to be honest, if they aren't gonna accept help and are actively trying to pull you down to the same state they're in, specifically if they don't know you well/personally, you should for sure stop talking to them

not only is it extremely energy wasting to be around people who only talk about wanting to commit, it's also even worse when it's someone you barely know on the internet. ive been spun into severe psychosis over people like that, and you shouldn't feel responsible for other people's lives, it's super damaging to your health

I think it's reasonable to ghost, especially if they are threatening it in a way that says that they only want a reaction out of you (even if they do feel that way deep down), you have your own things to worry about, and trying to help people who don't want help is extremely bad for both ends. but if you've known eachother for long lengths of time, and they genuinely want help, id say it depends on the situation

OHHH MY GODDDD this is such an amazing concept💔💔 I can imagine rob being torn away from his only remaining sense of security as a metaphor for his vulnerability being put in the spotlight when he no longer has a solution or "cheat" and is forced out of his position as a labeled leader to make him realize that he's just as lost as all the others in the convoy and will eventually die a death similar to all the others, that he isn't really the knight in shining armor, just a man who thought he was. he could sort out the convoy when things got too heated until then.

I think it'd also he interesting if it came off earlier, maybe even as early as just after ace's death,

when the rest of the convoy looks up to him the most, but instead of him being able to stare back with an unwavering gaze when he's confronted, he's no longer able to contain his paranoia and stress, because they're now looking into the eyes of an unhealed man of pretend. Not a shadow.

Then he'd put it back on, for just a moment, for that sense of protection, of relief. And then it's ripped away from him when he takes it for granted (probably around part 8, or early 9). He's left cold turkey to deal with what he pushed to the side, and it's only worse when he has to confess it all. He's not a king, not even a knight, just a man. And compared to the universe, a subatomic particle who thought it could do everything with what little it had.

Me when I accidentally kill my own son by ramming into his car at full speed and have the same thing happen again a year later except I now, instead of being the perpetrator, have to watch it happen in front of my eyes to my associate who looks up to me with no way to prevent it whatsoever
