the evolution of youtube lps makes me pretty sad. you used to watch moment to moment gameplay on the screen. you'd do everything together as a creator and audience, so there was a lot of mutual learning, goals, and advice. but now people will condense 200 hours of work into a single 30 minute blindingly fast summation of some dazzlingly over the top idea they had with editing that makes my teeth hurt. I miss sitting around watching "caving episodes" of hermitcraft or q&a building a farm together, farming and experimenting for fun... now it's always gotta be bigger and better and retention means doing almost every scrap of work off camera. it feels so detached and impersonal now. I just want to feel included yk

I think this proves my suspicion that Aaron Boone is betting against the Yankees. I hope that he's winning a lot of money because he'll need the money because I don't think that he'll still be our manager next year. I hope that he is not. He's a very, very bad manager, and he's destroying my team. If Boone stays, I bet Soto leaves. This is absurd. De Los Santos just gave up another run. And he's still pitching. Really? Wow. Friendly reminder that if you talk about how representation is important and how there's not enough diverse media, I implore you to seek out the media that already exists. And if you live in an area with a public library, go to see if they're available at your public library. And then go check them out.

As a librarian, it is demoralizing to see how low the circulation statistics are on lgbt+ books and books by BIPOC authors. I include them in displays and readers advisory, but people still don't check them out as much. Libraries only have a finite amount of resources, including space. We don't get a book then keep it forever. If not enough people check it out, we have to get rid of it to make room for more books. And when James Patterson Book #69 gets checked out 30 times in one year and cool, subversive Sci fi novel with a Black trans woman main character has never been checked out once, the librarian (me) has to make a hard decision.

If you're looking for something tangible and easy to do this pride month, look for lgbt+ books (there are millions of lists online that you can find. It's easier than it's ever been to find diverse books) and check them out from your library.

No time to read? Look for a short story or poetry anthology and just read as much as you have time for. Or just check out a book cus it looks interesting and read as much as you can. We have movies too.

As cool as it would be for me to just keep the books I want and get rid of the ones I don't, I have to listen to the community on matters of collection development. And the community tells me what books they want by checking them out and leaving the ones they don't want on the shelf.

If you think this doesn't apply to you because you live in a progressive area and obviously the books are being checked out, you're wrong. I once worked in a community with a large lgbt population. Those books were not getting checked out. If you want to tell me you live in a conservative area and your library doesn't have any diverse books, you are legally obligated to check the catalog before replying to this post. I currently work in a conservative community and we have lgbt+ and bipoc books. And if you still cannot find any, you are legally obligated to see if your library has a collection request form that patrons can fill out before replying to this post.

I want to turn the game off, but i won't. Pitching is destroying my team again. We traded to get new pitchers who are just as bad as the old pitchers. Really? Great plan, not. The only good trade that we made was for Jazz Chisholm Jr.. De Los Santos has given up two runs and, for some reason, unbeknownst to me, is still pitching. Boone let Gil stay in when he shouldn't have, and now he's doing it with De Los Santos. It's not right. The rest of the team is doing their jobs well, but once again, pitching is giving away the game. The Chicago White Sox have lost 24 of their last 25 games, and they're beating us by 6. How is this happening? We're one of the best teams in the show, and they are the worst team in the show. WTF? Use some cash, man, Mr. Cashman and get us some pitchers, please 🙏🏼 De Los Santos just gave up a 3 run home run, and he's still pitching. That's 5 runs this inning. This is the largest lead that the White Sox have had all year. De Los Santos hasn't even gotten an out yet this inning, and Boone is keeping him in!! AAUUGGHH!! The White Sox are on pace to lose more games than anyone in baseball history, and they're beating us by 9. Un fucking believable!!! It's demoralizing. My poor team. Let's go Yankees!!!!! Webtoon removed the "time and time again will return!!!" Banner and I don't know why, but it's not over!!! There's still another 1/3 of the comic to go! There's a lot more stuff that I'm working on and it'll be coming back soon!

Please be patient with me, I know it's been a long time... But the stuff I'm making is really good and there's a lot of reasons it's taken this long. I promise I want it back more than anyone.
