the rise of anti-intellectualism is directly correlated with the exponential growth and popularity of AI generated "art" and "literature". when people never bother to think or care about a creators intentions to begin with (which there ALWAYS are when something is made by a human), then they wont give a shit if a computer is spitting out content without thought or heart. just as long as theyre getting content fast and cheap.

I'm not deleting my art from Tumblr for one simple reason: the human beings interested in my art matter more than the robots who try to steal it.

And also because no matter how much "machine learning" they do, nothing they "create" will never hold a candle to the passion and inspiration that goes into my own art (even if I completely suck ass at drawing lol).

What's up with "death burger" in prompts? I've seen it from several midjourney users

That's a new one on me.

Different memes and theme competitions pop up in the MJ servers all the time, so it's probably one of those. Alternatively, if someone found out that particular word combo made interesting changes to overall prompts, it might be spreading for that reason.

And sometimes the /describe AI gets certain phrases stuck in its craw and incorporates them into unrelated material.

When I moved here from deviantart and livejournal back in 2010 it was because tumblr was where it seemed all the fun was happening: blogging AND sharing others artwork and writings for all to see? Sure! It wasn't out of necessity, just where all the people I enjoy their blogs and art seemed to migrate.

This time around, with the looming presence of midjourney and other AI art garbage, I feel like I'm being forced out. I left deviantart in 2010 on my own accord, seeking other social groups; this? Tumblr 2024 (any popular social media website honestly) feels malicious and invasive. Why the ever loving fuck would I agree to have midjourney take my art? Anything of me? I would rather tumblr shut down due to lack of funds. This is so goddamn awful.
