medical update
going to stop PT bc it isn’t helpful and getting there once a week is only increasing my pain
my chest pain might be from a stress fracture, so i should get that checked out
my forearm crutch is causing excess stress on my shoulders, chest, and back so i should stop using it and start using trekker poles (those lightweight walking poles ppl use for hiking)
and finally, the thing i was most anxious about—my PT agrees that a wheelchair would be beneficial to me on longer outings so she’s writing me a letter of recommendation that will go to the spine dr i see in july so they can prescribe it. from there i’ll go to a wheelchair clinic and get fitted for a custom chair! i was terrified she’d brush me off and say i’ll be okay without it, so this is great.
i’m just frustrated bc my spinal exam is in late july, so i have three more months of no medical aid or oversight in the worst time of the year for me (summer). i’m just supposed to push through.
hopefully this week i can get to my pcp to get a chest x-ray, but i doubt they’ll have an appt for me so i’ll probably end up in the er (there’s no real urgent care around me, otherwise i’d go there).
i’m glad to be done with PT for now since it wasn’t helping, but i’m sad to see this physical therapist go. she was really insightful and always listened to me and actually took in what i had to say instead of just nodding and then answering based on what a medical textbook told her. hopefully this spinal doctor in july will be just as thoughtful and humble.

As a chronic back pain sufferer, here’s some stuff I recommend!
A rechargeable or usb heating pad. For on the go relief!
Get some magnesium and lavender or menthol bath salts
Lidocaine patches don’t do too much for me, but I’ve heard they help a lot of other people.
Biofreeze cream or gel, super nice after a hot bath to make those muscles feel better! I prefer the cream lotion.
THC. Seriously this helps.
One of those back pillows for reading in bed with the little arm things. Those are the best.
I’d also say spearmint essential oils. Make sure it is skin safe!
Cleaning service. Dude I need this so bad. I cannot clean when in a flare up and my apartment is a disaster
I don’t use it too much but having a really big back ice pack helps once in a while when heat isn’t. It does contract the muscles but hey sometimes that’s what you need.
Some Uber eats gift cards
A premade meal delivery service like Factor 75 (I’ve never tried it but I’m looking into it at the moment and I’ve heard good things from there)
If they are trying to make the leap into mobility aids, I’d recommend a king gear cane. They’re like 15/20 bucks on Amazon. Also get them stickers to put on it!
They prob already have this but a back brace!
Definitely add on, i totally want some suggestions for myself too!!!
hey guys so I have a friend with chronic back pain and I got her for secret Santa and I would like to get her some self care things or just things that might make her day a bit easier, I was thinking some heat packs because she really likes those, but do u guys have any other ideas?
thanks so much ❤️
if you doing have any ideas please reblog so I can reach more people ☁️

The Pathophysiology Of Spondylitis
Spondylitis is a comprehensive term used to describe a group of chronic inflammatory diseases that primarily affect the joints of the spine and the sacroiliac region, which includes the pelvis and lower spine. These conditions are characterized by arthritis-like symptoms and can lead to significant discomfort, reduced mobility, and other systemic complications. This detailed exploration will indulge into the nature of spondylitis, how it differs from the related condition known as spondylosis, the various types of spondylitis, diagnostic methods, treatment options, and complementary therapies.
What is Spondylitis?
Spondylitis involves inflammation of the joints, tendons, and ligaments within the spine and sacroiliac region. Tendons are connective tissues that attach muscles to bones, while ligaments connect bones to other bones. This inflammation can result in the fusion of bones (ankylosis) and the formation of new bone, leading to stiffness and reduced flexibility in the spine. In severe cases, excessive bone growth can cause significant curvature of the spine, known as kyphosis.
Spondylitis vs. Spondylosis
While both spondylitis and spondylosis cause pain in the hip and back, they are distinct conditions with different etiologies and characteristics.
Spondylitis is an autoimmune disorder where the immune system mistakenly attacks the joints, causing inflammation, bone fusion, and excessive bone formation. This condition typically develops in teenagers and young adults and can affect multiple organs and systems within the body.
Spondylosis, on the other hand, is a degenerative condition associated with aging and the natural wear and tear of the spine. It involves the degeneration of spinal joints and discs, often accompanied by the formation of bone spurs (osteophytes). Spondylosis primarily affects older individuals, with more than 85% of people over the age of 60 experiencing this condition.
Types of Spondylitis
Medical professionals categorize spondylitis using two primary classification systems: the traditional system and the newer system. The traditional system recognizes six specific types of spondylitis, whereas the newer system categorizes spondylitis into two broad types based on the affected body region.
Traditional Spondylitis Classifications:
a) Ankylosing Spondylitis (AS)
Symptoms: Ankylosing spondylitis primarily affects the spine, causing symptoms such as fatigue, chronic back pain, stiffness, and inflammation in various areas of the body, including joints and tendons. Over time, the vertebrae may fuse, leading to reduced mobility and flexibility.
Causes: The exact cause of AS is unknown, but a strong genetic association exists with the HLA-B27 gene. Approximately 90% of individuals with AS carry this gene, although not all carriers develop the disease.
b) Reactive Arthritis
Symptoms: Reactive arthritis typically presents with a triad of symptoms including arthritis (swelling and pain in joints), conjunctivitis (inflammation of the eyes with a sticky discharge), and urethritis (genital and bladder inflammation with painful urination). However, not all patients exhibit all three symptoms.
Causes: often follows a gastrointestinal infection or a sexually transmitted infection (STI). The immune system overreacts to the initial infection, leading to inflammation and joint pain. The HLA-B27 gene is also strongly linked to ReA, with 30–50% of affected individuals carrying this gene.
c) Psoriatic Arthritis (PsA)
Symptoms: Psoriatic arthritis is associated with the inflammatory skin condition psoriasis. Symptoms include dactylitis (swelling in toes and fingers), changes in nails (such as pitting), eye pain, joint pain, reduced range of motion, and fatigue. PsA typically affects people aged 30–50.
Causes: PsA often follows psoriasis, but it can also develop in individuals without skin symptoms. There is a genetic predisposition to PsA, with at least 10% of the population inheriting genes that increase susceptibility to psoriasis and PsA.
d) Enteropathic Arthritis (EnA)
Symptoms
Enteropathic arthritis is linked to inflammatory bowel diseases (IBDs) such as ulcerative colitis and Crohn’s disease. Symptoms include abdominal pain, bloody diarrhea, and joint swelling and pain.
Causes
The precise cause of EnA is unclear, but it is associated with chronic inflammation in the bowel. This inflammation may allow bacteria to penetrate the bowel wall, triggering an immune response that leads to joint inflammation. The HLA-B27 gene is also linked to EnA.
d) Juvenile Spondyloarthritis (JSpA)
Symptoms
Juvenile spondyloarthritis begins in individuals aged 16 or younger and typically affects the leg joints. Symptoms include joint pain, tenderness, and bowel inflammation.
Causes
Similar to adult spondylitis, JSpA is often associated with the HLA-B27 gene. The exact cause remains unknown, but genetic and environmental factors likely play a role.
e)Undifferentiated Spondyloarthritis (USpA)
Symptoms
USpA is characterized by a variety of symptoms that do not fit neatly into a specific rheumatoid disorder. Symptoms may include persistent lower back pain, joint pain in small and large joints, heel pain, swelling in hands and feet, general stiffness, eye inflammation, rash, urinary tract symptoms, and intestinal inflammation.
Causes
The causes of USpA are diverse and not fully understood. It encompasses a range of symptoms that do not meet the criteria for other specific types of spondylitis.
Newer Spondylitis Categorizations
Peripheral Spondyloarthritis (pSpA)
Peripheral spondyloarthritis affects joints and tendons outside the spine and sacroiliac joints, such as the hands, wrists, elbows, shoulders, knees, ankles, and feet. It includes forms of spondylitis such as reactive arthritis, enteropathic arthritis, and undifferentiated arthritis.
2. Axial Spondyloarthritis (AxSpA)
Axial spondyloarthritis involves inflammation and pain in the pelvis and spine. This category covers a broad range of spondylitis types and includes individuals with and without sacroiliac joint fusion. AxSpA is further subdivided into non-radiographic AxSpA (without visible joint damage on X-rays) and radiographic AxSpA (visible joint damage).
Diagnosis
Diagnosing spondylitis involves abroad approach, combining physical examination, medical history, and various diagnostic tests. There is no single definitive test for spondylitis, making a comprehensive evaluation essential.
a) Physical Examination
During a physical examination, the doctor will assess the patient’s symptoms, medical history, and family history of autoimmune diseases such as psoriasis and spondyloarthritis. The examination may include evaluating joint tenderness, swelling, and range of motion.
b) Diagnostic Tests
Blood Tests: Blood tests can help identify markers of inflammation, such as elevated erythrocyte sedimentation rate (ESR) and C-reactive protein (CRP). Testing for the presence of the HLA-B27 gene can also provide valuable information, although not all individuals with spondylitis carry this gene.
Imaging Tests: Imaging techniques are crucial for diagnosing spondylitis and assessing the extent of joint and bone damage.
X-rays: X-rays can reveal changes in the spine and sacroiliac joints, such as joint fusion and bone spurs.
MRI Scans: MRI scans provide detailed images of soft tissues and can detect early signs of inflammation and joint damage that may not be visible on X-rays.
Ultrasound Scans: Ultrasound scans can be used to assess inflammation in peripheral joints and tendons.
Genetic Testing: Testing for the HLA-B27 gene can support the diagnosis, particularly in cases where clinical symptoms and imaging findings are inconclusive.
Treatment
While there is no cure for spondylitis, various treatments can help manage symptoms, reduce inflammation, and improve the patient’s quality of life. Treatment plans are often tailored to the individual’s specific symptoms and disease severity.
Medications
Nonsteroidal Anti-Inflammatory Drugs (NSAIDs): NSAIDs are commonly used to reduce inflammation and pain in spondylitis patients. Examples include ibuprofen and naproxen.
Corticosteroids: Corticosteroids, such as prednisone, can be prescribed for short-term use to control severe inflammation and pain.
Disease-Modifying Antirheumatic Drugs (DMARDs): DMARDs, including methotrexate and sulfasalazine, can help manage symptoms and slow disease progression in some types of spondylitis.
Biologic Agents: Biologic agents, such as tumor necrosis factor (TNF) inhibitors (e.g., adalimumab, etanercept) and interleukin-17 (IL-17) inhibitors (e.g., secukinumab), target specific components of the immune system to reduce inflammation and prevent joint damage.
Analgesics: Pain relievers, such as acetaminophen, may be used to manage pain when inflammation is not the primary issue.
Physical Therapy
Physical therapy plays a crucial role in managing spondylitis by improving and maintaining spine flexibility and overall mobility. Techniques may include:
Massage Therapy: Therapeutic massage can help reduce muscle tension, improve circulation, and alleviate pain.
Spinal Manipulation: Performed by a trained physical therapist or chiropractor, spinal manipulation can enhance mobility and reduce pain.
Exercises: Tailored exercise programs can help strengthen muscles, improve posture, and enhance flexibility. Stretching exercises are particularly beneficial for maintaining spine and joint flexibility.
Breathing Exercises: Breathing exercises are essential for individuals with ankylosing spondylitis, as the condition can affect chest expansion and respiratory function. These exercises help maintain normal lung function and prevent restrictive lung disease.
Surgery: Surgery is generally considered a last resort and is reserved for severe cases where conservative treatments have failed. Surgical options include:
Joint Replacement: For patients with severe joint damage, joint replacement surgery (e.g., hip or knee replacement) can restore function and relieve pain.
Spinal Surgery: In cases of severe spinal deformity or nerve compression, spinal surgery may be necessary to correct curvature and alleviate pressure on nerves.
Complementary Therapies
In addition to conventional treatments, complementary therapies can provide additional symptom relief and improve overall well-being. These therapies are often used alongside standard medical treatments.
Massage Therapy: Massage therapy can help reduce muscle tension, improve blood circulation, and alleviate pain and stiffness in the affected areas.
Relaxation Techniques: Techniques such as deep breathing, progressive muscle relaxation, and meditation can help manage stress and reduce pain perception.
Yoga: Yoga combines physical postures, breathing exercises, and meditation to improve flexibility, strength, and relaxation. Yoga can be particularly beneficial for maintaining spine flexibility and reducing pain.
Acupuncture: Acupuncture involves the insertion of thin needles into specific points on the body to stimulate the nervous system and promote natural pain relief and healing.
Cupping: Cupping is a traditional therapy that involves placing suction cups on the skin to improve blood flow and reduce muscle tension. It can be used to alleviate pain and stiffness in the back and other affected areas.
Summary
Spondylitis encompasses a range of chronic inflammatory diseases that affect the spine and sacroiliac region. It is characterized by autoimmune-driven inflammation, leading to joint pain, stiffness, and potential bone fusion. Spondylitis is distinct from spondylosis, a degenerative condition associated with aging. Medical professionals classify spondylitis into various types based on symptoms and affected body regions. Diagnosis involves a combination of physical examination, medical history, blood tests, imaging, and genetic testing. While there is no cure, treatments such as medications, physical therapy, and complementary therapies can help manage symptoms and improve the quality of life for those affected by spondylitis. By understanding the nature of spondylitis and the available management strategies, individuals can better navigate their condition and maintain an active, fulfilling life.

Ayurvedic Treatment for Back Pain Relief
Kati Vasti is a specialised Ayurvedic therapy that focuses on relieving lower back pain and discomfort. This treatment is particularly effective for conditions such as lumbar spondylosis, sciatica, and chronic lower back pain. “Kati” refers to the lower back, and “Vasti” means a container or reservoir, symbolizing the retention of medicated oil on the affected area.
The Procedure of Kati Vasti
Kati Vasti involves the application of warm, medicated oil to the lower back, which is retained in a specially constructed reservoir made of dough. The therapy is typically performed as follows:
Preparation: The patient is asked to lie face down on a treatment table. A ring or dam made of black gram dough is placed on the lower back, forming a sealed reservoir.
Application of Oil: Warm, medicated oil is poured into the dough reservoir. The oil is chosen based on the patient’s dosha type and specific condition. Commonly used oils include Mahanarayan oil, Kottamchukkadi oil, and Sahacharadi oil.
Retention: The oil is retained in the dough reservoir for a specified period, usually between 20 to 40 minutes. During this time, the warmth and medicinal properties of the oil penetrate deep into the tissues, muscles, and bones.
Massage: After the oil is drained, the therapist may perform a gentle massage on the lower back to enhance the therapeutic effects.
Post-Treatment: The area is cleaned, and the patient is advised to rest. Follow-up sessions may be recommended depending on the severity of the condition.
Benefits of Kati Vasti
Pain Relief: Kati Vasti is highly effective in relieving pain in the lower back, especially in conditions like sciatica, disc herniation, and muscle spasms.
Muscle Relaxation: The warmth of the oil helps relax tense muscles, reducing stiffness and improving mobility.
Improved Circulation: The therapy enhances blood circulation in the affected area, promoting healing and reducing inflammation.
Nourishment of Tissues: The medicated oils used in Kati Vasti provide nourishment to the muscles and tissues, aiding in recovery and strengthening the back.

Endoscopic Spine Surgeon: Early Signs of Cervical Spondylosis and When to See a Doctor
(Dr. Amit Shridhar, Internationally Trained Endoscopic Spine Surgeon, HOD, Dept. of Spine Surgeries & Rehabilitation, Sant Parmanand Hospital, New Delhi )
Cervical spondylosis is a common degenerative condition that affects the neck’s vertebrae and discs, often causing pain, stiffness, and discomfort. It becomes more prevalent with age, but understanding its early signs can help manage the condition effectively before it worsens. Consulting an endoscopic spine surgeon early on is crucial to prevent long-term complications.
Early Signs of Cervical Spondylosis
Recognizing the early signs of cervical spondylosis is essential for timely intervention. Here are the key symptoms:
Neck Pain and Stiffness
One of the earliest and most common symptoms is neck pain that often radiates to the shoulders. The stiffness may worsen in the morning or after prolonged periods of inactivity.
Headaches
Cervical spondylosis can cause headaches, especially at the back of the head, which may increase in frequency as the condition progresses.
Tingling or Numbness in the Arms
Nerve compression from the degeneration of discs or vertebrae can lead to tingling or numbness in the arms, fingers, or shoulders. This is a clear indicator that the condition may be affecting the nerves.
Muscle Weakness
Weakness in the arms or legs can also occur if nerve roots are compressed. This may affect your grip strength or ability to lift objects.
When to See an Endoscopic Spine Surgeon
If you experience any of the above symptoms, it's important to seek professional advice. Seeing an endoscopic spine surgeon early can help determine if non-surgical treatments, such as physical therapy or medication, are effective, or if a minimally invasive surgery like endoscopic spine surgery is needed.
For those with severe nerve compression or if conservative treatments don’t work, surgery may be recommended to relieve pressure on the spinal cord or nerves. Consulting the best spine doctor in Delhi NCR or the best endoscopic spine surgeon in Delhi can ensure you receive expert care.
Conclusion
Cervical spondylosis can cause significant discomfort if left untreated. Early signs such as neck pain, numbness, and headaches should not be ignored. An endoscopic spine surgeon can help you determine the best course of action, whether it’s conservative treatment or minimally invasive surgery, to relieve your symptoms and restore your quality of life.

Effective Cervical Spondylosis Treatment in Chennai: Expert Care for a Pain-Free Neck
For Emergencies: Call 9363 600 206 Make an Appointment Dr. Shriram Krishnamoorthy - Shri Bone & Joint Clinic, Chennai
Cervical spondylosis, also known as cervical osteoarthritis or degenerative disc disease, is a common condition that affects the cervical spine (the neck region). As individuals age, the wear and tear on the bones, discs, and joints in the neck can lead to this degenerative condition, causing discomfort, pain, and restricted movement. In this article, we will explore the symptoms, causes, treatment options, and benefits of seeking timely cervical spondylosis treatment in Chennai.
What is Cervical Spondylosis?
Cervical spondylosis refers to the age-related degeneration of the discs and joints in the neck, often caused by the gradual breakdown of the intervertebral discs, bone spurs (osteophytes), and other structural changes in the cervical spine. These changes may lead to compression of the spinal cord or nerves, causing symptoms such as neck pain, stiffness, and sometimes neurological issues.
While this condition is most common in individuals over 40, it can affect people at any age due to factors such as poor posture, repetitive neck movements, or past injuries. Cervical spondylosis is a common cause of neck pain, with symptoms often worsening over time if left untreated.
Symptoms of Cervical Spondylosis
The symptoms of cervical spondylosis can vary from mild to severe and may include:
Neck Pain: Persistent or intermittent pain in the neck, often exacerbated by movement or prolonged positions.
Stiffness: A feeling of tightness or reduced mobility in the neck area, especially after waking up or sitting in one position for too long.
Radiating Pain: Pain that spreads to the shoulders, arms, or hands, sometimes referred to as "radiculopathy."
Numbness and Tingling: A sensation of numbness or tingling in the arms, hands, or fingers due to nerve compression.
Headaches: Tension headaches, often originating from the back of the head, are a common symptom of cervical spondylosis.
Spinal Cord Compression: In severe cases, spinal cord compression can lead to balance issues, muscle weakness, and difficulty performing fine motor tasks.
Causes of Cervical Spondylosis
The main cause of cervical spondylosis is the natural aging process, as the intervertebral discs in the neck lose moisture and elasticity over time, leading to wear and tear. However, other factors may contribute to the condition, such as:
Genetics: A family history of cervical spondylosis may increase the likelihood of developing the condition.
Previous Injuries: Past neck injuries, such as whiplash or other trauma, can accelerate the degeneration of the cervical spine.
Poor Posture: Slouching, hunched posture, or improper ergonomics while sitting or working can stress the cervical spine.
Repetitive Strain: Jobs or activities that require repeated neck movements or prolonged sitting can increase the risk of developing cervical spondylosis.
Smoking: Smoking reduces blood flow to the spinal discs, making them more susceptible to degeneration.
Who Is at Risk for Cervical Spondylosis?
While cervical spondylosis can affect anyone, certain factors increase the risk of developing the condition:
Age: People over 40 are more likely to experience some degree of cervical degeneration.
Occupation: Individuals who work in professions that require heavy lifting, repetitive neck movements, or long hours in a seated position are at higher risk.
Sedentary Lifestyle: Lack of physical activity and poor posture can contribute to spinal degeneration.
Smoking: Smoking restricts blood flow to the neck and spine, increasing the risk of cervical spondylosis.
Cervical Spondylosis Treatment Options in Chennai
Cervical spondylosis treatment depends on the severity of the condition and the symptoms experienced. The goal of treatment is to manage pain, improve mobility, and prevent further degeneration. There are several treatment options available, ranging from conservative (non-surgical) to surgical approaches.
Non-Surgical Treatments
For mild to moderate cases of cervical spondylosis, non-surgical treatments are often the most effective and include:
Pain Relief Medications: Non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) or pain relievers can help reduce inflammation and provide relief from pain.
Physical Therapy: Physical therapy is one of the most common and effective treatments for cervical spondylosis. A skilled therapist can guide patients through exercises to improve strength, flexibility, and posture, reducing pain and stiffness.
Heat and Cold Therapy: Applying heat or cold to the neck can alleviate pain and inflammation.
Cervical Traction: Cervical traction involves gently stretching the neck to relieve pressure on the spine and nerves, providing pain relief.
Lifestyle Changes: Adjusting posture, ergonomics, and daily activities can help reduce strain on the cervical spine and prevent further damage.
Surgical Treatment
In more severe cases, where conservative treatments do not provide sufficient relief, surgery may be considered. Surgical options for cervical spondylosis include:
Anterior Cervical Discectomy and Fusion (ACDF): This procedure involves removing a damaged disc in the cervical spine and fusing the adjacent vertebrae to provide stability and alleviate nerve compression.
Cervical Disc Replacement: In some cases, a damaged disc is replaced with an artificial disc to preserve neck mobility.
Posterior Cervical Decompression: This surgery removes bone spurs or herniated discs to relieve pressure on the spinal cord or nerves.

Degenerative Conditions: Issues like cervical spondylosis, osteoarthritis of facet joints (small joints of spine), or herniated discs can lead to chronic neck pain.
Medical Conditions: Conditions like fibromyalgia, infections, or tumors can also be contributing factors.
Myofascial Pain: Neck muscles are highly innervated with nociceptors and they are a source of pain.
Pinched nerve: Small nerves in and around the neck muscles can get compressed leading to chronic nagging pain.
Spondyloarthritis: An inflammatory condition of spine can cause neck pain in young people which is typically worse at night or in the morning after waking up. This can cause stiffness as well.
Symptoms of neck pain include:

Knowledge of Spondylosis and Efficient Pune Treatment Options
Spondylosis is a degenerative spine condition causing chronic back and neck pain, stiffness, and reduced mobility. In Pune, specialized care is crucial for effective symptom management. Dr. Mandar Borde, a skilled spine specialist, provides advanced treatment options to help patients regain comfort and mobility.
What is Spondylosis?
Bone growths, decreased disc height, and joint degradation are all symptoms of spondylosis, which is the normal degeneration of the spinal discs, vertebrae, and facet joints. Although it usually happens as people age, things including heredity, bad posture, recurrent spine stress, and previous injuries can hasten its advancement.
Spondylosis can occur in different regions of the spine:
Cervical Spondylosis affects the neck area.
Thoracic Spondylosis impacts the mid-back.
Lumbar Spondylosis is most common, affecting the lower back.
Symptoms of Spondylosis
Symptoms of spondylosis vary depending on the affected area of the spine. Common signs include:
Chronic Pain: Persistent neck or back pain, often described as a dull ache.
Stiffness: Reduced flexibility and range of motion.
Muscle Weakness: Difficulty in performing daily activities.
Nerve Pain: Pain radiating to the arms or legs, numbness, tingling, or muscle weakness if nerve compression occurs.
When symptoms begin to interfere with daily activities, it’s essential to consult a specialist for an accurate diagnosis and effective treatment plan.
Complete Options for Treating Spondylosis
Dr. Mandar Borde provides a variety of tailored treatment options to help patients manage spondylosis symptoms and restore mobility. Here are some of the approaches used:
1. Physical Therapy
Physical therapy is a cornerstone of spondylosis treatment. Customized exercise programs can help improve flexibility, strengthen the muscles around the spine, and increase range of motion. This can significantly alleviate pain and reduce the risk of further degeneration.
2.Medication Management
To manage pain and inflammation, Dr. Borde may recommend medications, including:
Anti-inflammatory medications to reduce swelling.
Muscle relaxants for spasms.
Pain relievers for acute pain relief.
3.Lifestyle Modifications
Dr. Borde emphasizes the importance of lifestyle changes to prevent spondylosis progression. Ergonomic adjustments, proper posture, regular exercise, and maintaining a healthy weight can make a big difference in reducing stress on the spine.
4.Minimally Invasive Procedures
For cases that do not respond well to conservative treatments, minimally invasive procedures like epidural steroid injections can be used to relieve inflammation and alleviate pain.
5.Surgical Intervention
In advanced spondylosis cases where nerve compression or structural issues become severe, surgical options may be recommended. Dr. Borde’s expertise in minimally invasive spine surgery offers patients the latest techniques for effective relief with shorter recovery times.
Conclusion:
Understanding and addressing spondylosis is essential for effective management of chronic pain and mobility issues. Dr. Mandar Borde provides personalized treatment options in Pune, utilizing advanced techniques to enhance patients’ quality of life. If you or a loved one is affected by spondylosis, reach out to Dr. Borde for expert guidance on your path to improved spinal health. Book your consultation today!
