anywho what i meant to grab was this. funny how daisuke started off the entire series accusing dark and solely dark of being the thief. it wasn't just the morals of theft, though. daisuke rejected dark a lot partly because he also doubted himself too much to ever believe that he could truly be (like) dark. it's dark that everyone in azumano thinks is 'cool' and adores; it's dark that daisuke puts away from him onto a pedestal, and constantly, subconsciously believes is the only part of himself that has any worth or value to multiple people. what daisuke so often fails to face and reconcile as his true thoughts/feelings, and what dark constantly tries to tell him (and is even always waiting for!) is that they are ultimately one and the same. tldr i just started wondering if people really knew why that 'you're like dark' space was on daisuke's bingo board but to hear it (most of the time) and to be positively compared to dark makes daisuke really Really happy.
