more benches and general places to sit because some people like me can't stand long without pain? . Is it really an accessible city if it only is "walkable" and caters to abled people? I don't think so. People seem to forget this fact when talking about the walkable cities talk I've noticed ..The disappearance of more and more benches to the point now to where there really are none (at least where I live unless its a park) is very disturbing.

shoutout to the queers with chest dysphoria who have bad posture or tight muscles or chronic back or neck pain from slouching to hide their chests. i've been slouching terribly since i was 13 and my posture is noticeably curved and i've had chronic back pain for the past 2 1/2 years because of it. and i'm not the only one who has these kinds of problems! love you all, remember to stretch, shrimp posture check, and go easy on yourself

As a spine surgeon, I enjoy caring for patients and performing surgeries when needed, and do my best to help people feel better and function well. Unfortunately, most people getting spine surgery today not only won’t be helped, they’ll suffer more as a result of complications from surgeries they shouldn’t have.

For example, let’s look at spinal fusion for low back pain. There is clear research showing that only about 25% of patients significantly benefit from a spine fusion for lower back pain. Another report from Washington State, where I practiced, showed that just 15% of people who had a spinal fusion returned to work one year after their operation.

Physicians today are trained to use evidence-based data to make treatment decisions – and yet, when it comes to low back pain, the data is routinely ignored. A 2009 study showed that physicians eschew established clinical guidelines for best practices in treating back pain. (Read more at link)

I’m so grateful I had doctors that did not lead me down the surgery route with my lower back pain. Especially after having necessary foot surgery that did fix a problem that had to be fixed, but still causes lingering pain today. I don’t need to make my back pain worse.

my back pain keeps flaring up at night and OH MY FUCKING GOD IT BURNS I can barely sleep anymore because of how bad it hurts. I REALLY don't want to overexaggerate but OMFG. And whenever my back pain flares up my hand pain flares up so typing this is a struggle in itself

I not get the logic some people say of "one day you will be old and in pain and you will think about how you treated disabled people then!" or something along those line..how about respect disabled people now because we are people , not "one day you'll be disabled too and-" no I'm a fucking human being so I deserve respect ..I shouldn't have to work , "contribute to society" etc so how about you start respecting us now?..I not understand why actual disabled people say this type of thing and like "you will be punished and become disabled too and then you'll understand!" nope..
