Your comics have a ton of charm, they aren't ugly at all! They make me smile; I'm not a huge participant in anything furry aside from drawing them on occasion, but my fursona has tentatively been a lynx for a while. The other day I drew a cute deer girl on the fly, sort of inspired by my partner, and she actually loved it so much she asked if she could have the character for her fursona, which delighted me. Our personalities are pretty different of course, but you've got a deer and lynx couple enjoying your comics. Thank you for sharing them.

When i said “i don’t like posting my comics like this” i was referred to the way its cut up into two separate images instead of being one long image the way i actually draw them, tumblr has never been nice to my comics upload quality and it only gets worse the longer the comics are lol

A BIG list of entirely free games therians and alterhumans can get !!! This isn't like an ad for them or anything, but when i was younger i never really had games that fit my theriotypes :( so why not start now!! this is in no real order.

These are all games where you play AS the animal, most of them being semirealistic? They're all free, so they aren't super realistic sorry!!! These are all also games i find on my tablet, so im not sure if they're available on pc!!

Wildcraft: As of today, Wildcraft updates every once and awhile, usually for the Wildpass thing they do almost weekly[? i took a large break from this game, forgive me if im misremembering.] Wildcraft was made by Turbo Rocket Games in early 2018. The multiplayer servers arent as active as they used to be, but it's still fun to play with friends sometimes!! I usually play in singleplayer though!! (Also, there is a settings option to make it first person, and one to hide the buttons!)

Playable Animals: Right now there are 12 land animals: Wolf [Default], Fox [Common], Lynx, Bear, Lion [Rares], Cheetah, Horse, Eagle, Crocodile, Tiger, Gorilla, and Kangaroo! [Ledgendaries], all of which are obtainable through the chests!! There are also 9 transformations [which are more difficult to get !!]: Raccoon, Deer, Hippo, Giraffe, Gazelle, Hyena, Rhino, Parrot, and Snake! There are also 5 Sea creatures: Dolphin [default], Stingray [Rare], Shark, Seal, and Sea turtle! You can have up to eight family members for every animal, who are also customizable! [not including transformations]

Customizability: There are TONS of skins and accessories for every animal, and you can adjust the size of their body parts, making your character entirely customizable! There are also LOTS of pets!

I give it a solid 10/10!! I've loved this game since it came out!! Me and my brother @whisperrdrrop [hii] played it like the year it came out!! I highly recommend playing this one ! >w< The community also has tons of fun creepypastas, and though the only real one is 'Niddhogg,' it's super fun to just learn about them!

Wolf Tales (Home & Heart (IT MIGHT BE 'WILD ANIMAL SIM' NOW IDK)): (The icon may have changed, my ipad doesn't update icons very much!!!) As of Today, Wolf Tales has basically stopped updating from what i can see. However this doesn't take away from the fun of it!! The game was created around 2020 by Foxie Ventures. Servers are multiplayer by default, but there is a singleplayer option!

Playable Animals: There are currently only 5 animals: Wolf, Fox, Bear, Wild/Big cat, and Dragon! All are unlocked by playing through the quests, though you can use moonstones (ingame 'rare' currency) to auto-buy most of them! Your families/packs are grown through opening chests and breeding!

Customizability: There are quite a few skins for every animal, ranging in rarity. you can obtain skins through buying the 'summoning' of the animal you'd like with moonstones and getting a random skin, or buying one directly. Skins are also not changeable! Let's say you're a grey wolf, and you get the sand wolf skin. You would have to enter your den and find that skin, and switch into that one, meaning it could have a different level! There are also LOTS of pets, though i do not remember how to get them. The only way to change your character is through changing limb sizes, there are no accessories!!

I give it a nice little 9/10, as much as i love this game i don't play it too often, but it really is fun! I think i got this game when it came out, and it was really fun watching the game and the community grow and change!! When i joined, not every player had a jump button, and there was this cool feature called 'Clans' (replaced by the player clans, sadly :() where there were 5 packs that you had to either defeat the alpha of or become besties with, and you'd get a packmate of any rarity from them daily!! My bestie pack was called 'the moonrise pack' and the #1 public enemy was 'The tooth pack' or something. I definitely recommend it :3!!

Ultimate Wolf/Fox/Forest/Savanna/Dinosaur/Cat/Shark/Bird/Jungle Simulator: they made a LOT of these games. These are only the ones that are free on my tablet, but im also seeing 'ocean,' 'dog,' 'arctic,' and 'lion' simulators for a dollar, you'd have to check and see if those are free. I'm mostly focusing on the WOLF simulator here, because i do NOT want to download all of those games. There is no multiplayer option for any of them. All made by gluten free games, no idea the release dates.

Playable Animals: The animals depend on which game you get. I know forest has bears, Savanna has cheetahs, Dinosaur has T-rex, triceratops, and ankylosaurus, bird has parrots and eagles, and jungle has tigers, but these are definitely not every animal !!

Customizability: you unlock a skin for every few levels, and you can tint them, but that's about it. For every game. There's like... 8-15 for most?

I give it a 7/10. As much as i do really, really love this game and all the memories playing it, it's really not the most entertaining game out there. If you're really bored and have nothing to do, sure, go wild with it!!

Dog Sim: I just got this game and it's so silly !! Made by Turbo Rocket Games in 2016, the multiplayer servers are surprisingly still decently active! Obviously it doesn't update anymore.

Playable Animals: The only animals in these are: (you guessed it) dogs. There's a single skin that... might? be a wolf, and there's two robo dog skins. There's a total of 38 skins!

Customizability: The only thing you can customize is your breed, sorry!

Other than that, theres a LOT to play with! With 5 bosses, 25 enemy/prey creatures, 1 map, 1 den, a max level of 200, a maximum family size of 4, 20 achievements, and 30 quests, there's plenty to do!

I give it a nice 8/10, the only points taken being because the game itself isnt the highest quality, and the models arent all 10/10, but it's still a really silly game! I do recommend it :)

Cat simulator - animal life: created in 2019 by Pocket Games entertainment, i think this one is pretty cute! With active multiplayer servers!!

Playable Animals: Just kitties! silly little kitties on big adventures!!

Customizability: Lots of cute skins and accessories!!!

There are tons of quests, camp upgrades, and more included in this!!

I didn't play this one for too long, but there are some pvp servers aswell. Overall really cute game, not too buggy/laggy! 10/10 :3

Wild Cougar Sim (3D): Another game made by Turbo Rocket games before their big success that was Wildcraft, Cougar Sim was created in 2015 (I think? I'm only finding the youtube trailer, dont be afraid to correct me.) I'm not seeing an option for multiplayer unfortunately :(!

Playable Animals: Yeah, It's just Cougars! What did you expect?

Customizability: With eight skins (Must be purchased with ingame currency), 9 coat marking options (Almost like tattoos!) including a Shark, Wolf, Lizard, Scorpion, Butterfly and Bird (Phoenix?), and options to change body/limb sizes, there's actually really good customization here!

With 3 unlockable family members, 30 quests, 20 achievements, 18 enemy/prey creatures, 4 biomes, and 8 dens, there is plenty to keep yourself busy with here! That accompanied by the fact that this isn't even a bad looking game, i honestly give it a nice 10/10! Very cute game, not much lag, pretty good in terms of realism, it's pretty cool!! :)

Dragon Sim Online: Yet another game made by Turbo Rocket in 2016, i quite like this one! With semi-active multiplayer servers!!

Playable Animals: Quite a few different types of Dragons, varying in element, colour, and breeds!

Customizability: With 4 elements, 46 (VERY pretty) skins, and limb/body adjustment sliders, you can customize your dragon pretty well!

Similar to both Cougar Sim and Dog Sim, Dragon Sim has plenty to offer: 30 quests, 20 achievements, 27 enemy/prey creatures, 3 bosses, 6 islands and 4[?] dens, there's plenty there to keep you busy! another 10/10 from me :)

The Outsiders- Now showing in warrior cats

I made him a dilute calico cause I wanted him to be different from everyone else and also as a subtle nod to him bleaching his hair, similar to Darry he has darker fur and smaller ears, similar to Soda he has cool tone eyes and a longer/fluffier tail(and even ear tufts)

Johnny- Lavenderblaze

Tuxedo, he’s lankier than everyone else and does have the scar from his attack, And I went with Lavender for the prefix since he’s not v intimidating and bro needs to relax, blaze as the suffix as a nod to his ill fate in the book.

Dally- Dandeliontuft

Longer fur, and resembles a lynx similar to the book. He’s bigger than most cats in the clan as well. I went with Dandelion as the prefix cause I’ve always wanted to use it and it’s more original than using lion as a prefix, his suffix is a play on the word ‘tuff’ since his ears have tufts.

Sodapop- Squirrelspirit

Not much to say here, Squirrel was used for his high energy and Spirit was used because of his empathy towards everyone. His description follows his book as they all do and gave him squirrel like motifs

Darry- Deerstrike

Does his design follow the book? Probably not but I wanted him to look different compared to his brothers. He’s often the outlier since Sodapop and Ponyboy are often described to be similar. He stockier with muscle and takes no shit, hence Strike as the suffix. Deer just sounded close to Darry so.

Steve- Rustclaw

Grey tabby. And yes I’m well aware that rust is orange but I thought oil/grease sounded stupid so Rust it was. Reason behind it is literally because Steve is good with cars, and claw because he’s always ready for a fight, itching for one at times. Does he also follow the book description? Probably not I modeled him more closely to Tom Cruise.

Two Bit- Turtleshine

Orange tabby. Following his book description of having read hair (sideburns) and also poking fun at the Mickey Mouse shirt he wears in the film, he has pants. No real reason behind the name thought Turtle was a cute name for Two but and shine because he’s a ball of sunshine always making everyone’s day with his jokes.

In the setting of "Vesna: dogs to watch out for" we know there are animal-people, but that difference is only in looks or also in biology ( as in a giraffe and a crocodile cant have children) ?

This is something I've not completely finalized in my head, so it might change a bit down the line, but my current thinking is that it's only possible for broadly similar species to have children- a lynx and a lion can, but a lynx and a wolf can't. Dogs and wolves can, dogs and deer can't. A red deer can create offspring with an elk or a roe deer, but not a badger, et cetera.

Other rules that might be notable:

-All animals exist as regular animals too

-Sex or marriage between species that can't reproduce is considered sodomy, and is illegal

-There are only mammal people- no birds or reptiles

-Distribution will broadly follow real world lines- no native hyenas or ibex in central europe, etc

-Any animal I don't like the design of won't show up as a person. Like horses

"Gods"

warrior cat redux/rewrite where one-eye, sol, starflower and moth flight/half-moon are gods. based heavily off of bonefall's tidbit with hollyleaf and sol's time-travel nonsense.

I like the idea of ancient cats being transformed becoming gods after death, essentially. Or even being ancient beings that just happen to possess a cat every few generations or so.

So here's what I'm thinking. before the mountain cats go to the forest, the forest cats already have an established religion of sorts, a polythesim religion. noticeable figures are;

The Wind/Storm/Sun God.

Masculine in nature, typically worshipped and acknowledged by the Gorge cats (Ancient Windclan.)

If he were to take a form it'd be a Lion, with a cloud mane.

His personality is often turbulent, and prayers are for soothing his rage.

The Rain/River/Lake Goddess.

Feminine in nature, and often depicted as hostile and revenge-based. a Ferocious goddess.

If she were to take a form it'd be Leopard, with a fish face and tail.

Typically prayed for, in droughts. She's also affiliated with medicine, healing and motherhood.

The Sky Deity.

A god specifically representing the soft pinks and blues of dawn and dusk, and mornings. The god is the child of the Sun God, and shares his rage and heat.

Relates to the passage of time, growth, and nobility. Also represents beauty.

Specifically, the Gorge and River cats also consider stars as part of the god. so this god would be the Sky/Star god.

The Night

Represents shadows and the unknown.

owls, corvids, beetles and spiders represent the Night. This particular god died out and no longer exists in modern clans.

The Lynx/Deer/Bear/Rabbit.

Represents the forest life, prey and general harmony and connection to the physical world. This God also doesn't exist in the modern clans.

However, the ANCIENT mountain cats have their one singular god, Half-Moon. Which is the ruler of ... the night. Their belief is that their dead all live on the moon, within the sky. Each star is a dead relative and Half-Moon is the cat that brings the dead up to her home, essentially a grim reaper sort. (Half-Moon was also a real cat that did perform the first funerary rite, which spiralled down to this god's eventual creation.) She is specifically affiliated with the Moon but when the Mountain cats join the Forest, the Forest cats are the ones to equate Half-Moon to a death deity.

ENOUGH YAPPING, Which god is what cat?

The Sun god Is One-Eye, like the bonefall rewrite. The Sun god Is One-Eye and One-Eye is the Sun god. One-Eye is a vessel and when the Sun god reveals himself to others he is in the form of One-Eye, they merge into one being after the physical death of One-Eye.

The Sky god is Star Flower, who is the biological daughter of One-Eye. Star Flower was a follower of the Sun God before the Sky god took her as a vessel. Same thing, once Star Flower died, she essentially became the Sky god.

The god, Night created Sol, an Eclipse god. And Harry (Sol, the cat.) was the first vessel that became a god. Before Harry/Sol the Eclipse god did not have a physical being, though it momentarily had a brush with MAPLESHADE. (Think 'boons' in Greek mythos.)

**The River Goddess also doesn't have a concrete vessel, though I like the idea of Mapleshade being the incarnation of her.**

Moth Flight is the most recent god, taking the form of the Nature god. Though a Nature god, Moth Flight is also a mix of sorts between the ancient Nature and Night god. Moths are nocturnal, yet nature-based. Moth Flight is the cat that 'creates' omens and prophecies, how they're delivered to the living is dubious. (Moth Flight could also just be a figurehead, a Joan of Ark if you will.)

AS OF MODERN CLAN LIFE.

These polythenic gods are often forgotten, One-Eye and Star Flower are just folklore, same with the Eclipse god. River goddess has transformed to just a Mapleshade figure, a sopping wet monster that drags cats to drown. Even Half-Moon has transformed into just 'Starclan' In fact, modern clan cats confuse Half-Moon with Moth Flight. Some cats still thank Starclan for their prey (remnants of the Nature God) and Windclanners still sing and yell to ward off storms (remnants of the Sun/Storm god.)

okay so i've been thinking more about my version of monster falls (eyetrees edition?? i don't know. what do i call it), here's some thoughts

just going over the creatures again real quick- ford is a gryphon-taur, a mix of a barn owl and a lynx. stan is a bat-shark mix, water bat and whale shark, not a -taur. mabel is a siren, as in like. actual sirens. she's a bird person. specifically a sparrow. dipper is a work in progress, let's talk about that

i'd like to keep the deer theming cause. of course. i like the idea of having matching sets, so to speak, so. is he a -taur or nah? cause ford and mabel already fulfill that, but also stan, ford, and mabel all have wings. and dipper doesn't. so do we match them in sets of two or three? unsure. i also want to throw a dipper (as in the bird) into his design, but i want him to match more with stan than ford. maybe we throw away the deer entirely and keep him as a dipper? or maybe a bipedal bird-person focus with deer elements? we're still figuring it out (although that last one is tempting to make official)

anyway here's some other fun details about their designs-

ford - used to have a long tail, but it was. ah. docked. his eyes are fully black like a barn owl. has six talons instead of fingers. prefers to eat small crunchy things due to the somewhat odd structuring of his mouth. small sharp teeth. sideburns are fur, not hair. wings are large but struggle to get him off the ground, used more for defense and shelter than anything.

stan - has a shark tail, bat wings that can't fly but can glide. has fins that he hates. multiple rows of serrated teeth, which he also hates (freaks out a little every time one falls out. it's a nightmare for him). ford brought up that whale sharks don't have teeth like that, and neither do bats, once. backtracked faster than ever before when stan reacted negatively to that information. stan's diet should be more similar to ford's, but he refuses. has patterns similar whale shark patterns all over them.

mabel - now here's something interesting we're considering- she has small wings on her lower bird half. are her arms also wings or are they still humanoid? are they a mix, feathered wings with a small palm and talons? leaning more towards that last one- it's fun to imagine how she would alter her sweaters to work around that! can't swim anymore, alas. likes the texture of her feathers.

Genshin Impact AU where every person who gets a vision, also gets a creature that is the physical manifestation of a human soul. It doesn't have to be a real animal and the characters don't have to have their creature right beside them, but because people are afraid someone would harm them, they usually keep them right beside them.

If someone harms the soul the person feels immense pain, and if the soul animal dies the person is as good as dead.

Most of the animals are self explanatory by the constellation they have, some are more due to the different cultures and superstitions the country which each of Genshin regions are based on.

Albedo has a Pallas Cat. This because Albedo lives in dragonspine where the cold climate resembles the climate of the pallas cat. Also, I wanted to make some slight allusion that his familiar and Kaeya are from around the same region, of our world, and both are neighbors in the areas where they had been found.

Bennett worries about his little White Hare. In german folklore there is a superstition that encountering a hare running across your path while on a journey could bring bad luck or delay.

Barbara has a tiny white Orgelmaus (organ mouse) refers to a whimsical tradition in German organ building to carve small mouse figures into the wooden parts of pipe organs. These mice are believed to symbolize both the mouse's association with the organ's environment and the organ builder's attention to detail. They are often seen as playful, charming creatures in the context of religious music and architecture.

Eula has a Swan because of Elegance or a barn owl because the name is Eule in German

Mona - Bat mostly because the association of being out at night, but a cat can also work because of the star reference

Venti - Dove. Representing freedome and also from the "thousand winds" mention, sounds like "a thousand doves" Doves are commonly associated with peace, purity, and freedom, so the phrase "a thousand doves" could evoke a powerful image of abundance, tranquility, and hope.

That's the basic setting I am thinking of for Mondstad characters. What makes this animal representation so unique is that the animals are attuned with their person emotions and thoughts so they would act accordingly.

Whenever Diluc is out being the Darknight hero his owl is keeping an eye on the city, guiding him to the problems that are raising in it.

Whenever Razor is feeling particularly lonely, his wolf would howl.

Diona's cat would hiss to anyone who she sees too inebriated.

Kaeya's peacock will open his tail whenever he is trying to impress someone.

moonglade/moonscales:

moonglade is the largest of a chain of islands called the moonscales. this is where the members of house silversea reside and would be considered their 'seat'.

the climate is compariable to countries located in the mediterranean. pre-climate change, of course.

moonglade palace, house silversea's main residence, is quite large and is located at the northern most tip of the island. the architecture is reminiscent of the greco-roman in style in real life, featuring arches, columns and domes.

a curious feature (at least to outsiders unaware of their true nature), are the stairs that lead directly into the water.

The throne room of Moonglade Keep is truly remarkable in terms of design and architecture. A large circle portion of the floor is made of glass that can see through to the waters below, sort of like a wild aquarium. It can be opened to allow merlings from their undersea kingdom in whenever they hold court.

underneath moonglade is a network of caves and caverns. there is a "stables" found within that houses hippocamps.

do humans live there? yes. but the humans who live there are beholden to the silversea's in one way or another and are sworn to secrecy, lest a terrible fate befalls them. there are other merfolk populating the area as well.

btw toni anji's phose if he gets one WILL be a blakiston's fish owl. like, no debate. if he does get one it will 100% be a blakiston's fish owl and i will be dying on this hill. this is for the same reason i believe yuusaku WILL be a reindeer if he gets one

• sugimoto got a bear for multiple reasons. he's the main character, bears are basically the mascot of the series, he is literally compared with a bear when he survives getting shot in the head

• asirpa has retar, and wolves are an important part of her story

• shiraishi gets bit on the head by a tanuki - a little bit of a stretch but he also suits it

• koito vs the wolverine

• tsukishima isn't really shown with any animals, but he is a loyal attack dog

• ogata is blatantly and constantly compared to cats and the eurasian lynx. this is the one i have to explain the LEAST

• tsurumi's phose is directly modeled after edogai's cat, which i think is the only time we see him interact with an animal

• tanigaki's phose is based on ryu. interestingly, ryu is a hokkaido dog and not an akita, though maybe his phose *is* an akita

• kiroranke is a tiger. yulbars. self explanitory

• hijikata is the biggest stretch, but i think it's because he's alive when he shouldn't be, much like retar. both are part of a bygone era

• kadokura is literally called a tanuki once. self explanitory

• vasily's phose is based on that bird he was drawing

• usami... yeah.

• boutarou's phose is based on those sturgeon we see at around the same time he's introduced

anyways, a very VERY common theme is that they're all based on animals we see them interact with or be compared to. through this we can definately guess what multiple characters would be. because the hot spring bandits arc is foreshadowed by sugimoto shooting a blakiston's fish owl through the eye, and tonji anji's design is intentionally owl-like, his phose is definately going to be a fish owl

henmi would either be a boar or a killer whale, though i find the latter most likely. inkarmat would be a fox. edogai would be a polar bear. wilk has never gotten merch so we don't count him but he would be a wolf as well. kirawus would be a deer. i think ushiyama is compared to a bull so he'd be a bull (i badly need to reread the manga). and those are the only ones i can think of right now. wait no miyazawa stag beetle phose??? real shit????

Dinogad's Coat

I committed poetry. Sort of. 😅

I was mucking about, trying to come up with a version of the Old Welsh lullaby Peis Dinogat (Dinogad's Smock) that actually sounded like a lullaby. (Note: it's not a real translation. I have no knowledge of Welsh, of any age, I was just working from the literal translation. I've also done a wee bit of chopping and changing. We'll call it an adaptation, shall we?)

Dinogad has a speckled coat, Soft with marten’s fur and stoat. Whist! Whist! Whistle along While Mama's eight slaves make the song. When your Da went out to hunt the land, Spear on shoulder, club in hand, He’d bring his dogs upon the path - “Here, boy! Fetch, boy! Giff and Gaff!” From his boat he’d catch fish on his spear, Swift as lion springs on a deer. High on the fells he’d try his luck: Proud stag, wild boar, lynx and buck. A speckled grouse he’d bag and win Or troutie from the Derwent linn. Wherever your Daddy cast his spear, Only the birdies ever flew clear.

If you're not already familiar with this song, it's copied into the Book of Aneirin alongside the Old Welsh heroic poem Y Gododdin. Linguistic and geographical details suggest it's from the seventh century, probably from northern Britain - ie. the same sort of context as Y Gododdin itself. Its inclusion has often been considered a simple scribal error, though others have suggested that its elegiac quality makes it an apt accompaniment to the heroic elegies to the fallen warriors of Aneirin's verses. There is a definite poignancy to it: the hunting exploits of Dinogad's father are all in the past tense, which leaves the impression that he's no longer around. I always have the image of Dinogad's mother looking at her baby, wrapped in his marten-skin smock, and remembering her husband when he went out on the hunting-trail. We can imagine that he brought home the marten-skin himself as a gift for his baby boy. Maybe it's one of the last things they still have left of him.

There's maybe another parallel, too: the reference to the "eight slaves", as well as the fine marten skin itself, suggest that Dinogad comes from a family of some status. In a way, then, it's almost a more domestic version of Aneirin's gold-torqued, bright-mailed warriors. Going from Y Gododdin to Peis Dinogat, we're reminded for every man who fell on the battlefield at Catraeth, there must also have been a bereft family left behind. Maybe that was the scribe's intention in putting the two together in the first place.
