Hey I'm feeling bold and just had a pretty good slice of cake so I'm gonna go ahead and make a grand declarative statement.
If you are a beginning writer, any advice or expectation that evokes a sense of shame is incorrect and should be ignored. You might work more and grow more and realize the core of what that book or comment or online post said is true, but for now it's wrong. If the advice is phrased in a way that does not inspire you, if it feels like an obligation that makes the act of writing sound tiring, it does not apply to you and your work at this time.
That's all I love you maybe write a little bit today or take a nap.

It's time for Trilobite Tuesday! Trilobites were among the first animals to develop the ability to enroll for protection. With their thick calcite shells, an enrolled trilobite could present quite the daunting challenge for any predator seeking an easy meal. Scientists think trilobites first started using this defensive position some 520 million years ago, during the Lower Cambrian. By the time Dipleura (pictured) inhabited the primal seas during the Devonian, trilobites had long-since mastered this art of rolling up into spherical “balls.” This specimen, found in Pennsylvania, is nearly 3 in (7.6 cm) in diameter.

You can tell by the way some people criticize the Jedi as military leaders that they do not understand how war and the military works
“The Jedi invaded Umbara for wanting to leave!”
Umbara didn’t just “want to leave”, they were a republic world that switched sides mid-war, when an ally switches sides, you declare war on them, at a minimum this is to say “you can’t just do this and expect no consequences”, but its also simple strategy, you attack your former ally so that you can prevent whatever assets they have from being used by the enemy, but also so you can hopefully regain said assets (umbara has unique and advanced technology)
have people not played Risk?
“The Jedi invaded Geonosis again!”
the separatists retook Geonosis and reactivated/built factories there to produce war material (battle droids specifically), as long as these factories were active the war would be more difficult, the Republic invaded to shut down these factories down, its just good strategy
Related, "the Jedi attacked planets during the war"
Yeah, it's war, that's how it works, you can't fight a war exclusively on the defensive (especially not when the enemy has a manpower/production advantage), you have to go on the offensive so the enemy can't build up their strength to attack (and that doesn't even get into the humanitarian reasons to go on the offensive, the separatists are enslaving and murdering whole populations-WWII parallels anyone?-you can't help them if you only fight defensively
“The Jedi used the Clones as meat shields/cannon fodder!”
cannon fodder has a real definition, usually being poorly trained, poorly equipped soldiers sent out for no other purpose other than to soften up the enemy for the main assault
this is not at all how the Jedi treat/command the Clones
first the Clones are highly trained (10 years of it) and well equipped-probably the best out of any SW military
second, the Jedi fight on the front lines with the Clones, that is not something you do with cannon fodder
third, nothing the Jedi ask of the Clones is really that much more than what would be asked of a soldier in a real world military
I’m sure there are other examples but these are the biggies, please suggest more if you can think of any

Always wondered if there was a way to engage Full Wild Boy mode in my mild-mannered, antisocial, stoic, middle-aged cat-dog, and apparently the answer is red hibiscus and coconut melon pan.
Who knew??? Spice melange eyes and all.

Oh wait is it a toxic family when the father refuses to take accountability and instead blames the kids for his mistakes? And as a result the kids are unwillingly shoehorned into roles where one is the golden perfectionistic never allowed to criticise the family child, and the other is the black sheep difficult selfish disobedient child?
And the golden child is about to explode because he’s never allowed to have his own opinions and so when he feels real frustration at his father, he can’t land the blame there and so he’s conditioned to blame his sibling instead?
And the black sheep child just takes the criticism and the blame and learns to become overly defensive, because he’s learned no one will watch his back but himself, not even his sibling?
Oh wait it’s not a toxic family.
It’s Scuderia Ferrari

I know that Akutagawa has dog symbolism, with the connotations of him being canid coded—with connotations such as “rabid dog” and “lone wolf” and it’s supposed to contrast Atsushi’s cat coded symbolism but I really think, in my mind that Akutagawa is like. A sloth bear. He looks the part and he’s aggressive enough to be one too. My evidence of this is entirely based on the fact that
1.) they have generational beef with tigers. Since they share the same circles with other big cats they’ve evolved to be incredibly territorial and aggressive to the point where tigers generally. I wouldn’t say scared but they avoid attacking them most of the time. Something something about the aggressive-defensive strategy of making itself look like a bigger threat to make the enemy back off—I think it’s Akutagawa like, even though he is more bite than bark when it comes down to it. In the same way sloth bears are more aggressive to make up for not being strong or fast enough to fight off a tiger, Akutagawa is for more aggressive to make for what he lacks in strength and speed against Atsushi.
2.) sloth bears are incredibly hyper-aggressive with humans and attack unprovoked. Akutagawa Is also very aggressive and attacks (atsushi, mostly) unprovoked. A large part of it is most definetely due to his job but I think his general hostility to others and willingness to maim on sight when feeling threatened is very on par to the way I see Akutagawa, I think. I don’t know how to word it properly.
3.) they way the hair sticks out on a sloth bears face really reminds me of his bangs.
The sloth bear is like if god removed all the bulk and it skin and bones compared to other bears, but gave it every bit of aggression in the lord’s heavenly arsenal, and weapons (Rashoumon) to maul everything that startles it or vaguely threatens it.
Wake up girl new Akutagawa symbolism just dropped!!!!!!
