TV critic John Crosby said December Bride has "a title that makes me slightly ill" and was "full of lovely little imbecilities.

thank you everyone for replying with suggestions and submissions!!! there was soooo many good choices! (and you guys introduced me to some new pairs - and some I’ve forgotten about 😅- that i may do some more doodles for later!) I went with the most suggested pairs and a couple that I’d been itching to do before and never had the chance to. I had a lot of fun with this so thank you again for participating! 🧡

Decades December day 26 The 1880s
A story set in the Gilded Age for @thepromptfoundry event Decades December day 26 The 1880s featuring my Corpse Bride oc Amilia Van Dort, My adrienette fan kid Emily Agreste, and some of my own ocs.
Amilia Van Dort is amazed by the giant skyscrapers of the American cities since they remind her of London while she is visiting her dear friend Mary. Walking on the sidewalk, Amilia see the common people go about their day of selling newspaper and making their way to work. Soon, Amilia Van Dort arrived at the building where her friend lived and she told the front desk about her meeting with Mary, where a staff member help Amilia to a metal box called a elevator, which the doors closed and the staff pull a lever that bring the elevator up to a upper floor. After getting off the elevator, Amilia arrived at the door and knock on it, where Mary open the door and welcome her friend, "Amilia, it's good to see you. I got others guests." and introduced a blond hair woman and a brown hair woman around their ages, "These are Emily Agreste from France and Machiko Eanter from Japan." Soon, the four young woman have tea together and talk about stories of the American frontier in the West they hear about.

@beatingheart-bride
"Doreen's told me the costumes are beautiful," Susannah grinned, her excitement only growing the more they discussed it: Seeing as she didn't exactly get out to the theater very much, she by and large only had others' word to go off, letting her best friend's excitable descriptions fuel her imagination, painting herself a picture of lavish gowns and suits, glittering in full color and rich details under the stage lights, lending a touch of magic to the visuals, accompanying the wonder that was the music.
"She told me she auditioned to play the little girl in The Nutcracker, and even started to learning to dance for the part," she recalled, as she put in her order with the waiter, declining his offer of a glass of wine to accompany her meal: It had taken a lot of convincing on Doreen's part, getting her parents to let her try out for the theater, but eventually, she wore them down, getting them to give in at last. Her plans for stardom were spoiled, however, by a twisted ankle during dance practice, much to her deep disappointment-and, as Susannah saw it, her parents' deep relief.
"I don't think they wanted her to be an actress," she shrugged-a shame, honestly, considering Doreen's skill as one, it was a shame she never pursued it beyond that.
"I could never do that-I think I'd get stage fright, honestly!"

One Dress a Day Challenge
Anything Goes December
Bride and Prejudice / Aishwarya Rai Bachchan as Lalita Bakshi
This is one of those blink-and-you'll-miss-it costumes, appearing in a montage of the two leads enjoying various outings in California. I've always wished we could see more of it. From what I can tell, it looks like a classic sari with bare midriff (you can faintly see it in the top photo). The material seems to have a slight sheen to it, and there's some definite sparkle on the shoulder straps.

Stand Alones
House of Salt and Sorrows:
Tumblr media
A 5 star read for me. It was confusing me a lot but the plot twist was jaw dropping. This book got me back into reading and it will always have a special place in my heart. It's a 12 dancing princesses retelling.
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Nächstes Jahr am selben Tag:
Tumblr media
A 2 star read. It wasn't good and I associate this book with toothache.
⭐⭐
One Day in December:
Tumblr media
A 1 star read. I think this was the worst book I've ever read and I never want to experience this again. The plot was not there. The romance was uninteresting. I hate the main characters.
The Bridge Kingdom:
Tumblr media
A 3 star read. I know this is not a standalone but this is the only book on the series I've read and idk if I'll read the second book. It wasn't a bad book, it was good but it was so hyped up that I got excited and it left me disappointed.
⭐⭐⭐
We were liars:
Tumblr media
A 4 star read. I loved the chapter lengths. Unfortunately it was kind of boring until around 200 pages but not too boring, I did stay hooked enough to keep going. And in the end I sobbed.
⭐⭐⭐⭐
The Dragon's Bride
Tumblr media
A 4 star read. It was very spicy. Of course it was, it's Katee Robert. It wasn't my cup of tea but it was still well written and the characters are cute.
⭐⭐⭐⭐
To Kill A Kingdom:
Tumblr media
A 3 star read. Another case of it got so hyped up that it disappointed me. It was good and well written but it wasn't amazing and I didn't like the love interest.
⭐⭐⭐
Daisy Jones & The Six:
Tumblr media
A 3 star read. It was fine. It was a read out of my fantasy comfort zone. I adore Camila and I cried a lot at the end. Most of it wasn't really my cup of it either though.
⭐⭐⭐
Kingdom of Villains:
Tumblr media
A 2 star read. Probably the most disappointing of them all. Title was very misleading. The characters weren't likeable. The plot was weird. The writing was weird. I didn't like it.
⭐⭐
