How they both have to maintain distance from others bc of their positions as captain & vulcan #I hate when people dismiss Tuvok as not being remotely interested in Maryana or Noss - it erases an interesting struggle that he and Janewa #both share - their desire to stay loyal to their spouses vs the 70 years of loneliness that that loyalty demands of them #But they BOTH triumph and they BOTH remain loyal (Tuvok until he returns to T'Pel and Janeway until Mark informs her that it's over)#and for both of them it's a little bit insane for them to do that.#Isn't it more interesting that Janeway and Tuvok both have feelings for people other than their spouses but don't give in #to that temptation?#They're both people who live very fastidiously by codes. Either written codes or moral codes - they very rarely if ever do things because #it's what THEY want to do. I'd say they're the least emotion-driven members of the crew and yes I'm including Seven because Seven #has a very...how to describe? It's a blunt and insular selfishness. She does what SHE wants to do and doesn't really care about others.#To me that's emotion-driven. Or...personal desire-driven? Not a bad thing at all but very different from Janeway & Tuvok who #are always more 'this is logical' or 'this is for the crew' rarely do they think 'this is what I want' bc they can't afford to #for different reasons (captain & vulcan)#they both also are in the most 'caretaking' positions on the ship from my POV. Security and Captain - both are directly in charge of #ship and crew safety.#Janeway & Tuvok #star trek voyager #st voy #when I say caretaking I'm NOT saying they're everyone's mom and dad or whatever - I'm saying they're in positions where they always #have to think about the greater good and the crew as a whole and how much danger is acceptable etc etc.#Janeway is always killing herself for the crew but Tuvok is right there beside her

people who think clem surviving makes no sense are so funny. "they were literally foreshadowing her death the entire season" let me introduce you to the concept of a red herring. she tells lilly she isnt lee and shes right. the narrative was forcing her down that path, a path she saw as an inevitable fate waiting to take her too, but its a narrative broken by aj, who is also his own person and not S1 clem

"it happened to lee, and itll happen to you" lilly tells clem she'll die protecting aj from some mistake he makes, when in reality his defiance of her will is what saves her life after she had already accepted her fate. he breaks clem free from the lee cycle and they get their relatively happy ending. good for them

#anyway in the commentary they talk about how they Were going to have a death ending but didnt like the idea of the good/bad ending #and how people would moreso try to avoid the 'bad end' which i understand and appreciate bc thats usually what happens #so instead they gave us both :) idk why some people seem to have such a huge problem with that #they broke the cycle :) the ericson kids broke the cycle by being a loving community :) they all break the cycle by refusing the delta #lilly and minnie were both lost to the cycle. lilly with her dad and minnie with lilly #minnie couldnt let go. clem almost did the same and it would have killed her too. but aj makes a Choice and it saves her #god even tho clem is noticeably happier in s4 shes still so gd depressed and Tired. she accepted it so fast im so glad he saved her #like idk you saw her come back on screen after that massive fake out and you got Mad?? i was crying twice as hard #i know ive made this similar post before but like i still see this criticism in 2024 and i just have to laugh now #it speaks #twdg #i just love the narrative threads of S4 bro.... seasons 1 and 4 are two sides of the same coin and i love that. its satisfying

Ok If you see john dory x Delta Dawn is Canon or not in the AU Of so what is Branch reaction to it.

I’ve been thinking about this for a bit. I might make Delta and John a couple in the future, but for now it’s unsure. Although, Branch would be strictly against it because that’s his MOM and his brother who is kinda like his father figure. It’s definitely weird to him but he starts to accept it after a while. And if John and Delta decide to have a kid Branch will see them as a sibling (he’d love that kid more than anything for sure).

#tech outage is not the airlines’ fault obviously but how they’ve responded to it is #aka I checked in for my flight tomorrow this morning and they just now told me it’s been canceled #delta has 0 flights going out tomorrow #zilch #the few remaining (all Alaska or American) flights are nearly $500 for a one way ticket #and none of them get in until tomorrow evening #my step mom scheduled to have family photos taken tomorrow afternoon #and my dad originally paid for the ticket.#literally a situation designed to kill me via ultra concentrated eldest daughter guilt

This needs to be known and it has gotten some traction on TikTok, but flight attendants DO NOT get PAID during boarding

Delta airlines is the only airlines in USA that pays their flight attendants during boarding (and it’s fucking recent development)

Every other airline in America does not pay their flight attendants for boarding and deplaning

To be honest, as soon as I set foot in the fucking airport, I should be getting paid

Our pay starts when the wheels of the airplane takeoff and ends when the wheels touch the ground and then we get pre-diem pay when we’re away from base but that’s like $2 an hour

#yeah Delta won’t give me the time of day #they have rejected me seven times #and I’d like to mention my dad is a Delta pilot and my stepmom was a dosa flight attendant but yet I can’t get fucking hired there

DELTA SQUAD AS FATHERS

I just want to say this before I start, they are my personal headcanons and aren't facts. I view them differently than probably the rest of the fandom. But here we go!

Boss:

Boss would be similar to Sev but a bit more controlling. Like, he already has the "perfect" woman and if they were to have a child, he'll almost see it as a sign of his greatness.

Sev:

Sev would be someone that would be okay with the outcome of having unprotected sex, but he isn't the type to walk away either, you know?

Fixer:

Fixer would be a father by accident, and to some degree refuses to entertain the thought of it. Until the child is born, but that also depends how much he considers the person he knocked up as a partner.

Scorch:

Scorch on the other hand, I feel like would be scared to have his own child. Like maybe being a stepdad to someone else's kids would be a better fit or adoption. But if all the protection fails then he'll express his concerns and then go from there
