I'm sorry but I simply do not accept that Edward doesn't like 60s or 70s music. I know the bit's playing on him being a Super Serious guy but you're really gonna tell me Edward wasn't excited exploring jazz fusion? Prog rock would've been at least hit-or-miss for him.

I would believe he holds a grudge because of the rise of bubblegum pop and disco or whatever. Fine. But tbh it's way more likely that he was half joking, half being a pretentious little hipster in front of his crush when he wrote those years off

odile is sooo mid 40s to me. she had a midlife crisis and went on a journey across the world bc of it, she’s slower than the 20s gang but still absolutely holds her own in a fight, she calls herself old but it doesn’t actually seem to affect her too much past the lack of youthful energy/perspective, she’s aware of her own mortality but not expecting to die any time soon or even face real old age, she’s achey enough to solidly prefer a real bed but not so much that camping genuinely fucks her up. none of these things are exclusive to 40s but altogether that’s the vibe hands down. maybe early 50s if you insist.

60s/70s Medieval Revival

The medieval fashion revival of the sixties, occurred as a subset of the psychedelic and hippie subculture styles. The trend was popular amongst 60s folk musicians and most famously epitomised by Brian Jones of The Rolling Stones. Medieval revival (as the name suggests) borrowed heavily from the medieval renaissance and incorporated elements of 60s psychedelia 🍄 Rich velvets and brocades were key fabrics along with classic renaissance shapes and cuts such as leg of mutton and exaggerated bell sleeves.

I used a sepia pen to make his eyes look brown as they were on the surface. The ink looks darker in these scans, so picture his original eye colour exactly like this:

I think one of the most compelling aspects of Harleith to me is the fact that everything and nothing changes between them following Harley's operation, despite the difference in corporeal form. It was always bickering under the guise of flirting (or vice versa), begrudging acknowledgement of the other, and a vague, genuine curiosity of what the other is doing (if a bit one-sided on Leith's part)... and basically none of that changes after the fact. Leith might have even less to fear, at least with regards to interference from Harley. There's more on his plate compared to years past, but at least there's someone he can find a twisted sense of solace in. Teasing words spoken against flesh or wires, it doesn't matter.

Just with added ammunition in the form of, "You're playing with fire, Leith." "Oh, you'd certainly know something about playing with fire..."
