Honestly, I am surprised that I managed to finish the series. This has been my biggest project in quite a while, since most of the time I work on funny short stories. This was so much more time consuming from planning over doing research up to the actual drawing process.

It's an incredibly sappy story with an even sappier ending...but sometimes I just need to work on something like this. And I loved giving the Targtower siblings at least some kind of happy ending...in the afterlife, reunited. In peace with their dragons.

I don't understand why people get upset with the Greens' and Alicent's willingness to believe that Viserys' deathbed prophecy truly was about Aegon? I think that the show explained very well why they needed to believe this. Aegon never had a single ounce of acknowledgment from his father growing up. Of course he would have very much liked to believe that his father had a prophetic revelation that restored him as a rightful son in his eyes. All he wanted was to feel worthy of him (see Ep. 9, the carriage scene with Alicent). And so did all of the Green kids, they wanted to feel worthy of their father's love and somehow feel that they belonged. That they were Targaryen enough for the standards of their father. And Alicent wanted her sacrifice and devotion to have a meaning so, of course she would have hung on to the idea that Viserys, even if it took him 20 years to do so, finally recognized her sacrifice with his dying breath. They needed this confirmation more than anything and when the opportunity came they were more than ready to delude themselves. Because feeling completely abandoned and unworthy hurt even more.

They are so tragically desperate and I love them to bits.

sorry to be the bearer of bad news but if you think aegon iii would have “healed from his trauma” with the daughter of his mother’s murderer then you’re delulu. the boy who wore black all his life? the boy that gave away jaehaera’s doll the first chance he got? the boy that was so discomforted by jaehaera’s presence that the maesters even noted how he was less discomforted by myrielle peake’s presence than jaehaera? it’s fine to have headcanons or whatever, but seriously. aegon iii would sooner ride a dragon than “heal” with the girl he was forced to marry.

Based on what? On her bad hearing? Even Otto didn’t believe her when she told him. He just used this to his advantage.

Everyone knows (lords, ladies, smallfolk, guards, knights, maids etc.) that Viserys wanted Rhaenyra to succeed him. He made it obvious throughout his entire reign.

And everyone (including the Green supporters) knows that this is a Hightower plot to put Aegon on the throne and not the actual wishes of King Viserys.

And isn’t Alicent contradicting herself? One minute she claims that no one accepts Rhaenyra and the next she talks about “Rhaenyra’s supporters”. So, which is it?

Can’t wait to see her jaw drop when she finds out how many Houses would rather go to war for Queen Rhaenyra than accept the Hightower son who already sits the throne.
