Thinking about the demo tracks a lot lately. HOLE in particular.

Just imagining Juno making Beej in charge of that pointless job to keep his ass out of trouble.

You ever find yourself listening to a band's demo take instead of the final release due to the label over producing the hell out of the music

Welp. Here it is, a year in the making.

Since the release of Somber Memories, I've frequently made new simple tracks on my journey to teach myself music just as I teach myself 3D. Most of the tracks on this collection were either meant to be part of bigger music albums or were meant to be background noise for animation projects.

I don't know when I'll release another collection of music. My current goal is to get Delta Final and a short film done before graduation so I can put them on my portfolio. There is only so much more (good) music I have on my hard drive but I'm certain I will be taking a crack at making more sometime in the future. I might even set up a bandcamp but that isn't set in stone right now.

from my perspective the accent thing is less about passive aggressiveness and more just that most people whose first language isn't english don't like having an accent? like I've worked very hard to purge any traces of my mother tongue from any other languages i speak (including english), mostly because foreign accents get clowned on a lot

These are interesting! That didn't even cross my mind. When I would speak my mother's native tongue to family and friends they'd point out my accent as a way to accommodate me that they're aware it's not my first language even if I am pretty fluent otherwise. When I wrote that line I wrote it as Cal trying to connect to MC in some kind of way 🤔 I'll keep that in mind! Maybe I'll change it and figure out some other way to show that :>

I suppose it's just one of those things that's simply a product of the perspective of the author writing it! hard to realize until it's pointed out like now :> if you were bothered by it then I apologize :>

Our music is still, of course, blacker than bottomless lakes, and even more eerie, depressive. and deep! The lyrics for the demo was about vampirism, witchism, black magic etc.
