*slides $100 in a monopoly money over*
You got any sub!crosshair and Dom!reader smut in the back?
We Could Be More pt II
Summary: Recently defected from the Empire, you and Crosshair struggle to make ends meet while you cross the galaxy looking for a safe place to call home. At least you have each other.
Pairing: TBB Crosshair x F!Reader
Word Count: 1766
Warnings: Smut, oral M!receiving, Dom/Sub dynamics, reader is a gentle dom, Crosshair swears when getting laid
Tagging: @trixie2023 @n0vqni
A/N: *accepts the money and slides this fic across the table* So, I decided to make this request a sequel to We Could Be More, since it seems to fit. I hope you like it! So this story (which is probably going to have a third part) is basically Crosshair and Reader falling in love and finding their happy ending. Why do I keep doing this to myself with Crosshair?
Tumblr media
“I can’t believe you managed to talk that hack into buying the tie fighter,” You say as you offer Crosshair half of the sandwich you bought from a nearby stand.
“I didn’t sell it,” Crosshair counters, taking the sandwich gratefully, “I traded it for a better ship.”
“Better how?” You ask, as you take a sip of your grape drink.
“Well it comes with a droid-”
You release a happy gasp.
“-a protocol droid.” Crosshair continues, a small grin crossing his face as you wilt, “It’s the ship's pilot. It also has a proper kitchen and a bedroom.”
“Oh thank kriff,” You mutter under your breath.
“What, you didn’t like sleeping in the chairs?”
You scrunch up your nose at him, “Not in the slightest.” You finish your  half of the sandwich, “I suppose we need to buy food now?”
“Already taken care of. That guy was way too happy to get his hands on a TIE fighter.”
“Mm, probably part of the rebellion.” You muse thoughtfully.
“Not our problem.” Crosshair warns, “We’re not getting involved.”
“Yeah, yeah. I know.” You toss your trash into a nearby can, and fold your arms over your stomach, “So, how are we going to afford to keep this ship?”
“Bounty Hunting.”
“Cross.”
“I know, I know. But it’s what I’m good at. And at least this way I get to pick my targets.” He points out. Crosshair quickly finishes his sandwich and tosses his trash as well, “In any event, it’s time for us to get off this planet and move on.”
“Where to?”
“Salesman said Takodana. He said that we can get help there.”
“Help?”
“That’s what he said. I figure it won’t hurt to check it out.”
“Your call.” You shrug, “If you think it’s safe then it probably is.”
He smirks at you, before he kisses the tip of your nose, “You’re too trusting.”
“It’s you, Cross.” You counter with a roll of your eyes.
“Mm.” He glances at you, a sly smile on his lips, “I don’t suppose you want to spend one more night in the hotel? For a repeat of last night?”
“Maker, don’t you have an off switch?”
“Yeah, it’s located in my dick, you have to suck really hard-” You punch him in the shoulder and he laughs.
“You’re a pig.”
“You weren’t saying that last night.” He says smugly.
“I…don’t recall.”
“So my dick was so good that you have no memory of it. Sounds like you need a repeat.” Crosshair muses as he drapes his arm over your shoulder and directs you towards the port where the new ship is waiting.
“Sounds like wishful thinking on your part.”
“Ooh, I’m hurt.” His grip tightens around your shoulder.
“Cross-” You murmur, your gaze flickering to the Stormtroopers harassing a shopkeeper further down the street.
“I see them. Keep walking. They haven’t noticed us.”
“...so much for a repeat at the hotel,” You quip with a small smile as you lean against him.
“Eh, we have our own bed now.” Crosshair replies, he keeps the stormtroopers in his sights right up until you climb the ramp onto the new ship, and only then does he start to relax.
He heads into the cockpit to give directions to the droid, while you poke through the rest of the ship. The kitchen is fully stocked, and the bedroom is clean and the bed even has fresh linens on them. More surprisingly, the closet is full of clothes. Actual, properly fitting, clothes.
“Surprise.”
You blink at him, “What’s all this?”
“The Fighter was worth a lot more than this ship. So with the extra I got all of this.”
“...how do you know what size bra I wear?”
“I spend a lot of time staring at your tits, kitten.”
You grin at him, “Honestly, it’s almost like you’re only using me for my body or something.”
“Eh, the rest of you isn’t terrible. But I really like your tits. And your ass.” Crosshair tilts his head to look at you, “That bother you?”
“Nope. I do have an amazing chest after all.”
“Alright, little miss modest,” Crosshair says, sounding deeply amused, “We’re taking off in the next fifteen.”
You hum a response as you pick through the clothes to see what he picked out for you.
“Does it all meet your approval?” He asks sarcastically.
“It does! Well done.” You pause when Crosshair inhales sharply, and you turn your speculative gaze towards him.
“Right, well…I’m going to go make sure the clanker doesn’t kark up our departure-”
You cross the room and lightly pinch the material of his shirt between two fingers, and Crosshair doesn’t pull away from you. “Cross,” Your voice is light, and he seems to curl in around you, “I want you to take this off, please.”
“...and why should I do that, kitten?” Crosshair asks, his voice low and raspy.
Your smile is small and peaceful, “Because I asked you nicely.”
He leans in slightly, “Maybe don’t ask so nice next time?”
Your eyes glitter with mirth, “Cross, take it off.”
“Why?”
“Because good soldiers follow orders,” You tease, “And you are a good soldier, aren’t you?”
Crosshair groans, “That shouldn’t be half as hot as it is.”
He steps further into the room and allows the door to slam shut behind him, before he peels his shirt off and tosses it to the side. You smooth your hands across his chest, lightly tracing the scars and tattoos that cover his skin. “Lay down please?”
It’s a soft request. Gentle. Just like everything else about you, but you have a feeling that Crosshair will treat it as an order.
And you’re right.
Crosshair settles himself in the middle of the bed, with his head resting on the pillows. His dark gaze trails over your body, and he tucks his arms under his head. “What’s the plan, kitten?” He asks.
“I’m going to taste you,” You reply immediately, “And then I’ll go from there.” You settle yourself on the bed next to him, and slowly unfasten his pants, giving him the chance to refuse you.
“You gonna take any of your clothes off?” He asks, as you lower his pants enough that his half hard cock bounces free.
“Hm…maybe. If you’re good.”
Crosshair watches you with half lidded eyes, “You don’t have to be so gentle, kitten. You’re not going to break me.”
You duck your head, a small smile on your lips, “I like being gentle with you, Cross.” You drag a single finger down the side of his cock, hard now that you’re touching him. “You deserve a little gentle.” And then you wrap your hand around him fully and give him a lazy stroke.
“Kriff-” His hips twitch at your touch.
Gently, very gently, you press your free hand against his hip, “Lie still, Cross.” He releases a second curse but stills his hips. You favor him with a warm smile, “Good boy, you follow orders so well.”
His head falls back with a low groan, and you can see the muscle flexing in his arms, “Motherkarking…-how are you so good at this?” He demands.
You just smile at him, “Would you like me to stop?”
“No I do not want you to karking stop you-” He trails off when you slowly raise your eyebrows, “I’m not going to beg you, kitten.”
“I would never ask you to,” You continue to languidly pump your hand, “I just want you to feel good.”
He releases a shaky breath, “I assume there’s more to this than just ‘lie still’.”
“You don’t get to touch me until after I’ve made you cum. That’s the only other condition.”
“At all?”
“At all.”
He flashes a cocky smirk, “Easy.”
“Well, we’ll see won’t we?”
With that said, you turn your gaze back to his leaking cock. He’s long and thick, though you’re not sure how he’d compare to other men. Honestly, you don’t much care, because he’s perfect for you.
You lower your head and lightly lick the precum from the head of his cock. His groan sounds like music to your ears, and you decide that you want to hear as many noises as he can make.
You wrap your lips around him and slowly start bobbing your head.
There’s no need to rush, after all. Plus, you’re still new at this.
He’s warm and heavy in your mouth, with a taste that you’ve come to associate with Crosshair over the last couple of days. Slowly you ease more and more of him into your mouth, using your hands to massage the part that you can’t quite take yet.
Above you he’s groaning, and alternating curses and praises.
You can feel the muscles of his thighs flexing under you, and you’re touched. Crosshair is so much stronger than you, the fact that he’s willingly going along with this is…incredibly empowering.
And incredibly arousing.
You pull back slightly when Crosshair groans your name, though you keep him in your mouth as you work him over with your hands.
He groans low in the back of his throat as you push him over the edge. You make sure to swallow every drop, and you don’t pull away from him until he’s spent.
“How was that?” you ask, a little shyly.
Crosshair drops his arms from under his head as he starts to catch his breath, “Incredibly, incredibly hot.” He finally says.
You smile slightly proud, “You didn’t mind?”
“If I did, it wouldn’t have gotten as far as it did, kitten.” He shifts and kicks his pants off the bed, and then turns his gaze towards you, “Come here.”
You slide up the bed so that you’re closer, and then you squeak when he quickly tugs you across his chest, his lips crashing against yours. He quickly tugs your clothes off and tosses them to the side, before immediately sliding one of his hands down to massage your ass, pulling a startled squeak from your lips.
“Kitten,” He murmurs as he breaks the kiss, “I want you to sit on my face-”
Your face flames with flustered embarrassment, and Crosshair smirks.
“And then I’m going to fuck you into the mattress.”
You pull away to press your flaming face against his chest.
“And after that, I’m going to show you how to be a proper Dom, Princess.” He coos in your ear, “Your way is very hot, I want to show you my way.”
You peek up at him, a small smile on your lips, “Okay.”
His smirk grows into a grin, “Good girl.”

I've been thinking about AGGGTM ships again. This series isn't meant to be ship heavy (as it should be, because I barely survived the shipping madness from HSMTMTS) but I love writing about both the canon + non-canon couples. So I've decided to talk about ships I've seen for AGGGTM in this post because I have uni assigments due and I wanna procrastinate.
Disclaimer: These are just ships I've seen on Instagram or Twitter. My opinion is my opinion and if you don't like it, then just move on. This is only gonna be non-canon pairings so don't expect PipRavi or JamieNat here (because I ship those and this is only about non-canon pairings).
Pippa Fitz-Amobi/Connor Reynolds: eh... I can kind of see it. I see it in the sense of them being childhood crushes that fade in a week. Connor did canonically have a crush on Pip in book 1 that faded after book 1 (it wasn't mentioned again). They wouldn't have anything long-term as they're better off friends.
Jamie Reynolds/Stanley Forbes: This ship has four fics on AO3 and I've actually enjoyed them. I'm personally more of a JamieNat shipper but this one is pretty cute. I see it as Stanley being Jamie's bi awakening (I hc Jamie as being bi). They'd be cute if you know... Stanley didn't die.
Ant Lowe/Connor Reynolds: UH NO FUCKING WAY. Even if we're going based off book 1, they'd still be awful because of how Ant acted in the series. He was so disrespectful towards Connor when he pulled that prank in Kill Joy, knowing that they were running on limited time. He's also so nasty towards Connor in Good Girl, Bad Blood when Jamie went missing. I can't even imagine these two working out in an alternate timeline because I fucking despise Ant Lowe. Fuck Ant Lowe I hope Jamie beat his ass when he found out about how he treated Pip and Connor during his disappearance.
Cara Ward/Lauren Gibson: I really like this ship! I'm still not Lauren's biggest fan (she reminds me of a former friend), but I think the show might change that since Ant's not there. Asha and Yali have lovely chemistry from what we've seen in their posts. I also feel like Lauren having a sapphic arc would be better than that Ant/Lauren nonsense. Seriously, wtf was that???
Zach Chen/Connor Reynolds: YES YES YES YES. If you follow me, then you know how much I love this ship (I created their AO3 tag btw). They would be so cute together! I kinda feel like Connor had a little crush on Zach in the book (he was acting pretty secretive about where he was after the memorial in ggbb. Like dude, nobody cares if you were playing Fortnite with Zach. Is there something else you're not telling us???). I would love for them to make them canon in the show (especially since Zach is there... and why would you add him but cut Ant?), but it's unlikely.
Pippa Fitz-Amobi/Max Hastings: EWWW DISGUSTING. IF YOU FUCKING SHIP THIS GET THE FUCK AWAY FROM ME YOU WEIRDO 🤮 (Yes, this is a real ship I've seen when looking through the ship tags on ao3 😭).
That's all I can think of. Some of these were fine... except Ant/Connor and Pip/Max. Anyways bye! - Em <333

magazine matchups
vil x reader
you and vil were supposed to just be colleagues, but as your work kept pushing you closer and closer together, you couldn’t help but fall for one another.
a/n: this is another repost of a previously deleted fic I posted. also can’t believe i ever deleted this, this is like the funniest thing I’ve ever written (imho)
—————————————
His absence was something you barely noticed, just as his presence. You weren’t oblivious to it, however. It started out as a coincidence, the two of you ended up modelling for a few projects together, which had the internet going wild. Soon enough, it turned into free advertising, and your managers were intentionally pulling the strings so that you’d be working together. If anything, the nonsensical rumours that came out of it were kind of annoying - other than that, you had no strong opinion about working with him, or his personality.
He wasn’t exactly a constant in your life either, that’s why you almost didn’t notice his unannounced break from the public eye. You remembered him after seeing a now slightly old article about the SDC, ah that’s right, he’d taken a break from almost all of his work to focus on the competition, which had ended a couple of months ago. Despite this, you can’t recall him coming back to the limelight since.
Might as well check his magicam page, you thought. He still posted there, would it be weird to follow him out of nowhere? Eh, who cares- you did it anyways, and then went to bed.
As always, it felt like the sun rose far too early to wake you from your slumber. Your alarm hasn’t gone off yet, or you hoped it hadn’t at least. You checked the time, and you were fine, you didn’t oversleep.
In the meantime you should probably check the texts you got from Neige, your certified best friend who doesn’t usually text you at six in the morning.
“Hey, Y/N! You’re trending on magicam, so is you and Vil’s ship-name, did you know?”
Um, what? That was… strange? Honestly, you really wanted to see what was going on, but you’d be late for school if you let social media get a grip on you right now.
Break time. It felt pretty exciting to hear the bell ring this time around, since you’d been itching to find out what had you on the trending page, it’s not like you did anything either spectacular or offensive recently.
Damn, Neige really wasn’t lying, then again, you couldn’t recall any time he ever has. Your expression died down comically quick, as you kept scrolling through the tagged posts. Your fans were literally insane sometimes, to the point were maybe following someone new on your public account was a bit of a mistake. Basically all of your conjoined fandom was trying to theorise over Vil being added to the list of people you follow, which was otherwise only Neige and your manager. Really, it was a slight disappointment, but it was also kind of funny, at least the internet didn’t decide it was time for a dose of unjust cancel culture just yet.
A few days later, after school had let up, you went to hang out with Neige in town. It was a tradition between you two, a way to keep in contact despite your busy schedules. The two of you often cycled round different attractions or areas in the city, sometimes just opting to walk around and talk. This time, you were headed to the local museum. It was interesting to read about all the history loaded behind what seemed like a simple piece of pottery, or learn about how certain things were used to supplement both the lack of technology and magic of the older world.
It was mostly things you’d seen here before though, but you’d never paid much mind to the modern art section, you realised after thinking about it. “Hey Neige, should we go look over there? Who knows, they might have your portrait framed or something.”
Your joke was received with a light laugh and, “Sure, let’s go take a look!”
This section of the museum felt a lot smaller, but there were even less people willing to marvel at the paintings that adorned the walls. Coincidentally, the one other person that was there happened to be someone both you and Neige recognised. You wondered if he visited the place a lot, people don’t tend to look so blank whilst visiting a museum by themselves.
Neige turned to you, excited to ask if it’d to be alright to approach him. That’s right, you’d somewhat forgotten that those two knew each-other. “Yeah sure, I don’t mind.” As soon as the sound of his name filled the room, his head turned, and his expression looked mildly annoyed. Did he look like that before? God, you’d have to hope the two of you weren’t upsetting him. Your friend however, didn’t appear to notice anything out of the ordinary as he continued to make small talk.
Gradually, said small talk came to close, and Neige had invited him to spend more time with the two of you, though Vil politely declined. He was rather curt, but he didn’t seem like a bad person, if anything your opinion hadn’t changed since you first worked with him.
Before waving goodbye, you rushed to scribble your phone number down on a crumpled piece of paper to give to him. Momentarily, you pondered wether that was a good decision to make, as he almost stayed silent, but soon put on a smile and thanked you. It was an awkward first meet.
Vil turned away after the two of you had left, it was due time to head back to his dorm, despite his visit to the museum serving a different purpose than intended. For Vil, he had hoped to come about some inspiration in preparation for returning to his work but meeting Neige was a frustration in its own right, considering how a large part of his break was dedicated to self improvement after realising his envy was severely holding him back.
Regardless of his efforts, it was disappointing to see Neige thrive under the same conditions as him and yet thwart all the hardships that Vil faced. Whilst his perfection was his pride it robbed him of approachability.
You however, offered him your number despite how out-of-reach he often is to people through your slight uncomfortableness. He thought it was folly of you, but it was a rare boldness that wasn’t unbeffiting of you - having only experienced similar things from Rook, who sometimes took it to an extreme.
Maybe it came from you also being in the industry, but he found himself thinking fondly of it. When Vil arrived at pomefiore once again, he decided to follow you back on magicam, not unaware of you doing so a few days back, although he made no effort to add your contact to his phone. You were still asleep by morning, enjoying the extra time the weekend was granting you. When you did wake up, you checked your phone, a part of your usual morning routine. ‘Oh, he doesn’t hate me’ was what came to mind after seeing that Vil had followed you back.
Not having any plans today you thought to message him on the app, curious as to wether he’d reply. “Hey, how are you doing? Hope we didn’t bother you yesterday.”
After sending that short message you looked through your feed for a bit. Reasonably soon you got an awfully formal response back. Apparently he didn’t mind your presence the other day, which was nice to know. Now however, you were in a position of not knowing wether or not to continue the conversation or what to say. Reaching out to someone over something so minuscule without making an attempt at getting closer with them proved kind of useless, so the two of you briefly discussed your musings about school and work before cutting the conversation.
That was the last time either of you had talked to one another until the two of you inevitably crossed paths again, outside of the internet. This time, the two of you met at a more understandable place, a model’s holy grail, the skincare section.
Another thing to note was that this time, he was not unaccompanied, unlike you. His purple-haired friend was actually who drew your attention away from the ingredient list on the bottle you were looking at. Being a bit louder than intended, he was complaining about this excursion being a waste of time and effort. When you did turn around, you saw Vil glaring daggers into the poor boys soul. Maybe they weren’t friends as you’d initially thought?
Ignoring it would’ve been your best bet but as you heard Vil sigh and mutter something along the lines of ‘I thought we were past this’ you realised he was dragging himself and his possible-friend in your direction. The two of them started looking at the labels of product after product, after Vil had scanned the shelf for a short while. Vil looked quite nonchalant while doing so, but his friend seemed awfully confused when absentmindedly staring at the product. Considering you knew one of them, you thought it might be good to offer up some advice, and recommend a couple brands.
Vil was actually quite thankful for your help, due to him only using products that he’s created himself, he was only aware of what was currently popular rather than beneficial. And this wouldn’t have been the best way to teach Epel how to pick out certain products without any good examples. He thanked you, and invited you to hang out over coffee some time as a thank you.
It was perhaps a little overboard, but neither of you really minded, considering how it was starting to seem that you could become decent friends. And that was how you ended up here, finally settled in to a popular cafe, that at first proved to be a bit of a poor choice, specifically due to its popularity.
When the two of you met up, the people already around the place started to form a crowd around you. It was reasonable, after all people don’t see celebrities everyday, and whilst you were used to it, it could prove to be rather bothersome. Of course, both of you handled the situation well, but there was something so enchanting about how graceful he was with each and every person who approached him, and how he was able to express his appreciation all the while making sure his air of perfectionism never slipped.
When you eventually got a moment of quiet together, you made sure to learn a lot about each other. He wouldn’t say it out-right, but you could surmise that the purple-haired boy from before and a huntsman named Rook were his set of friends. It sounded like an interesting group, but cute nonetheless. You also figured out that a lot of his personal life revolves around his work, or maybe it would be better to say that they happened to coincide.Despite that, he still seemed less daunting now that you’d got to know him a little.
Naturally, you two hung out a lot more after that, and it was fun as you got more comfortable. You even got to do things like convincing him to pose for you to draw him because, “come one, it’ll be extra practice!” He didn’t look amused at all, but he still let you.
Sketching Vil was enjoyable, but he wouldn’t let you notice how he got increasingly anxious as time passed. Vil normally had no reason to feel anxious around anyone, he usually felt confident in himself, but the issue was that his confidence was surprisingly conditional.
It was strange though, the only person to ever make him feel insecure before was Neige, yet you didn’t make him feel threatened. He could only come to one conclusion as to why he was becoming increasingly sensitive to your opinion on him, and being as self aware as he is, the answer didn’t come as a shock to him. But acknowledging that he was in love was a scary revelation to make.
As you finished up your drawings and showed them to him whilst raving about how pretty he was, he calmed down. His appearance was the main factor in his confidence, and reminding himself that he would always have power in that regard soothed his anxiousness, but what really relieved him this time around was the fact that you weren’t judging him.
The next time you were on-set participating in a photo-shoot together, you’d known beforehand. You were both affiliated with the same company, and had managed to put two and two together when discussing your work schedule.
Things felt a lot more light-hearted than all of the other times you’d worked together. Seeing him there as you’d entered the room put a smile on your face.
As you’d taken your last shot together, and everything was getting cleared up, you went to take your arm of Vil’s shoulder, but as you were doing so, he grabbed your hand. You could feel him tense up, and the walls started to feel slightly closer than before. “What’s wrong?” You couldn’t help but be worried. You saw him take a second to compose himself, before he leaned closer to you and whispered a short confession in your ear, “I’ve happened to find myself loving you… Would you be mine?”
That was… unexpected.
But when you said yes, Vil found himself experiencing a joy he hadn’t felt in a long time, and enveloped you in a gentle, heartfelt hug. The two of you stayed there for quite some time, ignoring everyone else around you because they didn’t matter.

Writer Interview Game
Thank you, @gingerlegacy07 for the tag! Y'all should check her out! She's amazing and a great writer :]
When did you start writing?
Hm, I think I started writing ever since I was 9. It was at first just a little children's book. I've always liked drawing and writing, and coming up with crazy things, lol.
I loved taking Creative Writing class when I was 17, and that's when I also started writing my own original novel.
Writing fanfiction, I started about a year ago, with Hogwarts Legacy. I just had a couple ideas and decided to just give it a shot and write them. Now, I'm still writing HL fanfics and enjoying it so much :]
Are there different themes or genres you enjoy reading than what you write?
Ummm, I'm not sure. Maybe enemies to lovers as I personally don't think I can write that wonderful trope well. But I love to see it, like Zutara, lol.
Is there a writer you want to emulate or get compared to often?
No, as I write with my own style. I might be inspired by works of others sometimes, but I intend to make stories with my own take and my own way.
Can you tell me a bit about your writing space?
Well, if I write at my home, I usually do it at my desk! Per my name, I have some dragon stuff on my desk, lol, as well as a ceramic cup of pens and pencils and a lamp.
If I feel bored at my desk, I would move to the kitchen table or the living room, just to have a change of scenery. I also sometimes go to a coffee shop and camp there for a few hours while drinking mochas and such.
What's your most effective way to muster up a muse?
I often listen to songs and think of which pairs or characters fit them. And even when I watch a show or movie, I find myself wondering what characters from HL would be like in it, hahaha.
So honestly...the most effective way is just me lost in thought XD. I have one interesting thought, then I keep following that thought, and it just builds up in there. And my creativity has me start to write it.
Are there any recurring themes in your writing? Do they surprise you?
Family is huge in my writing. Whether it's blood family or - more frequently - found family. Also friends that are like family. And just being supportive and having healthy relationships. Wonderful happy love and fluff everywhere!
It doesn't surprise me, lol. I don't like sad endings or anything too depressing. I can't handle it, and I always want happy endings after many rough trials or trauma.
With Sebastian, I always have him redeemed when he's in a relationship with my MC Estelle. And she needed healing of her own too. And they just make each other so happy and they love each other so much. All the fluff for them and my other otps :]
What is your reason for writing?
It's mainly because I wanted to a certain story and didn't see it out there, so I decided to write it myself. In doing so, I hope that others enjoy the stories too.
Anyone that's seen the majority of my incorrect quotes or read some of my stories know I'm a huge shipper of Garrelda. I love them to bits, I'll forever captain that ship if need be, lol. So, when HL fics were still coming out, I didn't any (if at all) or Poppinis. I decided to give it a shot and write for those pairings, more of Poppinis at first. I loved Poppinis as a ship first before I fleshed out my take on Garrelda more.
In the end, I write stories that I randomly get inspired to write, and I just send them out there, not knowing if others wanted to read such a thing, lol
Is their any specific comment or type of comment you find particularly motivating?
Any positive comment showing love for the story just makes me so happy. Seeing them appreciate it always makes me smile. Those comments help me remember people do like what I write, and it's a nice reminder :]
How do you want to be thought about by your readers?
Eh, I don't know if there's anything I want to be thought about. But I guess a "provider" of Garrelda content, as I often write that pairing, especially with my recent on-going fic. Or just a "truly writing dragon", lol, as I keep sending out more stories for people to read in the HL fandom.
What do you feel is your greatest strength as a writer?
I think writing emotions and characters. I try to make the characters feel real, and I do my best in describing them so they're relatable to readers.
How do you feel about your own writing?
I feel like it's improving, which is great to see. But that makes me grimace about my first fics I wrote, as I know they can be a bit rough. But that's how it goes, and I do feel pretty proud of how far I've come, and I do like my writing more from time to time. I admittedly am still my worst critic, though.
And those are my answers! Thank you for whomever came up with this! :]

Outer Rim Marches, #0.1
In January, I started a westmarches campaign for Mothership RPG. This is the first post in a series of play reports and mini-reviews I intend to share of the campaign-in-progress.
Let's call this post "Zero Session #1," in a series of Zero Session posts, where I'll get into the how/why of organizing and running this campaign.
Why? Well, I own a ton of Mothership modules. I've been playing and writing for Mothership RPG for over two years, yet most of my sessions became playtests and that "work-only" connection to the game was burning me out.
So, I decided to build a sandbox campaign around the physical MoSh games I have in hand, and to find folk to play at an open table.
For now, ok, sure, it's more of an open table sandbox for interconnected one-shots than a "true" westmarches game, especially since the game has only one GM (me, but I'm hoping to open that up soon). But Outer Rim Marches sounds cool, eh?
Initial Forward Operating Base (F.O.B.)
Tumblr media
The PCs arrived at Sater's Redemption. They work for The Company, who hired them to represent their new presence amid a mess of other factions, and leases a ship, The Orpheus, to the Crew.
(We decided the official corporation name of The Company that owns their ship will be revealed in play. That hasn't happened yet, eight sessions later. I love hanging this important piece of worldbuilding in the balance for when it can have a bigger narrative impact. Not knowing wtf is going to happen is one of my favorite parts of running ttrpgs.)
The Crew's job: explore the Outer Rim to establish footholds in new trading hubs (F.O.B.s), discover novel exploitable resources (artifacts), capture profitable exobiological lifeforms, and spread the influence of The Company.
The above graphic might be familiar to folk who follow my substack, the 5 Million Worlds Rokaner Report. Each month, I release a free sci-fi adventure setting, and this station was the featured world in the April edition. A taste of things to come.
Game Organization
When I set out to recruit players, the first important bit was setting a firm, regular playtime. When people reached out, I sent them the Consent in Gaming fillable PDF to get an idea of collective Lines/Veils. Once I got that back, I sent a google survey to gauge interest in modules and game commitment to split folks into ping-able groups.
The playtime is working out well. We had one three week break, I was out sick one time, and only once did we have not have enough folk to play. Ten sessions out of a possible fifteen since January!
I kinda fucked up the module-interest part of the survey though. I listed module names, and without content tags this was pretty useless for the players (outside the BIG names, like Hull Breach). I intend to redo this survey soon, and I'll share a copy here when I do!
The player commitment bit was super helpful, at least. Since I run games on Discord, I split players into three groups: the Command crew who vote on which job to take, the mainline players are the Crew I ping each week to advertise the game (I make an "Event" in Discord), and and a final Cryo group to call on when games don't fill up right away.
This has worked super well for me, even when I drop the ball on giving the players the Event ping in advance.
The Sector Map
Tumblr media
I built this hexmap using Sectors Without Number, which is a sector generator for Stars Without Number. I opted for this against the recommendations of Mothership's Warden's Operation Manual because in a westmarches campaign, from what I've understood, the world is meant to be established once the game begins. I think this is especially important should other GMs and player groups begin playing in this world.
To be blunt, I found using this is kind of annoying. There's a lot of irrelevant SWN info to delete, TONS of systems to hide individually, and it's pretty intensive to integrate module info into the systems.
In short, listen to Sean McCoy's advice in the Warden's Operation Manual if you're starting your own Mothership game and don't fucking do this, haha.
And to be honest, I'm not sold on this even being useful as a sandbox tool intended to be shared with other GMs, even. The verdict is still out. To be continued in another Zero Session post down the line.
ANYWAY! This map looks empty, but that's because it's the player-facing starcharts the Company gave them. PCs need to buy hyperspace route maps at various hubs to explore beyond these bounds. So the star and hyperlane layers hold loads of hidden info.
Feel free to poke around the current state of the sector.
And I do like the shift from a web to hexmap. Little swirls of points get me all crossed up. The Jump-drive distances in Mothership are amenable to using hexes, and tracking distance (i.e. time passed) is straightforward.
ORM Campaign Sneak Peek
Mothership space travel takes a long-ass time, in case you didn't know. To date, we've played nine adventures over ten sessions, and over two years have passed in the campaign world.
Tumblr media
The players skipped over a lot of systems to go to Hardlight, which they've recently learned is on the edge of the Public Sector (from Hull Breach). Gonna be some interesting sessions coming up.
The next Outer Rim Marches post will be the official ORM#1, in which the players board the lauded Year of the Rat.

Fic authors self rec! When you get this, reply with your favorite five fics that you've written, then pass on to at least five other writers. Spread the self-love ❤️
Thanks for the tag, @theemptyislost! ❤️
Self-love, eh? lol I feel a smidge awkward doing this, but I'm going to bite the bullet and do it anyways. 🤸‍♀️
[He Will Be All She Knows] [Baldur's Gate 3: Raphael x Tav] Tav dun goofed in going to the House of Hope alone (with some cheese as a kind parting gift). Raphael didn't like that. In response, he spends a year planning his revenge, but, oops! Developments arise between a mouse and a rat-fucking-bastard.
My first foray into writing fanfic since 2002, and no, you can't read my shitty InuYasha fanfics that I wrote when I was twelve. (Well, technically, you can... they're still online... but moving on...)
[Blood in the Wine] [Balder's Gate 3 AU: Raphael x Tav / Astarion x Tav] A monk who has nothing to hide gains entry to an abbey run by a man she suspects isn't a man at all. There are secrets to uncover at what many call the House of Hope...
Stretching my legs with this one. Research is involved as well as carefully arranging my pieces on the board to ensure this plot delivers Glorious Payoffs. Like HWBASK, I know *exactly* where this is going. Just 👏 gotta 👏 keep👏 writing 👏 the 👏 damn 👏 thing. I will finish this story!
The rest under the cut.
[May - June - July] [Fallout TV Show: The Ghoul x Lucy MacLean] Lucy's been having thoughts about a certain Ghoul, and she decides to take matters into her own hand upon finding a lovely pin-up calendar.
The moment I saw these characters... I said, 'I'm going to ship them, aren't I?' And... I did. I do. So this is my sole contribution to the fandom and the ship. Some playful smut.
[Truths] [Baldur's Gate 3: Raphael x Tav] Raphael made dinner, but Tav isn't hungry. Raphael makes Tav eat anyways, and she doesn't like the food.
A Raphael POV chapter from HWBASK. He's a cambion with complicated (icky) feelings he wants to deny, but I won't let him.
[O, Apple of His Eye] [Baldur's Gate 3: Raphael x Tav] Raphael and Tav can't escape each other - no matter the timeline or universe.
My collection of prompts and drabbles and other ideas involving these two. I view these as fun exercises for writing, and the prompts have been great fun to navigate. Thank you everyone who has contributed.
I'll hit up some inboxes, but no pressure.

Saw your wincestiel post and loved it so much, but unfortunately I cannot reblog it... I'm at an uncomfortable place in the fandom where I'm a heller main but I enjoy wincest occasionally and see no problem with the ppl who ship it, but I know I'd get blocked so fast by so much of the heller community if I ever expressed that. This ask has no real point I guess, except venting to someone who might understand where I'm coming from lol. I just wish everyone could just chill and that there wasn't such a huge divide in the fandom.
ohhhh anon. I COMPLETELY understand. and you're always welcome to come and vent about this in my askbox
I've been in the destiel side of the fandom since like... 2012? 2013? and I was a closeted multishipper until I decided I really wanted to explore that side of fandom and made this entirely new blog just a few months ago. I use my alt name and alt accounts for it bc I was that scared of letting my main know, who are all destiel mutuals. I know some of them would be cool with it, but I know some of them would not. now im at a point where im like eh people can know or not know. but it fucking sucks! cuz like. it's fiction! we should all be having fun with it and not make it into a huge fight.
there shouldn't be a divide. I have found that the people who are rude and mean about it is a minority that happens to be very loud and in your face. doesn't make it hurt any less when they send rude anons and stuff, or god forbid do worse, but it's less people than i was expecting. a lot of people do the normal things of blocking tags and stuff and curating your online experience and minding your own business. and the wincest community I've found is mostly very accepting and welcoming!!!
anyways. basically I'm saying that I'm sorry that you feel that way and I hope you find people who accept that it's all just fiction and we should have fun with it <33

20 questions for fic writers
I was tagged on this by @unexpectedstormy ! I wasn't sure whether I was supposed to respond like it was a chain or make my own post, so I just went for it
1. How many works do you have on A03?
Two. There will be more coming, because Blood Drops on Roses is just arc one of this story, and there's a lot of snippets for Prologue floating around.
Blood Drops on Roses: Linked Universe
BDOR Prologue: The Yiga and The Sheikah
2. What's your total A03 word count?
51,493 words since mid-August, when I finally got an account XD I've been a lurker for YEARS ya'll.
3. What fandoms do you write for?
Linked Universe only, so far.
4. What are your top five fics by kudos?
See above XD I hope to get enough fics out there that I can sort my work like that, but for now it's just those two.
5. Do you respond to comments? Why or why not?
Yes, I respond as soon as I can, they are like crack to me. Maybe because I'm new to sharing my work or something, but I would die for each and every one of you that leaves even as much as a <3
6. What's the fic you wrote with the angstiest ending?
NONE OF MY FICS ARE FINISHED YET AAAAAAAAAA. Arc 1's ending is going to be pretty angsty though.
7. What's the fic you wrote with the happiest ending?
Hm, I see that this questionnaire is not meant for me. There is a Prologue section "The Trap" that I'll be putting out soon through, its ending is pretty sweet I would say.
8. Do you get hate on fics?
Not yet. I am afraid that it's gonna happen, but so far everyone has been so nice, so I hope not D:
9. Do you write smut?
Nah. Don't really read it either. Just not my thing.
10. Do you write crossovers?
I mean unless you count LU as a crossover between all the Link's respective fandoms, no
11. Have you ever had a fic stolen?
Gosh I hope not. How does one steal a fic?
12. Have you ever had a fic translated?
Nope. If I ever get good enough at Spanish, I would like to take a crack at translating my own fic once its all published, but it would probably be laughably terrible. Eh, practice is practice.
13. Have you ever co-written a fic before?
Not yet. Hey @needfantasticstories, I think Clippy Wind and Pug Sky need to go on some adventures together, don't you?
14. What's your all-time favorite ship?
Tbh I don't really ship. I do think Malon/Time and Legend/Ravio are cute though. I'm just not really interested in exploring the romantic side of stories, even in published literature.
15. What's the WIP you want to finish but doubt you ever will?
Geez I hope that I finish all of Arc 2 at this point. But I may be too early into the game to answer this.
16. What are your writing strengths?
Heck if I know. I had someone say in my comment section that they liked how I characterize people, so we'll go with that.
17. What are your writing weaknesses?
I write too much and probably in too much detail. Sometimes it would be better to say "They crossed the bridge and set up camp" but nooooooooooo lets add 7,000 words to this already bloated fic.
18. Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language for a fic?
Italics. I was about to whip out my decade of Latin for part of this fic, but I decided against it because I'm pretentious but not that pretentious. Also because I still don't understand word order at ALL.
19. First fandom you wrote for?
Now that I'm thinking about it, I think I have some fanfic from the dog series of Warrior Cats lurking somewhere that I wrote when I was like 12. Survivors, or something? I should probably go delete it, I'm sure it's trash. I'm scared to even look, it probably hasn't seen the light of day since I wrote it.
20. Favorite fic you've ever written?
Well I've only got one big fic out right now so let's go with BDOR
@needfantasticstories and @somer-writes I'm kicking this your way.

I've seen many posts about people missing how common asks used to be so I have been trying to send about an ask a week. Now I send this ask first anytime I follow someone as I really don't want to bother anyone, so I'd love to know if you enjoy receiving asks and if so what kind of asks. Not having energy for asks or being comfortable with them is perfectly okay.
The categories I have in my ask notebook that I file under are in colour. Please feel free to make your response as long as you want or private (the asker cannot directly respond to private responses).
Self, Job/Work: please let me know what you are comfortable with from eh idk just ask it to nothing personal at all.
Baggishield/Tolkien, Dragon Age, Johnlock/Sherlock, ineffable spouses, other fandom: Please let me know what fandoms. I think my main fandoms and ships are Bagginshield/The Hobbit, Sherlock/Johnlock, Dragon Age Inquisition, {Pippin/Faramir Merry/Eowyn}/The Lord of the Rings and I dip my toes in a few that I currently can't remember but ships I don't engage with the canon of at all are: Good Omens but only for Crowley/Azirapheal, Stranger Things but only for Steve/Eddie , The Witcher but only for Geralt/Jaskier.
OC's, art/drawing, their writing, blog specific only
Story snippets ideas and prompts: Do you like receiving them?
Pets: I'd love to know all about them
Garden and Hobbies: What type of gardening and/or hobbies?
Like being tagged in things: If so what kinds of things?
*Asks are sent for fun, no pressure to answer.
Oh thank you so much for this, what a lovely idea! And I hope you don't mind that I did indeed lack the energy during the last few days... was out seeing friends and now I'm sick too x) anyway!
Job/work/about myself: Sure thing, ask away, I won't have many interesting things to talk about since I'm currently finishing up my degree and going into exams for the next few months so it's basically same old every day (-> desk and books). I may also choose not answer certain questions if I feel like they're too personal in the sense that me answering would reveal too much about my real life self, like location, identity etc, but that's on me, I'll decide that in the moment and there are absolutely no hard feelings. I do appreciate people's interest and as long as nobody is overly pushy or prying that's all completely fine :)
Fandom: Tolkien, mainly Silmarillion. Happy to chat about Hobbit and LotR too of course, just may have less to contribute. I do love Bagginshield and Aziraphale/Crowley, but don't really talk about the latter as I keep this blog Tolkien-focused
OCs: I have a few and enjoy talking about them every once in a while. They're all Maiar though so it might not be of interest to everyone and that too is very okay :)
Writing: I write and talk about writing all the time so... always love that :D
Art: I make art very occasionally. I don't mind talking about it or answering questions, it's just that I don't have much to show or be proud of or new developments happening x)
Snippets, ideas & prompts: LOVE THEM! Just a dangerous business because I get tempted easily...
Pets: While I love pets, my dog has recently passed away so it sadly remains a bit of a triggering topic for me. I sometimes share old stories about him when I have the mental and emotional capacity for it, but would prefer not to be asked about it for the foreseeable future as it can catch me off-guard and put me in a dark place🤍
Garden/hobbies: Due to my current living situation, my gardening is pretty much just maintaining my cacti collection. Also writing is currently my only hobby due to aforementioned circumstances
Tagging: Everyone, tag me in cute seal and bird pics! I also love doing tag games and ask games and the like, even if it sometimes takes me a while. In general: Never hesitate to tag me for stuff ^^

What made you decide to host original fiction on AO3? You're the first (favorite) author doing serial original fic online that I think of these days, though I've not dabbled since independent domains were the most common strategy. I'm hoping to make progress on a project of my own in the soon, but am having trouble finding sites without fairly restrictive content policies--are there/were there other contenders for hosting Fae Tales that would have let you go so dark, or is it AO3 or bust?
Hi anon!
I think from your tone, you're starting off with the assumption that I was trying to be a professional writer and then chose AO3, and that's not the path I took at all!! No one in their right mind generally chooses AO3 if they want to make a profit off of their original writing for a lot of reasons, and a lot of fanfiction authors leave AO3 so they can make a profit off their original writing (and some do both - write fanfic under one name, and original fiction under a completely different name. My path isn't even the mainstream fanfic writer's way of breaking into original fiction, lol).
So my journey was basically that:
I was writing fanfiction on AO3 that became quite popular in its small fandom, and I put two OCs (Original Characters) into that story that got especially popular and started getting fanart during the fanfic. A few people at the time said 'I ship these two' and I was like 'eh I don't want to write it.' And then in typical fandom fashion eventually I was like 'okay I'll just give it a try.'
I wrote several PWP hatefucking chapters mostly to see if they even really worked as a couple (they did!) - since they weren't a couple in the fanfic, they were mortal enemies, lol - and these chapters popped off among a very small number of people and I thought 'you know what, these characters deserve an actual story, because I don't want their tale to have a tragic ending' (which it would have done).
So I wrote more of the story, and eventually I got a message from a reader saying 'hey can you open a Patreon account so we can support your original writing, because it doesn't feel fair that we're getting all of this for free.'
So I opened a Patreon account.
And then about 3 years later I thought 'actually...I think I can turn this into a proper job.' And I...tried lol. It's not a very 'proper job' by the standards of people who started original writing purely for income, but it is quite a proper job for me, lol. I still write fanfiction because I love it.
I never chose AO3 as a place to build a career exactly, I just put original fiction there because that's where the readers were who already liked the original characters, and it didn't make sense to put it anywhere else. I also never expected at the time to make a formal leap into original fiction, I was actually planning another fanfic and then got completely derailed because we were all enjoying Fae Tales so much.
I stay there because I can post any fictional content I like pretty much - no matter how taboo - without fear of reprisal from the site or fear of having my account banned etc. for content. I stay because the warning and tagging system is the most sophisticated in the world. I stay because the search system is also the most sophisticated in the world. I stay because I love the spirit of fandom, and the people who find my original fics there already understand reading serials and WIPs and ongoing stories. I stay because I really enjoy AO3 comment culture, which is uniquely different to anything else anywhere on the internet, but especially other free serial sites like Wattpad, Royal Road, Inkitt and more. I stay because having to invite people to come to my Tumblr to see my posts and excerpts and sometimes find out about Patreon is a feature and not a bug, because it means the people who eventually find their way to my Patreon probably want to be there more than the average reader who never needs to leave AO3.
I stay there because Wattpad needs incredibly short chapters and I like longer chapter lengths (and long serials). I stay there because the comment culture of Royal Road is a lot of 'um, actually' folks alongside some decent folks, and you really have to love constant constructive (and not so constructive) criticism even on your most viral stories, and I am baby. I stay on AO3 because my friends are there, and so are many other folks who I enjoy the thoughts and company of.
To my knowledge, the only other place that allows really taboo content officially (i.e. not 'it's against the rules but everyone does it') is probably Ream, which is a subscription site like Patreon. And they're very recent. I will be setting up a mirrored version of my Patreon account there for all the folks who can't access Patreon due to like...credit card / bank reasons.
If you want to write a super dark, taboo serial, there aren't many free serial sites in the world where that's truly okay. I'm going to take some risks on Wattpad soon with the Fae Tales canon and we'll see how we go, lmao. AO3 is particularly unique because it started for many of us fanfiction writers who were getting banned and censored on other fanfiction and fandom platforms (like Livejournal Strikethrough, which was a huge historical event in fandom around censorship), so it literally - in many ways - was invented to protect and give space to the people who are writing adult or taboo fanfiction (and then later also original fiction). It is designed to be a safe haven for those of us who understand that fiction is just fiction when it comes to sexual fantasy content.
In the past year I have considered other dedicated serial sites for my content and frankly I don't believe any of them are 'safe' for me re: the nature of my writing (I don't feel my writing is as dark as some, but it certainly has 'rape as titillation' quite a bit, and pretty broad scale dubcon). Royal Road doesn't suit my genre/s, Inkitt is possible, but I'm not sure if my work will do well there, Wattpad is a risk but is huge and I'm not mad if my account gets banned there, Tapas allows some taboo, but is very clear that it wants no serials intended for the purpose of sexual gratification and requires 500-1500 chapters maximum, which is a bit of a downer for someone like me who has 3-10,000 word chapters, lol.
If you want to be a professional writer of adult sexual/taboo content who makes money off your writing, I wouldn't recommend hosting your works on AO3, I'd recommend publishing novels and when you have enough of a backlist, potentially offering chapters of future novels as early access on Ream (Patreon will actually also ban accounts with taboo content if you're hosting it on Patreon - and while most of us are safe at the moment, they get stricter over time).
AO3 is, imho, a great place for original authors who already love writing fanfiction or reading fanfiction, and already love fandom, and want to participate in the culture with original stories. Readers on AO3 are very savvy, clued-in people who are overall likely to be suspicious rather than welcoming of original fiction on AO3 in general (many refuse to read it outright), and who also can tell when a newcomer author is just there to try and make a profit off them. But they are also some of the most ride or die, wonderful, best readers in the world once they love your work. (I know this from experience as a reader too, lol, I am ride or die for a few authors there myself).
That doesn't mean it can't be done, it just means there's a steep learning curve re: fandom etiquette (thoroughly worth it, do recommend it, it just will take some time - months, not weeks - to feel it out). AO3 also strongly prefers/requires all original fiction there be posted 'in the spirit of fandom' - which has broad interpretations, but it does mean an effort needs to be made to at least understand and enjoy fandom.
But yeah if you're purely professional career focused, AO3 is not a first-line strategy imho. That's why...there's not many people doing it this way - even viral fanfiction authors don't do it this way, anon, when they decide to writing original fiction based off their fanfiction success. Use Smashwords, Ream, your own host site for direct sales etc. there are erotica and dark fantasy authors who are making WAY more money than I am using paths like this.
I love my path, I love it, and I do believe more people could use it and make it work, but I'll be honest with you - I know I could be making more money if I chose different paths, I'm on this path because it's fun.

Okay for the wip game: green!
A very rough idea for an AU where Lasky and the Infinity go rogue. Tried to make it easy to read and skip the notes, but eh. It's rough, what can I say.
---
He didn't like it.
He'd spent the entire slipspace trip trying to justify the orders. Trying to rationalize them.
He'd done the same thing when Osman had ordered him to execute Dr. Halsey.
Not execute...to murder.
Since [Last Major Thing...Covenant war?], there had been a few years of relative peace. Something Thomas hadn't seen since Circinus...
But something in the back of his mind told him it wouldn't last, and sure enough as soon as the outer colonies had approached the UEG and asked for independence (something something the UEG goes oh hah yeah fucking right losers) the Insurrection had once more boiled into a full-blown war. And this time, the insurrectionists had new allies; former Covenant were all too happy to supply the Insurrectionists with weapons and ships (something the UNSC hasn't been able to put down the rebellion or at least keep it in check near as well? as they had prior to the covenant war, so they decide to bring Infinity in for another refit, add a bunch of PDCs and idk maybe replace the spine mounted mac cannons with something like the covenant's plasma weapons? The ones u can steer using magnets so the ship doesn't have to turn or whatever)
The bridge was silent. Nobody moved from their post, the crew simply stayed in place, looking at him expectantly.
(Lasky spends the whole trip to X system agonizing over his order to slap down a whole colony just bc they want to be left alone, and can't find a way to rationalize it. Does he hear rumors that others share his discontent with their orders? Sarah would take his side and probably grouse abt it. Infinity gets to X system and Communication with the colony is had, at which point Lasky decides that court martial is better than having blood on his hands over this bullshit. Maybe FLEETCOM is all like Lasky why the fuck arent you mopping the floor w these colonists yet and he just straight up says he's not gonna and cuts transmission, 'you'll have to replace me' or smth.)
"Sir," Roland said as his avatar appeared in the holotank "I think I speak for the crew when I say we're with you."
(Lasky is anxious but this decision feels much better, especially with support from the crew and Palmer, he prepares to make his move)
"Roland, please mark all UNSC assets not attached to Infinity as 'hostile'."
"Yes, sir!" he replied. Almost instantly, a cascade of markers flipping from green to read spread outward from the Infinity's immediate vicinity.
(radio chatter goes from routine to surprised chaos as UNSC and Insurrectionists realize that the Infinity's IFF has changed, along with the IFF tags of almost all of her compliment of ships)
"Cry havoc, and let slip the dogs of war." Tom muttered quietly.
(break?)
"Fire at will! Aim to disable, not to kill!"
(Something PDCs firing looks like 'strings of golden stitches across the black tapestry of space')

SHIPPING INFO. Answer the following for your muse(s) so people know how shipping works on your blog.
Tumblr media
What’s your OTP for your Muse(s)? I - don't have one. I feel I've lost the desire to think of ships and stuff, mostly because whatever I liked... wasn't particularly popular. So, now I'm like. #SurpriseME.
What are you willing to RP when it comes to shipping? Mostly anything, though I really don't write nsfw much.... and by that I mean I've only written it with one person. I felt okay writing it with them because we had similar thoughts, like we both hated vulgarity ... ya know. "HE SHOVED HIS ****** INTO HER *****" .... and so on. it was steamy but like, classy. we also had a lotttt of ship build up etc. talked everyday, bantered IC .... felt they really and truly enjoyed shipping with me, I wasn't an 'extra' .... so that was a bonus.
How large does the age gap have to be to make it uncomfortable? Uhh. It's hard to say, I'll go by physical appearance since a character could be a billion years old but look and act the exact same age as my muse haha. - if they could pass for my muse's parent.... I'd rather not
Are you selective when shipping? In a way, yeah. My struggle with ships is people will approach me for one and then ...sorta poof? Or they're really just not that interested. And I can tell .... usually they prefer another ship, which is totally fine but then I'm like.... "why did you ask me?" ..... fjrijiwf. I'm still open to trying, but if my rp partner is sorta, eh.... I'll drop the ship.
How far do steamy moments have to go before they’re considered NSFW? again I've only written nsfw once hahaha, but I guesss ....when things start getting extra touchy-feely?
Who are other muses you ship your muse with? sobs, none..... my shippers brain has given up trying, no motive ... so I'm open to anything really.
Does one have to ask to ship with you? I prefer things blossoming in a thread without actually plotting it out. I like surprises but ...I understand my partners may want confirmation, so I'm totally cool with being asked. I just...I miss, letting the thread decide how things go. Unspoken character chemistry through interactions.
How often do you like to ship? It's nice having at least one cute lil ship for a muse but it won't ruin my rping experience to not have any at all. - As I mentioned above ... I sorta feel like an 'extra' sometimes, so like... yes I would like a ship but then I'm like.. ehhhhhhh...........
Are you multiship? Gonna be real, I'm only multiship because a majority of tumblr rpers are haha. i'd be more than happy to ship exclusively with one person if we had that sort of love for the ship / connection. fjeifwjf.
Are you ship obsessed or ship more-or-less? Not obsessed, like everyone else I just want to write romantical things sometimes.
What is your favorite ship in your current fandom? Again I don't have anything for Robin but ... in general? I love March/Dan Heng. it is chefs kiss!
Finally, how does one ship with you? Haha I think I've answered this sorta but ... interactions, asking - whatever works best for us both.

20 questions for fic writers
Thanks for the tag, @danpuff-ao3 and @turanga4!
1. How many works do you have on AO3? 18 + some I made private.
2. What's your total A03 words count? 45k.
3. What fandoms do you write for? Harry Potter.
4. What are your top 5 fics by kudos?
Assumptions (483) The asexual Drarry fic.
Quiet Things (134) The other Drarry fic.
Something Old, Something New (52) The Droyle fic (which got rec'd by a Drarry blog).
Longest Night (51) The Drarcissa fic.
Love (51) The Blaise fic.
5. Do you respond to comments? Why or why not? Yes, because I like to show appreciation for commenters in that way, and because I usually don't comment if I know the author doesn't reply (how Slytherin of me lol) so I don't wanna be a hypocrite.
6. What's the fic you wrote with the angstiest ending? The Draco/Scabior fic, Refuge.
7. What's the fic you wrote with the happiest ending? Most have decently happy endings, I think? I'll say Silver Lined because thinking of the peacock always makes me smile.
8. Do you get hate on fics? Nope, never did.
9. Do you write smut? If so what kind? I've done it four times: One Night - Just wanted to see if I could. I could. Longest Night - One-way incest more out of care than attraction, what a comfy notion. [Redacted] - A hetero-allonormative abomination that will haunt me every day until I re-edit it to not be sexual. [Upcoming for a fest] - It's more vibes than smut and it was more for the concept than the titillation.
All of them are very gentle in form even if they're fucked up in concept. And strange that 3/4 were het since I never read that — but well, one I hated, one was family love, and one was conceptual.
10. Do you write crossovers? What's the craziest one you've written? Not yet, but I swear one day I will write Draco/Nathan from Life is Strange.
11. Have you ever had a fic stolen? I hope not 👀
12. Have you ever had a fic translated? Nope. It would be funny to have one translated by someone else into my first language.
13. Have you ever cowritten a fic before? Nope.
14. What's your all-time favourite ship? I don't have one. I read more Drarry because there's so much more of it, but I made a list the other day and there are 20+ Draco ships I find interesting.
15. What's a WIP you want to finish, but doubt you ever will? I have a million unpublished WIPs where I've just jotted down a half-formed idea on a doc.
16. What are your writing strengths? I keep Draco a prickly little meow meow, which is the most important thing in a fic :)
17. What are your writing weaknesses? I feel like I make everything funny, I can't ever make it serious enough. But that might be partly because I find everything I write funny in some way. "It's not the writing, it's the fact that it's yours" etc etc.
18. Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language for a fic? No? The closest was deciding how to write Scabior's accent, but it was Draco's POV so I figured if it came across as classist and exoticising that was a feature.
19. First fandom you wrote for? Phineas & Ferb. I shipped Phinbella.
20. Favourite fic you've ever written? Eh, my fave is always the one I haven't written yet.

Witches vs Humans
Read on Ao3

Amity has always been top of her class, not by a lack of effort. Constantly doing extra credit. Then her health class gave her the opportunity to hit three birds with one stone.
Get extra credit
Learn more about human biology
Hang out with her crush

Additional Tags: Human Biology, Witch Biology, girls doing extra credit, Gay Disaster Amity Blight, talk about biological sex, accurate to the best of my knowledge, Pre-Relationship
"At least you guys have a better health class than we do back home," Luz commented.
"They don't teach you guys basic anatomy?" Amity asked with a raised eyebrow. Luz shook her head.
"They barely teach us about the reproductive system and gross stuff like that." She flipped to another page of her textbook. "Most of it is wrong anyways. Like, I only read fanfiction and I know it's wrong. The rest of our bodies haven't really been mentioned since fourth grade. And even then all it was about was how many bones are in our body and what our stomach, heart, and lungs do. We never really talked about any other organs or what our muscles do or anything. Here everything is so detailed."
"So you don't know how your body works?"
"No, I do know. Kind of, at least. Not everything but enough to know that the school is wrong." Amity looked at the papers she had set beside her.
"Well, for extra credit you can do a report on a being with a different anatomy than you. And if it's okay with you I'd like to do you. Not because I'm curious or anything just because it would be really unique," she said quickly.
"Only if I can do you," Luz bargained.
"Deal." Amity ran her finger under the words and read them out loud quietly to herself. "Species name, sex, external appearance, limbs, type of vertebrae, organs, manner of movement, diet, hot or cold-blooded, differences from my species, other notes, and space for a drawing."
"That's a lot of work for some extra credit," Luz observed.
"Eh, it's actually not much compared to what I had to do for history class one time," Amity replied. "Do you have a paper? I might have a spare."
"I have one actually. I was going to bribe King to let me do him." She rummaged through her bag and pulled out a paper identical to Amity's.
"Oh, if you want to do it on him it's okay-"
"No! No, it's okay. I'm pretty curious about witches too. So, where do you want to start? Do you want to draw me? I'll do a pose!" Amity shook her head rapidly, her cheeks a furious shade of red at the idea.
"No, no, no, no. I can do that later it's fine. I guess I'll just ask you some things. Like how are your eyes different than mine?"
"What do you mean?"
"You can see those glyphs. When you showed me that video of Eda casting a light spell, I didn't see anything. I can only see them when you draw them."
"As far as I know my eyes are exactly like yours. Maybe it's because I'm human and that's the only way I can do magic. Maybe the Boiling Isles can just sense that. But then how could I see it on my phone… I don't know actually. I'll go with no but don't quote me on that."
"It looks like most of our features are the same, at least on the outside. Besides our ears and hands," Amity stated.
"Wait, our hands? What's different? Give me your hand." Luz quickly grabbed Amity's hand and pulled it up to her face to look at it closely.
"M-my fingers are longer, along with my nails. It's true for all witches. It's for magic because we use our hands for it and our fingers are really the way we cast spells." Luz released her and scribbled something down. Amity held her hand to her chest and tried to keep herself composed.
"What about your ears? Why are they pointed?" Luz reached out to touch them before jerking her hand back when Amity jumped. "Sorry, I should've asked first.'
"It's fine," Amity decided after a few seconds.
"Fine that I didn't ask or fine that I touch?"
"Both." Luz carefully held the pointed tip of Amity's ear in between her fingers. Besides being pointed, it was exactly like hers, maybe a little softer. "I don't know why it's like that. Kind of a little weird I guess, but it could be so that it's possible to tell the difference between witches and humans. Or maybe it's because we're more sensitive to noise." Luz wrote a couple more things down.
"Can they move?" Amity nodded.
"Yeah, but I don't decide when. Some witches can make their ears move whenever they want, but for the rest of us, our ears only move to indicate our emotions or when we hear something. Can human ears move?"
"Yes and no." Luz made a triangle with her hands. "A few people can. Like, ten or twenty percent of humans. I can't. Also, they don't move like yours do. They just kind of wiggle a tiny bit. It's still pretty cool though, but your ears are cooler." Amity's cheeks turned slightly pink.
"Well, human ears are neat I guess," she mumbled.
"Oh, oh! Above your ears! Your hair! Before I forget I wanna ask you about witch hair! Can witch hair come in any colour? I've seen witches with human hair colours, but then I've seen witches with green hair, blue hair, pink hair, purple hair, I don't know if it's natural but if it is-"
"It's natural," Amity interrupted. "At least, for most witches it is. As far as I know, it can come in any colour." Luz pointed at her hair.
"Is your hair naturally brown, or green, or both, or was it brown and now it's green?" Amity ran her fingers through her hair self-consciously.
"It's brown. I dye it green because the rest of my family has green hair." She straightened her back. "Doesn't human hair come in any colour?"
"No. Human hair is naturally blonde, brown, black, red, or orangish. People dye their hair for fun. I've dyed mine before, I might still have an old picture I could show you sometime, but after my hair grew out and I cut it I decided I wanted to stick with brown for a bit."
"Is human hair the same as witch hair?"
"Probably. Wanna find out?" Amity reached her hand out, then pulled it back, then reached out again. "You can touch my hair, it's fine." Amity put her hand on the side of Luz's head. She kept it there for a few moments then took it back. She started scribbling something down and Luz shifted positions, folding her legs underneath herself and clasping her hands in her lap. "Could I touch your hair?"
"Huh? Oh, sure." She batted her hair lightly and giggled.
"I feel like a cat."
"You might be one."
"My sweatshirt agrees." She held her hand in place and ran her thumb over the surface of her hair. "Our hair is the same."
"As far as I can tell. Maybe you could use some of the things you learned in alchemy to make sure."
"I could, or I could check if the library has anything on witch versus human biology."
"That would kind of make everything we're doing now redundant."
"More information doesn't make previous information redundant," Luz argued. "Okay, that's outward appearances done. This is going to be the hard part. Do you have different organs than me besides the magic thing on your heart?" Amity looked at her for a few moments.
"I don't... exactly know what you have for organs?"
"Oh, right. Well, I can sketch something quickly. Here." She flipped over the paper and drew an outline of a person. "Our heart is here, sans magic sac. Then we have our stomach here, then our lungs up here…" she drew each small part of the body with Amity overlooking and sketching down some rough copies in her notes.
"If that is what your organs are like, then yeah I think so. Except we also have another set of veins. Not technically an organ but that's beside the point."
"Really? For what?" Luz asked.
"For magic, duh," she laughed. She looked at her paper one more time and paused. "I'm sorry for having to ask this, but what's your sex?"
"Biologically female. I guess I have to ask yours too?"
"Same."
"Okay, obviously bipedal, mammal, wait are witches mammals?"
"Yes, and warm-blooded," Amity explained.
"What's your diet? Like, vegan, vegetarian, gluten-free, something else?"
"I don't really have a choice, I'm an omnivore. What about you?"
"I'm also an omnivore, although I have tried some other diets in the past."
"I think that's everything, I just need to draw a model. Hang on, do you know how to cast a layer spell?" Amity questioned. Luz shook her head.
Amity drew a few overlapping circles that were different shades. She quickly cast a spell and two of the circles flew above the paper slightly, one going a little higher than the other. Luz leaned forward and looked in between the circles. She turned her head to change angles a few times before smiling widely and drawing out one of her circles. She drew three lines above one another and then a diagonal line over those. She pressed it and the ink on the paper layered itself as Amity's had. She gave Amity a quick hug.
"New spell! What gave you the idea?" She asked, keeping her hands on Amity's shoulders.
"Well, to draw the model you need a layer spell to do the organs, then bone structure, then a normal drawing," Amity explained.
"This opens up a whole new world for art. I gotta go home, I'll see you tomorrow, Amity!" Luz haphazardly gathered her papers and hurried away, leaving Amity alone with a warm feeling in her heart.
