Batman is a crimefighter operating in Gotham City, he serves as its protector, using the symbol of a bat to strike fear into the hearts of criminals. Unlike other superheroes, Batman is often depicted to lack any "superpowers", instead using lifelong training and equipment to fight crime.

Batman is also known as the 'Caped Crusader', the 'World's Greatest Detective', and the 'Dark Knight'. While most superheroes have superpowers, Batman does not. He relies on his martial arts skills, detective skills, physical strength, intellect, wealth, technology, and will to face the criminals in Gotham City.First introduced in 1939, Batman developed a fan base that spawned his own comic book in 1940, titled Batman.

The arc reactor keeps Tony Stark alive. In the different versions of Iron Man, Stark's group has been ambushed in Vietnam, the Persian Gulf, and Afghanistan. Stark sustained serious injuries as a result. He created the personal arc reactor to generate energy for an electromagnet keeping shrapnel away from his heart.

Stark is initially depicted as an industrialist, genius inventor, and former playboy who is CEO of Stark Industries. Initially the chief weapons manufacturer for the U.S. military, he has a change of heart and redirects his technical knowledge into creating mechanized suits of armor, which he uses to defend Earth.

After the Ultron Offensive, Stark retired from active duty, still haunted by his role in the chaos the A.I. created. The guilt of creating Ultron and causing so much destruction and loss of life eventually convinced Stark to support the Sokovia Accords. Stark was forced to lead a manhunt for his ally Captain America when the latter began protecting the fugitive Winter Soldier, igniting the Avengers Civil War. The result left the Avengers in complete disarray, especially after Stark learned of the Winter Soldier's role in his parents' deaths. Afterwards, Stark returned to New York to mentor and guide Spider-Man into becoming a better hero than he ever was, also becoming engaged with Potts in the process

Daredevil's iconic look is a red suit, with a horned mask. Many fans are also familiar with his black outfit and matching blindfold. However, his first costume was very different. When Daredevil debuted, he wore a bright yellow and black costume made up of a leotard and tights.

Daredevil and Spider-Man aren't heroes that most casual fans associate with each other, but the two are great friends and often work together. These lifelong New Yorkers first met in 1964, and they've been friends ever since.

Most fans know about Matt's biggest loves, Karen Page and Elektra, but devoted comics fans know he also had a romance with Black Widow. The two met when Matt, in his day job as a lawyer, defended Natasha against a murder charge.

Daredevil and Black Widow fell in love and soon started spending their nights fighting crime as a duo. Their romance didn't last but in the forty years since they met, they've been friends, lovers, roommates, and partners in heroism. During the 1970s, they even moved to San Francisco together to fight crime there.

Daredevil and Batman have met several times in crossover events between Marvel and DC. The first time the two encountered each other was in Daredevil/Batman: Eye for an Eye, by D. G. Chichester, Scott McDaniel, Derek Fisher, Gregory Wright, and Bill Oakley.

In this one-shot, Gotham and New York existed in the same universe, and Daredevil and Batman fought each other before teaming up. They briefly met again in Unlimited Access by Karl Kesel, Pat Olliffe, Al Williamson, Gregory Wright, and Jim Novak. Their most recent meeting came in Batman/Daredevil: King of New York written by Alan Grant, with art by Eduardo Barreto, where they fought side by side.
