can't stand george's ass" verdict (i understand him better now, but i still think he's a pathetic inept weirdo who's obsessed with trying to be someone he's not and he fills me with equal parts cringe and ick) but that doesn't necessarily mean my interpretation is correct. the george/shannon relationship is as much a skeevy predatory power imbalance as it is two kids trapped by circumstances in way over their heads (both are desperate for this relationship for different reasons). i think multiple things are true at once here, as is the case with a few morally complicated characters/situations in this story.

so long as you're making a sincere attempt to understand as many facets of these people as you can i think you'll be on the right track! but for what it's worth Yes i was immediately and viscerally grossed out by the proposal scene. i think that is the intended reaction haha.

I have found I'm huge on Japanese Shoegaze more than anything but there's stuff from all over gonna plug my Girlfriend's RYM aswell since she's way more musically ... smart than I am.

I made these jorts in 22 hours over the course of 3 days! pure willpower via my love for cassie sandsmark because I am a total novice in sewing and i am still not very good at it. (i really just combined various tutorials and improvised on measurements and then regretted improvising measurements later on).

I thrifted these jeans last year for cassie vibes (even though I had already made her star-spangled red bellbottoms at that point) and wasn't a fan of how they fit + I couldn't figure out how to style them. I enjoyed sewing in the panels to flare them out and then everything else (cargo pockets and sewing in stars) was hell <3

the pockets are not placed well (nor are they particularly well-made), the hem is uneven, the stars are quite janky (and I think I stitched on too many), I probably stabbed my fingers a million times, and I am so in love with them
